Although no one ever wants take their pet to the after hours vet/ER — if you need to, Pet ER Towson is where you need to go. I called concerned about my Beau’s eye and although he wasn’t a super emergency, they still said I could bring him right in and they could look at it to see if he somehow injured it or maybe just irritated it somehow. And fortunately it was only irritated and not injured , but it was the way they treated me and him that made want to leave this review. They made my feelings validated and treated Beau as if he was one of their own. Although he doesn’t look happy in the photo, as his human I know for him to lay down like this and chill he felt comfortable there too. I hope we never have to come back, but if we do, I know Beau will be in the best hands if we do. To the team that helped us tonight- thank you 💜

Words cannot express how wonderful the staff is! My best friend, Dream passed at home with us, unexpectedly. I was so lost and upset and had to bring her in during the middle of the night. I held her the entire way there, and the staff met us with a gurney outside. I wasn’t ready to let go. They were so patient with me, while I was a total mess. They gently helped us get her onto the gurney and took us into a private room, where we could spend more time with her. They made paw and nose prints for me and helped us through the discussion of her cremation.
I have never met such a compassionate team, who truly cared about my baby girl; and the patience they had with me while I struggled to let go was untouchable. They made one of my darkest days easier. Even when I picked up her ashes, I tried to hold it together in the office, which was very busy that day… Once again, they showed so much compassion… I think the lady at the front knew I was holding it together by a thread, and she made me feel like I was the only person there and gave me a heartfelt hug. One of the doctors stopped in mid conversation with a colleague to give their condolences.
I just received a card in the mail. Each staff member personally signed a card in memory of Dream. I bawled like a baby.
These guys truly know what our fur babies mean to us, and they share those emotions with us. They showed me more love than any veterinarian I have ever gone to. Moving forward, I will go here with my other two dogs.
Thank you all so much for all of the compassion, patience and continued support throughout this difficult time!

Peanut was treated with warmth, care and first rate vet analysis. He had a wound and was at risk for infection. Everyone from the Dr. to vet techs to front desk people were warm, hospitable and informative. I’m relieved to know they’re there for emergencies. It seemed busy. Make sure your phone is charged, if kids are with you and you’re going to wait, bring a game for them. It’s a line of emergencies like any emergency room. I give them five stars!!

The staff was absolutely amazing! They took such great care of my Rosie and worked with me financially. I didn’t feel looked down upon for not having much money. They cared more about my dog than the money. They turned a scary situation into a good experience. My Rosie is feeling so much better now.

I cannot say enough positive things about this ER! Every member of their team is unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. My cat had to be hospitalized with heart failure and they made what I expected to be a horrible experience really positive. They saved my cat's life.
The vets and vet techs explained everything in a way I could understand, took the time to answer every single one of my many questions, cared deeply about my cat, and offered me so much compassion.
They called multiple times a day with updates and I was able to speak to a vet every day. I can't remember every vet's name but Dr. Vakil was one I spoke to many times and she was incredibly warm, informed, patient, and helpful.
They're really responsive and organized. Whether it was 11pm on a Friday, 7am on a Saturday, or 2pm on a Monday, I never stayed on hold for long when I called. When I came to visit, I expected to have to wait hours for a room, but they got me back within minutes every time. There was clear communication between shifts, so everyone who cared for my cat this weekend was on the same page about the history and evolving treatment plan.
Everyone I spoke to, from the folks at the front desk who answered all my calls to Patrick (I think that was his name! He helped me with the paperwork) to the vet techs to the vets were so kind. The night I got there, I was an anxious, sobbing mess and Xanthia, one of the vet techs, listened to me really patiently, offered me water, put me in a comfortable room, and expressed so much empathy. She even took a video of me saying goodnight to my cat the first night because I was worried it was goodbye. Thanks to this team, it wasn't!!
My baby and I were treated so well, and I am more thankful than I can put into words ❤️❤️❤️

Entire staff was great. Dr miller was awesome. She has a really good bedside manner. Very patient and helped me make a big decision in an emergency situation. Truly grateful. Highly recommend Pet ER

I recently laid to rest my beautiful Angel - she had been diagnosed with a heart condition over a year ago, and working with the staff at Pet+ER and the Cardiology department was a wonderful experience. They were genuinely kind, compassionate, and understanding - not only to me but in how they treated my pup.
When the time came to say goodbye, the vet on call that night helped us in the most grounded and caring way. I can look back fondly on my 15+ years with my Angel knowing that she received the best of medical care.
Thank you so much Pet+ER, my husband and I truly appreciate your kind words and caring hearts.

Oliver could not have been in better hands. The drs and staff were amazing and took time to talk with me about his condition and treatment plan. As hard as it was to have to leave him at the hospital and with people I didn’t know, I trusted the drs and technicians with him. Thankfully Oliver is fine and ended up not needing surgery.
I would also like to thank the front desk staff for their kindness and understanding with a very stressed dog mom!

I cannot be more complimentary of the family centered care that my Charlie was rendered 3/12/22-3/14/22. ALL of the staff (MD, nursing, tech, and administrative) were so kind and open to discussing his plan of care.
My only feedback is that perhaps a proprietary discharge coordinator be in place for discharges. Admittedly, I arrived around change of shift, but I called in advance that I was on my way. I waited an hour in the parking lot for him to be brought out. I understand that there may have been procedures that were taking place at the same time, but having a dedicated discharge team for a busy practice such as yours may be a benefit.
Thank you again for taking such good care of my patriotic pup (he swallowed an American flag bandanna and he expelled it without surgical intervention 🤦🏻♀️)!

Thank you for performing surgery on my dog in the middle of the night, and for treating me with compassion and respect. I saw so many heartbreaking scenes with other pets and owners while I was waiting for my dog to get out, and the staff were all extremely helpful, professional, and courteous during these high stress situations.

I recently had to put my 16 year old dog who down due to multiple health problems- I’d had her since childhood and was absolutely devastated. I’m so glad I was recommended to this office because they were very professional and compassionate while helping me through this experience. The vet explained everything to me and made sure I understood that I was making the best choice, while giving me all the options possible to feel comfortable. I just got a card personally signed from all the staff sending their condolences which was very unexpected and heartwarming, it made me tear up. Take your pet here, they really care!

9/14/2022- Unfortunately we unexpectedly lost our beloved dog Sargent. The staff at Pet ER truly made one of the worst days of our lives an ‘easy’ one - if that’s even possible. I feel the staff went above and beyond to not only care for our boy in his final minutes but to care for us as well in our hardest and darkest moments. While treating and taking vitals the staff were gentle and loving with Sarge. They made him feel safe and at ease. I hope I spell her name right but Caitlin is a true gem. She entered the room and my husband and I were a blubbering mess after saying goodbye to our boy and she had us walking out with smiles on our face. Having staff that’s compassionate and personable in these situations are crucial in the grieving process in my honest opinion! We are forever thankful for Pet ER. While we hope to avoid needing them in the near future, we would without a doubt return for any emergent pet needs. Thank you so much for your care!

Cannot say enough about the caring, compassionate staff here. My dog Chloe presented with labored breathing and cyanosis on a Thursday morning. The team met us at the door and evaluated her quickly. The whole time she was there, they communicated with us about her progress and we were even able to visit with her with our other dog. She stayed the weekend and was finally stable enough to bring home on Sunday. We were able to have some really good days with her before she passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her furry brothers and sisters. A huge thank you to Dr. Richardson, Dr. Lamare, Dr. Davis, Dr. Lin, and all of the nurses and technicians who helped her and us through this process. You are all the best!

Some of the most compassionate people!!! My cat had an episode, and it turned out her heart is not good at all. We were told if she was a human, she would need a heart transplant. But these people here took such great care of my baby. Her vet Jenny was wonderful. She is so caring and compassionate. She got my little baby well enough to be able to go home with us. We are not sure how long we have with her, but thanks to Jenny and her staff, we at least have time with her now, where at first we thought she was not going to make it at all because she was in such bad shape. Thank you, Jenny and your staff for giving me more time with my baby girl.

Brought my girl in again , this place is amazing the whole crew is so helpful and compassionate . My girl stumped them again but they figured it out ! The vets that I spoke with were so helpful and wonderful best bedside manners I just can't say enough. I would recommend them 100% never going any where else when I have an issue with my fur babies .
Jacquelyn Amatucci
The front desk team was very kind, compassionate, and responsive. Our techs upon admission and discharge were very sweet to our sick pup and empathetic to Mom and Dad’s emotions. Even on a busy evening, Dr. Hanson was attentive and provided meaningful updates about our dog’s condition; he was also very personable.
Alisha Caruso
Took our dog Diesel in for something we thought could be a serious emergency. Turns out it was a quick and easy fix. They took him right in and they were so helpful. Jen and Lindsey were friendly and compassionate (I don’t remember the vets name). Great to have this in the community - knowing you can get the emergency help you animal needs.
Sonja Kelley
I had a long wait, but my dog's case wasn't life-threatening. The doctor's check of my dog was thorough and careful. The whole team was very nice. The treatment plan is reasonable and they try to keep things from becoming more expensive than necessary. This is the second time I've taken my dog to this emergency vet and while it's never fun, I'm pleased with their service.

My recent visit to the pet ER in Towson Maryland was very positive. My dog suffered an episode of bloat, it was a serious health issue. The doctor was quick to identify and inform me of the situation and steps that would be taken to resolve her issues. As promised, they called to inform me off actions taken and status along the way. All staff we interacted with were friendly, professional, and attentive. I feel fortunate we are so close to a facility that offers such exceptional care. This is far from my first experience with that facility. All of my visits have been positive Yes, it’s expensive but emergency care tends to fall that way. Maybe pet insurance is an option for me in the future.

The care my cat received was great, but initially they seemed to forget my husband and left him sitting in a room for 2.5 hours. When he went to the desk to inquire, he was told my cat hadn't been seen yet. This was incredibly disturbing, as time was of the essence. A number of animals had been seen and released during the time he waited. I eventually called the front desk to push for information, and they finally spoke to him, said she was being admitted, and provided an estimate for care. He agreed, and it took them another hour to get the paperwork to him. Once she was admitted, the communication from the doctors was excellent and she is now home and healthy.

I couldn’t be more grateful for Pet-ER Towson. I brought my sweet Daisy in while she was going through heart failure. The team took remarkable care of her. They let me come visit and everyone was beyond kind while I was there. I was a mess and they were kind enough to talk me through it. They gave me updates and tolerated my constant calling. They did absolutely everything they could to take care of her and it was a legit miracle that I was able to bring her home. They took care of her and me every step of the way. Daisy is home and doing so well. They saved her life ❤️

Pet ER has always been the best place for my dogs. Most recently we were turned away from a different vet ER due to a long wait list which is why we went to pet ER. Upon arrival they sent someone out to the car right away to see my dog. Within the next half hour we were in an exam room and they were providing fantastic care. I have nothing but good things to say about all of my experiences here.
Diedra
Our whole experience was entirely positive. From the time they brought our 17 year old cat into the examination room, they were quick, efficient and kind. Her hospital stay was 100% perfect and they were great. The doctors explained everything very clearly and I can’t recommend them enough.
Roger Lewin
Care of our very sick dog was excellent. In fact, as a doctor, I joked that I wished that we, in human medicine could reliably emulate the warmth and the empathy as well as the technical skill and the coordination. My wife and I felt also that they did an excellent job of taking care of us. A fine team.

PetER did an amazing job treating my poor kitten. From the moment she was in their care, til the moment I got her back, she was treated with amazing care! Kitten had to have part of her tail amputated, and they moved quick to make her comfortable. She was taken to ER at 11:45pm, had her amputation, and was home safe with me at 7am! They kept me informed, and price was so reasonable! I hope I don’t need er vet again, but will be the only place I do go if I need it!

We lost two dogs within this past year, one was 9 yrs old and the other 16.5 yrs old. Both times we went to the Pet+ER and the staff/doctors could not have been more wonderful. They helped ease the pain of our dogs so they could go peacefully and were able to assure us through running test that there is nothing further we could do for them, it was simply their time. The staff/doctors are angels on earth, their compassion and professionalism is unparalleled. I can’t express enough my gratitude towards them during two of the hardest times of my life. I wish I could thank each person individually for their kindness towards my family and I, you went above and beyond your jobs…you are the good in the world.

We took our sweet dog here for care. He was very sick and the doctor and staff could not have been nicer or more competent at this very difficult time. They took care of our pet and us in a loving way.
Thank you for your loving care of our sweet Cody.
You are all awesome!!
Hugs!

I have had the great displeasure of having to take my dog to multiple urgent care and animal hospitals for a variety of reasons, including accidents and injuries. The professionalism and actual medical skill/capabilities of the people who work here is head and shoulders above every other animal hospital in the area, and fundamentally, if your case is sufficiently complex or critical, you will be referred here anyway. Of course it is not cheap, but they give clear and accurate estimates and the cost of care is absolutely commensurate with the value and expertise that the providers bring. This seems to me like the highest level of medical intervention for pets. It's also very helpful that Pet+ER is co-located with Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, which has multiple vet specialist practices, including complex surgery, oncology, dental care, cardiology, etc. They are very able to coordinate care between the centers, so if your pet is admitted to the ER, they can simply make the transfer if the situation calls for it and you approve.

My puppy swallowed a thumb tack. The staff and the doctors where incredible! Everyone was so nice! Dr. Hershner did the surgery she was amazing. She called me before surgery and after. I was very impressed. Great experience!

Pet ER took great care of our pup when she was hospitalized for several days. Very smooth process from start-to-finish, and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. In the unfortunate circumstance you find yourself needing emergency service for your animal, don’t hesitate to go to Pet ER in Towson.
Melissa Madsen
Pet ER immediately took care of my cat when she had trouble breathing. Throughout her stay I received regular updates twice a day on her condition and her treatment plan was frequently discussed with me. They did a phenomenal job and I'm so grateful to them for saving my cat's life!
Paige Evans
Taking your pet to the ER is never a fun experience. I rushed my cat here and they had a long wait. We were triaged appropriately and seen as quick as possible. Just a heads up call ahead or fill out the registration on your way there. It was definitely an expensive trip but the staff were amazing. Dr. Wolf was incredible. She was extremely thorough and took the time to fully explain procedures and treatment. The discharging nurse was also kind and went through paperwork and next steps with me. She gave me prescription food samples and talked through meds with me. Hopefully we won’t ever have to return but I’d recommend this ER if you ever need it.

I had to take my dog in here twice, neither time was a fun experience for the family as I had an elderly dog so we had a lot of fear going into both visits. India's first issue was some kind of infection in her stomach. The wait was horrible and due to the pandemic it was kind of stressful to figure everything out. In the long run, she stayed overnight - we got meds and she got another year and a half out of the visit. The negative of this visit was the lack of updates and my inability to go inside - even to use the bathroom.
Unfortunately she had a terrible seizure in early July and we feared the worst. We feared the worst when we got a waiting room and didn't have to be in the car but it happened pretty immediately after the tech came out and grabbed her. A 60 lb dog and the tech carried her right in. They came up with many options and unfortunately the best one for her (for quality of life) was the put her down. We didn't want her to suffer through multiple seizures, she was 16. We are still devastated from losing our Ric Flair impersonating angel (she loved to WOOOO! - it was just how she barked) but the staff was extremely friendly when we took her in, they babied her up until the moment she was no longer with us. She was put to sleep on a bed with a blankie and pillow (that the doctor adjusted multiple times to make sure her head was staying on the pillow) like the princess that she was. A few weeks later we were pleasantly surprised to receive a condolences card signed by the staff. I would recommend this place for sure but would also advise to call ahead as they will be honest with you about a possible wait time.

My visit to the Pet+ER in Towson was nothing short of top notch. I dealt solely with Christine who came out to the car in cold and windy weather to get my Bojangles and she was just amazing, so kind, and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was taken care of in a super stressful situation. She was phenomenal with the caring way she treated my dig like it was her own pet. I was also very pleasantly surprised when they reached out to me on Sunday to see how my Bojangles was doing and to tell me about the reserve cue that they hold in case your pet needs additional care. In the event you need emergency pet care this is the place, highly recommend!!!

From the moment they answered my phone call service was superb. This was the 3rd ER I tried (I drove to the first without calling and was informed that they were not taking any new patients; the second thought I might need an x-ray and did not have one). I was upset about my dog and emotional and the woman answering the phone calmed me and assured me that they would be able to take care of Yoyo, but also warned that there could be a wait if she was stable. When we arrived the two women at the front desk were friendly, efficient and thorough and immediately brought us into a room. There was a wait after the triage nurse came in, but it was obvious there were a number of more serious emergencies going on. When the doctor came in she discussed our options, answered all my questions and made me feel Yoyo was in good hands. Cost was very reasonable.
The people who do this work deserve so much credit. I have to confess to not always remembering that myself, and the pandemic has just increased the pressure on these professionals as well. This clinic has done a wonderful job in training and hiring good people who make anxious pet parents feel taken care of, despite all the pressures on them. Thank you from me and Yoyo.

My cat, who is very vet aggressive and has separation anxiety, had to stay at the Towson Pet ER for nearly two days. The team was so patient with him and tried their very best to keep him calm and comfortable.
They were very good with giving updates, even if I called in the middle of the day, or middle of the night. There was always someone, who knew the case, to talk to, and they never made me feel crazy for being so worried.
They are very aware that vet care is expensive and worked to keep the price down as much as possible.
It was a very stressful couple of days, but I am happy that we were transferred over to them. I definitely recommend Towson Pet ER to anyone looking for emergency care.
Allison Horn
We are so grateful to the wonderful team at the Pet ER. They took amazing care of our dog and kept us well informed throughout the journey. Truly a wonderful team, we are very lucky to have such a skilled, caring group of professionals here when we need them.

I had an unfortunate moment to need to take my 1 year old Yorkshire Terrier to the ER and our normal ER hospital was booked and we needed him to be seen A.S.A.P. I contacted Pet E.R. and was advised that I could bring my Yorkie in to be seen. My husband and I arrived and checked in, it wasn't long before nurses came out to get him and inquire the issue. A little while later we were escorted to a exam room to speak with the Dr. The doctor came in and explained her findings and gave me an option between medication or an x-ray. She was upfront with the price of the x-ray when asked and they didn't do any unnecessary things on him such as: IV's, unapproved testings or scans. It was all communicated with us so that we have the option of next steps and I appreciate them for doing that. I held my breath when I heard the balance of our visit and was able to breathe, because it didn't cost us an arm and a leg for this visit. I told my husband I do believe that in the future we will probably be using Pet E.R., because they are geographically convenient, but they are also not too bad on the pockets, at least for this visit, that is. Thank you to Dr. McElveen and staff for assisting us with our fur-baby and helping us get him back to his normal self.
Jesse Boucher
Excellent Staff! Took great care of our cat in his emergency situation when no other vet would see him. The staff communicated with us every step on procedures and recommendations and pricing. Very friendly staff and a very clean and welcoming office! Would recommend PetER Towson to anyone who needed somewhere to take their pet!

This is an excellent emergency hospital for pets. Service was quick, the employees were amazing with Snowy and communicated everything that they were going to do with her. Dr. Morgan Brems talked and treated Snowy like she was her own and was very friendly. You could tell she knew what she was doing when I asked certain questions about the risks, after care, and side effects my dog may experience as a result of a procedure. She also recommend Spaynow which is a affordable place to get your pet spayed which was VERY helpful since we were struggling to find a good spay clinic that didn’t expect you to pay $5-7 thousand. Will definitely come back if more problems occurred with my dog! 10/10!

I was so impressed and pleased with the level of skill and compassion shown to my pup and family in our worst moments. Dr. Miller and her team responded quickly, allowed us to comfort our dog in her moments of intense fear, and made us feel at ease with whatever decision we made. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Thank you for being there for us and other pets.

So thankful for everyone there. Most places had a long waiting time and couldn't see patients. (Got a call the morning after by a previous ER I had tried to go to saying they finally had an opening, it's that bad with some places) Pet ER was indeed busy but at least they were willing to look at my dog's vitals to make sure he was at least ok. They even did further blood work to check what was going on! Might have been a long wait but was worth it to make sure my guy was going to be ok. Everyone there was super nice the doctor was amazing! A tech even noticed my dog was anxious when separated from me and offered us a room and him a blanket which was super sweet of her. Towson Pet ER will now be my #1 go to for emergencies.
Melisa Mitchell
The folks at Pet+ER in Towson are knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to the well-being of everyone who comes through their doors, human and animal alike. They saved our cat’s life and were able to get much-needed testing done for our dog that allowed us to make important decisions about her healthcare. We are grateful to everyone there.

I was very concerned Papoo had recurrence of old problem partial R leg paralysis He previously had successful spinal surgery by Chesapeake neurologist. The staff were wonderful, thorough, kind and gave excellent advice. They were able to relieve pain with methadone and I am continuing conservative management at home and situation is under control.
I am very confident with your staff from my many encounters. Also staff were patient and explained situation extremely well. Many thanks

Great quality of care; however, i hadn't planned to pay $4500 as "deposit" before my puppy was even treated. Luckily i had it; however, please be aware that this facility gets their money upfront, based on their estimate...and that estimate could increase at anytime, and you will be expected to pay at once...
Erin O'Rourke
The wait may be long for some, but just know that the nurses' triage skills are top notch! My boy is happy and healthy after emergently inducing vomiting and saving him from a possible exploratory surgery. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable! Thank you for all you do!

My dog sliced open her side and we took her to Towson Pet-Er. They were wonderful talk to us about what needed to be done. Then kept us informed and update on her surgery. Very friendly and compassionate.

I have been there 2 times due to terminal pets. If you dislike these people it's only because you want more than is possible. If you are angry that you have to wait for your pets care than you are the problem sit down and let them do their job. YOUR PET IS WORTH IT They are the most loving caring knowledgeable persons there are. I am so thankful that they are there.God Bless and Thank You All

I was there the evening of Christmas Eve when most other animal hospitals were at capacity or closed. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They had a lot of compassion for both the animals and their owners. The staff members here are the absolute best.

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve had to say goodbye to our sweet baby Bean. When i got off work that day (i’m a vet tech myself) & got a call from my man that bean was seizing i had him bring her up to Eastern where she was then transferred to Pet ER. Dr. McKlveen was very kind and thorough as she could be during a confusing case & with everything else going on. I didn’t have much interactions with the techs but they were working their butts off. Reception was wonderful. I wish i could remember her name, she made the experience much lighter and i hope she knows that. She even called after we left to remind me of something we discussed while
i was there. Obviously emotions are high so this is such a stressful job to have from the front to the back. I appreciate everyone’s efforts & professionalism. it was extremely appreciated & you all displayed exactly the kind of care that people remember & cherish. Thank you all for what you do!
Linda McClease
As cost was not an object would have liked at least an estimate of what the possible charges would be to help me better decide the treatment I wanted for my dog
The staff was excellent very friendly and concerned about Clara Bow. They put me at ease letting me know the measure I took before I arrived help turn a possible grave situation into a positive outcome. Would go back and well tell my friends

We had a minor emergency compared to some. Our dog was having an allergic reaction, which was causing swelling around her left eye, forehead and snout. Fortunately not her airway. We were seen in a timely manner, triaged, treated and discharge in about an hour. That was ideal! Thank you to the staff!
Leif Blomster (Kerrigan)
Our dog was hit by a car and broke both of his front legs. The team at Towson pet ER were able to take him immediately and took such great care of him! He is now healing well! We are so thankful for everyone there!!!

Everyone at Pet ER and staff and doctors from the cardiac and neurology specialties took such great care of my baby girl and I can’t thank them enough!!!!
Kelli Mckeever
The entire team was professional and caring. The vet gave us detailed information about what they found and explained the alternatives for my cat's care. I would highly recommend them in an emergency situation.

My little fury son injured his left back leg while chasing 🐇. Took him to the PetEr and the entire Medical staff was caring, professional and knowledgeable. We will be returning in the future if we need the PetEr again and would recommend other pet parents to them. Thanks to the medical staff for their help. …

This place took care of my Little Timmy famously. They were not only compassionate, but upfront about everything they did. Every person we dealt this was friendly and caring. It was a expensive, but it’s an emergency vet. They are A+. Took care of the cat and supported us as well.

Awesome service and pleasant. Everyone I encountered was upbeat and helpful. Not one disgruntled employee they all treated my dog with care and she was very comfortable. The service was fast and direct I would highly recommend.

Sarah Miller, awesome Doc, wonderful associate, My story, my dog wasn't in for a life critical emergency but we were scared for our dog. They still found time to fit us in between critical care needs, and my Shepard (Pixie) is doing great we thank you all so much for your help that night.

My dog Sugar was found to be suffering from severe anemia and wasn’t eating; her vet advised I take her the the Towson PetER. It was a Friday night and there were many critical cases that had to be handled, but the staff made sure to give Sugar a blanket and water until the vet could see her. She received a blood transfusion and is feeling better now so we can proceed with the next steps for treatment that will require an oncology vet. Dr Calo who is an oncologist had been following Sugar at the PetER, but unfortunately he’s not there anymore and they don’t have an oncologist there in Towson right now. We are going to the Annapolis Chesapeake Atlantic oncology vet for further treatment. I hope that the Towson PetER finds a good oncologist to replace Dr Calo. It would make it more convenient for us since we live in Baltimore. The staff was wonderful and showed so much love and empathy for Sugar and me in that difficult situation.

I was very appreciative that we got taken in so quickly and the process was smooth. The pre registration was a little odd. It kept saying it was processing my form but never did on my side. We've had issues with Jotform before in my rescue so probably something worth looking into

The staff (front desk and tech) and doctor at Pet+ER at the Towson location were very pleasant and attentive to my concerns in regards to my dog's issue. Hopefully you will not need to do so, but I would definitely encourage anyone who is seeking emergency or urgent care services for their pet to visit the Pet+ER in Towson.
Monique Hayes
I must say that it took 26 hours before my dog could be seen. The staff was courteous and friendly. The doctor took the time to hear my concerns and offered guidance. Thank you all for everything!
Sarah Fernandez
My cat had to stay hospitalized here for almost a week because she was so critical. The doctors updated me frequently, everyone always answered all of my questions thoughtfully and my cat got plenty of love and attention from the staff.
Sarah Friedman
Friendly staff, took great care of Creasy from start to finish. Doctors were very knowledgeable. Took time to explain results and options.

Very helpful when our dog had a Seizure. Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep that day. Because of COVID-19, there were special distancing rules in place. The staff was caring enough to use a room I can view through the window from outside the building.
WARNING TO OWNERS: Pet+ER told us the cremation services would call us for our options. They do not call us, I repeat, the cremation service does not call you. You have to call them directly. I luckily called them in time the day she was going to be cremated. If you do not call them yourself you may just get the standard paw print and wooden urn.

Our vet and Local emergency vet referred our dog Sugar to the Towson ER last Monday. She was one sick little girl, upon arrival we were taken to an exam room right away. Dr. Lamare was so kind, caring, and compassionate while examining Sugar, explaining everything to us and then admitting her to critical care. He followed up with us after every test and allowed us to come as a family to visit daily. Sugar received phenomenal care both before and after her emergency surgery. The 4 days she spent there we had constant communication with Dr. Lin, Dr. Lamare, and Dr. Richardson as well Dr Shih in cardiology and our surgeon. All the techs and staff were so kind and caring to both Sugar and our family . We owe them all tremendous gratitude for saving our precious girl. Happily she is recovering now and doing terrific.

This place is amazing! I’m so thankful that they were able to help my fur baby! Everyone here genuinely cares about the animals and the owners. They were so helpful and did everything to find out what was wrong with my baby! Dr. Wolf was so gentle and kind. And went above and beyond to find out the mystery behind my baby’s issues. She didn’t just associate the symptoms with old age like most places would have. They really listened to all my concerns. Turns out she has hypothyroidism. The test results came back very quickly so we were able to treat her condition before it got worse. Thank you so much to all the staff here!

I had a wonderful experience at the Pet ER of Towson yesterday when I brought in my Rottweiler due to speculated neurological issues. I arrived and was immediately able to go into an exam room where the technician checked me in and assured me that crying over my baby was completely normal. The veterinarian was supremely wonderful and although she told me that she hadn’t really seen anything like it before, she was extremely helpful and willing to do as much research as possible before giving me a final answer. All of the staff I met were very kind and wanted to do everything to help me out. Definitely bringing my baby back here if I have another emergency!

I had to take my dog Cosmo to Pet ER for some health issues. Everyone was kind and caring. Everything was explained to me about My dogs treatment in great detail. Cosmo had to spend the day and I received phone calls updating me on everything that was happening. Luckily my pup came home later in the day with all info and meds to keep him healthy thanks to the amazing staff at Pet ER.

So I had two separate experiences at the Pedir with my dog Rosie. Although she died a week later, she got great care while she was there. The staff, including g the specialists (neurology) were kind and readily available to answer questions and provide updates. My Rosie had a very aggressive tumor that went to her brain and had no symptoms until she had a couple seizures. It was terrifying and everyone there was so attentive and although there was no good outcome in my situation, they left no stone unturned in figuring out what was wrong. Your ER is great and I hope I never see you again (😊❤️). Thanks for everything you did for my Rosie.

In may we visited for our 3 yr old dog Grizz. We were given bad news about his health and We had to make the horrible decision to let him go . The staff was all very kind and considerate of our feelings . Last night we returned with our 15 year Jasmine. It was time to let her go . I am so thankful to the staff and especially the vet . She sat and comforted not only our pet but us . She definitely helped in that moment and I am very appreciative. They whole staff was wonderful . Thank you

We took our puppy in who had fallen down the steps and fractured her front leg. The vets and technicians were so kind and truly concerned and caring. Everyone we encountered, front desk staff, techs and vets, couldn’t have been friendlier or more compassionate. The treatment was fast, and our baby emerged with a pink cast and her pain under control. I just can’t express my thanks enough to everyone at Pet ER in Towson!

We had a wonderful experience during a very traumatic time for us when our dog fractured his back leg. We were actually at an ER where we live in York but they were unable to do the surgery there. We were sent here because they had doctors that could do the surgery. The staff was very friendly, compassionate, informative and helpful! We were even able to visit our little guy during his time there. When I arrived to see him, it seemed pretty busy in the lobby. The staff member welcomed me and found a room for me to visit with him. Everyone was always friendly when I called for updates - they even sent me pictures of him. The vet who initially called me took the time to explain things and answers my questions. The surgeon was also great; he called several times to give me updates on my pup. I will definitely recommend your facility to others!

My dog has congestive heart failure and was struggling to breathe. I took him to the Pet ER and they stabilized overnight. I was able to bring him home the next day. Everyone there was caring and compassionate. Thank you too all!
Mia Valbracht
Efficient! Friendly, professional, and so sweet to our pittie boy. Lovely staff all around. Our pup ate a small toy on our road trip to Maine and we were able to get back on the road within 40 minutes knowing that our dog was safe and the toy was out. Conveniently located right off the interstate. Could not say more about everyone involved in his care. They really took control of the situation and made a stressful experience manageable. Thank you so much, Pet+ER!
Patricia Rawlins
Incredibly hard-working and caring staff. They helped us through a very challenging situation with our dog who means everything to us. We are so extremely appreciative to have this wonderful Hospital to care for our pets who are beloved family members. Such an Amazing asset for our community. Than you!!

I recently had a pet emergency in the middle of the night. The Pet ER was able to see my kitty at 2 am and worked quickly and efficiently. All of the staff was incredibly kind and patient. This emergency was 100% my fault, but I never received any judgement, only compassion and care. I would absolutely recommend them! They also consulted with the Animal Poison Control Center run by the SPCA to decide on the best course of treatment for my cat. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I understood my pet's treatment plan. I am so incredibly fortunate to be writing this review next to my kitty, who would not have survived without the excellent care she received at the Pet ER. Thank you Pet ER in Towson!!!
Lorena Aymacana
I rush my baby to the ER because of bloating and since they knew he had a heart issue they were very nice and rushed him to get crazy done and yes he needed surgery, everyone there was very sweet and also made an exception and let me go to the back with my baby Shadow and then to be with him for a little before surgery.
Luckily he made it and doctor explained everything to me, I got 2 calls daily from doctors to let me know how he was doing while recovering there.
I love this place even tho is 1 hr away from me is much better than those around my house, don’t need appointment or long waiting and everyone is so nice with him and with me.
I really recommend the ER if you need to take your babies.
kate pappas
I was so touched by the compassion shown to me and my very sick kitties by Dr. Vakil. I could see how busy the ER was and Dr. Vakil was patient and took time to explain things to me. I could see how sad she was delivering some bad news to me about my kitties. Her empathy and compassion meant a lot to me and I found her to be a very skilled veterinarian as well. The vet techs were incredibly helpful, kind, and compassionate as well. I hope I am remembering their names - thank you to Michelle, Jenni, and Holly. I was also impressed that Michelle came in with pamphlets and information about end of life care. She was like having a hospice nurse for my cats. Thank you for the skillful, kind care you gave to my cats. They are home and comfortable because of the meds they received while at the ER. Grateful to everyone that helped me and my precious cats.
d mangan
They are very caring they put the pets needs first before anything thanks to everyone that has help with him my dog rocky really appreciate everything they have done for him he's slowly recovering now to be back to himself agagin

Amazing experience. If you’re hesitant to go to a Pet Emergency, Pet ER will change your perspective. We’ve been twice, hardly ever a wait. The doctors and staff were extremely communicative when my dog ate something he shouldn’t have. I didn’t feel like they price gouged us at all, and felt my dog was 100% cared for. I called first and asked advice before coming and they didn’t make me feel like I was a burden. Truly kind, caring staff!
Jessica Hamberger
I can't express my gratitude enough for taking such wonderful care of my Oliver. Everyone from the front desk, the people who answered the phone when I called and the techs, doctors, even the person at discharge. The positivity I could feel on the other end of the line every time I spoke to someone speaks volumes in my opinion especially when your pet is ill. I think communication is key and everyone is spot on and helped ease my worries. I live about an hour away and hope I don't have to come back anytime soon but if my cats need care outside of my primary vet this is the place I will bring them. You all are so amazing I wish I could do more to let you all know that. Jessica H.
Reena Rexrode
Longtime animal person here and have had interactions with dozens of vets over the years, including several ERs. We had good experiences here over the last two years, even during the challenges of the pandemic.
All the vets have been kind and thorough, answering my questions and giving clear guidance. I’ve also had good communication with the front desk. The vets never pushed tests or treatments and allowed my desire for “less is more” in appropriate situations.
This week we dealt with a devastating IMHA diagnosis and when it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Johnson helped my best friend pass peacefully. She and the wonderful tech made a very painful moment into something special and beautiful for me, which I wasn’t expecting and I’m so grateful. Thank you.

I recently had to take my Savannah cat to the pet ER in Towson and they were extremely professional. I was so scared my little girl Mia wouldn't make it but when I came through the door they had four vet techs jump right on her and help. I can't give enough thanks to this place for saving my little Mia's life.
Virginia Lalmond
My experience went very well
I had a cat with a breathing problem and the they gave her some medication and recommended what to watch for when I took her home
This is an older cat and I find that knowledge I get helps me understand how to treat my cat at home to aid in her recovery
Very experienced. Staff- it helps to have people who are there on site when you need them
They also recommend follow up and write down on paper sone items you might not remember so you can refer to that document when you need to
Thanks for always being there

When our 9 year old cat was lethargic, we didn’t know what was wrong with her. We took her to PetER and they saw her right away. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and helped our cat with her obstipation. She is feel so much better, and I couldn’t thank them more.
mimi Kuyiawia
Can't thank them enough for the prompt attention they gave our fur babe when we thought he was having a stroke . Everyone was wonderful and very sweet thoughtful and caring . They took great care of our boy and we weren't charged an arm and a leg neither . It was very much afforable .
Laura Biggers
After being turned away by three other ERs at 2:00 in the morning. We drove to Towson and they took my dog back right away and examined him. He was having trouble breathing. They kept him for a day and a half. He's been doing well ever since. Everyone was attentive and kind.
Laura D Crowder
We felt that we and our family member were generally cared about and not treated as just numbers . Our approach to healthcare was respected and the services we received were rendered with skill and compassion

Katelyn is amazing . She saved my dogs life and my families hearts from shattering. Ms Katelyn from my family to you we are truly grateful for your kindness.

The quality of care was spot on. Team and doctors were kind and helpful. It’s an ER, so expect to wait. Lucky to have a resource like this when you need it.

Every staff member that assisted me was excellent. I would recommend pet/er to all my friends and relatives. I want to thank the entire staff. This location is the best .

All the staff were excellent and the doctor was so helpful and empathetic. It’s horrible to have to go to a vet ER but they definitely made it as easy as possible.
Formka Johnson
Pet+ER, took good care of my Coco and made her medical issue a priority. Thank you for the prompt and quality service.

This place did justice for my 8 month old kitten when no other vet seemed to do so. My 8 month kitten suddenly became very ill, out of no where. I took him to two other vets, all they did for me was drain my pockets and tell me to call them back the next morning. There would be no next morning, he wasn’t going to make it through the night. I was sent home and told twice that they were get back to me about blood work as they had found fluid in my kittens lungs and surrounding his heart. As soon as this Pet Er saw my baby, they knew they needed to get him in right then and there. For the first time, I saw people that actually were in it for the love of the animal. They took him and let us jump the wait line. After this, I witnessed my little guy get the best possible care he could have. It was too late, however, they made his last moments of life so comfortable. Right away the doctor new it was FIP. The compassion, kindness, empathy, and respect this place has is truly heart warming. Every.single.staff. Member was truly concerned about our Baby Franks needs and our own. They let us say bye in the pandemic, and in addition to this I was able to go in with Frank the entire time he was inside their ER, unlike any other vet. In addition to this, the kind staff at this place took the time to write me a card and it was signed by all staff members AND they sent me a paw print memorial of my Kitten that I will have forever. Thank you guys for being such an awesome place and truly caring about the animals. You guys are the best and I will forever recommend you guys to anyone with an emergency! Helped me through the hardest night of my life!
Amy Louttit
Nothing like needing a kitty ER at midnight!! Everyone there was really great with us, we felt informed the whole way through...although we were relieved to leave and so was our cat ;)
Afia Fields
Most of the staff is friendly. They get straight to the point of payment first , care later . They took my dog back pretty fast but after paying and being told my dog was discharging it took them a little over an hr. To bring my dog out - which kinda makes me think they didn’t care for her until they received my payment Forsure…anyway it was a emergency I needed the help , they solved my problem. I’ll probably go back if I have another emergency.
Kaitlyn Thomas
I could go on and on about how amazing they were at the Pet ER in Towson. My dog had two surgeries there and numerous days of inpatient recovery. They took care of my dog like he was their own, constantly communicated how he was recovering, and overall very empathetic to a very difficult time. Special shout out to Dr. Brems for just being absolutely incredible during the entire experience
10/10 recommend.
Jenny Sorel
The staff was kind and professional. There were a lot of pets w/ critical conditions the evening I was there, so I was able to leave my dog, return home, and then go back later (five hours later) to pick her up. Even at 11:30 at night, the staff was still kind and caring.
Tracia Sherman
After trying 3 other ERs with zero luck. PET+ER saw and took care of my girl. Put a nervous pet mom at ease.
Monica Aversa
My pet and I had a very long wait. However, it was due to a lot of more severe emergencies that were coming in constantly. I could hear them being called over the loudspeaker. we were constantly being updated by the front desk about the wait. Prior to the vet seeing my 15 year old dog, they were very helpful and cut his matted hair. I had been unable to find someone to do it due to Covid. I was able to get antibiotics, medication to keep him comfortable and eyedrops. They sent us home with my pet feeling much better. A referral was given and several other options for treatment of my dogs severe eye issue. I would recommend pet ER to anyone Who has a pet with an emergency.

I was visiting my mom when my dog got into a box of chocolates. I brought him here for emergency care and the entire staff was friendly, informative and responsive. I was very pleased with the care provided and the cost was within reason. My dog remains happy and healthy. My only complaint was the long wait, but that is out of their control.
Kristian Maleev
Everyone was extremely helpful but the girls at the front desk are truly amazing!! From start to finish they were so attentive because even though I came to the ER for my cat, I was emotionally out of my mind and they understood crying talk lol. And when it was one girl at the desk and a new hire, I saw she was so professional and literally doing all that she could to help during their rush. She really worked the counter while making sure I knew what was happening while I waited for my cat. But honestly there were so many moments that mattered from the woman from Ireland that checked me in and helped along the way and the doctor. I was emotional as I mentioned but otherwise would have remembered names. Thank you guys!

I just wanted to say that everyone including front desk staff, vet technicians, and doctors treated me and my dog so well here.
My 10 year old dog Rooney came in on a Friday morning with mysteriously and dangerously decreasing red blood cell count. She was admitted immediately, given thorough ultrasound and supportive care. She was diagnosed with IMHA (immune mediated hemolytic anemia) by the next morning as her red blood cell count was continuing to drop. Time was of the essence and Dr. Lamare put her on the necessary medications immediately to give her a fighting chance. Throughout the whole weekend as we were waiting to see if medications would work - Dr. Lamare communicated her progress amazingly and I truly feel like everyone here saved her life.
After a touch and go weekend - her red blood cell count began to go up and by Sunday evening she was stabilized enough to come home. Dr. Miller discharged her and has seen her multiple times for blood checks in the following weeks - very caring and helpful for my peace of mind and following up on my dogs progress.
I really can’t say enough good things and everytime I called to check on my dog (which I did nearly every couple of hours for the weekend) - staff let me know how she was doing in a kind manner.
Today, three weeks later, Rooney is making great strides and her red blood cell count continues to rise each week. Im so grateful to Dr. Lamare, Dr. Miller, the sweet vet techs, and understanding front desk staff. I feel without you guys, my dog wouldn’t be home getting a second shot to enjoy the rest of her years.
Thank you and don’t hesitate to trust PEt ER Towson with your babies.

Exactly what I wanted in a Pet ER experience. After completing her intake form, we waited about half an hour in the car until the nurse came out. The nurse was excellent. She was kind, sweet, and really put us all at ease. My husband was impressed with her seemingly easy ability to get my 50 pound basset mix out of the car without putting pressure on her abdomen.
The doctor was out quickly after with news we weren't expecting. Our options were clear and they communicated prices, risks, life expectancy, and more in just a few minutes. Again, exactly what we wanted in a doctor. She talked about the number of times she has performed the procedure, and while she didn't sugar coat the seriousness of the situation, she did have a few anecdotes to give us hope.
We were able to see her before she went into surgery, and they were kind and patient with us (a couple with no kids). Then they sent us home, but every time I called they again were patient and answered all my questions. The doctor called to give me an update after surgery and before she left her shift, and the second doctor called in the afternoon to talk about how my dog had been doing that afternoon. We were able to run some food up to her because she wasn't easting, and then were surprised to learn she was ready to come home.
In one of the most stressful weekends ever, Towson Pet ET really came through for us and made it clear on how to proceed. Thank you so much, ladies and Thor!

I highly recommend Pet+ER in Towson. Our dog Blue just came home last night from having surgery due to a blockage in his intestines. Every single staff member was amazing! We were always kept up to date with any information they had and they took wonderful care of our boy during his stay. Thank you all for the exceptional care you gave him and we are so happy to have our baby back home 💙

My wife and I took our cat (Isabelle) in after she began screaming in pain. We were greeted in the parking lot by a sincerely caring technician who swept our cat away for evaluation. Dr. Davis was working that night and was able to make a diagnosis. She was friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable. They kept Isabelle overnight for observation and treatment. The following day, Dr. Richardson called us multiple times with updates and information. Dr. Richardson was also extremely kind and caring and was able to suggest treatment options. Ultimately we took Isabelle home and we are currently enjoying some of our last days with our baby. It is refreshing to know that if we have another emergency, there will be someone available to help. Thank you all so much for the kindness and care you showed to both us and our cat.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff was extremely sweet and took the time to explain things to us and definitely helped our boy get better!!! Thanks so much!!!
Amanda Kirby
My 10 month old cat was nausous, vomiting, having diarrhea, and just laying on the floor lethargic. She wasn't eating or drinking. We called the vet and they said take her to the hospital. She was triage and found her temp was 104.. She was then seen right away! We were going to take her home 30 min later with her getting fluid and anti nausea meds but they checked her temp and her fever jumped to 106. They kept her overnight. She got iv abx, antienemics, blood work. Wbc were elevated so they think viral infection but temp went down and she got to come home!! They kept us updated all the way. Their bedside manor was amazing. They answered any and all questions we had. Every member of staff was caring and pleasant.
I suggest everyone get pet insurance. Its a hospital.. its going to be expensive. They worked with me though and overall im sure it could have cost more. I was even reimbursed 80$.. so that was nice.
After my experience i trust them with a member of my family. Cersei, my cat, is happy, healthy, and enjoying life again because of Pet+E.R.

We brought our dog in last- she was having a severe allergic reaction to something and her symptoms were escalating quickly. I knew we would have a wait (Friday night after 8 p.m. and while our dog was uncomfortable she wasn't critical)- they were so great about updating us & when she was seen the vet & support staff were all really, really kind. It was clear that they see many people and their pets at some of the most distressing times in their lives and the outcome isn't always sunny. It's also clear that the staff is committed to providing the best care & advice possible- and I really appreciate them. Thank you!
Kris Green
My Lillie was very well taken care of. The facility is very clean and the staff is AMAZING!!
Brianna Hamburg
My little boy (Bolt) had to be hospitalized here a few days ago and I can’t say enough good things about them! Doctors Miller & Lamare were absolutely wonderful.. They followed up with me on Bolts progress throughout the entire way and were extremely patient with me as I was a mess and crying (Bolts a mommas boy). I feel that he got the absolute best care here and it made me feel at ease! Everyone else that I came in contact with were wonderful as well when I came to visit him. He is now at home and recovering well. I would highly recommend this ER to anyone that has animals with medical emergencies. 10/10. Thanks for being awesome!
Rachel Osten
We had to take our pooch here for some care after an accident. They were very attentive and gave our doggo the love and attention he deserved.
Alicia Green
I brought my cat in one night because she had a bad UTI and couldn't wait for a vet opening. They warned me that they were extremely busy but we're able to bring her back within half an hour. They kept me updated throughput the wait so I never felt forgotten. Everyone was professional and helpful.
Marianne Edwards
We had a wonderful experience with PetEr. They acted quickly and professionally and helped ease many fears we had surrounding our 7month old puppy’s emergency. I’m hoping we never need emergent vet care again, but if we do, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Parker Sutton
When our vet couldn't see us and our dog's eye was swollen almost shut, PetER took care of her. We couldn't go inside, so I don't know what it was like for Misia. We are very happy that she is now completely recovered.
Kate Barkhurst
I brought my cat here after he experienced a suspected blood clot at the urging of his usual vet. He wasn't breathing when he arrived and the staff and doctors jumped into action to attempt to resuscitate him. Unfortunately he didn't make it but I was very satisfied with the effort of the doctors as well as the compassion I received after realizing he had died. I had an issue with the spelling of his name on the urn from the cremation service, but the front desk staff was very helpful and warm in resolving the issue for me. I even received a sympathy card with multiple notes from the staff which was very much unexpected but so greatly appreciated.
Heidi Tribble
We needed an end of life service. Many had 6 plus hours of wait time. This was our first time at this facility. We where given a 2 to 4 hour wait. We arrived and told them what we needed. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes. The staff was very sympathetic and patient. They knew this was a hard but necessary decision for our girl. They even cried with us. They were really compassionate.. Awesome!

Topic: A thank you for your kindness, compassion and tenderness during our time of need
Dear Pet ER Doctors and Staff,
For those of you working the night of Thursday January 20, 2022 at 2:45am, we would like to express our deepest thanks for the efforts you expended to try and save our Ellie’s life and the compassion and tenderness you exhibited towards Peg and I as we were told she had passed away.
Sadly, we don’t know any of your names, and we can’t thank you in person, but rest assured, you have a place in our hearts, and that we appreciated the kindness, compassion and tenderness you exhibited to us as we lost our best friend of 10 years. For that we would like to express our deepest and most sincere appreciation.
On Thursday January 20, 2022 at 2:45am, Peg and I brought our most precious friend to you for help. Ellie was our 10-year-old miniature Schnauzer, our friend and our companion that we had the privilege of taking care of since she was a puppy. When we arrived at the PET ER, she had stopped breathing. You rushed her inside making sure we were with you while you tried to resuscitate her. However, God had different plans and she left us to join him that cold and dark night.
The PET ER staff’s compassion towards us after she died was pure kindness that we will never be able to repay. You placed Ellie in a blanket and let us take as much time as we needed to say goodbye. After 10 years together, we had many stories to tell Ellie and re-live some exciting adventures. We will always be grateful to all of you allowing us that time to say goodbye to our dearest friend.
We felt that each of you shared our loss. The compassion you exhibited toward us will help us to begin that long healing journey. Ellie taught us many things, to embrace the simple things in life and to appreciate the kindness and beauty of others. Your kindness and compassion helped our emotional needs. Perhaps someday, we will consider finding another companion, and we will tell him/her about our Ellie..time will tell…
So once again, Peg and I would like to express our deepest thanks to all of you for taking care of Ellie that night, and taking care of us….
There is no greater love……
Sincerely,
John and Peg

I recently brought my cat to the Towson Pet ER in panic because he had fallen so ill. At 3am after taking my call and hearing the symptoms they encouraged me to bring him in immediately. They did what they could for my life companion of over 12 years. Sadly, he went to rest for the final time around 4:30am. Having been in the room when our family dog passed many years ago (different place and Dr), I was terrified it would be the same nightmare situation. However, the employees at this facility were incredibly empathetic and professional. They helped my cat pass peacefully and ended his suffering from long term problems. As gut wrenching as it was to lose my partner, I had the consolation of knowing his final moments were handled well and I was able to be with him. Just as I will never forget my Boba kitty, I will never forget the compassion employees showed both my cat and myself. I will be eternally grateful. Your pet will be in the best of hands at this Pet ER.

All personnel prompt, polite, and caring. We were very impressed that the doctors themselves called with updates. Our little dog was a stray, a real road warrior, before being rescued, and gets aggressive in strange situations, especially when in pain and frightened. All personnel treated him with patience and kindness. He came in with paralyzed rear legs, had surgery, and was walking by the next morning; in my opinion, you are miracle workers!

got the upmost quality of care for my cat at this vet. i took my cat to a vet prior to coming here and felt like they failed us in diagnosing what the issue was going on in his mouth (which they said they’d refer me to a specialist but never did). Pet+ER was able to do the evaluation and the required surgical procedure on the same day. they mentioned how much of a sweet cat he is and i could tell how much they loved him and took great care of him as if he was their own, which is important to every pet owner. lastly, i was impressed with how they handle their COVID precaution procedures in making sure guests and staff are safe by having a car pickup/drop off system.

Our dog had been having difficulty walking for two days; on Saturday, we took him to a local (Harrisburg) Vet ER, where they examined him and took xrays. They said he was tender in the lower back and they though it was a muscle strain. They did not seem to focus too much on his difficulty walking and dragging his left rear leg. They sent us home with pain meds, muscle relaxant, and gabapentin, told us to see our regular vet if he wasn't better in 5 days. The following morning, he was completely paralyzed in his lower legs, unable to stand or walk. We brought him to Chesapeake. Dr. Miller in the ER examined him thoroughly and said the most likely diagnosis was herniated disk pressing on the spinal cord. She gave us much information about what his prognosis might be, based on her thorough neurological exam. The following day he was transferred to Neurology, had an MRI, and underwent emergency surgery for a herniated disk with severe spinal cord compression. Due to Dr. Miller's thorough and quick evaluation, he was up and walking the morning after surgery and we were able to bring him home that day! I cannot overstate how pleased we are with the care he received, both from Dr. Miller and the nurses and technicians. He was frightened and in pain, and acted aggressively and resisted efforts to help him. but everyone treated him with kindness and patience. You gave us our happy, active little dog back, in record time! Thank you!

Staff was pleasant. The doctors were very kind and informative. The amount of time I waited( am waiting) is ridiculous. Came at 11:30 last night Dog was bleeding heavily from the rectum. Was not seen until 1:30. He spent the night. When I talked to doctor the next day he said to pick him up around 7. I got here a little after 7. It is now 10:47, I have paid ( finally) but have been told there are three pets to be discharged before him. I just want someone to bring him out so I can put him on his leash And take him home. This is unacceptable. These people are totally overworked or totally disorganized!!

The staff here made a very difficult situation much more bearable! They took great care of my kitty while he awaited surgery.

Everyone at the pet ER is amazing. The front desk is very knowledgable and kind. The techs and doctors are amazing at what they do and you can tell they take their job seriously. the CVCA and CVSS staff are just as amazing. The specialists are very intelligent and explain everything clearly. I know when my dogs are there they are being taken care of.

I called this group because my vet was closed on Sunday. They had us call coming up the hill and had a crew waiting for us at the door upon arrival. My baby was taken immediately. I lost my 15 year old companion/child last Sunday 7/17/21. After much information and consideration I realized It was his time. I cannot say enough about these very compassionate strangers who were with me in one of the worst times in my life. From the receptionist, to the techs, to the doctor. Just awesome, empathetic and compassionate people through those final hours. I cannot thank you all enough for your time, your hugs, and the gentle care of my passing baby. I wish I could call you all out by name and I do apologize as it was an agonizing few hours and my heart was and still is completely broken. If you have a feeling your pet my be approaching their passing, this is a group that can help ease both you and your pet through it. I cannot say thank you enough. Take care and the biggest of hugs to you all.

My cat had a cist on her face that popped (nasty I know) this place was accommodating and was a fast visit. Also they gave my cat antibiotics and even followed up. This place far exceeded all expectations and I willl return again if needed unlike an awful place off falls road that I am/not name dropping. Pet+ER was great and I recommend them to anyone.

We brought in our dog after calling multiple other places. We got in right away, the wait was minimal. The staff was so nice and professional. We were really impressed and thank them for caring so much!

Excellent care given to my cat, Olivia. The entire staff responded to a (very early morning) crisis with urgency, professional, and care - all led by an amazing doctor! Thanks you PetER-Towson!

They were great for the most part. I only wish I woulda been able to come in initially with my dog Kane. But during these time’s I understand. I was allowed to visit while he was admitted. They set me up with outpatient therapy after 3 days of stay in the hospital. I was upset that they sent an infectious disease test out and when the results came in no one had called me and told me the results. I had to call myself and ask about the test results, which ended up coming back positive in regards to a certain infection/virus. I was surprised to see that the diagnosis of my primary care vet was very different then their diagnosis. Other then that they were awesome. The staff was very responsive and while my dog was admitted they gave me two or three phone calls a day to update me on his status. Thank you Dr. Richardson and Dr Rawdon as well as other staff who assisted during this time.

I took my cat here for emergency euthanasia - I had planned to do it at my regular vet, but he got really bad over the weekend and I didn't want to make him suffer for two more days. We were seen really fast, and the staff were definitely kind and humane, but there were a couple of things about our visit that left a bad taste in my mouth.
The first was, they used sales tactics to market us expensive pet cremation packages. What I mean is, these packages were presented to us first and all the details of them laid out before we could even say we did or didn't want them. They didn't even tell me the price for standard euthanasia until I said we didn't want the packages and we'd be taking him home with us. It felt like they were trying to sell us on a product at a very vulnerable time.
The second thing that happened is there was some confusion/miscommunication in which they told us we couldn't be with our cat during the euthanasia. This caused me some very real and acute distress. They did let us spend some time with him alone in a room, and then they took him away. We waited alone in a room for about ten minuets until a tech came back and said there a mix up, and did we want to be with him when we passed? YES. So they brought him back in and asked if we wanted to spend more time with him - by this point with all the confusion I'd already said my goodbyes TWICE and I was emotionally exhausted.
At least we could be with him, and the doc was very kind, but we left pretty upset by the whole fiasco. I don't think I'll be back if I can help it.

They are amazing. Fast and humane service. I parked outside due to the pandemic, called the front desk who came right away to my rescue (actually it was for cat's rescue), who was blocked and needed immediate care. The doctor, Dr. Lyn called my phone several times to give me updates on his condition, and learning that I was not able to afford an emergency surgery, she went above and beyond to help me and treated him anyways and found a place for me to do which was more affordable. We left the ER and went straight to the Emergency Animal Hospital. At the time that I called the place to say that I was coming over, they said that the staff of the Pet+ER, had already contacted them and sent all the records of my cat to them. My cat had the surgery yesterday and I just picked him up from his over night stay at the other place. Dr. Lyn and the staff were amazing, and helpful, resourceful and again, very kind and humane. Thank you very much for all you did for us yesterday. Ingrid and Ramen (the cat).

My dog, Lillie, was admitted to the Pet ER following surgery for lung cancer. The doctors and staff were kind and caring and gave Lillie great care. I liked receiving the twice daily phone calls with updates on Lillie's status and care; the more information the better, in my opinion. I was a little surprised on how long it took for Lillie to be admitted once we drove up, especially since my vet had contacted Pet ER before our arrival. It's possible they were really backed up and would like to have known what the delay was or if this was routine. Lillie herself had a bit of a wait to be examined by a doctor once inside; I wasn't crazy about that either. Finally, while I was still in the car waiting after Lillie had gone inside, I asked if I could use the restroom. I was told no and given instructions what to do when I returned. I am well aware of Covid precautions taken everywhere but was unhappy I wasn't able to use the restroom. Even so, I am very positive about the Pet ER and think they do a great job and provide a tremendous service to the community

They took very good care of my cat Charlie. I was kept in the loop about his care the entire process. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Definitely pleased with my visit. My pup was at the wrong place at the wrong time and had something fall on his head. I called them and explained his symptoms, without question of billing or anything they allowed me to walk him back, talk to the doctor right away and they instantly checked him. They called me to go over options for his treatment and had him back to normal in no time! York wait was 6-7 hours. We had to wait a little but it’s an emergency hospital, they did the best they could to get us home and the doctor kept apologizing. My biggest issue with York was they needed $800 down before touching my dog(previous experience) as her temp was 105 and still going up. Pet+ER proved that they care more about my pets well being then the bill!

I’ll be editing this review after a few days when I’m in a better state to articulate what a blessing this place is. Every single person on the staff last night was empathetic and just wonderful. Legitimately everyone. A vet (Dr Miller)that stays hours after her shift (1am was shift change) to help us through such a difficult time. We humbly thank you all. Bruce I’m sure does as well.

We have taken our dogs to Pet ER a number of times over the past 10 years and they are outstanding. Every single staff member from the front desk to triage nurse to vets, was knowledgeable and friendly. They all seem to really like working there. They didn’t always have good news for us but they were very kind and compassionate and very patient in answering our questions to make the right choice for our dogs. They gave us options and never tried to push unnecessary tests. We trust them 100%.

Last night we had to put our beloved cat Lily down. She had succumbed to a medical emergency after a long illness and we needed quick action to end her suffering. Our regular vet was too busy to see us and two others turned us away before Pet+ER of Towson accepted us immediately in our time of terrible need.
All the staff from the front office and techs to the vet were compassionate and took the time to listen to us and explain everything. I know they were super busy too. But it didn’t feel that way to us. They took their time and had real empathy for us. I can’t thank Pet+ER of Towson enough for their kind hearted professionalism. Bless you all.

The entire staff and doctor were amazing to me and my dog. I ended up having to put her to sleep, and on the most horrible day, everyone at pet er was so caring and compassionate. I highly recommend them. Thanks to everyone there for making me feel like family.

When we found our cat Callie unconscious on the floor late on a Sunday night we rushed to PET ER in Towson. We had never used them before but I had seen the sign on 695 for years and that was my first thought to rush her. We called ahead and they had a team ready to intake her as soon as we pulled up. Unfortunately Callie died of a major heart event and there was nothing they could do for her but we left feeling that they did everything they could and comforted us during an unexpected tragic event.
The cost for everything and the cremation were very reasonable and we were impressed by the quality of the urn and footprint molds we purchased. A few weeks later we received a heartfelt letter from doctor Wong and the employees that we dealt with that night and it wasn’t the generic “sorry for your loss” comments, it seemed like they really put effort into what they wrote and it helped bring us closure for what happened. We understand they have an incredibly difficult job where a lot of cases don’t go the way pet owners want and people need to remember they are an Emergency Room when reading reviews . PET ER does the best a business can do to help you through a tragic event. We will always be grateful for their help that night and if we ever needed another emergency service we wouldn’t hesitate to bring a pet back to them. Thank you for all you do

First experience with this Pet ER and very impressed with the services they provided. My dog has cardiac disease and was having problems breathing. He was taken to the oxygen cage immediately and I was so pleased with the advice of Dr. Vakil and her staff not to mention my dog, Mikey is doing so much better!!!!
Laura Steakin
Very pleased with the care our dog received from Dr Hershner and staff. Communication was frequent and I was given time to ask any and all questions. Our dog had emergency abdominal surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

I glad I was able to fit my toy poodle to get check out and ultimately have surgery done at Towson ER. Very professional, friendly and welcoming staff. They always picked up to answer questions and the Veterinarians were straight with there diagnosis and opinions. Great ER Vet ER clinic.

I brought my cat here and received excellent service. There was someone that took my cat immediately and she was seen by the doctor on duty soon after. The doctor was transparent with her treatment and took her time to make sure we understood our options. I hope I never have another emergency, but I’d come back if I needed.

The pet+ER I recommend 100 % to everyone they are so sweet and friendly. Also they actually care about your pet !

My 11 year old dog passed away almost a month ago at the Pet ER of Towson. The 7 women (techs and doctor) who tried to save my dog's life went above and beyond, they made a traumatic situation much better than it could have been. I am not sure how they do the job they do but they are angels on earth. And to the gentleman who walked me through everything I thank you for your sweetness and understanding. I did not want to be alone and you let me stay in the hospital room with my dog for as long as I needed, while you were all in the room. I think about you all every day and want to thank you.
gishagrlmo mt
The staff understood my situation without me having to say anything. My baby who is usually fussy with strangers went without one protest. They helped me get the answer about her age and didn’t charge me for things I couldn’t afford or immediately need. For prince and care you should go here

Our cat Gemma was diagnosed with diabetes this past year and has had to go to Pet ER in Towson twice for complications related to diabetes. The exceptional veterinary care provided to our cat has saved her life. We are very grateful to have sent her into their care. We were given updates on her throughout her stay on her progress. Dr. Hershner, Dr. Richardson, Dr. Hopkins, Dr. Lin, vet nurses, and front desk admitting...thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Emily Williams
I always know if I have to take my pup here, while it's always a stressful situation, the staff and doctors here do everything they can to make it less stressful. The doctors really know what they're doing and they did an excellent job with my pups surgery. I will always go here!
Nick Davis
The service and compassion from this Pet ER is amazing, we brought our cat in after she was hit by a car, while her injuries were too extensive to save her, they relieved her pain, gave me a breakdown of what could be done and recommendations. Sadly, we had to make that hard decision all pet owners have to make, but their compassion and handling of what is a difficult moment was outstanding. Thank you for easing the passing of our Danni and for being that moment of humanity we needed.
Thank you.
Whitney LeGrand
I visited for the first time on 8/29 for the sudden loss of my cat Meatball. This was completely unexpected and I was very nervous because I had never been here and I was trusting a new place with my little Meaty. I just received a very sweet card that had hand written notes from the staff. I was also very happy to pick up my sweet boy this past week as well. ( I was worried only because I had a bad experience with a Vet Clinic - shall not be named) Thank you to the kind staff for everything. <3
Amanda Morine
I took my dog here after some odd behavior after a walk. It turned out to be probable arthritis pain. We were seen promptly and informed by the vet what was going on within a half an hour. The issue I have is with the discharge process. It took well over 1.5 hrs from the time I spoke with the vet to the time he was discharged. If they were busy I would understand but there were no more than 5 cars in the parking lot. I also saw a client leave who had checked his dog in well after mine. If there’s no need to hold my dog in a kennel for an extended period of time, don’t!
Christine Gower
This place is amazing! Extremely supportive and they really go out of there way to make your dog feel comfortable/safe. The receptionists are fantastic and they have amazing skills. The vet techs are extremely affectionate towards the animal and treat them like their own. The doctor was fantastic and extremely diligent. Highly recommend, this is the best place to take your pet in an emergency. I will never take me dog anywhere else! Apollo is super happy with the care that he received!
Ian Lurie
Very helpful. Our dog was having back problems and was in a lot of pain, we were able to bring her right over and have her seen. The staff was kind and helpful and really helped us feel at ease. My dog received excellent care and a treatment plan that will help her be much happier and healthier in the future. We cannot thank the Pet ER and their staff enough.

We came in with a very hurt little pup and they took him within minutes. He had to stay with them for a few days while we tried to get a surgeon in to repair his leg. They have been very caring and I know my fur baby was in good hands. They communicated to me 2-3 times a day on his well being and kept him as pain free as possible. They answered all questions I threw at them with only complete understanding. They even made the transition to the surgery care very simple, after all we had enough to deal with… the only things I can, as of right now, comment on are somewhat out of their hands… still some covid restrictions in place, so we couldn’t visit him (we miss him terribly) and the cost- Yikes! (So far, over $2000) but all that being said id pay everything I have to keep him pain free and happy!! Thank you Towson ER Team!
Renee Wilson
Thank you Pet+ER.
I've been here twice this year.
First my dog became suddenly ill, vomiting blood. They took her immediately, and came in with options--yes, they presented me with the cost of each option--yes, the cost. This is not a free clinic and I am wondering about why people are so shocked at the price tag. This is an emergency pet ER. We were given an estimate of many thousands of dollars to keep her there for a few nights, but the price was too high for me. We discussed options, and what we should treat immediately and what I could manage with our regular vet. There was no pressure, only compassion. It was touch and go for dog for a few weeks, but I think the treatments she received at the Pet+ER saved her.
Second, our old cat became suddenly ill, and I knew his time was up. We opted to bring him to the Pet+ER, calling ahead to let them know we were coming in for euthanasia. Once we went in I was asked a little about his history, but told the vet he was at his end and we were there to help him along the way. They were so sweet with him, each person touched him with loving hands, and wrapped him in a soft blanket and cuddled him when they moved him.
Yes, they are expensive. Vets are trained to save lives, but I felt that with both my pets they worked with me every step of the way, and I never felt judged.
God forbid one of my pets gets sick again, but if they do, we'll be back at the Pet+ER.
Caleb Raymer
Had to bring our dog in with serious breathing problems. Between COVID and other higher priority ER patients, there was a wait of an hour or so, but I never felt dismissed. Staff was easy to contact with updates, and called me each time they had more info. The outcome was unfortunately terminal cancer, but staff was compassionate and supportive. They also provided multiple end of life options.
Medical costs were reasonable for a 24 hour ER service.
I recommend this facility for complex and ER vet services.

We had a fantastic experience with DVM Hopkins and support staff. Ms. Hopkins was clear, concise, and spent a lot of time explaining the issues going on with our puppy Luna including her differential, action steps, and plan for treatment. We highly recommend and appreciate all of the hard working people at Pet+ER.

I had to make the most difficult decision a companion of the fur beasts has to do last week after my 21-year old cat was no longer able to support herself or eat/drink. I rushed her to Pet+ER, and the staff were compassionate and understanding as I had to make that horrible final choice to release my beloved pet from suffering. They allowed me to cuddle my fur baby in private until I and she were ready, and when they came in, her end was peaceful and respectful of her dignity. The little poofball who picked me out 21 years ago quietly fell asleep in my arms, and then left me forever. She had no pain or fear at the end and as horrible as it was to lose her, I know we made the right decision. I can't say enough good things about the care team - the day I had dreaded would have been a million times worse if it were not for them and I honestly thank them for helping me get through this decision.

If you want the best available care in the area, this is where to go. If you are looking to bargain shop for your pet's medical care, pick somewhere else. The teams of specialists they have access to through CVRC is what really separates this place from the others.
After a completely botched diagnosis at another local 24 hour Vet Hospital, where my cat with advanced heart disease was given subcutaneous fluids and sent home to basically go into full blown heart failure, the amazing people at this hospital literally saved his life. I was kept up to date through his 3 days there, both good and bad, from the ER team as well as his cardiologist, and have nothing but praise for every person I dealt with. I wish I had gone there first...
Specialized medical care isn't cheap, and some may have to make heartbreaking decisions about what they can afford in terms of pet care, but at least here you will KNOW what is going on, and can make a decision with full information.
My little buddy is back home with me living his best life because of these people. I give them my full, unqualified recommendation.

I have brought my pets to this Pet+ER several times now. The staff has always been courteous, professional and compassionate. Recently, my cat became suddenly very ill. I took him to the Pet+ER in the middle of the night, and he passed away. I was so distraught, and I was barely operating through a fog of grief, but the Pet+ER staff were incredible. Afterwards, the next day, I received a very kind sympathy card signed by the entire night shift who took care of us! I was blown away and sobbing all over again. However, I was greatly touched by their gesture. This is not the most affordable place, but the services here are consistent, staff are kind, and processes are efficient during a highly tumultuous situation. Highly recommended.

All of the staff were great when we took our 5-month old kitten in. She had an infection of "something" she ingested. Fortunately, it turned out that whatever it was passed and did not require hospitalization overnight. Very efficient and friendly vet and staff. They showed a lot of compassion. The only "complaint" I have is that I specifically requested she not be fed any food with a particular meat product in it. And was assured they would not. Upon discharge, we were given the same food she ate to take with us. When I looked at the ingredients, the 2nd ingredient consisted of the meat product we did not want her to eat.

I love this place the people there are absolute angels. They kept me informed of everything that was gone on they did their best to help me out without overcharging me this place is a true blessing
Katie Dexter
My dog came in critically ill and the staff was incredible. I know things are more challenging during COVID but the phones are answered promptly and I was able to easily check in and talk to the doctors that were treating my dog.
They explained all of the options and helped us to understand what was possible and if realistically my dog who was elderly could get through.
Ultimately we had to make the awful decision of ending treatment. The Doctors and staff were extremely compassionate and understanding of how difficult decisions like this are. We were lucky to work with Dr. Ogg and I felt her guidance throughout was very helpful. She was extremely warm and compassionate and I truly could not say enough kind things. Sometimes at the dog ERs you run into extremely clinical vets and this was not the case here. I think the vets here truly care about animals well being and it shows.

The day before Memorial Day my 12 yr old miniature poodle, Toodles, experienced a horrible seizure lasting over 30 mins. We raced him to the Pet ER and I was extremely anxious. Dr.Ogg and her team immediately took him back to start getting the seizure under control which she did. There's not a doubt in my mind Dr.Ogg and the techs saved my dog's life for which I'm eternally grateful. Toodles spent the next few days in the Pet ER and had a few more seizures later the next day but they were caught quickly and controlled. He continued to improve. Chesapeake Veterinary neurologists were consulting with the Pet ER at this point too as he needed an MRI to determine the cause of the seizure and I had chosen to move forward with the consultation (Chesapeake Veterinary are a separate entity but at the same location) Once meds were adjusted, Toodles did not have any more seizures. Sadly, when Toodles transfered to Chesapeake Veterinary on the Wednesday of that wk his MRI showed he had a brain tumour that was untreatable as the neurologist said there were signs it had spread in the brain and that his time was limited. I was devastated and chose to bring him home and despite everything he is doing amazingly well and still with me 6 wks later. He's on 2 anti seizure meds and Prednisone and has not had a seizure since. During the time Toodles was in the Pet ER, he was cared for by Dr Ogg initially then as shifts changed he also was cared for by Dr.Roberts, Dr O'Keefe and Dr. Hopkins. Each doctor was wonderful. They kept me fully informed on his condition, answered my questions and treated me and Toodles with compassion and kindness. I am so grateful to them all. Tk you Pet ER doctors, front desk, techs.

We had to take our dog of 13 years to the pet ER or Sunday. Unfortunately my dog didn’t make it, but pet ER were so compassionate and helpful people. I’m so thankful they were there. I miss my dog.
Squeaky Moths
They saved my kitten from heart failure! I was an absolute mess for 3 days but they never gave up treating her, and neither did she! Costed a small fortune, but you get what you pay for here. I can't recall all the doctors' and techs' names who I met over the 4 days she was there, but Dr. Lamare was awesome and the blonde tech with the cast on her foot was always taking care of her when I was there. I'm sure there were nightshift employees I never met as well who worked just as hard. Thank you all!
Kristen Beaver
I brought my dog to the Pet ER late at night not knowing if he would be coming home with me. Dr.Perkins was who saw my boy. We had a emotional discussion about what decision I was going to make. Dr. Perkins allowed me the opportunity to take my sweet boy home and allow me to make the next day, his last day with me, the absolute best that I could, For that I will forever be grateful. The rest of the staff was phenomenal as well!
Lynnea
My cat is there as I write this. I had three choices of places to go at 130 a.m on a holiday weekend. I choose Pet ER because it was close and I have not been very fond of Falls Rd Emergency in the past. It turns out that my cat probably has a fatal tumor that is causing her lungs to fill with fluid. Yes, I balked when I was given thee estimate for treatment. However, they worked with me to make her stable and comfortable until I could consult with her regular vet when they opened. Yes, it was expensive but upon arrival, my little girl was rushed back to a waiting doctor and what seemed like a team of seven others, surrounding her with oxygen, temperature probes and I don't know all of what else. Meanwhile, as they worked to help her, the front staff had followed my cat and I , trying to get the pertinent information while allowing the doctor to work and allowing me to be by my girls side. When I had to leave the room, the reception person offered coffee and snacks to get through the long night into morning. Yes, I wish they were less expensive but how else are they to pay for all the staff and needed equipment to handle trauma and sickness? The average vet's office is like a doctor's office...if you present at your doctor's office in cardiac arrest or some other serious problem, they send you to the ER. So, if you go to an ER, animal or otherwise, expect to pay for the convenience and peace of mind. Yes, I will use them again but I will make sure to put the Care Credit card in my wallet prior to leaving the house.
Emily Fruchterman
We brought our cat here for a urethral obstruction and were blown away by the quality of service Pet+ER provided. They did a great job explaining his condition to us and keeping in touch when they had to keep him overnight. We were very anxious for our cat and they made the experience so much better than it could have been. We're so grateful for the amazing medical care they gave our cat and the amazing way they communicated with us and soothed our nerves.
Stephanie Gilotte
Compassion and respect is the order of the day. So refreshing. Each person I encountered was a wonderful being, who got to know my dog boss. They were able to pick up on her personality and adjust to give her the best care. I am grateful for their professionalism and genuine care for each family member, animal and human alike.
Danielle Messick
We ended up being at the Pet E+R 3 out of 5 days, late at night and over a long weekend. They were slammed with critical animal after another. They immediately got my dog in, did a very thorough examination, took so much time with me on the phone (due to Covid and not allowed in), answered all my questions, updated my regular vet. On the 2nd trip, they contacted the specialist at CVSS on a Sunday who was doing our dog’s surgery that coming Thursday to see if specialist could move up her surgery. Dr. Richardson and Dr. J went to far above and beyond to save my golden. Unfortunately my golden’s tumor grew out of control and surgery was no longer an option. They were so wonderful in the painful decision to humanely euthanize our dog. They were so sweet to us and our dog and we were so appreciative of all of them. And then yesterday in the mail, we received the most special, handwritten card from 8 different staff members all writing individual comments and speaking about our dog by name. That meant the world to us!! Thank you for all of your compassion❤️🐾
Lorie Biddulph
I had the most pleasant ER experience ever ! They took extra great care of my guy who just had major surgery. They explained everything.

Everyone was very friendly! I received regular updates from the doctors to let me know how my buddy was doing. Even though I couldn't see him I know they were taking good care of him based on the regular updates and how they talked about his progress. They all genuinely care about your pets and would be in good hands should you need to visit.
Robin Biddinger
I absolutely loved this place. I rushed my 10ish year old dog there 2 nights ago in a complete panic, after he got into a fight with our other dog. The staff was beyond WONDERFUL! They were amazing at being patient at me while I was crying and worked up. I felt so comfortable leaving my pup with them.(I was a little scared, but the techs were amazing) I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an emergency service. I was very hesitant on waiting until morning, being we left to go there at about 10:30 PM, and its a 30 min drive from my home. I plan on sending a card to the office to let the staff know how pleased I am with the service. Not to mention that my pup is almost back to normal. Thank you guys so so much! I hope you know you're appreciated!!!!

The Pet ER in Towson is excellent! I am very impressed with how professional they are. They truly care for your animals. It is great for my dog because she sees a neurologist in the same building.
Jessica Loudermilk
Fantastic and caring vets and staff! We had an emergency euthanasia and they were so fast for our animal, so kind to us and our furry friend. They did all they could as quick as they could to end our pets pain. We appreciated all they did, how we were treated and will absolutely be back with our other pets and will recommend. All of this for a little sick rat. Thank you all for everything and most of all your compassion and love for all animals, big an and small!
Starr Wallace
I had to bring my cat here twice, once in November of 2021 and March 2022. They are an amazing group of staff that work hard to help your beloved best friends. Thank you Towson PET ER for everything you do and did for my baby boy, Allistair Wallace.
Brenda Jews
So awesome! We arrived with so much angst and the staffers put our minds at ease with appropriate information and a plan forward for our furry family member. They are the go-place for emergency needs.

I unfortunately had to put my fur baby to sleep. It was a sudden sickness. One that I knew in my heart I was not going to be able to save him from. I had my baby for 16 years. He was not just a dog. He was the family dog, our protector, our security blanket. He was with us through some very tough times. He lived the remainder of his life out at grandmas house, where he absolutely loved it and we loved him even more. But, I could tell when it was time to say goodbye.
With heavy hearts we took him to PET ER. This was an extremely hard choice and the process was heart breaking but the ladies that work there were nothing short of outstanding. They made sure we knew what was happening before it even happened. They offered tissues to my entire family that stayed with him till his last breath. They allowed us as much time with him as we wanted before we said our final goodbyes. They were gentle with not only my baby, but with us as well. They were so supportive, and kept us comfortable with the most uncomfortable choice we were facing. We may have left empty handed that night but due to the staff’s outstanding actions I knew I did the right thing, and he was in great hands through the next phase of his life.

My cat was diagnosed with lymphoma. The staff was extremely compassionate. Dr. Richardson, Dr. Barfield, and Dr. Ogg are amazing. Excellent bedside manner!! My kitty Joey absolutely loved the staff. When it was time to go home, he wanted to stay with the staff.

We had to put our senior dog down. It was an emergency situation at 4 in the morning. The staff was so compassionate. 🐾❤️ …

We had a pretty crazy day in finding out my dog had been dealing with a growing cancer in her spleen. She’d been tested for this sort of thing but it never showed up on testing... within 2 minutes of entering the facility my dog was being examined by a serious team who were very professional. I’ve never experienced this kind of service and attention at any other pet ER. I’ve been to 3 other places in the past. The folks who supported us through the euthanasia process were really caring and did not rush any portion of the process. I read some bad reviews on here, but we absolutely did not experience any of those negative things reported during this visit. I will say I’ve only been here this one time, but I’d definitely return with my future pets. We even received a very personal card a week later that was very thoughtful and not generic in the slightest. Thanks guys :).

We received very competent and compassionate 24-hour emergency veterinary care for our pup that needed emergency surgery. Highly recommend based on our emergency care experience.

fast, friendly and helpful!!! The best place ever! Everyone is so nice and understanding. The Doctor was very friendly and informative. They answer all your questions!

I took my dog here after being attacked by a pitbull on a walk home today. No one else (not even my own vet!) would see her, since it was around 5pm and with a pandemic in the midst. I called the pet ER and they explained that my dog would need to be seen by herself (which is always less than thrilling for her plus being mixed with tons of emotions and anxiety about her situation), but I had no other choice. Two nurses came out to get my dog from my car and took her inside. A doctor was able to see her ASAP, and she was brought back about 20 minutes later. Luckily, nothing invasive needed to be done but bringing her here gave me peace of mind. I’m extremely grateful and will definitely recommend this practice to friends and family that have a pet emergency.

We had to have our Beloved dog of 17 years, put to sleep. Our Vet is located out of state and we were not able to get there. We contacted a local vet, but was told that they couldn't help us that day and recommended Pet+ E. R. I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews .
We were told no appointment was necessary and given all the information we needed to make our decision. From the minute we arrived until the time we left, we were treated, with the utmost kindness and respect for our situation. Everyone we met, was so understanding and made us feel as comfortable as possible. I was able to hold our pet and he was gently given the medications. I would not hesitate to recommend Pet+ E.R. Our heart breaking task was made, so much easier. We left feeling this was the best outcome we could have hoped for. They were wonderful and we can't thank them enough!

Our elderly cat went into renal failure and we were sent here for care. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Communication was great and frequent. You never want to be here with your pet but we are so happy that the vets and techs were here for us

I am writing this review after just coming home from taking my cat there. All of the previous reviews had me pretty nervous to take him there but I was worried and needed a place close by. The receptionist had my paper work ready for me, since I called in advance, and was ever so friendly. She was happy to make small talk and understood that an ER visit at 2am on a Saturday is not what anyone wants to be doing. The technicians seem to be a little less cheery as they did the triage, but the vet was very nice. She brought me back a full print out estimate of everything she was planning on doing to diagnosis my cat. She knew that I did not have much money to pay for a large deposit and tried to keep only the important treatments and procedures. I told her I would like my regular vet to do anything else since they are generally cheaper. She understood and was very helpful with everything. They got me set up with a Care Credit card to cover the costs that I couldn't afford and when the computers weren't working, the receptionist was apologetic and sincere. She reassured me how wonderful the staff is and to please call anytime for an update. She even let me go back and say bye before I left.
Granted, I haven't gotten the final bill, so I'm not sure if they will try to throw in anything extra or how successful his diagnostic procedures will be, but I have to say I feel comfortable having him there for the next 36 hours. The vet even told me to call her in a couple hours, before she gets off shift, so she can give me a thorough update on his progress and how things are looking. In terms of prices, yes this place is expensive. But so is every other 24 hour hospital. At least they made me feel at ease and comfortable. And hey, Nick Markakis brought in his pup tonight to get stitches, so it has to be good right?

My 1 year old BC mix had to go here for emergency treatment. The staff were incredibly comforting and supportive. I had to go back the following day for bloodwork and again the triage nurse and techs that saw my dog were amazing. My dog is shy and uncomfortable with strangers. They put her first, set her up for success and tried to dissipate her fear as much as possible while still getting her the urgent care she needed. Stephanie and Rachel were specifically two of the kindest people I’ve encountered in veterinary care. They made a scary situation much easier to handle.

The quality of care is excellent. The financial burden is another story, altogether. I am grateful that my dog’s life was saved!

I would highly recommend Pet E.R. and was very pleased with their level of empathy and care during an extremely difficult time. On a Friday evening, my miniature schnauzer, Daphne, suddenly had a very difficult time breathing. After consulting with someone at the front desk over the phone, we rushed her to Pet E.R. Unfortunately, my best friend of 13 years died in my arms about a minute before we arrived. When we entered the building, they immediately took us back to the procedure room before confirming she had left this world. They wrapped Daphne in a blanket and gave us a room, for as long as we needed, to spend time with my little girl. When we were ready, they discussed options for cremation. A couple days after, Pet E.R. sent us a clay medallion with her paw print on it. And less than a week later, Daphne was ready to be picked up in an ornately carved box with her name on it and a laminated card about the Rainbow Bridge was included with it. Fast forward a week later, the staff sent us a card with personalized messages hand-written inside. As a life-long dog owner, I have never received such exemplary service from a veterinarian, let alone one that we had never visited before. Thank you everyone at Pet E.R. for making our loss easier and being so incredibly compassionate. I am eternally grateful.

Everyone was very professional and very polite they really care about your pet whether be dog cat Etc I recommend them 5 stars and would take my pet there any time that he needs attention God-bless all the people that work there

I brought my foster puppy in for surgery. (Justin) this team of people are amazing. Even with what is going on they were attentive, caring and efficient. I was quite upset because not only was he having surgery he was being transferred to another foster. The following day I went to take him some food and while I was there someone brought a dog in that had been attacked by a pit bull. I saw blood on the towel. I never seen a team of people move so fast. They helped my boy Justin and I’m confident they saved this little one. 💕 Great Job girls ! 💕🐾

We took my dog here this past Friday when she was passing, she took her last breath on the way there and had no heartbeat when we arrived. The staff was so caring and as welcoming as family, gave us time, tissues, water, and comfort before explaining our options. Once they explained our options they were still just as compassionate and didn't force us into anything. Today I came home to a personalized sympathy card from the hospital in which each staff member wrote a personalized note of grievance. Losing a pet is never easy but having a caring staff and hospital makes a world of a difference in your time of need.

Thank you so much for your care of my Oliver from this past Tuesday to Wednesday. I work as an RVT in a general practice a bit far from my home and knew he would need more care than my work could offer so I decided on you guys. You all were very attentive from the time I pulled in and kept me updated to the best of your ability I'm sure (even with my repetitive phone calls). He's usually a pain at the vet so I was worried when I was told he wasn't at first.. But when you all told me he was "feisty" I knew he was feeling better. He's happy to be home now and I can tell he's feeling back to normal.
Kimberly Santos
AMAZING CARE! i went with my puppy tonight because he wouldn’t stop crying and couldn’t walk and stop licking himself. No one wants to take him because all the animal ER were
full. We called them and they right away told us to come. They took care him and checked him. Thank you so much for your service.
Kirsten Peek
Like any ER, it is expensive. If you're here, it's probably because something has gone terribly and unexpectedly wrong, so the cost is tough to swallow on top of everything else. That said, they were up front with me about costs along the way. I was sent here by my regular vet, who had told me that my cat was on his deathbed when I brought him in to get a cough and lethargy checked out. I was extremely distraught when I arrived at Pet ER. The vet we saw (I think her name was Gisela), was so kind. Though she had just spoken with my regular vet on the phone, she took the time to sit on the floor with my cat, petting him and listening to observations I provided about his condition before choosing a course of action. Our conversation and her taking the time to interact with my cat on his level led to her discovering what the real problem was: an ear infection. I have been telling vets for months as his condition has deteriorated that there is something wrong with my his ears, and they always blew me off and said they seemed fine. Finally, someone listened and took the time to thoroughly investigate. Once he's through this treatment, he's going to feel better than he has in a long time. I'm thankful. I arrived there sobbing and believing he would never get to go home again, and all the staff I encountered was efficient and kind.
Audrey Goodman
Amazing staff and great facility. We brought our nearly 15 year old dog in, as her health had rapidly declined and there was nothing more we could do to treat or comfort her. The staff was so friendly, understanding and courteous. It was one of the worst days of my life, and it's a heart breaking decision that no one wants to make about their family pet. The staff's kindness made that absolutely horrible day just a little bit easier to handle.
Vibing with Lorena Evans
They are nice people and all but they are super long winded here we were here for 4 hours waiting and waiting they kept saying someone would be with us this is ridiculous. They saw the puppy and said everything was fine and the doctor would be with us it took them like 20 minutes to get back to us it seemed. If I could have gone to the vet I would have went there.I would have taken my new 7 week old puppy to the vet her first appoint but they were closed yesterday when I got her back from the Breeder and today on Sunday and due to all that is going on right now I just wanted to make sure my puppy was fine. I know they have a lot going on but so do we it was time to go. She will be going to her initial visit next week.

I'm in an odd position -- my dog is being treated there as I write. So far, my opinion of the Pet+ER is positive. The staff is pleasant and to the untrained eye seem quite knowledgeable.
It seems that many of the negative reviews center on the money. Do these people know that pet care of any kind is expensive. We have two dogs and have been going to the same regular Vet for 30 years, and we consider it a good day when we get of the office for less than $300 for a check-up and vaccine update. Emergency care of any kind is expensive by a factor of 10. An ER visit for a human can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars -- look at a hospital bill. A Vet's overhead is lower but machines are machines, clinical space is clinical space. The doctor's job is to give you the treatment options available and the cost -- the ultimate decision is ours.
Stephanie Aaronson
While I wish my dog and I didn't have to go here for an emergency surgery, the vets, techs, and everyone I spoke with was extremely kind and understanding. They are transparent with cost and were kind and offered details any time I called.
Patricia Anna Holt
Dr. Hopkins and the staff at Pet+E.R. were wonderful! Dr. Hopkins exceeded my expectation in her concern and treatment of my cat PrimRose! If you have a pet emergency I highly recommend Pet+ E.R. Your pet will be in good hands, and I found the cost for "emergency" services to be reasonable.
Jenn Briscoe
We had a horrible emergency this evening with our cat,and was unable to go to my usual veterinary ER.,because Falls Road Animal Hospital doesn't take emergency cases after 8pm anymore. They kindly directed me to Pet+E.R in Towson, which is a little further away but still in the same direction as I was already driving. As I was driving my gravely injured cat toward Falls Road,I just had to continue in the same direction in order to arrive at this wonderful facility.
I am extremely grateful for all that the doctors and technologists did in attempting to save my precious boy. They didn't charge me astronomical fees and were empathetic and kind,it seemed to be truly heartfelt . I appreciate everything they did for my beloved pet of 9 years, and for my family. I knew that there was a very slim chance that my baby would pull through, yet the staff did everything in their power in the attempt to save him. They even set me up with after care, and a bereavement group.
Thank you again for your attempts to save Uno,your patience, understanding and extraordinary kindness at Pet+ER in Towson will never be forgotten.

We have partnered with the Pet ER in Towson with several pets and have never been disappointed. The most recent was with our 12 year old Pug, Buddy. Buddy had a collapsing trachea amongst other issues which began in 2017. He had been seen many times in the ER because like kids, he would never need medical attention when our regular vet was open. We had probably been in the ER 10-15 times between 2017 and 2020. Every time we had excellent, friendly and compassionate service from the administration, vet techs and vets. We never once felt as if they were taking advantage of us and our money, we always were given options and told what to expect from each.
In March of this year Buddy was really struggling with his coughing and breathing and also had a cataract and nerve issues in his right eye and we had no other option on a Saturday afternoon but to take him to the Pet ER. It was the strangest visit due to Covid rules and it was a long visit in our car with a lot of phone calls etc. Behind Buddy’s eye was something hard, more than likely a tumor, and we were advised that he was in pain for sure with the eye and it needed to be removed. The vet was honest that this could be very quick and could be the solution BUT that she could get behind his eye and there could be other issues. She also told us, as we had been told by every vet we met there over the years, that there was no cure for the trachea issues except a surgery that was expensive with a very low success rate and that at Buddy’s age would be foolish for so many reasons. She told us that we could increase his anxiety medicine and cough medicine but he was already pretty sedated most days by the amount he had been on. She told us with all going on with Covid and money issues as well as us having 2 other senior dogs that if we decided for logical reasons it best to put Buddy down she would not have an issue with that. She also told us that if we wanted to try to lessen his issues for some additional time she would also understand. She gave us time to call her back and let her know after we discussed all of this in our car privately.
We decided to put him down although it tore us apart. Only one of us could go into the hospital due to the Covid rules. My husband went in because I would have never made it without him with me if I went in to be with Buddy. The vet fed Buddy wet dog food as a treat before the procedure began which of course Buddy loved. My husband was a wreck when he came out but he said that he could not have asked for anyone or anything better than the people he worked with today. They gave Buddy a ton of love and were very kind to him.
We picked Buddy’s remains up 2 weeks later and a tech walked them out to us to our car and wished us condolences. We received a personally signed card a week later from the staff and vets. Some actually wrote notes and 2 of them remembered Buddy specifically. I am so sorry I didn’t get this review done earlier because unfortunately I cannot remember names from that day to recognize them specifically anymore.
Thank all of you at the Pet ER in Towson for your compassion and love of animals!!!!

When I arrived at this location, they didn't hesitate to come get my pet. Sorry I had to put down, but the empathy I received from staff. I will continue to use their services.

I had such a positive experience. As any pet owner who has to take their pet to an ER I was VERY VERY worried and stressed. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. The vet Melissa Ogg was amazing. She answered all of my questions without getting annoyed or frustrated. They took all the covid precautions. 10/10 recommend.
Wendy Estes
Took an hour and a half to get signed in and 2 hours to get signed out after the vet said she'd be ready to leave...and that was after calling them twice from the parking lot. Although the vet was timely in calling me twice and updating me and discussing choices, the staff was not. I had asked people a few times to update me...they said they would...but never got bsck to me. This was over multiple hrs all the while I was in the parking lot waiting... as no one suggested I go home and wait.

Although my cat did not make it today, the medical personnel rushed to try save her.
I however wish they’d admit the pets first while checking in. I feel I wasted some precious minutes while booking her in. She didn’t make it past the ER doors.

This place was exceptional, professional, and genuinely very kind. I was pleased beyond measure (as was my dog.)

Amazing facility! My kitty was here over the weekend for Advil toxicity, and they were fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, caring, and excellent at their jobs. I received check up calls twice a day, and every time I called, and I was able to visit any time of day. The staff made me feel that my baby was being taken care of by people who love animals as well as medicine. When he was sent home he looked and smelled clean; he actually smelled like someone's perfume which makes me smile thinking of him getting lots of hugs and love from the staff in the back.
When I arrived to pick him up, the transaction was a smooth process; I was not surprised or upset at all by the bill as they informed me of price increases and payment options.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would, they are absolutely the best place for emergency veterinary care.
John Beebe
I've unfortunately had to bring pets here several times, and can say that my pets have always been treated well here. Admittedly, this is an emergency hospital, and emergency medicine is always expensive. I suspect a lot of the "shell game" other reviewers have mentioned here is largely an attempt by the ER to cover themselves from customers backing out once their pets are feeling better and they're confronted with the bill. But, my experience has been that the vets and vet techs have always proven knowledgable and caring. The vets always did a great job of explaining where how long it would take to be seen, and then on the list of options available to us for care. I never felt strong-armed into accepting unnecessary treatment. Thanks to the vets here for all the great care they've provided my pets over the years!
Tom Glazer
saw my dog immediately when brought in with breathing issues. Very helpful with options available for treatment and follow up care

We brought our dog Bandit into Pet Er when he collapse during a walk. Upon seeing Bandit's condition, the whole office stopped what they were doing and attended to Bandit. They worked efficiently and quickly to revive Bandit. Unfortunately, it was too late getting Bandit the emergency care that he needed and he had already passed away peacefully. Was impressed with the staff as each of the 7 or 8 staff members shared their condolences with me and my wife.
If something else happens to our other dog which requires emergency care, I feel this Pet ER will do what is necessary to help my dog.

Came here at 2:30 am because my service dog had extreme bout of coughing and trouble breathing. I was hesitant because of some negative reviews but this is recommended by my vet so I went after calling ahead. There was no wait and they were very straightforward about initial exam fees. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and knowledgable, and had I needed to leave her overnight, I would not have thought twice about it. Percie ended up having kennel cough so thankfully nothing that serious, but we had a very positive experience. Price was much better than expected, as well. $180 for consultation, antibiotics, and pain meds. She recovered within a few days. Thank you Pet ER!

I recently had to put my cat to sleep. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The staff at pet+er was and is amazing. Each and everyone was very patient and sympathetic to me. I have received a beautiful box with a gold plated plague with his name on it, for his box with ashes in it. They sent me a plaster ornament with his name on it and clippings of his fur. They also took the time to sign a card for me. Not just one person, but numerous of their staff and wrote kind gestures in my time of grieving. I will forever remember what they have done for me. I am forever a loyal customer of theirs. Greatest staff in an animal hospital.
Richard Missett
Took our dog in after he was attacked by another dog. Everyone - staff, nurses, veterinarian were professional, courteous, and handled him well. We were very pleased with the care he received - fortunately everything turned out okay. While picking him up, we received instructions on how to care for his wounds and left with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
Overall, the prices are steep, but it is definitely worth it for a place that is open 24/7 365 with vets trained for emergencies. I should mention that the total we paid was less than the estimate they gave us! When does that happen??
I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had to take our 8-year-old beloved golden doodle, Cooper, to the Towson ED as he all of a sudden became lethargic and was not responding like himself. The staff was caring, sympathetic and worked hard to save him. Unfortunately, he had a rare brain bleed called a pituitary apoplexy which they had never seen. Both the ED vets and the neurologist went out of their way to call other vets to see if anything could be done. They did all they could and did not push for unnecessary treatment but gave us the facts. Cooper died peacefully surrounded by his family. We miss him everyday!

Pet ER goes above and beyond in every sense of the words. I had my hamster euthanized here, and everyone was so very kind and did a great job of making sure the process was as easy as possible. My hamster was put on blankets and put in a container where she breathed in anesthesia to ensure that she wouldn’t be in any pain, and then they gave her to me as she peacefully passed so I could say goodbye. About two weeks later, I received a letter in the mail from them- a sympathy card with tons of handwritten notes mentioning my hamster by name, expressing their condolences and best wishes. I was blown away by the kindness. Will absolutely be going here in the future. (Also, my hamster was euthanized at around 4 am- not only were they open, but they were very quick and kind despite the late hour)

I have to say, I’m surprisingly shocked at how well our experience was. We’ve had horrible experiences with emergency vets. Anywho, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable. We originally thought surgery was in the future for our poor little girl but ended up not needing it. DR. Kim is who we had and he was awesome, super knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog there. Hopefully I won’t need to again or atleast anytime soon, but I’ll definitely be back with any emergency needs. Thank you all

I have a lot of experience with this Emergency Veterinarian. I can say only good things. My aunt's dog also saw a cardiologist here, my dog had 2 knee surgeries, and I have now, over the years, had 3 pets euthanized here. The medical care is the very best.
We had a visit for a very sad reason very early this morning around 5:00 a.m. We had our cat Shanti put to sleep. Shanti was a beatiful, sweet girl from BARCS. She has been a loving companion and a big part of our family for years now. We wanted to do right by her. I saw some of the reviews that are not great, but I have had wonderful experiences here. No, the aren't cheap, but these are some of the most highly skilled vets and vet techs. If your animal companion is having an emergency, these are the people who can save your friend when no one else can. The equipment, the training, keeping the top notch facility running all of that takes money. I know it is tough when you don't have the monry to spare. I have been there myself with another vet. Pet health insurance is available and may be a worthwhile investmemt for some.
Tonight we were almost certain Shanti was passing but couldn't tell if she was in pain. Her purring made me suspect she might be and we didn't want her to suffer any longer. We called ahead and were told to bring her right in. I broke down on the phone and the woman with whom I was speaking, I could feel her compassion in her tone of voice. Little things like that mean a lot. It was sincere. Even though it must be routine for them, they really appreciated what we were feeling and were so very respectful. We were never treated as though this was just routine. She patiently waited while I handed Stan the phone because I could not talk and then explained the costs to Stan, which turned out to be precisely accurate.
Stan had to take Shanti as I stayed home with our daughter. Once there the staff promptly took care of them, which was a relief. Stan describes that they were so very compassionate and kind to him and to Shanti, even when he became much more upset than he had anticipated.
I think they did a very good job of tactfully explaining the charges. We elected to also get an exam, which he was told up front when he asked was an extra fee. This would likely be the last thing we would do for our girl and we wanted to be sure and the situation was sudden, although she was pretty old. The doctor had a very gentle touch, careful not to vause Shanti any discomfort, and it meant a lot that she was able to confirm to us Shanti was on her way already. The staff and veterinarian explained everything and at one point respectfully withdrew to give Stan privacy when he unexpectedly began to cry pretty hard, after asking him if he would like a moment.
They also did a good job of explaining the options for her remains. They do a complimentary paw print but we elected to have her ashes because she was a very nervous and anxious girl. I know it's almost certainly extremely silly but I didn't like the thought of her remains being with those of others because she would have been terrified to be around all the other pets in life. They planned this with Stan and arranged to have hurry means sent back to them to ensure they were safely received.
I have experienced nothing but compassion and kindness. I highly recommend them but I do suggest you keep in mind the associated fees. They are up front about them. Their estimates seem similar in form to those elsewhere, by the way. Their fees are not cheap, but also not unreasonable. If money is tight, in an emergency, look into the information they have available, and that is also online, about a pet care line of credit, or plan ahead and purchase pet health insurance. These are some of the top experts available and I am so grateful for their expertise, their facility, and their presence in our area. I want to very grateful for their kindness and compassion

No complaints! They took great care of Cash, I am very pleased. It was Me & Cash first time there and it was great customer service, friendliness, kind and great education on medicine etc.

We were sent to the Pet ER by our primary veterinarian (Jacksonville) because our 9 year old cat Mia had an enlarged kidney and needed an ultrasound. Mia has been with the Pet ER for 3 days and we feel we couldn't have brought her to a better place. The front desk staff, nurses, and doctors have been patient, informative, genuine, honest, and caring during this entire process. It was found that Mia has (had!) an infected cyst on her kidney as well as a possible kidney disease and low grade anemia. The doctors very clearly and patiently explained to us the need for and results of all testing as well as all treatment options, their possible outcomes, and all costs associated with each. Many reviews have noted the high cost as a negative factor but the Pet ER is a 24 hour emergency care facility with higher operating cost than primary care veterinarian facilities. We understood and accepted that when we chose Pet ER to treat our Mia. We feel truly blessed to have chosen the Pet ER; the care received by our entire family is unsurpassable. We could not have hoped for a better experience.

I had never been to the Pet ER before but had to rush my poor dog there a couple weeks ago after she was attacked by an off leash dog while we were out on a walk. Thankfully my dog's injuries weren't too serious and mostly superficial but the staff here were all so incredibly nice and kind to both myself and my dog. Having my dog attacked was one of the scariest and most traumatic things I've ever experienced, so when we first arrived I was incredibly shaken and upset. The ladies at the desk were so kind and helpful and one of them even came around and gave me hug when she saw that I was crying. That meant so much to me in that moment. The techs and the doctor were also all beyond nice and took such good care of my dog. They were so gentle and kind to her and really went above and beyond to help us both feel at ease. Thank you to all the amazing staff here for taking such good care of us!

My dog was in bad shape. Dr Lamare and the team were communicative, patient, and took great care of Lucy.

My experience far exceeded a human ER. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, professional, and kind to me & my lil friend. He’s feeling amazing today, and I’m so grateful!

I had a very good experience, the staff were very friendly and took good care of my little dog.

The staff at pet Er in Towson was beyond amazing when we had to rush our sweet sick dog in the middle of the night into their facility. She had collapsed at home and couldn’t get up. As soon as we arrived, they rushed her back to triage and quickly diagnosed our worst fear. A Malignant mass had ruptured and was dumping blood into her abdomen. We were given as much time as we needed before, and after peacefully putting her to rest, they offered us water and snacks. We received a pawprint in the mail, and her remains were ready to be picked up 4 days later, and then, we received a sympathy card in the mail personally signed by the entire staff. I couldn’t be more happy with the service we received from this facility.

After my dog lost control of her legs and then lost consciousness in the middle of the night we took her to Pet+ER. Within a few minutes they had determined what had caused her to lose consciousness (low glucose levels) and already had a few ideas as to what had caused the abnormal levels of glucose and electrolytes. The first vet who examined her was a little on the solemn side, but I figured she just didn't want us to get our hopes up. When the vets switched shifts the next vet told us she believed our dog had Addison's disease, which would account for all of her symptoms. She was very knowledgeable about the disease and explained to us what the next steps would be. It took them two days to stabilize her, but the staff was wonderful, they kept us in the loop, and answered all of our questions. They also kept us up to date on the cost of her treatment/hospitalization, but it was obviously very expensive (this was what we expected, though). I think they did an amazing job in caring for our sweet pup and we are grateful to have her home.

It was midnight, and we were pretty panicked about our Dane. We called ahead to set things in motion, and when we got there, everything was immediate.
Awesome job. Bentley is doing great now! Our thanks to everybody there!

Our dogs ear was bleeding out of control and we panicked. It was after hours and our veterinarian's answering machine gave only two places. One being way out in Bel Air Maryland.
Being Baltimore City residents we did some quick research and found Pet+ER was only a couple miles from our place.
I have to say that this place was good.
I debated giving them a 4 or a 5 and only decided to go with a 4 because we had a "longer" wait time.
Despite that, the doctor was knowledgable, attentive, and took care of our dog even waiving our processing fee because of the wait.
Definitely recommend for emergencies!

The staff and doctors kept me informed of the status of my injured cat and provided excellent care.

I've read some bad reviews and I have to say my experience was the total opposite. It left me wondering if those people even went to the same place.
I was awaken to a very disturbing situation of my 13 yr old Rat Terrie Lizzie in distress. Unfortunately she passed away on the way to Pet Er. When we arrived my husband went in ahead of me and told the young lady at the desk that our dog wasn't breathing and before I could get out the car another young lady was running out behind him and immediately took her into her arms and rushed her to the back where at least another 4-5 people rushed to help her, unfortunately she didn't have a pulse and was apparent she had passed but I'm confident that if there was anything they could do they would have done it. They then put us in a room and brought her in wrapped in a pink blanket and let us spent as much time as we needed with her. Everyone gave their condolences, then told us our options for her remains. I opted to get her cremated and to get her ashes back. Two days later I received her paw print in a clay mold in the mail and less then a week later I received a call that her ashes were ready for pick up. Upon arrival to get her ashes another young lady at the desk, retrieved her ashes from the back and walked around the desk to give her to me and again gave her condolences. Lizzie's ashes were put in a very lovely wooden box that came with a certificate, a very kind poem and a gold plated name plate. Although me losing her was extremely hard, heart breaking and earth shattering everyone at Pet Er was very kind sincere,as well as empathic and I'm very thankful for them.

10/10 RECOMMEND to anyone and everyone.
10/10 WILL go back if I ever have another emergency.
10/10 STAFF that truthfully cares about your pet and you.
10/10 PRICE!
To start I can’t thank this place enough!
I’d also love to thank EVERYONE at this facility! You guys made one of the most tragic nights in my life better.
THANK YOU! 💙
It was late at night (around 1AM) in late June 2018 when I arrived back at my house. I found my baby boy Midnight (cat about 16 years old) on the floor yowling in pain. I immediately noticed he couldn’t use his back legs anymore and was in a lot of distress. So I quickly googled vet ERs in the area, found this place and packed my baby up. Once in the car we drove extremely fast from Dundalk to here. On the way I called and told them the situation, to which they assured me they’d be ready. We make it there not long after and as soon as we walk in the team rushes out to get my boy. They take him into the back and immediately give him pain meds to try and make him more comfortable and start testing his glucose. By this point I’m a sobbing wreck, so my husband has to give them all the details. They secretary was amazingly sweet and compassionate as were all of the veterinarians and techs. They put me in a room to have some privacy and to start paperwork. Not long after one of the veterinarians walks in and confirms my suspicions. My boy had SADDLE THROMBUS. If you’re unfamiliar I’d suggest googling it. Either way super painful and extremely poor outcome. I knew I had to say goodbye to my baby that night. This amazing team made it so easy considering how a wreck I was. The price for everything they did was under $550. That included the glucose tests on all legs, the pain management, putting him to rest, and the cremation and whatever else was done. It didn’t take long to get my baby’s ashes in a beautiful wooden box. It has gorgeous flowers carved in the top and has his name on it. The staff also HAND WROTE and SIGNED a beautiful card and mailed it to me. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this facility. Thank you so much again everyone!
P.S: To compare the price of an emergency to a non emergency.
I scheduled to put my baby girl Olivia to rest (cat around 16 years old) from renal failure at Eastern Animal Hospital. She was not an emergency nor a walk in. The staff there were sweet, but the price was about the same as the total I paid for Midnight. I can honestly say I paid way more for Olivia’s cremation and did not get a personalized handwritten card. They did provide a paw print impression though. Regardless I appreciate the care my girl received as well. Just wouldn’t recommend for pricing.

They were so wonderful. They treated my puppy as of she were one their own. The warmth and kindness of the staff was very wonderful.

We were recently referred here last Tuesday morning by our regular vet with our senior basset hound, Charlie. Upon arrival, we were immediately triaged and Charlie was taken right in the back to be examined by the doctors. Dr. Cao met with us to go over her initial findings and recommendations. She was very kind and professional, and she took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions before we admitted Charlie.
The following day, Dr. Tag took over Charlie’s care. Unfortunately, further testing showed metastatic cancer, along with pneumonia and pancreatitis. Dr. Tag was incredibly kind and sympathetic when calling us with the news that afternoon. She was also very honest in relaying Charlie’s poor prognosis and quality of life, which we greatly appreciated. After a lengthy discussion, we agreed that euthanasia was the best choice, and we headed back up to the hospital that evening.
The staff was absolutely wonderful when we arrived, taking us right to a private room, going over our options for cremation, finalizing our bill, and reassuring us to spend as much time with Charlie in the room as we wanted. Dr. Tag performed the euthanasia, and she couldn’t have been more wonderful throughout the process. She explained everything prior to starting, answered our questions, and reassured us that our difficult decision was the right one. During the actual process, we got on the floor and held Charlie in our arms and talked to him. She physically worked around us without complaint, and took the time to pet Charlie and tell him what a “good boy” he was until he went peacefully. After pronouncing him, she stayed with us for several minutes to offer her condolences before she left the room, encouraging us to take as much time as we wanted to say our final goodbyes. And just yesterday in the mail, we received a sympathy card, personally signed by the staff and Dr. Tag, which was so thoughtful.
We are heartbroken to have lost our sweet boy, but I can’t say enough about the exceptional care we received at Pet+ER. Everyone was so kind and professional, and we take comfort in knowing Charlie received the best care possible in his final days.
There are a lot of unfair accusations on here regarding greed and money-hungry business practices. Our experience was NOTHING like that. In our moments of grief and shock over hearing the word “cancer”, we would have readily agreed to further tests or treatments, spending even more money than we already had at that point. Dr. Tag was very honest with us regarding Charlie’s prognosis. We have no doubts she had Charlie’s best interests at heart when she recommended we let him go peacefully, rather than invest in more costly tests and procedures that would just cause more pain and suffering for Charlie, without changing the final outcome.
For roughly 1.5 days of hospitalization, our total bill was over $3,500. Costly? Yes, but on par with every other emergency vet facility in the area. Some people fail to realize that veterinarians don’t have the option to rely on health insurance companies or corporations to pick up the cost, like with human medical care. If the customer doesn’t pay, they lose money. It might seem harsh, but they can’t offer payment plans, with no guarantees they’ll receive payment. It’s clear the revenue they garner they put right back into the place, employing highly skilled doctors and staff, and offering the facilities and medical services they do. They were able to do special tests on Charlie in a matter of hours, as opposed to other places where it could have taken days to get a certain test done. Their facility is top notch, the fees reflect that. Do some research on average salaries for vets and support staff - they clearly don’t go into this field for the money.
Invest in pet insurance whenever possible. It’s the best decision you’ll ever make for your furry loved ones. You can provide the best medical care for your pet and eliminate most of the financial burden from the equation.
We are so appreciate to everyone at Pet+ER.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone that has an emergency with their pet. I accidentally put dog flea and tick medicine on my cat it poisoned her and she almost died . She was having trembles and seizures. Thank God I call this place and they told me to bring her there. God Bless the doctors and nurses and the staff. They took my baby straight in and started treating her before I filled out any papers or paid any money. They are wonderful . Thanks to them my little girl is back home and better. I will definitely use them again for my babys.

The doctors, nurses & staff were the most kind, gentle, understanding, patient, caring individuals I've ever seen. Thank you so very much for being who you all are. You treated Dusty like he was your own. There are no words to thank you enough for the gentle care you gave him. I would recommend you to anyone who needs help with their furry friend. Thank you for everything! 🙏

No pet owner wants to use an emergency room. But, it was of great relief that I was able to make use of the services offered at Pet+ER. My dog was treated quickly and compassionately. I cannot laud them enough, the staff and doctors of Pet+ER were outstanding.
Glenda Mosner
A huge thanks from Khloe for saving her life after she arrived in MD to start a new life with her forever family,
Glenda & Munster Mosner.
This is the 2nd Bulldog you have kept alive for me so I can not say enough nice things about this place. I plan to update this but kind of review needs to be special and spoken from the heart so stayed tuned.

It was a Sunday and I woke up to my cat lethargic and not doing well. It was a long day and the staff was very busy with emergencies but every time someone spoke to me, they did it with kindness and sympathy.
One aid would refer to my cat as my baby when she spoke, so she knew what this animal meant to me. We ended up having to put Birdy the cat down and it was a very sad day. The team helped me make decisions that I didn't think I would have to make and I have to thank them for the support. I appreciate being given options and not being pressured or told what to do.
Days after the event, I received Birdy's paw print in the mail. One week later I also received a card with signatures from the people on the team. It was unexpected and really showed me they cared.
Prices were as expected for a life saving animal hospital.

We cant thank everyone enough for saving our dog . The service we received from start to finish was amazing. The vet and the whole staff are THE BEST. They are the best I have ever experienced with any of our pets. Bailey and our family can't thank you enough.
Ron Burr
We had to bring our dog in for an emergency after leaving another office that was just horrible. They were kind, caring, and extremely helpful. While Buttercup could not be saved it was not for lack of effort or attention from the staff. We came home and pre-registered the rest of our pets with them. You can see how they genuinely care for every animal and every owner who walks in the door.

I want to thank the Pet+ER -Towson staff for the awesome service provided last night when my 12 years and 9 month old Rottweiler, Boscoe, was rushed to your hospital because his regular vet was closed. He was immobile when we arrived at the parking lot, but the staff gently transported him from the SUV to the facility. The veterinarian doctor was able to assess his condition with a diagnosis expeditiously. Keeping in mind his age, unfortunately, Boscoe had tumors in the stomach and it was time to say goodbye. Feeling emotionally drained after making the decision to put Boscoe at rest, it was pleasing to learn that Pet + ER – Towson would be sending us a memorable clay imprint of Boscoe’s paw with his name imprinted on it. Now that’s service! The staff was attentive and courteous as they explained everything about euthanization beforehand. We were escorted to a private room where we could express, love, grieve and comfort Boscoe as well as each other before our final goodbye. During this difficult time, we were allowed as much time as we needed and was not pressured by staff to hurry and leave. The staff is awesome, professional, extremely compassionate, attentive and caring. I highly recommend Pet+ ER – Towson. Thanks for your exemplary service Pet+ER-Towson.

We noticed our cat, Tulio, was having trouble breathing and were advised to bring him into the emergency vet. The staff was punctual, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. The diagnosis for Tulio was not what we hoped, but even so, they walked us through each option and we were able to drain fluids from his lungs and bring him home to give him some good final days. The staff walked through each cost with me, all of which were cheaper than any other vet or emergency vet I have visited (as was their entry fee). Given the difficult and surprising diagnosis, the staff were extremely kind and fave us all the time and space in the world to go over our options. I have been to a few emergency vets in the Baltimore area and by far, Pet+E.R. in Towson has been the best experience. I highly recommend it for your pet should they need immediate care.
Julia
Everyone who worked there was super friendly even though we were obviously distressed. We were there at 1:00AM with a cat who needed stitches, left with him in a cone and and all fixed up at 4:30AM. They walked us through the medicine he needed clearly and provided instructions. Nobody ever wants to be at an emergency pet hospital, but they made it as pleasant of an experience as it could be.
Ken Nguyen
Great communication about our dogs health and very nice people there.
I just want to add that if you're looking for the place on google maps, put in the address for Atlantic Vetinary otherwise you end up circling around the seperate parking lot behind their building like I did.

On Memorial Day our beloved 12 year old german shepherd Baron Von Red Rock got his wings. My husband and I were heart broken. The staff at Pet+E. R.
Met us with a gurney since he could no longer walk. They were so gentle picking up our gorgeous boy. They cried along with us and the Dr. was very comforting.
This was not the first time we have brought a dog to them. This is our 4th one and each time the staff and Drs. have been professional and understanding. Thank you everyone.
We are now grieving. First time ever without a dog in 40 yrs. We will be looking for another fur baby and we count on the great staff at Pet E. R. to
Be there when we need them

I rushed in with my dog who had eaten chocolate. The staff was calm, reassuring, and very helpful. When my dog was taken to the back (to induce vomiting), I was given regular updates of her status. NO one likes going to the ER (for humans or pets), but this was certainly a more pleasant experience for me than going to the human ER.

I came here with my Roxie who is now since passed. She was 7 years old and not spayed. She knew how to jump the fence and was impregnated by a cute little papillon. However she was too old to endure labor. I came here with my sister at about 2am to help her along. And the Vet pulled my Roxies puppies out of her to try to keep her from a C section. Because of this 4 out of her 7 puppies lived. She did need to get a C section ultimately which we were directed to another location promptly. But you never forget caring people when you meet them.

Pet ER in Towson is amazing not only is the staff amazing but they treat the animals as if they were their own. I took my cat Friday evening for urinary retention and the Drs call you with updates every step of the way. When visiting your furbaby you're treated with respect. This team goes beyond to help in every way possible. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for Miguel since Friday. The Tinkers

My pug got attacked by a stray Pitbull and I was in a panic with KING ALEX. The team and doctors were very helpful when I got there..

Hard to put into words the loss of our beloved pet. The initial vet we took him too was unsure as to the cause of his respiratory distress. We feared for congestive heart failure and took him to the PET er in towson where he was immediately put on oxygen and made as comfortable as possible in what would be his final few days before going somewhere better. Cannot say thank you enough to an amazing Dr. Cucchetti and team for being a great support in a dark time for us. If your pet is sick, the Pet ER in towson will give them amazing care.
Happy my friend who is a vet in PA recommended these folks. He was right.

This place is fantastic! They were having a busy night and still took care of my dog’s allergic reaction with urgency and kindness. I strongly recommend this for any pet owner that lives in the city especially.

They took so much good care of my dog, and were very supportive in helping us make decisions about his next steps.

So i’m not one to leave reviews, However, Pet ER of Towson is amazing! This is the ONLY place I will bring my dog to for emergencies! They are informative, helpful, professional, and just care for your animals! They don’t get annoyed or fed up after you’ve called a million times to check on your pet! Their fee’s are reasonable and affordable! I will continue to take my dog Ajax here if I need an emergency vet! If I could I would rate them at 1000%! Thank you guys for all that you have done for me and my family!!

Kind. Caring. Compassionate. Competent. And they saved my dog’s life. What else can my wife and I say but Thank You from the heart.

I had a pleasant experience. My cat had a seizure and they educated me on causes and possible treatments as well. The vet was so sweet and left us feeling better about my cats overall health.

My dog needed an emergency operation and all the Doctors, assistants and front desk staff were Great. I would recommend this PetEr to anyone who has a pet issue.

The staff was so wonderful and polite. I really appreciate all the work they do.

We had to take our cat in when he collapsed, and we had to let him go that night. The staff was extraordinarily kind, while also being direct and willing to explain what was going on. It made what was always going to be a horrible night a little less awful and I appreciate that more than I can say.
David Marshall
I took my critically ill cat in and she received immediate care. The Dr. and staff were not only very good with my cat, but they were equally as attentive to me as I had to make a very hard decision. Thank you all for your care and concern for my Melody and myself.

Last week we rushed our Lily there. The doctor was knowledgeable and in a round about way told you the way that it was. Hard but true. Needless to say our bill for the whole event ended up being about 3600.00 and Lily did not make it. Care seems to be good. Who knows don't know what they do behind closed doors but I think Lily wasn't ready to go but no choice. Prices are highway robbery. But they got you. Some of the front desk staff is very kind and caring and others simply dont give a rat's a hoot. No compassion at all. My sister had words with one unnamed young lady on the phone over her sinister attitude when she called to see how Lily was doing. Lily's dad called yesterday to check to see if her ashes were back as they are important to us and bang another attitude. Well did we call you was her reply. He only wants his little girls ashes back. Like I said some are nice others on the rude side. These young lady should seek employment where they do not have to work with the public. Hear that pet er. Screen your employees better. But on a positive note someone did take the time and consideration to send us a beautiful clipping of Lilys fur. For that a big thank you.
DONNA MEINSCHEIN
My sister rushed her 2 yr old cat there on 9/26 at 430am. They worked intently on him but he did not make it. They gave my sister more information about his problem than the regular vet that saw him on 9/22.
The only downfall I see is in the vetranary field. Animals are like family all vet clinics should work out payments like hospitals and Drs do. Those vet bills can be very high and lack of funds causes people to put animals down. My sister had to apply for a medical credit card just to pay for his vet bill.
Tom Rhodes
My 16 year old dog recently had an incident which paralyzed her in pain. Despite the best efforts of the team at Pet+ER, the pain continued and she had to be put to sleep. Everyone did all they could to make a very difficult situation better and I want to thank them for their care and concern.

I found the Staff efficient & caring. Environment was comfortable & clean. Knowledgeable staff that collaborate & work well as a team. I am a retired RN & found no deficiencies in this fascility. Front desk busy, but staff organized & pleasant. Dr. Ogg performed a surgical debridement on our 12 yr old beagle, "Gracie". She is home doing very well. This center ran like a well run medical for pets. I would highly recommend it.

I want to thank this facility for their care and concern and their great response. Very pleasant experience. All the staff was very friendly, quick to answer questions, and showed lots of care to our pup! A bit of a wait (3.5 hours total) but well worth it for the care and service we received!

We took our like a Son-Shadow to the ER. He was gasping for air. Shadow is a Poodle that is 14 yrs and 7 months old. As quick as the front noticed Shadow he was taken to the ER. The people there are amazing. The ER is like Shock Trauma. It's been 2 months now and with all the dedication Shadow is up and around like a puppy. He runs and barks and eats and eats. His hair is finally growing back. He stills coughs every so often but we expected this. A little cough medicine and he like up and at it! We can never thank all the staff for helping Shadow enjoy a longer normal life. The front desk staff will always be remembered as so supportive. John,Sandy and especially Shadow thank you!. Sadly, Shadow around 1:30am on October 3rd. Shadow began having difficulty breathing. We rushed him to the ER. The staff did all they could to help Shadow. Everyone there gave us comfort as losing Shadow was something we never wanted to believe. Tamara and Dr. Friedman were there for us. The next day late in the morning Dr. Cao called us to see how we were holding up and to comfort us as she knew how much we loved Shadow. The ER is one remarkable hospital with Staff that really care for our pet. They show emotion and love for the pet and for the family. I am forever grateful> John, Sandy and most of all our beloved Shadow. Today, 10-11-17 we drove to the PetER to receive Shadow's URN. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Tamara and Jen. We brought Shadow's girlfriend-Buttnz and her new friend and now a new part of our family-Jake. Tamara and Jen gave us warm hugs and also hugs to Buttnz and Jake. Later Dr. Crane came out and spent much appreciated time with us. To the rest of the staff that were there for us, Thank You for all your care and dedication! John, Sandy, Buttnz and Jake!

What an incredible experience!! Every single person that works here is phenomenal. They truly care about the pets they take care of. My baby wouldn’t be here without their expertise. I’m truly grateful. 10/10 would recommend!!!

The staff at Pet E.R. we're truly wonderful and presented everything up front. My poor puppy was back there three times in a 24 hour time period due to a possible rat poison ingestion. The doctors and staff were awesome!

I went in on a Sunday night and wasn’t there as long as I thought I’d be. My dog got through triage in a decent time manner and her issue was addressed. There’s a $95 exam fee but if your vet isnt open, you have not much a choice. Overall, I’d go again but hopefully I don’t have too.

Heads up! I was coming from York and Google Maps navigation doesn't take you to the right place, had to call for directions..
My poor Boxer ate a corn cob (didn't know that at the time) and my vet in PA didnt have an ultrasound and no others in the area could get him in so drove to this establishment and they were awesome. They were waiting for Stryker when I got there and they moved him to be first for ultrasounds so I could get him back to PA asap to be on his IV before they closed for the night. I was under huge financial constraints and they did everything they could to make it affordable as possible. The vet treated Stryker as he was her own.
As for PRICE, try taking your animal anywhere but here...they were at least $200 more then other places my vet quoted but I had no choice
