The kids and I love visiting the animal rescue league. We actually go every year the week of my birthday to see the animals and make a donation. If you want to check out the second and ranch barn you do have to reach out and contact them before going out there. We were able to walk around the barn and Ella found a rooster she fell in love with, we will be adopting him this week so excited!!!

They're the best, stayed open late for us to take home our new buddy. There are always in need animals, adopt, they make it a breeze and you get to break a homie out of the joint (no offense arl) :)

Just WOW! The staff was so patient with me as I shuffled back and forth between kittens on display waiting to be adopted. Spent a total of two days looking for my new best friend. Just as I thought one was already adopted, she was still there the next morning. Nala (previously known as Lola) ended up coming home with me. It was clear her and I were meant to be from the first time we met in the play room. I am so lucky to have her. Thank you to all the staff at ARL who assisted me in finding my new best friend!

Everyone here is so friendly and has a true love of animals. All my pets have been adoptees from the ARL and I've had nothing but good experiences. If you're considering a pet, please adopt! They have so many sweet animals and no one will share your excitement more than the staff and volunteers at the ARL!

The adoption process was quick and easy. Plus the ARL has some great programs for anybody who is looking for a new pet, we have adopted 2 cats using the rent a cat program. For 2 months you get to have a cat, at least 8 months old or more, in your home to see if they are a happy and enjoyable match for you and then at the end you pay a small fee and the cat is yours, it's great for families who aren't sure, meanwhile the cat is still the ARL's and if there are any health problems etc the cats entire vet bill is covered.

We adopted an adorable husky named Loki from the ARL, and everyone there was so incredibly nice and friendly. The facility is high tech with lots of room for the animals to sleep, play, and eat in. I highly recommend coming here if you want to adopt a new dog or cat. Ciao! ♥

I absolutely love this place. Got a beautiful tortoiseshell kitty here and a different kitty at their clive location. They are always friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and always seem to know how to help. Nothing brings more joy then a fluffy bundle of joy. I heard about the bunny a while ago and my condolence go to your organization. I can only hope things will be better from here.

I adopted Baby Moo from the ARL on April 25th Brian Madison was my Adoption counselor. (I think that was his name) He was very friendly and professional. He also gave great suggestions as well. I changed Baby Moo's name to Moo- Moo. He is adjusting slowly and coming out more and not hiding as much He is my morning "wake up" alarm."

We adopted this beautiful rooster named Matt. He is the sweetest boy! He was seized from a fighting ring sometimes you never know what you're going to get. He loves to be held and as you can tell that is my six-year-old son holding him he is not aggressive whatsoever we love him. Now for the ARL this place was beautiful they helped us out in every way that they could super sweet girls working there beautiful gift shop an area for you to play with a dog or have some quiet time with the cat and then right across the street is the barn and they are very well maintained beautiful horses and roosters and a pig named petunia

Very friendly and helpful staff and volunteers make this a great place to be. The animals seem well taken care of, staff even seemed to know each by name. There are plenty of places to get pets for sure, but the level of dedication, professionalism, and personality would be very hard to beat. Clean, and new(?) facilities are thoughtful and functional. Go adopt a new buddy!

Adopted both my kitties from the ARL and they are my best friends. They both had serious medical conditions before adopting, and they were fully treated and cared for, including one having multiple surgeries to correct an eye issue. Now they are both perfectly healthy and they are obsessed with each other. Love the staff there, and I would love to foster or adopt more in the future! :) Edit: 2 years later and I've adopted two more kitties from the ARL and they are both awesome.

We have been to the Main ARL a few times looking for another dog and we finally found the one that we absolutely love. As long as you are patient for the right one they will do their best to match you. They go over everything with you. So we got Storm(half Boxer/half American Bulldog to go with our Mini Aussie.

I scheduled an appointment online, "flex appointment's", and got myself waiting in the virtual line. My girlfriend had been wanting a dog, but I didn't tell her I was doing any of this beforehand. So a few days later after I get off work I tell her to make sure she'll be ready in twenty minutes, "just enough time for me to get back home". I go pick her up and we head out, "unbeknownst to her", to the A.R.L. I took the back way there so she didn't have a clue where we were going the whole time. I turned to her and asked her if she knew where we were going yet, since we were cresting the last hill to get there. When she finally figured it out she exploded into a ball of excitement and happiness!!! One of the best experiences of my life!! Now we have another member of the family, Ross, a two year old chocolate Labrador. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pet.

What Happened

I was here a week ago not long after they opened for the day, and was greeted and helped immediately upon walking through the door. I had browsed their website for a solid week beforehand as I live a good ways, I feel they could provide a bit more information on their adoptable animals, but thats a small gripe considering they do a good job keeping the website up to date. They keep it very clean and all of their animals look very well attended to. If they aren’t too busy it is best to ask for assistance and additional information about animals you are interested in if it isn’t provided online. I adopted a cat named Whispurr, 11 years old and who is nothing but a cuddle monster, just on his own terms. He adapted well to the other resident felines and quickly at that. He will sleep on or around me at night and I’m certain he knows that this is his forever home.

Gave me a dog they knew had a skin condition and didn’t tell me about it. Wouldn’t take him back due to it being after 30 days before it developed. Kinda shady. But I did love the dog. He was super smart hated giving him up but it caused me allergies so no choice.

We adopted our older male dog, he was so well-behaved. We were happy to make him a part of our senior home. He has been a positive addition and gets along well with our rescued female. They are a blessing to us both, we were very happy with the staff. The adoption process was smooth and worry-free. He checked out great at the vets and has been living with us now for two years. He is an excellent companion and loves going for rides and gets along great with people. We love our rescue dog Sam.

I personally didn’t adopt a dog there but my daughter did a husky & German Shepard mix sweet dog! But they sent him out of the ARL with Kennel Cough. When we notice we called the next day but they didn’t think it was serious enough even though the cough was terrible after 5th day I went down there! They were forced to help him! He is doing pretty good now! They didn’t put any effort into training him whatsoever! I am a monthly donor for this organization a bit disappointed!

7/2/21 ARL was right there to help me with the care my dog when he needed emergency kidney stone surgery and I couldn't afford it. I applied for assistance on their website and the next morning they called and had me setup with a vet that could do the surgery that day. They saved my boys life. I will always be grateful for all the donations they recieve to provide programs like this to help people who are trying to give the care best for their pets.

I was a little skeptical at first about the arl, thought it was just a money for pets, however if you see what you really get its probably the best deal you could get on a pet. The staff is friendly, you can see the really care about their mission. We adopted a neglected dog named max and yes he was a handful at first but everyday gets better. What we got was a cat dressed as a dog he Flys all over the house, is very entertaining and loves attention. We had a big hole to fill in our family and max truly doesn't give us time to be stuck anymore. I'm glad the ARL is here to do the things they do.

We loved our experience here! The obvious care and love for every animal in there was apparent as soon as we entered the building. We were there to find a kitty to become a part of our family and it seemed like the people helping us has known every cat for their entire life. They knew their tendencies and their moods. It really showed how much time and care they out into those cats. We eventually picked out our new kitty Rue and have been in love since. These guys know what they're doing and I'd recommend to get your new animal here!

I love everything they are trying to do to help or furry friends get forever homes! Their policy of letting you adopt a pet and if it's not a "good fit" you can exchange it for another one is a great way to make sure both animal and person are well suited for each other! I think they give you two weeks to decide . Also, I think they should do back ground checks on people just to make sure they don't have any animal cruelty or abuse charges. And one last thing is , it would be great if they had a hot line or a web page where new pet owners could go to get help with potty training and other common issues that owners are faced with. Or make sure they know the basics before they even get to take the pet home. 😊

Great place. Employee was very friendly and patient as she introduced us to all the cats and dogs waiting for a good home. They currently ask you to "wait in line" by calling them or using the website. That way only one family is looking at the pets at a time. Also, unlike some businesses, every employee was wearing their mask correctly and our guide frequently used hand sanitizer.

The staff were friendly & AWESOME with the animals. They demonstrate patience and flexibility when handling/showing and genuinely care for each animal there. All animals were in good condition in clean areas. We rented a cat for 60 days before adoption to make sure it would be a great fit for our family and the cat; and $0 down. Would recommend to all.

Adopted our lovable senior dog, Todd, there. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals. They had a great pet supply shop inside where you get a discount if you are adopting but you can go there anytime it's open. We got a discount on adoption fees for our Todd because he was a senior. Their website has the listings and info about the different animals they have available and was helpful to us for window shopping before we arrived.

My experience was wonderful and We fell in love with two dogs but my first choice was reserved and my second was adopted then they told me the first choice was not reserved for a interested family so I ended up getting June who I wanted. June is now Maisy Griffith-Roland. What a wonderful addition to the family. We have to potty train her and get a couple shots that she needs and it was an easy adoption. I recommend anyone who is looking for a forever fur baby to go here and look for your new family member!

My dog passed away very unexpectedly from Pyometra and I rushed to get her cremated but arrived 10 minutes after they closed but there were still plenty of workers inside. This was very inconvenient since my dog was very big and I had to leave her in the car overnight in the hot summer. I hope in the future it is possible to drop off a fur baby for cremation and not have to deal with looking at them lifeless.

Today I adopted 3 kittens from ARL. The staff was very helpful, in spite of how busy they were doing vaccines on all of the cats. They told me that the cat I was looking for was at another location so I went down there and they were wonderful as well. I was in and out in less than half an hour. The kitties are healthy and very happy here in their new home. The next 20 years with these beautiful animals should be completely wonderful. Thank you, ARL.

The staff and volunteers are so passionate. I wasn’t sure I was ready to adopt a dog yet, but just wanted to look. I stopped in and fell in love with a dog. When I returned to adopt, she was already adopted so I decided to look around when I decided to take a chance on a sweet black lab mix puppy. They brought him out for me very quickly, found out all his information when I asked (had a mark on his back from a form of mange that was treated by them, awesome!). I took Smokey, now know as Wrigley, home that day and I couldn’t be happier. The staff was so incredibly nice and were genuinely excited for me. They give you a huge information packet that includes a free first visit to the vet. Very clean facilities, all the animals are very well cared for, all microchipped, and I can’t say enough how much the staff truly cares. Couldn’t be happier!

I came in today with my roommate, looking at some dogs to adopt. We looked at one that didn't seem like a good match so the person helping us suggested another on, Koby. It was like love at first sight LOL. His big brown eyes just melted my heart and my roommate and I decided it would be a good match, especially for her dog who also seems to love Koby. I highly recommend adopting from this rescue, but don't get too attached to pictures of dogs because this place is first come, first serve and doesn't hold any animals, which i can understand why they have this rule. Again, 10/10 recommend this place for adoption.

Staff and volunteers are so kind and helpful. We went to just play with some animals and left with a bonded pair of cats. This was 2 weeks ago. The staff perfectly matched the cats to our family and I can't imagine life without these sweethearts now. The ARL is clean, well-staffed and inviting. Animal bios are as complete as possible and the staff tries to provide as much training as possible while the animals are there.

Adopted 2 cats from here. The one was on the website and described accurately. We live trapped kittens and brought them here. They adopted them out. We have used their vet services for low cost spay and neuter when it wasn't available where we lived. Have also received advice by phone that really helped. I am now a volunteer for them. I got my dog here. She was very sick. A 3 year old,Only 30 lbs, which is very light for a Labrador. I really am glad the ARL was there to put her up for adoption. It’s a year later now and she is 55 lbs and very energetic. She couldn’t be happier. Also I had my cat cremated for a private cremation. They handled him very well and were very respectful and they returned his ashes in a very nice container. Thanks ARL. You’re they best!

We adopted our sweet cat Millie from the ARL over a year ago at the main location. We have loved our little nugget and the ARL has always been helpful with any questions we had. We've stopped in a few other times to look at getting another pet and the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful each time. We especially love their rent a pet program that let's you do a slow introduction with pets already in the home. They let you return the pet if it doesn't work out and give you a full refund.

Only place I'll adopt my fur babies from! They may not always know everything you wish they would know about the animal you're interested in, but they sure do try! Adopted my bubba cat 3 1/2 years ago now and the process was smooth! Very helpful in finding a pet suited for us. One of our fur babies passed away last summer and they were very comforting and helpful when it came to the cremation process and looking for a new fur friend for our other babies. The first doggo we picked and loved wasn't quite the right fit for us so we took advantage of their return/exchange window and picked out another fur baby. I love that the animals are chipped and checked out before being put up for adoption. So happy to have been able to save some fur babies ❤️ Thank you volunteers!!

Wonderful facility! My husband and I went in here a few times over the course of a couple of months to check out some of the dogs they had available for adoption and each time the volunteers and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Three weeks ago I adopted a stray year old cat. She papers to be a nearly if she isn't a pure breed lilac point Siamese. She is a wonderful kitty, and gets along famously with my other cat, Cody. I was looking for a companion for Cody as he missed hid two older sisters. It was a match made in heaven. I have now adopted two cats in two years and the ARL has been great to work with. Great place to get a furry companion from very clean and organised. Let you know exactly how you should report issues once pet is adopted. Also offers classes, pet store items, meet and greets in a closed off hug rooms. Very friendly staff as well.

We had a wonderful experience! We were looking to adopt a kitten for my daughter for Christmas. Boy did we find the purrrrfect one! He was back in the room where they keep the sick kitties while treating them. He had a slight cold but we immediately loved him. He gives hugs and kisses and loves to be up around your neck and carried constantly! He even is ok with wearing sweaters and other clothes!!His cold is gone and he has bonded with his new mom and dad. Very clean. The staff and volunteers are extremely friendly. We had to take a puppy there once 5 years ago it broke my heart but we could afford his vet treatment and had no time to train him, (we were told it was a 2yr jackrussel by owners turned out it was a 6month old mix no training.) we also got our 5yr old dog there in 2013.

Our current dog, who came to us from someone who was moving into senior living, needed a playmate. (Long story.) I looked at the dogs listed on the ARL website and found one in which we were interested. I was completely impressed by the staff and service we received while adopting a dog at the ARL. ARL was great to us when we adopted a dog from here that didn't really work out with my toddler. They were very compassionate and caring when we brought the dog back. We also adopted our little Dachshund from them, while we did have a few issues with her health, ARL did help remedy the situation. Overall, a shelter is a great place to get a dog, if you're going to adopt, just be a little cautious and ask a lot of questions.

We were there for a party in one of the rental rooms. The room was nice and roomy, nice setting, plenty of space for a modest size get together. The day we went there were some issues though. They had offered us a tour though the animals, including the horse barn, but we never got the tour. And when my sister went up to ask later if she could see some of the animals, she was told (quite rudely) they it was after they closed (6pm) so she couldn't. I also know that when the ones got there to set up, they had to wait because the staff had lost the key. That made them late for setting up, so they were still setting up everything well after the time the party was supposed to start This might be just an isolated incident, but that was our experience last weekend.

We were sad that we had to take out one of our rescued cats to the shelter but it was necessary because are two male cats are not getting along after we added this one to the mix. I rather male cat that has been with us and been so gentle forever but my son three times. So we were glad that the ARL was here and had a wonderful place and would hold on to him until they could find a new home for him. The accommodations for the cats are incredible. They have Condos for a lot of the cats along with some of them in their own little spaces. They had a pair of cats that had medical needs that have been there for over 2 years that needed to be adopted together. I know that our orbit is in good hands if they will wait that long for these to be adopted that I'm sure they will help find him a good home. #lzdrv #littlezebradragons

I think this place is a hit and miss on some things, like animal adoption, mostly good animals but one time my sister in law adopted a cat from them and I couldn't get over how bad it smelled the first day she brought it home. It made me have service thoughts of adopting from them. Yet another time when my cat was looking very sickly, I had him taken in and examined. They found his kidneys were failing so we agreed to have him put to sleep. Heart broken and no money, with the help of another stranger who put a few dollars down towards the cremation of my cat and the arl willing to take payments, I was able to take his ashes home. I still owe them money but I still was able to take my baby home. I can't thank them enough! Thank you arl

I love the ARL and the work they do. I take them my newspapers, empty pill bottles, empty plastic bags (from newspaper bags, bread sacks, to grocery bags) and they can also use empty toliet paper and paper towel rollers. When I go to garage sales, I always watch for any size of towels, wash clothes, lap blankets to regular blankets and sheets. They have so many uses for these items. I must admit, I cannot look at the animals... I want to adopt them all!

They have a good foster program and lots of opportunities to get animals out and about while they're living ar the shelter.
