I've been very happy with Value Vet for over 14 years! They have the BEST, caring staff and great pricing. They were with me every step of Kingsford's (my last dog's) life from 2 months to 13 years, they always knew his name when we walked through the door! Vanessa was his favorite, and soon to be Millie's too. (: They've gotten a lot bigger the last few years, because they are really great at what they do, but they treat Millie like she's special, every time we are there. We usually see Dr. Liz and Dr. Greta and they are AMAZING - but honestly have never had a bad experience with anyone there! We would be lost without them!

I will recommend value vet to everyone I can. I have had all of my animals treated there over the last few years. Every time my experience has been great. They are honest, respectful, and just have all around amazing staff. Over the last year my older Pomeranian got a diagnosis of a collapsed trachea, and Dr. Liz treated him with all of the medicine, and did everything possible to help him and keep him comfortable for his time remaining. Two days ago I had to rush him to value vet as he wasn’t breathing well. When it came to his euthanasia, it was a very peaceful and respectful experience. All of the staff handled it very well, and were here for us and gave us all of the time and information we needed. I can’t thank them enough for taking care of my Snoopy until the end and treating and comforting us as well as they did. I will definitely continue to keep coming back with all of my pets.

Helped my pup same day❤️ My dog was severely sick and needed to go in ASAP, thank goodness for the walk in appointments. All of the staff was kind, friendly, and understanding of my budget. They offered affordable (compared to ER vets) next day surgery and hospitalization. They got my baby all better within the day!! So so grateful for this clinic!! Will be back for routine appointments after seeing the quality and care they put into their work 🥰🙌🏼

My little puppy has severe allergies. Her shots weren't working. Everytime I went to her regular vet they would just give her another shot take my money and send us on our way. It was not helpful for my girl at all. I couldn't take her suffering anymore. I decided to take her to Value Vet walk-in. All the staff greeted her with open arms. She loves people. Immediately they shared the same concerns. Gave her steroids, allergy shots, meds for severe yeast infection and meds for her ears. She was a whole new dog a day later. She is well on her way to recovery and getting ready to ditch her cone. When I paid my bill it was less than 1 allergy shot visit at my regular vet. I highly recommend this place. Do not let the name or lower prices fool you- Value Vet is awesome! The clinic is sparkly clean and staff are friendly and helpful. I also love that they take walk ins and have never waited an unreasonable amount of time. We have lived in this community for many years and gone to several other vet clinics in the past, but Value Vet is our favorite. Clean, caring, thorough and lower prices. Be assured however, the quality of care is outstanding.

I would say there was a definite improvement in friendliness from the vet and her assistant. I felt confident that they cared about my pet. I was asked several times if I had any questions, and each time the answers were clear and informative. We went to Value Vet for the first time today, my 4 month old puppy needed a couple boosters and a check up. I was a little nervous about the wait because it’s walk-in only but we only waited for about 20 minutes. The staff is extremely professional, caring, patient, and knowledgeable. You can tell everybody there loves what they do, and is focused on providing the best experience for your pet. The clinic itself is very clean. The best part is, I paid a fraction of what I would have at my regular vet. I’ll definitely be bringing my puppy back and will be taking my senior dog there going forward as well.

Going to be perfectly honest. We are not a family who have “extra” money for vet expenses. We knew there was a problem with our dog We went to Value Vet for a pain issue our dog was having. They were VERY understanding of our price concerns and never felt pressured to spend outside our budget. Will definitely be going back. Very pleased with services received.

I brought my cat in and she was seen quickly. The Dr was very good with her and listened to my concerns. She gave her a shot for nausea and sent us home some soft food and so far, so good!! Oh and I was expecting a much higher bill when I left so that was a huge plus too! I will definitely be back with any other pet needs and will recommend to family and friends! Thank you!

My regular vet could not get my dog in while she was having severe allergies and they mentioned trying Value Vet since they take walk-ins. Originally I was hesitant at using a walk-in clinic, but wow! They were amazing! Everyone was extremely nice, I didn't have to wait long at all, and the vet was very professional and thorough. I have used Value Vet for all 4 of my animals for years. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. Recently we had an emergency and the staff acted swiftly, which likely saved my dogs little life. The prices are fair and the environment is clean. Updating my review to include that I STILL love this clinic. They’ve moved locations and I am so impressed with the office. We have been handling some health issues with our dogs, one of which can be aggressive (especially during nail trims). The staff is so kind and patient, they are thorough when it comes to getting to the root of potential illnesses. Having a sick pet is always scary but I know my babies are in good hands here, and that all bases will be covered when it comes to a diagnosis. I genuinely enjoy the staff here, and I hope they know how appreciated and important they are!

I found Value Vet a couple of years ago after taking my animals to a few different vets that weren’t to my liking. Value Vet is just amazing! No appt needed, usually in and out fairly quickly. The staff is top notch, I believe they love my dog as much as I do! The prices are so affordable, I just had some growths removed from my dog and the total bill was less than $500. That includes separate bloodwork, anesthesia and an inflatable cone. I so wish I had found them years ago, I will keep coming to here as long as I have a pet. Thanks Value Vet!

My dog was having an allergic reaction to something -- not an emergency, but not something I wanted to wait three days for an appointment for -- and it was great to have somewhere to go and, with a short wait, have my dog seen by a professional at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

My regular vet was all booked up and I needed my pups rabies shot last minute. They recommended Value Vet. I was able to take a photo copy of my pets current records in with me and get it done right away. Online I filled out a new patient form and they did a general health /new patient check at the visit. Afterwards they emailed me a copy of the shot records and I forwarded them to my regular vet. It was walk-in and they were able to take us right away. The vet and staff were friendly and professional. The facilities were clean. My pup came home tired but not at all upset about the visit and shot. Overall it was a fantastic experience. It is good to know that I have backup vet when I need one. I actually may do my pups maintenance shots there annually. Value vets prices cannot be beat!

The vets and staff are so friendly and polite to the customers and pets never had a issue. My lab Shiloh isn’t a fan of getting her nails clip, but when I take her to value vet it’s a breeze. During the time of Covid-19 they have good safety precautions in place to keep everyone safe when you arrive, and to top it of it’s not over priced.

It is so convenient that they accept walk-ins. Very impressed with caring, patient staff. I wasn't aware I was going to be charged for a wellness visit the first time I went (just wanted vaccine). I didn't mind paying though as I know it is a standard practice for first time patients at other clinics (sharing so others are aware). Overall, great experience!

I'm very thankful that I chose this clinic when seeking emergency care for my dog, Joker. He broke a dewclaw nail and seemed extremely distressed by it. He's an older dog and grew up in a shelter. Some of his behaviors can make medical care tough. He's protective of himself and appears to have some anxiety. This causes him to bite when feeling threatened or scared. Personally, I was exhausted and stressed by being up all night and worrying about him potentially not getting proper care. ] I arrived to the clinic close to closing time and was still able to meet with Dr. Liz. She seemed confident and prepared. Staff stayed a few minutes late to make sure he got care. Everyone cheered my very sedated dog on as he wobbled out. Joker is now home resting peacefully with his family. I'm so incredibly relieved! I have no doubt that I'd want to go back in an emergency.

My cat was sick, I was out of town. My daughter took him to one vet and they wanted us to spend $1200 to run blood work. Which would be in addition to the 100 to walk in their door. I love him but it would be impossible to pay that much. I rushed home to take him to vet and found Value Vet a week ago. The doctor there noticed his ears right away, tested them,cleaned them gave him meds, gave him something for parasites because I thought he got into my aquarium. That cost 110 and he is fine now. All due to ear infection. They were very great with him and me. I have been telling everyone about him since.

Value Vet is a great place to go to. I went to a walk in clinic for my puppy and they charged me quite a bit of money and left me with no answers. I took my puppy to Value Vet and they were very kind and diagnosed what was wrong with my puppy almost instantly- we just had to do some blood work to confirm. They are very professional and reliable. They have great, reasonable prices for what they do. I recommend taking your pet Value Vet if you are trying to find a place to care for your pet as much as you do. Best walk in clinic I’ve been to by far.

Excellent, fast experience. I’ve never been to a walk in vet before and needed to get my new rescue cat’s sneezing sorted out. The staff were all very friendly and kind towards me and my cat, who was quite nervous for his first trip to the vet. The whole experience from check in to checkout took 20 minutes, I left with an antibiotic to treat my cat at home, and his rabies vaccine was updated. Everyone there was truly wonderful, I will definitely be back.

This was my first visit and Dr. Jay was awesome with my Jack Russell! One of the behind the desk workers held onto Bailey for me, as I filled out papers. Bailey barks and lunges at each dog as they come through the door. This behavior makes makes it difficult to write.

Very very nice staff. They really care about the animals and take the time to explain what they are doing and is what beat for your pet. There is a long wait on Saturdays but the pets owners and staff are so nice, it really isn't bad at all. Dr. Jay is phenomenal! He really understood my dog's anxiety and made me and her feel comfortable. Go see them! Highly recommended.

Don't let the name fool you. This is a lovely and clean clinic with kind staff. I sadly had to euthanize my dog not long ago and the veterinarian was so kind, patient and informative. She explained everything and made sure I was ok through every step. They even had a private room and exit for this with a comfy couch to cuddle your pets in their last moments. As heartbreaking as it was, the experience was very respectful and kind all around. When I get a new puppy I'll definitely be bringing him to the kind vets and staff of value vet for his health care.

Our three dogs have received excellent care at Value Vet. When one of them was in pain with a dental issue, our regular, more expensive vet office personnel told me they were only taking emergencies and I could take my dog to Emergency vet. I called Value Vet and they saw my chihuahua the same day to eliminate pain. All 3 have since received dental procedures there. Extremely happy with the care received. Highly recommend.

I went to value vet with my dog gizmo & Dr. Jay did everything he could to figure out what was wrong with him. They were very efficient & even help with an anonymous donation towards surgery for gizmo! After the surgery Dr. jay and Scott both checked up on me and gizmo to make sure he was having a perfect recovery. They were very responsive to all my questions I had. Definitely a great place!!

We have gone to Valu Vet for years. Most recently our cat was diagnosed with diabetes. When she suddenly took a turn for the worse the staff and physicians were extremely patient with us and worked to come up with solutions to turn the situation around. While Squeaks died today, we can’t say enough about the care she and we received. We would recommend them to anyone looking for wonderful care and value.

Such an amazing vet clinic with great staff. We have been going there for over 8 years and have recommended them to many that also love value vet. They do not upcharge you or try to scam you out of your money like many other vet offices. I love that they are exclusively a walk in clinic. When I lost my old man Buddy in April of this year, they were very caring and made sure we were all as comfortable as possible. Will be using them in the future most definitely.

We absolutely love Value Vet. They have been so kind to us our with our dog and straightforward with their recommendations. Knowing their prices are reasonable makes it a lot easier to lean towards just taking your dog in when you are worried instead of hoping it gets better. We unfortunately had to put our sweet dog to sleep recently but they were so great with us through the process and after. The card they sent us was such a wonderful touch. We recommend them all the time and will be returning when we add another fur baby to our family!

Seriously, this place is the best! They really do have the best prices. I love that it's walk-in only, and they have extended hours. I can just drop in whenever it works for me. If it's really busy, I can come back another time, or I can wait. Even during the times when it's been very busy and I decided to wait, I didn't wait more than 45 minutes or so. They always remember me and my dogs. When my dog was sick, they took really great care of him and when it was time to let him go they were very understanding and compassionate. I'm not sure why there any any bad reviews, I have used this Vet for years and never had a bad experience. Sure, there are some staff who I find are more friendly than others, but even the ones who are less friendly are always professional and do a great job.

I love Value Vet. I took my 6 month old Cockapoo in for a checkup and shots. I love not having to make an appointment. We were seen very fast, the staff is all very friendly and you can tell they enjoy their work. The vet was great. She answered all of my questions, did not rush me at all and was very informative. The price compared to vets that require an appointment was the same as far as I could tell. This place is genius in their business model! We will be customers for life. The entire staff at Value Vet are wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. Having moved from Chicago within the past year, my experience with vet offices is that there is always a way to upsell expensive tests and products that aren't essential... I had never walked away from a vet visit in Chicago without spending at least $200-$300. Moving to Iowa, I asked for recommendations and Value Vet was a place that many people recommended. Like I mentioned, the staff is wonderful, but the price for the services are incredible. I've been here twice for various allergy issues, immunizations, etc. and all of the prices have been incredibly reasonable. I will definitely be back in the future and will be recommending this place to others.

The first thing I told my husband when I left was "well, we found our new full time vet." I can't say enough about how wonderful they are. I thought there was no way a walk in clinic, on a Saturday, would actually be a good experience. We were a little desperate as the vet we had previously seen couldn't get us in for 2 days (unless we wanted to pay an additional fee to get in sooner). I was wrong, we got in and were seen by their team right away. Dr. Jay was incredible - he was so personable and not only cared about our dog, but also cared about our family. So refreshing. GREAT PRICING, GREAT SERVICE. My lab is schedule for a procedure on the 11th of aug. Total bill for both visits under $800. Again, great pricing. Value vet will continue to be the vet for my lab

I can't say enough about Dr. Jay and Dr. Liz. We have a rat terrier with allergies that manifest themselves as a chronic and painful foot issue. Not only have Dr. Jay and Dr. Liz literally spent hours dealing with her situation, but they're taking extra time to coordinate with the veterinary dermatologists at Iowa State to find a solution. They're unfailingly kind and patient -- but also the highest quality from a clinical standpoint. My children take their dogs there as well, and I refer Drs. Jay and Liz to anyone who will listen. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better veterinary experience.

They are very good at communicating with you about your pets and they are also good at communicating with you about your concerns. I highly recommend.
