*Highly recommended* I have 2 furbabies that see Dr Beck. He is amazing with handling my large extremely selective husky. They give very clear explanations and personable after care follow ups. The staff is super friendly and respectful. I completely trust them to provide services to my puppers. side note kudos to the new hired for being patent and courteous when answering my 50 questions. Even though she didn't have all the answers, she took the time to quickly get the information we ended the call with me being fully informed. Great job guys other vet clinics in the area needs to take notes!!

The doctors and staff are nothing but amazing. When it came to Niko’s routine visits and nail trims he was always comfortable around everyone. When it came time to say the hard goodbye, I was explained the process and was given as much time as I needed. Everyone was very compassionate and understanding. Great veterinarians as always, I recommend and trust them! The veterinarians are so loving, caring and patient. They are thorough even when you drop of your furry babies for an exame. I felt vet was on top of the issues even before I asked. On the other hand... Front desk answered all my questions promptly and have a good phone etiquette however when I was there to check out, the front desk gave me hard time when I requested them to have the veterinarian provide a RX instead of getting all the prescribed medication for my puppy with them. That was unprofessional as I knew my vet could and would do it without any issues. I just didn't understand why front desk (2 ladies) had to push back and say that they could not? A customer that was being helped on the other counter told me that it was weird of them not letting me get a prescription... In the end one of the woman told the other one to just say "Yes" (?!?) and to go ask the vet for an RX. That was an unfortunate issue that I hope others don't experience. We want the best for our babies and we should be able to shop around if price is not what we can pay at the moment.

We had a lil baby cat emergency and thought it was serious. And we went to the closest Vet, which is VCA East Anchorage Animal. They saw our concern and took Fluffy right away!! The Dr. Looked at her and said she was good... She got squished in the door pretty good, it scared both my husband, and myself. I know our kids were too but they were tough, supportive to and through... Any how the nurse there reassured us that Fluffy was fine. The nurse Christine(or with a K) was very very kind and helpful. Because Fluffy was fine, we didn't get charged. The Dr. Was awesome, actually everybody was awesome!!! They saw how upset we were and comforted us.We plan to get the Momma cat and baby cats 🐈 a full check up and shots... We plan on doing a follow up there...

I have been taking my fur babies here for over 40 yrs. They have always been a great place for them. Recently my cat had an abscess on her face. I called and got her in SAME DAY for a drop off. Her wonderful vet on that day got her abscess cleaned out, stitched up, antibiotics and pain reliever. I was so grateful!!! My other cat had a urinary problem that I took to pet emergency 3 times for. VCA East Anchorage checked her out, found the issue (crystals in her bladder), put her on Royal Canin special food, and she has NEVER had a problem since (and she loves the food!). They know what they are doing! Thank you VCA East Anchorage!!

I switched vets in the beginning of the pandemic. I would drop my dog off and only talk to the vet on the phone, not meeting them for 18 months. It was tough because I was switching from a vet clinic in town who traumatized my dog into not wanting to go to the vet. These guys are great. Everyone I've worked with from the front desk to the vet has listen to my concerned, answered my questions, and treated my dog as a professional should.

i’ve been taking my two boys here for the last 3 years & the staff is 10/10 incredible. just to name a few Bobbi & Suzy at the reception are always very sweet & caring. they know my boys & i by name and they always have a friendly smile to greet you with. Dr. Foreman was our main vet and we absolutely adore her. she’s very easy to get along with and you can tell how much she loves her job and her patients. we are sad to be leaving the state, but so happy with the service these last couple years

The vets and the vet techs at this clinic are very professional, compassionate, and polite. I had to put my 12-year-old dog down because of a splenic rupture, and the doctor let me stay with her as long as I liked in their spare room after. I bring my other dog here all the time, he's a bit more difficult than she was, and they know cut to the chase with him. They handle my insurance in a timely manner. Update after 7 years: Still great! I called after a long weekend because my dog got himself a scratch on his eye and it was looking kinda gross but it wasn't an emergency, the front desk said Dr. Maggie was overbooked but I could text a picture. Dr. Maggie called that same morning saying "Hey you can bring him in or we can try antibiotics, it looks minor" (which to her credit is basically a free visit, so I don't expect that to happen often or really ever) and I was able to pick up the antibiotics that afternoon. She really cares about your pet.

We've had multiple check-ups, ermegency scares, and eventually the passing of our pets here. The veterinarians and employees are very personable and otherwise great to be around. They offer exceptional service, even if they do lose paperwork on occasion. A great and caring place to take your furrier family members in the event they need medical care.

There's not a better Vet Clinic in Anchorage. We drive from the opposite side of town just to visit this clinic for two of our dogs. We have contemplated switching our 3rd dog to this clinic as well. The staff and Dr Maggie always go the extra mile to accommodate us. They have really made caring for our special needs dogs less stressful and we love that they routinely check up on our dogs to make sure they are doing well.

Once they got us checked in there was a short wait to get into the exam room and a fairly short wait before seeing the vet. Would recommend to others looking for a quality vet!

I got my dog spay at VCA East. I was very scare about the procedure because my dog is almost 7 years old. VCA did a great job. She heal well and fast. I only didn't enjoy the staff member that took my dogs labs days before the surgery. She seems to mad because my dog was scare and she was not confortable with other dogs aroung wanting to play. That actitute almost made me turn away and cancel the apt but I am glad I didn't because the vet that helped my dog was super nice and kept my dog safe. The vet even answered text messages and check with me every week to see how my dog was healing or if I had any concerns. I will use them in the future for wellness checks and other procedures!

I've brought my cat a few times for routine exams and shots and each visit has been pleasant. I was impressed with their implementation of curbside service during Covid. The technician came out to the parking lot and collected my cat while I waited in my car. The vet called me afterwards to go over the exam and answer any questions I had.

When my dog had cancer, the vet called me personally to give me the results and to answer all of my "what next" questions! This clinic went above and beyond to make sure our pup was seen and treated, all while exercising great care with social distancing/protective measures. Have an older pup who couldn’t stand when she woke up. Watched her for a bit. Tried to feed her but she wouldn’t eat. Got concerned and called East Anchorage VCA (our reg vet clinic). They told me to bring her right in. When I arrived they already had check in paperwork done and I immediately saw Dr Maggie. After checking Ivy out, they prescribed some meds and sent us home. She’s back to her normal ol’ self thanks to these folks. Probably an over-reaction on my part taking her in but can’t thank all these people enough for their quick response on such short notice. Five stars aren’t enough!

They were able to see our 10 year old lab mix right away and scheduled his complicated tooth extraction for a few days after he'd been on antibiotics. Our dog loves the place and everyone that works there. We were thrilled when they stayed within the estimated price. We'll go there for all our Vet visits.

I absolutely loved this place! I was out of town in the lower 48 when my poor dog was hit by a car. I was so worried and didn't know what to do. They were amazing and took amazing care of her. (They even were concerned she had been hurt by my boyfriend who brought her in and kept her safe and isolated till I could confirm he never would hurt her. Seems strange to appreciate but knowing the level of care They had was so reassuring) They called me every time they made a change in her care and asked me how I wanted to proceed every step of the way. They call and check up on her frequently and are so invested in her recovery. By far the best vet I've ever had!

Great vet!! I have an older pug who has had occasional seizures in the past, but experienced several in a row last night. We are a military family and we were seeing the vets on base for vaccinations, but they couldn't help with his seizures. I called VCA, since they are very close to base, at 8am this morning and got an appointment a few hours later. I didn't have to do any waiting, the staff was super friendly, and got him on the meds he needed right away. The prices were very reasonable, and if you go on their website they even have a coupon for a free initial visit which I also used. They even cleaned his ears for me! Very, very happy with my experience and I highly recommend!!

Love Dr. Lewis and the girls at the front desk! Last summer, while trail running with my dog, he came back to me with his nose/mouth/jaw full of porcupine quills. I took him to the VCA East, and the staff was so helpful and efficient. Between scary little accidents and regular check-ups, I wouldn't want to take my dog anywhere else!

Overall we have had nothing but positive experiences here with both of our German Shepherds. Dr. Foreman is a great Vet and very happy to do whatever it takes for the both the patients and the owners to be comfortable and taken care of. The front counter girls are always very pleasant and happy, and you can tell the staff genuinely loves animals. Freya and Hammer both enjoy their visits, and what impressed me the most about Dr. Foreman was how she was concerned about Freya being sick when I was in an appointment for Hammer and gave me some medicine to take home to her (that worked btw) and they actually called to check on both of them. It is hard to find a vet that you can trust completely, but we found ours. She will go above and beyond, don't hesitate to give them a call if you are looking for services. Oh and they weren't pushy with the Care Club information, even with my other pup when we were trying to decide whether to get insurance through AKC or use Care Club again, so there is that too.

We love VCA. We had a very bad experience with a traveling vet here a few years ago, but Dr. Mandy is absolutely amazing! She is so down to earth. She actually cares about you and your pet, not about upcharging you. I love the way the office preps for your visit with a goodie bag and welcome sign 😍 Their policy of conferencing with you about the charges BEFORE they do anything just really puts me at ease. Plus, they were very kind about telling me my dog is overweight 😂 I know, I know... we both need more walks!

I am sorry that it took me so long to write this review, since this is a very hard review for me and I apologize for how long it is going to be. A few months ago, my girl Snowball got sick. I thought that she had had a stroke and I immediately brought her in. We were seen right away by Dr. Lewis. It was determined that she was diabetic and had the vestibule syndrome. Dr Lewis was very caring with her and myself, since I was a bit hysterical. I had had my girl since she was a baby and she was going to be 17 in December. I was able to take her home with me that day. It was a very rough week for both her and myself. She wasn't able to eat or drink on her own and was having a very hard time walking. I brought her back to have Dr. Lewis see how she was doing, which was not good. She had lost some weight and the improvement that Dr Lewis wanted, she wasn't seeing it. We discussed that due to her age, Dr Lewis felt that she would not likely get any better and would have no quality of life. I made the extremely difficult decision to have her put to sleep, as I could not let her go on, as sick as she was. I was there when she took her last breath. Dr. Lewis was so wonderful thru the whole process as was the staff. There is a light on the front desk that is turned on when someone makes the decision to put their furbaby to sleep. It is a very kind thing for them to do. I choose to have her cremated and it took about 6 weeks to get her ashes back. I also was given a paw print from her that was set in plaster. Shortly after she was gone, I did receive a sympathy card from Dr Lewis that was handwritten by her. This gesture really touched my heart. When her ashes were available to he picked up, I walked into the clinic but was so distraught that I was barely able to speak. A very kind lady, who was in the waiting room and who I did not know, put her arm around me as I cried. A gesture like that reminds me that there are still kind people out there. I hope that she knows how much that meant to me. THANK YOU to the staff and especially Dr Lewis for the kindness that you showed me and Snowball. I am still mourning her loss and it will take a long time to recover. Her brother, Sebastian, misses his sister very much and cries for her everyday. I just hope that he will be able to recover from this.

Dr. Townshend is great. He was the vet for my mom's cocker spaniel for several years. Mandy was 16 years old when we had to put her down. The whole staff was very compassionate and gave us as much time as we needed with her in the last moments of her life. We were also able to stay afterward and say our goodbyes in their private room. The private room also has a door to the outside so when I left I didn't have to walk through the waiting room while sobbing. And now I bring MY fur-baby here for all medical needs. She gets amazing treatment and I always get my questions answered. And they never get upset when she gets excited and pees on the floor.

Our Cat Sheepy had a bloated belly for the last few days and with one appointment they were able to diagnose the problem and get surgery right away, we couldn't be more thankful with how kind and helpful they were with our cat, our baby. Never going anywhere else.

Cat ate something funky in the early hours of the morning. Woke me up with some puke on the chest. Went to the vet nearby, told him what was going on. They gave him a quick bit of something from a vial into Chui's mouth which induced further vomiting, told me to keep an eye on him while at home and make sure he has plenty of liquids. 18 hours later and Chui's never been better! And all for 20 bucks~ Now I can't say this is the best clinic in town, but it sure as hell is the best clinic I've ever been to!
