First time appointment requires a $90 non-refundable payment , slow but a decent service. This seems to be a clinic with high demand. The veterinarian was right about the diagnosis. A bit more expensive than other vet clinics.

We sadly had to put down our beloved 14-year old dog and we chose to do that at the vet office. The staff was amazing, kind, gentle and professional. The fees were very reasonable. Dr. Chaudhry is so knowledgeable and kind, he handle the procedure with care, no pain, and we were able to have a peaceful heartfelt send-off for our dear Ruby. Thank you!

I've been bringing my dogs here for roughly 20 years for everything to standard care to palliative care for cancer. They've helped me nurse two adoptees back to full health. This visit to check on a couple of concerns including what I suspected was a fatty mass. She was not happy to have the mass aspirated for pathology but, Dr. Shah and the staff did a great job of managing her. He called a few days later, after hours, and left a detailed message saying the mass was benign and what to watch for etc.

I arrived too late to save my little rescue parakeet (a rescued one found on the ground in my neighborhood trying to hide in a bush). He was affected by unknown causes but this animal hospital helped me as soon as they could. No appointment though protection was taken once arrived considering the COVID-19 crisis (and I was wearing a mask). While waiting outside I observed how careful the staff was to manage the influx and outflow of all kind of patients; it was touching to see that while others could find a valid excuse not to come to work during these difficult times, the staff at this location actually cares to continue serving the community. The veterinarian and staff were gracious to accommodate me even though it was merely a confirmation of my worst fears. They even gave me the choice to take back my baby parakeet girl so I can bury her in my back yard. I have no words to thank you for your humanity in this time of grief. Every little soul that comes into our life may depend on our wallet. This animal hospital made me not have to worry about the potential cost of a major intervention though I would have paid my entire paycheck to save my chirping pet; her low energy and sleeping on the bottom of the cage should have giving me enough warnings that something is not right. Thank you, I highly recommend you to anyone who shares his life with pets! In memoriam, Sammy.

I’m a first time customer and I needed to update my cats vaccines. The veterinarians themselves are wonderful and so kind. The receptionists on the otherhand have the nastiest attitudes. The one receptionists i made my appt with kept cutting me off and giving me sass whenever I asked a question. The receptionist that checked my in kept looking at me up and down and didn’t even say “can i help” she just continued to stare at me and my cat (my cat wasnt in a “proper” per carrier but he was secure and wasnt going anywhere). She didnt ask my name, pets name, time of my appt and just told me to take a seat. So rude! The appt was swift and easy but I could really do without those front desk people. I get they may be busy but it is no reason to treat people with disrespect. Shame on them!

Incredible animal hospital! I had an emergency situation with my cat. I searched all morning for a vet, but no one had any available openings. Finally, I spoke to Kim from Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. She was such a kind and caring person. She had me scheduled within 2 hours. The service was phenomenal even though having to contend with limitations from Covid. They did X-rays, blood work, gave Mittens IV fluids and pain meds to take home. The entire time I waited, staff members gave me continual updates. The doctor was very thorough with his examination. When it was time for Mittens to leave, kind Kim came out to deliver her to me. I was so impressed and happy with their care that I’ve decided to make Glen Burnie Animal Hospital my new vet.❤️

I've been here several times now and the staff has been nothing but wonderful each time. I came here during the Christmas time, and the office was super festive. My dogs were a little nervous of the vet at first, but the techs were kind and offered treats to help quell their anxieties. Dr Shah and his staff have been taking care of my several dogs for 30 years, and thats no exaggeration! If a problem comes up and he cannot solve it he will make sure you get to someone who can! Very confident that my pet(s) will be well cared for whenever the need arrises ! Staff are helpful and lovingly kind to my fur babies from my Dobermans to my Rottweilers and now my two rescue babies !

I just adopted Duke and this was his first visit to the vets. This was the first time for me taking any animal to the vets and I was nervous but I felt the warmth from staff and other patients as soon as I walked in the door. The nurse that worked with duke was so nice and genuine. Duke loved her and the doctor was great with him. I’m very glad I picked this vet. They are great with the patients and mommies and daddies.

My first experience with GBAH was astounding! Not only was I able to get an next day appointment, Julie our tech went above and beyond to accommodate my dog, she was very outgoing, knowledgeable and understanding of his problem and was able to offer resolutions very quickly! Tayshon at the front desk was also very kind and helpful. Very welcoming first experience with friendly staff, I will never go back to another vet again!

My only issue is that when they send an email to remind me of a wellness exam for my parrot, I click on the option to schedule an appointment but nobody contacts me within the time frame they quote. I request an appointment over 2 weeks ago and still have not heard back from them. Other than that, I love the place. My late mother brought her parrot and cat there and I'll continue to be a client.

My dog was sick and I could not get into my regular vet. I called them and got an appointment right away. The staff is so nice and helpful. The doctors took get care of my dog and after having to schedule a surgery he is doing great!! Everyone I have talked to or seen have been great! Dr. Shah is absolutely amazing. We have a super anxious dog. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and patient with him. They are soothing to him. We get appointments any time we need and they go out of their way to make sure our dog is healthy. Plus the office kitty is adorable.

I had a great experience with my pet Nara here, however, I felt that the communication between the staff and the customers could have been better. There were a few times where I would call for an appointment and when I would show up for that confirmed appointment, they would have no record of the scheduled appointment. Due to COVID, I could not talk to the vet/staff in person, and whenever I was given information about what is suggested, it was never with the veterinarian, always a vet tech relaying the vet's message/suggestions. I would have preferred to talk to the vet directly. There have also been a few times where I would be in the parking lot waiting to hear back from the vet and the receptionist calls in regard to *my* cat, however, I do not own a cat, and was literally just talking to this same person about my pup. The lack of communication was very worrisome to me. I also felt that I was never able to talk with the vet directly, I was given an estimate for a spay for my pup at 4 months old! I was never given any option to talk it over with the vet, I felt that this was more of a business transaction if anything. If anything, I wanted more advice/options surrounding the spay since I have found substantial evidence to delay spaying until after a dog's first birthday. Overall, I did not feel heard when regarding my pet's health and the lack of communication made me worry about what was actually happening behind the closed doors.

The staff was really very caring and friendly and they knew my name by the second visit! I never had to wait long to get to a room. My kitty had kidney failure so we had some intense work to do so she could live longer and happy. After she passed away, in 7 months, they were very very compassionate and let me take my time with giving her a shot to put her down, as she had gone into complete failure, and I was allowed to hold her in a blanket to the end. They offered me ways to save money on tests and then they offered me a bag with a handle to carry her in that was impervious to any animals getting to her, although we dug a very deep grave. Between me and them we kept her alive, comfortably for 7 months and the Dr., Dr Sherping, told me later that she really only expected her to get 3 months to live! She said that I did a great job with her, but I thought they were awesome! They put up with my tears and emergency visits and regular visits every week and they were always smiling and kind and wonderful! Thank goodness for veterinarian people who love cats and their jobs! They made a difficult time go by as smoothly as possible! I love these people and especially Dr Sherping. I always got to see her, and they never just pushed me off to different Drs! Thank goodness for them! A very comfortable and nice place!

My pup means the world to me, he randomly got ill and I rushed him to the emergency vet in Catonsville (I do not recommend them) got 2 X-rays done and was sent home. My boy was still throwing up and pooping BLOOD. But then the following day I had taken him to GB animal hospital and they figured out the problem right away with 1 X-ray!!! Sent me home with medication and Apollo went from moping around and sleeping to his playful self again within a few hours after. I highly recommend this Vet they truly care about your pets and have extremely sweet employees! I will never go to another vet again!!

I took my dog to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital for an emergency visit, and I was met with a knowledgeable and efficient staff! The staff was quick to register my dog and me, and both the front office and Dr. Shah were sympathetic to both of our anxious attitudes toward the potential diagnosis. My dog was in and out of the vet in less than an hour with a clean bill of health! I thoroughly trust the staff here to care for any pet's well being and any person's concerns!

We called and were able to get an appointment almost immediately for our dog, who had an ear infection. They came out as soon as we called to let them know we were in the parking lot, and Ajax was diagnosed and given back to me within a half hour. The medicine is already working and he's back to being playful and energetic. The were all very friendly and caring towards him.

I was so happy to find a vet that says open late. Everyone was nice. The vet was nice, quick and knowledgeable but out of my price range. This was the first time we went to this vet office since we recently moved to the area and was impressed with the staff and Dr. Ahmad Shah. The facility isn't as big as the one we're used to taking all our fur babies for the past 20 years but Dr. Shah's consultation was the longest and most informative visit any pet parents could ask for. He had taken the time to explain everything & also took the time to answer questions in layman's term. We recommend this place and will be going to this vet office from now on.

Our very first experience with the staff at the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital was when we had to bring our cat of 12 years in for treatment. He lived a long, happy life and just wasn't strong enough for the surgery that he needed to save his life. The staff was so very respectful, compassionate, and attentive to our needs. And when Mr. Chip passed away, we were surprised to receive a poem with his paw print and a sympathy card. They truly understand the difference between a pet and furry family member. The care and sympathy that they showed not only before the surgery, but after he passed was exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations. Had a wonderful experience here. My dog was bit by a tick and the wound became infected and swollen. I called several places around the area including our original vet office for an immediate walk in or appointment and they all turned me away except for Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. They got us in asap and cleaned her wound. I was impressed with the additional time the doctor took to just chat with me and calm my nerves as well as with their fair prices. This is one of the best Veterinary places I have been. Since my teacup chihuahua has not been to a vet in this area, it was difficult to find someone to take her in the same day. Glen Burnie Animal Hospital told me to bring her in as soon as I was ready... It wasn’t a total emergency but it wasn’t something I felt comfortable with waiting. My chihuahua was crying when she tried to use the bathroom and I was very concerned. When I got there, I knew I would have to wait for a bit (unscheduled walk in) but I was grateful to even be able to bring her in. Dr. Shah was so thorough and I appreciated how long he took with me and explained everything he was going to do. With it being a new Vet, I was nervous because Lenny is my baby but he made me feel comfortable. I cannot thank you enough and I will be switching Lenny’s pet records over and will use you from here on out! Thank you sooo much Dr. Shah! ♥️

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Scherping for just over 1/2 a year and he absolutely adores her and everyone that works there. This is by far the best vet that I have ever been to. The only downside is that any medications are a little bit expensive, however, the service and expertise far outweigh that cost. 10/10 would recommend.

They were nice and we're very gentle with my kitty. Shower, when it came to billing I looked at my receipt and saw a charge of 40.00 for a small empty pill bottle! I am re thinking taking my kitty back.

I always love this place. I see them with three dogs and a cat and they never fail to provide excellent care all while making sure that I'm comfortable and informed. I've had an animal go through surgery as well as just my annuals. The prices are reasonable and the care stellar! I recommend them to all of my friends and everyone else. The people here are very kind. I called on a Saturday to see if they could squeeze me in because my bunny had gotten sick all of a sudden and very quickly. Before, I had called other places and they were unable to take me, but I was delighted when they told me to come in even though they were fully booked. So first of all, the staff was very nice and accommodating. However, I am sad to say my bunny died 15 minutes after coming home to the vet. I am sure the doctors there are exceptional and they have great reviews for a reason, but I don’t think they were experienced in rabbits. After taking x-rays and checking his tummy they couldn’t find anything wrong, and told me he wasn’t in pain. He said he wasn’t going to give pain meds but I pushed for it, because I knew he was obviously in pain. One of the techs brought my bunny back and said she’s never seen a bunny this calm. He was ‘calm’ and barely moving because he was in PAIN! Anyways $400 and a half hour later he passed away. Although the vet and everyone was very kind, I can’t recommend them, at least not for exotics.

Couldn't be happier with the treatment we received at Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. We have tried to find a vet for a couple of years, we had been to two others previously and were not confident we could find a vet that had our dog and our best interest at heart. We had been putting off finding a vet for some time and getting vaccinations at the SPCA, based on past experiences. However, we found ourselves in need of a vet when our dog sprained his leg, at the time we weren't sure if it was sprained or broken and needed to find out. From the first phone call it was apparent that the staff actually cared about animals. They did their best to fit us into a schedule right away. Dr. Shah was very compassionate and professional. He was genuinely concerned about our dog and also aware of the cost of care, not recommending unnecessary procedures or products. He took his time on a very busy day to explain everything to us and was pleasant while doing so. There's not a bad thing I can say about this place, the staff, or the doctor.

Recently, I took our family cat to be put to rest, and they were very professional and courteous about it. They gave us all the time we needed. Needed an emergency visit for my cat, one of their regular patients, and they squeezed her in immediately, diagnosed her within about 30 minutes from drop off and she was back home in about an hour. The Doctor took her time explaining everything to me and it was obvious how much all of the staff in that office care. So grateful that I chose GBAH for my pet’s care, really, you should too.

We had our first visit there today. Luna, my pitt/lab mix, ate a chicken bone. Even though we hadn't been there before, they saw us immediately, within 2 hrs. They also managed her reactivity to other animals *very* well (which we will be training her for--we've only had her 3 Mos), & Luna was a real champ. A WHINY champ, but a champ nonetheless. 😂 Thanks to Dr. Choudry & staff for easing our minds.

My pups LOVE Dr Krebs! He is so gentle with them and they get so excited to see him! He makes vet visits fun! Prices are typical of all vets in the area. The staff there are very friendly. Only issue I have ever had is making an appointment via their pet portal the request doesn't always go through and when it does you don't always get a response back.

I brought my new german shepherd puppy in for her first visit, the were very friendly and the entire staff couldnt help but come in the vet room to give her a rub. As most vets are, you can tell when they want your money, but this one didnt just put meds or fees on your bill without proper forewarning or recommendations for what isnt really mandatory. I have taken my dogs to both doctors over the past 11 years. They are excellent! Their camera for inspecting the ears found a problem early and saved his hearing with laser surgery. Both of these men have great skills and show an honest concern for the dogs that is beyond compare. I wish them many years of continued success as I have never had a better experience with any other Vet. Jake Jr. is always excited when I tell him we are going to see the "Doggie Doctor" and everyone treats him with love and patience. Thanks for all you do!

The doctors here are wonderful with cats and dogs, but as a guinea pig owner I highly recommend you find another clinic who works entirely with small animals/ exotics. I don't want to give this great clinic a low star review since they're great in every other area. My guinea pig was on the verge of death and I wasn't even aware until she passed today. The vet did not mention her being in such serious condition, and I'm unsure if he caught all her symptoms at the time of the examination. I'm writing this for anyone out there who wants to do their very best by their guinea pigs.

The Veterinarians are outstanding. Very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and spoke at length with me on the phone since we can't go into the facility due to COVID-19. The front desk personnel and their customer service are absolutely horrible and should be embarrassed. I had to remind the night person - Pam - to please go in and obtain the insulin I left that morning. Her response, "Well, I wasn't here this morning." Also, on a later visit, I was to pick up RX's for my cat that had been diagnosed with pancreatitis. I arrived at 06:45pm, and the same night person picked up the phone, (while I called from outside, )and she said they were too busy to fill it and to come back the next day to pick them up (same person -- may have been in a rush to get home since they close at 07:00pm.) Just awful -- especially seeing my cat not doing feeling well at home. So disappointed and sad.

To be honest, at first I thought that because the building was dated that they may not be the best choice. I was so wrong! The doctor was wonderful. She gave a very thorough exam, and put us at ease about questions we were having. We were given tons of great information because she took the time to listen to our concerns and explain unrushed. We are impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff. They give excellent care.

I got tired of Huffard's charging me an arm and a leg so I found GBAH instead. At first glance it seems small and no-frills, but it's clean, the staff is friendly, and the care is excellent. My cat had horrible breath and it turned out she had broken a back tooth and had an infection. A cleaning and extraction cost me $700 (Huffards' would have been $2100) and she's got a clean bill of health now. I won't be going anywhere else and now my family is considering going there as well. If you are considering going here, take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. They have cameras in the room so they aren't abusing your animals. They estimate procedure costs up front for you which most places don't do so if you aren't prepared that's your fault. And of course they're going to insist on your pet having up to date shots. Other pets can't be risk because you're incompetent.

I cannot express my gratitude to the doctors and staff of GB Animal Hospital. Dr. Krebs provided outstanding care to my two dogs for many years and he and Dr. Shah showed extreme compassion and kindness at the end. The techs and admin staff are top notch and will treat your pet as if it were their own - talking to them and comforting them.

I would have given them 5 stars if the front office staff was a lot nicer & that they didn't try to charge you and arm and a leg. I will start by saying that as a first time customer (taking 2 cats) that the front office staff should give you their full attention and at least smile a little. Not this front office. I'm not sure of the One ladies name but I can honestly say she must be a very miserable person.She had a very nasty attitude and would cut you off when I was explaining what was wrong. I even tried to make her smile by saying an animal joke, no response at all. I filled out all my papers and then the young lady took me back to the room she asked me what was going on. I told her my situation and she was very polite and very sweet. You can tell she cares about animals. The vet then came in and looked over my cats. He then starts off by saying my one cat has a little tartar and that my other cat had none but he felt they should both get their teeth clean. Then after he tells me he thinks they have a stomach virus and they need to be on special ID diet food and probiotics and need to be seen back in 2 wks. Now mind you, the one visit for a first time physical was 19.00 and the other cat full payment. For this first physical there was no blood work or urine. They only did stool because of stomach issues. They only weighed them and took their temps. However, I felt he was pretty nice but not exactly the most friendly either. So, I left and went to front desk to pay. So for both of their so called physicals with one 4lb bag of the special digestion diet food and 10 cans of wet food my bill was over 400.00. You read that right, 0ver $400.00. So then I took my one cat back cause I felt he wasn't getting any better and I asked about if they thought he had a possible UTI because he started peeing outside of his litter box and that wasn't like him. Both my cats are fixed. So, I asked why they didn't do a urine as part of his physical when he was there and I was told he should have had it done and blood work. So I wanted to know if they could do it and no extra charge, they said it was to late and that I would have to pay. Mind you it was only 10 days that had passed. So, I wanted him to get better and they said they would get his urine and send it off for a culture. They took him in the back and was unable to get it so they told me how to collect it and bring it back and drop it off. They wouldn't give him pain meds or antibiotics without first getting urine done. So, I went to front and paid my bill. They charged me 54.00 for office visit and 239.00 for a urine and cult that they didn't do yet. I paid for it ands left. I had a hard time getting my cat to go in the litter box with these clear litter beads. I called and told them and they said I had to keep trying. Then I told them I wanted my money back for the urine and culture that they didn't do. So they said they would reverse it and put it back on my card. Guess what? Yep, you guessed it, they didn't do it. I had to call again and by the next day it was finally done. I decided to take my cat to another vet and they only charged me 106.00 for the office visit, urine and culture that they collected, antibiotics, pain meds, and a pill Dispensor, and a couple cans of another kind of special food for urine health. I was floored at the difference in prices. And my Visit with this vet was so much better. She was very personable and got down on the floor with my cat and was talking to him so very sweetly. What a difference. They dipped his urine and told me he had a very bad UTI and then they called me a few days later with the culture results and he was in the correct antibiotics. So, I would make calls first before taking my animals to this vet. I truly believe they are taking advantage of people because they know people will pay because they love their pets and only want the best for them. I now go to Southgate Animal Hospital and my cats see Dr Jones. She is wonderful.

I have lost 3 dogs in the past several years and the compassion and respect the staff has shown me and my pets is unsurpassed. I would never deal with any other vet hospital. We wouldn't trust any other vet with our fur babies. Dr. Shah and Dr. Krebs are passionate about what they do and it shows in their care for our pets. Specifically, my cat Cole had experienced a very mysterious abdominal infection years ago that required many visits with Dr. Shah and eventually surgery. Dr. Shah never gave up on Cole and it's been a couple years since the surgery and Cole couldn't be happier! The nurses who helped contain Cole during treatment were also very patient and gentle. I took my kitten Oreo here for a broken leg. The facility was easy to find it was very close to The Honeybee Restaurant in Glen Burnie. I found a special on the internet discounting his office visit quite a bit so I looked into their reviews and learned they were a top notch veterinary hospital so I decided to take Oreo there. There was plenty of parking and most of it was even close to the front door. Oreo was in a lot of pain so it was so nice not having to carry him that far. When we got inside we were greeted by two very nice ladies who checked us in. The wait time to see the doctor was very short and we met a very nice doctor and her assistants were behind the doors with smiles as well. Oreo was patched up within very reasonable time and sent home to recuperate. Overall, I was very pleased with the services we received and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that they failed to tell us to be sure and keep the appt Oreo had for a follow up because he’s a kitten and growing fast and may have to have several new casts over the recuperation period to accommodate his growth. We canceled that appointment because we were under the impression that it was only if he needed more pain medication and by that time he was ok without it so we waited 4 weeks and discovered on our own that the cast was squeezing his foot so tight that was now causing him a lot of pain. I’m sure it was just an oversight. It was the end of a long day and one probably thought the other told us kind of thing. I was very upset when I saw Oreos foot was being squeezed but we all make mistakes and this vet and her staff were very very good with Oreo and very kind to us. I feel bad even writing this happened because I saw the good care everyone took with Oreo and I know it was just a mistake on their part and ours. I will definitely go back in the future because Oreo was very well taken care of and loved by everyone there. Thank you Glen Burnie Animal Hospital!

Always have an amazing experience here! I don’t trust many people handling my teacup chihuahua but I do trust this place! Thank you for everything you continuously do for Lenny and I! I do have one suggestion for visits during COVID-19. Since we are not allowed to come inside, it would be really cool to have video while we wait outside. Even something as simple as FaceTime (Iphone only), GoogleDuo (for Android and Iphones) or an app created specifically for this. There are many. You could advertise “Virtual Visits” and that would definitely generate a whole lot of business but it also helps give the pet parent peace of mind. Some people may not feel comfortable not being there with their pet so they may skip out on appointments when they are truly needed. If I didn’t trust you guys, I don’t know how I would feel about not being there with lenny but I do trust you! Thanks again and just wanted to give you guys a cool idea 💡 😎

Dr. Shah and staff are the best!! They care and have compassion for the animals and always happy to answer any questions I may have. We have a Korean Jindo rescued from a dog meat farm. He has been thru a lot and they are very gentle with him.
