FANTASTIC Views and a real commitment to preserve the past for the future. The free parking and entrance to the park and observation tower really help to have a day of fun at little cost. Take the 90 steps up the observation tower for a bird's eye view of the area (an elevator is available for those unable to climb) there is excellent historical marker information to walk and enjoy the past. With all walkways in concrete strollers for kids are easy on mom and dad. Take the dog on the trails (on a leash) and walk about a mile aline the river to an Excellent urban dog park at Fort Sod. Plan on over 2 hours minimum to relax and see the namesake of the great city of Sioux Falls.

The visitor center is worth it to check out while at Falls Park. They have a nice little gift shop and climbing up the tower for a photo is a good time. There are about 80 steps to climb and an elevator if needed for those who can't make that climb. The trip to the top is free and the pictures you can get out of it is great!

The last time I visited this park, this tower did not exist, so kudos to whomever decided to build it. The views are spectacular and give you a tremendous understanding of the entirety of the Falls. Warning: when the falls spew water, it can be rather Sulphur-smelling. Walk through the entire park to get a sense of the history of how they helped create an entire city. Also, parking is ample!

My old stomping grounds. I never tire of seeing my hometown namesake. I love the unbridled flow of the churning water and the lush foliage. The picturesque old railroad bridge adds character to the historic significance of the development of the city of Sioux Falls.

I'm basing this rating on the park rather than the visitors center, which is pretty much just a souvenir shop with restrooms. The park; however, is a real gem and definitely worth seeing.

This is a pretty good visitor center. The staff here are most certainly helpful, as well as quite knowledgeable. In addition, there is shift shop with a plethora of trinkets and souvenirs for purchase. The best aspect of this visitor center, however, is the observation tower which offers one a commanding view of the falls, as well as the surrounding area. Be aware, it can get crowded up there. Parking was a bit of an issue. A good stop of in the area.

Stopped by during a visit from Minneapolis for the Sioux Falls marathon, and this place is stunning. I would definitely recommend climbing the observation tower to get the best view of the falls!

Falls Park Visitor Information Center and observation tower. This is where you can go to pick up gifts and climb the multi story observation tower to get a great view of the entire park. The tower has an outside viewing area. There are also bathrooms on the West side of the building near the parking lot.

Great place to take a walk and see the falls. Plenty of history to read about on the way by. They have a nice little place to grab some food. Part of this was under contruction while we we're here. Looks like they are adding more walking trails. One part of the trail you can stand at and get some spray from the falls, this feels great on a hot day! All in all, we would definitely visit again.

Stopped here for a couple of hours on our way back from Mount Rushmore. The falls are a sight to behold and a great place to take pictures.

Fun fact: there are 82 steps to the top of the observation tower, which has a great view of downtown Sioux Falls and the whole Falls Park. Those steps will also lead you to a high and breezy spot, good for cooling down in the summer heat. Try and get a view from the shade in the afternoon to see the expanse of trees covering Sioux Falls.

The Falls Park Visitor Information center was very well maintained, and best of all had a large tower you can go into for free! The tower is about 7 stories tall and gives out a 360-degree view of the surrounding park area. There is an elevator in the center of the tower for those who do not wish to climb the stairs. I’d highly recommend going to the top of the tower after adventuring around Falls Park. It’s a great view!

Very nice park! Plenty of opportunities for photos of the falls. I liked the view from the observation tower. It will be even better when they finish construction of the amphitheater. Be careful on the rocks and have a great time!

This is a FANTASTIC visitors center! The observation deck up top is open now, even during Covid, and the gift shop is small but has GREAT prices! Adult t-shirts are only 10.99. Can't beat that!

What an unexpected gem in Sioux Falls SD, the center of town was a beautiful waterfall. Spent a good part of the day wandering around the falls, it was fantastic from every angle. Get off the highway and enjoy a relaxing time, you'll have a good little adventure for a few hours. We did.

This is an excellent visitor center. The ladies working there are very helpful and knowledgeable. The visitor center has lots of information and a well stocked gift shop. There is a tower where one can see the entire park plus some of the surrounding sights. This place is a definite stop if you’re in the area.

Public park in Sioux Fall, spacious, very quiet, cafeteria has ample parking, it has no cost, it has a river, but it is somewhat polluted, and ancient vestiges of various eras, several viewpoints, and, as an extra, planes pass through there.

A park right next to the falls. It has a viewpoint to see the falls, it has a lot of parking and you can walk around or ride a bicycle. It is a Pet-friendly public park When we visited it in the month of August, little water fell.
