I am completely happy with my experience. Doctor Fox did an excellent job with my dog’s surgery. Ziggy - my chocolate lab has laryngeal paralysis. Doctor Fox performed the surgery on Ziggy with excellent results. Without this surgery Ziggy would not have been around much longer. There are only a handful of Doctors that can perform this surgery. Doctor Fox’s expertise was deeply appreciated. Doctor Fox performed the same surgery on my my black Labrador- Sir Drake. He gave me 5 more year of life with Drake, Drake lived to be 16 years old. Very happy with my experience

We recently switched over to Elmwood Grove from another vet in Oak Park. I cannot say enough good things about our experiences so far! My dog is very comfortable with the vets and staff there. I know everything they recommend is in the best interest of his health and not just another way to make money. They take time to explain the why and how of procedures and make sure I am comfortable with any decisions made. I highly recommend this animal hospital!

First visit with my dog and from first greeting to last goodbye, it was great. My check in was swift. My veterinarian was on time, thorough and super friendly. She explained options for my dog’s treatment and spoke to me with directness and compassion. I felt like we had been long time clients. They are a five star veterinary clinic.

On September 30th, 2022 I lost my furry baby, TinkTink. She had liver failure. My vet was closed, so my sister recommended Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital for end of life arrangements. I called and spoke with Liz. She was very helpful, quite informative and most of all sympathetic and caring. I took my Tink Tink in for cremation and the caring and compassion from Liz and other staff was beyond belief. Knowing that I left my TinkTink in the care of such a wonderful team was a sense of relief. They even sent a condolence card to my home. That was very special and touching. My pup was a part of the family for 13 1/2 wonderful years. A week later I received a call informing me the ashes were ready for pickup. Again I was greeted with such warmth. Thank you all at Elmwood Grove❣

This was great I loved that I was able to go in with my dog the vet was super knowledgeable and the tech was very sweet when tending to my dog. They made me feel like this was some place I could leave my dog if need be. He will be have a dental cleaning in December and I was feeling very nervous about that but I feel much better after our visit.

It's always hard to know who to trust in a new area (we've just moved to Chicago from the SF Bay Area) so it was a relief to meet the folks at Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital. The reception staff was super friendly and gave me a run down on how dog parks work here (it's very different from CA) and some tips on how to get permits for the right dog parks for us. The Vet tech was efficient, knowledgeable, and great with my pup. The Doctor took time to get to know us a bit and made sure we were aware of some of the differences in flora and fauna that we needed to be aware of to keep our dog healthy and safe. They went through his record and made sure we were up to date on everything he needed and took a few extra minutes to help us figure out the dog permit forms (how to get them and what we need to get them accepted). TLDR: It was a great first visit with a new Veterinarian in a new city. They were super friendly, adept, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we need to get situated and have a healthy, happy pup.

A few days ago, our dog was starting to go into a diabetic shock, and things were not looking good for him. We took our dog into the clinic, and they were incredibly helpful and worked with us over the next several days to get him heading in the right direction. We are incredibly grateful to the staff at Elmwood Grove, especially Dr. Bobo, for her willingness to work with our family and Tatanka under incredibly difficult circumstances. I contacted Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital, as I needed attention to my senior dog's dental issue ASAP. I was happy they were able to get me in the SAME DAY (cancellation, lucky me). Dr. Gibas was very attentive to my Miniature Pinscher with eating issues. She performed a thorough exam and gave me excellent suggestions & options of what I could do to help my boy. I was able to schedule an appointment for a full dental in the near future. I was contacted the next day with my pup's blood work results. I was nervous to trust a new vet with my senior dog, but my current vet does not have appointments, it's a wait your turn situation. (could be long & stressful). Plus, they did not do dental, I would have to go elsewhere. My choice was right for me. I recommend the AGAH totally. Pricey, but I think it is probably average, as I have nothing to compare it to. I did receive an estimate for the upcoming procedure.(eeks).

During COVID they are doing curbside or drop-off care, it's a little different but it helps them stay open and caring for pets withouta lot of inconvenienceto the people. I called Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital this week after my 9 year old female cat had had been limping on her right front paw for a week. I was able to bring the cat in the next day and Dr. Decair was caring and helpful in discussing how to care for the cat. During a subsequent phone call, I mentioned another concern I had about the cat and Dr. Decair recommended several options to try first before prescribing meds for the cat. I liked the respectful and attentive treatment from the staff and look forward to bringing my other cat here in the future as well.

We have received excellent service and care from the Elmwood Grove team for the past 9 years. Recently our dog groomer discovered Casper had an infection so I called Elmwood Grove and they were able to squeeze us in the next day. Dr. DeCair and the assistant were great with Casper and explained the problem and tx. plan well. The front desk person was also very friendly and professional.

I’ve been taking my boy for almost 4 years. I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff. Yes the price is not super cheap but I think most places are high now a days and I have only one more vet to compare to. His previous vet was super cheap but was a very small simple practice. No high tech stuff or a huge staff. She as able to keep costs down and no longer taking new patients. I’ve had the same great, friendly service at elmwood that at the smaller practice.

Hands down best vet we have ever been to. Great caring staff that try to help you with any problems your pet may be having and do great preventative care as well. They don't try to sell you products you don't need. They are also great and comforting when it's time to say goodbye to your older pets. Love the staff there especially Dr. H, and Dr. Fox.

I have a 5 yr old German Shepherd named Knuckles that does not do well with others so when I initially walked in he started to bark but the doctor and staff were very friendly and very professional and actually got to calm knuckles down. Dr. Bobo and her staff are absolutely fantastic! She really knows her stuff and truly cares about her furry patients and their owners. We were worried our cat had a serious uterine infection, one that would need to be treated quickly, and Dr. Bobo was equally as concerned and got an ultrasound next day, and our kitty was a-okay thankfully! and Elmwood grove is much more reasonably priced than the $600 plus some other hospitals were going to charge for an ultrasound. Can't recommend this place enough!

I was blown away by how amazing this animal hospital was, and it was so close to my house. I wish I had known about them sooner because they took great care of my senior dog. He was suffering from insane itching and they took the time to explain everything they could as far as treating him and what was causing the bad scratching. Dr. Sydney Bobo was amazing, and all of the vet assistants were very kind and sweet to my dog. They are fantastic here and will take good care of your pet at a very great price, too.

Even though it was curbside, the doctor explained everything thoroughly to me via a phone call while I waited and took her time answering any questions I had. The receptionists & nurses were very kind and patient with my shy pup and they also sent me home with paperwork that went into a lot of detail on what to expect, and how to handle, puppyhood. Friendly, attentive staff. Even with the contact less system they have going because of the current issues, they took the time to explain everything. It was my cats first visit to their facility, and they did their best to help him, even though he was really not into it. I took my senior dog for the first time yesterday and we saw Dr. Bobo. She was great. She did a thorough exam and explained everything clearly. She welcomed questions and did not make me feel that she was rushed or that the questions were silly. Although my dog was not happy to be there, everyone was patient with him and I am confident that he will receive great care here going forward! My other two dogs have now also been treated at EGAH. This time we saw Dr. Gibas. She was so so good! Like Dr. Bobo, she explained everything clearly and let me ask as many questions as I wanted. She clearly is very knowledgeable and took great care of my dogs. We will definitely be back.

Dr. Bobo and Dr. H have been great at helping me figure out what might be wrong with my dog and his chronic stomach issues, and we're finally on a medicine that seems to be working. They're both great at replying to my questions all week long and helping me research what else we may do for him, and if something pops up last minute they're right there to help. Biggest thing for me is that they listen to my opinion on treatment options instead of just giving one route to go. The vet techs are also always super nice and my dog loves them all.

My fur-baby has a great doctor. I'm so glad that I've switched her over to this location. The doctor's care and are kind, especially Dr. H and they saved my fur-baby's life while Banfield down the street of Grand Ave told me to give up on her and put her down. I have taken my dog Luther to a lot of vets throughout his 13 years of life (we've moved a lot!) And Elmwood Grove is by far the BEST of them all. They are so attentive, knowledgeable and compassionate. A few weeks ago we had a big scare when Luther wasn't feeling well at all and when I called they were able to get him in immediately to be checked out and taken care of. I am so very thankful for all the love and care that Elmwood Grove has given Luther (and very happy that we aren't moving again anytime soon!)

I have taken my dogs here for the last 8 years and I've always enjoyed their services. Recently though I've noticed that they've cut back on services including boarding and they always seem understaffed. I'm glad they are having success but cutting back on things that kept your old customers kinda stinks.

She is always attentive to issues and she treat my furry family members well. Without question, she is one of the best vets that I have met! The staff here has always been great. I have always had a good experience. The staff are warm, caring, professional and knowledgeable. They care about my animals as well as for myself. They call to check how my animal and myself were after I had to go due illness of my cats. Even when I had to put my cats down to old age one at 18 and one at 19. They called and sent cards. They return a call when I have a question. They explain everything so you can understand what’s happening to my cats. I don’t go anywhere else.

We have taken our dogs here for at least 15 years. Sometimes, we have not had great news. The wonderful people at EGAH have never once made us feel like we and our pups were not cared for and well taken care of. We just adopted Maze and took her to have a good once over,even though the shelter said she was good to go. They gave her a thorough exam and we were assured she is healthy. Very nice staff and doctors. Dr Fox taught me how to compute for carb calories in cat food. U don’t get that care in all places. Plus I got billed only 250 for a rabies shot n wellness check. Still reasonable range I think.

My cat, Sebastian, was diagnosed with idiopathic cystitis. I was very worried the morning of May 2nd and with the help of family and friends I was able to take him in as soon as 3 pm. The doctor took a quick physical exam and urinalysis to determine his diagnoses. I was very very happy with the service!! He's on a pain medication now and as the doctor gave me information on his condition it mentioned that he needed more environmental enrichment. I promptly spent TONS on this little weeny after his appointment (new wet food because his water intake sucks, new toys, a mini water fountain, etc) and as he enjoyed going outside in the past, I'm working on getting him a pet stroller so he can enjoy the fresh air like he did back in Mexico! The vets advice and treatment of patients was awesome !! Here he is enjoying the sun.

Took my cat Sechan to this vet for shots and check up. He was fine except he required oral surgery with a quoted price as high as $800.00. Agreed to surgery and he was dropped off at Vet at 7;00 AM. After recovering from anathesthlogy he was picked up at 4:00 PM. He had four infected teeth which were removed. Cost for surgery was good news as it was around $500.00, Was pleased with this Vet and would return for my cat's veterinary care.

Best animal hospital ever. I took my dog to two different animal hospitals. After they did a rectal exam, they found nothing wrong with my dog. They sent me home with antibiotics and probiotics just in case. A week later, I take him to elmwood grove animal hospital and Dr. Fox does a rectal exam and finds a mass in his colon. After colonoscopy and mass was removed, the problem stopped and my dog is back to being his old self again.

We have had many pets and many vets over the years, but Elmwood-Grove is by far the best. They're not cheap, but their caring, personalized service is outstanding! For example, when it was time to say goodbye to our sweet girl "Sammi", Dr. Heneghan offered to let us bring her after closing, so that there would be as little stress for her as possible. She put blankets on the floor for us, so that we could sit with Sammi as the sedative took effect. My wife and I held her, said our final goodbyes, and she passed away peacefully in my arms. The whole experience, though very sad, was also very beautiful. I've never had any other vet go to such lengths to see that the loss of a beloved pet was made just a little easier for the "pet parents". Thank you, Dr. Heneghan.

My beloved dogs have been cared for by Elmwood-Grove since I brought them home, and they have received the best care possible. I trust Elmwood-Grove 100% to do what is necessary to ensure the health and welfare of Henri and Hugo, and I never worry about them doing unecessary extra things or overcharging me. I have called the hospital for urgent or emergency issues, and I always receive prompt return calls. In an emergency, the answer is always "bring them in and we'll take a look." The hospital is clean, the staff very organized, and they do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. I have also boarded my dogs there for short stays and the dogs come home healthy and happy.
