I had gone to another vet for my puppy's 8 week check-up and did not get the best feeling there. For her next round of shots, I took some time to research other vets and came across Chastain Animal Clinic. Let me just say that I am super happy with how they handled everything, even with Covid-19. The vet spent 30 minutes on the phone with me making sure she answered every question I had, and made me feel very at ease. It really does feel like they truly care about your pets, and that is the most important thing for me. So glad I found them! Thank you so much!

This is a great clinic for your pet. The staff were helpful and friendly and despite being short staffed. They were also still super efficient and looks like everyone loves working there. I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Smith and she is a great veterinarian! Would recommend fully! Only minor improvement would be knowing ahead of time that the office is closed for lunch until 2pm. I was told to show up early to fill out paperwork but it wasn’t needed since the doors were locked until 2.

I have been using Chastain Animal Clinic for my dog since she was a puppy. We have always received excellent care and everyone is there has always been so helpful. We recently visited due to my dog having a really bad case of diarrhea and saw Dr. Miller. She was really good at explaining things and was able to provide medication that had my dog feeling much better by the next morning. We've had our cat in the care of Chastain Animal Clinic since he arrived here as a kitten in May, 2019. Dr. Bridget Miller was his first vet encounter and it was wonderful! It is apparent that she and all the assistants truly love their clients. We have the good fortune of seeing Dr. Miller each time our pet has been there, with the exception of the doctor who performed his neutering due to Dr. Miller being out of town when he needed to be scheduled. Dr. Miller and the doctor who performed the surgery are very professional and also very warm and kind, always listening closely and responding to every concern. They and all the staff genuinely love our sweet boy. We love them in return.

There are only positive things to say about Chastain Animal Clinic. Even when my dog needs to go in for surgery, he comes home happy. He needed dental cleaning and, even after anesthesia, came back home his normal happy self. They are truly caring while totally professional. Rare.

Love Chastain Animal Clinic! We have been coming here for almost 4 years now. The staff and doctors are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They have always been able to get my dogs in for last minute appointments with little to no wait time. They also try to save you money by only recommending services that truly need to be done. Additionally, they have a reward system where you get points for every dollar you spend and can use those for discounts for future appointments. I know my fur babies are in the best hands at Chastain, and we appreciate everything you do!

Got our first Golden Retriever pup about 3 years ago and we selected a few vets from the internet for East Cobb and made some calls. Chastain sounded like the kind of place we wanted to find: good with customer on phone; easy to make an appointment; and the vets on staff had good resume credentials with some years of experience. We tried them out and found them to be a very, very reliable professional practice with vets who have the kind of practice experience we wanted. Have had a variety of issues with our three dogs over the 3 years and we have been handled quite well in each occasion. I do recommend them whenever the opportunity is available.

Just moved to the area and took my baby girl in today. I was worried because it was her first time getting her annual shots since adoption. With the pandemic I was unable to go in and be with her, both her big bother and I waited in the parking lot. We first met Dr. Treva Marshall several years ago, when we were looking to adopt Kali, who was/is blind and diabetic. Dr. Marshall and the entire staff impressed us so much, that we made them our only vet, and moved our other dog's records there, too. The staff is warm & welcoming, knowledgeable & quick to respond to any questions we have. Both of our pups, now 11 & 12 yrs. old feel right at home with the staff at Chastain Animal Clinic. This is a top of the line vet! I won't take my pet anywhere else! We use to live in Smyrna however, we moved last year about an hour away yet we still take our pet to this vet as well board him when going out of town. Both Dr's are wonderful as well the staff is so kind every time! They offer a paw plan that has saved us thousands and for sure a huge recommendation to all who take their pets here or plan to in the future. If you are from out of state as we are or with in the area looking for a vet you can trust that will offer plans to assist as well be surrounded by those who treat you pet as family....this is the place! It's Georgia and I cannot remember the last time I was so close to a tech or doctor that I could " spread" a virus that has not affected me at all. I do not who's working at this office anymore. I bring my 10 year young pit bull to Chastain Animal Clinic. The staff is always friendly and fast to check you in. They also are helpful to answer any questions i have. The vet is very informative with any questions I ask and my dog is happy because the staff is so kind to her. Overall great experience. The rates are reasonable as well. We have been going here for our baby, Trixie, for 7 years. We love Ethel. She has been with us along along and she is amazing. We have had some ups and downs in the last couple of years with our physician, but now we see Dr. Visco. She really listens and without being asked jumped right in offering a treatment that I have been requesting for two years. That really spoke volumes to me. I will never stray from this practice. We have been squeezed in so many times and were never treated like we are a bother. I honestly cannot say enough about the practice. They have PAW Plans which is a monthly fee and it offsets so much cost. Unlike pet insurance, it helps right on the spot. No filing and waiting for reimbursement. Best practice ever!

I’d have to say that these people do care about animals, but they also care about that money more 💰 i had to tell them 3 different times what we were here for and they persisted on even more and trying to get a monthly plan for me (that’s not necessary). I had the lady vet on the phone with me and i told her just to give him the shots he needed today and she went around that; and also tried to get even more from me once again. Proceeded to tell her what i already did tell her twice now and she put me on hold for 10 mins to have someone else come out to me to ask what i had already told her i wanted on the phone. Like i said they do care here and they are nice people, but if you wanna pay at least twice as much as you should, this is your place.

I left my other vet clinic because of various issues. Going to Chastain has alleviated all the issues I had before. The wait time is minimal and there are several doctors on staff. Everyone (doctors and staff) is friendly and competent. The doctors are thorough and the techs are super with the animals.

I like that the building is easily visible from the road, and on the inside there is a side of the waiting room for dogs and their owners and the opposite side it is for cats and their owners. I think this place is a great option for veterinarian services, the people who work here clearly love animals. They offer everything, even tooth cleaning! I have been taking my Dingo mix to Chastain for maybe around 2.5-3 years. My baby girl, Cleopatra, has had lots of visits since she’s always having some kind of digestion issue. The vets have great recommendations that I’ve used and worked for my dog. It’s rarely slammed when I go, I try to make appointments first thing in AM or midday. They have an app to use for scheduling, medication refills, rewards, her medical chart, etc. It’s great and I love using it. Definitely recommend.

I waited 30 mins in the car past the appointment time for the staff to take my dog in for his appointment. Then after I checked out and paid by phone from outside, it took another 20 min and another phone call to the front desk for them to bring my dog out. I get that they were busy, but it should not take 2 hours for a wellness visit for immunizations and a checkup. Since this office went corporate the service has gone south.

We've only been to their clinic once, but it was a great experience. My husband and I accidentally missed a dosage of flea & tick on our dogs and they developed really nasty rashes presumably from flea bites, on their bellies. We've just moved down here from NJ and hadn't chosen a vet yet. A friend of ours recommended Chastain and I'm very happy with our choice to listen to him. We made an appointment last minute and they were willing to see us even though they sounded pretty booked. When we got there, we only had to wait a few minutes before we were called back. They diagnosed her quickly and efficiently and didn't try to sell us on a bunch of items or medications (like Banfield does for example). She gave us a quote and let us make the decision that was best for us and our pup. All-in-all, a wonderful experience and we will be going back for any future animal needs.

Having recently moved to the Smyrna area, we were in need of a new vet and were referred to Chastain Animal Clinic by our neighbors. We were fortunate to have our dog and one of our cats seen by Dr. Marshall and she was wonderful. She addressed all of our concerns with an incredibly friendly demeanor that helped to keep both of us and our pets at ease. Best of all, she recommended treatment options that were very affordable which is a nice change of pace from our previous vet * cough * Briarcliff Animal Clinic * cough *, who used scare tactics to guilt-trip us into insanely expensive, and likely, unnecessary procedures. Needless to say, we'll be going back and would highly recommend Chastain Animal Clinic.

After finding blood in my cat's urine last night, I called Chastain Animal Clinic as soon as they opened today. Not only did they have an appointment at 10:30am, they were amazing! The cat was not the easiest patient to say the least, but they were nothing but incredibly sweet taking care of him and me. He needed to have X-rays and a urinalysis done, and needed to be sedated to get everything done, and he'd already eaten this morning, so they took him back and kept him most of the day. They were fantastic about keeping me updated on what was going on. I hate that he was such a little jerk, but I can't sing their praises enough.

Friendly staff, Well educated Doctors. Don't let the décor fool you. I initially stopped by to get an appointment. When I saw the circa 1979 décor I thought hmm if they are this behind on décor what else are they behind on? Then I started asking for referrals. After three different people recommended them I set up an appt. Have been very pleased for last 8 years. Doctors know how I feel about my dog and would mortgage my home if she needed something. They have never taken advantage of that and I think they logically think through the process similar to what I would do. I'm very pleased.
