Dr. Howell was very attentive and thorough with Hank’s needs. He went as far as reading Hank’s history before his assessment and extended himself to educate me on how to monitor for another condition unrelated to my appointment. We typically see Dr. Katz, but she didn’t have same day availability. We were fortunate to land in such great hands on short notice! Thank you Dr. Howell!!

My dog got limped tail. I was so worried and couldn't get him in for a sooner appointment with my regular vet. I called this place to see if they have sooner appointments, the front desk lady picked up immediately and they told me I could just take him the same day for an urgent care visit (was only about $30 more than regular visits). I took my dog in around 7:00pm. The service was great, we were friendly greeted by everyone there. Even after hours (their urgent care hours), they seem to have many staff working there. We didn't wait long in the waiting area and the vet doctor came to us soon after we turned in our paperwork in the patient room. The vet doctor Karen was super attentive, knowledgeable and professional. She assessed my dog's injury and didn't think he needed an X-ray, which saved us about $400, and suggested that if his condition isn't getting better in a week or so come back for an X-ray then. She prescribed him some medication for us to take home. She answered all of our questions and everyone worked there were very helpful. The price is pretty fair for an urgent care visit. I might considering coming back here for my dog's regular check ups. I would highly recommend this facility.

This is the best animal hospital! Everybody is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We've taken both our dogs to Evans East, who have very different temperaments, and the staff was/is wonderful with both. Our first dog, who we had to put down a couple years ago, was not the easiest patient. The staff was extremely patient and warm with him nonetheless. They never seemed flustered by his temperament.

Awesome care at the last minute!! Last night I arrived with my dog who needed some stitches right before closing. They assessed his needs and took him right back, stitch him up, gave lots of love, and out the door we went in less than 30 minutes. The staff was so kind and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place!

We adopted our first cat in February, and working with Evans East Animal Hospital and Denver Cat Hospital has made us feel significantly more confident! I called with a concern about our kitty's eye, and they had a normal (non-urgent) appointment open the very next day. Between the two locations you're bound to be able to get in quick. Both the tech and vet were so good with our cat, they even called a few days later to follow-up on her care. When I texted to ask to have a copy of the invoice emailed to me, I had it within 10 minutes. I wish my doctor's office was this efficient!

These people have been absolutely amazing! I have an Aussie Shepard that has had tummy issues since she was a puppy (now 4 years old) I had seen countless vets, tried countless medications and nothing ever worked. I brought her here 1 time and they were able to figure out and treat the issues my baby was having. They are all so amazingly sweet and you can tell how much they care for all the patients that walk through their doors.

I only have amazing things to say about Evans East Animal Hospital, Drs. Cole and Christ, the exceptional front desk, technicians, and support staff. They provided excellent care for our dog since we had moved to this side of the city a few years ago. Everything from routine care, urgent care, and the treatment and monitoring of his chronic conditions. I will always deeply appreciate their empathy and kindness when things got difficult towards the end of my dog’s beautiful life and in the time afterwards making sure we were okay. If and when we’re able to welcome another companion, we’ll return here for their care.

Dr. Trainor is awesome! She helped alot with my cat who was sick for about 6 weeks! She was really thorough with the treatment plan, medications, and checking in on her recovery at home. Really liked this vet office. Very attentive. Explained diagnosis and procedure thoroughly. My cat had abcess on her neck. They sedated her, cleaned abcess gave an antibiotic for very reasonable price. Thank you Evans East Animal Hospital.!!!

Very polite, helpful and professional especially with having to deal with me freaking out about my dog in pain. My dog broke his toe nail in half and I was freaking out more than he was. Covid protocols made me nervous with curbside dropoff and that I was not going to be able to go in with him. The staff reassured me they would be in contact with me quickly and helped me feel more comfortable when they took him in. The Doctor called me shortly after and let me know all was well and my dog was ok and ready to go home. He came out with a big smile and a bandaged up paw but I could tell they took very good care of him.

I highly recommend Dr. Gao, who is excellent, patient with rowdy puppies, and takes the time to answer questions. Vet techs here are also friendly and willing to engage with my puppy in a friendlier way than another vet clinic I visited, where the vet and techs were standoffish. Also, I recently discovered that they sometimes have preventative flea/tick and heartworm monthlies for cheaper than you can get them from Chewy.

I brought our new cat Norman in for a check up the veterinarian Jennifer was great and the staff seemed nice. The 2 girls who came in before her were also very friendly. If we didnt already have a vet closer i would switch because I really liked Jennifer and she was super helpful saving me time and giving me info on my cat i didnt know as far as actual age and unneeded shots since he was older then we thought. We were sent here by rocky mountain feline for his free checkup. He's super fat now and happy. If we need boarding they are opening the plave across the street just for cats and they board animals that might have special needs. I asked about my cat with pancretitis we left for 3 days but i had a friend stay at the house who used to be a vet assistant. But anytime i do need boarding or any emergency after hours care, this will be my place for sure.

Amazing people work here! I found a dog on the side of the road and took it on at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. They gave him fresh water, gave us a leash to use and checked his microchip at no cost. We were ultimately able to reunite him with his mom! :) You can tell that the staff here really care about animals and people. I am not one of their clients, but they still took time out of their day to help us return the lost dog to his family.

I’ve used Evans East Animal Hospital a few times for vaccines, but yesterday was a definite emergent situation. My very large “Diva” swallowed what she should not have and got an obstruction. I can honestly say I would trust this team with my own life after seeing the care they gave my girl! Dr. Gina Rodriguez went ABOVE & BEYOND to be sure my baby was coming back home! I can never thank her or her team of technicians enough! (Thank you all for helping the doctor make this happen!!!) It’s a scary thought what could be if it was not for them. They treated Diva as their own and that alone speaks volumes!!!

We've had a wonderful experience with Evans East Animal Hospital. It started out when we needed an after hour very for an emergency with one of our pets. We've transitioned all of our cats (5) and dogs (3) off of Banfield wellness plans and started going here exclusively. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and rates are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Not a bad spot to bring your dog. I was charged 500ish to bring my dog in for a neuter. That includes blood tests etc. The techs there were nice and welcoming. Some times the techs were trying to sell me things I was not there to do. That's pretty annoying when I'm there for one simple purpose. Please consider people's budget and be upfront about costs. I had to ask for a real cost estimate, it wasn't offered. The first time I went in, the vet spoke to me personally. The next couple times, I was waiting in the lobby. I would have loved to know the weight of my dog and general health information, without having to pry a tech to look it up, only to find out it wasn't recorded. Overall, it's not bad at all. Just do your research and ask them for an estimate of the cost for ANYTHING. Don't be surprised when they ask you to swipe your card.

Today I lost my baby bean boy, he was my first pet on my own and since I moved to Colorado. I got my hamster before the pandemic and we were best friends ever since. I called an hour before they closed and I never got her name but she was so sweet and understanding. I knew my baby was gone but she still checked to make sure he wasn’t hibernating and I wasn’t about to murder him. She was honestly the best and I felt so much better leaving philbert in her hands. Thank you so much for taking me in at such a late hour, my friends where telling me to throw him away or flush him but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Again it really made me feel a lot better knowing my baby was in great care and I know he’ll rest easy until we meet again.

Our Doberman had a severe cough and excessive mucus coming out of his nose. We called many Veterinarians to no avail, but Evans East provided us with a same day appointment and gave us the treatment we needed. Great service and Greatly appreciated!

These guys took care of my cat's semi-serious issue during the evening without an appointment, within about 3 hours, even though his issue wasn't a true emergency. He was in pain and needed attention though. They saw him, diagnosed him, and treated him all in the same evening, bringing him much needed relief. They were informative and kind. Price was fair for an emergency appointment.

I have the best vet. My cat had/still has swollen ankles and elbows for 3 months now. He was diagnosed with arthritis. Not only did our vet come up with the best way to help him but also helped us be able to afford his now forever treatment. He is on steroids and pill pockets are amazing! His swelling when from hard golf ball size to small swelling but can now touch his joint bones again. He is still on his meds to get it down. But I am so happy I went to this clinic. My vet really cares about my cat and will call every couple of weeks to see how he is doing. I love that she listens to me and my concerns. She doesnt think I am just a crazy cat lady. Highly recommend this place.

My dog, Leila, injured her leg playing with her sister. Her regular vet couldn't see her, so we called Evans East animal hospital and they squeezed her right in. The Dr gave Leila excellent care and made sure my husband and I knew what was going on the whole time. I was worried about the cost of an emergency vet visit, but the bill was very reasonable. Very helpful.. My dog had a upset stomach & was vomiting. The after hours staff were professional and friendly. They gave my dog everything he needed to feel better. It took my dog a few days to get back to normal. But the getting sick & not being able to make it outside stopped that night. The Dr. was so friendly & professional. I called because I thought my dog might be having seizures. They were honest and said they couldn’t treat her there and recommended a two different animal hospitals. I really appreciate the honesty and the recommendations. I was able to take her to one of those and they were great. The other emergency vet she had already been seen at twice that week would not tell me what diagnostic tools they had for seizures and also didn’t let me know if they had a neurologist available, so it would have been a waste of precious time and money. We did not get treated at Evans, but their customer service for that phone call was really great. Thank you!

I've been going here with my dog since I moved to Colorado. 3 years. For routine check ups and vaccines I feel like they are reasonably priced, attentive and thorough. My dog is fear aggressive so I take her in muzzled and she hates being at the vet. They are quite efficient and usually have me in and out pretty quickly. I cannot speak to anything other than yearly check ups and exams. So far I am happy with my experience there.

Amazing vet! I brought my almost 2 year old cat Miso in today for a dental cleaning and had such a great experience! Super reasonably priced & cost much less than I was expecting. The communication from the staff before and after her cleaning was amazing, I had lots of questions & they made sure to explain everything and keep me updated. I was nervous to leave her there all day, but the staff was so sweet and kind & let me know that Miso was getting lots of cuddles and love after her procedure(: They truly took such great care of her! Dr. Kristan Evans and her team did an amazing job with my tiny 8 week old German Shepherd. She got super sick and dr. My sweet puppy has a lot of medical needs, he could really have his own medical mystery show, but Evans East provides amazing care and keeps up with his intense needs! We have been coming here since we adopted our English Bulldog since this is where his previous owners brought him, I loved it here, they took care of his regular needs and did an amazing job with an ACL tear. We missed about 30+ min away and switched vets but after our dog started having major medical problems we switched back because it's more affordable and I love the care they provide. I feel like the vets here treat my dog as they would their own dogs. They caught a rare and serious disease before he even had visible symptoms because they were so thorough after seeing an abnormality in his blood work, which I fully believe had extended my dogs life considerably. We've been on a terrible journey dealing with unbelievably difficult problems with our dog but the vets at Evans East have made it easier and helped immensely. I can't say enough good things about Evans East!! We also recently used their boarding facility and it was great and affordable!

I would like to thank the team at Evans East for their superb care for my dog and for myself. I had been at another animal hospital that was closer to home, and left after several hours after seeing other animals triaged around us and ultimately they forgot about us. I left and went to Evans East. After a second work up it was revealed my dog was very ill and in organ failure. I made the devastating decision to have my dog put to sleep. We had a long dog life together for which I’m most grateful. Dr. Farmer, Levi and the rest of the team were just the most sensitive and caring people, which I desperately needed at the time. Firstly we love the doctors here especially Dr Kuball! But please know that if you need medication this hospital is insanely expensive-ten pills for my pups upset tummy was $29.00 -$8.00 at my friends Vet and $ 3.40 at pets meds on line. Why does this place feel the need to take advantage of us ?? Simple greed - makes me so sad!

Long overdue review. I moved to CO in January of last year, few months after my cat had an accident so I had to find a vet. I did not want to take him just anywhere so did my research and found this place. They gave my kitty such good treatment, he had to go multiple times and every time they were always so pleasant and friendly. I've had interactions wth quite a few of their staff members and never have had an unpleasant experience. Got my puppy later that august and of course took him and he has also had all positive visits here. All the doctors both my pets have seen have been very thorough and really treat my pets as if they were theirs. I HIGHLY recommend and rave about them to anyone who asks me what vet I take them to.

The staff and doctors here were amazing! When I called and explained what had happened with my regular vet, the were so understanding and sympathetic. My daughter and I spent 3 hours looking for a vet to take him and continue the treatment that my previous vet couldn't. We drove half way across town to come here and will continue to do so with my remaining dog since my previous vet led me astray with his diagnosis. By the time the urgent care could get to my baby they had already been closed for about an hour. During our wait time we did witness people trying to get there dog in for an emergency but had to be turned down due to way past closing time. Sad but understanding. Anyway, we sat in the car waiting but they took Sparky in and kept him warm, comfortable and stable. When I finally got the call from Dr. Farmer, she was awesome! She spent as much time as necessary to explain everything going on with Sparky. She explained even more information about his blood work than his regular vet did. She continued to ask me if I had anymore questions and even before we let him go, she asked about questions to make sure we were ok. At this point we had been there several hours after closing and they never pushed us or rushed us to get out the door. We still had all the time we needed without ever feeling like an inconvenience, a problem or in the way. Nothing was rushed and everything was a choice. I felt confident in her explanation and further diagnosis that I don't feel like a guilty jerk for not having more money to keep trying. He was 15 years old and I had him for most of his life, he was so loved and will always be in our hearts.

Evans East took great care of my baby. I took my dog in for urgent care for a UTI because there was blood in her urine. While They were not able to get her in for a regular appointment, the urgent care option was not terrible price wise. They were very thorough and provided me with preventative information as well as treating the current issue. I love that they provided me with a print out explaining why she keeps getting these infections. Staff was very sweet and I knew my baby was in good hands even though I couldnt go in with her. I think this might be my new primary care for my critters!

I have been bringing my animals to this vet for 2 years now. They treat every animal with respect and compassion. I have a very skiddish cat and they help her feel at home doing everything they can to make the experience a calm and caring one. When we were forced to put down our elderly dog last year, they let us take the time we needed to say goodbye and never rushed us to free up the room. If I could give them more stars, I would. I recommend this vet over any others in the area!

My dog, sadly, passed away, and I was so lost on where to take him or what to do. I called Evans East Animal hospital because it was the only place by me that was open. It was my first time going here, and they were beyond helpful and compassionate. They let me take my dog and were patient through every moment. About a week later, we received in the mail a card from them expressing their sincere condolences, and it was incredibly thoughtful. They went above and beyond, and I am so grateful for that. Losing a pet is not easy, but they made it easier to get by.

I am so please with my experience here. We went here for the first time today. They have good prices and don't try to push anything on you. Dr Casey really broke things down for me that our other Vet did not. We had gone to Goldsmith before and I was highly dissatisfied. Dr Casey really seemed to care and understand the balance of budget and care. My friend has a diabetic cat that needs shots once a week and highly recommended this place. I mentioned her cat and they knew exactly who I was talking about. I love that they get to know the animals that come in. My cat has asthma and I am grateful they explained more options for her. You even get to pay in the room at the end which I feel is less stress on the animal and I extremely appreciate! Thank you Evans East!

I'm sure this is a great place in general. I was happy with the care once I got it. However there was a critical case and I had to wait in the car, in 90° + heat for over 2 hrs. Maybe if there is a particularly critical case another vet should be called in to take care of the other patients.

My dog had a large abscess under her chin that appeared very suddenly last night. East Evans was able to see me right away. They diagnosed and treated her in less than an hour. The vet and technician were both very kind. The vet explained everything I needed to know, and how to care for her when I brought her home. My normal vet wasn't going to be able to see her for over a week, so I am extremely happy to have found a new vet so close to home that I can move my pets care to.

I am incredibly impressed by the safety measures put in place as a result of Covid. These guys are doing it right! Not only that, but the vet and whole staff are so professional and polite. Flexible, comforting, accommodating, cheerful, reliable and safe are just a few descriptors that come to mind about my recent day boarding experience for my dog. I did experience some challenges with getting connected to boarding even though I dialed the boarding # listed on the signage in the parking lot. I would, however, recommend Evans East Boarding Services. Overall pleasant experience.

The staff at Evans East took care of my chocolate lab for 12 years, then my three black pugs for another 14 years. Their experienced clinicians are friendly, easy to work with, unfailingly kind, always helpful. I was glad when they added the evening emergency clinic, since they had access to my dogs medical records. There was rarely any wait time for evening appointments, and prices were more reasonable than local animal hospitals. I have referred many friends to Evans East over the years; my friends have always been happy with the care. They are not owned by a large corporation; they are always staffed to provide safe care. This is a good place to take your fur babies!

My Westie recently got very sick on Father's Day Sunday but that was no match for the Evans East Animal Hospital Staff. They were as kind, loving, and caring to my pup as I would have been. The doctor even sat down on the floor next to my fur baby to be on her level while examining her to maximize her comfort in her time of need. They told me there would be a slight wait as they were quiet busy but we ultimately did not have to wait more than 2 minutes! It was amazing how quickly they were able to get us in and efficiently start resolving our issues. The Doctor kindly and patiently went through the recommended items she wished to address as well as, the cost associated to each line item so we could carefully craft a plan of action together. The end result left me with a very happy, much healthier pup as well as, a pock book that remained intact. The staff here truly turned an awful experience into a great one with a happy outcome! I could not be more pleased with the knowledgeable staff, quality of efficient service, clean attractive venue, attentive care, and fair prices!!!!! If your pet is ever in need of regular or emergency care this is hands down the absolute best place to go :)

She was calm and prescribed medication to alleviate symptoms as well as did a test to double-check another area. Fortunately oh, there weren't any problems there. Emma is back to normal! In the past 5 months I've had two terrible events with a two of my cats, both of which resulted in euthanasia. This is not a pleasant topic, but... ALL the vets at Evans East are so wonderful, caring, kind, empathetic. They helped me immensely, emotionally too. They sent personalized sympathy cards! I still need to go there periodically with my other cats, and I never even consider taking them to a different place. I cannot begin to describe the level of compassion and love this staff has! Last night 8/16/2020 around 730 pm my boyfriend and I brought our 5 year old Alaskan malamute, Niko in because his paw pads on both hind legs blistered and had torn from a strenuous hike we did the day before. I had called 3 or 4 emergency vets and they all had a 4-5 hour wait and our regular vet closed. Niko was in so much pain he couldn't even get up or walk to go to the bathroom. When I called Evans East the sweet woman on the phone said they'd be able to see us right away! They were transparent about pricing before we even arrived (at this point cost didn't even matter, we just wanted to get our boy feeling better and as comfortable as possible). When we arrived the two techs that came out with the gurney were so incredibly sweet and Niko was so excited to see them! We were under the impression they'd have to sedate him since he snarled at me when I tried bandaging him up earlier in the day. One of the techs/nurses came out a while later and let us know Niko did amazing and didn't need a sedative. Dr. Christ and the staff working last night were so good with Niko and we cannot thank you guys enough! Niko was walking as soon as he was patched up and it was such a huge relief. To Dr. Christ and the staff working last night, we areeare grateful for you all taking such good care of Niko!! Such a sweet and amazing staff!!

I came here on Super Bowl Sunday because my boy Charlie had injured his dewclaws and I wanted to get him proper care and a cone of shame to stop the licking. The vet, I think his name was Josh, if I got that wrong I am sorry bro. He came out to the lot, treated it on the spot, and suggested triple antibiotic and my dog was good to go in a few days. My cat need some urgent care today (Sunday). The last thing I wanted to do was take him to the other emergency animal hospital on the east side, as I knew I would walk out of there with my pockets hanging inside out. I was so happy to see that Evans East now offers after hours urgent care. I did have to wait on hold for over 15 minutes, which started to give me a bad impression, but after speaking with the tech, I felt much better and raced over there. I can't say enough about how well my cat and I were treated by the staff. There was virtually no wait and everyone was so kind. Dr. Shilling was wonderful and used a well thought out approach on treating my kitty, instead of just throwing every test under the sun at us. We decided to do x-rays and I was told it would be a little bit as 2 other animals were also waiting. They told me I could leave and they would call me as soon as the x-rays were finished. A little over an hour later I received the call and went to pick him up. We were checked out immediately, with a bill that I thought was more than reasonable considering it was an urgent care visit and x-rays and medication were involved. 2 hours after getting home, I received a message that the radiologist had already looked at the x-rays. I was soo impressed with how professional everyone was and how quickly we got the results. That never happens at our normal vet. If this office was closer to my home I would definitely start bringing all of our animals here (in fact I might still do it).

We take all of our dogs here and love it! One of our dogs was having weight gain and lethargy issues, and we decided to switch her to Evans East when we couldn't get her into her normal vet. While our old vet told us that the weight gain was a diet/exercise issue and left it at that, Evans East asked a series of questions and then suggested we do a thyroid test. A few days later and she was on medication for hypothyroidism. In the past month we've seen a marked improvement in her, and she's back to her usual, excited self. They're always able to fit us in for emergencies or semi-urgent visits, and always do a good job in keeping us updating on our dogs/answering questions that we have during our check ups.

We came in last minute because our dog was having a reaction to a medication that another vet prescribed. They took us back quickly and heard all of our concerns and took us seriously, which is something our first vet didn’t do, why we were in this situation to begin with and even though we didn’t know exactly what kind of reaction she was having they made a plan and tried several things. Every staff member we encountered was so sweet and concerned about our dog. We even called before and talked through the symptoms to see if we should bring her. They sent us home quick with meds and great care instructions. Our girl is finally feeling better! And thank god for Evans East having amazing hours! Thanks a million!

I have been a fan of Evans East Animal Hospital since my first visit almost 30 years ago. The support staff is very caring and helpful, and most of them have been there for a very long time, which says a lot to me. The doctors are very knowledgeable and thorough, and what I appreciate most is they always start out with the least invasive and least expensive tests and treatments. I truly believe that their main concern is the well being of their clients’ pets. I also find it comforting that they offer an after-hours emergency service, which they've recently expanded. We had to bring our Great Dane in to Urgent Care at the end of the night as she suddenly developed acute pain in her rear hip and could not walk. I called and spoke with Karen who was calm, supportive and professional and let me know they would meet us outside if we needed assistance . Even though they were near closing and our visit likely meant everyone needed to stay on the clock longer the entire staff was amazing. Doctor Farmer ended up examining her around 11 at night after what I am sure was a long day and was still very patient, answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. The bill was much less than we expected for such comprehensive and compassionate treatment especially in an after hours setting. We are very grateful.

Great vet. We take both our boys here (puppy and kitten), and they love Dr. Ackley as much as one can love someone who gives you shots. They give out these fantastic welcome bags your first visit, and they answer simple medical questions on the phone if your puppy happens to be barfing or whatever. It's a great place, and even though we moved to a new apartment and it isn't the closest vet for us anymore, we're willing to commute to continue with this vet.

This review has been edited from 5 stars to 3 stars due to lack of the vet caring. We took our cat here as he had fluid in his lungs. They were able to pull the fluid out, and they found it was chylothorax which in some cats is completely curable (I was told by another vet at another animal hospital). While at the appointment with my cat before ANY tests had even been made, Dr. Canning blurts out that we should probably think about euthanasia. She mentioned this to us not once, but twice in the SAME VISIT. You would think a cat person like herself (as her information states on the website) would want to save the cat instead of the opposite. On top of this, our cat seems fine now and has a normal breath count, however has a very small cough. When calling her to ask about it, she then revisits the idea of euthanasia. We are now going to another veterinary hospital as we do not trust this information given and are needing a second opinion. If you are going to bring up euthanasia, please have some compassion for the person you're speaking with as it seemed you had no emotion at all and didn't care. Maybe use a softer term like "put down" as euthanasia is a very harsh word to throw at someone who may lose a furry family member. Other than this instance, they are pricey but they do a good job.

In my endeavor to find my canine a veterinarian not associated with a local “big box” franchise organization, I elected to try the Evans East Animal Hospital. They are nearby; have a long established private practice; and a reputation for good will and service. The recent decision on my part to move permanently to Evans East (after careful scrutiny) required they re-write all prescriptions under the authority of their Vet. I was particularly pleased they understood my desire to use low cost medications where I could. Carefully matching generic type medications with the earlier prescribed “brand names”, they did just that. They can be sure I’ll use the savings on the Vet and laboratory services. Dr. Porter is going to be just fine! You will discover Evans East Animal Hospital to be a good alternative to the larger local franchises. #2 I believe the recent dental work on my eleven year old Dachshund was superior to that of three years ago with another well known veterinary hospital . . . and it was less expensive too! Evans East Animal Hospital is a busy place and perhaps the service is a bit perfunctory, but there is a reason, they provide quality and value. Dr. Porter is my vet and I recommend her to you.

My 8 year old golden retriever wasn’t moving all of a sudden and was acting very lethargic. I called Evans East because they were the only vet open. Spoke to Yeshy on the phone and she said to bring him in right away. When we arrived, she had a stretcher out ready for him and she had already spoken to the doctor about what was going on. Thankfully the moment we arrived my pup was back to normal and didn’t need the stretcher. They still took him anyway just to be sure and doctor Rachel was amazing. We could tell she really cared and that makes a difference. Everything ended up being ok in the end but the experience made me want to switch clinics because of how pleasant they were. I recommend to anyone!

I took my chihuahua here during urgent care hours after he was bitten by another dog on his little face (our regular vet was closed, but they recommended East Evans). The staff took amazing care of him and assured me that he would be ok. The bill was very reasonable for everything he had (stitches, pain medicine, general anesthesia, and stitch removal 2 weeks later). Unfortunately I had to make two trips with my pup in one week, but I must say, it was the most amazing experience I have ever had at a vet/animal hospital. From the front office staff to the techs and doctors, everyone was kind and caring. Evans East is improving and expanding (across the street immediately east of the car wash). This review is as of Fall 2017 and they are moving December 2017 - so look for changes on here. I've been to Evans East now 3-4 times and generally I'd say my experiences are improving. Unfortunately I have had to put two cats to sleep here and both times they were very compassionate. More recently I had an after hours (8:00PM) emergency with my dog and they were wonderful to me. The cost was a LITTLE more expensive than during the day but still fair. They had at least two techs on hand at that time of night and one excellent vet. They are open for emergencies until 10:00. VRCC off of Hampden is open 24 hours (They are good - but they are expensive because they will run every single test they think MIGHT be necessary there). Evans East doesn't have a hospital's worth of equipment but they were able to get my dog stable and feeling better. They also take care of customers who can be upset from seeing their pet's upset/in pain. This is an important part of being a good vet. We have 5 animals and will be taking our animals there more often . I won't include pictures or review of access until they are into their new facility in a few weeks. I'll edit this review later to update.

I recently got my 8 month old puppy neutered from a clinic that the shelter had recommended and shortly after my pup got a pretty serious infection, he was horribly swollen and eventually started bleeding and pussing on our walk one day. I was traveling across country for work with my two dogs and decided last minute to board them while we took a break in Denver. But found out too late Their DHPP vaccines were expired. I immediately began calling vets...at 2 PM I called Evans East frantically in the hopes they could accommodate us. Their staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. They got us a same day appointment at ridiculously short notice and literally saved the day. Our vet, Dr. Higgins, and technician (Kathleen, I think) were completely amazing. If I was moving to Denver instead of Georgia this would be our vet office no questions asked!

We started using Evans East a couple of years ago. Their prices are reasonable; I called and checked a number of vet clinics in the area and they compare quite nicely and fairly for routine charges as well as testing, grooming ,etc. All of the doctors and staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, either over the phone or when we're actually at the clinic/hospital. Every time my cat has had a procedure (teeth cleaning, urine aspiration with a needle, xrays, etc), someone from Evans East calls me the next day to see how she is doing. The facility is very clean and has ample parking. My son has had a number of urgent care visits with both of his Black Labs, as well as some regular checkups & "normal" visits there. I know that he, also, is pleased with the treatment and healing of his animals, as well as the urgent treatment they were able to give each of the dogs when they were injured, or ingested something they shouldn't have. I'm totally happy with the group at Evans East: the front desk staff, technicians, vets and Cherie, my kitty's groomer. :) :)

We just got a puppy in April and Evans East was recommended to us by two neighbors who have dogs. We have had routine visits as well as one emergency and one scheduled after hours visit. In particular, our after hours visit on Labor Day weekend was exceptional. The Dr. fully explained why our puppy was sick and offered a quick solution as well as obtaining materials for further laboratory research. She personally called back as soon as they got the lab results and diagnosed our puppy with an additional problem and had an immediate course of action we could take. Even though there are many vets closer to my home, I make the drive to Evans East because of their amazing service. They always have room for my cat when I need to board her. The boarding staff are very friendly and seem to really enjoy spending time with my cat while she stays there. I moved to CO from NH and naturally found care for my pet before myself. My initial appointment was super easy, I used the online portal and requested an appointment and was contacted by a represented within 24 hours to confirm it. My most recent experience was just as great. I went in to get my pet vaccinated for doggy daycare and I had some concerns about skin inflammation on her leg. The staff there squeezed in extra tests and evaluations and prescribed meds on the spot to provide some relief to my fur baby at the point of care. Additionally, the doctor followed up to check in and see how she was doing. (: Overall decent prices, great care, awesome availability... the only gripe is the waiting room can get kind of hectic at times.

Had to take my senior Chow in for an urgent care situation, and the vet on duty was Dr. Lipkin. She was terrific in all the ways a vet needs to be good: knowledgeable, caring, good communicator, honest, and not trying to run up the bill. She even called later several times to follow up. We have stayed with her and she has not disappointed. In a separate episode, it looked like the dog might have GDV (`stomach bloat'), a life-threatening condition, and she handled it like the emergency it was, took great X-rays on the spot, and did all the back-office work to get us to an emergency clinic that could start work stat. We were lucky that the surgery saved the dog. The staff at the desk and the technicians have been great as well.

The absolute best Vet experience ever even despite the emergency situation. My poor furbaby caught his paw in the fence and this broke away his nail. It bled forever. We took him in to this vet for their after hours care. The entire staff was so compassionate and caring to my little guy. He ended up needing to have his nail removed surgically and under sedation. I was a lot more scared then he was. He seemed amazingly comfortable with the Vet and her staff. I had to leave him their fora couple hours but was still able to pick him up that night. I can't tell you how nervous I was for an after hours Vet surgical procedure I was thinking ok there goes the mortgage payment this month. I was preparing for draining my account but when I got the bill it wasn't even 1/4th of what I feared. The compassion and affordability on top of excellence were far beyond my expectations. This Animal Hospital is obviously in the business because they truly care about our animals🐶

These folks are amazing. They have kept our three mutts healthy and they even like going to the vet! We really like Dr Ackley she is super friendly and very dedicated. The team here has come through with flying colors helping us with our 'middle aged' dog who was diagnosed with diabetes. My family used Evans East when I was a kid and loved Dr. Kromka, so I was delighted to hear after moving back to this neighborhood that he was still working! The Doctors are wonderful, especially Dr. Lipkin and Dr. Schilling! Both take their time with me in answering my many questions and are wonderful with my dog who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The Vet Technicians are wonderful as well and you can tell they truly care for the animals they treat. Holly whom works the Desk is phenomenal and very helpful!! The only reason I did not give this review the full 5 stars is because I have had a few incidences with some of the receptionist staff where I found them to be rude and was treated as if I were a burden rather than a customer seeking help for their sick pet. I want to stress that this is not everyone who has been at the front desk but just a couple of people. Overall though, I would highly recommend Evans East!!

She actually was concerned and cared about my dog even after we had to take her to another clinic. Our vet we had been taking her to didn't have the time to see her that day and we knew she was not doing well and needed to be seen. Unfortunately, we had to put her down that same day. We got a new kitty in July from Dumb Friends League, and knew we wanted Evans East to be our vet for our new, furry best friend. My husband has been taking our basset hound here since before we were married, so now well over 10 years. We live all the way up in Westminster. We recently found out he has diabetes. It's not a fun disease. We've been assisted by Dr. Leigh, and her colleagues and she has been very thorough, responsive and helpful. Every one there is really friendly. They would get 5 stars but we had some issues with our glucose kit and how we were trained with it initiall, inaccurate readings even now. Maybe they should get five stars had the unit they suggested and sent us home with as the only option work better than it does. We are still having problems getting him regulated and can test two times one right after the other and get completely different results even after calibrating the thing. They were however kind enough for me to come back in without an appointment, and give me another set of strips for testing on the house, and a tutorial on how to calibrate the device (the instructions didn't have this part in it any where!) which was very helpful, but still not there yet even after 3 weeks now. We have been referred to planned pethood for offsetting some of the cost. If these guys were closer in proximity to us this whole process might have been easier too. Overall a good experience and I would highly recommend these guys.

We transitioned all of our animal care to Evans East after our prior vet failed to catch/identify/treat our cat for what could have been a very fatal kidney disease. Our cat was at his worst right before we had to leave for a wedding out of the state, Evans East team including Dr. Ackley and Dr. Lipkin did an AMAZING job at not only identifying what was wrong and caring for our cat while we were away but also Dr. Ackley called us daily to check in to let us know his status, any changes, and any additional charges for treatment to ensure that we were included in all decisions. When we returned home they helped to refer us to a good animal hospital for a needed surgery which saved our cat's life. They really went above and beyond for us and our cat during that time, and as a result we decided that they are the only vet we want to work with! Our dog has been in to see them several times as well, and they are so good at remembering us, our animals, and helping us give our animals the very best. I really feel that they care deeply about the animals they see and work to provide the best treatment that they can. They have been supportive over the phone when we've called with questions about our dog and cat. They have convenient hours for the working person, and emergency staff for those urgent situations. I definitely recommend them as a vet, I won't go anywhere else. And a special thank you to Dr. Ackley for always being so amazing, kind and thorough! (One thing to note is that with their building being on Evans the traffic on that street can make it a little tricky to get in and out of their parking lot. It's much easier to make sure that you're making a right turn into the parking lot, and take a right turn when leaving so that you aren't having to try to cut across traffic!)

Over the course of a long weekend, we were in and out of Evans East, working with two different vets, dealing with xrays, IVs and more. I will be switching to them from routine care from here on out -- they were that good. I had to have an emergency procedure done on my dog. They were fast and friendly. They got her in as soon as they could and were calm the whole time ( I was a complete mess). The doctor even called to check up three days after the surgery. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because it always seemed like they forgot to "mention" the cost of something. So what originally would of cost me $700 ended up being more around $900. But other then that the staff and service was amazing.

Brought my senior cat George here this evening. Called ahead to set an appointment. The receptionist who took my call made sure I got the regular price for the exam even though the appointment was going to be during urgent care hours. He has an eye infection and they gave me a prescription of antibiotic drops and some pain killers. The staff was super nice and friendly, and it was affordable. My cat does not go outside and is very shy to new people, they had no problem keeping his calm and doing what they needed to do to him. ***Long review but, worth it*** This place is great. My puppy had hip surgery in Fort Collins and I live in Denver (just right down the road from the clinic so that is also a plus). After surgery he needed laser therapy three times a week (amount eventually decreasing). Driving to Fort Collins three times a week or even one time a week with work is extremely difficult. They offer a great package for the laser therapy. Dr. Casey is his vet. She is absolutely amazing. She did an initial exam and after, she has called to check on him more than his surgeon has. After surgery my pup has slightly turned a bit mean... went from loving to "let me nip at you until I am sure I like you then give me food and I think about it more". While I feel embarrassed (like parents with misbehaving children) they completely understand. Most have gone out of their way each time to try to create a relationship. These people truly care. They offer a variety of services and getting an appointment is pretty easy. I would also like to add that, even though I do live right down the road, I work mids and tend to over sleep for early morning appointments. I also once got stuck at the DMV. While I do not encourage anybody to be late on purpose, they truly understand and really will do everything they possibly can to help you out. ONLY bad thing but, also good thing, is the location. Great for me because I live near by, bad for people who are not use to traffic on Evans, it is pretty bad at random times. I love my dogs more than anything and I trust them in the care of this clinic.

When it was Barkely's time to be laid-to-rest, Dr. Porter and a super sweet vet tech came to our house to and joined our family in saying good bye and put him to peace. I was nervous to drop my cat off as it was my first time boarding him. We found Evans East by accident when we thought our dog had a simple UTI. Unfortunately, her prognosis was much worse than expected, but the entire staff at Evans East was incredible. Our 2 year old Boston Terrier was feeling sick all night, laying around, didn't want to be moved, threw up around 3 in the morning, and was very weak (we suspected she had eaten something wrong). We really didn't have a Vet, had always gone to Petsmart for shots, etc. We tried to get someone at Petsmart to see us, but they had no openings, even if it was an emergency. I can't tell you how many times we had gone in, and had to wait longer because someone else had an emergency. My son had been to Evans East before, so I gave them a call. They were able to see us right away. Gave her an exam, (concluded, she had probably eaten something bad for her, it just needed to run it's course) injected some fluids under the skin (in a balloon?)to be released throughout the day to keep her hydrated. Wonderful staff, assistants, Doctor. I could not have asked for a better experience. The cost was $144, for everything. Well worth the money, for her well being, and our peace of mind.

I took my cat P.J here in 2016 for a possible UTI and met Dr. Lipkin. She is wonderful and caring. In April 2017, I took him in again and he had a kidney stone. They did surgery that day. All of the costs were explained to me upfront and he was greatly cared for. Sadly a month later due to his kidney disease he had to be put down and we once again saw Dr Lipkin. She explained to me my options as well as showed compassion for my boy by reminding me to think of his quality of life at that point as well as my personal feelings towards keeping him around. I made the choice to let him go which is was the hardest decision I ever had to make. He was my first cat and I had him for 6 years. I was able to hold him during the process and the Dr. and Vet tech both cried with me as he was such a sweet and personable cat and they got to know him the few times he was seen. Months later I adopted a new cat and went their for his free checkup and the vet tech and Dr. Lipkin immediately detected a heart murmur the shelter had missed. Sadly I took him back and the found he had an enlarged heart so I had to relinquish him back to the shelter and the same day I got a 6 month old kitten that was the image of PJ. The staff here are wonderful and Dr. Lipkin is one of the nicest and compassionate veterinarians I have ever met which is why I have switched to Evans as my pets primary vet.

They took such great care of us Dr. Lei was so wonderful with our boys and not only that she explained everything to us and answered all of our questions in detail and helped us understand what was going on with Boomer. We bought our puppy on Saturday, she was sick that night and the next morning so we brought her in to find pretty devastating news...she has Parvo. Dr. Lipkin was extremely helpful in discussing our options, telling us all of the possible outcomes for our puppy and even discussed more affordable options elsewhere. We decided to continue our treatment at Evans East because we trusted the high level of care there that was obvious from our short time dealing with them. The vet tech CJ was also extremely nice and helpful with advice for cleaning our home, monitoring our other dog and other things like that. Dr. Lipkin also helped us talk to the breeder we purchased our puppy from and we were able to get a full refund as they should have noticed and treated the Parvo before selling her to us. Since Livie (our puppy) was in the hospital for so long we got to know Dr. Farmer, Dr. Ackley, and Dr. Casey pretty well too as well as several other techs. They are all awesome! No one seemed annoyed when we called (pretty frequently) for updates and they always gave us very thorough explanations The big milestone we were working towards was to get Livie to eat on her own. She wasn't interested in baby food, soft dog food, or anything we tried to give her. The staff is so nice here that someone shared a piece of ham from her breakfast burrito and Livie ate it! I think that sparked her appetite and now, a few days later, she's eating like crazy. This was a very tough time for my girlfriend and I but the people at Evans East made it so much easier and put our nerves at ease. Livie is now at home with us finishing her antibiotics via oral medication and looks like she's going the be just fine! Thanks, Evans East, for saving her life!

Our dogs were in really rough shape. They were rescued from a home where they were heavily neglected. The dogs had fleas and mites. The CVT and vet were very accommodating. They knew exactly what needed to be done to help the dogs. And the CVT even cleaned their carrier for us so we could ensure the fleas and mites were all exterminated.

We had the unfortunate need to put our cat, Oscar, to sleep recently. When we found him distressed, we took him to Evans East. They got us in right away and had little to no paperwork. Compared to other emergency clinics, this was very reassuring. They offered us a waiting room where we could have some privacy. VCA and other emergency clinics do not do this. They also allowed us to come back to their room and see how he was doing. Another thing VCA would not let us do. Dr Farmer was incredibly professional and sensitive throughout the entire process. She and her staff treated us with so much kindness and patience, it is hard to write a review that fully captures how much we appreciated their service during such a difficult time. I would recommend this place without reservation.

Love Dr Kromka. He always takes the time to make sure i understand everything and shows great compassion. I have 2 geriatric black labs. One of which has had cancer and its been a difficult time. I have received frequent calls from Dr K to make sure that Muddy and I are ok. He has gone above and beyond for us.! I also referred a man who had a terminal dog that needed to be put to rest because of the amount of pain he was in to what had to be long term cancer. I had gone with this gentlemen to his own vet. They did NOT told him this. Didnt even talk about him being sick despite the huge weight loss and amount of pain and me prompting them to do so as the dog was clearly suffering. When it became urgent his vet couldn't "fit him in" since it was a Saturday. I called Evans East and explained the situation. They had me bring him in after hours and explained everything very compassionately. Gave the poor dog pain medication then let him stay as long as he wanted with the poor boy to say goodbye before they compassionately put him to rest with us present. The poor gentlemen had mental health problems and loosing his long term companion could have been really bad for him. How they handled the situation was amazing. I unfortunately cant remember the female vet's name that helped us that day since Dr K was not in. This was before their urgent care and it was well after hours..

We have taken our pets to Evans East Animal Hospital for over 15 years. They have always been kind to us and our pets. We have 4 cats and 3 dogs. Our most recent visit was with Dr Gardner. Dr. Gardner is a little older, like us, and has seen a lot in his years as a vet. We always bring all three dogs with us even if only one is to be seen just for the socialization at the vet and this is okay with staff. In this instance two of our dogs needed a vaccination and a booster. Our older dog, Jack, has had goopy eyes for some time. They prescribed pred acetate on a continuing basis. His eyes, however, didn't seem to be clearing up. Dr Gardner recommended using a good quality plain over-the-counter moisterizing eyedrop before the pred acetate. It worked!. Jacks eyes are clearer and almost no red remains and no goopy discharge. Thank you Dr Gardner!

I absolutely love the techs and vet doctors here. Their new location is state of the art and beautiful. My dog, Opie, is so comfortable and calm in their presence and I will never take him anywhere else. The only reason why I subtracted a star is because one of the ladies at the front desk needs an attitude check. Last time I visited the old location, the front desk asked for the dog's name, so I said "I have an appointment for Opie" when I walked in this time. She rolled her eyes and said "yeah I'm gonna need your name not the dog's name" very rudly. So I said "okay Peyton..." She cuts me off and rolls her eyes again and using lots of hand motion "IM GONNA NEED YOUR FULL NAME. FIRST AND LAST." Well, miss sunshine, if you didn't cut me off, my full name would have been stated. Then, when taking Opie over to the scale, Opie wouldnt stand on it with all 4 paws, he kept walking off too quick, she was also really butt hurt about that too. Opie is a dog, he doesn't know he needs to stand perfectly still for more than 30 secs to be weighed, get a grip lady, maybe front desk at a vet isn't the job for you if you don't have any patience or kindness. I wish I remembered her name so someone could let her know she needs to be a little sweeter next time.

Emma is an old (14 years old) min pin. She doesn't usually do well with sitters, but she seems to thrive at Evans East Animal Hospital. I think it has to do with the attention she gets and a "schedule". When I pick her up I know she has been bathed in the morning and doesn't smell like kennel. The other nice thing about East Animal is that it is a kennel and a hospital, so if Emma were to need care they have the record and the skills to address her condition.

My family and I have been taking our dogs here for 30 years. I trust them and know they care about my pets as much as I do. But what really inspired me to finally write a review about a place I've been referring my friends to for years is how they handled an emergency my roommate had with her dog. Buddy was a 10-year-old yellow lab who had cancer and had been struggling for a while, though 90% of the time he was happy and energetic enough that we weren't anticipating any major issues in the immediate future. One day, though, she got home from work and he refused to eat. She took him outside and he laid down on the grass and didn't want to get up. We knew he was telling us it was time. Unfortunately, my roommate's vet does not have after hours or urgent care. I suggested we bring Buddy to Evans East, and unsurprisingly my roommate was hesitant; she just didn't want Buddy to have to die in a strange place surrounded by strangers. When I called to make the appointment, the tech was kind enough to give me time to cry while I was out of sight from my roommate. We asked if we could bring Buddy's brother with us, and were told we could. When we arrived, we were taken into the room and Dr. Lipkin came in to talk to us. My roommate was obviously very distraught and was worried about the decision she was about to make. Dr. Lipkin listened patiently and was as unbiased as possible. She talked my roommate through the options available, then left her in the room to be with her boys. Dr. Lipkin made sure to emphasize that she believed and supported my roommate and knew how much my roommate obviously loved her boy, and would be happy to do whatever my roommate thought was best. When Dr. Lipkin checked back in, my roommate told her she believed Buddy was ready to be put to rest. In such a heart-wrenching, terrible moment, Dr. Lipkin was so kind and so patient. When everything was finished, Dr. Lipkin stayed with me and Buddy and let me cry. It was late, near closing time for the urgent care, and Evans East would have been not at all out of line to hurry us out, but they didn't. They gave my roommate Buddy's paw print, and let us gather our wits in our own time. On the way home, through her tears, my roommate commented on how kind everyone we encountered that night was. A few days later, despite having known my roommate and Buddy for only a couple hours, my roommate received a lovely card signed by the hospital employees, including a lengthy note from Dr. Lipkin. I can't tell you how much it meant to my roommate to receive that card. I'll never recommend another vet, and truly cannot express how wonderful I think everyone at EEAH is. Thank you for 30 years of treating me (and everyone,) like family.
