Wow. I’m SO thankful for Lakeshore! Our one year old goldendoodle pup got extremely sick and Lakeshore got him in quickly and took care of him. I’ve never had to take a dog to the vet for anything urgent so I was worried about the cost. Lakeshore went above and beyond to make sure they met me where I was at financially. They only did what was completely necessary and didn’t charge for extras that he didn’t really need. They stuck with the price they originally quoted, even though he needed some extra services. Also, for the services he did receive, the pricing was extremely fair and reasonable. We went here before for his well dog visits and his neuter based on our breeders recommendation but now after this emergency service, I will never go anywhere else and I’m recommending Lakeshore to all of our friends and acquaintances who are looking for a vet. I left knowing I wasn’t ripped off and my pup is finally healthy with their treatment and follow up care. We drive all the way from Star just for this vet! Thank you SOOOOOOO much Lakeshore for helping Maverick! You have a lifetime customer with us!

We had to put our 13 year old golden retriever down last week and needless to say, I was a total mess. The staff were so, so kind and accommodating. She couldn't walk anymore, so rather than get a stretcher and take her into the clinic (which would have been so distressing to her), they had us pull to the side of the building and they were able to do it right in the van without having to move her. This week we received a card with a lengthy and heartfelt message offering their condolences, which was so unexpected and appreciated. We'll definitely recommend them to any of our friends and family.

We take our dog older dog Lucy there as her hips are getting bad . Zack was exceptionally good with relating to people and the realities of life. They were the best for my closest hunting companion. The nicest thing is they held Lucy for the day and fit her appointment in at there convenience. That program is superb as life is busy with work and my children it is hard to take the time to sit and wait at the vet. The prices are best I have ever seen. Really a great team.

I enjoy bringing my pet here and will continue to. The care provided is great. The only thing I don't love is that every appointment is usually running pretty behind. We usually have to wait 20 to 40 minutes past the appointment time before the vet comes in the room, which is difficult for folks like me to have to leave work in the middle of the day to make it to the appointment (the scheduling options are very limited). It would be ideal if the appointment could start closer to the scheduled appointment time. Everything else is wonderful.

We recently needed our horse’s eye removed and Dr Zach did a fantastic job taking care of our girl! Miss Cash is recovering nicely and seems so relieved to have that painful, nuisance eye finally gone. She’s just as beautiful as ever. The staff was amazing and friendly and the fees were very fair. We had an emergency situation this morning with one of our bunnies and called all over the valley, only to find nobody will see/treat rabbits or they were at capacity. I called Lakeshore and not only were they kind enough to see us short notice but we were seen right as we walked in! Dr. Raptosh was thorough and honest with us and his vet tech Adell was extremely knowledgeable! We are so grateful they were willing to see our bunny and had a wonderful experience! Thank you!

Vet was short and sweet , but I suppose as pet owners thats what we prefer. The vet tech(s) were also on point and the clinic was clean, spacious and within budget. Definetly recommended for any animal owner looking for vet primary care. -Update 12/20/22 We just had our 3rd visit to this clinic for a routine gland expression and just as with the last 2 visits things went quick, it was clean and overall a very stress free experience for us and our dog, even with the animals in the waiting room. Definetly recommend

My senior dog had issues with his kidneys and we ended up losing him. Lake Shore was amazing with my sweet Rosco. In his last hours he was pampered and loved. As Rosco was saying goodbye, the staff at Lake Shore were so kind and understanding. They weren't just nice, they were amazing. I was hugged and loved on to help me through the hard time. My kids were there and were also treated well. When it was too hard, the staff made sure that they had coloring books and crayons to take their mind off of it. After it was all done they made a clay print of his paw that was so beautiful. They also sent a card with Rosco's print on it with kind words. Rosco has traveled the country with me for the last 9 years and has been to many different vets. Lake Shore was by far the best we have ever been to.

Exceptional service and care!! Had a bit of an emergency today with our girl giving birth and they happily fit us in even though they were short handed with Dr’s. We called our “regular” vet first and they didn’t care to help at all. Glad we found LSAH!! Each and every person on staff at LSAH were very friendly and genuinely concerned to help us with our situation. They actually cared and didn’t make us feel like we were just another paying customer. We will be going back for sure!

I called Lake Shore yesterday after my cat's tail was injured in an unfortunate accident with a reclining loveseat's mechanisms. They offered me empathy, understanding and options for same-day/emergency care that they woudlnt be able to schedule or provide immediately. They did however get her in the very next morning (less than 24 hrs) and were able to verify her injury was minor and would heal on its own and they would provide her with pain medication to assist her healing. So grateful. So so grateful!

I just moved to Nampa, and when my dog was horrifically injured I didn't know where to go. We called Lakeshore and they accommodated an emergency visit, and I'm eternally grateful they did. Gentry was very patient and calm, which really helped me stay patient and calm. Paperwork went very quickly, partly because they didn't try to sell me anything while I was so distraught. The advice they gave me before and after my dog's surgery was straight forward and realistic, but not scary. I almost cried when they handed me the bill and I could actually afford it, I was so scared I'd have to have my dog euthanized if I couldn't afford treatment. My dog has a long recovery ahead of her, but I feel a lot better knowing that the staff at Lakeshore will be there for checkups and advice along the way.

You all so kindly helped my 18 year old cat, Tortilla during her emergency after a slip, fall, twist and possible seizure or adrenaline shock. I've in the middle of the most difficult and testing time of my life dealing with the death of my soon to be wife and my Father, both within weeks of each other. I really appreciate the way Lake Shore has been going above and beyond for my cat. The front desk always assists us promptly, and Dr. Dan has been so helpful and patient with us and has worked her in for several emergency tests and treatments. He's even called us to check on her even when he didn't have an update for us. They're great about explaining possible steps, tests and costs so you know all your options on how to move forward as well. We're glad we found them!

I needed a veterinarian to check my puppy without delay. I called most other vet offices in Nampa and Caldwell and I was turned away. They wouldn't see my puppy for at least six weeks. When I called Lake Shore Animal Hospital and asked for help My puppy was quickly accommodated without delay. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The veterinarian assistance were loving and caring. The veterinarian was friendly and took time to explain his diagnosis and recommendations. Staff at this animal hospital are great and I recommended them for your pet. *I also learned that a grain free diet is not healthy for your dog. Grain free diets are a marketing gimmick to entice you into buying more expensive brands which are not good for your pet.

I cannot rave enough about this place. Been coming here for 4 years now and absolutely love them. My diabetic dog spent a lot of time there the last few years of his life, so I got to know the staff pretty well. When he passed a few months ago they were so good to my family and I. My other dog has been there since and I’m so grateful to know she’s in good hands as well. I’ve never felt like they are over charging me or wanting to do things just for the money, complete opposite actually. The one vet actually said, “I’m not gonna run that test cuz it’s a waste of money for you!” Very trustworthy people. So glad I found them!

I cannot say enough about the responsiveness and kindness of the team at Lake Shore. They fit my kitty's visit in when no one else was able to, and helped me avoid costly emergency vet expenses. Their team is compassionate, and very understanding when I got emotional, as this visit brought up memories of losing my senior kitty just a couple months prior. Despite being incredibly busy, they provided excellent customer care and were wonderful with my pet. He's already feeling better after the care they provided and the two doses of antibiotic he's had in the past 24 hours. Their services are comparable or less than what I experienced at another vet in the area, and I will gladly make the drive to take my furry kiddos out to them for future needs.

This is an AMAZING vet! They are so kind there; they were able to work in my cat, as a first time patient, when he had a ruptured anal gland! Everywhere else had a wait of several days. When we got our silver lab, Cocoa, nearly two years ago, Lake Shore was recommended to us. We have been coming here ever since. They did her spay and have done all vaccinations and check-ups. We have never been disappointed. The doctors and staff are so kind and responsive to questions. Today, we had to bring her in because of an allergic reaction and despite being swamped, they managed to happily work her in and give her the necessary treatment. We have never been made to feel that we were a burden. Instead, they treat us like family and love and care for Cocoa, just like we do. We have found their treatment excellent and their prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

I have been here once before to have my cat put down after suffering from kidney failure. They were nice and made me a keepsake for him. Recently I went in again because I no longer support or like Dr. Ks Pet Clinic after he handled my injured cat roughly. Came here and they cared and did as good a job as possible. They told me my cats bladder is herniated and recommended a specialist, though they can also do it. I went with the specialist because I don't think they have a lot of surgery experience with Manx and hernias and I wanted someone certified. So they are limited with severe/complicated situations in my opinion but they seem like they do a good job with most other things.

Amazing staff and reasonable prices. I brought my dog in because of weird miniscule symptoms that honestly probably would've been dismissed elsewhere. They very quickly narrowed it down to a weird not super common life threatening disease that since we caught it so early is very easy and inexpensive to manage. They also checked back in on him every day that week just to see how he was doing. Their over the top service and friendliness was amazing.

Dr.Wills was great!!! He was so nice, friendly, and very thorough with our 1 year old dog, Lily! She was in for her 1 year check up and rabies booster vaccination! And it is curbside right now, and he brought her out to us which I was really impressed with and he knew we had questions about Lily, cause we wrote them all over the patient info sheet. I don't have any problems with the care my pets have received but the practice has grown so much since we first came here four years ago. It doesn't seem that there is adequate staff. I resigned myself to the long hold times when making a call to the clinic, but my golden retriever, Bonnie, has epilepsy and sometimes that is an urgent situation. I have finally decided that we need to go somewhere else, although I am reluctant to do so. I do appreciate the care we've received over the last 4 years, but I need to move my dog to a facility where they aren't so busy and can actually provide more than phone advice during a seizure crisis.

I was in a few weeks ago with my dog that I thought might need a quick procedure. The assistant came and took my dog but brought him back out saying he was fine. There was no charge. I really appreciated their honesty. While I was waiting in the waiting room however, there was an older man who had come in with some puppies and they were having a hard time getting him the paperwork he needed. He was extremely rude over and over to two of the younger staff that were trying to assist him. I was so impressed with how professional and patient they were with this extremely rude and arrogant patron. Way to go to awesome staff! You guys are the best!

Very kind and knowledgeable veterinarians. The vet's and all of their staff are very sweet and caring with our pets,and give us very good service. Their prices are fair ,and the clinic is clean and is nicely laid out and nicely decorated. They work with small and large animals,livestock,horses and such! They are great with our Dachshunds! They also are connected with the very good boarding and grooming facility right next to them. Lake Shore Animal Hospital has a very convenient location,good parking. Would definitely recommend them!

I would HIGHLY recommend this vet. They were very kind and compassionate when I had to bring in my beloved Zoe for euthanasia. They had a private room set up for us when we got there, and gave me all the time I needed with her during that immensely difficult afternoon. I never felt rushed. They did a wonderful job on her clay paw print cast- even cut it in a beautiful heart, and they sent a really nice card to our family afterwards. When I need vet services of any kind for our other animals, we will be coming here. Thank you.

I moved here about 8 months ago and have tried most large animal vets in the Canyon County area, and have been disappointed with most. Zach and team have been really great to me and my animals. They have a nice updated facility and act very professional. I brought my goats in for blood draws and Zach was willing to show me how to do this to allow me to draw blood from home next time. On a Sunday I had a goat with a kid stuck during birth. Zach was the only vet in the area that would answer his phone let alone call me back. He and Maddy set aside their Sunday plans to help deliver the kids, and Maddy called me back the next day to make sure my doe and kids were doing well. She walked me through how to avoid mastitis with my doe. I was expecting a very heavy bill due to it being an after hours emergency call (upwards of $500 from pervious experiences with other vets) but it was very reasonable. I also had another goat with postpartum issues and they were able to squeeze her in between surgeries to exam and administer the proper medications. Zach and the techs have been willing to answer any and all of my questions, no matter how trivial they are. I highly recommend Lake Shore Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for excellent care of their animals at an affordable price.

The staff are so compassionate. I had to bring in our cat of 15 years because it was his time to go. I was a crying wreck as I held him knowing that it was time for him to pass. They were so kind and got me right in to a room and allowed us time to say our final goodbyes and allowed me to hold him the whole time. I was there when he was born as a kitten and I was there as he left and they were so sweet and understanding during this difficult time. I highly recommend this clinic. We board our pup at the boarding facilities and have always had wonderful experiences.

Wonderful staff! My family recently had to put down our long time family dog. We had had a horrible experience years prior at a different vet and were hesitant to go through the process again but the staff here was so wonderful and understanding. They gave us time to be with our dog during the process and to comfort him. We were even given a clay imprint of his paw to keep and recently received a lovely handwritten card expressing their sympathies.

We took our newest fur baby for emergent care in early July and they took great care of my son's 3 month old puppy. They kept him over night and only charged a very reasonable $40 rate. The staff are friendly,knowledgeable, caring and are diamonds of Canyon County. They will be our Animal hospital for the future.

They are Great! My cat Rocky is sooo afraid of other people. Has no problem with them. They give off great vibes and calm him. So here we are Years later and they have hired a front desk person who insist my cat be in a carrier. Take him back without and we return and she has shoved him in one to pick up. This is traumatic to our cat! He HATES bags, boxes, tight enclosed areas.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Widick. We have been dealing with allergies for over 4 years that result in complete hair loss for our dog. We switched vets both because we moved and needed a 2nd opinion. Within one visit we discussed options I was told would never be available to me. Overall a fantastic experience. Clean facility with great care to the animals. I don't know if I always have bad luck, but when I call in I have been put on call waiting everytime and wait up to five minutes every time. It would be nice to find a work around.

I have had animals all my life. When I was little my mom used to drive miles to see her favorite vet and that taught me what to expect from the doctor I chose to care for my animals. Dr. Zak and his staff are not just friendly and kind to my animals. They care about me as well. After one of my sweet dogs passed, Dr. Zak made it a point to ask how I was doing! He genuinely cares about me and my animals. They are fair in price and more often than not they go above and beyond! Currently due to Covid 19 safety, curbside service is in place. We stayed in our car, paperwork and info taken from there and then our loved one was taken inside for treatment. There are no words to express how grateful my boyfriend and I are for the staff at Lakeshore. My boyfriend had to make the painful decision to lay to rest his LucyLuLu. When I called to the make the appointment I told them my boyfriend wanted to chat with a vet first and then possibly make the decision. With this crazy pandemic going on the amazing staff talked to my boyfriend and said we should run some tests and see what was going on first, his dog was elderly and experiencing some pretty severe symptoms in the last few days. We took Lucy to Lake Shore about or month or so prior for similar issues so we knew this could be then end. When we spoke to the dr he was so nice and showed use Lucy’s blood tests from before and how far they had dropped after. When he explained that her levels were just too to treat we knew what we had to do. It was so hard but again the staff is just wonderful. We had Lucy wrapped in her favorite blanket she always was cold, and under all my tears and blubbering they kept her wrapped in it until we were gone. I know they took amazing care of our little furbaby. Thank you Lake Shore for compassion, professionalism, and loving hearts! Please don’t stop anything you are doing!

What a great company of caring people! Dr. Zach (I don't even know his last name) is easily the most competent and most caring Vet I have ever even met (and I know a few Vets). He spent a lot of time working with me and my family to make sure we were OK with a care plan and the costs involved with an old dog dying of cancer. The staff is the same. They work there because they love animals and they care about the feelings of pet owners. That is the only explanation for them being there. There is no way they are getting rich. They don't charge enough let alone too much. I have to say that the one negative review I see here must be a plant. Probably West Vet. It's too bad there isn't a way to verify that a reviewer really is a customer. I recommend Lakeshore to anyone who wants sincere and competent pet care at very reasonable costs. David Weber

My first visit was because my oldest dog wasn't able to walk with out falling over and my normal vet couldn't get him in. I called lakeshore because they are close to where I live. They were able to squeeze him in. Everyone was so friendly, Dr. Young was amazing..she explained everything and started my dog on medication. He now is walking much better. We took our 7 yr old Boxer Legend in after some fainting spells for some blood work. Dr Widick came out and explained his findings and possible issues and solutions. After a few follow visits we were able to narrow down the issue and discovered it was terminal. Absolutely wonderful Vet and Staff. Dr. Zak and his Niece came to my house to humanely put down my old Lab. After almost 15 years she was ready but we just could not bear the thought of taking her somewhere and scaring her before she passed. I will only use Lake Shore Animal Hospital from now on. I came here several weeks ago to have my dog treated for an ear infection. The Vet I normally go to was to busy. The staff went above and beyond with the service. The Veterinarian was professional and caring about my dog. The service I received was second to none. They even called me twice after the treatment to see how my dog was doing. And if ther were any other problems or if I had questions to call back. Bottom line, if you want the best treatment and service for your animal, see these guys before you go anywhere else.

Love these guys. The ladies up front are always kind and concerned. The vet and vet assistants are also well versed in genuine care and actually take the time to listen to my concerns and details of symptoms. When I couldnt afford to leave my pup with parvo in their hands, they did their best to make things affordable as possible while still giving him the care he needed. The technicians nearly cried with me. Even though he didn't make it, I know they tried their best to help him. The love of animals really shows through here with the employees, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I refer everyone I know here, for good reason. I have found my dogs new vet!! 😁 Very impressed with the Staff and the Veterinarian. Beyond pleasant, compansionate, and professional!! EXCELLENT SERVICE and AFFORDABLE!!! My dog apparently hurt her tail last night and was very uncomfortable, i called LSAH at 8:15am. They said I could bring her down and drop her off and the doctor would see her as soon as he could. I got there at 8:45am, filled out all new patient forms. They took my girl to the back. As i was about to leave and await a return call, the receptionist asked if I could wait. The doctor was going to look at her real quick and I may not have to leave her. Shortly after he came out with her, gave me the breakdown of her injury. We were out of the office by 9:10 with some anti inflammatories. Thank you LSAH for taking such fast care of my furry baby!!!! We will be back!!

I woke up Sunday Jan 26,2019 and my 1/2 Welsh Corgi-1/2 Papillon's face was swollen up under his left eye and into his upper left lip area the size of a golf ball.We just moved here from Bend Oregon Nov 20 so I did not have a vet yet and it being Sunday,most vets are closed.I did not know if he had been bitten by something,pricked or cut by a plant he was allergic to,or had an abcess from and infected whisker or tooth.So I observed him and made sure nothing was life threatening and decided I would take him to a vet the following day. My daughter's dog had a recent sudden illness about 3 weeks ago,Thank goodness someone recommended Lake Shore to her because she had no vet yet either and she had to rush her dog to Lake Shore .The experience she had was so positive,I decided to use Lake Shore even though I live 20 miles away.So Monday morning I called at 8am when they opened.I was told they were completely booked for appointments but if I was willing to come in around 930 am I could be squeezed in between the existing appointments. I was so impressed.The facility was inviting,clean and neat inside and out.The lobby was uplifting and comfortable and the desk staff were friendly and caring.We were taken to a room right away.The Vet Tech was friendly and attentive and so good with my dog,establishing herself with him.The veterinarin Dr Zach Raptosh was so very calm ,laid back and gentle.So friendly he felt like a family member and my dog took to him immedaitely.My dog bonded right away with everyone there..I have to say all of the staff was amazing,friendly,courteous and caring.Everyone was thorough,checking everything to determine the cause of my dogs swollen face.My little guy is completely healed.I am so relieved and happy to have found a competent place to take care of all our vet needs.Lake Shore Animal Hospital in Nampa Idaho is who I will use for all of our future vet needs.
