I love this location. The technicians are nice and the vet doctors. Hershey has been coming here for 9+ years and she'll be 10 in November. Hersheyyyyy is a wireharried dachsund terrier. AVC does have pawplans and it's beneficial to pay 700+ with an array of services attached to it. I know they can be pricey but it's worth it. This vet clinic also does teeth cleaning and they do a great job.

The clinic staff really cares about your pets and the people those pets have adopted. Our hairless cat loves all the cuddles she receives from the staff. Our dog gets his teeth cleaned and no longer smells like he ate something dead. These are truly wonderful and caring people.

We have been bringing our dogs here all since they were puppies, about 5 years. Every person- front desk, techs, doctors- is always so kind and caring. As a very anxious dog owner, the only downside is that the wait for an appointment is over 4 weeks, but unfortunately this is not unlike any other clinic across the country right now. Their urgent care appointments are great, although hard to get. Each person here genuinely seems to care about the well being of animals and is very understanding of the sometimes very frantic calls I have made! Thank you, we appreciate each of you! I would absolutely recommend this clinic to everyone!

I have taken my cat and dog here for the last 6 years. The doctors and staff have been amazing, always caring and compassionate, helpful in every way! They performed emergency surgery and saved my cat’s life in 2017. They bend over backwards to accommodate my reactive German shepherd. I am forever grateful to everyone at Alaska Veterinary Clinic!

I’ve been going to Alaska Vet Clinic for 3 years and it’s been the best vet experience I’ve had for my dog. Everyone who works there is always friendly, helpful, and professional. Dr Sandstrom is great with my dog who is very skittish and doesn’t like many people. I highly recommend the Alaska Veterinary Clinic. You won’t be disappointed.

Not a lot of choice in Anchorage, but I recommend going elsewhere if that's an option. The vets and techs are kind and seem to do good work, but the place is run like a money mill. For example, a $22 fee for being 8 minutes late to an appointment that only took 10 minutes and cost $250. No way that interfered with another appointment. If the charge was to teach me a lesson, I agree that I learned something.

So happy with the care for my dog here! Ghost saw Dr. Schmidt for a pre-exam and neuter. We had been getting all his routine care at the SPCA, but due to COVID-19 they weren't booking neuters out til June. Since we're moving to a remote village, I wanted to make sure Ghost was taken care of. AVC made special accommodations and got us in with a week's notice and 10 days before our move so my guy has time to heal before travel. It was hard just dropping him at the door having never met these people but they were super informative and kept me up to date. I dropped him off at 8 and Dr. Schmidt called around 1130 to let me know he was out of surgery and give me all the post op information. They also discovered an ear infection and sent him home with treatment for that. Ghost was pretty drunk the rest of the day, but is already starting to feel better 24 hours later. Also they said I could email pictures of any concerns and they would try to evaluate without me bringing him in. Very very happy with all the staff and his care.

This has been our regular vet for over 10 years. The service is amazing and the staff all really care about my dog. I cannot recommend AK Veterinary Clinic enough. They have always managed to fit us in when my dog needs urgent care and keep in contact with updates. I will stick with them for all my future pets.

I love this place and highly recommend them to all of my friends. The staff are all amazing! They always seem to make it happen when me and my fur babies are in need. I love that my dog likes to go there. She is never afraid to go for a visit. And I LOVE that the vets will actually sit on the floor to live on my dog while they do their examination. The techs are great too! I can’t say enough good stuff about these people and this business.

I cannot recommend this place enough! We have brought our dogs here since our first one, and will continue to bring our kids here. The staff is friendly, the doctors are knowledgeable and caring, and the prices are reasonable. Great clinic!

We have been using this Vet. Clinic for nine years. We started with the same clinic in Kodiak Ak and transferred to this one in Anchorage. The Doctors and all of those who work there are fantastic. They have helped me with my dogs tremendously. When one of my dogs passed away their support and empathy helped me through the sorrow. Everyone that works there is awesome. I would list all their names but they know who I’m talking about.. The clinic is always clean. But most of all they love and care about my dogs. They care about ALL Animals. Once again, I thank all of the Doctors and everyone who works there. It is not easy for them to do everything that they do. They too feel sorrow for the sick and dying animals they treat. This vet. First vet appointment with the team; I arrived 15 minutes early and called from the parking lot to check in per their COVID protocols and… discovered I was at the wrong location! Team was helpful and squeezed me into their morning schedule once I arrived at the correct address 8 minutes late. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff; highly recommend!

I took my parakeet to Alaska Veterinary Clinic after she fell in some oil. Poor thing. Dr. Ferguson was able to take a look at her right away and put us at ease that she will be okay. A few days later, she wasn't doing great and I called them again. Dr. Ferguson again, helped us as much as he could even though we couldn't see him for an exam. The front desk was also so amazing and helpful, their communication was great and made me feel like my bird and I were being taken care of, even though I called and emailed them probably way too much. Thank you Dr. Ferguson and staff!

Needing an exotic veterinarian for my snake I called multiple Vet offices who was either booked out for a month so or leaving messages without a reply. I called Alaska Veterinary Clinic who answered the phone and made a same day appointment! They got me right in for my appointment, the veterinarian was very knowledgeable, gave great advise and asked for a follow up phone call in a couple of weeks. I definitely recommend this clinic!

Alaska Vet Clinic is the best decision for my pets I’ve ever made. The staff is highly professional and friendly. All of visits have been great - my dogs know the building and are more than happy to jump out and meet the vet technicians! The paw plans are by far my favorite service provided. I highly recommend taking advantage of the plans because there is a plan for any pet. I have three dogs ranging fairly different in age - but the paw plans cover them and provides the care and attention they need or may come across. Again, highly recommend Alaska Vet Clinic!!

They were kind enough to contact me the following morning with some tips on traveling long distance like that with him in a carrier. They have well executed and organized COVID protocols I was very impressed! They have numbered spaces, once you park you call to tell them you're there and in which space. The vet tech calls back to go over what's brought you in on the phone. Then you meet the vet tech outside and give them your pet. You wait in your car while your pet is inside. When the doctor has examined your pet, they call you to discuss any necessary treatments. Then the receptionist calls to settle payment and make any additional appointments. Lastly, the vet tech returns your pet to you outside.

Brought my dog in since she was 8 weeks old to now 2 years old, the Alaska Veterinary Clinic has gone above and beyond for me and my dog. From answering phone calls in a timely manner, to having options for treating us when appointments just aren't available when needed, offering PAW plan, being very sanitized and clean outside and inside the clinic, and helping keeping customers safe during these trying times while they stay safe as well during this pandemic. We take all four of our dogs to Ak veterinary clinic. One of our dogs, (Rexi) has severe congestive heart failure. We were told that we may have only a few weeks left with her. Thanks to all the wonderful vets, techs, and staff, we are going on 1 1/2 years with our little girl. They take the absolute best care of all of our fur kids! This is the only place I will take my animals. The staff is really nice and they always remember my pets. They have a plan for young puppies that includes all their shots and a check up plus some other perks. Very worth it. They follow up with me about shots coming due, and give me reminders before and appointment. My dog is my best friend and I trust this clinic with her. 5-stars hands down

I've had pets all my life... and I've used Alaska Veterinary Clinic ever since I knew of them. My beloved cat was treated here, and died here (when her time came)... My other dogs are currently seen by them on a regular basis. They are welcoming, courteous, and making appointments are easy. When my cat (aged 19+) died there, the staff were compassionate. A very difficult time for me eased by their professionalism. I absolutely recommend them and their services.

I love Alaska veterinary clinic and have taken all my pets there for over 25 years. Before that my dad took all his dogs there as well. While many of the vets I started with have retired, I have always found the staff and new vets to be thorough, professional and caring about my pets well being.

I wish I could give this place a better review. I have been a patron of this vet since 1994 and in the last few years have had enough experiences that I am now looking for a new vet. Prices have been hiked exponentially and the staff really pushes hard their internal pet insurance, taking every diagnosis and putting it in to terms of how it would benefit you financially to get on their insurance plan. It is assumed because we go there we will purchase all services from them. I was able to get my dog's vaccinations for a quarter of the cost and their lowest possible cost to spay my dog is almost 10 times what another vet quoted. My old veterinarian there, Dr. Froeshlee, was very good about talking to you about health benefits versus costs. I have seen 4 other vets at this location and none have discussed this with me. It is very much so a how much do you love your dog feel to it. I wish I could give a better review.

Me and my fiancé just took our kitten Edgar here for the first time and everyone there was beyond wonderful! Checked our kitten for everything, he ended up having ear mites which they took care of by giving him the proper ear drops/medicine. They clipped his nails without me asking, gave our kitten tons of attention and love, and they didn't rush what so ever. They took their time to explain and go through everything, and offered us a great deal on a month to month payment plan. They definitely care about animals, and the energy they have is amazing! My dogs like it here. It's affordable as well, which is really important since one of my dogs needs regular care. Most of the patrons and staff were friendly. There is one front office worker who doesn't understand what no means when it comes to giving your dog treats. I don't have any complaints otherwise.

Alaska Veterinary Clinic has done a great job of responding to the social distancing requirements during the Covid 19 pandemic. For my dogs appointment the assistant called me on my cell phone and did a brief intake then came out to my car and brought my pup in for her appointment. After a few minutes the doctor called to discuss my dogs appointment. This all took about a half hour. Great job! I highly recommend Alaska Veterinary Clinic!

Unfortunately, I've had to visit the ER twice this month but the doctors and vet techs took such great care of my mini doxie. They took the time to answer my millions of questions and I didn't feel rushed at all. Wait time for both visits took 2 hours, so bring a book and be prepared to wait, but that doesnt take away from the care the staff provided to my pet.

I am thrilled with this clinic...the staff is warm, caring, proficient, professional, welcoming and kind. Dr. Stebbins was warm, helpful, thorough in her care and explanations. The clinic provides a payment plan whereby I can establish continued care for my pet. And they are thorough in estimating costs of surgeries/care so that I can plan in advance for payment. This is the first vet clinic that my cat & I have gone to since we moved from out of state & I am very very pleased. They were able to get me in for an appointment within one day. Every single person working there was sooooo friendly & non judgmental - even when my cat was meowing/screaming his head off in the waiting room the entire time. I can’t remember the vet tech’s name but she was AMAZING, so kind to my little guy. Michael was the vet and was very knowledgeable when it came to the recommended services for my pet. You can tell everyone here actually has passion and care for your animal. They also have a military discount! I would however like to know if they offer pet insurance or payment plans as I will be scheduling my cat for a dental cleaning, it would have been nice to be informed of all the services and packages they offer.

I was told to drop my dog off early between 7-730am because he had to have 2 blood tests done. I just called for a check up (3:10pm) and they just finished his first test. Why the F is my little buddy stuck in a cage all day and you're just now getting to the blood tests. I could have brought him in at 2:30 if it was going to be that slow. I am looking into other vet clinics to bring him to as this was the second time this has happened.

traveling with our dog, few people know that a health certificate is required for pets to enter from Alaska back into the lower 48 when going through Canada. Alaska veterinary Clinic reissueda health certificate so that we could continue or extended stay without border crossing worries. the staff and the doctors were excellent. I will certainly use them again on my next trip to the great North when traveling with my pup

We have taken our Ella here since we bought her. After we did all of her shots on the puppy plan we never had any issues so we didn't need to come back for quit some time. Recently, we came home and found one of our baby's toys broken and chewed up. Ella seemed fine, but days later she started throwing up and looking very ill. We took her back to AVC and found out her stomach was very upset with small shards and a couple of large parts of plastic. They were so great at seeing her quickly and giving us all the options. We decided to put her on a high fiber diet and wait to see if the parts passed. About a week later AVC called to check on Ella. She was doing much better, but we were still concerned that she wasn't 100%. I will not disclose all the details but AVC went out of their way to make sure Ella was better. It was the best Christmas present to know our Ella was healthy and in good hands. I highly recommend this place! They truly care about their fury patients <3

Cause of my visit was due to an emergency reason. That same morning I was able to bring my vet in. Communication was excellent and the Vet was very thorough with explaining the diagnosis and providing a corrective plan to recovery for my pet.

I’ve only been here one time but the staff here is very friendly and caring. My Stella unfortunately had to be put down but even until all that was done, the staff sent us a card and they all knew Stella and that she was sweet. They didn’t have to do that but they did and that was very nice of them. Oh and they offer military discount here as well!

My dog is ummm..."difficult" to say the least as she is not a fan of strangers, especially the vet due to a bout of parvo when she was a baby. Though she has to be given the sleepy time meds for her care, Dr. John does a great job of keeping her as calm as possible during examination. He did a wonderful job removing a foreign object from her arm and it healed properly with minimal scarring. We received excellent care at an very fair price. We just moved here and this will be our go to vet for all of our doggy needs.

I hate veterinarians with a passion. I really do. I think the whole industry is a scam and that 99% of what they do is a total placebo affect-based ideal. However, despite that I really truly love this place. Even the girls at the desk are helpful and their doctors (can't believe I said that) are so freaking nice and make you feel at ease. I've brought my dog their ever since I moved to Anchorage and no matter how hard I try (and trust me, I try) I can't find a negative thing to say. Thanks guys for your help and putting up with people like me. It's a great thing you do.

They take great care of all 3 of my pups! They know each one and remember our names! Dr. Lindquist is our vet but on short notices we’ve seen other fantastic vets there too! I will continuously recommend Dr. Kellie Lindquist for all your pets needs!

You will not find a better clinic and a better vet than Dr. Stebbins. Dr. Stebbins is compassionate and you truly feel like she cares about your pets as if they were her own. Had a "panic in the streets" attack when my male boxer, Giddeon came inside the house draining blood. They said come right in. Thankfully it was not anywhere near as bad as I feared it could be. They cleaned and bandaged his foot and his is soaking up all the attention his owie is getting him. The employees are calm, cool and collected...which helps when you are not. It is nice they remember names of both the critter and I as at times like that I may not!!! They also solved my problem of where to take my exotics after examing the other "exotic" VETs in town and still not finding one I would trust MY critters with I find that Alska Veterinary clinic has a Doctor that does exotics and they introduced us. She seems quite knowledgeable and competent. Eager to help and east to talk to and understand. Turned out to be a great day.
