We walked from the parking deck to the ship in Tampa. It was pouring the rain, and it isn't covered. It's a little far. If we go back to this port, I would definitely pay extra for the valet parking. Make sure to write or take a picture of the deck and the car lot # so you can find your car quicker. We took The Enchantment of the Seas to Costa Maya, Cozumel, and the Cayman Islands. The food is pretty good. Stuff to do and the pools are good. I didn't care much for the shows. Magic guy and the comedy guy was okay though. Maybe the shows are for and older crowd? I do like the Carnival shows better. We did have a lot of fog the last day that got us 12 hours late to the port. I appreciate the safety they took and feeding us until we got off. Embarking was good. Disembarking was chaos, but that might of been because of the fog and being late. Overall, is was a good ship. In Cozumel, we just stayed at a resort for day with unlimited drinking and food. In Costa Maya, we did the Mayan Temples. In the Cayman Islands, my husband took a snorkeling trip. I just walked in town.

For the price, this is very good cruise vacation value. Consider mostly all are vaccinated and masks are *almost* universally worn indoors. Outside not needed, of course. The food, entertainment, ports, and beauty of enjoying gorgeous sunrise and sunsets make this a winner for me. Not for everyone, of course.

Pros - Check in was quick; Buffet options were good but volume of desert options dwindled the last 2 nights
Cons - Possible food poisoning from cheesecake in main dining on the 28th; waiting for dessert in main dining is way too slow, plus we are there to eat not be entertained by the guy with the mic; Elevators are very slow; Bed was like a rock;
Buffet closes by 9 then you have to go to another location and wait in line just to get a cookie, speaking of which they're needed to be a variety of cookies each night my husband was disappointed that he couldn't have chocolate chip cookies other than the very first night; the ice cream machine is available between lunch and dinner but is blocked off so you have to walk around barriers to get to it between lunch and dinner (move it and snacks to the begininning of the windjammer); too many kids running around unsupervised (yes its the holidays but where is the game room (pool table, air hockey,etc) for adults and why is the adult only pool closed by 8:00 p.m.); had no desire to sit in hard wooden chairs in the pub; last but not least why isn't there a lounge chair or 2 for each cabin with a balcony, especially the cabins with extended balconies?
These are just my opinions, but 3 stars seems more than fair for the food poisoning alone.

We took a Cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas and it was Great!! The ship wasn't that big and kind of reminded me of the "Love Boat." We had a group of 9 and everyone thought it is definitely something they would do again. We had an awesome stateroom attendant, Iwayan. He was on point. The food was very good and the service was great as far as cleanliness - very! The crew was in tip top shape on every aspect. We had dinner every night in the Main dining room. Our waiter Zo and his Assistant Dorian were outstanding and the food was good. I loved the whole experience. Check out some pictures I posted They have live music daily around the ship. One group that stands out in particular is a 3 piece band and singer by the pool. Amazing talent. It was Great! I can go on and on. Check out the website Royal Caribbean International. This was my first cruise and will be doing others for sure. Maybe next we could have a larger group. Also the price is very fair. I should have done this sooner!

Just got off the explorer of the seas a week or so ago. The cruise itself was great. I’m not much for shows but the shows we did see were moderately entertaining. The pools were clean and well maintained as were the hot tubs. Accessibility was largely good - only lacking the ability for my wheelchair bound brother and grandfather to access the helipad. My grandfather didn’t care but my brother was put out.
The food was 9 out of 10 almost every night. When snapper was the fish of the day it was the best snapper I’ve ever eaten. The next night the snapper was a menu item. It was terribly dry and over cooked. Like shoe leather. There is no reason for the food to be in that state. It was almost like an apprentice line cook was running the pass for the night. Terribly disappointed that second night. The first night was hands down the best snapper I’ve ever had. The second night was hands down the worst. They brought me a fantastic steak to replace the shoe leather fish and I was quite happy with it.
Chops - the premium steak restaurant is worth every penny.
Ship was well laid-out and easy to navigate.
Despite their being a medical emergency that had us return to Mexico we arrived at all destinations on time and were happy with what we encountered.
Leading up to the cruise we had some issues however.
Firstly we had a large group (15) traveling together. In order to sit together at dinner we had to each call in, first give them our reservation, then the reservation numbers of the people we wanted to sit with.
So, for 5 rooms, I had to call and give them my reservation numbers and the other four reservation numbers of my family. Then they each had to do the same.
Which is all fine and good if it had worked. But it didn’t. I had to call in three times to ensure one reservation number was linked. The first two individuals were clearly from another country and struggling with their understanding of English. The third person was an English native speaker and solved our issue.
Secondly they said on the phone they could seat 15 of us together at the same table. However in practice what we had was a table for 6 and a table for 9 kinda near each other.
Every night we had 14 seats for 15 people.
The last night The maiter’d brought the tables together and connected them with a small table and made sure we had 15 seats. This meant a lot to my parents who were torn trying to eat with so many people.
Thirdly the cruise was for our parents 60th birthdays and 40th anniversaries. We asked them to do something on Tuesday and Thursday - one for each - but didn’t verify it. Apparently it was never entered into our records... so we ended up having to ask the waitstaff who were fantastic and went above and beyond my expectations.
We had 6 kids with us under 14 and had no unexpected charges. At check in they ask how you want each person to pay for what they charge and for the kids - do not let them charge is an option.
All in all though it was a fantastic time and trip. We will be going again and are already planning our next one. For a group of 9. 15 is way too many people to keep everyone happy.

Went on a 4-day cruise to Cozumel and it was my first cruise. It was an amazing time- lots of friendly staff, lots of fun activities, and great food! Our waiters were the greatest and we had so much fun getting to know them. Everything was very clean and always plenty to do. I especially appreciated the serve-yourself soft serve machine (this was the only place I had to wait in line). Everything was timely and our room was always taken care of for us whenever we came back between an activity or meal. We were on brilliance of the seas. The staff was so friendly and we loved Royal Caribbean!

The embarkation process is fast and efficient. Staff were friendly. We've sailed with Brilliance of the Seas. The ship is stunning! Not too massive, but definately big, in their mid-class ships. Food onboard was EXCELLENT. Our only "complaint" is that our 4 nights were way too short as we were not ready to leave our Brilliance experience. From booking to disembarkation. It comes highly recommended.
We booked a balcony cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed (including breathtaking sunrises and sunsets 😊).
This was our 5th cruise, (our 1st with Royal Caribbean) but by far our favourite. Did I mention the self-help ice cream machine in Windjammer? Unlike other ships all dining areas are inside. The main dining hall has 2 floors and a beautiful staircase.
Elevators overlook the ocean and others overlook the entertainment area inside. All elevators are transparent making for a view even if you go up 1 floor.
So much happening on this cruise, everybody will be entertained.
We appreciated that drinks packages could be pre-bought and are bottomless. Our bottomless mugs were already in our room at embarkation.

Overall it was an exquisite experience from start to finish.From the minute we boarded the ship, till the time we were back on shore in Fort Lauderdale, the staff was wonderful, patient and extremely helpful.Everything from Soup To Nuts and everything in between was wonderful. The decor the food,all accommodations even down to the choices of wine and beverages, was simply wonderful.We felt at home even though we were hundreds of miles away from where we came from.Every member of the staff from the captain down to the busboy, let us know that we were theit priority and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. I read in some of the reviews that some said the ship was a little on the old side. but I say that in my estimation,this is one of the best cruise lines that I have ever been on it even though this was my first real cruise vacation. I read and researched extensively about other ships and cruise lines but to me this one is second to none .

We enjoyed a 5 night cruise to Cozumel & Costa Maya. For our excursions we went snorkeling followed by an amazing massage on the beach. We also took a wild ride to the Jade Caverns! The cruise ship was loaded with entertainment including the casino, trivia, live music, mini golf, ping pong and pools. Absolutely incredible experience and can’t wait for our next cruise.

Well organized. The terminal staff knows how to keep the crowds moving. There is very little wait times for America passengers. None US citizens; strongly recommend getting there two hours early for customs and boarding.

Nice location close to hotels, restaurants, bars And plenty of other attractions. The aquarium is next door also. Very easy place to arrive a day ahead and set up for your cruise. Everything is easy walking distance.

Wow!!! Two years planning this family vacation of 15. Cancelled twice by COVID and I feel exhausted before my sail date. I have spent over 10 hours of customer service call to fix things done incorrectly by the reps I thank Daniel Arabelo For all his help in fixing the mess and making it work at the end. The ship was very clean, Stewart was awesome. Entertainment was fun. Food service was terrible. Dining room extremely slow. Wind jammer food was blan and just thrown together. Nothing was really appetizing. Food was cold at times. I lived on breakfast and the park Cafe most times. I was extremely disappointed after just sailing on the oasis in November. Christmas cruise was under staffed and under experienced, It showed.

Looking for a short vacation? Take a cruise from Tampa. Definitely worth the money. For around $600.00 per couple, where can you find a nice room, 3 meals a day and entertainment? Lots to do on a cruise ship, relax by the pool with an adult beverage, funny game shows, gambling or catch a fantastic show in the theater.
Stopping at foreign ports to explore.
For a little more money, you can get your stateroom upgraded to a balcony and eat at speciality restaurants.

We sailed out of here on Saturday afternoon and returned on Thursday morning. Checking in was fairly straightforward and all of the staff were extremely helpful.
On our return, we chose to have the ship's staff transfer our luggage to the terminal for us rather than lug it ourselves. We were lucky to have a late luggage call which allowed us to enjoy one final breakfast aboard ship.
Once we claimed our luggage, we hired a porter to transport it through customs. I highly recommend using a porter, because we breezed through customs.
My only complaint was that there is minimal seating outside of the terminal. We cleared customs so quickly that we were finished about 45 minutes before our transportation was scheduled to arrive. Luckily for us, our transportation arrived early. Otherwise, we would have been standing around for a half hour or more.

Friendly staff and a good atmosphere! We couldn't find our bags for a while once we got back but several workers were prompt in helping us out. The cruise ship itself, Brilliance of the Seas, was fantastic. Our room was nice and we loved going to all of the different performances and activities.

The customer service was above and beyond. The head chef, waiter and asst were so attentive and intuitive. Items appeared before we could ask and when they sensed we weren't happy with the selections they went to other parts of the ship to make us happy. I especially loved when they found a flourless chocolate lava cake for me. Best Cruise line ever!!!!

Was easy. No long lines to get onto the ship. When you get off the ship make sure you get a porter to help with your luggage. It allows you to skip the long custom line. It is well worth the tip you pay to the porter especially if you have to catch a flight. For secure parking the cost is 80 bucks for 5 days. Parking across the street was 40 bucks do not know about the security. Around the area could use a good cleaning and landscape.

Very inviting and bright terminal that makes going on the cruise a very enjoyable. There are people outside the terminal looking to get tips for carrying your bags. If you are going to carry your own bag, you have to tell them to not touch it or else they will by default and then ask you to fork over money.

The cruise was great and welcoming. The only think that was upsetting alot is the fact they don't celebrate Christmas. They can't even decorate the tables to make them look nice for Christmas. We asked management and they had no idea why. That was a huge disappoint.

The terminal itself is fine. The signage for parking and confusing street signs is another story. The city needs to do a better job of directing visitors where to go. These terminals bring a lot of revenue to the city, spending a few dollars to improve the area around them wouldn't hurt.

Our cruises get better each time we take one out of Tampa. RCI hires staff who are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Each person made us feel valuable & special. The people are the reason for choosing RCI. Second is the food.
For this cruise (2/15-22/2020), Rhapsody of the Seas provided several venues for delicious food choices. If we wanted to eat healthy or if we wanted to indulge in not so healthy options, Windjammer had it all. Everything looked good and tasted better. The staff circulated, getting beverages, utensils, or whatever was requested of them. Smiles started at the entrance (where we also got hand sanitizer), continued throughout the meal, and didn't end as we exited, getting more hand sanitizer. When we were in Edelweiss, Sheilla greeted us at the entrance, making sure we got our table for personalized service from Wai & Sanjeev each night for dinner.
Entertainment was not Broadway similar like the Quantum classes, but the comedians were exceptional (Rondell Sheridan & Marcus Monroe - who also juggled!) & the orchestra & singers/dancers might one day be on Broadway. Only a couple of shows put me to sleep due to slow, hypnotic songs or dancing. That's just me.
We enjoyed the ports, one leisure honey & Tequila excursion, and just walking around when docked or around the ship. RCI knows how to deliver!

5 day cruise review;
Dining , food and shop stewards 5 star. The festivities are scarce . I am a Activity Director and they need to step it up. The karaoke was quite short and the woman kept telling us she skipped her 15 min break. So if this is your biggest crowd why wouldn't you let it last? Grant you, I don't sing but come on it's free entertainment. The comedian was humorous but the adult show is at 11pm and nothing going on to keep you awake until then. So you either eat, sleep, lay by pool or gambling?all self directed activities. Come on guys let's entertain people that's what a cruise is for. Funny thing, I had someone go on the weekend cruise right after me and said the same exact thing.

We used this terminal in early April 2017 to begin our cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. In general, this terminal is laid out very well and moves people along efficiently to clear all the necessary security checks before boarding the ship.
The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the signage at the entrance is a bit lacking. Not real clear where to start the whole process. Otherwise, as positive an experience as can be something which involves the TSA.

Very confusing when you arrive. Check in line very long. Went to international check in because of Malaysia passport and got through quickly. Lady doing check in was great. Staff on ship are great.

Our stateroom staff, Sherwin was fabulous. The port of calls were Key West and Cuba - Cuba was awesome. The entertainment was typical of cruises: trivia, karaoke, piano bar, pool deck movies. I was traveling with a group of 12 and there is a common complaint
- drinks and food. If you are vegan, you are in trouble... not a lot of variety. After 10:30 PM not a lot of options for anyone. Below is the review left during a portion of the Royal Caribbean survey:
Getting back to the food and dining. The purpose of the cruise is food, fun and drinks on a ship. The fact that you have the ability to make "johnny rockets" quality food but don't throughout the cruise is absurd. Carnival has Guy Fieri and it's part of general dining. I get charging extra for steak and lobster (which used to be free), but not for burgers. Plus, the available options at the deli on the last day were pitiful. It was a random culmination of leftovers: chili with beans, stale taco shells, nacho cheese and pastrami. The last night on the ship I tried to make due and break stale taco shells to make chips with cheese sauce. 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM there should be more options. And who doesn't want a late night bowl of icecream, especially with the movie on deck. Oh, and now we charge for popcorn? Now that I'm typing all of this... I'll probably just recommend Carnival. They charge more for pictures and drink packages, but they dont water down drinks. I feel like I spent significantly more are Royal Caribbean and received less. I will be coping and pasting this review to Google and Yelp.

One of the easier ports to get in and out of, depending on where you've been of course. Sometimes US immigration and customs can take a while, but the terminal has always been efficient when getting folks on and off the ship.

Recently took a cruise to Key West and Havana, Cuba. The first was just as we remembered it. The second was interesting, to say the least. Take a beautiful place full of classic Spanish architecture and let it decay in a communist regime... That's Havana today. The classic American cars look great, even those with Russian/Soviet motors...
