I had an awesome visit to Clairmont Animal Hospital! I just adopted a new cat and wanted to get her checked out and make sure she was good to go. The whole team was very nice and so helpful! Dr. Adams was very knowledgeable and made sure to make my cat as comfortable as possible! After leaving my cat seemed to be in great spirits and not anxious or stressed! If you’re looking for some where to take your pets I would definitely recommend Clairmont Animal Hospital! Also the lobby and spaces were very clean and they just got done with renovations so it is very nice!

This is an excellent vet practice! They are responsive to telephone calls and provide estimates of costs when requested. Highly recommend Dr Adams. She explains her recommendations and she offers reasonable and cost sensitive recommendations. She has taken care of our previous animals and we knew with our new pup we were coming back Clairmont. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who treasures their furry friends.

I have been coming to Clairmont Animal Hospital since we got our first puppy in 2008. I have been pleased with every vet we've seen there, but my dogs' favorite has always been Dr. Kelly Bradley. As my two girl dogs became seniors and their health began to decline, I felt like Dr. Bradley and the team talked us through each step of the process and really cared. The front desk team was always friendly, and I can always get a call back promptly when I have question or request. They're so good with customer service. When we discovered my sweet dog QT had a fast-moving cancer, Dr. George broke the news so tenderly and talked me through my options. In the end, Dr. Bradley helped us understand when it was time to let QT go and just gave us a lot of support. She stayed late because QT had been her longtime patient and friend. QT's passing was so tender and heartbreaking and beautiful. I could really feel how much love Dr. Bradley felt for QT in that moment. I really cannot say enough good things about how caring and professional this practice is. I also like that they have Sunday afternoon hours, which is hugely helpful for those of us who work during the week.

I am very, very protective of my pets and Clairmont has always been great with them. Dr George it's who I normally see and he's been over of the most incredible vets ever. Even if they were twice as far away I'd still go there.

It took me a while to find a trusted vet in the Atlanta area when I moved, and once I found Dr. Matt based on a friend recommendation, I knew we were set! Since then, my partner and I both send our dogs to Clairmont and always feel like they have our pets’ best interest in mind. We trust them to treat us and our pups right. Everyone at Clairmont Animal Hospital, from the front desk staff who help to book appointments and check patients in, to the techs and vets who provide services to my cats, has been just wonderful. We have been seeing Dr. Adams for about four years now, and I couldn’t ask for better care for my cats. Dr. Adams has gone above and beyond the call of duty with each of my babies, who have had different special needs. I appreciate so much having a vet who will work with me as a partner to keep my cats healthy and enjoying a high quality of life. Dr. Adams is so calm and thorough—my cats and I love her! We also had a recent emergency with one cat due to a previously unknown congenital issue. The staff and vet tech immediately recognized how serious the problem was and promptly directed us so we could get the help she needed. I’ll always be so grateful!

We cannot recommend Dr. George and his staff highly enough. He is a kind, compassionate doctor and a credit to his profession. He patiently and kindly guided us through our sweet Paisley's cancer diagnosis and provided us with clear, candid, and grounded advice. Although we did have to say goodbye to our girl in the end, the experience was made easier knowing we received the best care and expert advice available.

The staff is friendly and understanding. My cat is not keen about going to the vet. Dr. Bradley called in reinforcements and they were able to calm her down. She worked quickly to reduce my cats stress..The compassion and patience they provided was outstanding. The meds they prescribed had my cat feeling better the next day. I’m long overdue writing about Clairmont Animal Hospital. The staff are always welcoming, all the doctors friendly and knowledgeable, and their newly remodeled building roomy. But especially I want to say what a treasure they have in Dr. Adams, a true cat whisperer. I have a 21 year old cat named Jake with health issues (IBD) and because of Dr. Adams I feel he’s not only still around, but living a good life thanks to her. Dr. Adams goes out of her way to care for our cats, especially our elderly cat Jake. She constantly surprises us after every visit. For example, Jake had a large skin tumor, but I was afraid to put him under general anesthesia because he was in poor health and very old. However, when the tumor got worse and I took him in, Dr Adams was able to miraculously remove it during a regular visit without stress to Jake. It was totally unexpected and every day I marvel at her work—you can’t even tell there was ever a tumor. Her advice for our cats has always been perceptive, elegant, and spot on. Not only that, but she always takes time to shave off any hard to get to mats that I haven’t been able to reach at home, without me ever asking. Clairmont is a great veterinarian’s office, and Dr Adams truly makes Clairmont shine. We feel lucky to have her as our vet, and Jake’s life is much richer and happier thanks to her. (I wanted to put before and after tumor pictures of Jake, but the tumor was pretty gruesome, so instead I'm showing both his sides, and I can't even tell which side it was that had the tumor now, thanks to Dr. Adams). ****UPDADTE**** ***Short Version: Whenever the time comes to say goodbye to your kitty, I can’t recommend Clairmont highly enough. They went above and beyond any expectations as a thoughtful, considerate, caring, gentle place during a very sad time.***** ****WARNING: This gently describes a bit of the process so you know what to expect when you say goodbye. Maybe don’t read unless it’s time.****** 21 year old Jake got weaker and weaker, and his quality of life narrowed until one morning his health took a dramatic turn for the worse and I knew it was time. Clairmont was so understanding and said I could bring him in immediately if needed. Oh my goodness everyone treated us so gently. They brought us into the kitty room, which has a heated scoop in the counter so he could be warm. Jessica A. checked us in with so much sweetness, and Julie was our considerate tech. Dr Smith, the practice owner, was wonderful. He let me know Dr Adams was with another patient, but she knew we were there, and I found that really comforting. Dr Smith told me the process, and he didn’t do anything without my okay first. I held Jake’s paw when it was time. He reassured me that I had done the right thing for Jake, which made me feel much better because I'd really been agonizing over it. Afterwards. Julie made a keepsake paw print for me (she had given me the choice earlier). Then they let me stay with him as long as I wanted afterwards to say goodbye, and showed me where the side door was so that I could leave privately, which was especially kind. Soon after I received a lovely card in the mail from Dr Adams expressing her sympathy at the loss of our buddy Jake. It really meant so very much to me. This is never a visit you ever want to have to make, but if the time comes, I cannot recommend Clairmont highly enough. They made us feel special and cared for. They turned a hard time to one balanced with memories of their gentleness, concern, and thoughtfulness. They made a sad time easier because of it.

I can not say enough about this place! We had gone to another vet who we liked very much but after finding our dogs were heartworm positive & getting the pricing for treatment, we discovered that their pricing was way above the norm. Then a friend (who's a vet) recommended Dr George. He could not have been more patient & explanatory! This was soooo appreciated since heartworms & the treatment are rather scary. He really took as much as the scary out of it as he could while also being very informative. On top of that, their pricing was on par with what is customary, they are open 7 days a week & every time I've called with a question, the staff is super friendly & helpful. Clairmont Animal Hospital & Dr George are beyond wonderful (as I'm sure the other vets there are too!) and I cannot recommend them enough. Take your fur babies to them now!

I've had very good experiences here. All of the vets are caring, knowledgeable and professional. The staff as well, truly care about you and your pet. When it came time to put my dog down, they couldn't have been better. There was a side door for us to go into so I could be with her, despite pandemic protocols being that everything else is curb-side. They were understanding and caring, handled the whole thing very well. They let me stay with her for as long as I wanted until I was ready to leave. Above and beyond: they offer a clay pawprint of your pup, which I appreciate more than I realized I would. A week later I received a very sweet card signed by all of the vets.

We got our dog, Milo, in May of 2020 and have been taking him to Clairmont Animal Hospital since we brought him home. I have never had a dog wag his tail every time he goes into the vet. Dr. Matt, Dr. George, & all of the nurses and techs that we've worked with have been fantastic. Thank you for taking such great care of our pup!

We have been taking our doggy to Clairmont Animal Hospital for a good while during Covid and recently he was very ill and we had to put him down. Dr. George is an amazing gracious man and had done everything prior to help our doggy (Henry) As he had a good bit of problems since we got him 3.5 years ago as a rescue. Dr. George was never too busy to call us back or explain things to us. The people working there are also terrific. Couldn’t have a better Vet or staff.

Clairmont is a fantastic vet. Dr. Matt is such a great doctor. He always takes the time to come out (since, due to COVID, owners aren't allowed in) and talk to me about my pets and clearly explains everything. Compassionate care all around from the staff. I have a Dachshund that can be a cranky old man and the staff is so patient and kind with him. Cannot recommend Dr. Matt and his staff enough.

We took our 13 week old puppy to see Dr. George based in a recommendation. The staff were lovely, thorough with follow up, and super sweet with our dog. Dr. George clearly loves what he does. We have a breed prone to health problems and he was great about prepping us for the future. We've gone back again and love this vet office. We will use the boarding service too because we trust them. They even sent us a thank you note. How sweet is that!?!?

Dr. George and the staff at Clairmont Animal Hospital are amazing. Highly recommend this place. Started going here 2 yrs ago for my dog at the recommendation of a friend. Other vets might be a bit cheaper, but it's honestly worth the cost. The front desk staff have always been nice and very accommodating with scheduling and prescription requests - they will bend over backwards for their customers. I always have a great experience going here and the staff and doctors seem to genuinely care about the pets they take care of. My dog had major anxiety during our last visit - she was scared & shy of Dr. George and the vet techs, and they did everything they could to make it a pleasant experience and did not force my dog into anything she did not want to do. Sent us home with anti-anxiety meds and I'm sure the next visit will be much better for my dog. I'm looking forward to my dog's next checkup appointment!

I just moved down to Georgia from up north and needed to find a new vet for my German shepherd who has been pretty sick. They worked with me and her to make us feel both comfortable. Not only that when I very hesitantly told them I had a budget, they worked with me to ensure that my dog was taken care of but that we didn’t go over my financial threshold for this first visit. I was so pleased, I’ve switched my other dog to them as I can tell that both of them will receive the best care.

Our enthusiastic pit bull has a will bigger than his joints can handle, which led to the need for a CCL surgery. Clairmont Animal Hospital was recommended to us by our usual vet (we're across town) for the procedure. It was well worth the drive! This is my 3rd orthopedic surgery with a pup and by far, the best experience (even with the chaos of Covid thrown into the mix). First of all, and perhaps most importantly, we could always tell that everyone there truly cares about the animals (as opposed to some practices that feel like they're filled with salespeople instead of animal people). Communication was excellent the entire time and the quality of the repair was evident in the x-rays and the incision. Kazh has gone from limping in pain to being able to chase down any tennis balls that come across his path:)

I would like to give a shout out to Estelle and Joyce. They both went above and beyond to help me navigate a very frustrating and upsetting situation when my dog was in the throws of a mysterious illness. Estelle was polite and contacted another vet for me when I was having trouble and she was able to squeeze us in for a same day appointment. Joyce was very kind and although we were just there for fluids, she consulted with with other staff trying to think of everything she could do to possibly help my dog get better. Unfortunately, my dog did not recover and passed away the next day. I will always remember the kindness they showed me.

I am going to say that if you are looking for a vet for any reason I *highly* recommend Clairmont Animal Hospital. The staff as a whole have been the most kind, patient, thorough, attentive, and gentle people. We had a serious complication come up with our dog and they worked with us every step of the way to make she got the help she needed, and then continued to reach out and check in on her over the course of the week. They went above and beyond and I cannot be more thankful for what they did. We see Dr. Smith and love him. We also worked with Dr. Matt the morning of the situation occuring and he was also honest but gentle about the news of the complication. Excellent care from a great team.

My dog Mika has been coming here since she was 3 months old. Almost 4 years later, and she is still coming here! Every vet and vet tech is so gentle and patient with her. She mostly sees Dr. Kelly Bradley, but she’s also seen Dr. Matt Bradley, Dr. George, and Dr. Romano. Everyone here knows Mika is reactive, so most of the time she is taken to a different room than me so they can properly examine her. It helps IMMENSELY that they have fear free certified vets. I’m going to have such a hard time finding a place as amazing as Clairmont Animal Hospital when I move away!

Hands down the best experience I've had at a vet in years. After being told my 'aggressive pitbull' needed to be sedated for exams by vets across the county, I was so pleased to take my dog to the vet today and not need to deal with sedation. The happy visits offered are absolute game changers and the staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. Shout out to Joyce for getting my dog from a scared growling mess who wouldn't let any one touch her to a happy and healthy doggo who greets everyone with a wiggly wagging tail.

I cannot say enough nice things about this practice! We just took our vet-traumatized kitty there for vaccines and their kindness and patience was life changing. We made the appointment last month and because we told them our cat is reactive at the vet, Dr. Adams CALLED me to prepare us weeks before. She recommended a particular type of carrier, a particular type of treat, all kinds of little things. Our former vet had been giving us liquid gabapentin, but our cat was always freaked just when we GAVE it to her. Dr. Adams taught us that particular medication is super bitter, so she gave us pills and taught us the EASIEST way to administer them. Our cat has no idea she's taking them! At our visit they were so kind, quiet, respectful. Our cat spits, growls, hisses, and swipes at the vet, but with Dr. Adams in charge she remained mostly under a towel, not able hurt anyone or herself, and she didn't know the difference between the general exam and getting her shots. I never felt she was in pain, just her usual fear, and just out of habit not from anything the staff was doing. Dr. Adams is helping us work on our kitty's social anxiety in the hopes that new people and future visits to the vet will be less scary. I couldn't imagine how it would get better, but after witnessing her exam I know just the littlest things can make a difference. I'm so happy we found this practice!

Dr. Adam's is wonderful. She diagnosed my sweet dog with hypothyroidism. He has gained alot of weight and no other vet had thought to check his thyroid function. In addition to that she prescribed medication to help with his anxiety after our move to Atlanta. I highly recommend her!

I recently took my cat here for the first time for her boosters and yearly check-up. They were great and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly even though my appointment was at the end of the day. The vet also followed up via email with information about my cat's condition after the clinic was closed. They even printed off a coupon for her medication to make it more affordable for me. Her new medication has helped her tremendously, and I'm so glad I've found a great place to take care of her.

HIGHLY recommend Clairmont Animal Hospital. We have seen Dr. Frank Romano and Dr. Matt Bradley but I know the entire staff is incredible. Specifically, Dr. Romano helped us through an extremely challenging medical case with our beloved dog. She had a complex condition and he went above and beyond to answer any questions or concerns and we knew she was in extremely capable hands until the very end. They provide incredible care and we feel so lucky to have them as our vet.

I had been taking my pet to another vet , but after reading that Dr Adams specializes in felines, decided to try a consultation. What a difference after one visit. My cat suffers from chronic kidney disease . She asked questions and could tell by her questions and guidance that she really understood what things I could put in place and watch for to help her gain weight, stabilize the condition. The vet techs who picked her up from my car were also careful ( by holding the carrier in such a way that she felt safe and wouldn’t try escaping) . I’ll be bringing my other cat and recommend Dr Adams to other cat owners.

Most recently my dog has torn both of her ccls and was operated on twice by Dr. Smith. Love Clairmont Animal Hospital. This vet office was referred to me several yrs ago & I have continued to go even though it's 45min away. It is worth it as I have always had a good experience with their staff. They have always been kind to my dog as well!! I love being able to feel at ease anytime I have to bring him in. Today, I took my dog in & they were very organized in their processes during COVID. Dr. Matt Bradley was who my dog had the visit with and he was kind, patient and detailed in providing information and addressing any questions/concerns I had. Due to a recent tragedy, I am now the proud owner of an older, large dog. He is a very good boy, but I was worried about what his health might look like. Clairmont Animal Hospital was very helpful! They caught my new fuzzy roommate up on all of his shots and medications (in 30 minutes or less). And the price was surprisingly reasonable! Further, the staff worked with me on transferring previous medical records. AND everyone was following strict Covid-19 protocol (I am at risk, so this was GREATLY appreciated). They are expanding and offer grooming and boarding services. I see myself and my furry old man going back again and again.

We’ve been going to this vet office for almost 15 years. The doctors are consistently good. It’s hard to have a favorite. We’ve seen Dr. Adams, Dr. George and Dr. Kelly Bradley. I would recommend them all. For most appointments we go with any available doctor because they are so consistently good. We have had particularly great experiences with Dr. Romano in the last couple years. We adopted a pup with a heart condition. He accurately diagnosed her and recommended a cardiologist to fully evaluate. He’s also great with our chi-chi mix that is a scaredy. He is attentive and accessible. I wish human doctors offered this level of care.

I've had three golden retrievers and it feels like Dr. Mike Smith has been as vested in their good health as I have! He's just wonderful during their annual physicals- and lets me know what to look for in the following year. But even better is his care in times of duress. He is soothing, practical and full of integrity and in times of great need has been right there for our dogs- and for us! I highly recommend Clairmont Animal Hospital!

We are first time pet owners and recently took in two stray kittens. They were previously being seen at a different facility. Clairmont Animal Hospital was recommend to us by a friend after our kittens had extremely poor experiences with their previous veterinarian. I took in one of our kittens for a sick visit after she had vomited. Clairmont was able to get her seen the same day. Dr. Hiro was very thorough in his explanations and very gentle in his care. Additionally, the vet techs were amazing! The appointment was smooth, clear and informative. I was very impressed with their level of care, especially for our stray kitten who had experienced trauma. It is very apparent that the veterinarians and staff here truly care about their clients and the animals they are caring for. I am grateful to have been recommend this facility for our pets. Aside from having the most experienced and caring staff members, they are also conveniently open 7 days a week. CAH has been outstanding for the past 2 years with supporting no cost, brief, fear-free "happy visits" for my rescue who is fearful and on-edge at the vet. Ally, in particular, is amazing and has made all of the difference in the world with getting my boi to allow his vaccine shots without any "fuss"--a major accomplishment! After probably a dozen or so happy visits, he gets excited when I let him know we're going to see Ally and he runs to greet her at the office. I am grateful to CAH's dedication to the community by supporting those of us who adopt the "hard" dogs get the care they need.

My dog actually gets excited when he realizes we're going to the vet. The folks here are genuinely so kind and considerate, not to mention professional and knowledgeable. I find their prices reasonable and affordable but I know everyone is different. That said, they're really forthright and helpful when it comes to explaining prices for medicines and services so if that's something you're worried about just call them and ask (they ALWAYS answer the phone it's like a dream). I honestly feel like I lucked out finding this place.

Dr. Lauren Adams has been absolutely wonderful for my dog and for me. Over the last year and a half she has worked closely with me around some behavioral issues with my dog and with some physical issues. She took the time to talk through what I was seeing and have a real dialogue about her perspective and my experience. We figured out that pain was causing some behavioral issues and she worked with me to create a plan that worked for all of us. This has been a very happy outcome that never would have been achieved without her taking the time to really listen and talk to me. Dr. Michael Smith performed a laparoscopic spay on my 6 month old kitten; I live 4 hours away, and no other veterinarians in my vicinity are equipped to do cat spaying laparoscopically. I had major abdominal surgery twice myself, so a minimally invasive approach to spaying was important to me if it was possible. Everyone at Clairmont Animal Hospital was very professional and accommodating, and focused on their furry patient, treating pets like the important family members that they are. It was worth the trip and then-some. We were even back home before dark, and I received a followed-up call this afternoon making sure everything was going OK.

We have been very impressed by Dr. Adams at Clairmont Animal Hospital, and trust her completely with our dog's care. We have a special needs dog because of her diabetes, and Dr. Adams monitors our dog carefully and makes adjustments to her insulin dose as needed. Thanks to her good care, our dog is happy, healthy, and active, and we expect her to lead a long and healthy life despite her condition. Dr. Adams is also a compassionate doctor and goes above and beyond for families -- she has responded to my questions via email in the evenings or on weekends when she's not in the office. Most recently, my mother-in-law in Monroe was dog-sitting while we were out of the country, and she ran out of insulin. She contacted Dr. Adams, who called around to several local pharmacies around Monroe to find insulin for her! I have nothing but great things so say about Dr. Smith and his team! Our dog Phoebe unfortunately tore her CCL playing with another dog and had to have surgery to repair it. Dr. Smith was able to get us in quickly, kept us informed the entire time and made sure we had all of the details we needed pre, during and post op. He even went as far as checking in with us on Phoebe’s recovery after his long days. We are still in the recovery process and Phoebe is doing great so far! The staff and vets here are so kind and knowledgeable. My dog gets very nervous about going to the vet, and they made every effort to keep him calm, including coming out to the parking lot with peanut butter to meet him for the first time. I was also incredibly impressed when the vet tech managed to hold my little guy still with one hand while drawing blood with the other (and on her first try!). The only drawback was how expensive the medications here are - however, when I mentioned that I usually pay less by ordering online they were nice enough to price match. I cannot recommend this place enough. Despite moving away from the area, I will be sure to make the trip back for check-ups because of how incredibly well they have treated both me and my dog.

I honestly cannot put into words just how wonderful the whole staff was, but I can say that I happily drove just over an hour to visit them whenever my dog needed their care. I too used to be frustrated by veterinary prices (I've been to over 5 different vets in almost 2 years), but I'm glad to have those really bad experiences so I could appreciate this one. I was sad to see "can't afford the bill" and "inconsiderate" in some reviews because this was one of the better priced places, and everyone I've met in this facility has been SO welcoming and so considerate of both my pet's needs and my needs as well. I came here for an expensive surgery (so I knew what I was in for), but I cannot say enough about how caring the staff was. Joyce was a wonderful assistant and my dog loves her, plus our surgeon Dr. Smith put my anxieties at rest as he went over the procedure several times and reassured me my dog was in the best possible hands. The price I paid for the surgery was $500 LESS than a previously quoted surgeon (who was condescending and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him), AND Dr. Smith allowed us two post-surgery check-ups free of charge. I am so happy with this clinic, and I will be coming here for all of my veterinary needs. Thank you to the staff at Clairmont Animal Hospital for treating me and my dog like we were family.

Clairmont Animal Hospital is the best! From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with smiling, helpful faces. It’s easy to get in and out of the parking lot, and there are extra spots in the back as well. The vets and vet techs are so helpful and will spend all the time you need listening to your concerns and answering questions. The vets are so good with the animals! For example, I took my dog in to have his anal glands depressed. The vet lubricated her gloved finger before checking the glands—no other vet has EVER done that, in my experience. My pet also had a surgery done here: A vet tech called the day before the surgery to go over pre-op instructions, the vet that performed the surgery called once the surgery was complete to update me on how the procedure went, and I received a call the day after to make sure my pet was recovering well. The surgery was affordable, the incision was clean and nicely sutured, and my pet had no complications. I’ve emailed them questions and received prompt responses and even take my dog by from time to time to visit (so he actually LIKES the vet’s office). I couldn’t recommend this team any more highly! You will not regret entrusting your furry friends to this hospital!

We have three cats: one senior cat (16y) and two young siblings (1y) that we recently adopted. I have seen three different doctors here: Dr. Adams, Dr. George and Dr. Hiro and I'm convinced every doctor here is a rock star. Dr. George did a dental cleaning for our senior cat Smokey and he removed two problem teeth that were causing him mouth pain. Smokey healed up like a champ and Dr. George was very caring and compassionate throughout the process. Dr. Adams saw Smokey for his tooth surgery follow up and she saw our two new kittens Orion and Calypso for their first vet visit right after we adopted them. On top of providing great care for my cats, Dr. Adams gave us great advice on how to integrate two kittens with a senior cat and recommended some awesome automatic feeders that only open for the correct cat. This is the kind of advice and care you get from a top notch vet practice. Finally, today I brought Orion in for a checkup because he wasn't eating and generally wasn't being himself. I needed the first appointment available and they got me in same-day due to someone canceling. I got to meet and work with Dr. Hiro and he was also fantastic. He explained each step of his diagnosis and helped me understand what he was doing and why along the way. He very much made me a part of the process and I appreciated that. I am convinced that no matter what doctor I get here, I will have a great experience. I find that the prices are fair and while they are not a "cheap" or low cost practice, they will work with you if cost is a concern and explain what each test or medicine is and why they are suggesting it so you are part of the decision process. I moved here to Atlanta about a year ago from the northeast and its great to have found a vet practice that I can trust.

As of this writing, Clairmont Animal Hospital is the best reviewed vet in the area. Let me tell you, that is with very good reason. I've been to other vets. They did their job in general, and I always used to wince at the bill at the end. I decided to go somewhere new, and found CAH was very well reviewed. It lived up to it's reputation in every way. The staff was welcoming, quick, and very helpful. Dr. George was superlative. He had an amazing attention to detail - he gave a much more in-depth and insightful exam and diagnosis than I have been used to from other hospitals. He was also very well-read and gave me a full range of options with detailed information (from the top of his head) about all of the medications involved, while still letting me make the decision about the best course of action. I left feeling very confident about the treatment, and what the next steps are going forward. And to top it all off, the bill was less than I'm used to paying. Clairmont Animal Hospital is the only vet I'll ever go to again. Their staff is top notch and their vets are attentive and knowledgeable. I used to see Dr. Desai, who saved my pup's vision, after diagnosing her with an autoimmune disease. She left to study Opthalmology, so we now see Dr. George, who is just as awesome. My only small qualm is that getting nails trimmed there is upwards of $20, and the techs miss at least one nail every time.

Ya'll I never write reviews but this is the best vet office I have ever been to. My dog, Maggie, was referred here and needed an emergency appointment. They fit her right in and asked us to come later that day. When I walked in I was so nervous because I know vet visits are so expensive in Atlanta and knew I would be paying way more than my pocket allowed. The front office staff were angels and chatted with me before we were seen and the tech loved all over my dog while waiting for the doctor. Dr. Hiro walked in and was the NICEST and most warm doctor ever! He made us feel right at home and comfortable and gave a quick but thorough exam and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. He really cared about my dog and about me feeling relaxed and knowing she was going to be okay. He was very money conscious and the visit was about $200 cheaper than what I was expecting for that type of visit. We have found our new home and are confident that they will always put you and your baby first!

I recently took my 11 year old Labrador retriever to Dr Smith for surgery. Our sweet dog (who is blind now) had developed a growth on her belly that was getting larger, and we were concerned about surgery at her age. After consulting with Dr Smith, he removed the tumor, and our dog came through the procedure without any problems! She did so well, and we are all glad that we decided to proceed with the surgery. Wish we could rate higher than 5 stars! The vets and their entire staff are thorough, compassionate, proactive, and helpful. It's clear that pets are their clients, yet they are totally considerate about owners' needs, concerns, budgets, and schedules. Clairmont has been our vet for a few years, and we've been so happy with them, but just shots and annual treatment until now. Our dog was attacked by another dog and had a "crushing" wound (deeper/worse/harder to treat & heal vs. a puncture wound). When we transferred our dog's care from the ER facility back to Clairmont, our regular vet got the update from St. Francis, then gave a detailed update and outlined a plan of action w/the Clairmont vet who was working over the weekend, (proactive vs. us asking "what will happen over the weekend). The office mgr. called to see how our dog was doing, then had the dr. call back to answer additional questions. Daily follow-up and lots of patience in explaining the details. e.g., re: home care, they explained "think of it like a migraine, keep disruptive noise & light to a minimum." Also connected us with a great pet sitter re: after-care assistance needed. Extended hours are a huge help! Love everyone there, but big shout-outs to Dr. Adams, Dr. Bradley, Beth, Erin, & Dannie (sp?).

Took my puppy here after he had a fall in the back yard and was limping. They were nice to him despite him being a bit grumbly and scared. The vet was very friendly. I had been a client of Dearborn until I felt they cared more about pushing services and procedures than my puppy. I was not offered any products or services unrelated to my visit. No flea or tick meds etc. They did not mention neutering him. Dearborn constantly did this and the constant upselling was annoying and off putting. They said he had plenty enough vaccines already. They muzzled him to inspect his hurt leg and calmly handled him with ONE tech and the vet. They did not administer ANY services without asking me. Vet calmly ASKED if I would be willing to submit him to an X Ray. I agreed. The bill was a tad high ($205) but I'm happy to be sure there were no breaks. Puppy is doing much better. THANK YOU for everything. We will be returning.

*Long story of 3 separate occasions, so for the TL:DR population, Clairmont Animal Hospital and staff are GREAT!!! The quality trumps the price. This place is well worth it, because no one said owning and caring for one's pets would be cheap* I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to come to Clairmont Animal Hospital for 3 events in less than a year for one cat. First with Dr. Hiro, then Dr. Desai, and now with Dr. Smith. This establishment and staff have always gone above and beyond and I can't thank or praise them enough for their professionalism, dedication to their jobs and clients, and most of all their compassion. I was sent to them initially by my vet for what I thought was an emergency issue, but turned out to be indigestion. Thank you, Dr. Hiro. Not more than a week later or so later, I had to turn around for a true emergency. My cat already was exhibiting signs of an upper respiratory infection, which I was going to address, but she went out and didn't come back for 24 hours. When she did return, she had fluid coming from her ear, head tilted, and couldn't walk straight. I thought she had been hit by a car, so I immediately took her to an emergency vet clinic. Was told it was an inner ear issue and if she didn't improve within the next 3 days to bring her back. (Cost $500) Her condition was in rapid decline when I brought her home that same night, so I called my vet the next day who suggested I take her to Clairmont because I couldn't be seen by them until Monday. I met Dr. Desai that day. She was very calm, told me truths, but always insisted on a good outcome with a trying spirit. All throughout my visit I was expecting to hear "we can always put her down," something I've been told twice before with my other cats , and was expecting to hear again, but she never came close to insisting that option, even though I could see in her face that she knew that there was a negative possibility, but she kept telling me "we're going to try." My cat ended up having a 3 day stay in the hospital, and Dr. Desai even came in on her off day to check on her progress. She made a miraculous recovery, it even astounded the staff. The hospital stay + aftercare (less than $500). Recently we had to return for a fractured femur. I was sent to St. Francis (another AMAZING group of people) who took x-rays and gave me options for surgery ($4k-$7k) or amputation ($1,500-$4k) with 2 other establishments, but I ended up back with Clairmont. I settled on the cheaper option of amputation, but felt terrible because it was a fracture, not a break. Dr. Desai and Dr. Smith both called me and spoke with me about the situation and both expressed that they felt that the leg could be saved. I was devastated because besides the fact that surgery is beyond expensive, each establishment wanted their money upfront. Family and friends told me to put my cat down, but if there's a will, there's a way, and Dr. Smith and his staff worked with me to make the surgery possible. Now I have a very happy, titanium limbed cat, thanks to Dr. Smith and his amazing colleagues and staff. =^.^=

I want to give my eternal thanks and gratitude to the staff at Clairmont Animal Hospital for the amazing care they gave my precious Chloe. A most special thanks to Dr. Jiro, Joyce and the amazing Dr. Smith! We adopted Chloe about 5 years ago and unbeknownst to us she had a major underlying condition that we were completely unaware had existed. Chloe became ill and her stomach appeared to be bloated so I called the office and was told to bring Chloe in right away. Emily talked to us about what was going on with her and took Chloe back to see Dr. Jiro. Everything appeared to check out fine but just as a precaution since she was bloated they decided to do a x-ray. That is when it was discovered that ALL of little Chloe's organs with the exception of her stomach and kidneys were in her chest cavity. She had a diaphragmatic hernia and all of these organs had slipped through the hole and gone to her chest cavity. Dr. Jiro talked to us and explained that immediate surgery would be necessary. Dr. Smith then came and talked to us about what needed to be done and made room in his very busy schedule to take Chloe the next day and do her surgery. Chloe pulled through the surgery and spent Memorial Day weekend at St. Francis so she could be watched 24 hours a day. Dr. Smith called to check on her every day and even called me as well. Joyce even called to check on Chloe after they returned to the office after Memorial Day! Chloe went back yesterday for her follow up and everyone is just simply amazed at how well she has recovered. This surgery was nothing short of a miracle and a life saver for our precious baby! I can not give high enough praises for this wonderful staff. Thank you Dr. Smith! You are Chloe's hero!

On Friday morning i found my dear cat, Java, barely moving and lying in front of his water bowl. He didn't want to eat and when I picked him up, felt like a dishrag. I immediately brought him to Clairmont Animal Hospital where Dr. Adams immediately went to work to find out what was wrong. She soon called back with the diagnosis of ketoacidosis, one of the most serious complications of diabetes. After spending a day in her care to hydrate him, try to get his glucose level down , and balance his electrolytes, I had to take Java to emergency care at St. Francis. The next morning at 8:30, I picked Java up and returned him to Dr. Adams, who was back at Clairmont, ready to do her best to save Java. She tried various approaches to take care of him, called me Sunday evening with an update, then transferred his care to Dr. Iwamoto on Monday. Sadly, his liver was failing and I had to make the tough decision to let him go, which I did this morning. I want to thank Dr. Adams, Dr. Iwamoto, Dr. George, who has provided care for all of my animals for many years, and Dr. Smith, who runs the practice and is a kind, caring, generous person. I can't say enough about the exceptional care at Clairmont Animal Hospital. While I am heartbroken after the sudden loss of a dear pet, I am grateful that he was in such good hands in his last few days.

Update: Still a five star review, but adding more detail about my ongoing experience. Since we moved in 2019, I was anxious about leaving my dogs for boarding (they normally stayed with my parents that lived locally) anywhere. I have always felt at ease with the staff here at Clairmont. Unfortunately my oldest (17) crossed the bridge last year, but I wanted to thank the amazing techs for always carrying him when he needed help, singing to him, and being so patient with my old man. They would always tell me not to worry and he'd have a good time. I can't tell you how grateful I was for their compassion. Knowing Fletcher might have some issues adjusting to being on his own, they even gave him a top kennel where he could "keep an eye on things" and feel more secure. These are small but very meaningful things the staff here does, but doesn't always get recognized for. Thank you so much to all the staff and doctors here - you are so appreciated. The staff and Dr. Romano took great care of my senior dachshund, Oscar. Even with Covid restrictions, they are fast, friendly, and professional. So glad I am close to a wonderful animal hospital for my pets. Highly recommend.
