Those of us that take pets on vacation live in fear of an emergency with our pet while away. That happened to us, we are from Rhode Island, on the third day of a fourteen day stay on Grand Isle, when our Chihuahua fell in the early evening and severely injured her front left paw, fracturing three metatarsals as we would find out the next day. We immediately called Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists “Vermont’s only specialty and 24/7 emergency animal hospital” and were turned away. The next morning, we called nine other vets and explained our desperation only to similarly be turned away. When we called Malletts Bay Veterinary Hospital they immediately understood our situation and we were graciously welcomed into the practice and treated as if we had been long-time patients. The facility is beautiful and everyone we interacted with was kind, charming, and empathetic. We left our little Lucy with them to be assessed as they had to fit her in between their previously scheduled patients, confident that she was in good hands. Dr. Dustin Page personally called us to explain what they were going to do, then called us again after they had x-rayed her, reset her metatarsals, and placed a cast on her leg. He was compassionate, patient and, again, treated us like we were regular patients. We will be following up with him next week for them to redress her arm before we leave for home. It is not possible for me to adequately express our thanks to the fantastic team at Malletts Bay Veterinary Hospital. They fulfilled their oath to use their skills for “the prevention and relief of animal suffering,” and we are very happy to know that we can now count ourselves amongst the list of their very lucky patients.

Dr. Wolf, Dr. Shelley, and the entire staff at Mallets Bay Veterinary Hospital are beyond exceptional and I cannot recommend this practice enough. Bringing your beloved pet to the doctor can be such a scary experience, but they all ensure that you feel comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. My puppy actually ENJOYS being there and is treated wonderfully by every staff member there. 10/10!

I had a great experience taking my cat to Malletts Bay Veterinary Hospital for the past 6 years. The staff and doctors are friendly, knowledgable and were always gentle with my cat. The only reason I stopped going there is because I moved. They were recommended to me by a friend because one of the doctors went out of her way to explain the details of his pet's condition and provide extensive follow-up on all of his questions. I'd recommend them to anyone!

I needed to get a new vet for my cat and Mallet's Bay Veterinary Hospital was recommended by my aunt. We had some trouble collecting vet records from my previous vet, and over several weeks the staff diligently worked with me and finally we got in, and within a week! I've visited twice with my fur-baby since then. Once for her annual wellness check and again for a tooth extraction. Both times I was impressed first by the physical appearance of the place: clean, large open reception area, clean and spacious exam rooms, and onsite services (such as oral surgery) make it easy to have access to these services without having to look for specialists. The staff also impressed me across the board: reception, vet techs and vets are all curtious and caring and provide excellent, detailed and easy to follow information regarding the car of my pet. I highly recommend.

Very clean waiting room and doctor room. Did not wait long at all to be called back. Dr Sara was very kind and patient with our dog. I appreciated her answering all of our questions and talking us through her exam. Overall happy with our experience and trust sending our dog here!

I have been too different veterinarians, about my Cat's scratching problem, they have all said "He has flea's" or "He is allergic to flea's". I knew that there was something else going on with him, the doctor here took time to listen to my concerns, and came up with other reasons why he could be itching so much, like he is allergic to his food. I was great full to hear something different that I wasn't told from all the other vet's. My cat is an indoor only kitty and has his flea medicine routinely. Bedsides being caring and concerning they are very reasonable with pricing! I highly recommend Mallets Bay Veterinary Hospital... I finally found a Vet me and my furry friend love...

We woke up Saturday to a dog in a lot of pain. We drove to a couple of vets and were told they were to booked or they didn't take new clients. Finally we arrived at Malletts Bay and we were met at front desk by Lexie. She greeted us and was very friendly. She said they were pretty booked up but they could fit us in but it might be up to an hour. About 40 mins they got us in. Dr. Connell and her vet tech Jessie tended to our Ruby. Dr. Connell asked lots of questions and was very thorough with her exam. Ruby was having issues in her neck. After blood work (came back neg) Doctor decided on a couple prescriptions including pain killers. Ruby is doing better today. She's taking it easy and having a lazy Sunday! I can't praise Malletts Bay enough. Their whole staff was super friendly. Jessie the vet tech was so gently with Ruby. Ruby didn't feel good but I could tell she really loved Jessie. Dr. Connell thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to see our Ruby. Lexie you have such compassion for people and animals. While we were there a lady brought her dog in for the final ride. You were so kind to her. You're exactly what every business needs as the first person you encounter when you walk through the door. We travel full time. So emergencies with our dogs can be hard. Thank you all for helping our Ruby. She says thank you too.

We had a great experience here. As a new patient our dog was seen right away when she wasn't feeling well. The staff was friendly and kept us updated often when she was inside for treatment. They suggested cost effective and realistic treatment interventions, and were not simply just trying to make money. Our dog felt better the next day and we will definitely be using them as our vet from now on.

I've had nothing but great experiences bringing my puppy to my old baby during the 7 months that have had him. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. We would continue to use them as our vet if we weren't moving out of state. Sad to need to find a new vet!

Wow! I had been going to the same vet for more than 30 years. That vet retired and I wasn't a fan of the new vet. My dog had an issue and when the other vet's office gave me 4-6 weeks time frame I finally decided to shop around. Am I glad I did! Not only is the staff amazing and really REALLY nice but their pricing is really competitive! I haven't been in the facility (COVID) but the outside is gorgeous! They got me in in two days from my call. Really listened to me (I can be a bit of a crazy dog-mom when I'm scared) and were totally professional and kind. They gave me an estimate for a teeth cleaning while I was there (I asked - it wasn't upselling at all). I'm sold, this place is great, I will definitely be taking my pets to Malletts Bay Veterinary Clinic from now on.

My own small practice veterinary office was closed due to vacation when my dog needed to see a DVM. Mallets Bay was very understanding, got me in super quick, very responsive and communicative. Unfortunately, the imaging didn't bode well and I am getting referred to a specialist but I truly appreciate the office willing to see my dog (who is not a regular client), provide me a diagnosis, so that I can get him the treatment and continue moving forward in helping my pup.

Dr Wolfe is our vet and she is wonderful. Our pup had a reaction to one of his shots and she called later that evening around 7 pm to make sure he was doing ok and he was... The staff there is always so helpful and pleasant and you never feel rushed. Best vet hospital in the area

Very good vets office. My dog was given an appointmrmt quickly and they were able to take care of the issue i had with my dog. They went over step by step what my options were and how much they would cost. The doctor and the vet tech were very friendly and kind to me and my pet and that's important. Thanks to them my dog is well and will not suffer any long term effects. The front desk staff was also very nice greeting me and upon leaving.

I moved here this past summer and researched vets like crazy and eventually settled on Malletts Bay based on the reviews. My dog is an 11 y/o Boston Terrier with serious heart issues so I wanted to find the best vets available - and Malletts Bay is the best! He's been in several times over the past couple of months and we always receive the best care and attention from the moment we walk in until the moment we leave. Every single staff member there is kind, professional, and punctual. Any time I've called with an issue or concern, they're able to get me in that same week. Leo remembers and likes everyone he's met there. We usually see Dr. Page, but no matter who we see, everyone is always so kind and thorough! They are realistic but also positive and encouraging too. I can't recommend Malletts Bay enough - you can trust them to take great care of your fur babies!

We recently moved to Vermont from Florida (a year ago). We loved the small wife and husband owned vet we had. I assumed i wouldn’t never be able to find something like that again after moving - but i was wrong. We have three labs and they have been amazing! We travel from an hour away to have them take care of our babies. They don’t overcharge and you can tell genuinely care about your pets. They have really gone out of their way to accommodate us. We recently found lumps on two of our three dogs. They got us in quick and had results to us the same day (benign lipomas). The visits were fairly priced along with testing. Also let us keep one of our dogs their for the day while we had appointments since we live so far away. Overall great vet and doesnt try to upsell you with unnecessary treatments

Definitely one of, if not thee top vet place in the area. Always friendly and helpful. They treat your pets like one of their own and are all very knowledgeable when it comes to what your pet needs. Recently moved so trips here take double the time, but I wouldn't change our pets vet even if it was 5x the drive in. This is a great place for your pets!

Mallets Bay Vet is an amazing and caring hospital. When my pup Tyson was Ill Dr.Gazo was so caring and compassionate as were all. Due to a mass on Tyson’s spleen he unfortunately continued to decline over the past year. When I called Friday morning and told them I had to make the toughest decision to have him put at peace they made time for him. Unfortunate he passed before I arrive. Two young ladies came to my car with care and compassion to help me bring him inside. Dr.Gazo entered and talked to Tyson and patted him to say goodbye. In one of my toughest days these people made it just a little easier. Thank you for everything and all your kind words ❤️

I have 3 cats. All are rescues, and the last one was feral. When I brought 2 of my girls (sisters, neither feral) in today for routine exams/shots, I knew one of them would be a handful. And she was. Howling like a bobcat caught in a snare. Scratching, biting, etc. They were amazing dealing with her in that state. Got the exam done and shots given. Very nice and compassionate. Never made me feel bad for how poorly the exam went. Of course, as soon as I got home my little trouble maker was fine. Acting like nothing ever happened. I want to thank everyone there for being so sweet to my girls, even the violent one. Take your cats here, they are very capable and able to handle any kind of situation that will arise.

I just wanna say wow. I took my cat Golieth to DR Page for 7 years and this is the best vet clinic I have ever been too. I always left feeling like Golieth had the best and most compassionate care while he was there. I felt like Dr Page always took the most time and never made you feel rushed and there was no concern he couldn’t address! He worked with me with best options for Golieth along with addressed financial needs as well and supported me emotionally. I loved the phone calls to check in are throughout with detailed explanations of all tests! Golieth past away 9 months ago and they made it so personal for me and overwhelming support! So Thank you! Excellent vet clinic. We are from out of state and had an emergency with our dog. They fit us in, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem, and treated our dog with great love and care.
