Been going here for at least 10 years. Dr. Ramos is truly amazing. The time she take with all of our dogs is awesome. You can tell she cares. Prices are quite expensive for the services received but worth it in my opinion. Our pups are our family so we want to get them the best help we can and Dr. Ramos does that.

We have been taking our family's pets (2 dogs and a cat) to Cumberland Animal Clinic for almost ten years now. The doctors are kind, attentive, and really take their time with us every time we go in. They are very thorough in their annual checkups, and concerned and caring when one of our fur babies is not well. The staff is extremely courteous, kind, and prompt. We never wait more than a few minutes to be seen when we arrive to the office - even when we've been worked in for a same-day appointment, and they are really great at accommodating our scheduling needs - they're always able to see our pets at a time that works best for us. The good folks at Cumberland are also very gracious in helping out with things like vaccination records (which they have emailed to us *instantly* on numerous occasions) and with prescription refills - of which we have regular need. Really can't say enough about this practice - everyone there is wonderful and it's truly a pleasure any time we need to call or be seen. We changed to Cumberland from another practice when we moved to the Smyrna area, and have since moved over to East Cobb, but we still make the drive to see the wonderful people at Cumberland - they are absolutely worth it!

Greetings Fellow Pet Owners, If you are looking for high quality, passionate, capable pet care, Cumberland Animal Clinic is it. I've been a happy customer for 7+ years. I've had every level of pet care for our little Silky Terrier. This includes routine immunizations, annual wellness checks, sick call and Gastro-intestinal and kidney care. Our 7 pound Silky is 15+ years old. She is in good health and is well beyond normal life expectancy. I largely credit the Cumberland Animal Clinic Team. Dr. Ramos was great! I visited Cumberland Animal Clinic for the first time when my 13-year old dog, JD, was terminally ill. I had become displeased with my dog's previous vet and chose Cumberland based on the great reviews. Dr. Ramos and staff ran a lot of tests and determined that JD was too sick to be helped. She gave me numerous options, but I decided to have him euthanized. She assured me that I made the right decision, which was helpful. Before they sedated him, they made him a plate full of chocolate cake, cat food, dog treats, and cheese. He loved it and left this world very happy! They even gave me a clay mold of his paw print. I was there a total of 3 hours and didn't feel rushed at any time. Thank you, Dr. Ramos and staff 🥲

I saw them only once over Covid because it was hard to find appointments anywhere else for my cats. I didn’t get to go in so I’m not sure how well everything went inside, but the vet sent me a thorough email follow up and I was charged a reasonable rate. The vet also allowed me to send pictures of my cat’s paw when it looked weird, and he was able to assure me (at no cost) that it looked like a normal skin tag and that I didn’t need to bring him in unless I felt worried (which I appreciated a ton).

Yeah they are nice and the place seems clean. Not sure why they examine the dogs in the “back” and away from owner. I mainly saw the vet techs until the very end when the vet appeared. I almost thought I’d never see the vet. Her presence wasn’t the most pleasant. Maybe she just woke up from a nap or I just got her on a wrong day. I didn’t catch her name but the energy I got was bothersome. I wasn’t impressed unfortunately.

Cumberland animal clinic has taken care of our fur babies like their own from day 1! We moved from powder springs to Smyrna area and saw the reviews and had to try. Haven’t regretted making Cumberland our home for animal needs! They love Dr. Bailey and Dr. Ramos :)

My pups have grown and with each passing year the care and wellness given by the vets, techs and receptionists is still the same quality and care. I am always well informed of my dogs needs and kept on track for their wellbeing and continued wellness. From dental with Dr. Baily to check ups and shots with Dr. Ramos it is always a pleasure working with this veterinary group. Good care, good food makes for life long healthy fur friends. Thank you. Updated 9/4/22 I was first a client in the early 90's. I moved away from the Smyrna area and moved back recently. It wasn't a debate where to take my dog. I walked in and even after 20 years they still had my records. The doctors have changed since they opened, but the care and attention remains the same from the doctors to the vet techs and receptionists everyone is extremely personable and want the best care for your pet. My pack has started over and Dr. Ramos took the time to talk and play with my puppies as well as listen to concerns. Having an awesome vet makes pet ownership that much better. My pups give them 5 barks and endless tail wags.

Cumberland Animal Clinic arguably has some of the lowest prices around for vet visits. The staff is always friendly and tentative. Whenever I need to make an appointment, I don't have to wait on hold and also get an appointment within the next few days at most. The staff seems to really enjoy what they do and they are always patient with my dog. I had to put my cat down and chose to come here since this is where I take my dog, and it was as best of an experience I could ask for, given the circumstances... They covered the windows on the door to make sure no one would bother us, they had warm blankets for my pet, and the vet was very kind. She walked us through our different aftercare options and gave us plenty of time to say goodbye. It didn't cost an arm and a leg either. Overall, very nice staff.

I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for 3 years now. I live near by so I figured I would give them a shot, my review is for the front staff and Dr. Ramos as they are the ones I can attest to. It is always easy to get an appointment, on a few occasions I had to rush my dog in for a same day consult and Dr. Ramos was very kind to squeeze them in between appointments. One of my dogs was diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer and she was very honest, listened to my concerns, had great bedside manners, and she was very supportive all the way to the moment we had to say goodbye to my sweet girl; I never felt pressured to run any test or give a specific treatment. Everyone was very respectful and empathetic during such a time. I am a very involved pet parent, I like to ask lots of questions and give feedback back to Dr. Ramos as to how my dog responds to treatment for his seizures. Dr Ramos is always kind to respond to any questions in a timely manner even when she is very busy. As for pricing, I think they are fair. You can always ask how much things will cost before you agree to it, they will tell you which ones are truly necessary and which ones can wait. They accept CareCredit a healthcare specific credit card which you can apply for while you wait for you pet to be seen, just ask any of the front desk staff. Definitely recommend, I trust my boy’s (dog) health is in good hands.

The vets at Cumberland Animal clinic have been amazing with my two dogs! They have been the sole reason why we caught kidney disease very early and got it under control with treatment, and then they helped me catch the early stages of pancreatitis and they treated that as well. They literally have given me more years with my “pawrtner” in crime and I can not be more grateful. If you have pets, take them here for both regular check ups and for any health concerns, they are awesome! ❤️🐾

We've been taking our dog Darwin to Cumberland Animal Clinic for 4 years (since we moved here). He's seen several vets, nurses, technicians, and staff at Cumberland and everyone has been informative, patient, honest, kind, and accessible. Darwin is geriatric with chronic illness issues. Working with the vets & staff to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan that we all agree upon has truly been a blessing. Their location and office hours are also very convenient.

12/19 EDIT My dog was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and the office has been wonderful with getting me scheduled, answering my questions, and reviewing test results. Dr. Griff and staff helped me urgently get my dog the care he needed. I also received a call a day following my visit to check in on my dog's state. These sweet and warm touches have made me bump this review up to a 4. They do have good customer service and are thoughtful and it's those little touches that make the difference when you are dealing with a pet health crisis. I'm also happy to report that male vet I had issues with no longer works there so that is a relief. They're still too pricey IMO ...But I trust them with my fur babies' lives. Friendly front office staff. Very accommodating for any special needs your pet has. Curbside service, etc. Web site and scheduling is a plus. Prices are high and continue to increase. An office visit now costs 69. The vets seem to push unnecessary tests so it all adds up. I don't even bother buying meds from them because you can find stuff for half the price on chewy. I've experienced the mismatch in price that other reviewers have. They tell you one quote and then you go to checkout and somehow it's am additional 100 bucks. Definitely get an itemized list with prices printed beforehand! As far as vets go, Dr. Reimer is my favorite. She genuinely cares about your pet and takes time to explain things properly. She can handle my anxious dog with ease and he doesn't freak out around her. There is a male doctor that I don't really care for. He has shouted at my dog and has been mean to him. My dog can read energy so if you're not nice he will be wary and stressed. I don't think that gentleman should be dealing with any fur babies that have anxiety. They take the dogs to the back now so you don't always see what was done. I don't like that. For all I know they're back there playing fetch and coming back and charging me the world for tests they didn't run. I love Dr. Reimer but the high prices have made me start to look elsewhere.

The staff at CAC are very friendly and always strive to help me and my dog feel comfortable. Just as important, every time I make an appointment, we are in seeing the doctor pretty much on time. I don’t have to wait around for too long. I mean who wants to be waiting for a long time in a vet. Thank you CAC staff for being great at what you do!!!

Generally speaking this is a good veterinarian office. I’ve come here for my pet for the last 10 years. They’ve always been able to get me in at times that are convenient. I’d like to suggest as patrons you ask for itemized lists before they begin examining your animal. They like to talk quickly and hypothetically about what your animal may need without the same level of transparency about how much it will cost or when you’ll get your results. I’ve had to call them for results before. They say, “we’ll call you if there are any issues.” I think I should be provided with documentation one way or another rather than being left to wonder if the service I paid for actually got sent off or if they are in a pile in the back of the lab. Today I had to ask the tech, after we “agreed” to a treatment, that still needed to be approved by the vet, how much it would cost. Cost should have been just as much of a conversation as the labs they were going to do. She says $297. I authorize her to move forward. They perform the services. When I got ready to check out the bill was over $410. At this moment it became a her word versus mine, unwinable situation. I know what I was told but I didn’t have a list of services to refer back to. We ultimately discovered that she had combined a service that resulted in the increase and did not mention the price difference. The doctor told me that the services were included in the quote, but she was not present when I was told $297. Given pet expenses are often unplanned, I think it’s important for me to know the cost of the services, in the event that it impacts how and what I choose to prioritize in terms of my pets care. This was not a small difference in total. I wish I could say this was the first time that I felt like I’d been swindled at this clinic. But I just encourage all who go there to ask for itemized lists or quotes that are on the high end to avoid surprises. This may be the last time I take my pet to this establishment. Not only for this reason but also because we’ve moved further north. And this experience did not help.

The entire team here are professional, friendly, and compassionate. You can tell everyone here cares and enjoys what they do. I take all three of my dogs here and they always do a great job of handling them and making them feel comfortable.

We were referred to Cumberland Animal Clinic. Dr. Ramos was very knowledgeable and immediately set us up to come in the next day, Saturday. She made sure Dr. Griff knew what was going on with our baby. We were very nervous for our pet, Tetsuo. Dr. Griff called me after we dropped him off to let us know what was going on with him. Also, the young lady (I think Roxy) at the front desk and the young man who was the tech there (Jonathan?) were both amazing, kind and sympathetic. All around top notch service that made us feel calm and comfortable with leaving our baby in their care. It was our first time there and I highly recommend them. Just a really great team that seemed to work really well together.

This is a friendly and well managed clinic. I've been taking my hound dog here for years. What I like is how the Vets don't try to sell you a whole grocery list of unnecessary things and treatments just to make an extra buck. If they can tell you where to get something cheaper, they will. Every ailment my dog has had they've been able to cure. They care a lot about your pet and you as the customer. Don't depend on walk-in's in my experience, they are very busy but can usually see you within a week. It's not a drawback, just a testament to the job they do so well because so many people trust them with their pets lives and well-being.

I was a first time client here last week. I brought my pup in because he was having some pretty extreme issues. Not only was the facility very nice and clean but the staff was amazing. My dog and I saw Dr. Bernadette and I couldn't have asked for him to be taken care of any better. She was thorough, kind, caring, patient, and informative. Not to mention how willing they were to work with me on funds since I wasn't in the best financial place for all of this to be happening. I was given recommendations for future health concerns and given the medicines and fluids he needed. They really went the extra mile for my dogs health when they could've handed me a list of hundred things to pay for without me understanding any of it. It is very hard to find people that are transparent and trustworthy, and I'm so grateful to have wound up there. My pup is back to his happy and healthy self! I will definitely continue to bring him back to Cumberland Animal Clinic to see Dr. Bernadette. Thank you all so much!

As a returned dog owner my puppy was welcomed by all the friendly staff. Not only did they give me my requested vaccines but they made sure my dog was at optimal health with recommendations on food and training. They thoroughly educated me on things about my puppy I did not know. I enjoyed my visit as my new puppy hasn’t acquired great social skills and was barking, the staff was understandable and did not make me feel embarrassed. I highly recommend Cumberland Animal Clinic if you want superb customer service and an amazing staff. Pricing was affordable and reasonable, they asked me for consent before administering any shots. My 1 year old boxer mix got bit in the face while at the dog park yesterday. I was so stressed out because I didn’t know what to do to help him and was without a car. I called multiple places and they either didn’t have a doctor on staff or the mobile vets had no availability. Although this clinic was booked they allowed me to come down and they took such great care of him. From the receptionist, nurse, and doctor- everyone was so sweet and accommodating. I’m not happy he got bit but very happy that we now know what clinic we will be taking him too for now on. Thank you all so much for taking care of my baby. Gunner says thank you too!!

Our cat decided it was a good idea to scratch our dog's eye when playing. Our vet said he should be seen but they couldn't see us and suggested the emergency clinic. We didn't feel that was a good option. We called Cumberland and were seen 2 hours later. Kind, caring and professional! He has an antibiotic, a follow up appointment next week. We thought the prices for an office visit, eye stain test and meds was very reasonable. We liked our other vet, but not that they couldn't see him when he needed it. With an older dog, and cat, who sometimes may need to be seen quickly we want a practice with better hours. We found it!

First time patient and LOVE this place. It was easy to get an appt and when I arrived, I like the clean, bright and professional appearance of the clinic. It was easy to get checked in and my pup was seen almost immediately. I've had many experiences with vets where even when you arrive, you wait forever for someone to tend to your pet. The vet tech was great and I liked being able to go into the exam room with my pup. The vet was super pleasant and explained what she was doing. This vet is about 10 minutes away from my house and it only took an hour, roundtrip, for me to arrive, fill out new patient paperwork, have my pup examined and drive home. At my old vet, this would've been a 2+ hour visit. Cumberland Animal Clinic has earned a new patient!

Took my oldest baby girl to CAC on 10/8/21 as this was her first visit. She was diagnosed with diabetes. Naturally, I was very distraught by hearing such news but Dr. Ramos and all the staff at CAC was very attentive to what I was going through. They were extremely busy that Friday but the service did not lack in any way what so ever. I felt secured and confident my baby girl and myself were in good hands. Cumberland Animal Clinic is an amazing vet! They were my family's main vet until we moved out of the area a few years ago. But I've still had to travel out to them a few times since for second opinions, and they've always been excellent, providing insights and noticing things that my usual vet didn't notice. Cumberland Animal Clinic is the first vet I tried when I moved to Atlanta. At the time I lived about 10 minutes away, now I live 30-45 minutes away depending on traffic, and I still go here! The vets are all very nice and friendly. They don't try to push unnecessary medication on pets. I like to take my dog and cats to Dr. Reimer, she is especially kind and gentle, but honestly all of them are great. The techs are super nice, and I've never had a problem getting in for an appointment with the front desk.

When we first got pets, I called several vets in the area. I decided to try Cumberland because they were close and the prices were reasonable. They have always taken good care of our dogs and cats. Their hours are convenient. The vets and techs are nice people. They were a good choice. Lately they have lost some of their shine. The veterinarian staff has completely turned over and CAC seems to be losing some of their convenience in subtle ways. Hopefully it is not a trend since I have liked the office for many years.

What an amazing veterinary office. I took my beloved Johnny Cash to their office due to illness. Unfortunately the news was devastating but the Dr. and staff were gentle with him and compassionate with me. Even though it's heartbreaking that he is no longer with us, I take comfort in knowing he received such amazing care at the end.

My husband and I recently moved from Baton Rouge to Atlanta. Shortly after the move we noticed the health of one of our cars began to deteriorate. Not being familiar with the area or veterinarians in general, it was difficult for us to find a place to take the cat for an exam on such short notice. Luckily, another veterinarian near idea us recommended Cumberland Animal Clinic. They were able to schedule me an appointment almost immediately. The office was very organized and sanitary. The waiting room was quiet, and my very shy cat actually stayed relaxed. The receptionist was very pleasant, and I was on my way to the exam room within moments of walking in the door. Both the tech and doctor were kind and gentle with my car. They were attentive to every detail regarding my cat's health, ave explained everything they were doing and why they were doing it. I am a student and live on a very limited budget. Any type of veterinary bills are burden in my finances. I was appreciative of the careful explanation of each item on my bill and why they were necessary before the procedure was done. I am very sad to say that my cat's story did not end happily. He was diagnosed with FIP and euthanasia was necessary. However, the compassion shown by the staff at Cumberland Animal Clinic made a very difficult time as easy as possible. I was able to take the cat home to wait for my husband to get off work. He had a couple of hours to say goodbye to his first pet before bringing him back. The doctor scheduled us the very last appointment of the day and gave us as much time as we wanted to complete the procedure. She and the tech explained each step in detail and never once made us feel rushed. My husband is not the sensitive type, but losing this cat was very hard on him. I will always be thankful to the Cumberland Animal Clinic for helping us through this time.

Best vet clinic in the area! Everyone is so polite, responsive, and kind. They have alway treated my Teddy (dog) warmly and gently. They truly care about the wellbeing of the pets they care for. On a side note, when my precious cat fell terminally ill years ago their compassion and understanding while also being honest about what was happening was comforting and helped me make an informed decision about how to proceed. I took my two cats in for wellness exams, vaccinations and senior bloodwork. Dr. Bailey is great. She took care of my cats when they were kittens at a different practice. They were friendly and answered all of my questions. The vet tech who took care of us wasn’t quite as friendly as I would have liked, but the staff overall were friendly and attentive. A little bit pricey, but not more expensive than any other [highly rated] clinic in the area. They are great! I will be bringing my kitties back here.

Dr. Fisher and the entire team at this clinic are wonderful! I brought my dog in for an emergency and thanks to their quick responsiveness, care, and expertise my dog is on a path to recovery. When I arrived and ran in panicked, everyone at the clinic ran to help me. They brought out a stretcher and got my doggie stable very quickly. They made the best recommendation for him and thank God they did because if we didn't take him to a 24 hour facility, only God knows what could have happened. I cannot sing Cumberland's praises enough. We were clients of another local vet, but when that vet didn't seem to be interested in helping with my dog's anxiety issues, we started looking around. While we were hunting, one of our cats got sick. Since Cumberland is .5 miles away from our house, we made an appointment there. From the first moment, we've been blown away by how wonderful the entire staff is. We have an 8 year old dog, a 3 year old cat, and 2 kittens under 6 months. All of them have had their own things going on, but Cumberland has been amazing with all of them. And, of course, with 4 furmonsters all needing some level of care, price is a factor. I'm not from the Smyrna area and during a visit to a family member, my English bulldog had a severe allergic reaction. I called every vet in their area and was told a ton of excuses about not being able to see my dog for a few days or inability to accept new patients. I called this office and to my surprise they saw me that day, as soon as I could get my dog there. The veterinarian's assistant was so sweet to my nervous dog and took his time to examine her. The veterinarian, Dr. Tison, was the nicest and most informative vet I've ever visited. He addressed all my concerns and made very detailed instructions on how to care for my pup. We had to do curbside check in which is always tough but most places are doing this. Dr. Bessman quickly examined our corgi and gave us a referral to a neurologist for her. He did not do anything unnecessary or upcharge us, in fact he specifically said that he didn’t want to make us pay for something that would likely have to be repeated and paid for again at the specialist. We really appreciated that. He was kind To our corgi and to us, and we were treated also very kindly by the veterinary technicians. Would recommend to any friends with furbabies.

Dr. Tyson is wonderful! I went to him on the recommendation of a friend who's family has been going to him since before he was with this group. When my previous dog started having unknown health issues as she got older, he took the time to have an honest conversation about testing/procedures/treatments, the cost of them and the pros and cons of them. When she needed antibiotics, he gave me the prescription and told me to take it to Publix where I could get it filled for free. When it came time to let Josie go, he was there every step of the way, and you could tell he was affected by the loss (he even teared up). When he comes in to see a dog, he will actually get down on the ground to talk to them. I have another dog now and I continue to make the 45 minute drive to see him. He is one of a kind and has such a wonderful way of connecting with dogs.

I am new to Atlanta and didn't have a vet for my dog yet. After an incident with my dog, I took my 15 year old chihuahua to cumberland animal clinic as an emergency visit, after he fell to the ground all of a sudden during a walk and started crying loudly in pain! Thinking the worse, maybe a broken leg or hip injury because he wouldn't walk, I rushed him to this clinic and they got me in right away and were very caring, nurturing and professional to us both! Dr fisher and her tech assistant were very thourough and took their time to exam my dog and explain possible things that could be going on. After hearing the good news of not having a broken bone or hip injury (no X-rays needed by the way) Dr fisher was confident this was a possible neurological issue, degenerative disc disease, chronic arthritis joint pain etc. Dr fisher didn't push a bunch of unecessary testing on me but did give me the option of doing blood work since my dog hasn't had blood work in last 6 months just to make sure nothing is causing this issue. Meanwhile while waiting for the blood results, she put my dog on an anti-inflammatory and gabapentin and he is already feeling a little better and now walking again! Thanks you guys for your expedited service and taking good care of my baby at the last minute!

Today was my first time at the clinic in a couple of years. I brought my kitten and dog in for their wellness check etc...I had Dr Ramos as my vet for the first time, she was awesome!!! My dog Ralphey did really well with her, unfortunately my kitten being his first time there wasn't having it...lol Dr Ramos was really helpful, and explained a lot of things to me, I'm nina cat person...but someone so lovingly left a week or two year old kitten on my porch back in September, n me being the animal lover I am, took him in n bottle feed, until he was weined after that i couldn't give him up. His name is Roco, and today he was a lil terrorist, scratching n biting the techs, to the point they had to give up. Even after putting him in a cat bag to calm him down. Roco wasn't having any of it. Well, Dr Ramos, said they'd have to sedate him in order to get tests done, I was concerned about the price of everything, and asked if I could do everything, neuter, blood tests, etc...all at once, she was great and said that that'd be no problem. That way I could save money in the long run. I reviewed this clinic a cpl of years ago, and gave them a 5* rating as then and now the staff never tries to upsell things your pets don't need...don do get me wrong, they recommend what your pets need, but just that, to me not like other vet clinics I've been to where they are trying to sell this that or the other. If I could give 10* I would now, as Dr Ramos was the very best at explaining, and understanding my pets needs, as well as understanding my situation. I'd also like to recognize the poor tech who got the crappoly scratched out of her by my lil (not so sweet) kitty. I'm so sorry!!!! She was a true trooper!!! I wish I knew her name...but alas....if you have pets, I definitely recommend these guys, they will take care of you and your pets with 10* treatment!!!!
