Dr Denning is amazing. She has cared for our 2 rescue huskies since they were found/adopted. She’s the most patient, wonderful vet and we trust her judgement completely. She takes her time, explains all options, provides cost alternatives if you need it, and is has the warmest bedside manners. She makes your animals feel as if they are part of her family as she cares for them.

You won't find a better vet. They have taken excellent care of my senior dog. Vet calls to follow up on patients progress/condition and with lab/test results. They are responsibly priced and affordable care is everything when it comes to our fur babies...they saved moto's life!! He got very sick and because he's 10yrs old every vet said stop his suffering..put him down. BUT THEY DIAGNOSED HIS RARE DISEASE AND TREATED IT!!!

I’m shocked so many ungrateful reviews , my pet would not have received a life changing foreign body obstruction surgery if it weren’t for them . I arrived and was immediately taken back for X-rays and promptly given a diagnosis . The woman that works up front (blonde petite woman) is beyond amazing and empathetic on every level , I was directed to an affordable clinic where my dog was able to get the surgery needed and We would not have been so lucky had it not been for them. I will beyond recommend .

WellPet Humane is the most thorough, compassionate and well organized clinic. Samantha last visited in 2020 when she had her rabies, but needed treatment due to a sudden turn in her health. They were able to see her when they had a cancellation. Really like the way the vet tech (Kali) first collected information on her and then took her in the back for examination. Dr. Phelps then went over her treatment plan with me, and he involved me in the decision making. A special thanks to Jordan and Stephanie too for making the appointment and billing process seamless. Highly recommend this place for anyone who considers their pet a member of the family!!

Very courteous and friendly staff as usual. The Vet was professional, explained things clearly, very kind and easy to speak with. Just be prepared to pay a higher cost for pet services due to a drastic change in their pricing. It cost me nearly $400 for pet services. I was told during my visit, this is because of new ownership and no more subsidization via the Humane Society, which generated the lower cost for pet services. Unfortunately, they do not notify clients of this change before hand, they just inform you of cost during your appointment, so it's your choice to proceed with services. Since I was already there, I went ahead and got my annual pet stuff completed.

Because sometimes a pet owner has to make the tough decision to put a beloved pet to sleep, and it’s the worst. But the caring, kind staff took great care of me and my doggo. I was delighted that they have a special room - the quiet room. A staff member walked me through the process and took my payment. I got to spend plenty of time with my sweetie. I chose to stay in the room for the procedure and hold my big baby. And that meant the world to me. And they even will made a clay paw print at no additional charge.

Our 2 cats have been patients of Dr. Rosa Denning for at least 10 years. I can't imagine taking them to another Vet, because she has taken great care of our babies, and sent one to a specialist when needed. She is kind and communicates well with us and answers all questions. I know she is a pet lover, as she has many of her own. She also is an experienced surgeon, and would trust her to always do great work. In addition, her new practice is very well staffed, and her assistant is very knowledgable.

The staff their is wonderful n caring...I had to send my dog over the rainbow today...Kayleigh (probably spelled wrong) was so caring and really made the process easier...she is really meant to work in this field she is awesome The dr was also kind n gentle n spent extra time to make it easier on my dog...the new office manager Sharon is the best thing ever..she really does care unlike most managers...and she even helped out with us during our grieving..I would recommend wellpet anyday...they care n it's not about money...

Definitely one of the kindness staffs I've encountered at a veterinary hospital. The price was about average. They were able to get me an appointment much earlier than my previous vet so, I went with them. I'm very happy and my pets are much better because of their care.

This place is amazing. Our poor cat had gotten hurt somehow under his collar. No one was aware for days until after it had already become infected and worse than that, a flying insect managed to lay eggs in the wound and they had hatched. I can't describe my guilt and horror for our beloved pet, Shadow. From appointment scheduling, to check-in, to examination, treatment & procedure, check- out and not least of all PRICING...this place was AMAZING! We paid 176$ for everything, that includes anesthesia and pain meds to take home. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Malle or this facility. I highly recommend WellPet to anyone needing quality veterinary care at an affordable rate. Every member of the staff treated my pet and my family with compassion and professionalism. 5 stars without question. They don't take payments however.

We've taken multiple pets here for years. The vets are very attentive and nice. The front staff is always bad, I see a new person almost every time and they never know what they're doing or they're rude and disorganized. However the actual vet care is good and more affordable than many places.

You may read mixed reviews on WellPet but I have taken my 4 year old rescue here since she was a baby and my new addition comes here too. Just finished annual check up. I made an appt., we were on time, vet tech and the veterinarian were both thorough and treated my girl with upmost love and care. The package for exam and shots was affordable and I used a $25 off coupon special for January appt. No complaints and we can walk up the sidewalk to The PAWSTAND for her favorite treats afterwards. Double win!!!

If you are looking for a vet's office that wont guilt and shame you out of all your money, this is a great place to start. They are chill, always look for ways to save you money, and the office is clean and professional. Oh and there is a cool pet food store next door that plays rad music :)

After being taken advantage of at another vet, I went to WellPet Humane and was very thankful for the professional service and respect of the staff. The cost was about 60% less than the other vet I went to and that was an eye opening experience. This is a fantastic clinic and it appears to me that they care about their work and most importantly care about their customers. If you are wondering where to take your pets this is absolutely the place. Appointments are a week or so ahead but they do offer walk in service. If you walk in, please be patient because so many people come for walk in and obviously appointments take priority. Even if you have to wait, is is well worth the time (I did and I am thankful that I did)

I came across an old email from WellPet while purging an old account from Gmail, and became awash with happiness from the experience I had with them - little did they know, they would save a precious life that day they contacted me. I feel I owe it to them to post about it... Almost exactly 5 years and 6 months ago, I reached out to anyone who I could find, after stumbling upon a tiny (I mean pebble) sized kitten in the woods of North GA. She was shaking, malnourished, maybe 3 weeks old (if that), with a horrible infected left eye. I was young, and broke, and had NO clue how to take care of an animal in this condition - let's be honest, I was lucky if I could boil water for my ramen at that point. I called about a dozen charities and shelters that day, just looking for anyone who could help me figure what to do with the tiny kitten. Thank God an angel of a woman named Kim, called me back. She calmed me down over the phone and send me a lengthy email with instructions for treating the wound (again, no money and I didn't want her to be put down at a shelter). And man, was this thing gruesome! Poor little baby. She would have certainly died had it not been for the kind folks at WellPet, specifically Kim, who took the time to speak to a young kid just trying to do the best she could. She saved a life that day...and that little life saved ME. Thank you, x1000. You are all angels. P.S. That little pebbled-sized kitten is all grown now. They literally saved my fur baby life and had great pricing.I was sent away from bluebell vet clinic in Sandy springs because of the pricing while she was she in so much pain. I was calling all over the place all through out the night for hospitals that can help my baby but the price were over 4000 and I’m an independent college student so finances are so tight.So when I called when they opened up, they were so sympathetic and understanding.everyone other place I called caught an attitude and didn’t even give me any recommendations. The lady at the front desk was so kind and instead me waiting a long time for a wait they took my cat right away when they saw how serious it was. Quick. Trustworthy. Straight-forward. After talking to their receptionist around 4pm yesterday, explaining my dilemma, she was able to get me in this morning @ 9am to be seen (as a new patient) for less than $60! At this point I had spent several $100s on opinions from different vets and was shocked at the quality of service and reasonable pricing. Couldn't have been much more than 5 mins in the waiting room before they escorted us back to be examined. They were patient, upfront and honest about prices of services, time frames, necessary steps to take and any questions I had. They were able to squeeze my pup in to their schedule for last minute surgery this Friday..!! for a fraction of the cost I was repeatedly quoted. I was in a truly hopeless situation before I was referred to WellPet. It's because of this that my old pup will live a little more comfortable life in his remaining years. I have been bringing my dogs here for years. I rate 4 stars because there is a high turn over in staff. I have had some great doctor and great techs and some ok. This is a busy vet office so be prepared with your questions before you come. Overall I have had a really good experience here. It is far more affordable than some private vet offices in my opinion.

We found a 4 weeks old kitten, covered in poop and so sick that he couldn't even run. We scooped him up and took him to our vet. They suggested that he wouldn't have a normal life and that we should put him down. We decided to get a second opinion and were referred to WELL PET HUMANE. The vet immediately recognised his rare condition: atresia ani. The planets aligned and he went straight to surgery to fix the problem. Recovery has been extremely complex and difficult but this kitten is finally able to have a bowel movement on his own which is basically a miracle. Dr. Leck and the staff were absolutely incredible. Kind, empathetic, very diligent, and knowledgeable THEY ARE TRULY AMAZING. However, I'd like to really give special thanks to Dr. Leck for being patient and not giving up when we almost lost hope. Phillip (our kitten) has made progress but he will probably have special needs for the rest of his life. Even though we were not planning on adopting another cat (since we have a few already), Phillip is part of our family. THANK YOU DR. LECK. THANK YOU Well Pet Humane. I have been coming here for 3 years! My first visit, my smaller dog was but my a German Shepard and we came at 7 AM on a Saturday (he was bitten Friday). X-rays we’re done and luckily the doctor said nothing was broken nor did he stitches but he did give me antibiotics- all that plus the visit cost me $173. WITH XRAYS INCLUDED. At Banfield I’d probably get charged 3xs more just for x-rays. I love that the prices are affordable. Unfortunately, I do feel as if the prices have been increasing. My dog went for a rabies shot this week and the “package” (rabies, heart worm test, visit) was $135. It doesn’t make sense but to be honest it’s still the most affordable place I know. In addition to that, the other reviews aren’t lying- it’s hard to get someone on the phone. It took me about 3 days straight to make an appointment. A friend says that respond to emails as well but I haven’t tried that method of making an appointment. Other than those two things, Wellpet is amazing! They have always shown care for my pets and trust me my pets caN be a hassle but they always have patience. Shout out to everyone and for this last visit I remembered Natasha’s name! She and the doctor were awesome !

My two kittens were seen promptly at their appointment time. The vet tech was very nice and efficient and handled the kittens skillfully and professionally. The kittens were there to receive shots and combo tests. I was offered various services and provided the price of each service and a total cost for each cat. I selected the procedures that I wanted provided. Following the treatments, the physician discussed her assessment of the kittens and answered our questions. I was pricing was an excellent value for the excellent service that my kittens received. In past years, I have used WellPet Humane for neuterings and vaccinations of community cats and have always be pleased. I will continue returning to WellPet Humane !

I brought my dog here today to check him out because he had been vomiting. I found each staff member I encountered to be very kind and compassionate. The vet came in and went over everything thoroughly with me. Asked a lot of questions and LISTENED. She treated my dog very gently in the exam and had a great demeanor to calm a nervous dog. What I also liked was that she gave me options to consider and did not want to over-great my dog as I find many places do. I was very impressed and the price was very reasonable.

Wonderful staff and facility - been taking my cats and dogs here for over 10 years now and really rely on them. The costs is fair and lowest compared to big brand vets, they used to not do reservations but has started now, making things much easier and timely. Dr. Phelps is the best!

I brought my dog in for shots and sadly, my very sick cat. From the time I walked in to when I left the staff (Brett, Dr. Male, and the others ) were extremely kind, professional, accommodating, and compassionate. My dog was treated very well and explained everything in detail. My cat had to be euthanized and they again were very compassionate, explained everything, laid out all of my options, answered all of my questions and allowed all the time I needed to spend with my cat. They also took all of the precautions needed for COVID-19. The bill was reasonable and their on-line pharmacy is very convenient. Will definitely continue to recommend WellPet Humane.

I was very impressed with my recent visit. My vet that I had used for over 15 years decided to close their doors without any warning and my dog was needing to have a prescription filled immediately. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. The visit was excellent - vet tech was very nice and the doctor was informative and quick at getting the exam completed. The cost was reasonable and I would highly recommend this practice.

WellPet is fantastic! I spent 1 minute in the waiting room before being brought back. From there everyone was knowledgeable and personable. I went in on a budge with my injured cat and they worked with what I could afford and gave me ideas for things I could treat myself at home. It's a 25 minute drive for me, but they were so great they will now be my permanent vet.

I have a very nervous breed of dog that is not good with strangers. I was worried that they would not be able to handle him, or that he would need a muzzle/to be sedated. This was his first time at the vet, and they were great with him. They were able to look at his teeth, take blood, and give him multiple shots with little fuss. They offered me a very reasonably priced package which included two shots, a heart-worm test, and a fecal matter panel. I am so glad that I chose to take my pup to WellPet. The wait wasn't bad either - no more than 10 minutes. They were able to schedule me a day in advance, and the lobby was very calm. My normally nervous dog was very relaxed for almost the entire time. I'm going to make sure I tell everyone about this place. Thanks guys!

This is a low cost clinic, which is must-visit if you do rescue. Great vets, value. The slots get filled up but it's really better to get an appointment. They do take walk ins but come early and you might have to pay a little extra. Emergency cases are given top priority, which is understandable. I only wish they can do hospitalization and keep patients overnight. Since they don't do that I still end up at costly specialist hospital.

Great service very professional and affordable. The vet was caring and TALKED ME OUT OF SPENDING MONEY, and gave me cheaper now effective options. Love this place. I would recommend wellpet to anyone because they will treat your pet right, and they really make me feel like they really care about my pets. They completely changed my assumptions about vets. I had those assumptions because of what I experienced. They have truly changed my perspective, and I will never take my pets anywhere else.

WellPet is amazing. The care their staff gives to animals is wonderful. While there can be a long wait even when you have an appointment, the techs and vets are great. They explain things, go over pricing if thats a concern and answer questions thoroughly. I've been to the urgent care, wellness, and surgery for my dogs and all sides give such great customer service but more importantly they've always treated my dogs with care.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. I was needing a new vet for our 7y/o blue pittie girl and hadn’t found a place I liked or trusted in Atlanta. My first visit was during quarantine and I was not allowed inside. I was super uneasy about this as she can be a ball of nerves at the vet. The check in process was easy. They call you when checking on the reason for visit and recommendations, you speak to the actual doctor with their findings, treatment methods and suggestions, and then you checkout over the phone. I did not feel rushed while speaking to them. They were busy and they took their time explaining things and answering any questions I had. The staff was super friendly and my dog is usually timid around new people. My dog went right up to her and they were on their way. It’s pretty affordable too. I’m overall happy with our initial visit, and even though it’s 30-45 mins away from my house, I’ll drive that distance for the quality service I received. Every penny it worth it.

This facility came highly recommended by pet owners. One of my dogs needed vaccinations. Before going I called to find out about pricing, hours, directions and how the facility operated. My questions were answered thoroughly and politely. I didn't feel rushed or a sense of aggravation from the person who answered the phone. Great beginning! When I entered the clinic area ,I was welcomed warmly. I was given all information upfront and there were no surprises. Dr. Casey Tift examined my dog and administered the vaccines. She was attentive to the needs of my dog and answered all my questions. All of the staff there were very pleasant. The prices are very reasonable which is important when money is tight. It seems that they want our pets to get the care they need.

I took my 6 year old cat to this clinic last week. The vet tech tech was very friendly and and explained in detail the process and prices for the services. The lady doctor was knowledgeable and friendly. Their prices are definitely more affordable then other places. It seems as if they genuinely care about well being of your pet. Great veterinarian care for your pets at reasonable and affordable rates! And that prescription costs are reasonable. The only Con's are sometimes even with an appointment you have a long wait. One time I went three times and they still didn't diagnose my dog back injury I ended up taking her to a different bed where she was diagnosed on site with a back injury. But to be completely Fair we were not able to see our regular veterinarian.

A friend refer me to this place to get a second opinion for my 11 year old dog who has a tumor in left ear and the staff was EXTREMELY compassionate, kind, gentle, and super pet friendly. I came in for a consultation and ended up switching my dogs documentation to well pet humane. Doctor explained into detailed the treatment plan before surgery and what we need to focus first before moving forward! Everyone was really nice and professional. Looking forward to bring my pet soon for follow ups.

Great staff and wonderful care. The only thing is the wait time for a walk in, which was about 2 and a half hours. Plus I'm pretty sure they skipped me for some reason at least once. I definitely came in before a certain group of people, but they went before me. Other than that it was still a overall good experience. Prices are very reasonable. The doctor was helpful and the staff was attentive to me, and sweet to my puppy. According to the site they only take walk ins on Saturday, but people came in with appointments as well, so that was confusing. I'll be returning, but with an appointment this time. Oh and the facility's are very well taken care off!

I had a great experience bring my dog to WellPet for his annual shots. While there the vet also treated him for an ear infection. The vet and vet assistant went above and beyond to make sure my dog was given the best care possible. They explained all procedures and costs up front, allowing me to chose what was the best for my dog. The office staff was friendly and prompt when checking in and out. The pharmacy had our prescriptions ready as soon as we checked out, no waiting and took the time to explain each prescription to me. I will definitely be using WellPet from now on for all my dogs needs!

Doctors are very knowledgeable and staff are very courteous and also knowledgeable. My dogs responds to them very well which is surprising because one of my dogs does not allow me to look inside her ears and and mouth and touch certain parts of her body. After my last visit my dogs had an ear infection and skin irritations. After the second treatment I could see a big difference in their health. Now they are happy and rest throughout the day and night. Cost is reasonable also.

WellPet is awesome! I got there right at 8 am and despite having two booked appointments and two others in front of me, I got my pet into the office by about 8:20. The tech and doctor were both super friendly and helpful. It is clear that they love pets and what they do. The receptionist was also helpful and very friendly. High recommendations!!

My puppy got sick this morning and my regular vet told us to come see the emergency vet. I had heard great things about WellPet and we rushed over. At 9 am they took as a walk in, and good Lord. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff. They made me feel very reassured, and were so wonderful with our puppy. They explained every thing to me in a way that I felt reassured and not as if they were talking down to me. They were gentle, kind, and friendly. Our fur baby is already feeling better and it is all thanks to them. The cost of everything was even a bonus, we were expecting to pay at 2,000 dollars, and it was less than 200! We will be returning to WellPet Humane for all of our visits. I'm sad it took us this long to bring him to their office. Their facilities are spotless, and if I could them a hundred out of five states I would. I visited today and was so impressed with how friendly, knowledgeable and professional all the staff are here! Our wonderful tech Kiri and Doctor Tift were so pleasant and smiling even behind masks! Speaking of which, this office is obviously very serious and thorough with social distance, cleaning between each patient, and a firm mask policy. Way to go guys! Wellpet Humane has been great with my fur-babies. Unfortunately, for my first visit, we took our old family pet here to be euthanized; he had cranial cancer. Before the procedure, he had already passed on the table. The staff had prepared him to be buried, had him wrapped up and placed in a recyclable carrier. About a week later, I had received a thoughtful card. We had rescued a very neglected pup and brought her here one weekend pre-covid as a walk-in to get evaluated. I initially thought she was young; through her initial evaluation, she was between 4-6 years. As she spent majority of her life wandering the streets, we had her checked for everything. The doctor and staff here made sure she was comfortable and even her nails trimmed. Prices for vaccines and medications are reasonable. Be prepared for long wait times if you're not here early! Saturdays are one of their busiest days. Walk-ins are at the Wellness Clinic. Appointments are at the Urgent Care side. You can also order your pets' medications online!

WellPet Humane was recommended to me and I've been taking my dog there since she was a pup. The pack has grown in 4 years and I would never take my dogs anywhere else. The staff is incredible and they take time to do thorough exams. You can not beat the prices for the service you get. For people complaining about the urgent care wait, if you walk in anywhere you'd have to wait. I've had a handful of walk in appointments and never waited more than 30 minutes. They've always called to follow up within a day or two to see how my girl was doing. For the attention and time they dedicate, it's completely worth the wait. I can not praise WellPet Humane enough. As long as I live in Atlanta, I'll never go elsewhere.

Was referred by my mom after having a great experience with her elderly Chihuahua. I went with our 8 month old kitten, and not only did they do his surgery for neutering, but also notified us of his hernia, fixed that, and got his ears cleaned and feeling much better after an itchy bout of ear buildup. Last year I gave it 5 stars because I took our 3 cats for annual rabies vaccination ( August 2018) and it was a walk in, quick and inexpensive - waited less then 5 minutes in the lobby. Well Pet Humane charged for the vaccines, did not charge for the physical exam. That time I saved +$ 150 dollars, because other vets would charge $ 50 - $ 70 dollars per pet only for the exam. But now WellPet Humane has new ownership and things changed a lot. Each appointment exam costs $65 and it is now by appointment only - not walk-in. They are doing business as other vets in the area and people will need to shop around to compare services and pricing.

My husband and I woke up to our pup coughing and vomiting, she wouldn't open her eyes all the way, and she wasn't eating or drinking water. Needless to say we were worried. my dog had a foreign object in his small intestine. was at another emergency vet who wanted to charge $5.5k for surgery. ive been to WPH before for check ups/shots, so i reached out to them for a second opinion and an estimate. i left a voicemail, which they followed up within a couple of hours with more information. though their estimate wasn't as comprehensive, it was much cheaper. ended up going in the next day for a consultation. luckily my dog managed to pass the object and i did not need to move forward with surgery. while discussing with the staff and doctor, they were thorough, kind, and thoughtful. from the reception i spoke with over the phone, the nurse i chatted and discussed with, and the doctor - everyone was amazing and i am so thankful. ive been going to WPH for a couple of years now, but this experience really solidified my love for them.

Well Pet Humane absolutely saved me this past week and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for quality veterinary surgical care. My rescue dog who was supposed to be spayed when I got her turned out to not be. She had a litter of puppies which I found amazing homes for. Unfortunately, I found myself in a position where I needed to get her spayed and because of her unique circumstances, I had run into challenges trying to have a simple surgery done. I had waited a combined 3 weeks for appointments with other clinics in the Atlanta area which ended up not being the right choice for us. I called Wellpet Humane who was able to get my dog in the following day for a procedure that required special considerations than just a routine spay. They were amazing there. My dog decided to turn into a real pill after I dropped her off and I received a call asking if I would be able to come back and assist them with getting a muzzle on her as well as administering the first round of pre-op sedative which I was more than happy to do. This also let me see their surgery center first hand. I was very impressed with the professional setup they have there. There were plenty of truly caring tech there assisting the surgeries and the doctors looked like they could have be en in the surgery center at any people hospital around. They were amazing and I would trust them to do any surgical procedure in the best possible fashion. Not to mention their prices... our surgery could have easily ran into the thousands and ended up costing just over $300. They followed up to make sure my dog was recovering well too. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place.

Sometimes the wait can be long, even with an appointment, but it is a walk-in style clinic, so patience is required. Because they can get so busy, I'd recommend a smaller veterinarian's office for more attentive and personalized care for pets that are truly sick.

WellPet gets 5 STARS for their mission, helping people with limited incomes take care of their pets, plus having an excellent expert staff. I totally recommend them for this! However, they only get 3 STARS for their service with my experience there . . . If you have something complicated wrong with your pet that requires more than a 10-minute diagnosis, I recommend you go elsewhere. I heard this same thing from another person there in the waiting room with their old dog, and sadly it’s true. I have a rescue dog with extreme urinary incontinence problems, and after multiple visits to WellPet, procedures, tests, prescribed drugs – no answer – and basically a shrug of the shoulders from every Vet there. I then took him to another Vet, who took their time with him and found it was kidney disease, and he’s now doing better with the right drugs and help. WellPet had every opportunity to diagnose this but didn’t - did all the same tests and more. Though their doctors are usually so backed up and overworked, I’m sure if given enough time, they might have done better. Also in their defense, I had a large growth taken off the inner eyelid of another dog there, and they did an excellent job. You can’t even tell she ever had it! And it cost hundreds, as opposed to the thousands a specialist Vet was asking for the same surgery. So, I’ll still be taking my dogs there, but only for the basics.

Alright, I never write reviews, but I have to write this one. My girlfriend and I visited WellPet for the first time today, and they were simply awesome. I am updating this review. We have been coming here for years. The staff is nice. We decided to change because the value was no longer worth the wait, even with an appointment. It became more of a hassle to get in and my dogs were super stressed because we were packed in. We have healthy dogs so we have to decided to go to an individual vet. Pleasantly pleased with the value there. This place serves a purpose, it is just not the exceptional value it once was. Both prevention and emergency/surgical treatments. Be prepared to wait. They havn't quite got a good system in place.

Dr Leck was not only amazingly knowledgeable, she also went above and beyond to research and then give options within our budget, She spent a lot of time with us, as well, doing her best to answer my questions. I am not sure how all of these people have had such negative experiences here. I brought my 1 year old cat here for a simple examination relating to a urinary tract infection. I was given the lowest rate possible for examinations, the sign in process was quick and easy, and the reception staff was very warm and friendly. Within 20 minutes my cat was brought back for a pre-examination to determine there was no immediate threat to his health, and ultimately only had to wait about 45-60 minutes in total to be seen. All of the staff and personnel were warm, friendly, and showed the utmost care for me and my animal. I even got a free nail clipping. They worked with me to get to a cost that was relatively affordable and I can only assume any other clinic would have cost 2 or 3 times as much. I give this clinic 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone!

Updating this review. The care is a hit or miss now with it being affordable veterinary care. They no longer do an income sliding scale. Unfortunately I would not recommend them for dental cleaning as there are many other clinics that can perform it for way cheaper without losing quality care. This clinic is good for basic items like vaccines, illness, and euthanasia. I don't think I could recommend them for emergencies given how busy they are. Many people dislike the wait but they are a clinic that takes in walk in based by emergencies. They offer low cost vaccines during certain times and have a store.

Not only does the sliding scale help those in need of care for their pets at a lower cost, it also allows those who can afford already reasonably priced care for their pets to give back and donate to WellPet. Dr Carglile and Dr Phelps (and probably the rest of the vets) haven’t had the pleasure to meet them all yet) are personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly vested in your pet and make you feel at home and secure in the fact that your pet is getting great care. They provide emergency services, vaccinations, spay, and are proactive when it comes to maintaining a healthy pet. They will work with you and give you a treatment plan from full service to bare bones depending on your needs. I truly wish more vet hospitals would follow this business plan and really be in the field for the love of the animals instead of some doing it for the big paycheck they get. I had a great first experience at Well pet. We usually take our dog to the mobile Shot Vet on weekends. Circumstances caused me to look up a new vet. I went there and was seen within an hour and half( it's a walk-in clinic and I arrived a bit late). The visit itself was pretty quick and inexpensive. Their prices are better about equal to ShotVet because they don't give you the lil rabies tag and you have to order it yourself $25.

I have taken my cat to several vet clinics, and I can say this is one of the honest places where you do not get ripped off because you are worried about your pet and willing to do anything to get him better. Dr. Hill only did what was necessary and did not try to scare me by mentioning remote possibilities. Took both of our dogs to Wellpet today, think that was our 3rd annual wellness visit. I had no problem scheduling our appointments last week, over the phone. We had an 8am and an 8:20am appt., and were taken back quickly. The vet tech, Natasha, was friendly and calm, and took detailed notes re: my concerns about each dog. The vet, Dr. Carglile (sp?), was very kind, took her time, and clearly enjoyed meeting my dogs and examining them. I was given pros and cons about bloodwork, certain vaccinations, teeth cleaning, and never felt like I was getting a hard sell. Everything went smoothly and we waited for results of fecal tests (I brought in their morning samples), and were back in the car by 9:25am. I understand that some folks have not had a good experience there, and I am sorry to hear that. I don't think many establishments can please everyone all the time, but as for my experience today, I was pleased.

Our Tiger has a bad tooth, with painful facial swelling, horrid odor, bleeding gums and severe pain. He had started isolating. We have gone to WellPet for our dogs for years in the past so we already knew they were just SO awesome. The front office staff is incredibly friendly and informative. As are the Nurses and PAs. Dr Kissel, an owner of 4 cats himself, was amazing with Tiger. He knew how to handle him. Very gentle but thorough. He was also very clear with us and took time to answer any and all questions. Tiger isn’t a social cat and we were afraid for the staff when they took him for blood work. But they said he was great, no issues!! That says so much about how they spoke to and handled him. He got antibiotics, and 2 pain meds and he goes back for surgery in a month. The only way we could possibly be happier, is if they were closer to our home. But it’s worth the trip. ❤️

I have two dogs who needed a health checkup and vaccination updates. Dr. Kissel and his Veterinarian Technician, Demetrius, were very professional and gentle with my dogs and to my pocket book. They cared about my pets, they were very kind and took the time to check my dogs health and vaccines. They also gave me the option of not getting something my pets do not need right now. The visit cost me less than any other Veterinarian clinic in Atlanta metro I’ve been to in all my years living here and the service was top-notch. She had a surgical emergency, they made her fit in their schedule, and i was able to get her surgery for a quarter of a price compared to the emergency vet hospitals... very thankful for all the kind staff whos so caring... one downside is that im on hold forever before i can get someone on the phone lol but i can take any day... thank you for saving my dogs life!! excellent service, excellent price. quality of care is NOT compromised for the price! My dog was due for his vaccinations and I had to rush to take him in. Decided to give this place a try and I was not disappointed! The wait time for walk-ins can be a little long but that's to be expected. If you get there early in the morning however it only took about an hour and a half to get in and out. The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful and the vet and vet tech were incredibly patient with my very nervous pupper. The prices are insanely reasonable for what you're getting. My dog got 3 vaccines, a heartworm test and meds, a nail trim, and a dose of benadryl for just over $100. You can't beat that! Top that off with amazing staff that actually takes their time with your fur baby and you've got a hit!

I have just good things to say about Wellpet Humane. It’s very affordable we were recommended thru a friend as our former veterinarian was super expensive and we we given an expensive test for my dog’s condition. Since the beginning we were explained all the different options and what was the best. We were able to give our dog with a great life for the last three years even though he had a liver issue and developed diabetes on the last 6 months. Dr Orlin is great we were able to keep contact and I was able to ask any time by email and have quick responses. We had to put him to sleep once his condition got bad. But are very thankful for the way Dr. Orlin helped with our daughters explaining them the situation and what was the best for our dog. For this being one of the worst days she really made it in a very HUMANE way for our dog.

Dr. Pieracci is the best! I went here for the first time after I could no longer afford my dog's super expensive vet's charges. That office actually referred me here and I'm so glad they did! The wait was long but not only was it more affordable, but Dr. Pieracci treated my dog as if she were her own. Cannot say enough about how great they are at WellPet! Discounted prices but 100% top notch care. My baby who is a 5lb Chihuahua just turned seven and was behind on vacs and heartworm prevention for over 6 months and I was a nervous wreck. He also makes it nearly impossible to trim his nails but they did it all. The doctor was great but I have to mention Emily P. who was the vet tech. She really put me at ease and was great with my little man. Thankfully he had a great checkup but honestly I liked that she did not let me off the hook and stressed the importance of heartworm prevention etc. She even shared an experience she had with her own pet. Vet care is not cheap in general and thankfully WellPet made it possible for him to have top notch care. After all vaccines, heartworm testing, full exam, and six months or heartworm prevention and flea prevention I spent next to nothing compared to other facilities I had quotes from. I urge you to check them out and even if it is a drive, please know it is well worth it. Lastly, don't let the walk in policy scare you. It was a breeze and very fast. Thank you Emily P. They are great for the price! It's basically first come first served for the vaccines, so you need to get there early, and there can be quite a long wait, but they don't charge you an arm and a leg. Because there are so many people and pets there at one time, it can be a little chaotic at times, but everyone seems to get along. The teeth clean is probably about half the price of other vets' when you count all of the extra add-on charges the other vets charge. Owning a dog is not cheap, but WellPet Humane really helps out. This way people on limited incomes can stretch to give their pets good health care...they are family! They are building a new facility, and I am sure will have more room, so things won't be so crowded. I am really thankful for WellPet Humane and their staff for the great job they do!!!

I've called twice to make an appointment and was put on hold for 30+ minutes so I ended up hanging up the phone both times. I also emailed and no one got back to me. I had to do a walk-in and they were able to take me in an hour half later and that was fine. BUT everyone here is friendly and helpful. The prices are decent and would definitely would recommend this place to others if you are willing to wait a while in the lobby and phone. Hopefully they'll come up with a better system soon to fix these issues.

I went to Wellpet Humane this morning for my cat who was showing signs of a UTI and everyone was so incredibly nice and helpful! I didn't have an appointment but only had to wait about an hour which was totally reasonable. I was given a private room half an hour after waiting which made the experience very comfortable. The prices are very affordable! I got a urinalysis, exam and 3 different medications for the UTI and it was only $140! I highly recommend this place. Very professional and respectful staff!

First visit here to urgent care Sat morn. Id called friday afternoon to make appt and was told to walk in early Sat morn. I arrived at 9. Nice lady in the front got my info and waited maybe 10 min at most before going back to room. Vet tech Tasha helped us right away and the vet, Dr Phelps soon came into the room to see my dog. He took his time with us and gave a couple of different options. I received a written quote for surgery if i decide to go with that option. Very pleased with the staff and level of care. It was so convenient to get RX right there in the office.

My 10 y.o. 7lb female yorkiepoo started urinating in the home and shaking non-stop. I had been painting so I thought it was anxiety from all the movement of furniture, etc. When it didn’t subside I took her to VCA emergency hospital here in Atlanta. They did some bloodwork and xrays ($580) to find she had pyometra which is a uterine infection unspayed dogs can get. The doctor advised me that the surgery ($1400) plus hospitalization ($1100/day) should be done ASAP. Her condition was bad. Knowing my dog, I would agree with this. However, I could not afford it. I also didn’t have the credit to apply for the “payment assistance” options like scratchpay. Altho I had a carecredit card, I wasn’t approved for an increase. In this moment, my dog is back in my arms and I’m sitting outside the vet, balling my eyes out because I can’t afford to save my dogs life. My best friend of 10 years could die soon. As I scramble on my phone searching for low cost vets still performing surgeries (this is during covid-19 mind you), hours have passed. And I can tell my baby is lethargic and in pain. And then I find WellPet Humane. They quoted me a price that was 1/5 of the price of VCA! Not only that, they admitted my baby after the surgery cut off time. A nurse, Chasity, stayed after hours to discharge her. The doctor and nurses at WellPet are in this business for the right reasons. You have to have a heart for animals to make exceptions and sacrifices like that! They saved my child’s life! Final total was $966. This included the surgery plus a breast tumor removal and meds. All for less than the surgery alone at VCA. AND my baby recovered so well she didn’t even need the expensive aftercare that VCA required. I will forever be thankful for this place, and although it’s 35 mins from my house I will make the trip for my dog’s healthcare from now on. They don’t overcharge and they still give you the topnotch care that those expensive vets claim they have. They are angels!

The Staff is friendly and professional. Their vaccination clinic is walk-in only, so be prepared to wait. However, the professional care and savings in cost is worth the wait. They have a full pharmacy so you can get everything your pet needs at one location. They keep a medical history and follow up with you on results via phone.

When I moved to Atlanta I was looking for somewhere inexpensive to take my faithful fur friend and my boss recommended Wellpet. At first I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but now I've gone multiple times for my Schnoodle and Yorkie. The staff is super friendly, straight forward, honest and helpful. One example of this is they took back one of our dogs to do his nails and he was NOT having any of that, so they brought him back and didn't charge me at all. We have been coming here since I adopted my Labrador pup from Fur Kids in 2016, and I'm so thankful they exist. I remember he had a hernia on his tummy and it was getting worse because he'd lick it and Banfield wanted to charge me over $400 bucks to get it "checked". WellPet was recommended by a woman in Pet Smart, and Dr. Cargyle gave me some wipes that we used 2-3 times a day for about 10 days...his tummy healed right up, and you can't even tell it was open and bleeding! For half of what Banfield was charging, I got him a dental exam/cleaning, full shots, heartworm and flea meds, as well as his wipes. He also loved playing with the staff...I think it's because they called him handsome. My only wish is that your team can put some trash bags out in the parking lot for the poop, and some doggy treats in the bowl that's always empty, and a water station, if possible? I know owners abuse this, but it's a real benefit when we come for appointments. If possible...otherwise, the care you give is worth way more to us pet parents who need quality care for an affordable price. Thank you!

This morning I went in with my 3 dogs as a walk in to the Wellness side of Wellpet. From the moment the door opened promptly at 8 the well oiled machine that is this practice started humming. Everyone from the front desk staff to the vet techs, vet and pharmacy staff know their roles, know how to get people and pets to the right places for best service and how to avoid dog to dog conflict by managing patient flow in the facility. I was in and out in 55 minutes flat with all 3 getting Heartworm tested, a full battery of shots and examined. The vet tech was very helpful in working with me on what is appropriate for my dog’s (they don’t board or go to play groups so can skip 1 particular vaccine) in order to get the most economical vaccine packed they offer. If not for Wellpet’s fair pricing for their service I could not afford to have all 3 of my pets and keep them healthy. I highly recommend this practice to all pet owners.

This is not what i want for my best froend so i found a new and WAY better vet for A LOT LESS money...I reviewed the new vet if you are interested They responded here asking that I call...i did and even after hitting 0 for operator several times i never got a human, Sorry I would no longer recommend this vet there is at least one far better and less pricey only 5 miles away...its in mt reviews. Amazing experience here. Our dog was given a diagnosis of pyometra & needed immediate surgery. Unfortunately we couldn't allow our vet to start the procedure as the est. was $1400 due that day. They recommended Wellpet Humane. I knew they are a busy facility & may not be able to schedule her quickly enough but I had to try. We did a walk-in appt next day for consultation. She had the surgery performed by them the next day!! We were new patients & they knew we there because we couldn't afford our vet. Our vet tech found elective surgery patients who were willing to reschedule and talked to the vets working the next day to see if they would be able to perform what could be a very complicated surgery. The bill was est. less than half what we were told originally. Once under they found the infection had cleared on its own & were able to perform an uncomplicated spay procedure for her & they dropped the price down accordingly as well. Very caring people and will be forever grateful for their efforts. Their surgery intake seems hectic but it's really not. Everyone is getting their own vet tech and they're individually going out to make sure you know what's happening, they have the right animal, the right procedure listed, & nothing has happened overnight to put the animal at higher risk while under. As far as the surgery techs demeanour 10/10 considering it's b4 8am, you're surrounded by sick animals & their anxious owners, trying to have a 1×1 convo while new patients are walking in and other patients are being taken to the back against their will etc etc. Appointment requires $25 deposit. Walk-in is $5-10 higher. Consultation with vet was $49 I believe, & should be an expected charge when going to a vets unless you're an established patient doing routine labs grooming etc. The consultation at the first vet was $110. They won't tell you surgery prices over phone but for us it was literally as cheap as a medical procedure could have been. I have no idea how these Dr.s have paid off med school but thank God for them & the work they do (& their staff)

First time going here and had an appointment, but someone didn't show up for work, so my very nervous tiny puppy and I had a long wait before being seen. I really think the lady behind the desk could have interacted better, kept me informed, been nicer. I was not told/ warned to keep my puppy off the floor in the waiting area for safety purposes to protect him from what other dogs might have left behind (his innoculations have not been completed) until after we went into the actual exam room. So to keep him occupied and try to stop his whining, we walked all around in there. Why isn't there a sign out front stating not to let unimmunized pups on the floor?! A lot of people don't realize this. I also think the place could have a better interior. Very dark and drab. Otherwise, the doctor was good, as was his assistant. I got what we needed... had to ask for water for my puppy, which they got eventually. Some thoughtfulness is missing in there, in general. Overall, just ok.

HORRIBLE PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE, had my pup nuder and need information after his surgery on his wound discoloration and swelling. Could not get anyone on the phone. Called all day each time on theirs automated services for 20 to 30 minutes each time. Had to drive up there for follow up and entered the intake area and there’s these giggling and stupid conversation while ignoring the calls coming in and I’m just over it. This needs to be addressed . Other than that Well pets a great place for animals care.

It has been 3 months, I am finally able to sit down and really process what happened around Christmas last year. My lovely Mastiff, Zippy, had swallowed something and needed emergency surgery. My sister recommended Wellpet to me. I CANNOT explain the love and compassion that this vet office had for my Zippy and me. She was dehydrated and was fading fast but they rushed her to the back and immediately got an IV into her. The next morning, after being on IV for 6.5 hours the day before, they performed surgery on her to remove the blockage in her intestines. Then the next 3 days happened. She needed more IV hydration so each day, I brought her back. Every single day that I walked her through their doors, someone came out of a room or behind a desk and LITERALLY cheered Zippy on as she walked down the hall to get her IV therapy. Zippy was a part of a family that I could never be more thankful for. They all opened their arms to me and my Puppy because we needed help. And I thank God everyday for them because I'm able to wake up with my girl next to me because of WellPet Humane. XOXO - Thank you WellPet. THANK YOU.

My 10 year old cat has bronchial disease and has flare-ups every few months that are very scary. I moved from Texas to Georgia two weeks ago and Pedro had another set of attacks that were worse than before, leaving him debilitated and almost completely unable to breathe. I was lucky to find this clinic that graciously discounted some services (as we're recovering financially from the move) and employs very kind, animal-loving doctors and technicians. I was expecting to wait for hours after reading some negative reviews, but showed up at 1 PM on a Saturday for first come, first serve urgent care and got into a room within ten minutes. The technician was super helpful as was the vet we saw. The staff took the time to explain the long-term pros and cons of different treatments and put my mind at ease. Even if I had had to wait longer I feel that I would still be quite pleased with the whole experience, and left paying about $300 less than I would have paid at any other vet.

The only feedback I would give is Well Pet should come up with some type of process which allows the fair line up of people when they are waiting for the clinic to open. I arrived at 12:30 pm. The clinic was opening at 1:00 pm. There were three people ahead of me. Then when the clinic opened several people arrived and insisted they were first. One women clearly had just arrived. This person took control of the sign-in sheet and put herself second in line. Clearly, she was about 6th in line. Just not fair that others had to wait when this individual pushed herself to the front of the line. Another women was waiting in the other waiting room and had been there since 11:30 am. and she had to wait until after this women had her pet seen first. Also, it was very busy and many people were waiting to be seen.

Took a 7 week old kitten for first checkup. Received quality veterinarian care. However was quoted 80 dollars over the phone and in person told the price would be 130 plus my already paid 25 dollar deposit. That's nearly double what I was quoted! Then, when I disputed the descrepency, I was given a mediocre discount and treated like a pariah for disputing the cost. If you decide to come, be sure to ask for a quote in writing. That way you know what you will be charged and what you will get. Not the first time this has happened to me at this facility.

I can't sing their praises enough. 1 vet was going to charge me $3,000. They did the surgery for under $600!!!!

This is my regular Vet. Overall great place. Had 1 bad experience: One of the doctors told me not to take my dog out, until his shots were complete. I took the advice. Unfortunately, like most puppies, my pup was 4 mos old before his shots were complete. Now, he is cautious around strangers... A few months back, I took him for his Lepto shot and a nail trim (which he has always hated). The tech who took him away into their "back room" came back in and told me that he was trying to bite during the nail trim, to get away from it. She told me my dog was not behaving normally and his temperament was bad for his age. She bluntly handed me a muzzle and asked me to put it on him. Told me they wouldn't be able to cut his nails, but would try to give him the shot. The shot went fine. They advised me to speak with one of the doctors, for a charge of 35 bucks. I accepted. The doctor came in, and told me that they were concerned that my dog could be labeled as "aggressive" if he didn't start to behave better, and told me to get a trainer. Then one of the vet techs came in after less than 3 minutes and said "sorry, but I need to steal the doctor". I paid 35 bucks for a 3 minute consultation, only to be advised that they think my dog needs training. I didn't like that too much. If a puppy is there for a shot and to have nails trimmed, knowing that many dogs hate having nails trimmed, WHY WOULDNT THEY GIVE THE SHOT FIRST, THEN ATTEMPT THE TRIMMING?! My dogs anxiety around others is also a result from the advice one of the doctors gave me, to "not take him out until his shots are finished". As a result, I have a dog who is scared of strangers. I DO WORK WITH A PERSONAL DOG TRAINER NOW, and my pup is getting much better. He doesn't gorowl at strangers nearly as much, and his more recent trips to Wellpet have been much better. He still gets scared, but doesn't really growl and hasn't never tried to bite since.... Most of the people who work here are very friendly, and professional. The cost is fantastic, an it is an overall great place. However, if you choose to take your pet here, free up some time. They are a popular place, and are usually very busy....

There are two sections - the procedure side that is by appointment and the shots/checkup side which is first come first serve. I took my two dogs for shots/checkup. CHECK IN: Excellent, fast, friendly, organized; computerized. WAIT: They work as fast as they can which is all you can ask for as opposed to other places that crawl along like Walmart employees who don;t care one bit about customer satisfaction. HINT: Go about an hour after they open so you avoid the opening rush ... unless you want to get there and BE part of the wait-outside-the-door opening rush. PREP: Didn't take too long but the one negative and it was a big one was the person doing the prep for the shots - I think his name was Kirk or Kurt (a large heavy set older gentleman) who was surly, indifferent to the animals, didn't even know the genders nor care about the names - it's a little thing, but it did remind me of the aforementioned Walmart type employees. You'd think anyone who works in a vet would like animals and probably own pets but I'd bet money this guy was just doing this for the pay and didn't own a pet nor care about animals in general; nothing mean towards them, just simple indifference. VET DOCTOR: As always (for the last 10 years) excellent. Very professional, courteous, helpful, caring, and overall friendly and pleasant. BILL PAYING/CHECKOUT: Seemed like a new person - slow, a little unsure, didn't seem familiar with the process but had a good attitude and effort. Overall experience as usual was good since the VET DOCTOR care is the main reason to go and the prices are the best in the area.

I take my dog here all the time... We been going for years. The facility is very clean and smells clean....Well we had a bad experience at BansField in lilburn, were we live... So we decided to take our 13 year old dog back to our normal vet. (we should have just went here in the beginning but our dog had us worried)... Cory the tech and Dr. Carsile were AWESOME!!!! the dr. explained everything to me very thoroughly and allowed me to ask questions and explained to me my dog's condition and what she suggest candy would need. The price i paid for candy's visit (including all her shots, medication, and senior exam was the price i paid for a 45 min. visit at Bansfield (without a diagnosis)...I cant praise this place enough...You truly have a customer with the Miller family...I love hearing we have taken great care of our old lady Candy, even though she is 13...May great things continue to happen for this place. I strongly want to recommend this place!!! all of the Dr and staffs are very very friendly!! all of them love my puppy Simba, so my puppy never afraid going animal hospital. -Dr. Amy- usually cared my dog, and she is so nice and friendly to us. I asked bunch of questions, but she always answered with smile, even though it was not question about my dog. And all staffs looks happy and enjoying their work, especially Jessica who works at front. she welcomed every single pets. Wellpet is a great - Low Cost option for your pet's vet care. We get all of our dog's checkups and regular meds there. They have a walk in clinic that gets busy sometimes so make sure to try and get there at the beginning of the walk in hours. I really like that part of my pet's care helps pay for veterinary costs for low income families who may not otherwise be able to afford all the care a pet needs.
