I moved an hour away and I still take my two cats and two dogs here because I love it so much. 🐈🐕 Great staff, efficient visits, clean exam rooms, quality repertoire of corny jokes from Dr. Jawitz. No really, I love the jokes since they help diffuse the inherent tension of a vet visit. My pets rate it one star since they equally hate all trips to the vet... But they can't write Google reviews so their opinions don't count. 😂

I called during a time of shut down, left 3 messages, no one returned my call, when I called again, they said they were booked solid, I asked how many Doctors work at the HOSPITAL, they said #1!! I said that's not a Hospital Standard, If you had more Doctors, you wouldn't have to recommend them to go to a Death camp in Woburn. My Animal hospital was in Hanover, they had #4-5 doctors, and didn't close at noontime, Everyday? I'm not saying there not a great place, But it could be a much Better place, If they could have more Vets.

Both of my dogs are very happy when they reach Stoneham animal hospital!!they jump out of the car and run in - happy to see their vet & the staff that takes care of them! That says it all. Considering one of my dogs is blind the other has anxiety to get in and out of the car Except when we visit dr J.!!!😁 He is so good with them / and they love him!!

Everyone at this office is great. not only efficient and extremely capable but the love for our pets is evident always. Romeo has now been seen since he was 8 weeks old and is extremely happy and healthy at 10 years. He has pug issues but in these 10 years he has been active every day. I think I could not have found a better place to entrust the care of my dog. Also, everyone was super throughout the issues around the pandemic. They never complained and Romeo got his usual checkups and treatment.

We bring our dog Spike there and my husband's family has always brought their family pets there. Dr. Jawitz and his assistants are so kind and very knowledgeable. He actually helped to save our dog's life. After viewing a growth in his mouth, he sent us right to the larger vet hospital so he could get an emergency maxillectomy to remove an osteosarcoma growth. So thankful for him and his team!

I have been taking my dogs to Stoneham Animal Hospital since 1993. Dr. Jawitz and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, empathetic and professional. I feel that my fur babies are in excellent hands and I never had any problems or issues with their treatment. Kobi loves going to see Dr. Jawitz and his staff. When it is time for her to go in to be examined, she goes immediately to the scale steps up on her own to get weighed. Then she goes directly in the room and gets on the table and waits patiently to get examined. She totally trusts Dr. Jawitz and let’s him do whatever he needs to do without getting anxious. Highly recommend them.

I have been to several veterinarian doctors and this doctor is by far the best. He is so wonderful with the animals and highly educated in his field. He does not try to upsell you on products or anything that your animal does not really need. He is precise and focused 100% on the animals. So happy with the team at Stoneham Animal Hospital! I brought my cat in for her yearly vaccines and grooming with anesthesia (she is NOT cooperative otherwise) and I couldn’t believe how quick and efficient everything was done. The doctor took her right out of her carrier and gave her vaccines like it was nothing! They did a beautiful grooming job and the cost of everything was beyond reasonable compared to other vets. I highly recommend them and I am looking forward to bringing my other, more cooperative cat in the next month.

First time bringing my dog to meet the new vet. What a wonderful and loving atmosphere. The check in was fast and easy with respect to COVID-19 guidelines, I was impressed. The doctor was wonderful with her, she was calm and quite happy, he must have a gift, my dog is a little wiggle butt. I was allowed to be there, which is why I changed vets. No mystery, just kind and professional treatment. I’m so happy I switched vets! He did her nails without a thought, and she was pleased and not afraid at all. I’m very new to the Stoneham animal hospital I was treated kindly by the staff and doctor praying they treat my dogs kindly and attentive. I will say I went to a woburn emergency room a couple years ago and sat for hours as my dog was suffering treated horribly and when I left they said I had to get doxycycline for my dog who had lime disease they were charging me $100 for a quarter of a bottle I left and went to Stoneham animal hospital and they gave me the same medication without even really knowing me just looking at my dog that day for $10 I couldn’t believe it 90.00 cheaper.

Despite Covid restrictions, everything ran seamlessly. We were brought into the hospital and escorted to the examining room by Melissa. She was very friendly and welcoming. She was great with Abbey and informed us the doctor would be in shortly and he came right in! He was very kind and good with Abbey. He answered all our questions and also gave us other helpful information. Abbey did not even realize that she had been given her vaccination, as Dr Jawitz was so quick and gentle. Melissa cut Abbey's nails without any issues and then she took the time to answer last minute questions and did not rush us. The front desk staff was also very helpful and efficient. I know the front desk staff has turned over and they now have good attentive staff at the desk who handle phone calls well and go out of their way to help. I've been a long time clients of Stoneham Animal Hospital and Dr. J going back to our first Black Lab almost 20 years ago. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff greet you in a friendly manner when you walk in the door. They are punctual and run on time in getting you in to see the vet without delay. I feel they take the time to get to know the animal and also spend time answering any questions I might have without making me feel rushed or that my concerns are not important. My dogs always love to "Go for a ride". The amazing thing is that when we end up at Stoneham Animal Hospital for our appointment there is no hesitation or reservation on the dogs part to get out of the car. She climbs right out and walks right in. I think this speaks volumes on how the Doctor and Staff interact with the animals from the animals perspective. If it was an unpleasant experience my dog would remember and not want to get out of the car. I would highly recommend using them as their service has always been top notch and personal.

I have been taking my dog Molly to Stoneham Animal Hospital for 14 years. This last year we went frequently for laser treatments for her arthritis and I got to know the staff very well. Last week I had to say good bye to my beloved friend. The caring and support we received from Dr J, Trish and the vet techs and the lovely ladies at the front desk was all I could ever have wanted. Everyone went out of their way to visit with her and let me know what a sweet girl she was. And she loved them all. Stoneham animal hospital is a bunch of losers if you think their care about animals think again they over charge u so bad and they have such limited hrs and they can't handle any1 telling them the truth about their prices and they charge u different price everytime I go for the same thing it's not right they need to be stopped so I recommend not going you'll be happier somewhere else

I have been taking our dogs to Dr Jawitz since 1993. I had a female black lab that lived to be almost 15 years old. Dr. Jawitz was her primary vet for that entire time. His personal and professional care was and always has been excellent. He has always been sensitive to both our dog's feelings and of our feelings. He explains what he is doing and why he is doing so for any treatments our dogs receive. We now have two female black labs, and they have been seen at SAH since they were puppies. We also have boarded our dogs at SAH and have always had good experiences/results. When I read others complaints about the attendants at the front desk, or the cost of the visits and care, I believe it casts an unfortunate negative light on the actual care and treatment of the animal. Veterinary care is not inexpensive. If you want inexpensive, treat your animal at home. (Have you ever looked at one of your own detailed hospital bills?) If you get placed on hold when calling and get irritated over it; you obviously do not make very many calls into offices or service centers. (How was your "hold time" the last time you called your cable company?) If I didn't have the utmost trust in the care and treatment my dogs received by both Dr Jawitz and the vet techs at SAH, I wouldn't continue to bring them there for care.

Everyone there is so friendly. You can tell right away that they all care and love animals. My dog Duke even likes going. Dr J has got to be the best vet I have ever been to. Kind to the animals and very smart

Dr. J and his staff have treated my dogs & cats since he entered Stoneham Animal Hospital and handles my little ones now. They all care at the facility. His follow up calls on treatment success shows caring.Actually I thought they would name a treatment room after my kids - My son & daughter also use their services for their pets. After years of using them I cannot find one complaint about the way I have been treated and if my little ones could talk I think they wouldn't complain either. 5 stars is really not the appropriate rating and should be a 10 star rating. We have gone through regular physicals, shots, neutering, cancer, allergies, teeth cleanings & euthanasia. I have never thought of going elsewhere for a vet.Used others prior.

this is were i bring my cat to the vet - she get her yearly shots here - she gets her nails trimmed for free on a regualr basisi - i have had to boerd her here a couple times while on vacation and things went very well - i will be going away again and plan to have her stay there again. they are great with her cutting her nails - they get really long and they need to get cut and they are really good with her. She has gone to this vet since she was kitten. it is easily located

Stoneham Animal Hospital, it's staff and Dr. Mark Jawitz are incredible. I recently had to put my baby girl Jesse down. She was really sick. The compassion they showed me was incredible. I needed for Dr. Mark to see her so I called. I had been out of work and explained I had no money. He told me to bring her in and I could square things when I started work again. I work for a school system. He gave her meds and told me to call on Tuesday to give him an update. it was a long holiday weekend. Over that weekend she got worse. I called Monday nite and left a message. They called me back first thing Tuesday morn, even b4 they opened and told me he wanted to see her. she had a tumor in her mouth that burst open. I had to take her to the other place in Woburn and it was determined it was best for her what I had to do. Broke my heart. when Dr. J found out he called me and we spoke for a while. He made me feel better that the decision I made was the right one. I have been taking my moms dog, Toto, there since he was a pup, he passed at 16 yrs old. My baby Jesse was only 9 and he has had her since a pup. If I ever get another dog the only vet I will ever trust is Dr. J and his staff. If there were more than 5 stars up there they would get them all.
