We had a wonderful 32 nights stay in this flat. Very clean and great location! Pure white towels and comfortable beds. Walking distance to US Capital and museums. The service team of the home sweet city was professional and efficient. Communication was great and check in instructions were very clear. I will choose it again for sure when I visit Washington DC next time. Highly recommended!

There is a lot to like about this getaway in the heart of Washington D.C. First, it's important to note that the property is just as described and the pictures represent the space well. We started the visit with 4 adults, before our daughter returned to college after the first weekend. I think the space was a little cramped for 4, but was perfect for the three of us. We generally made breakfast in the house, and there was a good set of provisions for cooking. That is you would definitely be able to make complete meals. The neighborhood is great. We stopped and talked to a few people walking dogs or kids. It was very nice, and had really great restaurants right around the corner. Make sure to get reservations for the Red Hen and check out Etabli for wine and light tapas-style small plates. We also did a lot of walking, including down to the Smithsonian museums. It was a bit of a walk, but easy to find our way. Overall, we really loved our week spent at this property, and would definitely return if we were back in the DC area.

This was a great and comfortable place to stay. We were all comfortable, the home was clean and felt like a home rather than an antiseptic hotel. We were easily able to get into DC and the mall for museums, out to Silver Spring to see friends, and I was able to run in Rock Creek Park nearby. Possibly the clincher is that the home has closed parking off the back alley - this reduced our stress about parking, made unpacking and packing easy, etc. I hope we will come back. We highly recommend this home.

We had a great stay at the Cap Hill Delight! After sight seeing all day it was nice to come 'home' to our English basement apartment. Lots of nice detailed decor with art on the walls and books on the bookshelf! You can pack light since there is a full size washer/dryer. Within 15-20 minutes of DCA! Oh!! I almost forgot the shower experience is awesome! Don't miss out!

My family and I had such a great time staying at Home Sweet City! The home was comfortable and safe for my husband and I along with our 4 month old. We stayed for a week and had absolutely no complaints. Communication with the hosts was super easy and fast. I definitely recommend!

This was a nice little apartment, perfect for our family of 4 to explore DC from. It was very clean and tidy. My only issue was the dryer does not seem to be venting properly; I had to halve every washed load in order to get the clothes dried. Otherwise, a perfect spot!

This Airbnb was very comfortable, clean, with all the amenities required. The location was ideal for getting around DC to sight see and the neighborhood was great! One negative is that being from California I am not used to such strict house rules. The house rules were supposed to protect the neighbors from any disturbance, but at 9:15 PM every night like clockwork the upstairs neighbor sounded like they had an Arthur Murray dance studio above us. We had sleep assists with us, so it wasn’t a big deal, only strange. I'd love to stay again on my next visit but the house rules aren't condusive for us.

Absolutely everything you could ever want! Terrific communication, the best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen, high end kitchen appliances and beds, and SUPER CLEAN! Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and within easy walking distance to the metro. Would recommend without hesitation and definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

This place was immaculate. Even better than pictured. Nice ceilings, skylights, fluffy bedding and towels. Extremely peaceful, worked while visiting the city. Quick bus ride to U street. Rock Creek Park was so beautiful and very close. Highly recommended. Very rejuvenating and professional accommodations. I've stayed in hotels that werent as clean. Check out Crown Bakery, delicious authentic Trini food.

We have stayed here multiple times and this apt makes our visits to Washington so enjoyable. The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking and the countertop is great for prep, Zoom calls, and other projects. Bed and bedrom are very comfortable and quiet. We love this cozy corner spot.

This was a really nice and comfortable apt . We loved the location, close to Noma Gallaudet Metro, Trader Joe's, and Indigo Resturant. The street felt very safe and it was a short walk to Red Bear Brewery, too. It was well furnished with everything we could have needed, and the kitchen worked out well for breakfasts and not to fancy of dinners. The seating was comfortable and the pillows were the best as well as the fluffy towels. A little non-slip strips in the shower would be recommended as it was a little slippery and maybe a couple of placemats to protect the table top are the only suggestions for improvement. We would love to return someday.

We had a delightful stay at Pristine Petworth Family Home in Washington DC. Home was clean and well appointed. We were able to find parking each day. Great eats within walking distance. Metro was a little far for the older folks in our group but overall, we'd stay again! Our transportation to downtown DC with Uber/Lyft was only slightly more than metro, each way for 6 of us.

This lower-level accomodation was small, but charming. Difficult to use bathroom sink: sink was small front-to-back, and spigot arched in from side, so it was awkward to gather water in cupped hands or spit into sink, which had to be done from the side over the spigot. The electric radiators both ran a couple of degrees above their setpoints, but that's easily adapted. Also, there must be a significant piping run from the water heater to the shower -- it would turn on warm, then cold, and then gradually warm up again. But then it was fine, after a minute. Also noted to host that the front door lock is very shaded, and requires added light (as from a cell phone) to find the keyhole after dark, or other demarcation. Rest of equipment just dandy, though the large square plates can't turn in the microwave. Also, a small warning sign "Do not sit on toilet lid" might be useful; the lid is fragile. Apartment was spotless and bed comfortable. An excellent bargain, and walking distance to museums, too!

I travel to DC regularly and this is my neighborhood of choice for more reasons that I can detail here. For over 10 years I have stayed at the same VRBO property, but it became unavailable. However, I believe I have found another "go to" spot in my preferred neighborhood. This property met all my must haves: in my neighborhood, clean, well appointed, and comfortable, But it went above and beyond. A few things I loved included the art work, the dimmable lights in all rooms (love, love, love!!!), and the fact that you had REAL wine glasses. Booking was straightforward and easy and my inquiries received very quick response. My only negative is that this property isn't available for my next visit to DC.

This place was as shown in the listing, very clean and well-equiped. The kitchen had everything we could need, and we completed several meals in the AirBnB. I also had to work some, and the unit even had a very nice set up to do so (external additional monitor, other connects, etc). Location-wise, the unit is conveniently located. My mom and I moved mostly by Uber, becuase it was more convinient given her age. In terms of sleeping arrangements, it worked well for two people, (my mom and I) as we shared the bed in the bedroom. I tried the sleeping couch in the living room the first night, and it was comfortable, but not too clear how to set the linnens on it. The trundle bed is good for a small / not too tall person.

My daughters and I had an excellent stay in our temporary Georgetown home. We arrived in the evening after a long day of travel and check-in was seamless- all communication prior to arrival left us without any questions and all we had to do was arrive! The home was not only clean, and very comfortable, but had a great style that added to our enjoyment. We were able to walk easily from the home to many restaurants, Georgetown University and M Street- much to my girls delight. Home Sweet City checked in with us during our stay to be sure we were comfortable -- I was very appreciative of this. All in all, we can't wait to return. Many thanks

We had a great stay at the house! The house is beautiful, comfy and in a perfect location in the heart of Georgetown. It is a great spot for exploring Washington, DC or hosting family/friends. Home Sweet City is a great company to rent with! The space was clean and well stocked. There was a minor maintenance issue that had to be fixed; however, Home Sweet City was very easy to work with, responded quickly to the problem, and made sure the repair was at a convenient time for me! If I am ever in the area again and looking to rent, Home Sweet City will be my first stop! I can not recommend enough!

We had a great stay at Home Sweet City in DC. Great location! It had everything we needed toiletries, cooking necessities, and an awesome Italian take out restaurant close by! There’s also a small grocery store for basics about a block away. About 2 block walk to metro/union station with more shops and food. Not too far walk from the Capital building and national mall. Beds were comfy and decor was nice. Kids slept on the sofa bed and was ok for them but maybe not as cozy for an adult. Like other reviews mentioned, you can hear people in above unit at times but really wasn’t an issue for us. We recommend it.

This DC retreat was simply amazing! It truly became our home away from home after busy days out sightseeing. The place was incredibly clean, organized, and spacious. The host was helpful and quick to get back to us when we had questions. On a side note, to sleep six, two people are ion a blow-up bed. For our trip this wasn’t an issue but I just wanted to note that in case it may be for your group. Its location is perfect. The neighborhood is picturesque. A five minute walk to the Mt Vernon metro that easily connects everywhere. We were also close to some great restaurants. We would stay here again.

This is a lovely place in great proximity so much Georgetown has to offer as well as close access to public transportation. The home is very clean and well maintained with all the amenities. For our 1st ever Air B and B experience, this was great! The information on the website helped us choose an easy-to-get-around, safe place. The inside was clean and very close to the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the shower was divine especially after a long day of walking! Thank you for your quick response with the parking (which was a little confusing), but once we figured it out it helped.

Very nice, cozy , stylish clean house. It is unusual in US to have such a good cleaning team. The house is equipped with all necessary appliances and equipment to have a full life as at home. All the furniture is very comfy . Had a very unpleasant circumstances , my 5 month old baby had a fever with 102,5 temperature . Asked an owner to extend our stay for 2-3 hours . But got rejected , because next guest are coming . Found out that forgot a parking pass in the rental car , and had to get it back , because the fine is 500$ . Because of it found out that there was no one in the house at 5 pm , and the next guests are coming is the evening . Felt so sorry for my baby , that was in the airport 5 hours in advance because the owner had next guest coming, as it turned out in the evening. Rest was very nice.

Fantastic home with entertaining Presidential artwork and great location. We walked to local restaurants and were a 10 to 15 minute drive to the Smithsonian and National Mall. The place had everything we needed and was great to relax in each evening. All bedrooms were upstairs and living room, kitchen, long dining table and half bath downstairs. Bedrooms were really comfortable with high end bedding and great light through hallway and bathroom skylights. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect as a hub for exploring the city! We loved the capital city bike rentals with 2 kiosks only a couple of blocks away. The apartment was even nicer than the pictures, and the A/C and washer/dryer were very welcomed after a hot humid day.

Nice private apartment. Quiet neighborhood. Clean, newly and tastefully decorated, well appointed kitchen, comfortable furnishings. You do need to be able to climb the metal outside staircase to reach this top floor flat.

We loved this apartment! It is so close to the Hill. Our daughter was finishing an internship on the Hill and stayed with us a few days before she finished. It was an easy 15 minute walk for her to get to her office. The property is exactly as described. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was nice. The kitchen is modern, and there’s a huge tv in the living room. The owners are great communicators and they will send you a guide once you book, outlining expectations and services. Parking is on the street, but the owners will guide you through the process of getting a permit, and we never had a problem finding a spot. There is a great place for morning coffee not too far away (Wine and Butter Café). Always a shoutout to local businesses. The one drawback is that the wifi didn’t reach the front bedroom, but that was a minor inconvenience. The people who complain about the upstairs neighbors walking, have you never lived in an apartment? We absolutely loved this place, and if we are in DC again, we hope we can stay here.

We had a great time at the Urban Carriage. The studio is very cute and comfortable, well stocked too. I would have appreciate a cleaner bathroom: the decorative wall mouldings were dusty and had hair, the sink too. Nevertheless, it is a great place to stay. The informations we received to get there were clear and easy.

Located in a great neighborhood conveniently located near shops and restaurants, this lovely apartment is within walking distance of many museums, monuments and other places to visit. The apartment is clean, comfortable, has loads of storage space, and is very tastefully decorated. A bricked courtyard and patio is available to guests for relaxing outdoors in nice weather. The host was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we might have had. We will definitely rent here again!

This is a beautiful house! Very clean, airy, nice modern furnishings, lots of quality equipment and amenities. The beds are so comfortable! The staff are very responsive and helpful. It's on a nice quiet side street with parking on the street. We didn't explore the area, but we did make use of the Takoma Metro station, which is less than a mile from the house.

On a get-away road trip with my two college-age sons, we stopped in DC for two nights in order to have a full day of walking the national mall to see the government buildings and monuments. In order to have more room than a hotel would give us, we rented this place via Airbnb. The place was Great! Very convenient location in a nice neighborhood close to the Capital building. The apartment was clean, decorated nicely, and comfortable. The beds (and sofa bed) were very comfortable. Not knowing the neighborhood well ahead of time, I was a bit nervous about having to park on the street (or in a lot a few blocks away), but the block was well lit and seemed safe and since we were there over the weekend, there were no on-street parking restrictions during the day and we were easily able to find open spots right in front of the apartment. If we go back to DC on another trip, I'll probably try to rent this same apartment again :)

We had a terrific experience at the apartment in Dupont Circle. The apartment was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. There were wonderful restaurants within walking distance, and a quick hop on the Metro or Uber took us anywhere in the District. A special thanks to Jeff, the apartment owner, who took the time to meet us and point out some great places to explore nearby. The Phillips Collection art museum was a highlight.

Had a great experience at Cue the Capitol! Brought my 5 boys to explore DC for a few days and we were very comfortable in this basement apartment located in a convenient location. Nice neighborhood walking distance to the park, restaurants, and the metro. Pool table offered great entertainment for my boys. Very clean and the well supplied kitchen made it easy to cook in for the six of us. I would definitely book again.

Great location and awesome home away from home! The home was clean and very welcoming. We were in town for a Howard University graduation and it was the close enough to walk or Uber. Close to Metro and a couple blocks to grocery store. We even walked to Chinatown. You will feel safe and secure and ready to book again the next time you’re in town.

Well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Connected TVs for just about anything except live television. Can't watch live TV! (Perhaps just a pet peeve of mine.) The street light in the alley streams light into the living room so if you sleep on the couch you won't be left in the dark. The Keurig combo coffee unit was a nice surprise. We'll be back.

Great communication, very responsive. The residence we stayed in was super clean and comfortable; we had everything we needed and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. We booked a multi-week reservation and ended up extending our stay a few extra days so we could enjoy another weekend in the District. The Logan Circle location was amazing—everything we needed was in walking distance and we had an opportunity to explore DC from a central "hub." It really did feel like home, had excellent amenities, a lot of inside space, a quiet neighborhood, and very clean. Also, the Home Sweet City team was responsive to any requests or questions. I cannot say enough good things about Home Sweet City. In the three weeks I used the airbnb property they were so responsive to every need. As a matter of fact, even before I moved in they were very forthcoming with valuable Info, detailed instructions such that moving in was a seamless experience. The home was spotlessly clean, all essentials were in place so my family and I could settle into our “work-cation”, and hit the ground running. Kirsten & Karen were always quick to respond. Thanks for making our stay comfortable, productive and peaceful. I was sad to leave but will be back again soon. I highly recommend them. Thanks!!

This is an excellent property, conveniently located in the heart of D.C. and very spacious. In addition, the place looked just like the photos except for one thing, it is even LARGER in-person! Great apartment in a terrific, safe neighborhood on a quiet side street in DC. Stayed for 3 weeks and thoroughly satisfied with our stay. Owners were very responsive. Ample street parking. Great park for kids (Lafayette) only blocks away. WiFi handled 3 kids on virtual school and one parent working at home without any issues. As we were staying for extended period, the only minor drawback was fridge size was small, but we managed and overall we would highly recommend.

This was a gem of a place! Terrific location, in the heart of a district with numerous shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hosts were very responsive and the place was clean. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the parking. The street was packed most of the time we were there, although we were always able find a place to park no more than 2 blocks away. So not a huge issue. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend Home Sweet City!

Location? Won’t find much better in DC. Super convenient including CVS right on the corner, and great food in easy walking distance. I even found parking pretty easy and that’s a bonus. Landlord provides an invaluable visitor pass for parking. Decor? Darling! Well though out, fun without being silly. You will hear the upstairs tenant sometimes. Bring some foam ear plugs and your own pillows (the on-site ones are a bit firm and flat) if you’re like me, a persnickety and very light sleeper. Oh! But the sheets? SO nice! Anyone who’s ever stayed in an place where it’s obvious they went cheap on decor and linens will be so happy here. I had no trouble getting in, always felt safe, and Home Sweet City is always very responsive and helpful.

This place was perfect for our needs! The rooms were clean, good size and the beds were cozy. Everything was just right for our party of 4. The location is so great! You feel like a local! It was so nice being so close to the capitol. We didn't need our car and parked it in a nearby garage for three days. We rented the convenient Capital bikes for a day and rode them to all the memorials and sites. It was a perfect way to see the city. Since all restaurants were closed, we were happy to have our own kitchen. We'll have to come back when the museums are open and when we do, we'd love to stay here again.

Love the Industrial Chic apartment in Bloomingdale! The kitchen/living area is much more open and spacious than the photo suggests, and the entire apartment gets wonderful natural light. We really loved the aesthetic of this space. All the little touches from drawer handles to doors made for a lovely stay. Our teenager appreciated the great wi-fi and our toddler loved having room to play. This place is in a perfect location! In less than five minutes you can get gourmet pizza, great coffee, and a host of other cuisine/restaurants. On top of that, the neighborhood is just beautiful for a stroll and also very close to DC highlights. Finally, the customer service with Home Sweet City is just exceptional. This is our second stay with them and we’ll definitely be back.

We just completed a month long stay at 1714 5th St. NW, a 2 BR 2 BA place managed by Home Sweet City LLC, and it was perfect! Literally the best experience we have had on airbnb over many years. For starters, the packet and communication we received from HSC in advance was clear, detailed, well-organized and thoughtful. Everything we needed to know (and would want to know) about the area and the space - not just restaurants and tourist spots (which are also helpful), but details you need for living like parking, trash service, groceries, CVS, etc. - were efficiently conveyed, and Lara immediately responded to our follow up questions so we knew exactly how to plan. When we arrived, the check in was seamless - exactly as step-by-step described - and the space was magnificent! Absolutely spotless, well-lit and cheerily decorated, it was immediately welcoming. The space works exceptionally well for long term stays, though I'd be happy for a few days too. There are a couple of outdoor areas that worked for hosting on Thanksgiving(!) or hanging out on nice days if you want a 5th street sit, a large smart tv in the main area with all kinds of options that tie to excellent wifi, and the bedroom spaces are versatile, one with a private bath, one with a trundle bed and a convertible couch out front. Beyond the basics, however, it was smaller details - multiple sets of coffee cups (one decorative, one day to day for different coffee experiences), interesting coffee table books and wallpaper, generous full-size umbrellas, etc. - that made the place feel less like a place to stay, and more like home. It feels a little strange to point out, but the fact that everything (wifi, television, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, etc.) worked, the knives were all sharp, there were plenty of good quality towels and so on are not givens on airbnb - in composite, they make the place pleasurable to stay in and are evidence of terrific, professional management. All in, a terrific experience. Thanks Home Sweet City!

We stayed at the property to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. What a fabulous unit. The location is great, right in the heart of Capitol Hill. The unit is totally rehabbed in a quality manner with brand new appliances, volumes of hot water, comfortable bed and bedding and a more than capable HVAC. Necessities such as shampoo, body wash, paper towels, TP, dishwashing soap are plentiful and did not restocking. It is a very quiet neighborhood with offstreet parking. We will definitely rent this unit again.

I came into contact with the Home Sweet Team through AirBNB - they were managing a unit I rented. I've had mixed experiences with third-parties managing AirBNBs I've rented but they were excellent - always prompt with responses and genuinely working to come up with helpful solutions. In my situation, I had a short-notice military move that drove me out of the AirBNB I was staying in earlier than expected. Comfy place to hang out in with all the amenities of home. The bed was a little harder than my mattress at home but I slept well. Fluffy towels and a great shower with good water pressure. Loved the outside patio in back. Directions and communications with Michelle were fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice house and well distributed with an excellent location. The rooms with good size, good beds and pillows, the bathroom complete and very clean. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, next to it is the washer and dryer in excellent condition. The small but super complete and functional kitchen. The furniture and decoration are the same as the photos, well maintained and cared for. The sector is very quiet and good, there is a store in the corner where you can buy food to start the adventure. It is very close to everything touristic and you can walk, bike or drive. Parking is for a compact car (a large car does not fit). The one of us entered just. The only thing that is not the same as the photos is the garden that was overgrown and the garage that was very messy and dirty. But in general everything was excellent, the communication with the manager was excellent. Totally recommended.
