It was my first time getting vaccines/heart worm test for Baklava since I adopted him last year. I will definitely recommend this wonderful place and return for his next vaccines ect.

The staff and our veterinarian were absolutely amazing! They offer an afternoon short clinic which has restrictions understandably. However they are extremely patient and respectful when they have to turn people away who have exceeded the capacity for the day.. We have taken our four legged babies there for years definitely a recommendation.

I took my female Persian cat in to get spayed one week ago. I had the best possible experience with the staff and the entire process! They treated her as if she was their only patient. I thought she would be miserable and scared but Lollie was putty in their hands! They did an excellent job. There were no post-op issues and she healed beautifully. Lollie is back in tip top shape. The cost was very reasonable and the care was exemplary. I highly recommend them👍 If I could give them ten stars I would ! They provide wonderful care for your beloved pets❤️❤️❤️ thank you Valley Vetco!

This place is awesome, although they only do first come first serve on walk in for shots, it’s a reasonable wait if you get there a few hours before closing. Super nice staff! My dog loves this place more than his own home I think

I was recommended to this Vet by a close friend. I was hesitant at first, but decided to give it a shot. I had my puppy neutered & microchiped. He is doing well on his second day. No issues or concerns after surgery. The process is easy. The prices and treatments are definitely affordable! You just need to arrive early on scheduled appointments to avoid a long wait time. You must wear a mask, sign in on at outside table and wait in your car like most Vets. They will call your name over a loud speaker when it's your time to enter.

Wouldn't take our pup anywhere else! The staff is so friendly and attentive. We were able to get our Yorkie 2 of his shots, his microchip, and he was neutered for the price it cost us just to get 1 shot and a checkup at VCA! Price aside, we also felt the vet was much more thorough and more open to questions and concerns. Expect a very long wait unless you plan ahead and get there extra early but there is a good reason so many people are interested in coming here! Zero complaints.

Absolutely love, you have to get there early because they only take so many pets for vaccines each day. So try to arrive 15-20 before they open the line starts forming quick. We had started taking our kitten Luna and quickly noticed how fair the pricing wise. So we took our older two cats to get caught up on their rabies vaccine. My two year old tortie ended up having a reaction Tito the vaccine shortly after we got home. I called and they were quick to say come back. So we rushed over and they took her right in. They were supposed to go on lunch soon but still agreed to see her. She got a few injections to help and we’re kind and reassuring while only charging a fair price for the extra services. We are so grateful for the help on this stressful situation. We highly recommend to anyone. They truly care about their customers and pets.

My dog was taken care of but because I made some remarks while the doctor wasn't even present I am no longer welcome at valley vetco...funny cause she took one look at my dog and said she's very overweight meanwhile average weight for standard daschunds is 16 pounds right where she is at...yes I made a remark about I have to waive my rights to them killing my dog if anything happens I said ridiculous and they took that to heart no problem cause I showed up at 7am and they had all their clients waiting in the snow for them Dr barb acts like she was very professional when she was rude the entire time than they charge us because my dog was "swollen" from heat when she wasn't Dr didn't say anything about that before the surgery when I checked her in but I got a 30 dollar charge extra check your receipts future clients they charge u more than what your expecting

So the wait for the walk-in shot clinic was about 1.5-2 hours but I have to say, it was worth it! The entire staff from reception to nurses and especially the Dr., were super friendly. They treated both of dogs so well and they are pretty big dogs! They were both there to get their shots and one of them microchipped and the entire bill came to $100. Super impressed! It's a little bit of a drive from where we live but they will be our go-to vet for Loki and Thor from now on.

I took my puppy here for a set of shots. From signing up to seeing the vet and getting the shots everything was great. Everybody was super friendly and informative. They do not try to talk you into anything as some places do. The vet that we seen personally was very nice and helpful. The cost are super affordable! The other vetco we had gone too wouldn’t let me bring my dog anymore because he gets nervous and goes all rawr on people but the staff here were so chill about it and just told us oh it’s fine just next time to bring a muzzle and put it on him for his shots.they said he’s was a very good dog just gets nervous is all.

This was my first experience here and it was great! The staff was very nice & efficient. I got there at 1pm and they open at 230pm. There was already some pet owners waiting and they were also friendly. They all chatted about how they've been coming here for years and about the process. The staff brought the list out about 45(ish) minutes before opening. And their available slots filled up before they opened so, don't wait till the last minute! Once they called I was in and out in 30min. They were quick, friendly, helpful, and of course a great price! Overall, I'm very pleased and I will be returning. I already scheduled my pet's spay appointment.

I wasn't sure what to expect... you need to show up early, they put a sign-up sheet out 60 to 30 minutes before they open. I got there early and there are these three people waiting. It was fun talking with them. Then they bring you in like4-6 at a time via text. The girls at the front desk are extremely professional. The vet came out and got my dog who is a rescue, she asked me to hand Ginger to her which I thought was sweet.... she could tell she was scared with all the other dogs. This woman is a true angel. It only took a few minutes she weighed Ginger and then gave her her shots. I had to wait 10 minutes for the heartworm test so I took her out to the car so she could relax. Honestly my vet was going to charge over $300 this cost me about $150 with 6 months of Heartgard. Even having a rescue that isn't good with other dogs it's still was a great experience! Highly recommended! Thank you Valley Vet.... Well Done!!!!

Drove three hours to get my two German shepards vaccinated last minute and although the line was very long, waited an hour, the staff was knowledgeable and caring. The vaccines took all of 3 minutes tops. Very efficient

Not a fan of the check in process for day of surgery. Everyone scheduled for surgery is to be there at 7am but then have to wait for a list to write your name down, then wait to be called on. Seems like there could be a more convenient process to keep the patients waiting so long. Overall, they took good care of my fur baby and simplified post op care.

Very well organized customer oriented group serving the area to give your pets the very best care hands down. Great service! The staff was amazing! UPDATE: Over 2 weeks since our dog was spayed and no problems at all! They did such a great job and she has a cute smiley face tattoo now! Social distancing and cleaning precautions were apparently rigorous!

I took my puppy's Madonna and Lorde and they did a great job. The girls that work there or staff are the best. I was very nervous when I left my puppy's there but when I got them back I was so happy this is the place to go. Valley vetco takes care of your pet here they care they give you good advice on how to care for your pet. I can't remember her name but I call her the tattoo girl she's awesome. I would always bring my pet here as long as they live and thrive. I wish the staff the great Christmas Happy New Year.

Things are different because of covid, but it’s still great service and has friendly staff. It’s a long wait but it’s always been like that even before corona. I’ve been coming here for a long time and there were times where I would wait in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours to be seen because they are so busy. It’s still a long wait but we’re waiting outside instead. It’s worth it because of the great prices.

Great place for puppy shots very cheap and easy. I took in three doberman puppies and they were so nice they offered to help carry my puppies because they saw I was struggling with them. They had proper covid rules only one person can go in with Pets. You must be wearing a mask 😷. Very clean and smells nothing like animals smells clean and natural. I will definitely be coming back.

$60 for 2 pups. If they say they open at a certain time get there about a hour early as you have to sign in and they only do groups of 5. I arrived at 8am for the Saturday 9am opening. I signed in i got the last spot on the sheet and waited for about 3 hours. When we got in we were out in less than 15 minutes. They were nice and my pups were fine and had no issues. Don't show up when they open as its more than likely too late and the list is full.

I love this place, so friendly and knowledgeable! I'll be going there for my Scooby's fourth shot treatment tomorrow and we are more than happy to see the staff again. I do think there does need to be some type of check-in when people show up early that way there's no confusion when the line begins. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. Thanks for everything!

This should have been a 5 star. I have been there before. They have a great front end team and the facility is always clean.... However, today I was confronted by an OVERLY aggressive Vet (I assume, no name badge was present) in the lobby after a tech asked if my dog was spade. I responded no she may be pregnant, within a minute the Vet comes out from the back and in front of other clients proceeded to question me and my reasoning for breading my dog then walked away and seemed to slam the door as she went to the back again. I understand there are risk to ANY mother who becomes pregnant. I love my dogs and will responsibly help her through this. Next time a conversation like this should be held in private or not at all. I appreciate her concern for my Molly but her manner was unprofessional and appeared to be more about her personal opinion then a professional one.

Definitely glad I went there to get my puppy his shots, the staff were all very helpful and nice, and the lobby was clean. Also, it didn't have that awful animal/vet smell that other veterinarian offices I've been to have. Much appreciated that this place is one of the clinics that have an "affordable" day(s) and times at which anyone can walk in and get their dogs/cats shots without breaking the bank! For me to get my puppy his first set of shots it was $33 even, and I believe they do this every Saturday from 9-12 and 1-4.

I have been taking my pets here for years and I would like to point out that the staff is very friendly and generous. I have two rescues and they are quite comfortable with the staff. I don't see how anybody could have a negative experience at this facility. Thank you and keep doing good business. I would like to point out that even if it's not in your policy, I'm glad you enforce cats to be in carriers. A frightened cat can be a danger to the owner, other pets, and your staff. The wait room can get full so if your pet isn't very social I'd caution staying in the lobby to wait. Some wait outside. I haven't had any issues with the care they provide. Valley Vetco spayed and micro chipped one of our dogs last year. We moved and needed to change our address for the chip. I called on Saturday and left a message. I got a call back on Monday. The lady gave me the number to the company who manages the chip and gave me the chip's number, which is exactly what I needed to make the change. I went yesterday there with my malinois. The personal at the entrance was very nice and friendly and help me right the way. My dog got his shots for 28$ plus tax so it was a really good price. I probably spend an hour there. I didn't put five stars because I wasn't really happy about a comment that the vet did to me. As a foreigner my English is good but It's not my native language so when you speak fast sometimes I didn't get it when I ask the vet to explain me cuz I didn't get it. She literally told me "oh you get this expensive dog and you didn't know about it " I thought it was totally rude and unprofessional for this particular comment. That was my first experience at the vet in USA and I used to French vet even if you don't know about something they want to teach you for the best interest of the animals and not assuming that you get an animal just because It was expensive. The rest of the visit was great. My puppy had a good experience there so I will definitely come back there. After I was done I spent an another 15 minutes with an other vet just talking about my malinois she was really nice and friendly. This clinic is a cheap clinic and because it cheap they have a lot of people.They get the job done and that what we want. Thanks you

Though they are not a full service veterinarian they can take care of most thing from rabies shots, 1st set of puppy shots to neutering. Definitely a good filler for before you have a solid vet you can go to. They didn't recognize my dog with the amount of people they see and always ask for shot records even though my dog has only received shots at this clinic. I will be switching over to a smaller clinic soon, but this works and the staff is still lovely.

I've been taking my pets here since 2004, and consistently receive quality service. You will wait forty five minutes to an hour if on shot clinic days, so arrive early and reduce your wait time. The staff is usually extremely busy, so don't expect to get the phone answered during shot clinic hours. Patricia, the DVM I've been working with for numerous animals for the last 8 years is compassionate yet efficient. She truly cares about animals, and will tell you the truth - even if you don't want to hear it. Thumbs up for a quality, affordable veterinary service.

These people are amazing!! A few months ago my dog was staying at a friend’s while I was moving and she got lost and Valley Vetco found her and called me immediately and when I got there to pick her up they were swooning over her and had been cuddling and giving her treats all day. Today I needed to get her vaccines updated and I was there for less than half an hour. The receptionist was a cool lady with tattoos and when I told her my financial situation (out of work because of a traumatic event) she gave me a coupon/discount. I waited about ten minutes during their walk-in hours to be called up for that initial interaction. Once she shad me checked in, we were literally called into the clinic room within two minutes. They again were super sweet and the whole vaccination ordeal took maybe 5 minutes. They gave me all of the paperwork I needed and said “bye!!” to my pup over and over as I left and did the same for every animal in there. They sincerely care for and love animals. These are the kind of people that should be providing medical care to our creatures. I will be a Valley Vetco “Loyal” for the entirety of my ABQ existence!

This place really needs to start scheduling appointments instead of their walk in policy that has you waiting sometimes 2 hrs in a hot car with your pet. It's too stressful on pets and their human friends. I have a relatively new vehicle, 2016, and it's still too hot. I can't imagine somebody who needs pet care with a less than reliable air conditioner.

I don’t understand where these bad reviews are coming from, people are giving one stars just because they are inconvenienced or unhappy that they are unable to be seen. They are not giving reviews for receiving bad service or treatment, they are just angry because they were not able to get on the list. They are walk in, so there is no guarantee that you will be seen. I’ve been going to Valley Vetco for years, and the service and staff are always wonderful.

We went in for the shot clinic which is run on a walk in basis...worked perfect for my two girls and I. The staff was both friendly and very efficient. Our wait was not long at all and both my girls loved the Veterinarian and all the treats (of course). We definitely recommend this office.

The vet was wonderful, but the two women at the front need some education in customer service. They were absolutely terrible. I got there at 2:45pm and didn’t leave until almost 6pm because even though I went to the desk multiple times, they kept overlooking my name on the list. The steps are, arrive 1-2 hers early. Stand outside in front of your car until someone comes over to stand. Stand in line.The staff will come out with sign up paper 1/2 HR before they open. Sign up, go back to your car until called by microphone. They bring in 5 people with Dogs. They have a certain time and then you're too late. Leave your Dogs in your car until they call you. They will take the Dogs from you for vaccines etc.

The staff was nice and the building was clean, but the disclaimer on the instruction sheet for the microchip said not to touch, pet, rub, bathe, or allow my pet to roughhouse with other dogs for 7 days so the microchip can implant properly or they will not be held responsible for replacing it. So I'm supposed to keep my pet in his crate and not touch him for 7 days. Then bring him back and if the chip shows on the scanner they will put the number in my pet's chart. If it doesn't, I'm responsible because I let my pet be a pet. Seriously????

She's ARROGANT, JUDGMENTAL, unprofessional, made assumptions & inappropriate remarks about our care of our dog.("look at her nails! They need to be cut!") Accused me of not allowing her any exercise. ("Why is she in in a stroller!?") BECAUSE IT MAKES IT EASIER TO TAKE HER PLACES WITH US. DUH !!! In a further attempt to TRY & assert her "superiority" & intimidate me (NOT) she used medical language that I'm sure she thought I couldn't possibly understand. She reminded of certain people I encountered back in Canarsie & Brooklyn,N.Y.C. I DO NOT tolerate this kind of "care" for myself & I certainly won't for my fur baby. Maybe she thinks how she treats patient's pet parents doesn't matter because of the low prices. Fortunately, the Vet Tech/ Assistant was MUCH nicer & polite. And on second thought, maybe that's why the receptionist looked unhappy....

First off....this vet company does NOT accept appointments....never has. It is always been first come, first served. Also, they do not open until 9:00am so I can't really see why anyone would think they had to get up at 6:30am to arrive, unless they live out of town. Second, the receptionist quotes fixed prices such as shots, heartworm, neuter and spayed....on the phone before you ever walk in the door. The reason for a surprise charge would because you weren't listening to what you're being told. Also, their prices are listed on their webpage. I've taken my cats here since early 2005 and had nothing but great service. If a person's children are misbehaving....it is on the parent of not being a good parent...not the vet's or other customer's problem. Vet yelling and screaming....I seriously doubt it.

We decided to try to save some money on dog vaccines and go to Valley Vetco. OMG...we paid half of what we usually do (saved over 100 bucks on 2 dogs) and they are also a lot more caring. They don't seem to be in it for the money. When we first got there, they scanned their chips, why is this the first time I have seen a vet do this? I was then shown how to express Zoey's anal glands and so I could save 40-60 bucks instead of the vet doing it. They also explained each procedure as they did it, they didn't take the dogs out of the room and did everything with us there, and they also told us where our babies would be sore and what do to to make them more comfortable. Never have been to such a caring place. I recommend Valley Vetco to everyone!
