I really love Dearborn Animal Hospital. They’ve been a reliable place of treatment for our dog. Appointments are fairly easy to get. The check in staff and front desk are so lovey and informative. The facilities are always clean. The only challenge has been the pandemic churning of staff. I miss my original vet, but they are slowly training up their new vets. Once the team stabilize and gets seasoned I think this will be a 5 star place. Also I would love if they partnered with a pain management specialist to optimize long term treatment options.

Our experience at this vet office for the last 8 years has been outstanding.....but today pushed us to take a minute and say thank you to everyone there....as we had to put our precious dog child to rest....they were so graceful and compassionate amd gentle and kind....and we are so grateful for the ladies and gentleman. Always awesome. We are torn between Clairmont Animal Hospital and Dearborn.Both have Lovely staff & docs --. COVID protocols are needed to protect animals and workers! Dearborn has discounts for adoptees, and others. That's terrific for many disabled folks! Great highly recommend place. Zoey Dawg had both hospitals loving her until she died last year of old age 16+ Beagle mix. Newest dog at only Dearborn. It's good to have 2 great hospitals close by. Thank Yall

The ladies were very nice. Treated each and every animal with the same Chipper Excited Too See You Here At The VET type of attitude. 😆😂 Each dog that walked into the building was TREMBLING AND SHAKING!! 🤣🤣 Obviously the word on the street was someone came back without a pair!! 😆😂🤣 They ALL KNEW EXACTLY where they were! Best vet I’ve ever had! Very responsive, knowledgeable and nice doctors. Every time I’ve called them with a question for the doctor, they’ve gotten back to me the same day. They are patient and explain things thoroughly. I’m surprised by the bad reviews they have. People need to understand that this is a vet and they have emergencies that come up throughout the day. They’ve always treated me and my cat with the utmost care and sincerity. So glad I started taking my cat to them. I recommend them to everyone I can.

"Post" covid it's hard everywhere in service based businesses. But seems like Dearborn has found their stride. Had to make our appt earlier than previously but we were in and out in about 35 minutes. Probably one of the better visits we've had.

Great hospital and wonderful veterinary staff, customer service from front office is generally abyssal, might have to do with their phone system or lazy employees, hard to tell. Update: a few years later. Better systems but the staff still struggles sometimes. Overall an improvement though.

If I could give six stars, I would. Everyone from the intake staff, reception, vet techs, and doctors – each and every one has seen Charlie through wellness visits, emergencies, surgeries, the works. Dr. Cely is so caring, and Charlie loves when she sits down with him on the floor to check him out. He actually gets animated any time we get to Dearborn, not fearful. Amazing place full of exceptional people doing their best work every day for some of the most important individuals in our lives.

We were looking for a new clinic after moving and have found it! When I called to see about getting my dogs in for annuals and shots, Tori was so kind and thorough. We came for Saturday walk-ins and were impressed by the facilities, staff, ease of the process, and value. Dr. Holmes and her assistant were wonderful and caring with my two nervous dogs. I recently adopted my cat, so this was her first visit. I made an appointment for her because of a tapeworm concern and we got it all sorted out and treated at her exam. All of the staff members were so kind and absolutely loved her. They helped me sort out some discrepancies in her health records from the shelter and went above and beyond to make sure they don't miss anything, knowing that she came in as a stray.

I really liked their protocols and policies. The bill was actually cheaper than I was told on the phone and there were a couple of additional things that needed to be done. The people were kind, professional, and nice to my pup. This was my first time visiting this vet and, for now, I am very happy with them. I am taking my second dog next month. Hopefully, it will go just as well :)

I brought my very very scared dog in for his first yearly check up and they were super sweet, being sure to go slow and doing their best to make sure it wasn't a traumatic experience for him. They also went the extra mile to note his chart to ensure that if anyone sees him again they'll know that he's just gentle and afraid. While I was checking out, I mentioned him being scared of the fan and someone jumped up and unplugged it for him which I thought was really going the extra mile.

I absolutely love Dearborn - the staff, techs and all the vets. I run a small non-profit (Pet Buddies Food Pantry) we provide assistance to pet families facing financial challenges. Dearborn has gone above and beyond to help us with the most urgent and challenging of situations with animals in dire need - from animals found on the streets, pets of the homeless and pets needing end of life care and so on.. I have been taking my pets for a long long time now. I have referred them to all of my friends and family and they have been taking their keys for years now. I cant say enough good thing about this place. They truly care about your pet and your pets health is their first priority! Dr. Linda Ellington has been my primary vet but I have also gone to her daughter who is also really good and to other vets when she is not available but she is my favorite! She is honest with you and she is very caring. Their staff has been with them for a long time and that says a lot. Update: my pets have been under Dr. Ellington care since they were pups and it's been over 10 years of love and care. Some have already passed and some are still with me. They still deliver the same quality and attention until today's day. I have been loyal to them as they have been loyal to me and I will always recommend them as anyone's primary vet.

If you're looking for an excellent vet for your four-legged family member, you've found it. We have used them for years, only stopping for a time when we relocated for a few years. We had to make tough decisions recently and final arrangements for our sweet baby. Dr. Brittany Wynn (and everybody there, truly) was so kind, thoughtful, loving. We are heartbroken, but the process was somewhat eased by their care. We couldn't be more grateful.

My kitten needed immediate surgery and this place was the only affordable place that also provided a payment plan. They managed to get her in same day and operate. She's doing so much better! They're a great and friendly staff. Only issue I have is the phones. When we arrived at another animal hospital this morning, they wouldn't give us their wait time until we submitted the patient form online. We were put off by this so we called Dearborn. The staff at Dearborn got the form started for us as we were driving to them. They said there were five walk-ins ahead of us but when we arrived, we were third in line. The total wait time was around 40 minutes. Our dog started barking and growling at the assistant/tech when we tried to hand him over. We were afraid he'd bite her but then she growled back at him!! He shut up real quick and was totally calm once he was in her arms. It was hilarious. The vet was also great and explained in detail what happened and what we'll have to do moving forward. He looked and felt a lot better when we got him back. I'm very glad we went to Dearborn because they prioritized the care of our doggo over nickel and diming us, unlike a certain 24h animal hospital down the street that said it would cost 150$ just to look at him.

Even though Dearborn Animal Hospital is 20 minutes out of my way and there are numerous other vets nearby, I have stuck with them because the staff and service has been superb. Employees are friendly and truly adore animals/pets. My dog, as a rescue, is always nervous going in, but Dr. Ellington took 45 min of just giving him space and time to be more comfortable as she did his annual examine. They answered all my questions and really cared about my pup and his needs. I would highly recommend taking your pups here!

Love this place! Dr Ellington and Chris are amazing! You can tell that each and every single employee here loves animals!! Dr Ellington and the staff here go above and beyond to give amazing care; to make well and to save each of their patients' lives. They saved my 2 very sick (50% survival rate) pups. When we were on our way to pick up 1 of the pups, we had an accident and would have been too late to make it before closing. The police officer called and asked if they would give us a few minutes grace, they replied they could not allow us to come late but that they would comp the 1 day charge. My pups are both alive and very well, thanks to the care they received from Dearborn Animal Hospital. There is no place for our fur babies better! Thank you from the bottom of our 💕!

I have been really happy with the doctors and staff at Dearborn. They love their patients, give you options and don't pressure you. They clearly love what they are doing, and it shows. Several of the vets are quite good. I’ve been taking my dogs to Dearborn since 1992. Unfortunately, several of the staff at the desk are downright rude and inefficient. Plan to wait 20-25 minutes to pick up a prescription even if you are the only person waiting and the prescription was filled before you arrived and it is after the time appointments have ended.

I LOVE THEM!! since I call on the phone I felt their nice, positive vibe. Chris the Assistant came to our car and help us get our injured dog out the car after being ran over. He was amazing, loving and had a very positive attitude, he gave us hope the moment we walked in! And Dr. Perkins was the best! She was very professional and loving as well. When I moved to Brookhaven I needed to find a new vet for my dogs. My sister was already using Deaborn and gave them a sterling endorsement. Because of this, I decided to give them a shot even though there are several animal hospitals closer to my home. Two years later and Dearborn has become my new veterinarian. The staff is amazing and their pricing is incredibly fair (on average it's about 30% less expensive than my last vet). I'll continue to use Dearborn as long as I live in this part of town.

UPDATE: I wrote this two years ago and wanted to post an update because I wish I could give 10 stars. Just had another amazing appointment with Dr. Navarra and she has diagnosed something that could extend my pets healthy years. She called me with test results and talked through them for 20 minutes! And they remain affordable. I've been with Dearborn Animal Hospital for almost 8 years with my pets. They offer the type of caring customer service approach that is difficult to find in any industry. When you are worried about a sick pet, it's so comforting to have people actually care about your problems. They've also been very accommodating when I've needed walk-in appointments for more urgent matters. On top of that, their prices don't break the bank. If there was a ranking higher than 5 stars I would give them that.

Sadly, our first visit to Dearborn was my dog's first and last. He was undergoing emergency services at another vet and we transferred him to Dearborn for affordability. But ultimately, we had to make that hard decision to keep him from suffering. This was my first time ever going through this and Dearborn was amazing. The staff was so compassionate. We had two techs in and out. One was Brian and I cannot remember the name of the other. But both were so kind to us, so reassuring and so gentle with our dog. They did their best to make us feel human (I like felt like a monster). I have another dog and I will be switching her regular vet care to Dearborn.

I cannot say enough good things about this vet. They are wonderful with pets and have a loving bedside manner. When my cat had kidney failure, they did everything they could for him. When my mom's dog got dementia they were honest about having to say goodbye because he was in so much pain. My own dog who is 15 years old and full of life has received top notch care from them. They are excellent in dentistry as they really helped my baby's teeth remain healthy. Definitely bring your pets here. Reasonable prices and will do payment plans for large procedures.

Took my 12 week old pup there this morning and Dr. Perkins and her vet tech were wonderful! It wasn't overly expensive for a bunch of vaccines, stool sample testing and general check up. Because my dog is a rescue they waived her exam fee. They asked all the questions I'd expect a good vet to ask and they gave Bowie plenty of praise and treats during the more uncomfortable parts of her visit (checking her temperature, for example...). Dr. Perkins recommended some things to try and train out Bowie's object guarding, and we're all set to see her again in a few weeks to finish up my pup's vaccinations. We're really looking forward to it!.

Dearborn animal hospital is amazing! I went for their walk-in hours on Saturday with my two young cats. While we did have to wait for an hour this was extremely short given that the only do walk-ins on Saturday. The staff is extremely helpful and the vet techs and Dr. Ellington spent a lot of time explaining how to best care for my pets. The facility itself is extremely clean. I've taken my pets to Dearborn for many years, and have had good experiences with every vet we've seen. Dr. Ellington in particular is incredibly devoted to the well-being of her patients; she cared for my two dogs from their youth through their twilight years with skill and compassion. She and the other veterinarians communicate clearly and thoroughly about my pets' issues. As with any vet, this communication is enhanced when the pet owner provides clear and complete information, asks questions, and pays attention to what the vet says. Don't be afraid to ask questions -- the vets at Dearborn will take the time to understand your question and give you a thorough answer! Today my elderly, blind cat and I had our first experience with Dr. Duncan, who has a cheerful but authoritative bedside manner. She was quite gentle with the kitty, keeping her in her soft bed as she was removed from the crate so she wouldn't have to lie on the cold table. The cat seemed confident as long as she was in her familiar nest, so when Dr. Duncan took her back for blood work, she scooped the kitty up bed and all, and carried her like a baby in a blanket. My cat is easily frightened, and hides for days if we so much as bring a stranger in the house to fix a faucet. I'm happy to say that when she got home from her vet trip today, she fell right back into her normal routine as if she'd never been out of the house. Many thanks to Dr. Duncan for making the exam so easy on her.

Doctors and staff and extremely empathetic and truly care about their patients. Dr. Wynne and Dr. Eichenbaum in particular are very giving of their time to ensure that pet parents understand the details of their pet's treatments and options. They have behaved responsibly throughout the pandemic, though it is obviously a strain at times.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. If human doctors only cared about people as much as these people care about my animals... but for real, my dog loves these people. Took my cat for an ER walk in. The wait was a bit long ( but we were all social distancing due to covid) but my fur baby was seen and taken care off. My cat was returned to me at my car with all paperwork in hand and payment was touchless. The vet was understanding and listened to my concerns and patiently relayed my furbaby results, answering all my questions. Reasonable pricing as well.

I switched my pet care to this clinic a while back. Their prices are lower than my previous vet and they will work with you using a payment plan. I've had to spend a small fortune over the past few months but it was necessary and I don't feel like anything they did was unnecessary or that I was overcharged. My last vet had become all about the 💰 and seemed to have lost his humanity. I found humanity again at Dearborn. They love my little guy even though Gateau de Bebe can be a pill of a cat.

They have gotten crazy busy and sometimes that leads to long waits in person and on the phone, and so you can't really go to them for urgent or emergent things but I love them anyway and don't want to go anywhere else. Dr Ellington and the other doctors at Dearborn Animal Hospital have been super with our two dogs! They were so kind and gentle as one of our dogs reached the end of her life. The staff was extremely friendly and our pet was seen within a reasonable amount of time considering she didn't have an appointment. The veterinarian was pleasant and attentive. We had a very confusing situation with our pup (paperwork-wise) so there was a bit of a mix-up there, but I called and spoke to Savannah after our visit when I was really starting to get frustrated and she made all the problems go away. She explained everything to me very calmly (even though I was frustrated and probably a little defensive) and got me the answers I needed. When she didn't know the answer to something, she took the time to go find a doctor and ask, versus am "I don't know" or making something up (which I've received at other vets). Just really appreciated the extra time they took for us and our girl - especially Savannah. Thank you!! Our dog was also very nervous when we went in because we had just gotten her from the shelter and we didn't know her very well. The team was so patient with her and gave her time to warm up to them. The wait is a little long sometimes if you do a walk-in when they open, but it's very affordable and worth the wait.

I'm visiting from out of town and had an emergency with my Italian Greyhound (he's 10 years old, small, and delicate). They saw us 15 minutes before closing and were incredibly kind and helpful. They also were no where near as expensive as I felt the visit might be. The entire staff that helped us was wonderful! It was like taking him to my vet back home in Florida! I'm only giving my two visit experience four stars, because on both occasions I had to put a beloved old companion to sleep, and feel a little odd, saying I loved the experience. The staff were marvelous, very caring and sensitive. The doctors, took the time to post (snail mail) handwritten cards to commiserate our loss, which means more than I can say, being extremely Old School, I appreciated this greatly. (of course New Schooled would appreciate this too :) I have two 1 year old cats who have been seen by the Atlanta Humane Society, but now with the discovery of Dearborn Animal Hospital, so close to home, I hope they will have the opportunity of being seen at this hospital in future. Been going here for a few years. Staff good, Doctors are fantastic. Only drawback is if you make an appointment, you will rarely be seen on time. Last 4 times I came here, with an appointment, it's been at least 45 minutes to an hour past the appointment time until you are seen. It's not just a one off at this point. Soooo plan for it! EDIT AS OF 2019: things have improved vastly at Deerborn which I’m happy to say. The last few times I’ve come in not only have I been taken on time but even early. Obviously it’s always best to have an appointment but if you can’t I need to walk in they are very attentive. The staff is friendly even the lady that had some customer service issues seems to have chilled out. And of course the veterinarians are top notch very skilled and very personable. Changing to five stars thank you Dearborn.

I've been coming here for about 8 years now and haven't had any problems until recently. First, they ruined the fecal sample I gave them for my dog over the weekend and therefore he was sick for much longer than he should have been. They also did not call the number I left for them to let me know and instead used an old number. Now, a few weeks later, my dog is sick again. I was told the wait would not be that long, and somehow that turned into four hours. That's fine, but not allowing drop offs after a certain time is ridiculous, especially if I'm going around the corner to get something to eat (since I have been waiting for FOUR hours) and coming back. This won't stop me from coming back since pricing is pretty good, but I can't give them a five star rating for this.

My husband and I adopted a stray kitten who developed severe GI problems, and we brought her into Dearborn Animal Hospital for treatment. Dr. Cely was excellent with her, seeing her three times over two days, and prescribed some medications and a particular kind of food that was easy on her digestive system. Our kitten was back to normal within a few days and we have continued to follow Dr. Cely's recommendations. Dr. Cely was attentive, thorough, and clearly cares for the animals she treats. Additionally, I think Dearborn Animal Hospital waives the appointment fee for the first appointment of an adopted pet, and Dr. Cely provided us with samples to use and hardly charged us for anything for the first visit/follow-ups. I think this is a wonderful way to encourage people to adopt pets. We will definitely continue to take our kitten to Dearborn and Dr. Cely. In fact, we are returning very soon for follow-up immunizations.

Like a lot of people, my dog is my best friend and I want her to have the happiest and healthiest life possible. They recently boarded my (beloved) shih tzu, Judith, for a few days, and I knew I didn’t need to worry about her while I was out of town (or even when I had to pick her up late because my car broke down), because they were taking the best possible care of her. And I already knew to trust them with her care because they’ve been treating her for a scary, life-threatening illness for more than two years now—making sure she’s healthy and treated well (and comforting ME about her condition, which has been no small task). I have no doubt in my mind that they saved my dog’s life, and that they take the most gentle and loving care of her while she’s there. They’ve also been incredibly responsible about Covid precautions. I just love them!! **Edited to add: I’m not sure what other people’s experiences have been, but the reception team has been PARTICULARLY kind to me. Dearborn is one of the only vet services in town to offer affordable prices, and they’re dealing with a pandemic and anxious pet parents, so of course their reception team is busy and stressed. But in my experience, they’ve all been incredibly polite and warm and kind and gone out of their way to help me. I love every single person at Dearborn (and so does my dog).

The best I can give is 3 stars. For the surgery on my dogs leg. Everything else, I just can't believe they can run it this way even at half capacity. If y'all don't know how to do walk-ins and appointments simultaneously- allow me to make a suggestion: Have walk-in only days! Instead of making me wait almost 2 hrs for a heartworm test! I guess it never occurred to you that you could just grab my dog from the waiting room, perform the test (10 mins) and send me on my way without taking up a room, and wasting that much of my time.....yet I figured this out while waiting for y'all. Doesn't take a rocket scientist... I initially wanted to make an appointment, but the lady on the phone INSISTED I come on a walk in. Said it wouldn't take long at all. 2+ hrs waiting with a toddler...thanks you guys! Worst customer service. ALSO: I was sent home WITHOUT knowing the heartworm test results. Tech said she'd call....I tried to call at 1 but they're CLOSED! Thanks again! By the way yall....heartworm prevention is a SCAM! That fear bottle of heartworms is a gimmick. Can't contract heartworm under 57 degrees...fyi. The techs/Vets are selling you de-wormer every month. There is no such thing as "heartworm prevention" only treatment. Research yourself if you don't believe me.
