I've been going to Gentle Touch since 2019. We absolutely loved their customer service and level of care through the pandemic. I'm not sure what changed this year but customer service isn't what I used to experience. They were unclear about my cat's medical history, at another point they said they'd talk to the doctor and give me a call back but never did, and overall just seem more brief than they have in the past. I recognize that level of care is more important than customer service so I wouldn't rate them lower than four stars but it's not the right place for us anymore.

Dr. Powers and the staff here are absolutely phenomenal. They have been more than helpful during the process of 2 ACL surgeries for my chocolate lab. You can really tell that the people here are passionate about what they do and want to help your fur babies in every way they can. I’m so thankful to have found them for my pups surgeries, they gave me a great comfort knowing there were wonderful people with beautiful hearts helping us.

Our dogs are our babies and sadly, finding a good vet these days is very challenging. Gentle touch has amazing vets we have seen Dr. Kaplan, Dr. Powers, and Dr. Dunham they are all amazing and we know coming here that they are getting amazing care and they aren’t just trying to get money out of you. The techs and front office staff are wonderful and have been really good about following up, sending documentation very timely and always make sure we are kept in the loop. We have had surgeries done here and everything has gone very smoothly. I appreciate everything this clinic does for our boys!

After moving to Colorado a couple of years ago I went to a few vets that I wasn't satisfied with. Once I brought my doggo to Dr. Powers I didn't need to look any further. She was able to help diagnose my dog, Pablo, with hypothyroidism and helped him be himself again. If you're new in town or just looking for a new vet please consider Gentle Touch. We were so happy with our experience at Gentle Touch. Starting with the receptionists, to the vet techs and vet, everyone was so nice and caring. I brought our dog in with a bump on her leg which turned out to be a cancerous tumor. Dr. Powers diagnosed her during the initial visit and got a surgery scheduled within a few weeks. Luckily she was able to get the tumor completely removed so we will get to enjoy many more years with our dog. Everyone I spoke to throughout the process was amazing. They explained everything, answered my questions and gave me a detailed quote prior to the surgery. Thank you for saving our baby, we are all so grateful.

Every experience was great. I took my 8-year-old dog in for a check-up. We ended up setting another appointment for the recommended oral surgery. Everyone was amazing! My dog did great. It's always a little nerve racking when dealing with your pets health (both emotionally and financially) but there were no bad surprises, they did a good job of keep me informed, what to expect, checking in, etc. My pet seemed well-taken care of and in good hands.

I have been taking my dogs to Gentle Touch Animal Hospital for 4 years now. I have never been disappointed. The staff is helpful and professional. I've seen all of the vets and they are great too. One of my dogs had Cushings and fear aggression; the team at Gentle Touch did so much to help him with his health and work with him and his fear aggression. They always did everything they could do to make him feel comfortable. He never let anyone but me pet him. But there were a few staff members at Gentle Touch who did earn his trust and allowed them to pet him. I have faith and confidence in their services and expertise. And most importantly, they truly do care about animals and their care.

The service is absolutely exceptional! Exactly what you should expect when taking your animals to the vet. Was looking for a new clinic after my old one was going downhill. Daniel helped me set up an appointment same day to get both of my dogs in! Was so kind and caring on the phone. Anna was my tech and was so knowledgeable and helpful and seemed like she really cared about my dogs and how my experience was. The atmosphere in the hospital is calming and clean. Anyone looking for a new vet come here! Best place I've been and welcoming, kind hearted and exceptional service! My doctor was Dr. Van Koot also 10/10 not too pushy on services and was just interested in making sure my dogs were taking care of and all of my questions were answered and then some! So glad I found my forever vet in Denver. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

Found this animal hospital when my senior cat and I moved to Denver in 2017. They were right between my home and office, but even after moving to Castle Rock, and my job moving to Aurora, we continued coming here. We always received quality care and service. They could always fit him into their (very busy) schedules for every emergency, communicated with me frequently, and are very transparent with their pricing. This is a certified fear free practice which made me comfortable leaving him with them for every surgery, or drop off appointments. Dr Dunham listened to every concern I had, is very easy to talk to, and took excellent care of Fred. Every tech we interacted with was full of kindness and knowledge and took wonderful care of both of us. We will miss them all now that Fred is gone, but we'll be bringing future pets here for care.

This place lives up to its name! I had to make the hardest decision about my beloved 15 year old cat. They were so kind, helpful, explaining everything so I can understand. Walked through the cost of services before doing them so I could afford what I could at the time. They provided great recommendations for at home services. I think the staff here is top notch! I called around 10am and was able to make an appointment for that afternoon at 4:30 My dog Bruce has a bit of a “strong “ personality, and can be a bit difficult in certain social situations …. But Dr. Tasky and the Vet Tech that assisted her, we’re so good with my dog… by the end of the appointment, he was feeling better and was getting loved on by the staff, and that made my day. Took great care of my cat Chance after he hadn't been to the vet in a while. After he reacted a little funny to some vaccines they made sure he was okay and only charged me for the medicine to ensure he'd be alright. Helpful, friendly staff and nice facilities. Maybe a little on the more expensive side compared to past clinics but it's worth it for your pets.

They were so amazing. We brought our baby pug here to get shots then our older dog (about 18 y/o) started declining. I called on a whim hoping they'd be able to fit her in and they did! I absolutely love this place. Dr. Dunham is the best. Here's what I like: 1. You can do curbside for the apt or if you prefer go to their lobby. 2. When you call, you can speak to a person and not a machine and the communication is great. If they say they're going to call you back with results of bloodwork or to schedule an apt, they do. 3. When we get the annual exams for our senior doxie they provide itemized receipt which I love, being able to see each test they ran and everything that goes into the care. 4.They send out reminder text messages for refills and upcoming exams which keeps us on track. Point being, We trust these brilliant animal healers and lovers with our 12 year old furry best friends care. They provide a great service and care.

Gentle touch has been nothing but good to me since I started going here. I was worried at first, after reading yelp reviews stating they were overcharged or charges were not disclosed or they were overbilled... I experienced none of this, not one bit. Every visit had all charges explained in detail and prices are reasonable. I have never had a single bad experience with a staff member and Dr. Dunham has been beyond fantastic. I always receive a phone call when my dog is doing well after a procedure, I also receive a phone call when things don't go as planned and there will be additional charges (and an explanation and dollar amount for said charges). My only gripe is they recommend VCA for emergency/after-hours care, which have been absolutely beyond terrible from numerous personal experiences.

They've gottern her through 2 bouts of pancreatitis, removal of a mammary tumor and countless visits for gastroenteritis and allergy shots! Gentle Touch Hospital saw my Cat Ben on short notice during the Covid-19 shutdown. They where professional and practiced proper social distancing to keep myself, my pet and themselves safe. They did a thorough inspection and diagnosis. They are aware of the hardships many people in the area are going through and offered me a price I thought was more than fair. They offered to hold any additional tests while we monitored his situation and they kept in touch with me daily to monitor his condition. Luckily, Ben's condition improved almost immediately with a simple steroid and pain reducing agent but if it had not I would of had no qualms on visiting Gentle Touch again. If you are looking for a quality animal hospital Gentle Touch is a great option.

Update 8/2022: Dr. Dunahm is just perfect. Can’t put my gratitude for her in words! She immediately makes you feel better … —-——-——-——-— Update 6/2021: We took the kitty for annual check-up and vaccination. Emily got us checked-in in less than 10 minutes and she was very friendly. Dr. Dunham patiently answered all of our questions. Thank you! ____________________________ My kitten has been sick since we adopted him. He got very sick that day and his vet (Aspen Commons Animal Hospital) kept us waiting in the car for more than 2 hours (when I called, they said they could see him if I get there in 20 minutes. I got there in 15 minutes but they still kept us waiting and said they were not sure if they could see him!!!!!!) ... so I frustratedly called different vets and finally Gentle Touch Animal Hospital made me a same day appointment. Everyone was very nice and Dr. Powers patiently answered my questions. The best part is that the kitty finally seems to be getting better :) Also, they called me twice in the following days to check on the kitty’s health. Happy that I finally found a great vet and clinic for my kitten 😻

This is the BEST clinic in Denver! We have had the best experiences over the past year with Gentle Touch. We have a rescue with extreme anxiety and fear. All other clinics have treated us like our dog was too crazy to deal with and we weren’t getting correct treatment for his health issues. Dr. Powers is truly the most amazing Veterinarian, she worked with us going the extra mile to work around our dogs fear and anxiety. She is an amazing diagnostician, surgeon and Internist, plus our “difficult “ dog actually allows her to pet him ( this has never ever happened) She is our forever vet! We have been taking our dog Murphy here for almost two years. He has had a handful of issues over the last couple of years so we have been at the office a lot. I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone on the staff. We have seen all of the doctors in the office at this point and have had great experiences with all of them. Everyone is always pleasant and professional. I can tell the staff really care about the pets and they even remember Murphy and what was going on with him and ask how he is doing. They always follow up with phone calls to check in so I really feel like they monitor all of the pets closely even when they are back home. We took our two American Eskimo dogs to get their checkups to this amazing Animal hospital & it was the easiest, kindest, most efficient visit we have ever had with a vet clinic! Our dogs are usually traumatized after they visit the vet, but not here. They took covid safety precautions and made this such an easy and efficient visit. The vet called us to discuss any concerns we had and really was compassionate with her care for them. The team that came out to get our pups were very gentle with them and so very kind and professional. My dog was recently bitten on the leg and I didn't know what to do. Was the wound bad enough to go to the vet? Would she get better on her own? After researching and calling clinics in our area, I came across Gentle Touch Animal Hospital. I gave them a call and immediately felt at ease. They offered kindness and sympathy right off the bat. They were upfront about their pricing and were able to see my dog the same day. Once we arrived at the clinic, I was really impressed to see that they were kind and calm with my dog. She has a lot of anxiety when it comes to going to the vet and started shaking the moment we walked through the door. The staff had plenty of treats on hand and gave her positive reinforcement. They walked me through the treatment options and gave me a few choices. Their prices were reasonable and I felt that my dog was truly cared for. We will be returning to Gentle Touch for all of our pet needs.

They deserve 10 stars. I can't say enough great things about this clinic. Every interaction was top notch. I was traveling through the Denver area with my German Shepherd. He was having some discharge from his left eye. Not being local and needing to get in quick, I called a number of offices before I reached Gentle Touch. They were able to get me in the next day. Prior to having my dog taken in, they discussed all possible treatments and charges. Getting approval before anything being done. First time ever have I had this happen and I have owned dogs for over 20 years. This eliminated any surprises when the final charges came. I wish everyone did business this way. Because of covid, I only saw Chloe, the tech, but the Dr. called me twice prior to doing any treatment explaining what she was going to do, why and the charge. In and out quick with great communication during the entire process. Thank you for your caring service and getting me in with little advance notice.

Couldn’t find a vet last minute the day before Thanksgiving for my dog who had very dark blood in his feces. I called all around and I am so thankful I stumbled on this hospital! Not only were they able to get me in same day, but they made me feel like I was in good hands! They did not disappoint! They were so kind, caring, and really listened to my concerns. Jada and Dr. Dunham took great care of our senior boy Frankie. He is usually pretty fearful when going to the Vet, but he seemed less anxious this time with all the positive reinforcement given. Dr. Dunham explained the preventive care plan and Frankie's dental cleaning in great detail, she helped coordinate Frankie's vaccination schedule so, he isn't coming in to the Vet 4-5 times a year. Dr. Tasky wanted to do an additional panel of tests because of my dog's age and I am glad I took her advice because this led to a more aggressive treatment. Had she not suggested running these tests, I likely would have paid more to bring my dog back another time since the treatment likely would not have been effective enough. I cannot think of anything better than the companionship of a dog! But when that dog is sick and needs help, it is such a comfort to know there are vets that care and are competent. I have been taking both of my dogs to see both vets here since I moved to CO in 2019. From the moment we step in the front door both myself and my dogs are greeted with familiarity and kindness...the front office staff, techs, and vets know me and they know my dogs! I have only had positive experiences here with both of my dogs...and I have a dog with Cushing’s which is not easy to treat or manage! He also has fear anxiety and the entire staff at Gentle Touch (front desk, techs, and vets) has carefully and kindly managed him and his fears. He is actually starting to feel more comfortable with his visits which is such a relief to me. I never feel rushed and always feel my dogs are in good hands! Finally, unfortunately due to my dog’s health, I am at the vet frequently. And while this has nothing to do with the vet services, I just have to add that these are just plain nice people! I recently had to deal with an emergency issue with my Mom’s health in FL. Not only did the staff help me find kennel services for my dog but they also gave hugs and kind words to a person who really needed it during a difficult personal time. I took both of my dogs to the clinic for a tooth cleaning and dropped them off around 8am, it took a few hours before I was able to pick them up but they explained that it is technically a surgery so they get their teeth cleaned whenever they are able to, so it was totally fine! My dogs are both pretty anxious when it comes to animal hospitals but they were totally calm and had a great demeanor when I came to pick them up. My dog has had a recent string of bad health, so I have become a bit of a frequent flyer at this vet clinic. At first I only chose this place because it is close to my home, but now I think this will be my go-to vet even if I move. The staff here is awesome. They are quick to get to you, and they couldn't be nicer to me or to my very anxious dog. The vets are super knowledgeable and they make sure that I understand what the problem is instead of just handing me a medication and sending me off. They even call a day or a week after the visit to check in and see how my dog is doing. Rushing off to the vet every week or so isn't ideal for anyone, but it's at least nice to know that the people here actually care.

Traveling on a two-week road trip from Florida, my dog got violently ill. I was initially recommended to another Denver-area Vet hospital which had me wait for over 2 hours with no communication, just to later tell me (when I called them) they may, or may not be able to see my dog that same day. Disgusted, I left that Vet hospital and then called GENTLE TOUCH, who picked up immediately, and were able to get my dog in within 30 minutes. The staff was amazing, very smart, professional, prompt (took my dog in even before her appointment) and VERY communicative. Their COVID process was easy and smart from the parking lot. If I lived in the Denver area, I would make this my primary Vet. Recognizing that Gentle Touch knew they probably would never see us again, as we live in Florida, that didn't stop them from giving us awesome service and giving us exactly what we needed to get us back safely to our primary vet. I moved here from Atlanta knowing only my boyfriend. My corgi has some fear and anxiety driven aggression issues and was already on puppy Prozac, but it only seemed to take the edge off. I didn't have much experience with this, as my roommate in Atlanta had been kind enough to foster him while I came out ahead for 6 months to see how I would like living here. My boyfriend has been bringing his 10 year old mix here for several years and readily recommend them. I took my pup in and asked about either adjusting the time of day he took his meds or maybe the dose itself and they listened to me and suggested upping the dosage as well as giving it to him twice a day instead of just once every 24 hours. It has helped him tremendously! I really appreciated them listening to my concerns as well as calling to check in and see how he was doing after starting the new regiment! Hopefully the pandemic will end soon so I can truly meet these fellow animal lovers in person, and not just through a mask and my open car window! But I also appreciate them following safety measures such as having numbered parking spots that you can call or text to let them know you are in and they can come to you, whether to pick up/drop off your pet, bring you medicine refills, or specialty food. They are always prompt and friendly. Thank you so much for being here and being wonderful for my beloved boy (and step dogter that I love as my own)! I LOVE this vet! I brought my husky puppy here because my boyfriend had been bringing his golden here since her had a less than fantastic experience at other verts. I took my husky to a clinic and they misdiagnose her ear mites as dry skin. After a month of no improvement I brought her to Gentle Touch and she was diagnosed within minutes and given the proper medication. They went above and beyond to introduce the puppy to the vet and SPOILED her. She has no fear of the vet. The staff is amazing at responding and helping me figure out my vet bill prior to bringing the pup in so that I can budget. When the unfortunate time came to put our amazing golden Riley down Gentle Touch made the experience nicer than I have ever experienced before. Usually when putting a dog down you do it in the usual vet visit room and it has a factor that makes it stressful for the animal and the owner. Gentle Touch has an entire room decorated with couches, puppy blanket, ALL the treats you could imagine, pillows, and its your own little private room. They gave us plenty of time to grieve and let them know when we were ready. They gave us all the time we wanted in the room after, and within just a few days we had Riley's paw print. It made the extremely hard day for my boyfriend and our families a much nicer experience then I ever had. I CANNOT recommend this vet enough. They truly are the best vet I think I have ever used. I came in to update my vaccinations for my cat, and before I even visited, they called twice to confirm my appointment, which is helpful enough as is, but the vet herself gave me a call to introduce herself and say hello. It was wonderful to have an introduction to who was going to be helping my fur baby. The love for animals is very apparent from the moment you and your pet enter. The Gentle Touch staffs approach to handling the animals is very different from other clinics I have visited. My dog gets super excited to go to the doctor because he knows everyone will take a moment to love on him, he is bound to get a treat or two during the process and the atmosphere is safe and soothing. For example, they ensure that cats and dogs are seen in separate exam rooms so the cats don't get upset by the smell of the previous dog patient. Staff are caring and professional, suggest tests and vaccines based on current knowledge, and offer insurance plans to try to keep the cost down. During the COVID pandemic, they have put in place curbside drop-off to protect their customers and staff. Amazingly, early in the stay at home orders, they sent an email asking if customers needed ANYTHING, such as grocery shopping!! I am brand new to the area and didn’t have a vet set up yet. Of COURSE my beloved Meowser Mayhem started showing some distress on a Saturday. I started Googling around. The few places that answered the phone at all told me they wouldn’t take us because we were “new.” I steadily grew more stressed. I finally called Gentle Touch and they gave me honest advice over the phone and we scheduled for Tuesday. An hour later a vet called me from Gentle Touch to just introduce herself and chat with me. This was so nice!! As we talked some more she thought maybe I should bring him in sooner and said she could get him it that afternoon. SO grateful! We showed up and they were prompt in responding to our text that we were in the parking lot. (Covid times.) The paperwork was quick and easy, they took all of my records I brought and copied them while I filled out the forms. It was probably 10min total before they came out for Meowser. I was a frantic crazy cat mom with my questions and worries and everyone listened to me and answered and were patient and understanding. They called within 10 min of bringing him in to talk to me about their assessments. The pricing was extremely reasonable, they THOROUGHLY explained everything to me and fielded all my questions and concerns like pros. I truly felt like they cared for Meowser and I would recommend them with no worries. They are now going to be the primary vet for both my fur babies.

I cannot thank this team enough. If It allowed for a 10 star rating, they would have it. My dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis that became markedly worse within 24 hours. When I called my normal vet (Banfield), I was told that even though it was an emergency, he couldn’t been seen there. Gentle touch got my little guy in QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY. Both of the doctors called me regularly with updates (5x/day) without being prompted. They even HAND FED my little guy to make sure he ate!!! I appreciate the love and attention more than I can express. Thank you for taking care of him and putting me at ease while he was hospitalized for a couple of days. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I am absolutely impressed by everyone here. We just moved from out of state and found this vet clinic when we needed to bring one of our dogs in. Dr. Tasky is very knowledgeable, explains what she recommends AND why she recommends it. I left there leaving with no questions or confusion. Every employee there is so kind and very welcoming. We even received multiple calls from them to ensure our dog Baylee was doing well after our visit. I see reviews state that price is an issue for some people - yes, you can probably find other clinics at a lower cost, HOWEVER, you will not get the same quality of care Gentle Touch provides. We communicated what we could afford / were looking to spend and Dr. Tasky went out of her way to work with a treatment plan to take care of what we needed at a cost we were comfortable with. Update due to owner response: when I originally brought her in her nail was not infected. It was the paw that got swollen due to something else that is the ONLY thing you treated for the $800. My current vet treated the nail. I’m not paying $86 EVER for my dogs nail to be just trimmed back so it wouldn’t snag more. Thankfully went to my vet the next day and it was free of charge and they were happy to help without wanting to rob me.. Clara is perfectly well despite what y’all assume. This is the vet to go to to drop $100s of dollars and not look into or care for what your animal is being treated for. Like I said my vet has great prices and the same education as the next vet. Went to get my dogs nail trimmed because she cracked her nail. The front desk associate told me it was going to be $86 dollars because she needed a vet visit. I told her absolutely not I’ve already spent close to $800 dollars with them in one visit. I just needed the nail trimmed back. Thankfully she saw reason and got my dogs nail trimmed within 5 minutes after I told her I wasn’t going to drop her off. I appreciate their help but I’m gong to stick with my regular Vet no matter the distance. Better prices for the same services and education as any other vet.

Before I turned to Gentle Touch, my 100 pound German Shepherd had been subjected to muzzles and forceful treatment by veterinarians and their technicians. This team is excellent! I truly recommend Gentle Touch Animal Hospital as a first rate team. At my previous vet, my dog received a very poor prognosis related to kidney disease. She was given 3 months to live and I spent time mourning that news and my future with my pet. Two months later, I visited Gentle Touch. Dr Tasky apologized on behalf of the profession for what that previous vet threw at me, in terms of time left. While lab numbers rarely change in a positive way with elderly pets, Dr Tasky’s interpretation of lab results was encouraging and realistic. My dog has lived past the 3 month prognosis, as Dr. Tasky predicted. My dog is going on 3 years. Dr. Tasky put everything into perspective with logic and care. I expect to have my Maggie around for a while. I know that getting the answer you want isn’t a reason to rate highly but getting the, obviously, right answer is the prime reason for why I rate them 5+ stars.

My dachshund recently got chomped by a pit bull in the neck and could've easily died from the the experience, but Amanda Fleischman and her expert staff came to the rescue. My furry child in already healing from a bad infection and 4 nasty bite holes in his neck. The doc has been using a cold laser therapy on my dog's muscles and he is almost fully recovered after a little over a week. I am so thankful for everyone here before and after this experience. Hands down, the best.

After having difficulties with communication (among other things including a wrong diagnosis) from Broadview Animal Clinic, I took my kitty to Gentle Touch. They reviewed his bloodwork from the other vet and told me the truth and saved me from potentially harming my kitty Simba from a poorly reccomended perscription diet, and probably lots of money, too! Gentle Touch genuinely cares and knows how important our furbabies are. They are truly dedicated to making sure your pet is happy and healthy. Some reviews here state that they are just trying to get the most money from you and reccomend proceedures that are unnecessary, and I think those statements are false. Gentle Touch gives you options and reasons behind everything they reccomend, in the best interest of your animal, and for your peace of mind, too. They don't force or guilt you to do anything for your pet; they share their hard-earned knowledge and genuine concern. I also appreciate their COVID-19 rules. As much as it sucks to not be able to go in with your pet, it would suck more if any of the staff or possibly even the pets getting sick from COVID. This is a small, temporary sacrifice to make in return for peace of mind. To me, it also shows Gentle Touch really cares! Simba approves this message.

I cant say enough kind things about our experience with Gentle Touch yesterday. My very recently adopted dog Bruno, had a sudden onset of bloody diarrhea and vomiting. He had been seen by a different vet a couple of weeks prior for a wellness check, and everything was normal. A quick google search of the symptoms indicated that this was an emergency situation, and it is safe to say I was worried. I called the initial vet, and they couldn't see him, understandable, but I needed a solution. Google time again. Based on reviews and proximity I called Gentle Touch, and I'm so glad I did. The initial call immediately eased my mind. Selena, I believe, was kind and understanding. She wrote down all of the details I provided. This seems like a small thing, but how many times have you provided all details on a call only to have to provide them again? Then the answer I was looking for. "We can get him in, the Doctor will see him between appointments." It had to be a drop off appointment, which admittedly, made me nervous. That nervousness was alleviated as soon as we arrived. The technician that came to get Bruno took 5 minutes to introduce herself to him before putting a second leash on him. It was readily apparent she genuinely loved animals. She explained the process and all initial charges up front, and that Dr. Dunham would call me with additional information. That's exactly what happened. Dr. Dunham called and explained the tests she wanted to do, along with all associated costs. I was prepared to spend what was necessary, and could've easily been taken for a ride when it came to treatment costs. To my absolute surprise the diagnosis and treatment costs were much lower than I had anticipated. In fact, they were on par with what I had paid at the previous vet for an appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived to pick up Bruno, the technician who brought him out, was equally as impressive as the first technician. Bruno was in good spirits, and it was evident he was well cared for in my absence. She again recapped all costs, and went over the treatment plan in great detail. There were zero unexpected costs, or changes to the plan, as I had seen mentioned in a few negative reviews. There were no additional costs for seeing him urgently with no appointment, which I fully expected and wouldve happily paid. The best part is my k9 companion is already feeling better. Thank you to everyone at Gentle Touch. You made me feel like Bruno was a priority. The entire staff exhibited compassion, professionalism, and a sense of urgency that made it known Bruno was in great hands. Bruno has a new vet.

I have only lived in Denver for about 2 years, but with 4 pets, we've needed to visit the vet a few times, and I would just like to mention a couple of examples of the kind of care we have received at Gentle Touch. First, earlier this year, my Bassett Hound was feeling ill in the middle of the night and I had to take him to a 24 hour emergency vet. Sadly, that vet misdiagnosed him and a few days later, my poor puppy was not any better - so I called Gentle Touch. Dr. Dobkin agreed to see us right away and within 20 minutes of our arrival, we had the correct diagnosis and a treatment plan that brought my dog immediate relief. I can't even describe how wonderful that experience was, and how much we appreciated the follow up calls from both Dr. Dobkin and the staff checking on how our dog was doing. Second, I also have a cat with some chronic health issues who has a history of requiring hospitalization. So last week, when he started feeling ill, I called Gentle Touch right away. Dr. Dobkin agreed to see us that day. He evaluated my cat and determined that he needed a procedure that the cat had required in the past (and which usually has meant hospitalization for 2-3 days). What made this experience so special was - because of the training and skill of Dr. Dobkin and the staff, not only did my cat get the care he needed right away, but I was able to take my cat home within a few hours (instead of a few days) where he could recover in his own home. Thank goodness not all of our visits to Gentle touch involve emergencies like the visits mentioned above, but with routine wellness visits and dental exams, we have always experienced the same level of kindness and professionalism toward our pets and us. Additionally, we really appreciate that the staff at Gentle Touch are very upfront and direct about the estimated cost of care when laying out treatment options, so we've never been surprised by a bill. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Dobkin and the staff at Gentle Touch. We actually drive past 3 other vet offices on the way to the office because we are so happy there. If you need a vet, you can't go wrong with Gentle Touch:)

I have been taking my two Boston Terriers to Gentle Touch Animal Hospital for years - my oldest pup is nearly 9 years old and has seen Dr Tasky since he was 10 weeks old! He actually gets excited as we approach the building because he anticipates how much love and attention he'll get from the entire team! The younger one is skittish, nervous and less enthusiastic about a visit but they handle her with lots of care and love. I trust the entire team and know that Dr. Tasky will always provide me with appropriate information and options when it comes to their care. The follow up is incredible - I always get a call after a visit to see how they are doing. When we've been in a situation where a last minute visit is required they do everything possible to make sure we can get in to see the Dr that day. I can't comment on how they compare to other vets in terms of costs, but I honestly cannot imagine taking them anywhere else.

We moved to Colorado less than 2 years ago from California. We had a good vet that generally took good care of our cat children with one exception, he sent us to a specialty clinic that required $4,000.00 to treat one of the cats for what turned out to be an upper respiratory issue that I had asked for and $4,000.00 and multiple tests later received. I mention this for a couple of reasons. When we first moved we had an older cat and brand new kitten, if fact we picked up the kitten the day before we drove across the country. We knew we need a health check and tried a clinic close to our hotel that when we called they told us to come in. 10 minutes later we were in the lobby and they sent us away, telling us we should probably go to Gentle Touch. We met Dr. Tasky, who almost insists we call her Missy, and she checked out the kitten and the old lady. What we didn't know was that the older cat had kidney issues that had affected her personality and total health and we would have to give her fluids every day for the rest of her life. Being that I am a retired EMT and ran a per store for 18 years we all felt comfortable that I would do treatments at home. Dr. Tasky approved of offering us the military discounts based on my service and even without it our bills were less than what we would have paid in Los Angeles with far more attentive staff when we had questions or had to order more supplies. Between the in-clinic care and my efforts at home, she lived months longer than we had a right to expect! Since then we have added 2 new kittens and a 5 year old retired show cat (that happens to be the other kitten's grandmother). All of the staff knows our names, the names of each cat, and fawns over them whenever we come in. Dr. Tasky has referred us to 2 different specialty clinics that have been amazing about handling the causes for referrals and these clinics, these specialty clinics, have been no more than visiting Gentle Touch...in other words very reasonable. We have had appointments with 3 different vets at Gentle Touch and found continuity of care to be almost seamless. We trust Gentle Touch with our kids and refer everyone that we come in contact with to the clinic. They are knowledgeable, patient in explaining treatments and medications, open to suggestions about nutrition and other topics. When it comes time for us to move from our current residence, distance to Gentle Touch will clearly be a factor.

I would really recommend gentle touch animal hospital! The staff was extremely friendly and informative. The whole building was so clean and very well decorated!! The prices weren't too bad, they have little TV's in the rooms that tell you cat and dog facts and feature pictures of all the animals up on the TV that go there. They also gave us a pet insurance package/welcome package which we've been meaning to look into that. Overall the vet tech Adam and our vetrinarian Anna (I think that was her name) were so welcoming and informative in getting our rescue kitty checked out. Definitely going to bring my all my cats to this location for trusted care. I have never fallen in love with a vetrinarian clinic before but I am truly in love with this one.

I absolutely love this veterinary hospital! I have been going to this vet hospital for years now. We first found them while living in Aurora. Three years ago we moved to Castle Rock, but we still drive an hour one way to see them because of their caring and compassionate ways. Dr Missy Taskey has really taken this entire business and made it very personal and loving. Here are some of the little things that go so far and mean so much... We recently had to say goodbye to our fur baby, kitty of 18 yrs named Zorro. They provided us a private room where we can spend as much time with Zorro before letting him cross to the Rainbow Bridge. They had a little picture frame with his name on it for us already in the room. They asked if we wanted ashes back and provided us with a choice of 6 different complimentary urns. When Zorro was gone they gently picked him up with such love and care. A few days later a sympathy card arrives to our home where it is signed by the entire staff. A few days after that another card is sent by the Morris Foundation. GTAH has made a donation to the foundation in honor of Zorro. These little touches are so powerful and mean the world to us. The caring nuances that each one of the staff have showed my husband and I and our fur babies, is why I would drive 5 hrs to see them. I know my animals are in the best care they could ever be in. I have been going to gentle touch for 4 years. I have, to put lightly, a "difficult" cat. And the vet is the last person she would ever want to see. I recently moved to Lakewood for work.I wanted to find a new vet closer to me to get her annual exam and shots. After MUCH thought, I didn't have the heart to bring her to a new vet. She gets stressed out easily and absolutely hates any stranger handling her. There are many vets out there that don't know how to handle "bad cats" I couldn't imagine putting my baby through all that stress. I made an appointment with Dr Algren. She is amazing! Very patient, very slow with Mila. My kitty did put up a few fights during the exam but dr Algren made things as stress free as possible. Overall, the visit went A LOT better then expected. I am so happy I came back. I wouldn't take Mila any where else! Thank you guys for everything!

My fiance and I had a positive experience with this vet in the beginning! They were kind and did well with our dog. Money was the unfortunate part for us. We scheduled her to be spayed and maybe I should have asked when we made the appointment, but it was never brought up (average) how much the bill for the procedure would be. We assumed MAX 500, which seems to be a lot now that I look around. I went to drop Chunk off and that morning was told it would be around 600 dollars for the procedure. Chunk ended up having a UTI in which I was willing to pay for the urinary test and for the antibiotics. Several other tests were suggested that I ended up passing up because they were just too expensive. With all of the tests and everything done (which I am unsure what was necessary and what wasn't as I am not the expert) it was around $763. I asked to split the payment in half only 4 days apart while offering to give them a card number to put on file to run. We were denied and told to apply for a specific credit card as our only option. Additionally, I asked for flea and tick medicine and it would have been 80 dollars added onto everything else. From my research I have found much cheaper options elsewhere for many of the services, medicine, etc. that was discussed or administered. While the service and people are kind, we are switching to another provider due to the lack of forewarning on the cost of the services needed. I would have switched providers before the date of the procedure if I would have been aware of how expensive Gentle Touch is, and the unwillingness to work with us on such a large bill. In all, take your pets here for minor services as they do very well. Or if you want to take them for larger, just ask ahead of time about the price break down as you will only be handed this RIGHT before your pet goes back. They are clean, professional, manage conflict well, and have good customer service!

I have been taking my animal family to Gentle Touch Animal Hospital since the facility opened. I loved that there was finally an animal hospital in my neighborhood. This hospital is extremely clean. The owner, Dr. Tasky, uses the most modern equipment available. When they had open house, we got to tour the entire hospital and everything in the hospital was spotless. The staff is wonderful. Whenever, we walk in the door, the staff immediately greets each of my animals by name. Whenever one of the animals has a procedure, I always get a follow up call from Dr. Tasky or one of the staff....without fail. I always have the animals see Dr. Tasky who is extremely knowledgeable and able to explain everything that is going on in a non technical way. Right now, I have a cat with some chronic, serious conditions. Dr. Tasky was able to arrange for a cardiologist vet and an ultra sound vet to come right to the clinic to do the testing. Saved me from having to drive all over town to see vet specialists. Vet care is not cheap when you have sick animals however when I know they are getting such quality care, my animals are worth every penny. Of all the vet clinics I have used over the years, Gentle Touch is the BEST!

I called to schedule my puppy Jax's first Vet visit here because they offered a free exam for adopting him from the shelter. The receptionist was extremely polite and friendly while scheduling the appoinment and what really got me was Dr. Alberg called me within the hour to introduce herself and see if I had any questions before the appointment. I mean who does that!? My doctor doesn't even do that. I was very impressed and we hadn't even been to the office yet. I read some reviews online and they got me a little nervous because there were more negative ones especially concerning the price than there were positive but nevertheless I still took Jax because of my first impression over the phone. I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews deter me from going! They were so polite from beginning to end. After taking us to the room the nurse took Jax around the office to meet everyone which was awesome! I asked about 1,000 questions and she was super happy to answer all of them and didn't make me feel dumb for asking what may have been common sense questions. Dr. Alberg was nothing less than Amazing!! I hope that Jax gets to see her every time we visit because he loved her! All of the staff that interacted with Jax got down on the floor with him and gave him treats to make him more comfortable in what would normally be a scary environment. They never once pushed any unnecessary products or treatments just to make an extra buck. I HIGHLY recommend this veterinary office for your pet!!! I can't wait to take him back for puppy socialization time!

We took our Calico Kitty here yesterday, and since it was our first time there we were very impressed. Momo, our kitty got her exam and vaccinations. Everyone was very thorough in explaining everything. Momo was a trooper, she enjoyed everything. I liked the fact that they had cat trees right there in the exam room. We adopted a 10+ year old coon hound, Duke, last year and along with bunches of love and a tail that could clear a table, he came complete with big ol' lipoma (fatty tumor) on his side. Gentle Touch tested it and while they likely ruled out cancer, they recommended we get it removed ASAP to prevent it from getting cut/caught on something. Of course, as terrible pet parents, we waited. Of course, as smart, experienced veterinarians, Gentle Touch was right on the money and it ended up blistering open months later. Huge bloody mess, scary for our daughters who love him to death, and not the most financially opportune time. But, Dr. Taskey and the whole team got him taken care of right away. He has been doing amazing ever since, and the entire experience with Gentle Touch from the first 7AM phone call to the discharge and everything in between was as good as we could hope for.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for Dr. Dobkin. My sweet dog was very sick for a couple of days, and thanks to Dr. Dobkin, Wolfy is now on the road to recovery. After multiple tests, we found out that Wolfy had swallowed a toy that was stuck in his intestine. The skills and expertise of Dr. Dobkin allowed him to make an immediate diagnosis that Wolfy needed to be operated on immediately. During his stay at the hospital, Wolfy received the most attentive and professional care despite his grumpy temperament. Dr. Dobkin was extremely patient and empathetic to my worries, and kept me up to date throughout the whole process.
