My boy dog Riley has diabetes and I have to give him a shot twice a day. I hate needles but the total staff was so supportive in educating me on how to do it I feel secure in giving it to Riley. He is feeling much better. They were so good that I gave them a 10%off of any landscaping work from my business TRC Property Services landscaping. My offer includes the entire staff. I love the vets at Rio Bravo, everyone is so kind and helpful and their prices are very reasonable. I have 2 dogs I bring here one of which is very timid and can be reactive so she has to be muzzled at the vet but they are so so sweet and patient with her. They don’t rush her exams or overwhelm her, they’re very understanding of her anxious nature. I’m so glad we found this vet office! I would recommend Rio Bravo to anyone.

I had mad an appointment on Friday March 25 to get my dog her shots and set up an appointment to have her spade. The next morning Saturday the 26th my 2 dogs got in a really bad fight! I wanted to keep the appointment for her shots this day but she also needed medical car. They told me they were busy and because her appointment was only for her vaccine they could probably only get her shots done. After going in they assessed her and got her in and cleaned up they gave A+ service. The prices are reasonable. I work in the automotive field and I try to treat my customers how I would like to be treated. Rio Bravo veterinary clinic did an outstanding job. I will only bring my pets here from now on! My daughter needs her dog spade and I asked how much her vet wanted and she said $700-$900. Rio Bravo is half that price! If you need petcare this should be the only place you go. Best service and petcare I have ever seen in a business in my life. I am 48 so I've been around for a while! Thank you Rio Bravo veterinary clinic!

I'm so thankful for this vet to finally help my son's dog that had been suffering with a bacterial infection for awhile, and the other vet said it was allergies. He's been on antibiotics for a couple weeks and is doing 100% better than he was. I have driven past the Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital weekly, always thinking to take my cats there, and the need to visit came. The waiting room is spacious and very neat/clean, as well as the examination rooms. The staff is friendly and the appointment was on time. My cat, who is usually scared of new faces and places was unusually comfortable and loved all the attention she received from the nurse and the doctor (I was as well). It was nice and reassuring to have the nurse and doctor speak of their pets. I trust my Kitty's instinct to now make this her (and her brother's) permanent vet. I did have to visit again the following week and had the same experiences. I also felt that the office fee was competitive to other vets I have gone to on the past, but overall my kitty and I loved the care and service we received.

They called me promptly the next morning after I had left a message on a holiday. Then I got my dog in that morning, and the treatment for her pain worked immediately. The doctors there are all very nice, call and check on the status of your pet the next day and are great at explaining results of labwork, etc.

This is one of the best veterinary offices I have ever been to! I brought my pitty in because she caught parvo after the lady we got her from lied and said she had her shots when she hadn't. Dropped blizzard off at 9am he was done by 11:30. They are always super friendly and fast. There was a few spots on him where blizzard must have moved while she was shaving him. but no big deal. He looks so much cuter with his hair short. She gave me a call a few days later after seeing my review and asked if i could bring him back in to fix him up free of charge and I thought that was very professional and nice of her to do. Rio Bravo Vet clinic has the most courteous, caring, and accommodating staff I have ever experienced at a Vet Clinic. In fact, better than most human clinics. I have two pet Peking ducks. The girl got attacked by a coyote in the summer and I was able to get an emergency appointment. Dr. Barnes treated her compassionately and she recovered very quickly as a result. In the fall, the boy duck developed a prolapsed phallus which I never experienced before. I was nervous and concerned in terms of the surgery. Dr. Mazzolini explained and answered my questions professionally. She did what she explained and the boy duck got back to normal life after the surgery. I can't be happier with the way the injury was resolved. They also provided affordable medication and office staff played the important role as the TLC team. I highly recommend these knowledgeable doctors for small animal care. I've been to Rio Bravo Vet Hospital several times. Every time I go, they make me feel like my dog is special. Everybody is friendly. I love that they don't appear to overbook appointments as I have been seen timely at every visit. When my dog had knee surgery they called the next day to make sure she was doing okay. This was the first visit to this veterinary location and was pleased with there professionalism and must say there prices were affordable as well. Under the Covid circumstances that were all under it's all appointments only. So, when you go for your appointment you call them when you arrive then they come out to your vehicle to get all the necessary information as to why of the visit. After that they go back in to give all information to the doctor then they come back for your pet to get looked at. Once the doctor sees and evaluates your pet the doctor comes out to you and talks about whatever needs to be done. That's basically the process due to Covid 19. So you never go inside with your pet. I know that could be a little stressful for you and your pet but under the circumstances that's the process to keep everyone safe. We got all our pets needs taken care of with this visit and that's what was all we expected. I would highly recommend Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital for your pets health needs.

Love these guys. They went above and beyond to make sure my dog could visit me in the ICU after I was in a terrible accident. They faxed his records to the hospital right away, so he would be allowed in. They helped me again when he got loose and was picked up by animal control, who claimed his tag was not current, again they faxed the paperwork right away so he did not need to spend the night in a shelter. Then after he lost his tag they mailed me another. Really, spectacular folks. Thank you guys so very much.

I have a Kitty now 9 years old. She had "bugs" - fleas and never before. She's also never worn a collar. Called several pet stores thinking they would be more cost effective. I got a range of $30 to $70 for the drops. I finally called my vet. They have "drops" for $14.33 + tax for a month's supply. If you're a senior citizen like me you get a 10 percent discount. The phone answering/counter personel are wonderful. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because I knew about the drops but not how to administer them. So I cut open the vile instead of just cutting off the tip. I've called them back and said please ask people if they have ever used the drops before and then tell them to just cut the tip. They said they would. Very close to I-25 south.

Great vet. Friendly staff. This is my go-to place for all my animals! Edit: I removed one star because I took my cat in because she was peeing on the bed, I was told that there was nothing they could really do to check. They felt her stomach and told me to get some plastic litter (which they sell) so I can get a urine sample. The problem has since been resolved but I ended up having to pay almost $60 for them just to feel her stomach. I wish they would see how they didn't really do much of anything but still charged a lot to see her for 15-20 minutes :(

I am a truck driver and Lacy, my 11 year old beagle, started having urinary problems about 1 1/2 days prior to passing through the area. I called Friday while on my rest break to see if they took walk-in appts and spoke with Sandy. I delivered Saturday morning but couldn’t give an exact time that I could be there by to set up an appt. Sandy said give her a call once empty and she would see what was available. I was able to get in. Sandy was extremely nice when I arrived. The vet tech with the walking cast on (I don’t remember her name)who checked my old little girl in was extremely nice as well as professional. Then Dr Susan Neary came in to evaluate Lacy. She was very professional, courteous and thorough with the exam. Every thing was explained and at no point was I left with any doubt about the course of treatment. I am extremely grateful for the care, compassion and professional care afforded to my little girl. Thanks so much.

Dr. Mazzolini is the best. She takes really good care of our dog, a pit mix. We've taken him there since adopting him 2 years ago. He has had a lot of health problems, from worms to allergies. Every time we take him, she has been great.

We have been taking our dog Chuey here for over 10 years. Sadly, Chuey had to be put to rest the day after thanksgiving this year, and the staff was so sympathetic and loving throughout the entire ordeal, and throughout Chuey’s cancer diagnosis. A veterinary technician that knew Chuey even came in to the room to give her condolences and say goodbye to him. If it weren’t for Rio Bravo, we wouldn’t have had as much time as we did with Chuey. And when I picked up his ashes, today, we were surprised that his ashes were in the most beautiful little urn, and a lovely note of condolence. We will continue to take our other dog Annie here, because we know they will always be the right people to be in care of our fur babies. 🐾❤️
