Reviews of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital & Emergency Center
laurie shulman
Our dog was injured while being groomed and was in severe respiratory distress. We called on our way to the hospital giving our information and we’re basically met at the door. From the moment we walked in our dog was given the absolute best care he could have gotten and we were given updates at each and every step of care. The staff was compassionate, informative and extremely professional. While I hope no one ever has to go through a medical emergency with their pet I would recommend putting your trust in the staff here as they are absolutely outstanding!

I brought my young cat in after a bite wound from a neighbor's cat became infected. After having the wound drained and cleaned and antibiotics administered, the wound refused to heal, and over many weeks and multiple visits, the amazing vets at Columbia Pike worked tirelessly to find and solve the root issue, communicating all treatment options, costs, and home care. I even took my cat to my hometown vet for a second opinion, and they confirmed that everything the columbia pike vets recommended/attempted was best practice and fair pricing. Although it was a long, stressful, and unavoidably expensive process, Columbia Pike was able to solve the root of the issue and saved my cat's life while being communicative, flexible, and attentive.

I cannot say enough about my experience at this animal hospital. I walked in carrying my very senior dog, Sugar, in my arms as she was having trouble breathing and I was panicking. This amazing man came right up to me and scooped her out of my arms, took her to the back, and called for a vet asap. I was crying so much I could barely talk and the people at the front were so kind while gathering my information. I did end up having to put my Sugar down and it was incredibly sad and heartbreaking, but I had to leave a review and speak to how kind and compassionate the people at the desk, the vet techs, and the vet were. I will always remember their kindness and empathy and how well they treated me and my pup at the end of her life.

Last night our dog Haze died suddenly. One minute we were home, and she was fine. The next, we were fighting to keep her eyes open on the way to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. Without any hesitation, the staff immediately took our girl into their care once we arrived. Unfortunately, our baby girl was DOA.. but what matters is how caring the staff was. They gave us a quiet room, and gave us the time we needed to part with our girl. Thank you to the staff on the clock between 11:30pm-3am. You were all so wonderful. We have never been to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, but they were the closest vet to us open at that time frame. I will be bringing my other dogs here in the future. Thank you, again, and again.

I took my cat to the emergency center around 5PM on a Monday after he vomited a tamper-resistant aluminum band. We were seen almost immediately (< 20 minute wait) despite not having an appointment or calling ahead. I imagine that is somewhat unusual. I was prepared for a several hour wait as he wasn't in any immediate distress. Thankfully it seemed to be a slow night.
I was quoted a higher price than I actually paid (when does that ever happen) which was a nice surprise. Overall I paid $405 for the visit and an x-ray which is reasonable, especially given the care I received. They were treating me as much as my cat! Haha.
All of the staff from the front desk to the vet were professional, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I was given updates on my cat every 10-15 minutes. I was informed of multiple options to take (i.e. induce vomiting or do an x-ray, the pros/cons of each, as well as the cost of each). Check in and check out were a breeze, even for a first-time patient like my cat and I.
I would have preferred to be able to go back with my cat to help keep him calm, but I understand that having every owner in the back would create chaos and cramp the space. Just be prepared to wait in the waiting room and not with your pet.
My only complaint is that they probably need a bigger space. All of the rooms were full of other patients so my conversations with the vet were in the waiting room which offered no privacy. Thankfully my cat was perfectly fine, so I was ok having those conversations in front of others.
Picture of the culprit attached. He has ZERO remorse. Haha.

I cannot say enough things about how kind, compassionate and wonderful this place is. I arrived on Saturday night extremely upset with my sick cat who had not been eating or drinking and was vomiting. The receptionist that answered my call immediately provided me the right direction, which was to bring her in, but also let me know that she would give us a private room, if she could to make my very anxious cat more comfortable while waiting. The doctors were all incredibly kind, and made a very scary overnight visit manageable. They make you feel like you are important to them, and that your pet is too. I've been to several other emergency hospitals in the area, and have never received more individualized care and attention. They are great communicators, and call when they say they will. They also were incredibly gracious despite my cat being a challenging patient--they made me feel as if they saw, understood and loved her. I'm so grateful for their care and kindness.

We've come here for urgent care on two separate occasions for our senior cat, and both times we had amazing service and support from all the staff. We had to hospitalize our cat, and each vet and tech who saw him provided comprehensive updates and treatment option discussions. The techs in particular were very helpful with responding to questions and ensuring we were comfortable with the at-home treatment required. Like any emergency care, it's not cheap, but I highly recommend this clinic due to the quality of care, kindness, and the responsiveness of each vet and tech we've encountered.

I very much recommend this veterinary clinic. We have been taking our pets here for years, for both annual visits and emergencies. We have only two cats now but had a dog as well earlier. We never had issues with them mixing up records or not finding them. All animals are/were in both my name and my spouses.
All their staff show love for the pets, care and understanding for us humans, especially when we are dealing with an ill, injured or dying pet.
I am especially grateful for their care and compassion when my beloved dog passed after an accident during the beginning of the Covid epidemic. I also dog sit and had to take a neighbor’s geriatric, epileptic dog in for an emergency and they saw her quickly, treated her, contacted her family and kept me updated. This was a dog that they had no records for but still served with absolute professionalism.
Once again, I highly recommend this place.

Due to the nationwide shortage of cat insulin, I needed an emergency refill and they were the only place open that had some. Warned me about the 6 hour wait which I was prepared for. My cat cannot go without insulin so I knew it would be a wait, especially since he was not emergency and it was a Saturday. Got there, the staff was very polite. I waited with my kitty and they pulled me back to a side room about 30 min into the wait and got my kitty what he needed, calling him handsome and sweet. They were very nice and understanding and even charged me a normal visit rate instead of an ER rate. I was actually in and out pretty quickly. Being kind and patient to staff pays off.

Thank you Dr Beckford, Kelsey, Angie, and Jose at Columbia Pike for giving me an opportunity to have more time with my cat. I was so certain that it was going to be my last day with him Sunday, and you all were so compassionate and understanding. Just keeping it simple and sweet, but it was definitely a reminder of how wonderful you guys all are. My cat can pee because of Dr Beckford!!!!!!

My dog didn't eat or poop for 3 day, he got really weak and I took him to this vet. Doctor. Leonard went above and beyond to help my pet in a very stressful situation. She replied to my questions and concerns immediately even during her time off and gave us an alternative treatment for my pet. With her help, I wad able to treat my dog without bringing him back to the vet and this not only help him because he is extremely afraid of a vet but also helped me financially. I would 100% recommended this place. All the staffs were supper nice and helpful.
Susan Elwell
Wonderful staff, great emergency care! I needed a vet on a Sunday and this was the one practice who responded positively. They warned me about a potential lengthy wait (I appreciated that too) but things moved along and my cat and I were seen pretty quickly. Highly recommend this practice!

Word to the wise: CALL AHEAD to any animal ER facility. We were told they were close to capacity but to come in ASAP.
Everyone at Columbia Pike was absolutely amazing with our dog Kingsley. He had gotten onto the counter and ate a bunch of grapes which are toxic to dogs. Luckily, we realized it within a couple of hours and rushed him over here.
Care and Concern: At every step we were treated with empathy and care for the wellbeing of our dog and how it caused us to stress. Kingsley is a big softy so they also gave him some anti-anxiety medication to help him calm down since he had to be there for several days.
Communication: TOP NOTCH, from the treatment plan to the expected costs, to updates on how he was doing and his test results when they came in multiple times a day for several days. I could not have asked for more.
Billing: We received an estimate, and the total cost was very near to what they predicted. Pets can be expensive, not much can be done about that.
Facilities: The facility is nice enough, front desk staff are super helpful.

My dog had a seizure and I brought him to this location. I was immediately greeted, and my dog was taken back to be examined. My dog never had health issues before, so I was an emotional wreck. The staff here were fantastic at calming my nerves and took great care of my dog, who ended up being there for 24 hours. They called me often to give updates on his condition and even called after I picked him up to check on him.
Ken Denham
Great experience for emergency vet service. It was a long wait, but was told that on the phone going in, so you can't get upset that they are busy (called 5 other locations that were all at capacity). Also, staff triages pet when they arrive in case cannot wait for care. Vets come out and explain in great detail what they recommend and why they recommend certain tests, medications, etc., but also give options. Highly recommend them to anyone.

This place deserves five stars alone for being the only emergency vet to agree to see our dog even though they are at capacity. A million thank you a to the staff for helping us after four other hospitals turned away our 14 year old dog who was struggling to breathe and could not stand. This hospital’s compassion during a time of extreme stress and anxiety deserves all my praise and gratitude.
Patrick Moreland
Unfortunately I took my dog there who had passed away from a heart attack. The staff was there right away to take her and tend to her and give me my own room with time to accept the loss. Within ten minutes of showing up and giving them my dog I was given the bad but expected news and I received my dog back to spend some time with her one last time. I was able to arrange the cremation with them and was given back her ashes within a week of her passing. This hospital was great and while it’s unfortunate my dog passed from old age it was the best place I could have taken her for her final resting place.

A+ care. One of my dogs has some health issues and I never have to worry about his care when we go here. Is there a wait? Probably slightly longer than most other vets bc this is a 24/7 emergency vet. So the most urgent cases come here. Went here when one of my dogs was attacked at a dog park and he received excellent care. Now I go here for routine appointments and teeth cleanings. The vet staff is very kind, not pushy with any tests, provide their recommendations tastefully and appropriately. Just know that they triage like an emergency room triages. If you are coming for emergency or urgent care, they take the sickest animals first. So if it’s not too major or time sensitive you might be waiting for a while.

Yesterday I went for an emergency visit with my cat. My first time going here. The vet I met with identified what's wrong with my cat (significant arthritis causing lethargy/complete inactivity) and explained the options for managing it. The vet listed treatment strategies with the price for each, but did not pressure me into spending tons of money on things that could likely turn out to be completely unnecessary. I went with the most basic option (medication injected into affected area) and my cat is like a whole new animal now- happy and running around. They do a lot of business but appear to efficiently get patients in and out. A well managed practice.
Tony Damiani
The most professional, trustworthy, and compassionate vets I have ever encountered. They had to deliver bad news, but did so in such a remarkable way I had to post a review (which I never do). They are the BEST and I have a lifetime of experience dealing with vets. Don’t make a mistake with your fur baby. Use these folks.

Yesterday my 15 year old Peekapoo was diagnosed with kidney failure and I was told I may have one more night with her before having to put her down the next day. I took her home and less than a few hours later she was having tremors. I decided then it was best to put her down and was in route to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. I called and a gentleman by the name of Ziad picked up the phone, listened to me calmly and said when I arrive, I would be taken care of given the emergency situation. Sure enough when we made it to the hospital, my dog’s tremors turned into seizures and Ziad helped us to a room quickly and had the technicians assist us through our situation. It wasn’t a very good night for us, but I did want to leave this review to thank Ziad and the technicians for being empathetic to our situation and guiding us through. Additionally, a huge thank you to Dr. Hall (Senior) for always making time to schedule my dog in for emergency visits. His assistant Jezelle I want to applaud and thank as well for her attentiveness and assistance. I’ve been a customer of both Town and Country and Columbia Pike for quite some time having many pets and sincerely appreciate all the staff and the services rendered for my dogs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We had the misfortune to put down a relative's 18y old dog. We came in late and there was no wait and, thankfully, it was a very quick process from start to finish. On our way out there was a young family with a child in a car with a dead battery. Initially, when we tried helping, our efforts were in vain. We stopped by a nearby gas station and managed to borrow a passerby's jumper cables and went back to help. The gentlemen who ran the front desk of the animal hospital was so helpful and helped us open our hood and get this family's car started so they and their baby could get out of this cold! It was successful and I couldn't be more appreciative of the helpful staff of this hospital. Thank you for the excellent service and genuine kindness throughout everything we've been through tonight!!!

Family has gone to this clinic for all their dogs. Had to bring my beloved dog for an emergency where we had to make an unfortunately heavy decision. Regardless of that, we were very happy and thankful that Dr. Wong was the emergency doctor at the time. She did what she had to do and explained things for us to understand the limited options available.

My dog is 14 and they have been taking care of him since a 3 months old puppy. We almost lost him as a puppy but thanks to the quick response of the hospital team he recovered and now he is happy 14 year dog.
Chloe Ipatzi
Absolutely amazing experience with the emergency vet! My dog was hit by a car and my neighbor who witnessed the accident with me recommended this emergency vet. Dr Beckford and the team were so kind and professional the entire time. They were also extremely patient and supportive with all my concerns
Hannah Gilleland
They took us when they were almost at capacity and in the middle of the night. The staff also kept us updated and informed while our baby was being hospitalized. I would recommend them over some of the other hospitals in the area that rudely told us to go somewhere else.

Incredibly fast check-in & immediate medical resolution of our puppy's Emergency due to swallowing a Latex balloon piece. On Saturday (2/28/23), the Receptionist for our own nearby vet refused to even interrupt any of their vets to ask about our problem because they were "at capacity."
Kara Danner
We really appreciate Dr. Novarr for the exceptional care he provides our two elderly dogs. Dr. Novarr is an excellent diagnostician. One of our beautiful girls has not one but two complex endocrine disorders. It was a challenge to sort out and missed by our former veterinary practice. Plus, our dogs love him and they are the best judge of character.
Jonny Anderson
They took excellent care of my dog. He was hospitalized for two days and he came back home happy with a clean bill of health. Still cheaper than kids.
Nicole Gauvin
Thank you Dr. Oleg Khomutets and the staff at the front desk for working on Christmas Day and taking such good care of our cat Link. We appreciate your service.

Exceptional care on our elder dog Molly's last day. We were distraught, and their staff was kind, caring, helpful, and understanding .

I'm really appreciative to Crissy who suggested that I not wait for an appointment and to come through Urgent Care. I was expecting to wait at least 30 minutes, but once I checked in, a staff member took us to a room. Thanks so very much!!
I really like Dr. Nishi. He appeared to be thorough and followed up with me on the next day to see how Unique was doing.
If all goes well, I may have a new animal hospital!!

I was able to get an appointment next day when I called for my new puppy. Decent amount of parking. Waiting room is open with benches. Check in was fairly easy. Nurse assistants come out and talk to you to get the history and then take your dog back to the exam room. My dog was fairly scared so he carried her. The exam didn't take long. Dr. Barnett came out and spoke with me and she was so nice and friendly. She was thorough and was really easy to talk to. Pharmacy is right there as well so it's very convenient.
I didn't have pretty insurance and the exam and one dose of each the 1 month and 6 month heartworm preventative was around $100.
I definitely recommend!

My dog was vomiting and experiencing bloody diarrhea when I brought her in to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. While the cost was no easy pill to swallow, she was seen promptly (quoted a 2-4 hour wait over the phone) and a diagnosis was made with a plan of care in a timely manner. Her doctor’s were compassionate and thorough. Appreciate their care and recommendations for my dog. Would recommend this location for animal emergency and prevention. Hopefully we won’t need to return anytime soon 🤞
Kristina Luna
I walked it with no appointment, my dog was very nauseous. I called ahead and was told the wait is 2-3 hours. I went in anyways and ended up waiting no longer than 10 minutes. My dog was taken care of immediately, staff was very friendly and attentive. Quick and easy, after they treated him he started getting better the same day. Definitely pricey but expected for an urgent care. Thanks!

Dr. Kirchart,
I just wanted to update you and share the good news!
Kipp is back to his feisty spunky self. I am strictly staying on the schedule you gave me with the medications and I am continuing to monitor him as he takes it easy.
Thank you for all you do! Such a blessing!
Susannah Katz
I brought my puppy in after she kept having diarrhea that bland food wasn't resolving. I was quoted a 1-2 hour wait time, however barely 20 minutes after arrived (without an appointment), a tech came to speak with me. He took her back, took vitals, and 10 minutes later the vet came to discuss the plan of care. Dr Chang was extremely thorough and did not make me feel rushed at all. Most vets just offer bland food or maybe an anti-diarrheal for cases like these. She treated my puppy with sub-Q fluids to prevent dehydration, and prescribed both an antibiotic and probiotic. All in all, I was able to take my puppy home an hour after we arrived -- much better than the 2 hours I expected to wait just to be seen! The staff were also incredibly understanding when she had diarrhea on the waiting room floor, and immediately cleaned it up while reassuring me it was no big deal, despite my repeated apologies. If my puppy has another emergency we will definitely return to Columbia Pike!

We are first time pet Owners and are pet was having some serious medical issues. When we called we had a wonderful receptionist who helped gather information that way when we arrive we were able to check her in as soon as possible.
The doctor that was helping us was Dr Wong and she was such a great person and incredible doctor who took time to make sure our dog was ok but also had the well being of our mental health in mind in all of her decisions. She was so amazing and took this case personally and because of Dr. Wong and her team are Brandy is safe and has recovered!!
Melissa C
Thank you Dr. Patz and the rest of the emergency staff this morning (I'm so sorry I didn't get everyone's names) for your kind and compassionate care in our emergency situation. Everyone from reception to tech to doctor was so kind and helpful during this incredibly difficult time, and we will always remember the difference that made for us. Thanks again for all that you do.

I have never had such an enjoyable trip to the vet! Dutchess needed to go in this past Saturday for a few issues. Columbia Pike has been our vet ever since I adopted her and had been my families vet for 40 years.
We love Dr Hall. However this past appointment could have been a scary one and Dutch is always nervous. The tech was named Rebecca and she was the kindest, most gentle soul and even though, everyone here is always really nice, Rebecca just had a way and Dutch was immediately calmed. Then we met Dr Waite and I had heard of her from the local Pet Store Manager but she exceeded expectations! I always recommend Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, but this last trip has me highly recommending Dr Waite as well. She will be our Dr going forward:)
Christine Carlsen
We think the Columbia Pike location is better run on the management side. All the techs have been wonderful and take care of you right away. Dr. Heather Kirchart is so amazing, kind and friendly and always gives us reasonable advice and care. She has a very positive and happy personality. We hate to have to bring our pets to the Vet, but love the fact that we can see Dr. Kirchart. She is very good about calling and checking on our pets after we have been to the office. We are extremely happy with the Columbia Pike location!
John Schatz
Had a pup emergency, they fit us into their schedule, we saw a great vet Dr. Wong. The whole staff was working hard and very nice.
Ted Pippin
Best experience that I have had from beginning of requesting the visit until the checkout. Fined tuned processes and the best quality of vet care at reasonable prices.
Chris Dillon
Aside from a few communication issues over the phone, Columbia pike animal hospital was wonderful; very quick and professional experience. We had an emergency with our cat that couldn’t wait, but they were able to take her and begin treatment 15 minutes after we arrived.
Our cat needed to stay there for a few days to be watched, and we received multiple calls a day updating us on her progress. They gave us peace of mind.
Tree Pulido
I'm editing my original review. I was exhausted and upset and we were adopting a special needs pet that has far more problems than we were led to believe.
The positive: Dr. Kalicharan was great - very positive and upbeat and explained everything completely to us. She was a ray of sunshine! The vast majority of the staff was warm and kind, and the woman who checked me in was just fantastic.
The negative: We were there for over six hours. Being an emergency hospital, I understand a long wait is likely. We left to have dinner and received a call our pet was ready to go, and my husband returned and was made to wait for yet another hour and a half.
(They did have an emergency come in after he had been there for an hour, so any time after that is understandable.)
It would have been a thousand times more bearable if we were told the wait may be several hours and that we could return later. The doctor or assistant would come out, say a bit to us and leave, giving us the impression we would be leaving soon and then nothing for another hour.
I have previously had absolutely stellar experiences at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and believe yesterday was an exception. But it really was awful.
James Tanney-Palmeter
The calmness, patience, friendliness, reassurance, and explanations of what was going on with my dog were fantastic. The techs, assistants, and front desk staff were all amazing. Dr. Beckford was outstanding. Listening to the history, Explaining to me what was likely going on, explaining why life threatening things were unlikely, what she would recommend, what the options would be, letting me make a choice from that, and advising what to watch for going forward. She really was amazing. Also, correct! My dog is doing great.
Barbara Schriefer
My cats have been treated by Dr. Flynn and Dr. Tango for many years. We have relied on their expertise for routine exams/shots, behavioral issues and serious medical problems. Although the practice is clearly very busy, once either Veterinarian enters the exam room, it's as though she has only one patient. Their intelligence, kindness and expertise are evident, and they always provide several options, along with probable outcomes and costs. CPAH is a great facility, and I have recommended Drs. Flynn and Tango to several neighbors and friends. These vets will treat your pet, and you, with respect and compassion.
Kelly Inviere
Love this animal hospital so much! The entire team work so hard to make sure that our cats feel safe and secure in an unfamiliar environment and that my wife and I feel heard and empathized with about our concerns. They are always willing to work with us to come up with a care plan to get our fur-babies feeling better asap and are so compassionate, caring and friendly. Couldn't ask for more for our sweet furry friends!
John Snell
Had an emergency visit for our boxer pup because she swallowed some things she should not have. The entire team - from check-in, to vet tech, to the vet and final check out were awesome! Took great care of our dog, kept me well informed about diagnosis and recommendations. Everyone was kind and professional! I saw the same thing in the way they treated everyone else who was there also. Thank you for taking great care of our dog!
Jessica Fredericksen
We've been taking our pets to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for the last 15 years. The team is always gentle and responsible with our furry friends. They do an excellent job of routine visits, and respond immediately and compassionately to emergency situations. They are detailed and always take time to hear everything we have to share with them. You can tell everyone there, including the vet techs, deeply care about animals. Most of the time, the vet techs will take our small dogs in their arms and hold them close to bring them back rather than making them walk. They are so comforting and gentle with the animals, and truly provide excellent care.
Jess Valentine
Came to Columbia pike animal hospital on a whim after our regular vet wasn’t able to perform X-rays or give any insight into what was going on with my sick pup and I was needless to say, a complete stress ball. Jonah Williams made a stressful experience 1000 times better with his calm attitude and thorough explanations about my pup, koda, his options and plan of care. His knowledge and understanding was top notch and really put my mind at ease. They were able to X-ray my dog within 5 mins with absolutely no issues and quickly provided me with answers and a solution. I really can’t say enough good things about my experience here and what a wonderful human being Jonah was with his genuine care and patience.
Yohan Yazdi
I had a great experience in this hospital and especially with the vet, Jonah Williams. He took care of my dog Oakley like it was his own dog. He was very patient in explaining the procedure and recovery process. Hands down the best vet I’ve ever met!
Lydia Ray
Remember they are a business. That is along the lines of what Megan, the manager at Colombia Pike Animal Hospital said to me as she showed me the small mention of when I needed to reschedule the next shot on my last receipt.
My kitty came for a booster ,but since I was not told by the representative on the phone when I scheduled the booster that my cat needed to be seen sooner, nor did I receive any text alerts or email that are always sent out;I am now paying extra. What was supposed to be around $40 ( the booster I thought I was taking my cat for) is now costing me about $100 as my cat has to go through the process again.
For my cats health,I'm all for safe measures and let's be safe, but at least a discount for accountability especially due to the vulnerable situation I mentioned was going on.
Her solution was to have the system with my phone number be updated and tell me there are other alternatives. The alternative being scratch pay which I didn't even catch what she said as we moved to a new room because I was emotional about the price change and all together lack of communication on many ends.
Also ,I have been coming here for decades with my past cool cats and current ones, my phone is in the system especially as I do come here on an ongoing basis with my other cat.
I had spoke to two others and the one more person after her and the communication between them and about the situation seemed to be non-existent.
They waved the physicians fee which I was told wouldn't be part of it,thanks.

Arrived with no appointment on a Tuesday afternoon and was seen within 10 minutes with a non-critical injury. We saw Dr. Williams and he was absolutely fantastic and our dog has never been so comfortable around a veterinarian! The entire staff was wonderful and I’m glad we took the chance at this practice when no other surrounding practices had openings for us the same day. 10/10!!!

Expert pet vet care to go along with a very friendly neighborly/family feel to their practice. Vets are great as are the entire support staff.

Highly recommend. The medical and support staff are responsive, professional, experienced, compassionate, and communicative. I have taken my dog there for both emergency and non-emergency visits. Please not that if you are there for an emergency visit they triage all animals that come in (which is wonderful) but that also means you may have to be there for multiple hours to have everything taken care of, so just be patient and prepared, i.e. bring your phone charger and a book etc. Also, while animal medical care is never 'cheap' I believe they have very fair and reasonable prices. Big thanks to the staff and Dr. Jeff Jones for taking care of my Dinah yesterday!

I dont write many reviews but amazing experience here. weird to say because I needed to put my wonderful cat to sleep. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful as i grieved in front of my kids. Everyone was awesome! Thank your for making an awful experience as good as it could be

Incredible hospital. Kelsey is a fantastic vet tech with wonderful bedside manner. I'm so grateful I found them after I moved to Virginia. Bring your fur babies here, you won't regret it!

My puppy got sick at 430am and everyone I dealt with when I brought her in was incredibly caring and understanding. The doctor that examined my puppy called once they had taken a look at her, she gave me a diagnosis, potential next steps, and a cost estimate, which she allowed me to talk through with her. All said and done, my pup has been feeling much better since we got back this morning, and I couldn't be more grateful for them being able to help her in an emergency

They were able to see and treat our dog's injury quickly. Given that we walked in, she was bleeding, but it wasn't a life threatening injury- they were quick and efficient. I appreciate all the updates they gave us as well. The front desk was responsive with communication and updates.

I came with my cat to the emergency clinic and even though we are not regular patients, the front desk staff was very nice and the tech and the Dr Barnett really took time and listened. They made what was a very stressful time much easier. Even on a busy Saturday the wait time was not bad and I never felt like my cat was lost in the system. We have to go back for a follow up ultrasound but I feel like the dr explained everything very well and was not rushing us through.

We have only had great experiences! The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and welcoming, and we can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kirchart. We recommend Columbia Pike to all of our friends with pets.

Dr. Nguyen and the entire staff have been amazing. I couldn't dream up more knowledgeable and caring people.

We all know how how difficult it is to get into our regular vets these days. So, when my dog chewed up and ingested a safety razor, they were the only ones that could get me in. I called four different emergency vets near me before having to look for ones an hour away from me. The woman over the phone was calm and kind, checked me in over the phone. He wasn't in dire need of attention, but they got to me within 10 minutes and took him back for an xray. Dr. Nishi, who was awesome, explained the xrays to me and gave me a treatment plan at home to follow and answered all of my questions. I really appreciated them being there for me and Benny! Every person I interacted with was kind and helpful. Thank you so much, everyone!

I’ve had to take my cat here three times in the last few weeks, the first an emergency visit and two follow ups. I highly recommend this hospital and will be coming here for my future needs. Everyone has been welcoming, professional, compassionate, and the vets patiently answered all of my numerous questions and took their time to make sure I understood all of the possible causes and treatment options. A+ customer service. They are very reasonably priced ($125 for an emergency walk in, plus medications) and comped some items for which I was truly grateful. It’s priceless to be able to take your pet in during a true emergency and be seen immediately. (I was turned away by my regular vet of 6 years during an emergency, and I won’t be going back there). To that end, be forewarned they are an emergency hospital and are triaging emergency visits, which means the total emergency/walk-in visit or intake wait can be long. Each walk-in visit for me was 3-6 hours from arrival to taking him home. I completely understand and when your pet is in critical condition, you will appreciate going to the front of the line. Can’t recommend enough!

40 yrs. Been going here and trusted them with 13 dogs and 3 kitties with great care all their lives. Surgeries, you name it. Dr Davis Hall is best of the best. Today our new rescued dog Stella who is afraid of the car went in for care. All was well with her appt and staff was so good with her. Then after we left she broke loose from her leash. And took off running towards rt 50. I ran to block her and my husband tried to get her when the tech saw us and in seconds 5 staff members were surrounding her as well as a lady who drove in and saw the situation. 30 min later and we got her safe and sound. Nightmare ended well thanks to a quick thinking staff and help. Stella is 98 lbs of tired dog now and we are going to get her in better escape proof gear. Whew. Every dog is a learning experience with all their habits and past history which we discover as we enjoy them. Having a vet you trust makes this much easier. Thank y'all!!!

I called 8 different vets when my dog's ear was scratched and wouldn't stop bleeding. This was the only place that agreed to take us! We walked in and they immediately jumped to help. Dr. Wong was AMAZING, so kind, professional and generous with her time. Highly recommend!

Thank you Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center! My dog got into some human candy after a door was left open and became very sick. They took her immediately and only did the necessary diagnostics (did not try to sell me on extra tests). They were open about the pros and cons of each option and supportive of my decisions. I liked that the doctor themself actually came out to speak with me, not just a tech or something (although they were great too). They picked up the phone after literally one ring if I had any questions while I was monitoring her at home. They communicated the next steps in an easily understandable way. I came back twice in one day, once in the morning and once at night, and even though the doctors were different they knew exactly what the situation was-no having to re-explain. Honestly better than a human ER! Lol.

We recently had an emergency situation with our boxer puppy. We called Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, per the recommendation of our vet, and they were extremely responsive, caring, and overall spectacular in addressing the situation and caring for our puppy. While we hope that we never have an emergency situation, we highly recommend them and would not hesitate to return in the future if our pup needed emergency care. Thank you!

We brought our cat in for an emergency. He's been fighting lymphoma for a long time. I noticed a good size open sore on him that was bleeding. Naturally, I was very upset. We even live next door to a shopping center with an emergency vet and they said they were full but wanted to see a picture. I sent the picture and they said he had to be seen but they were still at capacity. I called the next closest emergency vet and they were also at capacity. Columbia Pike said they would see him. Our cat was seen by Dr. Clinton who was wonderful. She had a very calming demeanor and I wish she could be my doctor. lol. I was also shocked (in a good way) by the price. It was only a third of what I pay for our regular vet appointments.

There's a rather obvious way to determine whether a business is hard-working and trustworthy- observe the parking lot. Despite the small parking lot Columbia Pike AH has, vacant spots can be few and far between throughout the day and night. I was there with my cat last Thursday and the general wait time was around 3 hours (1.5 hours for me). The following words are in response to a few other pet owners that I overheard expressing their frustration at having to wait. A long wait time isn't always the fault of an uncaring or inept staff, it's more often the result of a demand so great that one has wait to receive it- and we humans don't often wait around for mediocrity. So be patient, patients. If you want your pet to be examined by people who are focused and exact yet relaxed and comfortable, then why wouldn't the person ahead of you want the same?
I'd like to express my gratitude for the services my cat/friend/lazy roommate received from Dr. Chang. She is professional, knowledgeable, kind-hearted, logical, calm, and practical. She's pretty awesome.
I spoke with Christina a moment ago regarding a follow-up visit for my cat. Our 10 minute phone conversation is what inspired me to write this lengthy review (potentially available on Audible). Christina is easy to communicate with and thorough in her work. She's willing to go the extra mile and she isn't pretentious about it. She also has a sweet voice. What? It's the truth.
Thank you Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for taking, and continuing to take care of my friend.

We have had two visits with our new pet in the last 30 days. Our last visit was for surgery. Dr. Hall, along with his assistants, have been wonderful about communicating with us since surgery. We are 5 days post-op and have received calls from either Dr. Hall or his staff every day to check on how our girl is doing, and to reiterate signs/symptoms that will require emergent care.

I am totally satisfied with the care received here. First, I called at 3:30 am on Saturday morning to find out if I could come in and 20 minutes later my kitty was in their office for care. They were communicative, helpful, and kind. I’m not from the area and my fiancé was out of town so while I was going through this alone, sleep deprived, and emotionally distraught they were willing to help and were transparent at all times. The pricing was transparent as well, I wasn’t surprised by the bill and nothing I was charged for was something I hadn’t consented to. They went so far as to try and get an ultrasound that day and when they couldn’t, scheduled one later in the week and encouraged us to call around if we wanted to do it sooner. Dr. Clinton and Dr. Wong were excellent and were happy to take our questions—from both myself and my fiancé who called in to get more information when coming home. When they found something, they were upfront about it and told us exactly what to do next. They walked us through his blood work, his x-rays, and his behavior while there. We know our kitty received great care and was comfortable while there, and it seemed like they truly cared for him. We appreciate all their work to find the issue and help us determine what to do next to help him. Also, glad they were responsive to our questions and happy to take the time to talk to us when we picked him up!

We love your hospital. Everyone is professionally excellent AND kind. Dr. Nguyen was not there when we brought George in, but he has been responsive and wonderful via e-mail. Dr. Adriana who took care of George Friday was completely wonderful and perfect. She took real time with me, explained everything beautifully and was just fantastic. Danillo (who also helped us months ago with our cat, Cheese, was again lovely, smart and helpful. Jose, the tech (?) who brought George out to me at the end was funny, engaging, knowledgeable and kind. And the lovely woman with the British accent on the phone (I am so sorry, I don't know her name but surely you don't have 6 British women on staff?) was perfect. Thank you all for being so, so, so wonderful!

Wow! So many conflicting reviews! I can only talk about my experience though.
My 14 yr old, 5 lb Yorkie would NOT Eat for over 3 days. At a little over 5lbs that is NOT a good sign. Some vomiting and he showed interest in food but just could NOT Eat! Regular vet said take him to ER. I was terrified that I was going to lose him. He is so tiny he can't afford to lose any more weight. The staff there was amazing. They came out after 15 minutes and a phone call. Gizmo was seen, tested for EVERYTHING, then spent the nite. The vets called me at least 3 times. $1,300 dollars later, I am Happy to say he was properly diagnosed, treated and sent home the next day. He is eating well and definitely feeling better. Thanks so much!

Columbia Pike provided emergency service to Smores, my pet Havanese,
whose front paw had been sliced open by a neighbor's aggressive rescue. Two other animal clinics were fully booked and could provide no service. Columbia Pike, in contrast, said bring Smores in immediately. The staff got Smores into the system within a minute of arrival. Dr. Wong explained what she was going to do and sewed up Smores' paw mid-evening. The staff then provided capable care instructions. Removal of the stitches 12 days later could not have been quicker or easier. I thought the fee was quite reasonable for emergency service. Overall, I'm hugely pleased with Columbia Pike - much less pleased with my neighbor's hound.

Highly recommend this clinic! I have been taking my dog Bailey here for several years. The staff is very caring and helpful and the doctors are very knowledgeable. My most recent experiences have been with Dr. Waite, who was able to see us for an urgent appointment, get treatment started, and schedule a follow-up with time allotted for a potential surgical procedure (which she unfortunately needed) within a few days. She was very detailed, from discussing available treatment options, to providing updates on labwork and surgery.
Overall, this is an excellent clinic with amazing staff and doctors.
Peg Butner
The tech staff and doctors were all wonderful. The wait time was minimal for an emergency appointment. The test options were explained clearly and we discussed the reasons and costs of everything. The changeover from one doctor ending a shift and someone else taking over was seamless. Thank you for your caring and treatment of our dog.

We use a home health care vet, but have used Columbia Pike for a number of emergencies and they always do a bang up job. Most importantly their vets are great and that really is the priority for choosing a clinic. Their follow up is also quite good and the staff at the front desk is quite professional and responsive. They were absolutely slammed this weekend but handled it quite well.

We have been going to CPAH for 4 years now and could not be happier with the level of care that we receive. The vets truly care about their patients and the "parents" of their patients. Our cat has had two surgeries with Dr. Clinton and we knew we were in great hands. Our 1.5 year old dog, Dakota, has extremely high anxiety and we've finally found a match in Dr. Waite who is extremely kind and patient with Dakota and with my husband and I while we work hard to find a solution that works for all of us. The front desk/client relations staff as well as all of the techs are equally as wonderful - they put a lot of care into hiring the right people and it shows. Not to mention the 24 hour availability has saved us more than a few times and allows for extreme convenience with varying schedules.

I was here last week. I was seen pretty quickly. The pricing for an emergency was about 35-40 dollars cheaper than another place I had went. I felt the doctor was thorough with examining the records I sent over to them. He told me to up the dosage of my dogs current meds and she is doing better on that dosage. The place was busy at 9 something at night but they seemed to be quickly getting people in and out. I would come back here for the price. They seemed concerned and didn’t seem like they were trying to be a stickler for coins. So honestly I would def come back here for that alone even if it is about a 30 min drive from my home

I never write reviews. But I wanted to leave this review here for the Dr's and the staff here at Columbia Pike because everyone I spoke with from over the phone to walking in, to the doctors, to leaving had been superb. The response time is impeccable. I had been in a stressful point with my baby cat Yuna. She got a spayed done at Anicira, which they didn't give me a cone for her because they stated "it's rare cats get infections" well my cat did. This infuriated me. And being so late on Friday night when I noticed her wound was smelling and not looking right. I had to rush to an emergency vet ER in Manassas. They gave her antibiotics and some cleaning but that still didn't do it. I brought her here to get her checked out. Come to find out she fell ill with a fever. It broke my heart and troubled me that I had pay multiple payments else where just to have her condition worsen. When I met Dr. Jones she was angelic. She helped me through my process and made me feel like she cared for my baby like it was hers. Passing the information over to Dr. Pats and Dr. Chang, both had the same energy. They made sure every time I called (I called a lot) I was up to date and on track. They spoke to with great care, professionalism, and support. All in all, I would recommend Columbia Pike to anyone and everyone who believes their pet is their baby and want the best care for them. 100% without a doubt. You will feel the same way I felt. Thank you to the staff and Dr.'s here. Thank you for taking care of and brining my baby's health back!

Easy in and out for minor emergency on a Saturday. Really reasonable pricing and very friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to go back if.

Dr. Terra is FABULOUS and the staff is great at ER center. My kitty was very sick, but received an excellent care, and fully recovered after 1 day of treatment. I will highly recommend them.

We found this place when our pup was dealing with a double ear infection and too uncomfortable to sleep. We could not have been more happy with the customer service and treatment that we received at this facility. Highly recommend! PS stay away from VCA at all cost!

We used them for the first time in the middle of the night when our dog was in pain, but we intend to switch over to them as our full-time vet because the experience was so positive. Everyone we met, from the vet techs to the admin to the doctors (Dr Beckford in particular, who was so thorough and thoughtful and good at explaining things!), was so sweet to our dog and showed a genuine interest in him and cooed over how cute and sweet he was. Every doting dog owner wants compliments on their dog, so they made us feel totally welcome and at ease loving on him.
Our dog ended up having surgery there a few days later, and everything went smoothly. We really appreciated that Dr. Hall took the time to speak with us after the surgery and show us pictures and diagrams of what had been completed. The follow-up advice for medication management was very clear and helpful.
Thank you for the positive experience!

Columbia Pike Animal Hospital is the only place I trust to treat my dog and cat. They have 24/7 onsite personnel - most other vets do not provide this.
A few years ago my dog Mimi had a problem with her rear paw. I took her to a vet who referred me to a surgical service - which would cost $5-10,000. I decided to get another opinion and took Mimi to Columbia Pike and saw Dr Hall. He was kind and gentle and reassuring. He suggested waiting to see if her paw might heal itself. He gave me some meds for any pain. After a week, Mimi was fine - still is. Honest and sensible - they provide the best service.

My 15-year old dog has had a series of health challenges in her old age, with varying symptoms/complexity and throughout it all, Columbia Pike Animal Hospital has been really great. Of course it’s a pandemic and that comes with its own complications like waiting in the car, but everyone here (esp Dr Nishi) has cared for my girl very well. At one point she was hospitalized for three days and I was able to speak to them several times a day for updates and the level of care they provided was excellent. I drive here from DC because I trust Dr Nishi and the others as well.

I'm not sure why people complain about the front desk staff. My experience both on the phone and in person was very good. I did wonder why I answered all of the questions on the phone and had to write them down on a paper copy when I arrived, but that only took a couple minutes so it wasn't a big deal. Once that was squared away the technician took the weight and temperatures of my dogs. Then the doctor came in to do her check-up. She was friendly in her explanation of what she suggested and what was routine for dogs of our breed. After the dogs got their shots we walked back out to pay. The person checking us out at the front desk was still very friendly (a different person from check-in) and gave us a free office visit (roughly $50 off) for being a new client. Overall seemed like a great place, but I can't speak about the boarding facilities. I plan to use them as our regular vet for check-ups and emergencies if they ever arise.

We brought our new puppy for a Wellness checkup yesterday and were super happy! Everyone was practicing social distancing and taking safety precautions. Everyone was very nice and our visit was quick, and we already received a call back with lab results. Thank you!!

I took my dog here as an emergency when I noticed swelling on one of her hind legs and abdomen. She was brought in right away. Dr. Olec examined her and unfortunately diagnosed her with an aggressive cancer. She had to be euthanized. He worked with me on the bill because my wife and I had both been out of work for a long time due to covid. My sweet girl was able to be at peace thanks to Dr. Olec and the staff there. I even received a sympathy card from them about a week later.

We brought our cat Tom in for an emergency vets following several visits with our regular vet. They were able to get us in right away and immediately took vitals to ensure Tom was stable. The vet took a lot of time to speak with us (on what appeared to be a very busy Sunday) and referred Tom for further treatment (and even attempted to get a appointment with a specialist the next day). She also followed up with us the next day to check on Tom. The prices were reasonable for not just an emergency visit, but any visit. The staff was compassionate and attentive. If I lived closer, I would consider using them on a regular basis.

My family pets have been going to Dr. Hall SR since I was a little girl and my parents would've never gone to anyone else. After moving back from California I started bringing my babies here and have always been happy with all of the doctors that I have seen whether it be Dr Hall or any of the other staff doctors. Everyone is very kind, compassionate and has my babies best interest at heart. I highly recommend Columbia Pike Animal Hospital.

Thank you so much Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for getting my dog in at a minute's notice! Our beagle mix ate half of a jigsaw puzzle and the whole experience from start to finish was the best we've ever received in Nova (we've been to three other emergency vets). When they picked up the phone and gave us the advice to come right in, putting us at front of the line, and when we arrived there were four people working the front desk, which I loved because it meant that there was always someone to ask for an update and never a wait in line. I hadn't even gotten checked in yet before one of the vets came around and took our dog back to get the vomiting started. We were out in under an hour with all 15 puzzle pieces dealt with. Thank you!! Total crisis averted.

Our dog, Harper need her spleen removed due to a mass. Columbia Pike made everything very easy and quick. Harper was able to have the surgery the same day and we received consistent updates.
When Harper seemed like she needed a better pain medication - the staff moved faster than any human office probably would have to get the prescription filled and ready and the pharmacist hand-delivered the meds to the car.
Thank you everyone who helped with Harper's spleen removal on 10/12. Hanna and I were and continue to be touched by the level of care you all gave Harper and the support you gave to us. You are all doing amazing work in a crazy time and we appreciate you.
Thank you!
-Harper, Hanna and Kevin.

Our puppy had our very first emergency and as first-time dog parents, we were extremely concerned and scared. Luckily, Columbia Pike made the entire process as painless and simple for us. Starting with the front desk staff - they are extremely helpful and professional when discussing the symptoms. We were able to quickly book a same-day appointment. The check-in was quick and simple as well. Soon our puppy was being checked on by Dr. Barnett, who was just so good with the pup! She was very informative and comforting about our puppy's symptoms and gave us the right medication and diet suggestions going forward. In the end, the charge was much lower than what we expected and we couldn't be happier with the reasonable, no-hidden charges and information from Columbia Pike. We are glad to find the right place for our pup and we can definitely see us bringing our dog back for any routine check-up.

Got home late from work and realized my cat had somehow hurt her eye during the day. I freaked out I was so worried. Our normal vet was closed because it was almost midnight. I called here and they are 24hrs. I rushed my cat here and they took her right in. I had to wait outside because of covid-19. Thank God they were able to save her eye and everything will be okay. I cannot express in words how greatful I am too the great staff working long hours there to help pets in an emergency. Hopefully this will never happen again to us but this is a great place to bring your pet.

We have been using Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for 20+ years and we have seen several vets, and they were all great, but there is no one other than Dr. Kirchart i would trust with my pug! She has been caring for Daisy since we brought her in as a puppy almost 12 years ago. She is the pug whisperer. I have often told her that I wish my own doctors were as caring, competent, and responsive as her.

My husband and I were happy when we finally find a vet we liked for our two cats Daisy and Tiger when we first moved from Chicago in 2001. We saw Dr. Davis Hall in 2002. When his son became a vet we started seeing him. We have been happy with Dr. Reed Hall and the staff of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. After Daisy and Tiger, occasion stray, all our cats have been kittens left at the Town and Country Animal Shelter. The Town and Country Animal Hospital and Columbia Pike Animal Hospital are run by Dr Halls. I take my cats to which every hospital that Dr. Reed Hall is working at. I love the fact they are open 24/7 for emergencies. I have to happy with all the vets we have dealt especially doing emergency visits. With our Dr Davis Hall and Reed Halls help, our cats have live 15-21 years. Dr. Reed Hall and the staff at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital have been caring compassionate and professional. My 3 cats did well after their dental cleaning. He can in early on day of dental cleaning just to see out Delilah before the procedure. She is difficult to catch. Though, I think she has mellowed because she was much better than the 2 boys. I like that Dr Hall listens and cares about our cats. He knows they we consider they part of our family. Our kitties are spoiled and pampered. I only want the best for them!

Dr. Davis Hall has been my vet for several decades and I can't say enough good things about him and his center. I always know I will be guided wisely and kindly throughout all stages of a pet's life. The center now offers emergency care 24/7 with no emergency fees which is such a kindness. I gave his name (along with the that of the center) once again today. I'm happy to refer friends and patients to the center and personally wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a great experience with CPAH. I was put in a difficult situation and needed a last minute health certificate for a flight. Due to many reasons, my next morning appointment did not allow for the cert to be completed. The pup was a rescue who had just arrived from overseas and she had a family eagerly waiting on her in Colorado. Jeannie at the front desk went above and beyond and was very proactive to make this happen for us. We were able to switch doctors for the appointment and we made it to the airport for checkin just in time. The pup arrived safely to her new family on schedule and we are all appreciative.

We have been with Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for many. many years. Our dogs from the time they were puppies have always received wonderful care and attention from the excellent doctors and amazing staff. In addition to the compassionate, patient and kind care given at CPAH we also recommend their boarding and bath special services. Recently we have been receiving many mailings from new and other animal hospitals in the surrounding area, but we love CPAH and honestly would not consider going to or trusting the care of our furry family member(s) to any one else.

I have been coming to Columbia Pike for the last 17 years, despite the 36 traffic lights between them and my home. Dr. Flynn has been my vet, and I can't recommend her highly enough. With the exception of one vet tech, who I don't think lasted very long, all of the others have been kind, caring and professional. I've become particularly fond of Danilo, who has been especially good to me, the cat I had and the one I have now. The office staff has always been helpful and polite and even offered price matching on drugs, which lowered the price dramatically.

My four year old doodle has been coming to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for three years for his wellness visits and vaccines. Today was the third visit, and my dog was rather anxious. Nevertheless, Dr. Fink and assisting staff managed to get him through the exam and all the vaccine updates just fine. Dr. Fink discovered and treated an ear infection that I had overlooked, and she helped me plan a better protocol to prevent fleas and ticks. We are good for another year! It is a relief being able to rely on such dedicated vets and supporting staff to keep my pet healthy and strong.

First time visit with my 7 yr old Havanese. Called in advance to schedule dog dental cleaning. Arrived and was greeted promptly. Facility was undergoing minor renovations, but looked nice. Staff at the reception desk were friendly and organized. They gave me a rundown of the expected expenses and when I questioned some of them they said I could talk with the doctor and then cross off certain things I didn't think were necessary or didn't want. The procedure took about 2 hours but they keep them about 2 hours more in recovery as they come down from anesthesia. His teeth look amazing now and the doggie breath is completely gone. Very pleased overall.

Dr. Hall was very thorough and knowledgeable as well as being patient and kind.
He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. The staff was extremely
helpful and gentle with my pet.
This was an urgent care situation. I have taken my cat back to the veterinary clinic with
which we are both familiar for further treatment. They are not a 24 hour facility.
Next time there's a problem when we need urgent care, I would definitely return to you.

Dr. Flynn is the BEST Vet for all your pet needs. She is loving and compassionate with you and your pet. I have been seeing her for over 15 years and won't go anywhere else!!

CPAH has taken great care of my kitties for years and am very grateful for their professional and compassionate care. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who loves their animal companions.

I brought my cat in for an urgent visit, I very much appreciate the doctor who took care of my senior cat, he was awesome and very informative and I will recommend you to definitely trusting them to take care of your pet!
Stacy Hillegass
I took my three-year old cat here for the first time today, and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of care and professionalism. The staff are all courteous and kind, and Dr. Nguyen was gentle and patient with my cat (who does NOT like to be outside our home at all). Part of the reason why I decided to switch vets was so that I could take my kitty in for a bath - and I'm so glad I did. I can't say enough good things about CPAH's staff, who took in my cat, bathed him, and then swiftly returned him to me in under an hour. Next time he's due for a bath, I'll take advantage of their drop-off service and pick him up after work so he has a chance to dry off and relax.

We've visited Columbia Pike Animal hospital twice for late night emergencies- once when our dog ate IB profin pills, and a second time when she got a very deep laceration to the paw. First of all, they had NO WAIT time for emergencies- compared to another 24-hour hospital we went to first which had a three hour wait! Second, the quality of care was amazing and the Doctors took the time to explain everything to us. There was a crazy guy sitting next to us who was freaking out about his dog and we witnessed the Doctor acting so incredibly patient and kind towards him- we were really impressed. We actually have moved vets to this location even though this is much farther from our house because we've been so impressed.

This vet office was recommended by a friend. Even though I was happy with the practice I was associated with, she convinced me to try Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. Wow! This place is amazing. I decided to change my vet within 15 minutes of walking into their office. Staff is knowledgeable and the doctors take care of the pets, and also made sure all my questions were answered. I am so looking forward to working with Columbia Pike to take care of my dog. Why did I wait so long?
Chelsey Kimball
By a far the best veterinarian hospital/office I have ever been too. Extremely professional and caring staff that goes above and beyond to care for your pets and you! Smiles from every single person. You can tell they love their job. And that's so great to see.
A special shout out to Dr. Amy Taylor she's the most compassionate veterinarian I've ever come across. I would highly roccomennd this place to everyone!

[[UPDATE]]:Just came back for another revisit. My female pup was pregnant and Dr. JONATHAN who helped me before (in the review below) and tonight is hands down still the best doctor I've come across. If you go to this place ask for Dr. Jonathan. Hes good!
Staff is still friendly. A little bit of a wait this time around while my pup was in labor and I got a bit worried but in the end they reassured me she'd be ok. Didnt pay an arm and a leg either which is the reason why I'll keep coming back here. Hard to trust good vets nowadays. I took my dog to petsmart banfield once and they tried racking in unnecessary things. I really didnt like that. At this hospital I felt like I wasnt getting ripped off and the pricing felt fair. Thanks Columbia Pike for helping my pups once again!! I'll continue to refer you all and be a lifelong customer. Thank you!
I just left the vet with my pups mojo and Maggie; after a Marvin Gaye night between my male and female. This is hands down the best veteranarian in the area. The staff has warm smiles, everyone is nice, and they care deeply about each pet that walks in. I won’t dive too much more into my experience but it was unforgettable compared to all the other vets I’ve been too. UNFORGETTABLE. I thought I was going to pay an arm and leg for my dogs issues but it really meant a lot to me they looked into everything and helped me out in my time of need. My dogs are my life. I will now be a forever client of that hospital.
Columbia pike animal hospital if you are reading this I just want to say THANK YOU and I love you all so much!

I have been a client with Columbia Pike and Town and Country for over 20yrs, Have always been very appreciative of the friendliness of staff (they are extremely sweet with my attention-seeking pup), techs and the docs. They have been very supportive through adoption of rescue pets and very comforting when the time had come to let a pet pass on. I have and will always entrust my pets care to the staff at Columbia Pike and Town and Country

I was too happy to have found Columbia Pike Animal Hospital when my previous vet retired. I had gone to 3 other hospitals after his retirement and was deeply disappointed in each of them for more than one reason. A coworker recommended Columbia Pike which is where she took her dog. That was in March of 2000. I can't say enough good things about this hospital or my doctors. They continue to grow for the good of their patients and community and are now a 24/7 emergency facility with no emergency fee. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I give them a 15 out of 5 stars!
Amanda Hyde
Columbia Pike Animal Hospital took great care of our cat when we had to bring her in for urgent care. The staff was friendly and professional and cared for our cat despite her diva tendencies. Surgery was well done and we were given frequent, helpful updates via phone calls. The doctors, surgeon, and technicians all answered our questions thoroughly and kept our nerves calm. Our cat is recovering well and we will be coming back for a follow up appointment in a week or so!
Rhonda Cantrell
Excellent grooming done by Bessie. She is the only groomer that I will take my dog to. She is always kind and does a fantastic job with the cut. Front desk staff on Saturday was better than usual. There were some new faces at the front desk and everyone was friendly and helpful.
Amanda Aguilera
Dr. Tango and all the vet techs are fantastic. Dr. Tango performed a neutering procedure on my dog and he had the best of care. The next morning he bounded out of the kennel, seemingly without pain or discomfort and his recovery has been a breeze.
I was impressed by the skill of the stiches to close his incision. Could have been made by a plastic surgeon they were so perfect. Dr. Tango called the next day to check on my dog was doing and her call was so appreciated.
The vet techs were kind, friendly and made me feel like my dog would be well taken care of from the moment I dropped him off to the moment I picked him up the following day. Cannot say enough good things about them.

I needed to get my cat to urgent care, this was the only practice in the area that was able to see him. Great staff, great doctors, put me at ease and reassured me even though I was stressed out and worried about my little buddy, and the price was much better than other urgent vets in the area. Recommend 100%.

Dr. Kirchart is the best! I have nothing but praise and respect for her. She takes awesome care of my furr babies and has also gotten me through a couple of really bad times when one of my adorable kitties has left this world. She is thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, and has such a gentle touch towards her clients. I know my kitties are in the best hands through her care.
I have been taking my kitties to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital since 2001. All of the veterinarians I have come in contact with are wonderful doctors as well as people.
The tech staff is also fantastic.
Leslie Jensen
I really like this vet, have been taking my dogs here for years. There are a couple of veterinarians here that I prefer not to see because I think they go a little overboard with the testing recommendations but by-and-large their prices are very reasonable and treatment suggestions are down-to-earth. My favorite vet here hands down is Dr.Waite. My dog loves her and she has done more than one surgery to remove skin cancer on my elderly pitbull. Truly a magician! They're open 24/7 and don't charge extra for urgent care appointments which is really nice. They are a full service facility and if for whatever reason they cannot handle your situation, they give great referrals. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the waits are very long. I know this can't be helped, it's a huge vet hospital with a lot going on but it is still an annoyance. Be prepared to spend several hours here. Luckily, there is an Aldi and a nice coffee shop across the street if you are stuck.
Ryan Fubini
I don’t know how a negative thing could be written about this hospital. We called as a new client and sadly having to euthanize our dog. Many other hospitals wouldn’t even see us. They were beyond respectful, waved the new client fee, had a private room for us, were incredibly thoughtful, caring and kind. I could not say anything nicer about the staff and the hospital. Thank you all.
Lisa Hale
I have been bringing my pets here for years and I’ve never had an unpleasant experience. The staff are caring and compassionate and pleasant. One particular tech there named Daniel is an exceptional young man. I felt he was very sensitive to my feelings and needs when I had to have my 18 year old cat put down. He made a sad and dreadful ordeal less so due to his kindness and thoughtfulness which I appreciated very much. They are lucky to have an employee like him. He is truly an asset to that hospital.
Dave
Personnel fantastic w pets, reasonable prices, board in confidence - if any med emergency the Dr's are right there, 24 hr coverage. Adding from last review that the Tech Damian took a few extra minutes to help us understand our Maltese Poodle Mix's behavior which has really helped the Owner / Dog relationship and for when we are walking him and we encounter strangers & other dogs. The Dr.'s are all great. I really appreciate the extra time sometimes needed to answer questions.
Ben Wendell
This vet office is amazing. They are open 24 hours, but they don't charge any extra emergency fees. This allows you to bring your pet in at any time convenient for you. Dr. Mary was the best vet I've worked with in my 11 years of having my dog. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and I could tell she cared about the well-being of my dog. I highly recommend Colombia Pike Animal Hospital for all vet visits.
Shannon Papoulias
Dr. Hall has been our vet since my very first dog when I was 1 year old. Over the past 38 years, Columbia Pike Animal Hospital has taken great care of my parents 14 dogs, my sisters 4 dogs and my 2 dogs. I wouldn't trust anyone else, I even drive from DC just to come here!
Larry Boggs
I thought that Dr Davis Hall was excellent. Showed that he cared for my dogs. He has a good common sense approach and his experience in treating animals shows
I am changing vets and thank my friend for introducing me to Dr Hall and the Columbia Pike Veterniary Hospital. Very happy to have one that is open 24 hours a day.
alicia arnold
i was looking for a new vet in the new year, one that accepted Care Credit, then noticed one of my dogs had worms, and then got a call at work that the other was vomiting pink. I read the reviews, called 3 offices and found "you". My lil boy got in an emergency visit within 2 hours and treated lovingly and quickly. My lil girl in same night with the same courtesy and professional attention. Both visits were about the price of getting just one of my dogs vaccinated at my last vet.
I feel like they were both treated well and that the staff honestly cares for them and me. I've found my new vet and am very happy. Look forward to getting them back in shape 100% . Will be talking about my new vet office to everyone who wants to listen.
Thank You for takin' care of my fur babbies!
Taylor Newby
Jen did an awesome job of helping me safely get Calypso from our vehicle to the door and checking us in. Staff was extremely calm and friendly with myself and my Calypso. Calypso doesn’t do well with new people or the vet but they were so patient and we got the care we needed quick and efficiently. Molly, the vet was very responsive and professional. I will be continuing to come here instead of T&C. I also felt the cost of Calypsos exam and UTI treatment were reasonable as well.
Joan Tortorelli
We were referred by our dog walker and brought our chihuahua in for his annual checkup. The atmosphere was friendly, well equipped with pet foods and our VET was attentive and focused on our dog throughout. The next day we were called with the results of his routine lab work. The costs are reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend.
Anita Vachon
This was our first visit to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. We were very observant of the pets and owners coming inn and the treatment they received and the service of the staff.. The service and treatment was 5 star to us. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and the pets including ours were treated with care and concern . We met our vet who was so knowledgeable and gave us great comfort to put our babies in his care.

I have been going to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for over 20 years, and three dogs, two cats. I have always been very satisfied with the care I have gotten from the vets - Dr. Davis Hall, Dr. Reid Hall and Dr. Candace Flynn.
I go to Dr. Flynn now. Dr. Flynn does run late sometimes , but that is because she is spends the time needed with you and your pet...so I know to call in first to see how far behind she is. She is a fabulous vet.
I have also used their emergency vets and have been pleased with them as well.
My biggest complaint about Columbia Pike is trying to call in and speak to someone at the desk in a timely manner. The reception desk staff does their best but with so many docs and patients, I am sure that it is challenging to sometimes also deal with the incoming calls. Perhaps, they need to hire a flex staff that they can use when it gets busy - someone who just handles making appointments over the phone and other issues that come in over the phone.

This animal hospital rates 10-plus stars. I don’t know what I would do without CPAH. My dogs have seen different doctors here and they are all great. I definitely want to thank Dr. Clinton and Dr. Reinhard for performing surgery on my dog Coco, who is my best friend. They saved his life! All of the doctors at CPAH are amazing. They truly care about your fur babies and do everything they can to help you and your pets. I’ve been to a lot of animal hospitals and I’ve got to say this place is the best of them all. I really want to thank the client care receptionist, Sarah. Each time I’ve been in this hospital, she goes above and beyond. I was in tears last night about my dog having to get enucleation surgery and she helped me feel better and calm. She’s a great asset to the hospital. She’s always so sweet and easy to talk to! Thank you guys sooo much!
David Lambeth
Dr. Tango and team are phenomenal. Quick to arrange an appointment and their level of care is exceptional!

Our dog had spinal surgery 3 months ago. Dr. Novar and technicians were extremely kind and helpful during this visit. So professional and efficient. We appreciate everything.

I am very satisfied with the emergency care provided to my elderly dog. She needed stiches late at night so I had to leave her overnight, but I left feeling like she was in good hands as I got to meet the doctor that took care of her before I left. The vet told me exactly what she was going to do, the post-op care they would provide, gave me two price points (low and high estimations), contact information, and a time to pickup my dog in the morning. I received a call early in the morning to tell me how the surgery went to ease my anxiety. When I picked up my girl, a vet came out to talk with me and go over her medicine (antibiotics and pain meds). He gave me paperwork to take to my normal vet (as I was visiting from out of town), and he informed me the price was below the lowest estimation - I was very happy about that as you can imagine. I am extremely pleased with Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and everything about it. Thank you for taking care of my pup.
Maria Farrell
Last week was my first visit to this hospitall. My vet recommended this facility for after hours care and weekend care. I called at 6 pm and they were able to fit me into their schedule at 8:30 that evening. The staff was excellent and very caring. The vet that took care of my cat was knowledgeable and gave my cat just the right treatment for his injury. My cat was seen in less than 15 minutes and we were taken care of within the hour including cleaning his paw injury and administering antibiotics and pain meds. My cat is back to himself and no longer limping after his paw was injured. Their flexible hours and reasonable prices will also keep me coming back the next time my cat needs care. The other animal hospital I called was an automatic 275 dollar walk in fee. Columbia Pike has much better prices and a ton of great staff. Thank you for your excellent service. I will definitely be recommending your hospital to any of my friends with animals.

Mia has never particularly been a fan of vet visits but she is definitely at ease with Dr. Waite. I think being able to see the same doctor since she was a puppy , from her regular physicals to her surgery last year, has made things so much easier especially since Mia gets anxious. Dr. Waite always listens to our concerns and draws up a game plan for us. She has made our whole family feel at ease.

We rescued a Blue Tick Hound who has severe ear infections. I knew if I took him to Dr. Hall, all would be well. Due to Todd's conditions, Dr. Hall gave me an appointment immediately. I feel confident that our Todd will be fine soon. Both Fairfax and Colombia Pike are filled with caring staff who are willing and able to go above and beyond to help your pet.

- We have been using the clinic, now hospital, for our pets' veterinary care since the late 1970's. Now our family's next generation is doing so as well.
- The team of veterinarians & vet techs are very professional and skilled. They do all that they can to ensure your pet's needs and comfort are taken care of. As advocates for our pets, the doctors are thorough about providing detailed information related to wellness care at all stages of their lives- geriatric pet care has always been delivered in an empathetic manner. The team's sensitivity in delivering tough news is unprecedented; they don't want patients to leave without having certainty that the the human is comfortable about giving proper care at home. The vets & staff do a great job of educating us!
- As for a negative comment about the reception team- yes, they had a bumpy run but the situation has been well remedied. The hospital's front line are a kind, courteous, and responsive group manning a verrry busy front desk and fielding endless phone calls.
- As long as we remain in the northern VA area, we will remain clients of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital.-

I heard so many good things about this animal hospital. The animal hospital Dante and Princess go to is Fairfax Animal Hospital, but they were very busy and couldn't take Dante in for an appointment at the time I was available so I called Columbia Pike. They were able to take him in that day at 7:30 PM and I was so happy!
The place is clean and very big! Some of the staff were nice and some were... I just assumed that some were just stressed. There was a nice gentleman that loved Dante and helped me out to sign-in.
I came 10 minutes early, and they took Dante in exactly at his appointment time which was great! The vet came in 7:40 PM and made her diagnosis for Dante. She was going to give him medication. I waited for my medication in the diagnosis room for exactly 1 hour and 5 minutes. I wasn't sure if the vet was going to come in and explain the dose and time to give Dante his medication like they do at Fairfax... but I finally stopped someone and asked if I wait in the room or outside. She said, "Ohhh I was going to come in and check on you," and then she asked, "if the vet finished with me?" Clearly there is poor communication going on, or they forgot about me.
The vet technician told me I can wait up front and someone will sign me out. I was supposed to get a new patient from before my appointment, but they forgot to give it to me, and this added more time.
I would have given this place 2 stars, but because Dante is a new patient they gave me a free doggy bag poop holder with a lot of bags which made me happy, as well as a Columbia Pike Animal Hospital bag with a folder with information and coupons!

Everyone is kind, caring and helpful. The quality of care is second to none.

Great service, very well train people. Nurses are awesome (Christian was a great help with my dogs first visit). Doctor Waith took care of my dog with patience and kindness. Now he likes the vet office.

I love Columbia Pike AH. I’ve been taking my first dog Simba here ever since I rescued him and we have gotten to know the awesome staff and they really love and care for my pup! I then got a German Shepherd puppy and they are fantastic with both dogs. We usually go to Dr. Novarr but I am happy going to any doctor if he isn’t there, they are just that good overall! Just recently Simba was attacked by an awful dog at the dog park so we rushed him in to get checked, they couldn’t find anything but had him for over an hour and didn’t even charge us! Took care of him and we were on our way! They have everything in house, very fast, you can usually get appointments for non-emergency the same day or the next, and walk in 24/7 for emergency visits with no extra fee. Love Columbia Pike AH and would recommend it for all pet owners for many reasons!!

Everything went exactly as planned. Danilo is the very BEST! I have known him for many years and trust him explicitly. I had my first tela conference with Dr. Flynn several months ago and she was fantastic. She took the time to listen and explain things to me after Katie's physical. I wasn't able to come in and waited in the car. This dental cleaning was her suggestion, so glad we came and had her and Danilo do the procedure yesterday. Dr. Flynn called and gave me a report after the cleaning, all went very well. In these crazy days, it is so very comforting to know you are there with distancing and all the other precautions that have become our new normal.
Thank you again. Please stay safe .

This was my first time visiting this vet and I had a GREAT experiencing. I have a new puppy and the staff were so nice and accommodating. They even cut my puppies nails for her and did not have ask them. The staff were so professional and my time spent there was quick. I will definitely be returning and referring them to other dog owners

My cat was having breathing issues late at night. She was seen very promptly, and the vet was very thorough in getting information from me, and in letting me know what he recommended after examining her. Kitty is doing better (yay) and the fee for the exam, x-rays and medication was very reasonable; I was not charged an outrageous fee as I would have been at the other emergency veterinary clinics I've gone to in the past in No. Virginia. I felt the care my animal received was comparable and would highly recommend this practice for urgent and emergency care.

This is my second time using CPAH.
My first visit was for an emergency with my beloved dog, Nyla. She had to be put down. Dr. Shaugnessey and staff were ALL very comforting and caring. I thought to myself, when I get a new pup, this was where I would bring them.
My new pup Venus (female Dobie) was spayed by Dr. Reed Hall. Dr. Hall kept me informed and took time to explain all of Venus' necessary after care. He also telephoned me several times to let me know of Venus' progress, right after surgery. Additionally, the Technician I was also impressed with, as well. The young lady behind the counter that sits in the first position remembered me from when I brought Nyla in. At that time and this time, she was also very pleasant.
I want to personally THANK the wonderful staff at CPAH. I highly recommend CPAH. Btw, Venus' brother will be coming in on Tuesday to be neutered. I highly recommended my friend to CPAH and Dr. Hall.
THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Jack Brown

Columbia Pike was able to see my 4 lb yorkie in an urgent care situation when her usual vet was unavailable. Staff were helpful and Dr. Clinton was amazing - responsive to questions after the visit and following up regarding Belle's care. I will definitely return.
Marguerite Curry
I always use Columbia Pike for my dogs Brody and Jager's care, they are truly the best! I picked them up today after an overnight stay and the staff took great care of them as usual! Thank you for your continued service!!!! You should be proud of the kennel staff and their warm and kind manner!
Jae Chang
This is one of the few places that opens 24/7 in the area. I went to them for my pet (dog) needs through the recommendation of my co-worker. Overall I'm satisfied with their level of service. However, when I tried to order some prescription through chewy.com to save some money, they were not responsive. I had to physically drive over to pickup my dog's medications at the store.
Marye Kincheloe
Went for emergency service. Received a friendly greeting upon arrival considering the time of night. Great COVID protocol! I was able to sit in my car while waiting for my pup to be examined. Got answers to all of my questions. My pup was properly diagnosed. Meds provided and off we went. Excellent service! Thank you to those who were on duty last night.
Heather Miller
I had to take my cat Loki here on a Saturday evening for an emergency visit. He had a buildup of fluid in his stomach from an ongoing problem. Everyone was extremely professional and thorough in their explanations. The text results came back on a day the vet we spoke to had off work - but she called us to let us know the results from home! We did a follow up visit there instead of our regular vet since Columbia Pike has an ultrasound tech on staff. Again, everyone was patient & explained our options very well. The bill for both visits weren't any higher than our normal vet, their sister hospital, Town & Country!
Teresa Jones
Took my sick cat (that generally has an attitude) here for an urgent care visit and they were thankfully able to see me the same day. Dr. Mary Clinton was A+ and I give her 6 stars for thoroughly explaining things in a straightforward manner and understanding the moodiness of my cat in the process. I will be bringing my cat here for regular visits in the future.
Chris Poteat
We recently moved to the area and needed an emergency Saturday visit for our sick dog. Our current vet referred us to Columbia Pike & we were seen immediately. Dr. Tango was extremely nice and promptly diagnosed & treated our little guy who recovered very rapidly. She even followed up with a call on Sunday to check his progress. I was extremely pleased with the level of professionalism & service I received. The fees were also very reasonable.
Once we get settled here in Northern Virginia, Columbia Pike will be our new vet.

I have been taking my dogs to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for at least 10 years and they take amazing care of my pets. The physicians are amazing, the techs are friendly and super helpful, we are always seen in an appropriate amount of time (lets face it, no doctors office, human or otherwise EVER runs on time, its pretty naive to expect as much), and the pricing is honestly not bad at all. They give fair warning when a medication is going to be expensive and the pros and cons of such medicine. They give detailed estimates when surgery is required and I have rarely paid more than they quoted me. My ONLY negative feeling about them is that, as a medical administrative professional for over 15 years, their front desk staff could use a little polishing. They have never been blatantly rude, but I wouldn't call them professional either. Ask for an itemized reciept? "I guess." Make a passing comment about payment plans? "We aren't a bank." Need to be placed on hold? You won't get any warning. I have experienced much worse as a client/patient/employer, but I've also had better. Go in with a grain of salt and know that they are there and have an honest desire to help you and your pet, but you won't get glittering smiles and chipper politeness. All of that said, it is not even remotely enough of an issue to keep me from coming back. I will continue to come here as long as they are available!
Christina Mitchell
We were unhappy with our dog’s veterinarian, and our neighbor suggested we try Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. He’s a native of the area, so we took his recommendation and it was the best decision we could have made. The past year has been difficult for our dog: she was diagnosed with Cushing’s last year and frequently suffers from the effects of the disease. We visit the vet fairly often and are so impressed by how caring and compassionate the doctors, techs, and receptionists are. Everyone truly wants to do as much as they can to help the furry friends that come in the door. We’re so lucky to have found them!
Eric Wood
I took my Yellow Lab to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital this week for a hematoma in her ear, which had me very freaked out. She was taken care of by Dr Nishi who did a phenomenal job. He explained everything that caused the issue and walked us through the continuing care. She is home and feeling much better. It is also important to note that the entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The facilities are very clean and clearly well tended to. I would absolutely recommend anyone to take their pets here for emergency or regular care. A+++
Monico Havier
Normally we take our dog, Peaches, to Town & Country Animal Hospital but we wanted to see our regular vet earlier than normal (he works at both locations). The service was as good as we expect and Dr. Hall gave our girl his usual top notch care.
Soon they'll have 24 hour service so this will definitely be our first choice in a pet emergency.
Marie Williams
Dr. Tango is so wonderful! Once again she took care of our Buckie and he's feeling so much better already. Twice you've mailed us his regular medications, as well, and we appreciate that and all you do for our pups. Thanks CPAH!
Trish Kimminau
A friend recommended CPAH as a reasonably-priced vet. I have been extremely pleased with them, and especially Dr Tango, the vet they assigned to my cat. She has helped us through some tough decisions as my cat is experiencing kidney failure. She is compassionate but also practical, telling me the truth and helping me make decisions on end-of-life care for my pet.
Lia Biondo
I haven't even stepped foot on the premises yet and am already so enthralled with the kind, professional service! Sunday morning, I woke to a sick pup and called to see if I should bring him in for an exam. Kristie (I think, sorry!) answered the phone and calmly and kindly took down my information and concerns. She said she would speak with a vet and be back in touch promptly. A few minutes later, I received that callback and an updated course of action. I'm so grateful for the professional team here and look forward to utilizing their services exclusively moving forward.
Katie McHenry
My cats and I have been going to CPAH for years, and we love the clinic! The veterinarians are very caring (one of them even came to my apartment to give my kitty her shots, since she knew this kitty was a bundle of nerves), and the vet techs and receptionists are always very helpful and friendly as well. Anyway, everyone at the clinic is just wonderful! I greatly appreciate all the fantastic care they've given my kitties over the years.
Emmah Lynch
We have been bringing our cats to CPAH for years now. My cat Luna is 20 years old. I brought her in for a UTI, and was very concerned about her. She looked miserable and was clearly not feeling well. Both the tech and Dr. Reinhardt were so good with her, handling her gently and with concern. She received an antibiotic shot and an anti-inflammatory shot, and when I brought her home, she curled up and went right to sleep. Her fur was filthy, and she had no interest in grooming. By this morning, she was up eating and drinking, she had cleaned herself up and was using her litterbox again, and back to her usual spry self. Having and elderly cat is stressful, and having an elderly cat who gets sick is even worse! I cannot thank Dr. Reinhardt enough for her concern and attention to Luna. I am so happy to have such a wonderful veterinary practice so close by, and recommend CPAH every chance I get. Luna and I thank you for all your wonderful work, and your lovely, caring staff!
Jennifer Pena
Have taken my pups there for emergency services as well as dental care multiple times. The staff is amazing, professional. Wouldn't choose any other vet for the care of my K9 babies. Thank you for everything you have done for our doggies. I recommend without reservations.
Gini Moore
Dr. Davis Hall has been my vet for four Scotties. He is a real character, with extensive knowledge and is very caring. Very nice atmosphere. Had to board my scottie for an extended period due to my hospitalization. Excellent care.

Very reasonable cost for urgent care services, excellent vets. Dr Nishi was terrific, very knowledgeable. although I was sure that my cat was just dehydrated and constipated, he cautioned that my cat could possibly have a urinary blockage because my cat had a full bladder and wouldn’t express, it was an astute point, because my 20 year old cat had 2 blockages in the past. Anyhow, he told me to ensure that my cat urinates within the next 3 hours, if not, he needed to be brought back. (Dr Nishi also gave me the option to leave him at hospital for a couple of hours). I decided to take home, thankfully , my polite cat “expressed” himself right away when he got home, although he decided to do so in his cat bed, He is doing much better today and using the litter box. Thanks CPAH and Dr Nishi!

I have been coming here for a few years and today my 2 grls got groomed. And I have to say I almost cried bc I was so happy with how they turned out. I tell everybody about the docs and how much I love them but after today I am amazed by every service there top notch 👌 …

I love this place! Place is clean, price is reasonable than the other two place I went, and staffs here are friendly.
My husband and I took our dog to see Dr. Andrew Nguyen yesterday. Dr. Nguyen always take the time to talk to us, explained the issues, and make us feel that he cares. He is very gentle with our dog. I definitely recommend this hospital and Dr. Nguyen!!!
Thank you Dr. Andrew Nguyen!

It was great! I knew my cat was being well cared for and didn't feel pressured to do extraneous procedures. I felt pricing and measured approach to procedures were very fair, especially considering it was an emergency vet appt. The staff handled everything well despite being slammed by customers.

I recently brought my two dogs to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. Both are older dogs, but generally in good health. I was never thrilled with the service we received at our previous vet, and after asking around and searching neighborhood groups, I decided to switch over to Columbia Pike. In one hour there, I'm more impressed than I have been in over 14 years at my previous vet. Dr. Novarr sat on the floor to examine my dogs, rather than have them up on that aluminum scale that they hate. My previous vet never did that. Dr. Novarr was kind and informative and very respectful. He was forthcoming with the cost of any tests/vaccinations/other work that might have to be done. And as if that wasn't enough, he called today with the results of both dogs bloodwork and asked how they were doing, etc. I was very happy with the service I received there and am very glad I made the switch.

These folks are THE BEST, HANDS DOWN!!!! No groomer on earth except for the Cat Whisperer's at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital can handle my youngest cat Maggie. I drive all the way from DC just to have her groomed here! Thanks for always taking such good care of my baby!

We love Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. We have adopted two dogs in the past 6 years and they have cared for them both. All of the vets we've had are great and we've had a great experience with Dr. Clinton, and Dr. Novarr. Dr. Clinton removed a bb from our sweet rescue when we noticed the lump. Dr. Novarr was very helpful in talking us through our first dog's care through his lymphoma diagnosis at a very young age, explaining the options, and recommending an oncologist and is great with our dog, Milo.. All of the techs have also been great with our dogs, and we do appreciate the extra care.

the doctor was very nice, it was our first time having a pet cat in the house. He was very nice and will definitely come back, This will be our place to go for immunizations and check ups for our cat. He was very patient, and answered all our questions swiftly.

I wish I could give 6 stars to this animal hospital and its wonderful staff - they saved the life of our cat and we are especially grateful to Dr. Chad Nishi and Britney (at the reception) for being there when we almost lost hope...
We had to have our cat admitted to the emergency room in January and after an unfortunate experience in another local emergency clinic, I must have called every area animal emergency hospital with not much luck. Almost at the final hour, when all seemed lost, I called Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, where Britney picked up the call and within 30 seconds of speaking to her, hearing her compassion and care, a glimmer of hope appeared. She got Dr. Nishi to talk to us on the phone and after getting his very clear and reassuring guidance, we decided to transfer our cat to the Columbia Pike hospital.
We met them that evening, our cat suffering silently in her carrier, and us teary-eyed from the ordeal. Dr. Nishi's compassion, amazing enthusiasm, and clear competence changed the dynamic for all of us that evening. Within a few minutes, we had a plan for decisive treatment and knew that our cat was in kind, expert hands.
The following days were not easy - our cat developed issues that were not expected - through it all, the Doctors in the hospital were very professional and helpful. Dr. Nishi stayed on top of the treatment plan throughout and we got through it all and took our cat home on a mend.
There were some billing issues, as quite a few doctors were engaged in the treatment, but we did not come expecting the services of an accountant and as far as Doctor's care, it was simply incredible, amazing and top notch in every respect.
Its been nearly 6 months, and as of this morning, the cat was playing with her favorite mouse toy as we left the house to work.
Thank you, Columbia Pike AH; Thank you Britney; Thank you Dr. Nishi - you saved our loved one!!!

I just want to say thank you all for the care you provided to Luna at our emergency visit. Everyone was friendly, caring, and explained the process throughout the visit. During Covid, I felt safe and knew she was in good hands. The follow up call the next day from Dr.Wells was thoughtful and appreciated. Thank you again and kiddos to the whole staff who were very friendly and attentive.

Dr. Kirchart was very helpful in explaining everything going on with my dog’s dental surgery. Louis had periodontal disease and had to get all of his teeth pulled. I live in MD and drove over an hour to have him taken care of at this office. I highly recommend them, it was worth the drive for sure as well.

After an appointment with a different Vet (which after 10 minutes of visual inspection, stated that it would $2000.00 to get her better) I was a bit hesitant to bring my Belle somewhere else. But after several friends referred Dr. Hall. I decided to bring her in. Dr. Hall is amazing. He informed me of the issues and offered MANY different treatments, starting with the shots and laser treatment and pain medicine. After 1 hour I saw the difference. My Belle walked up the stairs by herself for the first time in weeks! I know that this is going to be a long road to her being 100% but I appreciate the manner in which Dr. Hall and his staff approached it! Belle and I Thank you!!!!
Jeff King
We received excellent service and care from Dr. Hall and his staff here. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the information we needed for our pet and understood the severity of our pets condition. Even with the current Covid conditions in place the process was very smooth and clear.
Charles Lee
Was our family animal center of choice for at least 20 years. Also boarded my current dog there many times when traveling. I recommend them highly. Like any other type service, pay attention to your bill, ask questions ahead of time. Nothing special just fairly affordable services.
Deborah Kitchens
We have taken our 3 dogs to Columbia Pile Animal Hospital since we moved to the area in 2011. We have been VERY pleased with the level of professionalism of the vets. Although we don’t always get to see our regular vet, Dr. Matt Novarr - who has always been so helpful, every veterinarian we have had to work with has been super friendly and have explained what is wrong/what we need to do to keep our 3 dogs in optimum health.
We used to live in Annandale but now live in Alexandria and we happily drive the extra time to ensure we get the level of care we’ve become accustomed to at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital.
Robin Willis
I really appreciate Dr. Novarrs availability. My dogs condition worsened overnight after he looked at her and he saw me right away the next morning to reassess. He didn't even charge me for the extra visit, just for materials and labor, which was extremely considerate. I feel much better about the situation knowing there's always someone there to help since they're open 24/7. It's great that you can get actual doctors on the phone to ask questions at any time.
I've been here for chocolate poisoning and an infected anal gland now and both times I was treated very well as were my dogs.

I can't say enough good things about CPAH. All the vets are very patient , informative, and caring. Entire staff are extremely courteous and knowledgeable. And the hours are amazing. I come from DC because I can make a late evening appt , take 20 minutes to get there rather than go somewhere 2 miles away that will take 40 min to get to and the bill will be times 3! I have a 6 year old cat who has always been overweight. She is now perfect weight and much healthier after 1 year of being a patient here!
BUSINESS WiseMind
We have 2 kittens and a 5 year old min pin we took them in just for an examination once we filled out the paper work we were seen pretty quickly . Literally every single staff member was super nice especially our doctor C. Bilgir super nice and definitely can tell her heart is in it for sure !!! Too bad we couldn't give 10 star .highly recommended most definitely our new vet 👍

Yasuko and Bessie groomed my doggie since TCAH stopped their service and both did a very good job!
My last visit ......I was impressed with Molly at the front desk when I checked in. She took her time and listened to me about my concerns ( my dog has epilepsy) I’m worried might have seizures while groomed.
Also Yasuko is so sweet to check how my dog is! Btw I didn’t know that grooming charges were based in weight...my furbaby gained wt.d/t phenobarbital! Overall I’m satisfied with grooming.
I have no contacts with any of the vets here because I always go to TCAH the sister hospital.
Paul J.
My wife and I love Columbia Pike! Dr Flynn was there with us through everything with our Chocolate Lab. Dr Tango was with us to the end with our Yellow Lab. We`ve had no complaints about the Vets here. Thank you for everything!
Nancy Longmyer
I have been going to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for at least 30 years with my dogs and cats. I am very satisfied with the care they have given my animals. Dr. Davis Hall is very knowledgeable and gives very helpful advise when one is uncertain about what to do. Dr. Flynn and Dr. Kirchard are very good also. I give 5 stars

A friend took in my 14 year old feral cat. In general, with me and now other people, she's a love bug, but get her in a stressful situation, especially if I'm not around, and that wild child comes out, full on. When she came home, she went into her basket (the only hiding place I allow her - because I can easily get her out), but she came out that evening!!! That speaks volumes with a feral. That tells me right there that she got great care, and that they know how to handle a feral in a way that is safe for them and less stressful for the animal. If they can handle a feral in such a great way, imagine how amazing they are with animals who do not have this issue!!! Exemplary care, truly. Edited for grammar errors.

Dr. Reed Hall has taken care of my three cats,,,Maeve (mom) since Molly and Pumpkin were one week old(now 10 years old). He and Dr. Davis Hall have been wonderful to them.....as well my two previous cats, Fuzzy and Snowflake. I recommend them without reservation!
Mara Alvarez
Went in as an emergency and was seen by a vet within 5 mins of arriving. They addressed our issue and answered our questions. Would recommend!
Friend of the Accotink
The people at CPAH are unfailingly caring and present me with all options when it comes to treating my dog but don't pressure me into doing anything and everything. They are open 24 hours a day and take pets on a moment's notice. It's reassuring to know that if my dog has some distress at 2 a.m. that I have somewhere to take him to, somewhere I know and trust. I've been a customer for 5 years and while I've been to other practices, this is my top choice.
christina chern
I've taken our dogs to CPAH for over 12 years now. Our dogs have been seen by most of the doctors and have been taken in for large range of different issues- routine wellness exams, torn ACL, heart murmur, etc. Front desk staff can be hit or miss as the other reviews have mentioned. Docs have all been amazing- great follow up, available to answer questions, and you never feel rushed.
Sebrin Adem
Giselle, at the reception took care of us she was more understanding and communicate well. Our cat Milo was sick and Dr. Jonathan did a wonderful job.The best veterinarian hospital & all the staff was professional and caring.
Thank you.
Kristen Wohlschlegel
I first came to Columbia Pike when my dog was bitten by another dog and needs sutures. My regular vet wouldn't see us. Rhymes with Urban...anyway Columbia saw us within an hour of calling and were amazing. 2nd time I took my 12 yr lab in was yesterday. He was suddenly having issues walking. What I like is they truely care about the animals and aren't trying to run up the bill.
Maryanne Torrey
Took my cat here for an emergency visit at night. Dr Clinton, VetTech, and FrontDesk were all wonderful and compassionate, which I greatly appreciated during a time of stress. The doctor made her follow-up call the next day, as promised, and I was able to move forward with the quick test results. Very pleased all-around.
Patricia Houston
I love the vets particularly Dr Kirchart but the reception area is appalling. On a non busy morning - 3 on duty. Two on phone, one mesmerized by her computer frantically chewing gum. She was the only one I recognized, the other two seemed new. No "we will be with you shortly" no eye contact, nothing. Two other patients ahead of me just shrugged and said they couldn't believe it and would go elsewhere unless an improvement is made. When one finally noticed us, no apology and she moved like molasses. She did share that the computers were slow, and the printer was giving troubles. Someone needs to train the front office staff - they are the face of the business.
Wes Sanchez
I scheduled an appointment this morning 3/9/18 for a 9:00 am appointment. The front desk attendants were polite, courteous and were prompt to notify me when the vet was ready to see me. After being escorted to a private room the vet assistant weighed my Pomeranian and took her temperature. Within a few minutes my Pomeranian was seen by Dr. Sureni Beckford, DVM. Dr. Beckford examined my dog Bootsie and determined that she probably had early stages of Kennel Cough Syndrome. She discussed the pros and cons of antibiotics and also cough suppressants. Her cool manner and professional down to earth style put me at ease and gave me the confidence that Bootsie would receive the best service. I highly recommend the Columbia Pike Hospital.

This was our first visit to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. We found it to be very clean and all of the staff was so friendly to us and our boy Duck.
The Vet was awesome and so friendly and informative. We love where they are located, and the APP that we can use to keep track of all of Ducks info.
Sue Licatovich
I have been to this hospital twice. Both times were very positive experiences. The vets were very caring and gave me several options for treatment for my cat that had gotten himself in a dust up and had puncture wounds. The most recent visit was for vax & check up. It was a brief appointment, but I was very satisfied with it. My cat was too.
Kristin R
Long time client (25yrs +) and have always had a wonderful experience. We receive friendly check in and out. The veterinary care is superb and honest. I trust them 100 percent with the care of our cats and dogs.
Tina Diamond
Dr. Tango was very thorough with the exam and listened carefully to my concerns. She made sure all my questions were answered before we wrapped up the appointment and provided me with money saving tips for pet ownership.
lisa jones
This has always been my mom's vet. I just recently started to bring my dog here as well. Dr. Hall is great very patient, old school and explains every thing . He did knee surgery on my mom's dog and she has recovered well. We also have seen Dr. Norvell and Wait who are also great.
Daniel Grahn
I have moved around a lot recently and this vet is THE BEST I’ve been to. The staff are highly competent and very kind. They want to help you and your pet. The vet was able to explain what was going on and what I had to do in a way that didn’t make me feel stupid. And the visit was very affordable!
Go here! Don’t waste your time and money anywhere else!!
Kara P
This place is great. They are inexpensive and open 24 hours with no emergency fee! While I like all the doctors...they're all wonderful...I would recommend Dr. Novarr and Dr. Tango. If I have a quick question about my pets, I can email Dr. Novarr and he is quick to respond. I like that option so I don't have to pay an exam fee for every little thing. I drive half an hour just to use this place for my pets. Well worth it.
I just wish they would separate the waiting room for cats and dogs since many dog owners don't control their animals very well.
Maria Pereira
Columbia Pike has always been amazing to work with, from desk and tech staff to the veterinarians. Dr. Kirchart and Dr. Nishi specifically, were both not only empathetic, but matter of fact and reassured and supported us in our care for our dog. Columbia Pike and Town and Country are amazing and I'd never want my animals to go anywhere else while we're here.
Gwen Williams
I have had my cat and dog since 2009. I transferred to Columbia Hospital because of my job relocation. Columbia Pike Animal Hospital was the closet to my home. It was so warming to know that I didn't have to worry about my babies when I took them in for their check up or if they were sick. I always try to stay with the same doctor because I want whom ever is treating my babies to know there history. Dr. Danoff, Dr. Nguyen and
Dr. Hall you all are the best. Dr. Hall and Dr. Nguyen was there for my baby Max last days and it meant the world to me. Dr. Nguyen help my baby Max transition from man's hand to God's hand and I thank you. I can't say enough about the professionalism, caring, and just overall kindness during each visit at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. I wish nothing but much, much success for the business. I will stand on a roof top to refer everyone that has a pet to CPAH. Don't stop what you all are doing. God's Blessing upon you.

We brought our dog into the hospital at night because he had something stuck in his eye. Even though it looked pretty busy and the parking lot was very crowded, we were in and out with terrific treatment in 45 minutes. That has to be a record for an ER visit!
Nikii Frank
At every level of care, starting even with signing in, everyone is helpful, professional and truly cares about your pet. Best of all is being able to get a last minute appointment, or even seeing a Veterinarian in the middle of the night if needed. I've had over 10 years experience with this practice.
Suzanne Rowlson
Columbia Pike Animal Hospital is the the only place I take my animals for grooming and health care. They are the most established practice for animal health care in Fairfax County. From the time I walk into the door to the time I leave, I know the best has been done for my dogs and cats.
Allison Carmody
Dr. Novar and Ian took care of my baby bear for a blood draw (8 yr old 130lb Malamute) - they did a great job (he's not an easy patient when it comes to blood tests, as he is a huge dog with a double coat). I highly recommend this vet to all of my fellow fur baby parents. :)
MiSchele Anderson
I started going here about 5 years ago. I trust them with my dogs. They are open 24/7 so there is always availability and I can get my dogs in when I need also when there are emergencies you can go right in, oh and no emergency fees! Another plus is that they provide grooming at a reasonable prices. It's everything I need. I moved further away but I still go to them because they are so good!
Kim Rendelson
Really like Dr. Hall Sr. You can tell he really cares about our pets and we feel they're well taken care of. We've taken our 7 animals to him over the years and trust him. Feel like our animals are getting good care.

My 13 y.o. cat had suffered from mild respiratory issues all her life. When she suddenly stopped eating and became lethargic, I took her to see Dr. Ceyda Bilgir, or as her staff calls her: Dr. Ceyda. I knew my cat was in trouble. I was thinking she would not last much longer, and that I may not leave the vet with her. Dr. Ceyda would have none of that. She was all about finding the issue and fixing it, and until she had more proof she would not give up. She proposed a care plan including overnight boarding. When the x-ray was done it was clear that it was more serious, and she had a new plan to pull out all the stops, but she refrained from presenting it to me because she sensed my despair. She told me my cat was hurting, and the prognosis was not good. She was only very consoling and kind to me and my cat. Euthanizing a pet is tough and heart-wrenching. She helped me through the whole process. I cannot say enough about how professional, kind and caring she was.
Brian L
I went here when I couldn't get into my regular vet for what I thought was an emergency. When we arrived, they promptly took my dog into the back and examined him. They couldn't have been any better. I am seriously considering making this the full-time vet that I bring my dog to. Was very pleased with the service.
Joan Kisska
I have been with this practice for at least 45 years and have watched it grow. Dr. Hall is one of the most caring and competent vets in the business. I am so glad I had the good fortune of finding him and his wonderful practice. I can't tell you the number of people I have recommended to his facility. Thank you, Dr. Hall. You and your staff have been a blessing.
Robert Foss
My injured cat received very good care, and the staff were capable and efficient. They were particularly good at scheduling appointments that met the need of the customer. They were friendly, and the prices were competitive. All in all, an excellent experience.

Great service, I’m so glad I found them great doctor. Especially doctor Reed I would highly recommend him. Over all they took good care of my puppy fluffy. He had been sick since I rescued him almost every month . we were visiting veterinarian every month. finally dr. Reed diagonose him correct now on he will be the only one I will be visiting for any concern .
Thank you Dr. Reed.

Our Shiba Inu Yuki was severely hypoglycemic, hypertensive, had UTI, and was going through a tremendous seizure. Initial evaluation was possible brain damage and chances of recovery were practically nothing. We had Yuki hospitalized upon advice from the vet. After three days and nights, and after at least 4 vets treating and taking care of him, Yuki is finally home with his typical demeanour. Thanks to your kind and patient care, Yuki should be fine. Thank you all.

Things are so weird with COVID. The drop off/ sign in procedures we’re not explained well when I made the appointment or when I called from the car. And yes this detail made me a nervous wreck when someone came out to my car to get Miss Maebel and take her out of my sight. But in 15 minutes Dr. Flynn called and put my fears to rest. She was calm and reassuring and that’s exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for taking such good care of Maebel.
Blaine Reyes
This is the first time Lewy and I have been to your facility since our previous vet decided to close their emergency 24/7 hospital service down. Front desk, technicians, and doctor were all very pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to a new relationship with your office.
Cheryl Heidel
For me the convenience is key (24/7 care but not nearly the price of a standard "emergency" vet), but I wouldn't go here if they didn't also provide great care. Dr. Fink is thorough, caring and knowledgeable. When I need some backup meds, they have them onsite for purchase along with pill pockets for sale.

We want to thank The Columbia Pike Animal Hospital from the bottom of our hearts for the care and kindness given to our beloved dog "Chutney". His Vet, Dr. Shauna Waite, with great skill and dedication, went to heroic lengths to save him from a number of devastating maladies.
We anguished about putting Chutney down but he was visibly suffering, --and we had to contend with a dire prognosis for his recovery. On Sep 16, 2015, with great trepidation, we decided to bring Chutney to the CPAH for the last time.
We have always had a dog and Chutney was the very best ever. He was the most loving and loveable creature anyone could hope for. He was friendly to all, had no bad habits, was playful and happy. He always wanted to please. We loved him so very much.
We were so pleased at the way the entire matter was handled by the staff at the Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. There was great empathy and realization that a family member was being put down. The experience was so much in keeping with our needs, and desires. It uplifted us from the depths of our despair and let us feel we were not alone. And this was all highlighted by Dr. Waite's heartfelt prayer -- both touching and apropos. Nothing has impressed us more than the professional skills and unfiltered empathy shown by Dr. Waite.
We have been with the Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for many years and have seen many changes in its approach and operation. The leadership, management and staff have done wonders. All these changes have brought this facility to a top notch pet care center. It is a model of excellence and we would recommend it to all pet owners in the area and beyond.
Best Regards, and many thanks to all CPAH personnel who helped us through this ordeal.

The staff was extremely efficient, kind and considerate. The doctor was very compassionate to my cat's care and needs and went above and beyond. Thank you

I took my Persian cat to see Dr. Jennifer Brindler at Columbia Pike Animal Hospital recently. Dr. Brindler and all of her assistants were extremely nice to my cat! They were very professional. I was seen on time and Dr. Brindler checked my cat and diagnosed her with an ear infection very quickly, and she gave me medication for the cat. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism and good atmosphere here. I'd highliy recommend it to anyone with a cat or dog!

This place is like a 2nd home for me and my bulldog, Cannoli. Most of the staff adores me and I the same! Dr. Flynn and Dr. Novar have been soo kind with my aging bulldog. Brook at the front desk and Cliff in the back are always soo kind! Refer to me via first name! I'm soo glad CPAH is right up the street from me but more importantly, the majority of the staff are kind to me and my dog! I am forever grateful!

I love the quality of care we received from Dr. jones and Ian McCabe!! We just adopted our 90 pound lap dog on Thursday and they were able to fit us in the same day and absolutely took the time to answer every question we had and helped us figure out a cost friendly treatment plan for our fur baby. HAnds down would recommend both Ian and Dr.Jones!!
Kathryn Robbins
I've been coming to Columbia Pike AH for many years.
I find the techs very courteous and helpful. The front desk is too busy and sometimes I have to wait too long to check out but I think its a great place and my vet is excellent as well as informative and caring. The best Vet Office.
Ellen Bosley
C.J. is awesome! He has always done an impeccable job in grooming Anna and making her feel comfortable with him. She always comes out looking like the most beautiful Persian kitty in the whole wide world.
Alicia Blowers
We have been going to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital for over 2 years and whenever we go, we always have a wonderful experience. The vets (we've seen Davis Hall, Dr. Flynn and Dr. Navarr) are great with Molly (our pit bull) and it is no exaggeration to say that she gets excited when she realizes she's going to the vet and can't stop wagging her tail. The front desk staff and vet techs. lavish Molly was attention and are quick and responsive with the humans too! We first connected with them when Molly tore her CCL and miniscus and needed surgery. Dr. Davis Hall performed the surgery and went above and beyond to take care of Molly and follow-up with any questions or concerns. I really can't say enough good things about this practice and the people who work there.
Shelly Heald Han
Columbia Pike has excellent staff and doctors. Their patient care system is efficient and they have adapted to Covid with curbside care. The availability of extended hours for care is a huge plus.
Kristen Shorrock
Everyone is always so kind, professional, and helpful. We love bringing Apollo here! All staff go the extra mile, and it shows. Couldn’t be happier that we found you for our pup.
Melanie Odria
Dr. Taylor was amazing and the staff they have there were very helpful and kind. Unfortunately my visit wasn't the greatest outcome as I had to put my pup to rest :(. Dr. Taylor made my experience a little more soothing as she was very caring and gave me many options for my pets. She explained everything to me in detail. Best emergency care I have been to and best vet I have seen!
Brandon L
After having to make the decision to put my 16+ year old cat down, the staff and vetenarian were extremely sympathetic to my visit. The vetenarian walked me through the whole process and tenderly accommodated me and my friend until his last breath. She allowed me as much time as I needed to say goodbye. While I still grieve for my friend, I was very grateful for the staff and vet that helped me through this difficult visit.
Claudia C.
Dr. David Hall is truly amazing. Nothing compares to the years or knowledge and expertise he has. He loves his job and loves what he does. I recommend him to all my friends because he is the best at what he does. he does not overcharge, and doesn't perform unnecessary test if he deems them unnecessary. He is an honest vet and a very nice person. He has a very special place in our hearts.
Thomas Tyler
I really enjoy the candid nature of their Vets and vet techs. It is especially easy when dealing with end of life issues with your pet. I've been taking my dog here for 10+ years, never had a bad experience.
Beth Anne “Beth”
Took my cat to see Dr. Kirchart. What a wonderful Veterinarian, she took her time, and my cat was not afraid. Dr. Kirchart showed my cat, and me such compassion. She was thorough and understanding in how she presented the steps we should take, to make a proper diagnosis & prognosis.
I left feeling that my cat was so fortunate to have Dr. Kirchart. Felt trust in the Doctor and the Animal Hospital staff.
Blessed and fortunate. Give Dr. Kirchart and staff highest marks. Thanks for your care.

The technicians & Dr. Navarr were patient with my cat's anxiety at being handled, & mine over concern for their welfare. This takes additional time, so I appreciate their care & efforts to distract him with treats rather than categorizing him as an intractable cat on his first visit. Thank you all!
Mark Coulter
Very friendly and caring staff! They took great care of our pet. Their prices better than some other 24 hour animal hospitals. I just wish we lived closer to them.
Stacie Fuller
Our pets are family too. They treat them with love respect and care. After several years with Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, we wouldn't want to take our pets anywhere else!
Sarah Sanborn
The staff was so friendly and informative. Short wait time for a walk in urgent care visit, total visit time was approximately 30 minutes and I left feeling reassured and informed on care instructions and what to look out for that would warrant another visit. You guys are awesome, thanks again!
Kate Nyers
You all went ABOVE AND BEYOND taking care of my boy. I cannot thank you enough!
In fact...I was SO PLEASED, I am officially changing his vet from Waldorf Animal Clinic--to you all.
I am so grateful for all of your hard work and appreciation and care that you all provided. Truly cannot thank you enough! ❤

Columbia Pike Animal Hospital has always been fantastic about accommodating our "challenging-mannered" rescue dog. They have a very nice, caring team, and we could not be happier with the treatment!
Denise Heredia
I highly recommend Dr. Emmy Sund. She is really professional, experienced, honest, and incredible responsible to keep me update on my pet's needs. My pets love Dr. Sund and I feel very grateful and very very very lucky to have found and awesome veterinary for my pet's health needs. I trust her 100%. Thank you Dr. Sund !
Melissa Kahlke
Very friendly workers and it was such a quick appointment. They were friendly over the phone and I called and in person. I went in for an urgent visit for my cat with a nasty eye infection and they gave me some antibiotic drops and we were out.

Our dog Cooper digested Xylitol and was treated by the doctors and staff. I can't say enough about the care, communication, and genuine compassion they gave Cooper. Though the outcome of this painful experience is not certain, my wife and I know that he couldn't have received better care. Thank you CPAH!
Jemar Dupree
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Clean environment. Major compliment: if you are ever in the area, perhaps after visiting one of the nearby restaurants, you can come check-out the boarded kitties through the giant window on the side of the building! (So cute!) Minor complaint: Entrance is on side street, making it somewhat hard to find.
