Awesome tour! Chef Eric was a great tour guide. He made great use of our time, between sharing history, his culinary experience, and chatting it up with our group. We had 12 people on the tour and it was a perfect size to navigate the market. I must also say that we got super lucky that the other folks on our tour were fun and friendly. Nothing like grouchy, arrogant, and disengaged people killing the vibe. Chef left enough time at the end to answer questions, gave us excellent recommendations and overall a great welcome to Seattle.

Great tour from an energetic and knowledgeable tour guide (Chef John) of the pikes place market. Explored all areas of the market well beyond the fish market, learned a lot about the history of the area, and got to taste a number of delicious foods throughout. Would recommend as it’s a great way to see a different side to the market and get some phenomenal food.
Karey McMahon-Stoltz
Chef Eric delighted us with a fantastically curated tour filled with bites from the Seattle staples (like Beecher's and Chukkar Cherries) to many smaller vendors. He even added a few extra surprises. Adding to the overall enjoyment were Eric's stories, historical details, and culinary insights.
Go Do This Tour!

My husband and I went on the Pike Place Market food tour with Sylus and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful, and had lots of great information about the market and its history. We did 9 different tastings, which were plentiful and not skimpy at all. All the tasting were scrumptious with a few of them being some of our favorites, enough to go back to those establishments later and get more!

My college group and I had our food tour today with Chef Eric and it was so much fun! As a first time visit to Seattle, I loved learning about the history of the area and getting the opportunity to try local foods. I appreciated Chef Eric’s love of his community and the small businesses in Pike Place. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you come to visit the city!

Great amazing tour!!! Definitely highly recommend Eric (Team Eric lol) and this Eat Seattle tour. Had a fabulous time learning about the history of the Pike Place Market, Seattle ports, farmers markets and of course, getting to eat the VERY delicious samples. Couldn't recommend enough.
Sabrina Hull
Amazing tour!! I would 100% recommend going on the chef led eat Seattle tour. We had Chef Eric who led our tour and he was not only super knowledgeable but was a lot of fun and personable. The tour has a great variety of locations. We got a great snapshot of local staples at Pike Place and left satisfied.

It was a delightful tour! The guide was full of the knowledge of the history behind the Pikes Market and the food perspective! I have visited the market many times, and today is the first time to have had so much fun.
Amy Boyd
Chef Sean was very knowledgeable and personable. He made the tour a culinary adventure. I appreciated the history found that it added to the overall experience. And the tacos from Maiz were the best I’ve ever had!

Yes! Obviously you're going to a touristy are but what a perfect way to explore. Tons of food ( all delicious) lots of history and so much fun. Moved to Seattle few months ago and loved being tourist! Liz was our guide and she crushed it. Also brace yourself for the truffle queen, you'll definitely be leaving with some goodies

We loved the tour. It was a great place to get to know the market and try a lot of different food. Chef Sylus made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the food the entire time. He did a great job explaining different facts about the food itself and the shop we were in.
Sarah Proctor
Brenden was charming, knowledgeable, entertaining, and so empathetic which made this tour even more enjoyable. The stops we took, the food we enjoyed, and the sites we saw were spectacular and a perfect introduction to the area! So glad I signed up!!

Do it! We usually do one walking tour whenever we come to Seattle and this may have been the best. Chef Sylas is so engaging and clearly knows his stuff.
We had a great group and we hit so many places and had some of the best tastings of key Pike Place staples. He sprinkled the entire afternoon with interesting facts and trivia and really allowed us to experience the food from a chef’s perspective.
Be prepared to walk and wear comfy shoes. We’ll worth every penny plus you get discounts at a whack of great places with the QR code from Sylas. Bring cash so you can tip him - he earns every penny of it.

This was a delightful and exceptionally delicious tour. Chef Eric was very knowledgeable about the food and history of Pike Place Market as well as Seattle. I would love to do it again the next time we're in town.

Chef John was amazing! Not only was he very informative and knowledgeable but so funny! He made the tour fly by. We learned so much AND got to sample amazing food. If you can request Chef John he is THE BEST!!

Great experience! I last visited Pike Place Market back in 2018 and did not do a tour at that time. I’m so happy i booked a tour this time around! My Mom and I had a great time during our tour led by Chef Sean. He was full of knowledge about the history of the market, the vendors, and their specialties. I think this food tour was a great way to sample the different types of foods/drinks offered at the Market. Our bellies were full by the end of the tour and we were so happy with everything.
Ed Bautista
We thoroughly enjoyed the Chef’s Tour of Pike Place Market. Chef Silas, our guide for the two-hour tour was great. He provided cool information, secret tips and was engaging with the group.
We enjoyed the small numbers in this tour.
The samples were all good and the stops chosen were a good mix of different foods, known spots, and locations in the market.
As for the samples, it definitely filled us up by the end of the tour.
Marynoelyn Jacob-Oviatt
We had an amazing experience on this tour with Eric! The amount of information Eric shared was incredible! It was the perfect combination of history, cooking tips, and market/shopping insight. Eric was extremely engaging and helpful and truly made this an experience we’ll never forget. We did the 10:30am tour and I would definitely recommend a tour during this time as the market gets super packed later in the day. The size of the group was perfect, exactly 10 people made it feel intimate and VIP. The variety of food we got to taste was surprising! We had so much fun and ate so much! We can’t recommend this tour enough and look forward to booking future tours with this company!

I found Eric’s chef tour of Pike Place Market through Airbnb Experiences, and Eric’s tour gave me the best possible experience navigating through the market. Complete with enough history of the various key locations of the tour, combined with his chef knowledge, I gained a greater appreciation for the process it takes to create the food, and a nice range of different foods to tantalize and expose our group to the hidden gems in the market. I would highly recommend this tour to those who don’t know how to approach this location, and what to do when here. It also felt very exclusive, with Eric having the hookups with each restaurant and allowing us to skip lines to taste the food. #TeamEric all the way!

Wanted to do a tour at Pikes Market and had researched different touring companies. Eat Seattle tours caught my interest with such positive reviews and decided to go with them. Our tour guide Chef John was fantastic 👏👏👏 with our group he answer all questions and provided local knowledge about the history of the market and background that is often unknown.
With so many different restaurants and options Pikes Market can be overwhelming. Chef John took our group of 10 through the market and navigated like a pro 🙌.
We visited 10 different food and restaurant places. All from pizza, tacos, cheese penne and cheese curds, chowder, tea, chocolate cherries, yogurt, lumpia and mango juice, smoked salmon jerky, and hot honey. Everything was DELICIOUS and local.
Chef John 👨🍳 thank you for taking care of our group, definitely recommend this experience for those wanting to learn and eat delicious food.
Mark Thomas
We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was very entertaining. The sample food sizes were ample enough to get a good flavor of the food. Chef John was personable and informative. He had an excellent knowledge of the history of the market place. Would highly recommend this tour.
Jessica Sullivan
We had a fantastic time on this food tour. Chef Brendan was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and kept the tour very interesting. All the food we had was outstanding. It was also a really great variety of food. My favorite was the chowder and the pizza. My mom’ favorite was the BBQ. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. I highly recommend booking this while you are in Seattle. I also recommend NOT eating before you go on the tour. Enjoy!
David Ezroj
Excellent tour, must do! Everyone knows the market but this tour shows you the ins and outs as only a chef and local could. The small group size helps navigate the market. Chef John is fun, enthusiastic, and deeply connected to the market community. Every food stop was delicious and amazing. I had visited the market before and missed so much! Besides the delicious food Chef John introduced us to artist, musicians, explained the markets history, and took us to corners seldom seen. If thats not enough, the %10 discount is quite good. After everything I know about the market I would happily go again just for the fun times with Chef John. Make sure to arrive with a full stomach and an empty bag. This tour is a must do for any food lover!
Kristol C
I explored Pike place before the Chef Lead tour and I found it even better after I had the Chef lead tour. Chef Liz had great energy and connected with all of us while walking us through some Seattle facts and Pike Place history . There are so many small gems I missed out on during my solo exploration and it was nice touring with locals and even hearing them gain some new history. I appreciate the tour was small sized group to allow everyone an opportunity to hear and ask questions. Also love the we started on time to ensure we got the full experience.
The foods we sampled during the tour were flavorful and again loved hearing the personal connection to each vendor and their business journey. Had such a great time forgot to take pics.
If you’re looking for a great way to explore and have some delicious food then I highly recommend this Chef lead tour. Also if you are all about supporting small businesses even more reason to support Eat Seattle tours.
Thanks for a great experience - cheers to everyone hope you enjoy

Just completed a tour with our knowledgeable guide Eric and it was marvelous. Lots of great info and a number of tasty bites, including one of the best am chowders I've ever tasted. Definitely a worthwhile 2 hours!
Jessica krieger
We just had the best time on this tasty and incredibly interesting tour! So many tastings and Eric truly has such a wealth of knowledge and passion for food that cascades into making this a special experience. A must attend tour #teameric!
Wendy Becker
TEAM ERIC! We loved this “behind the ropes” walking tour of the market. Chef Eric was informative, engaging and organized. Delicious selection of samples. Highly recommend.
Candice Belandres
Eat Seattle accommodated us so well when scheduling our tour today! We booked a private tour but the only availability was too close to our flight arrival time, so they agreed to book us something a little later in the afternoon. It truly was so kind of them to be so flexible. Chef Sean was awesome and very knowledgeable. He was funny, down to earth, and VERY real with all of us! All the food was delicious and pretty good portions. Even very picky eater kids were into it! I highly recommend good walking shoes; you really have to keep up. 12/10 - book the tour!
Karen Mills
What a great adventure! Chef Eric was fun and knowledgeable. Loved hearing the history of Pike Place Market and getting the inside scoop on the food vendors! The food samples were awesome!! What a great opportunity to try many different vendor offerings. Pike Place Market is a confusing warren of nooks and crannies for a first time visitor- so nice to have a guide. Really enjoyed the afternoon. Highly recommend the tour.
Shane Wood
Fantastic tour. Chef Sean was very well versed, knowledgeable, and expressive.
Great job. Entertaining. Engaging. Got along with everyone in group. Like taking a tour with your best friend. Remembered what people said they liked during introductions and pointed out food/restaurants/cuisines they might enjoy. Would definitely recommend asking for him for your tour. Five forks all the way up. Gave wonderful insight, backstory, and some history about the workings of Pike Place. This was our third time visiting from Texas and he gave us insight that we never would've known, like how the Market helps protect and preserve the
environment and how they help people, especially the less fortunate.

I am new to the city and was looking for things to do, when I came across the chef-guided tours of Pike Place on EatSeattle. I checked the weather forecast and booked a spot on the tour. On a gloriously sunny (as forecasted) Saturday afternoon, I headed out to Simply Seattle - the designated meeting point for the tour group. Chef Sean came along and introduced himself to the group. He is such a fun, pleasant guy! He talked to us about the history of the market, and threw in some super cool facts about the various small businesses and the community initiatives at Pike Place. I won't give away the spoilers, but we got to sample some of the super famous dishes and also discovered cute little shops which would become my new haunts for sure. The tour is a great way to get to know the city, and to meet a bunch of new people, I would recommend it even to the locals. Thanks Chef Sean and thanks Eat Seattle for a wonderful afternoon.
Madison Phillips
Wonderful tour with Liz! The food was fabulous, we ate a ton and learned a lot about the market! Definitely a must do in Seattle!
Julie I
Chef John was a wealth of information about Pike Place Market. It’s obvious how much he loves the market with every fact he passes along and he appears to be an institution there. The food sampled offered a great mix of the market. Hands down the best clam chowder we’ve ever eaten! Would definitely recommend. It’s the best way to get to know the ins and outs of Pike Place Market!
Alexis Torno
The tour was amazing! Our chief, John, was excellent. He was very informative & directed us through Pikes Market with ease. I highly recommend this tour (especially with John) to anyone who wants to try the some of the famous food places that Pikes Market is known for. This tour helps decides what you like/dislike at each restaurant instead of waiting in those long lines. Had a wonderful time getting to know the history & owners of each restaurant. A must do on your list when visiting Seattle!
Julie Joy
We loved the food tour! Our family is here on vacation from Florida and we love trying local food. A food tour I am sure is the only way to learn about the market and try so many hidden gems. Chef Sean was knowledgeable and down to earth and introduced us to a bunch of great food. We also got a few bonus tastes that weren’t planned. I absolutely loved the experience and would say it’s the only way to experience the market. We even went back to 2 places after the tour to purchase food for home and stuff ourselves some more.
Mary Shepherd
My daughter and I had a fantastic time on this tour with Brandon. He was knowledgeable, fun, kind, courteous, and professional. Pike Place Market can be overwhelming on your own. This is the perfect way to hit the highlights and sample great food without waiting in long lines. Well worth the money. We are Team Brandon all the way!
Jacquie Gift
We had Eric for our tour guide. He was outstanding. If you are planning to do pike place, this is your tour!! There were lines for most of the places we had food. All bypassed on the tour. All the food given on the tour was outstanding selections. We were a party of six and none of us had one negative about the tour. Our tour guide was very much knowledgeable about Seattle, food, history, etc! Thank you again!
Alexis Brown
We really enjoyed our Eat Seattle tour! Chef Eric was a fun and knowledgeable guide and the tour was a great way to get to know the market. All of the food was delicious!
It would be helpful for the website to note that there are a number of stairs involved during the tour, especially for those who are older.
Kacey Hiltner
We were part of “Team Eric” today. We would highly recommend this tour. 2 hours flew by! It was informative, interesting, a lot of fun and a great way to sample several different food items in the market. There were about 10 people on the tour. The small group size was nice and allowed for conversations and questions about the area. This was our first time to Seattle and the market area. The tour was a great way to get introduced to the space. We spent several hours at the market after the tour and went back to many of the same spots. Thanks for a great time!
Denise Chamberlain
Wow!! This tour is serious! History, architecture, art, behind the scenes stories, the wonderful people of the market, and so much amazing food!!! And the price is a sweet deal.
Our excellent chef guide, John, took us all through the ins and outs and ups and downs of this unique and complex market with expert knowledge, personal chef insights, and genuine love and delight for the people he introduced us to. Every bite on this tour was excellent! And many things I would have missed on my own because the market is crowded and busy, but this tour skips the lines and takes us behind the scenes. DO NOT MISS THIS!!
It's the best thing we did all week. Thank you John!! I'll do this tour again. ❣

Pike street market with a chef is the best possible experience you can have. The passion and knowledge of the chef really make this experience deeply enjoyable. I highly recommend taking a tour, taking your friends and family on the tour. Everyone in our group had an excellent time. Thank you so much chef Sean!
Allison Charice
The BEST food tour I’ve ever experienced ✨Our guide Chef John was well versed, educated on the market and so charismatic!! The portions were perfect and we felt we got the most delicious food options in the market! THANK YOU FOR CATERING TO MY BESTIE WHO IS GLUTEN FREE AND MAKING IT SO SEAMLESS. Eat Seattle Tours, we love you 💕 …
Stefanie Giovine
This tour was a great way to see Pike Place Market! Would not have been able to cover that much ground or try as many places as we did without this tour, Chef John was the absolute best with giving us all the information we needed & fun tips & tricks of Seattle! All the food was amazing & the experience was so delightful
Patsy Brown
Our tour guide's knowledge of the Pike Market was extensive and shared in an entertaining manner! The tour started a little slow as it was at 10 am and finished very strong! John knew the vendors, coached the group to stay together, and delivered more than the tour listed with the food provided and his knowledge of the Marketplace. Outstanding tour! Highly recommend!!
Sean Petersmark
As a local, I would take this tour again and will recommend this to anyone who wants to truly experience and learn about Pike Place.
Chef John delivered an awesome tour. He was charasmatic, knowledgeable, fun, and attentive to what we were interested in and crafted the "route" of what we were into. On top of that I left full of delicious food, and they accommodated to my vegetarian diet.
Pike Place can be super overwhelming. Through this tour I skipped the headache of lines and planning and got an amazing experience.
Highly recommend!
Brea Black
We had chef John leading our tour through the market and taking us to some of the tastiest places. Loved being able to sample different things and not just picking one place to eat. Chef John also gave us a history lesson about the market and surrounding area as well as some of knowledge of how things work for vendors in various sections. After the tour we received discounts at the vendors we sampled and more. Would highly recommend for anyone! Thanks chef John!
David Rottkamp
We had a great tour with Chef Eric. He is very knowledgeable and fun. We appreciated learning about the history of the Market and the various food stops. We loved all the food and stopped back at several of them after our tour was over. Thanks for a great experience!!

I had a great time at the Pikes market food tour. Chef Eric was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. It was a great way to sample the many good options at the market without having to wait in line. Especially convenient when you wanted to eat again afterwards since there are so many good places to try.
Kevin Sniff
Chef Sean was an incredible tour guide and gave us an experience to remember. His knowledge of the Pike Place Market and its history was excellent and provided context to the various foods we tried throughout the market. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone lucky enough to find out about it.
Steve Starzak
Great time with Chef Sean. Very knowledgeable and witty. Kept us moving and engaged and provided great information on on the history of Pikes Place Market. Especially nice that he made it personal by stopping at some of his favorite spots. All food stops were great and even had to return after for additional purchases. If visiting Seattle, the best way to experience the Market!
Adri P
Fantastic experience! My favorite so far in Seattle. John is incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. He really gives you the full experience of Pike’s Market. And the tastings were amazing! I would definitely recommend it.
joyce yuan
In my opinion, it was really worth in the money. Our tour guide, Chef John, was enthusiastic and energetic, and you could tell he loved everything about the Pikes Place market just by the way he shared his stories. We skipped the line and got samples of many signature locations around the place, and everything was delicious
Jamie L
I highly recommend this tour! Chef Sean was amazing! He was fun, knew a lot about the market, the history and all the great food! We went to a lot of places I would have never found just walking through the market. Go hungry because there are lots of great samples, I made this my lunch and was so full.
Can't wait to go again and I'll definitely be requesting Sean again! He made the tour so fun!
Drew Landgrebe
This was a great tour. It was worth every penny in my opinion. We had a lot of samples and some were a good size. In total it came out to a large snack or a small meal. Sylas shared a lot about the market as well as the food. I don't think that there was a single question from the group that he could not answer.
I love that the tour guides have culinary backgrounds and get to design their own tours and pick their own stops. This let you go on the tour multiple times! This will be on my list to do again the next time I'm in Seattle
Thank you for a great tour!
Amy Hays
Had a great experience on the chef tour of Pike Place with Chef Eric. He did such a great job making sure everyone on the tour had a great time. The food samples were so yummy! And all of the history and information that Eric shared really added to the experience. Worth every penny and would go again in a heartbeat.
James Guiette
Liz was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job. Highly recommend for anybody who wants to experience the Pike Place market but has a limited amount of time. The tour included a variety of scrumptious bites that we would not have had the time to enjoy otherwise. Did I say that everything was delicious?
Debra Burd
This was a fun tour. It started with truffles and ended with chocolate. In between we had all kinds of salmon, BBQ, pizza, and some delicious beverages. How could I forget the fabulous Pikes Chowder. It was so good I made sure to have it again. Chef Brendan gave a great tour. We learned the market history, and a few cooking techniques.
Caroline Bennett
I booked a private food tour throughout South Lake Union and it was fabulous! Our group loved Chef Eric’s facts about the area and eateries, the food was all wonderful (and easily accommodated our vegetarians), and a week later, everyone is still remarking on how fun it was. I’m definitely planning to book another tour of Pike Place Market and Eat Seattle/Eric! Thanks for the memorable time!
Cyndy Rathbun
This tour was excellent! Chef Sean was wonderful!! He made it interesting and fun!!! It's obvious he loves what he does!! The places we tasted at were all very good!! Also, my friend had to walk slowly and Chef made sure we were not left behind!! We highly recommend this tour!!!
Mary Yurewitch
Chef John was an amazing tour guide and has a lot of knowledge about the market. He’s extremely personable and has a great sense of humor. The food we had was amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Seattle.
kristen thoma
With all the tour options out there, I’m confident we picked the best one. Our tour guide and chef Eric was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Every stop he brought us too was delicious, well planned out and an included great story. The 2 hours flew by and I look forward to repeating the tour whenever friends and family visit from out of town
Christy Tchaparian
We had such an awesome time this morning. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but chef Sean was a great host. He showed us around his favorite spots, was super attentive to our two daughters 6, and 8, and really told it like it was which we appreciated. Highlights for us were amazing lavender lattes, a cocoa nib cookie, and for someone who didn't think they liked salmon, the most delicious fish I've ever put in my mouth. Also super appreciated was learning of the market's push towards environmental sustainability. We will definitely recommend this tour to all our friends and family, and we'll do it again if we find ourselves in Seattle at a later date. At a later date.
Ali Henning
More than I had expected. Hands down, Chef Sylas was so knowledgeable not only about the food tastings but also the rich history of the Pike Place Market. Having lived my entire life here, I saw more of the Market than I ever have. Super impressed. Worth every penny. I can not wait to book my next food tour!
Ally Ingram
I booked the Chef Driven Tasting Tour and we couldn't have been happier! Sean was our guide, he was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we really got the truest sense of the market! This is the best way to try all the best foodie spots in the market, will recommend to any one I know visiting Seattle!
Dee H
Would definitely recommend this tour for those wanting to see and experience the market. Chef John was a fun, charismatic guide with knowledge not only about the food but the history as well. Loved sampling a variety of items at the market and definitely know which places we want to go again. Great for first timers.
Scott Buchanan
We booked a private tour as part of a team-building effort... and it was EXCELLENT. The tour guide (Sylas) was a chef, who had real passion for vendors and the food at Pike Place. Every stop along the tour involved tidbits of history, food origin, food quality, etc. And every bite (selected for us by Sylas) was awesome! We appreciated that Sylas hit a couple of famed vendors (e.g. Pike Place Chowder), but also a few lesser-known vendors that deserve the attention (and business). Highly recommended!
Heather Sigler
Super fun tour and worth every penny! Chef Sean’s passion for The Market is infectious and he’s a funny guy. Really glad we didn’t eat beforehand. We went back to Maiz and split a taco and tamale. So good! The staff there had very nice things to say about Sean. Thanks for a memorable visit!
Weronika Kuc
Great tour! Chef Eric was super fun and struck a good balance between sharing his history and economics knowledge and some more lighthearted jokes. He also found incredible vegan food alternatives for me at almost every stop. 100% recommend this tour, it was a highlight of our trip to Seattle.
Laken Bankert
Wonderful tour with Chef John and the food is amazing. I’m not the biggest fan of salmon and there were 2 places we had it but the rest of the places we stopped definitely made up for it. Great way to experience the history of Pike Place and would recommend doing it before walking around the market if it’s your first time. Would highly recommend and do again!
Byron Lau
Took the chef-guided 2 hour tour of Pike Place Market. We had a great guide - Chef John. He was extremely knowledgeable about the market and made sure we got plenty of samples. He also was great at accommodating bathroom breaks and any of our needs. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!
J G
We did the Chef Led Tour of Pikes Place Market with Eric. Great tour! Eric gave just the right amount of information. Multiple stops (7-8) with small portions was right for the price and everything was very good.
Elizabeth Miles
Sylus was an excellent guide! Had lots of information to share about the market and surrounding area. We took the tour on the hottest day of the year and although the market was very crowded he kept our group together. The several samples were of good size and plentiful. Definitely the equivalent of lunch!! Nice size group (12) and enjoyed personal interaction with restaurant owners. Highly recommend this tour!
Jerrod Guddat
I highly recommend this tour for locals and first time travelers. Chef John was fantastic! We had such a great time going places and trying foods at Pike’s Place Market we would have never done on our own. Totally worth the money.
Natalie Keller
The Eat Seattle chef’s tour was incredible! Our guide Eric was super knowledgeable and engaging, and every spot had delicious food - highly recommend booking over lunch! Eric, thanks so much for a great time at Pike Place!
Susan Hanks
The Market is so overwhelming and Chef Sean was the best. He took us to some notable places and gave lots of interesting facts … we could spend the whole day exploring g all the different places he told us about. He was great and would highly recommend - it is worth the money. You definitely will be full when the tour is over!!
Ann Koepke
I read about the Eat Seattle tours in Seattle Met magazine and thought this would be a fun outing to do with a couple British friends who would be visiting Seattle for the first time. I've been to Pike Place Market countless times, but as it's huge and can be overwhelming, I thought this sounded like a fun and tasty way to show it to them. It turned out to be the favorite thing we did on the trip! Our guide Sylas was top-notch: fun, professional, and knowledgeable and picked great places for us to go. Everything was so well-organized and it's a great mix of learning the history of the market, learning about individual vendors, and eating some DELICIOUS, generously sized samples. I would absolutely go again, either with out-of-town guests or just with friends who want to participate in a fun outing. Super-unique and memorable outing.
Lizzie Letts
We had such an amazing tour. The chef was funny and engaging! We got some great history and bites but even better we felt like insiders at the Market. We all felt full after the tour, it was a good amount of wonderful food.
Joseph Specter
My wife and I went on a tour with Chef Sean and we were blown away by the experience. First of all, Chef Sean is a really knowledgable and fun guy, but the biggest thing you cant help but notice and appreciate is his passion for people by way of food. The food we ate unique and delicious. I loved that we ate at some places that may not catch your eye in first glance. We stayed away from the tourist traps and experienced food from local establishments with connections to Pike Place. Chef was more than happy to answer any questions thrown his way. I appreciated his honesty about where to go and what to avoid. I've been on food tours in quite a few major cities. This one goes straight to the top. Thanks Eat Seattle, and thank you Chef Sean!
Allen Mulkey
Loved the tour! Chef John had all the connections and all the history. Just a fascinating place! Loved the samples. We are enough samples that we didn’t even need a lunch! Highly recommend this tour! Thank you Chef John for the great tour!
Leslie Landon
We loved this tour! Our guide, Sean, did an excellent job of showing us around the market. We saw and tasted so many things we would have missed otherwise. He restaurant owners clearly new him well which added to the whole experience. Ended up going back for a meatball sub for dinner at Pizza and Pasta Bar at his recommendation!
Jeremiah Ramirez
The food tour was absolutely incredible and all the places we tasted - were all worthy to go a second time! Do I need to say anything else? Lol This was my first food tour I’ve experienced and Chef Sean provided one of the most explicit - wonderful food experiences I ever had. He’s a real expert about food and provided important history that goes behind with it. The bar is now set high for more food tours all thanks to Chef Sean. So no question - book here. I’m recommending this booking to my family and friends 100%. Thank you.
Sandy Shafer
Chef Sean was awesome. The food was amazing & well worth the tour. I will caution anyone with bad knees, there are a lot of stairs in the beginning. It was worth every step. If you want to buy stuff and have it shipped, I would advise you to go ahead & buy there & pay the flat rate shipping that some of the vendors offer. Totem Smokehouse & Truffle Queen will ship for you & you can add additional vendor stuff to your USPS Flat Rate box with them. I really wish I would have done that instead of coming home & deciding to buy on line. BIG MISTAKE! All in all, I highly recommend this tour & will do it again when I go back.
Michele Ball
We were looking for something special to do for our Anniversary and so glad we did! Chef Brendan was our guide and was so knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a great tour to find new hidden foodie places. I’m from WA and it was so much fun to discover Pike Place in a whole new way. Highly recommend!

Sylas was our guide and he was fantastic. Love that he started the tour right on time and kept it moving. 9 amazing food samples of various varieties with accommodations for food allergies. Lots of background on the origination of the pike market. This is the best way to experience this Seattle gem.
Erin Kerr
This was really an amazing experience. The market was really crowded, so taking the tour meant getting access to shops we wouldn’t have been able to otherwise (without waiting for an hour or so).
We absolutely LOVED our tour guide, Brendan (and not just because he’s also from Philly, too!). He was knowledgeable and the vibes were IMMACULATE.
I would absolutely recommend this 100 times over and will do this again if we’re ever back in Seattle!
Irene Eberz
My husband and I took both tours. The South Lake tour with chef Eric was filled with great history and humor. Chef John managed to keep us all together on a very busy day at the Market tour. It felt like he was the man "in the know" in all aspects of the Market.
Maranda Avery
Both the South Lake Union Street Food Tour and the Pike’s Market Chef’s Tour were excellent! These tours were a great way to share the local foods with out the wait! Chef Eric was knowledgeable in the foods, culture and the city!
Dionne hunter
We are so happy we took the Chef Tour at Pike Place Public Market! We tried fabulous foods and learned about the history of the market from our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Sylas. Without the tour we would have felt lost. 100% recommend!
Benjamin P
Chef Eric was outstanding!! The Chef Tour was the highlight of our weekend trip to Seattle! Highly Recommend the tour, as you will experience Pikes Place Market like never before. Learn the history , try samples and discover hidden gems of market.
Iziah
My wife and I are Seattle natives but thought it would be fun to try some good food and learn a little bit about Seattle. Sylas was our tour guide and he did such a great job picking the best shops and sharing information even we didn’t know. He told us that each chef had their own route so we look forward to our next time out.
Susan Mentzer
We have experienced Pikes Market numerous times. Chef Eric was very knowledgeable and shared stories that were new to us. He introduced us to businesses in out of the way places we unaware. We had a great time!
Roshelle Jones
Chef Sean went beyond educating us on food, but the fisher's market culture and most importantly generational history and a strong community. Probably the best food tasting tour I've ever been on. That's Chef, my family and I had a blast.
Fae D.
Great tour to sample good eats in the city while learning Seattle’s history, and hidden gems. Highly recommend!
Karie Sommers
This tour is a great way to find out about some of the best food vendors in the market. The food on the tour was good - nothing that I would consider unique, but all tasty. Our guide, John, was excellent - very knowledgeable about the food, of course, but also VERY knowledgeable about the history of the market which is quite interesting!
Phil Soma
It was wonderful! Chef Brenden was extremely knowledgeable of the history and inner-workings of Pikes. An extremely insightful tour of the market, highlighting all the best spots, would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city. Plus the food is AMAZING!
Peter Litwin
Chef John was great! Really funny & great knowledge of The Market. My wife and both live in Seattle, but still learned lots about The Market we never knew. We really had a fun time.
William Leahy
We have been on many city food tours and Eat Seatte is one of the best. Eric was very knowledgeable about today's Pike's Market and about its history and background on the restaurants we visited. The food samples were quite generous. We revisited Pikes a number of times after the tour.
Lori m
Fabulous tour with access to food we never would have found that was mind blowing. Informative and educational on a deep level without sacrificing a fast paced and fun, feel good vibe. Hidden gems and back stories. The best two hours we’ve spent in Seattle in several visits. Highly recommend.
Neelim Randhawa
This tour was amazing. Great food and we learned a lot of great facts about Pike Place Market. Our tour guide was also amazing. We had so much fun. I would recommend this tour to individuals visiting the area and also to locals.
Bruno Tapia
The tour was awesome! Silas was our guide and gave us a lot of cool facts and food recommendations. All the food we tried was amazing. The vibes were great! Would definitely recommend to friends/family and my coworkers!!
Deanna Shue
Awesome food tour of Pike Place market! Our guide Brenden was very entertaining and super organized. I was surprised by the amount of food provided. It was so much that by the end I was completely stuffed! Great way to see the market and so worth the money.
Jim Hunley
This tour exceeded our expectations. Liz was a thorough and knowledgeable guide that made a conscious effort to share the details to all within the group. The food samples for not only excellent, but the portions were more than a bite or two that was expected. I would highly recommend this tour if you have no issues with moderate walking.
Cesar Plasencia
Chef Eric conducted an amazing, professional tour of the Pike Place Market and its small businesses. The samples were great, and Chef Eric was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Seattle to attend this tour.
Shawna Johnson
Fun tour!! We all had a great time and the food was fabulous. There was plenty of vegetarian options as well. Must try the Thai chowder at the Pike Place Chowder, it is phenomenal! Well worth the money. "Team Eric" all the way!
Jennifer Vu
My husband and I went on the Pike Place Market Tour with Chef Sean and the Street Food Tour with Chef Eric. As a bonus we also had delicious pretzels with Chef Brandon at the Luminata Festival in Green Lake!
Our guides were knowledgeable chefs that shared history, introduced us to amazing food, and provided awesome recommendations for eats beyond the tour and ‘funtivities’ around town. They were punctual and kept us on track yet threw in extras where they could. They gave us discounts and made sure we were taken care of at each stop. The food was incredible. They tailored down the choices for us and were honest about their reviews. We loved their candid approach and appreciated the special tour group treatment we received through their connections.
Jamie C
This Pikes Food tour was okay! For those who are getting tickets you can eat a meal before and you won't be too full. It's more sample size. I've been on food tours where it's a full meal by the end--even a chocolate tour I did recently in the city.
To improve, I would have liked: more chef related facts. It was focused more on the market and history than culinary pieces. If this is the case. A non chef could have run the tour and shared the same facts. Larger samples or more stops. The tour felt quick or like it didn't have a ton of stops.
The food was okay and did have options for those w food allergies but didn’t feel that knowledgeable about them. The Truffle queen BLACK truffle cream is NOT Gluten free but the white is. I should have read ingredients first but it’s tiring! I could try the SLU tour one day maybe.
aylaeh cline
Sylas was a great tour guide. We learned a bit about the history of Pike's and got to try some excellent foods. I would highly recommend the chef's tour. My mom even thanked me for booking the tour!
Christi Warren
My husband and I were on team Sylas. We had such a good time! It wasn’t slow, wasn’t too fast. Sylas was knowledgeable and answered all of the group’s questions. It was fun, informative and delicious! I’m so glad we did the tour on our first day here because the market can be overwhelming and this gave us the amazing history of the market and gave us a lay of the land. I would HIGHLY recommend! We will be doing any tour this company has! Thank you Sylas!
Carolyn Puccinelli
Chef Sean does a great job of showing local favorites and famous touristy places. Lots of excellent samples and plenty of food! Because Chef is a local, the tour includes fun stories and helpful tips for navigating the culinary delights of Seattle and Pike Place specifically.
Megan Muir
Chef Eric was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable and humorous throughout our experience! We learned so much about the market and vendors whom are famous for their local offerings! It was wonderful to see such a special Seattle landmark thriving. Eat Seattle Tour was a highlight to our trip!
Karyn Dauwer
Our tour guide, John was exceptional. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour. If we did Pike's Market on our own we wouldn't know where to begin. Such great info and food!!
Mark Robb
Really fun tour! Chef Shawn was very knowledgeable and had a fun sense of humor. The food was great and ready when we arrived to each destination. As a local I even found some new hidden gems that I will return to in the future.
Steve M
My wife and I did a tour with Eat Seattle, and had Sylas our our guide. This was easily one of the highlights on an outstanding visit to Seattle. We only wished we had done this on the first day, and not the last day in the city. Sylas was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The samples were larger then expected, and the entire experience excided our expectations. I highly recommend booking a tour with Eat Seattle, and if we're ever back in the city this is an instant repeat for us.
Mary Beth O
Chef Eric was witty, informative, and selected wonderful food for us to try. And he talked to us about Seattle food history, marketplace history food prep and sustainability. We had seven tastes and each was superb. Don’t pick the big guy - pick Eat Seattle!
Jean D
Highly recommend this tour as a great way to explore many of the tasty treats at The Market. Good historical info as well! Sylas was a fantastic guide and our group revisited several of our stops for meals or purchases afterwards. Not to be missed! Suggestion: book directly with Eat Seattle. I used a 3rd party and they screwed up a modification I made to the reservation.
Joan Mattelin Garrett
Had a great Market tour today with Erik. Excellent mix of food info, history, and tasting. Erik’s tour felt like we were hanging out with a friend of a friend. Great food and recs for where else to eat around Seattle. Team Erik.
Scott Perman
This was a great tour! So much information! So many tasty treats! From bar b q to strawberry guava juice… everything was perfect! And quick! Almost no waiting for anything! Easy to eat and easy to dispose of the trash! Chef Sylas was so knowledgeable not only about what we were tasting, but other culinary and history tidbits! Do yourself a favor, and enjoy the Market like this…
ANL
Great tour of pike place. Totally worth it. The tour is 2 hrs long and includes generous samples of some of the most popular eateries 💜 Our tour guide Sean talked with passion about the history of pike place and appreciation for all the vendors. …
Chris Wilson
Great food, great knowledge from Chef Sean, great time. As a visitor, the Market seems very overwhelming with its hundreds of quality choices for food and drink. Sean cut the line (literally at times) and gave us a quick, succinct and excellent snippet of Seattle life.
Casey Boyer
Chef Brendon was an amazing guide. The food was amazing and the tour was a lot of fun. I don't enjoy standing in lines or trying to decide what to order. This tour avoids them both! I would highly recommend this over standing in lines and over-eating just one venue. I would happily take this tour again!
Mckenna Erickson
Such a great tour!! We’ve taken both the Pike Place & SLU tours, both were filled with fantastic information along the way along with an impressive number of stops with sizable portions to try. The Eat Seattle tours are now on the top of our recommendation list when friends and family come to visit!
Renata Pittman-Davis
An excellent way to see some of the hidden treasures around Pike Place Market. Our guide, Sean, was knowledgeable and passionate about his city. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings he arranged for us!
Andrea Turner
This was an amazing experience. Sylas was the best guide and took us to some really great places. His culinary background truly added to the experience. The food was amazing and we went back to some after the tour was over. Highly recommend!
olivia sykes
This food tour of Pike Place was one of the best I’ve ever been on! I booked it for my dad as a Father’s Day gift after reading some great reviews and seeing that it was a small business (which we should all support more!). We live in the Issaquah area and have been to Pike Place, but didn’t know what the good spots were. Boy did I choose the right tour! Chef Sylas was our very friendly guide and super knowledgeable (if you can, ask for him), he took us to some really tasty spots we never would have discovered on our own. He even had a secret about Pike Place Chowder (but I’ll let him tell you about it if you take his tour). Definitely book their tours as each guide has a different route with their own cool places to try :) What a treat of a day 💛
Karen Schaeffer
We feel really blessed because Sean was such an amazing guide! Super informative and hospitable—I felt like he really cared about the people in our group. The food was delicious and generously portioned for a food tour. Sean’s knowledge of food is encyclopedic and he’s funny and frank, and I loved that he provided us with unvarnished views of his food likes and dislikes. I really appreciated his emphasis on the environmental/social health of the Market and its large community of vendors and artisans. I am a life-long Seattleite and, even so, I learned a ton about the history and the hidden gems of the Market. This tour was a great value. Highly recommended!!

Eat Seattle was my 1st ever Foodie Tour and boy were my tummy & tastebuds satified!😋 Our Group of 8 was talentedly led by CHeF EriC who named our group #TeamEric. Our 2.30 hour tour, whose duration was extended by our gracious tourguide pastry/bread chef, included 10 delectable samples from local eateries located in the charming Pike St Market Place.
From a delicious thick, warm Mocha slightly tainted with peppermint served with a piece of dark chocolate as a starter, CHeF EriC went on to treat our tastesbuds with homemade flagship mac & cheese peppered penne; real greek yogurt with a berry sauce; marketplace new england clam chowder that was definately NOT stingy with the fresh clams; BBQ pork on coleslaw; famous sausage; perfectly grilled salmon, chocolate cherries, honest bisquits, and closed off with a lesson on the cacao bean and how its grown and a warm cookie.
The tour was not just about the food, but CheF Eric made it a point to breakfown some funfacts on the history of the local area and how the locale and small businesses came to be. I commend CHeF EriC for his well-rounded knowledge of many aspects and felt welcomed by his friendliness. I recommend this to anyone who loves good local food visiting Seattle. Bundle up if u r in Seattle during Winter and stay dry!

The Eat Seattle tour was the highlight of my quick trip to Seattle. It featured a good range of market vendors. The quantity of food left me satisfied. The duration was perfect. Go Team Eric!
Nicole Carbine
Eat Seattle was so much fun. I took the tour with my family and friends. We tried so many good foods in the Pike Place Market. It was the right balance of eating, walking, and talking! And learned some Seattle history!
Lorraine Herlein
Absolutely one of the best food tours I’ve ever taken. Eric our guide was knowledgeable and we learned so much about the history of the market and growing local and organic foods . So many great samples including the clam chowder which is to die for, the blackened salmon, the best Mac and chees, chocolate covered cherries, making chocolate from the cacao beans ….. so much good!!! Yum!
McKenzee Braithwaite
Such a fun tour and a great way to experience the best of Pikes Market! Sylas was an awesome tour guide! Loved learning the history of the market and getting to eat great food with an experienced chef!
Patricia Pace
Super Silas was an amazing tour guide. He was attentive and included many historical facts as well as some GREAT eats!!! As a nurse I appreciated his ability to remember everyone's allergies and cater the menu for those needs. I will definitely come back again!!!
Traci McStay
This tour was AWESOME! Our tour guide John was SUPER knowledgable, friendly, hilarious (I missed a lot of his references but the other group members confirmed what he was saying was funny) and just really knew Pike Place really well. (Even the booth owners said he was the best tour guide!) All the food was great and we got decent sized samples, I definitely wasn’t starving afterwards I’ll tell you that. Well worth the money between the comedic history lesson and the yummy food. It was also really cool to learn about the community of pike place and how they take care of each other. There were even locals on the tour if that tells you anything. Considering the maze likeness of the place the tour is also a great way to get a lay of the land before tackling the place on by yourself.
Shaun Stoecker
Chef Eric was amazing and inspiring. We learned so much about the market, so informational and great history to the city and the growth of the Pacific Northwest... the places we stopped at had amazing quality food and ingredients. Do the tour!!
Bethany Starr
We had Chef Shawn and he was awesome! We got to try so many places we never would have stopped at on our own. It was all so delicious. Chef Shawn was very knowledgeable and we loved his personality.
Kathy Richardson
The tour was a great way to get a taste of so many different foods in Seattle, despite it being very busy at the market. John also did a great job leading us through and showing us around the marketplace! Well done!!
Stacy Coglianese
Chef Sean was absolutely amazing!!! He only does the tours a certain time of the year- I believe it was summer! I highly recommend it! He was funny, witty, kept it real and really had a passion for the food and the market!
Wendy Wakai
Excellent tour of eating places in Pike's Market. Our guide Eric gave us the background on the marketplace and explained each item we tried. There was a good variety of items such as cheese, salmon, tacos, pulled bbq pork, cheese biscuit, candy and chocolate cookie.
M Bumbaca
Fabulous tour! Our chef, Sylas, was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and very willing (and able) to answer any questions. The tastings were great and the amount of time at each location was perfect. 5 stars and something I would definitely do again.
Lisa Childress
We had an amazing tour with Chef Sean today. He shared so much information about the market, the food, and the people behind the food. All of the tastings were excellent and we can't wait to go back for more!
Ryann Kerchner
What a great way to spend a few hours! Our tour guide, John, was able to provide a lot of information and took us to the most amazing places. I would HIGHLY recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your trip because you will want to go back and eat/purchase things!!
Kathy Ampudia
Cyrus was a wonderful guide. We learned a lot about Pikes Place Market. The food we sampled was delicious. We especially loved the cookie at Indi Chocolate! We went back the next day to take some back home with us! Highly recommend this tour!
Maynard Wagner
I’m a local resident and have been to Pike Place Market many times. So you might think it wasn’t as fun or informative? Well you’d be wrong! It was a fast-paced, fun, fact-filled, delicious 2 hours and our tour guide Silas was 10STARS! I brought my local Seattle real estate team for a celebration and we all left with big smiles and happy tummies!
Thanks Silas!
Maynard and the Wagner Real Estate team

F for Fabulous. Brendan was over the top. So informative, great attitude and so pleasant. I would recommend him to any of my friends that are going to be visiting Seattle. The Pike Place is beautiful. Thank you for an amazing day.
Sylvia Ipaye
The tour was great! I came hungry and left full. Chef Brendan was so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING, and he also provided a safe and fun environment for all of us. I highly recommend.

The market was amazing! I'm so glad I got to see it. Chef John was so knowledgeable and fun! I learned a lot about the history of Pike Place Market and what's there now. It was a great experience, definitely worth doing!
anna oskorus
Chef Brenden was a delight and highly knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the carefully curated and tasty bites and the behind the scenes/skip the lines experience of Pike Place Market. Worth every penny!
Tammy Warkentin
The Seattle chef’s tour was fantastic! Brendon was a great guide and went above and beyond for us. I am gluten free and there were plenty of food sample options for me. I didn’t expect that!!
Jacob Stanton
The tour was GREAT!! Chef John was exceptional, he knew everything there was to know about the market. I 100% recommend doing a food tour through Eat Seattle
Genellen Thach
Chef Sean was awesome! Knowledgeable and positive energy during the entire tour! We also had so much food to try! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves!
Bethany Matala
Such a great experience with AMAZING food. Came for a weekend visit and did this tour with Chef Sean (or Shawn not sure on spelling) and he was great, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone feeling overwhelmed about Pikes Place being so big. Also get 10% off of a lot of places after the tour which is a great bonus!!
Mariah Easley
Our tour guide Brendan was knowledgeable and funny, (dad jokes for days). My husband and I had a great time. Food locations we tasted were very eclectic from cheese, truffle, tacos, bbq, desserts and chowder of course but my seafood loving husband was disappointed there wasn’t any seafood.
Andrea Hillary
Our tour guide was Brendan and he made the experience really enjoyable for the whole group. All of the stops were top notch and we learned a bit of Seattle history along the way. Definitely a must do tour for visitors and residents!
Brian Berger
Great food tour! John was a fantastic guide—seemed to know everyone at Pike Place and he shared its history with enthusiasm. Food was excellent. Highly recommend!
Nicole Perkes
Chef Sean was fabulous! We learned so much about the history of Pike Place and Seattle. We got tons of inside info. We are way too much delicious food! Unbelievably good!
Michelle Kirchner
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide Brendan was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun, and everything we ate was delicious. It was a great way to experience Pike Place Market for the first time!
Denise Geiger
This was a great tour. Brendan did a wonderful job in talking about the Pike Market, the history of the area and the food. The food we tasted was delicious. To me this is a Must-Do when visiting Seattle.
Bill Snedden
Sylas, our culinary guide, did an awesome job of keeping the group organized. His selection of the menu and his descriptions of the history and production of the food was excellent. It was a great two hours spent.
Julie Mercado
Great time with Chef Sean on our tour. We took our 6 year old and she had a blast (disclaimer: she is a bit of a foodie and eats everything). So much to see, taste, and learn.
Twinkle Liboon
One of the best ways to experience the highlights of Pike Place! The price is perfect and the food selection will have your tummy and mind full :)
Chef Brendan was a very good and friendly guide. Thanks for the experience!
Charleen Borger
Our young, handsome guide, Sylus, skillfully led us on a tour of Pikes Market on a VERY BUSY Sunday. The food samples, history and points of interest were AMAZING.
My husband was simultaneously NOT enjoying his art tour, which he left early to enjoy my new Pikes Market prowess!
As each guide's focus varies a little, I plan to sign up for this tour again!
Yael Acre
A delicious and filling walk around Pike Place Market with enough historical facts to make it interesting. Chef Brendan was enthusiastic and I highly recommend this tour for tourists and locals to get to know their city better.
Gillian Roehrig
Chef Eric was a great guide. He shared interesting information about the history of Pike Market and we got to try a wide variety of food ranging from Beechers cheese to other local start-ups in the market. I highly recommend this tour
Nichole Lundy
Chef Sean was amazing. Thanks for a great tour. Learned a lot about the market and the food stops were great. They easily accommodated my tree nut allergy as well.
Abe Santos
Chef Sylas brings a dearth of culinary wisdom & historical background information that enhanced our appreciation of each & every stop of the tour. The socio-economic context he provides shows how much pride & respect we should have for Pike Place Market & the people & establishments that comprise it. This is a must do for everyone who wants to know & experience Seattle!
Andrea Devers
I have a far better appreciation for the Market thanks to this tour! Brendan gave so much great insight into all of the different vendors we visited and even some that we didn’t get the chance to. So much to explore here.
Shannon Ferguson
Sylas was an awesome guide. Spoke nice and clear, and super knowledgeable when it came to history of Seattle, and culinary details. I'd recommend doing this over lunch. And closer to the start of your trip as it helps orient and navigate yourself around slightly.
Davld LeBlanc
Chef Sean was a great guide (as we're the guides for the other two tours I booked from you). He gave us a lot of history of Pike's market as well as getting us some great tastings.
Cee Gee
Team Brendan all the way. Amazing, fun and a must do when visiting Seattle. We took this walking food tour with Chef Brendan and he was just a joy. He really loves this city and had great stories and insight about Seattle and Pikes Market .
Thank you!!
Paige Perry Wilder
Eric was absolutely wonderful. The places we went to were unique and all the food tasted great. Eric had so much great information and answered our questions with enthusiasm. Definitely ask for him if you go on this tour!
Tanja Curtis
What a wonderful experience for the mind and the taste buds! Liz was an awesome tour guide and provide just enough fun facts (even for locals to learn) and great bites (9 bites) from all around the market! I hoping to discover places I have never experienced before and we did! Great birthday party event. We are coming back!
Anne Batzer
Funky, creative, colorful, entertaining and delectable—these adjectives describe Pike Place Market and our guide, Chef John. We got a good start on understanding this landmark and it’s unique culture. We are so glad we started our exploration of Seattle on this charming tour.
Jessica Boutte
I loved the whole experience. We are big foodies, and we weren’t disappointed! Probably the best food tour I’ve taken in any city. Sylas was amazing and knowledgeable! 10 out of 10, would recommend!!
Elaine Hilal
Great experience for a first timer to Seattle. I would highly recommend. The tour guide/chef (Eric) was very funny and informative. All samples of food were delicious.
Salvador Paniagua
The best tour around at pike place. I highly recommend checking it out. The chefs are very knowledgeable and will try their best to answer any questions you might have in the food or history behind everything. It’s totally fun and worth it. Get familiar with pike place before you venture out on your own!
Catherine Clarke
We had a great time on this tour. Chef John took us all over the Market and gave us so many samples. He took us to places we would have never found ourselves, and knew the history so well.
John Johannes
Super fun, tasty and insightful. Brendan, my guide, was super enthusiastic about the market, it's history and all the amazing food. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a fun filled afternoon filled with good food.
Victoria Hill
Chef John took us on a great tour, we never would’ve found half the places we saw if we’d been on our own. Pike place Market is HUGE. Chef John was full of fun facts and history of the market, would definitely recommend.
Danielle Zeldin
Chef John was an excellent guide. Full of energy, information and got us so many delicious bites. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seattle!
Brandon & Edward Martin
Absolutely Fabulous tour! Highly recommend!!! We had such an amazing time. The food was sooo good and learning about the history was such a great bonus! It was a great progression! Eric was amazing! I would do this again and again! Team Eric!!
david g
Our tour guide chef John was amazing and while we throughly enjoyed this tour, we did not get to sample many of the top tier places we
walked by . We though that we would be able to sample
many of the items people were standing in line for hours to taste. While that did happen at a couple of places it was not enough to earn a 5 star rating. This is what we had besides the wonderful history lesson
1. salmon jerky sample which anyone can walk up and get
2 some kind of smoked fish at a different please which anyone can get
3 tea sample no line
4 Pikes award wining clam chowder which there was a long line for but our guide brought out samples for us . Amazing an just about the highlight of the food portion of the tour
5 cheese curds and aged cheese , penne pasta pretty good as well but the line formed for the grilled cheese sandwiches which we did not sample
6 beef street taco just 1 and it was pretty bland and probably why no one was eating there
7 pizza , also bland no line and definitely nothing special
8 truffle samples , these were spectacular and we went back after the tour and bought some items to send home. No line here either
8 candy samples , good but not spectacular.
9 Cheesy biscuit
You can clearly see as you walk the market the places that are to die for and very difficult to obtain because of the long lines . I thought that this tour would allow us to sample these gems but other than the clam chowder place , all other locations were easily accessible by anyone . Again , we enjoyed the tour but I just wish there was more to it even if it cost more just give us that inside scoop into the best of the best at pikes market .
Lucas Severson
Very fun tour with Chef Sylas! He took us to all of his favorite places at the market, served delicious food and gave a great history of the market. Definitely recommend!
Kevin Walsh
The Pike Market food tour was wonderful. Silas did a great job of entertaining, educating, and feeding our group. Highly recommended.
Quoc Nguyen
Our family had a wonderful time on this amazing food tour. Highly recommended if you want to sample delicious quality foods without waiting in line and also get to know the history of Seattle/Pike Place.
alfonso rattrovo
Chef Sean was a sweet and salty intro to the culinary scene at the Market. Highly recommended for early in any trip to Seattle because he's going to tell you all about where to go and what to eat for the rest of your stay!
Liz Garrett
Love that this tour is chef-led. Eric was so knowledgeable about all the different foods we sampled, and received secret side-door entry to most of “the places with the long lines”. Absolutely kicked our weekend off to the best start.
Karla A.
Loved this tour! We're locals and learned so much from Chef Silas. And the food was absolutely incredible! It was plentiful and there was a good variety. Highly recommended!
Amanda Hartley
Excellent tour! We were on team Eric and he did a fantastic tour of the market. Great way to learn about the history and taste a little bit of everything without waiting in long lines.
Joyce Kimball
Completely delicious! Chef Silas was a fantastic tour guide with stories about Pike Place as well as the dishes and shops in the Market.
Nicki Magee
Sylas was amazing!! Great time seeing all the hidden gems of Pikes Market.
Ata Rahman
We had a wonderful time touring Pike Place Market with Chef Sean. He was very accommodating to our dietary constraints and had a wonderful rapport with our tour group and with all of the merchants we encountered.
Whitney Kiepura
Awesome insider tour for one of the most popular spots in Seattle. We loved John’s tour through Pikes Place. We sampled about 10 different stores and a variety of cuisines and flavors. Can’t recommend more. John’s sense of humor was a great addition to the history, and he seemingly knew everyone in the market! It was truly a local-led tour. A must do for any visitor
Theresa Boylan
Great way to explore Pike Place Market. The tour stopped at places we might not have tried on our own, and there's no waiting in line. Chef Eric was full of information about the market and the history of Seattle.
Leslie Rubin
Chef Sean was engaging, knowledgeable & fun. We ate tons of delicious food so come hungry! My favorites were the Maiz taco, The Clam Chowder & Truffles! But every stop was worthwhile. Thanks
Lauren Shea
Appreciated the knowledge and experience of the host and not having to wait in lines. Enjoyed the chowder stop, as well as the tea and taco spot. I'm not entirely sure I would do it again or recommend to others. I think you can achieve the same type of experience if you just do a little research on your own and hit the vendors you want. I have to say, the reason I'm writing this review is because I was really turned off by our guide's abrasive attitude towards others that weren't on the tour. I have a sense of humor and am not an overly sensitive person, but dare someone outside our group not realize it's a private tour and they ask our guide a question, they will be chastised and unnecessarily made fun of for not realizing they were asking the wrong person. It seemed to get worse as the tour went along, to the point where I decided to leave the tour before it ended, and personally apologized to the international tourist that was treated like some kind of idiot by our guide. I'm sorry, I just don't get it and think it's a bad look. There are easier and kinder ways to redirect other people trying to have a good experience, as well.

Chef Shawn was fantastic! He was knowledgeable about the community and it’s history. The food was delicious and represented the community. We had a great time.
Angela Muir
We loved our food tour of Pike Place Market, it was one of our favorite things we did on our recent trip to Seattle. The tour guide is not just a wealth of knowledge about the food in Pike Place but also the history of the market and the people who run and own the businesses inside. While you are on the tour you skip lines, like the famously long line of pike place chowder, because the tour guide goes up and gets your sample for you. The samples were not chintzy but medium- large sample sizes and with the amount of food that you consume at 10 different locations you really wouldn’t want them to be any bigger. If you’re going to Seattle and plan on going to Pike Place (because how could you not) you should definitely take this tour!
Susan Scales
I thoroughly enjoyed the Chef guided Pike Place tour. Both the narrative and the food samples were very good! I highly recommended it!
Kayla Adair
Eric was great, he was thoughtful and accommodating. The tour was great, lots of history about Seattle and lots of knowledge about the food. All of the food was delicious!!! 10 out of 10! Team Eric!!!
Jean Magee
This was a wonderful food tour - our guide Eric was knowledgeable about food, the restaurants on the tour, Seattle history! Great stories! Team Eric was great and we would do this again
Chad W
Eric was a great host. Very knowledgeable and great personality. Wasn't a dull moment on the tour, had great food and learned about the history of the area.
Darrell Harken
Chef John Did a great job challenge to history of the market and taking us around and guiding us in a very humorous and informative manner! Thank you sir looking forward to seeing you again sometime.
Sean McFarlane
My wife and I visit the market often. However, this tour brought us experiences we didn’t know existed. Not only educational, but fun and delicious as well.
Highly recommend to anyone.
Suzanne Lugotoff
Fast pace, in dearth view, and experience of Seattle’s finest gems in Pikes Market. Wonderfully presented by Chef John.
Worth a second trip next time we are in town!
Craig Smith
Great tour - really learned a lot about the market and ate a nice range of good food along the way. Our guide, Brendan, had great stories and a lot of energy and took good care of us all.
Jason Cecil
Chef Brendan was a charismatic and informative host. We got to experience a variety of vendors and would definitely book this tour again.
Maribel Meekins
Great tour! Our Chef tour guide (Brendan) was knowledgeable and attentive. He shared lots of hidden gems with us during our tour.
Phyllis Sullivan
A great way to learn about the history of Pike Place while enjoying the unique foods of the region. Shawn was terrific, even on a cold, rainy afternoon.
Kenneth Tinkham
This was a very impressive tour with a very fun host. "Chef John" did a great job of taking us from place to place and maneuvering us through all the wonderful chaos. A lot of fun.. highly recommended!!
April Merriman
Great tour! History and food, what more can you ask for!?! I never knew Pike Place Market was so huge. Enjoyed my time thoroughly!
Nick S
Our tour guide Sean was such a down to earth and personable guy. He made the tour fun, and kept us feeling welcome. Would definitely recommend to any visiting tourists!
Jonathan Pinkney
One of the best tours I’ve ever taken! Chef John was an amazing, incredibly knowledgeable guide and the food samples were delicious!
Liz
Chef Sean was fantastic! Even as a local, I learned so much about the area. It's a great deal, and if you go to the 2:30 slot, you get a killer view of the sunset off the bay at the end :)
Adriana Rocha
Would highly recommend for visitors and locals! Every stop was a delicious experience! Chef Sylas was very knowledgeable on every stop. Fun way to start the holidays!
Amanda R
What an incredible experience! The food was delicious, the instruction was fun and informative, and it was a hands on experience! They're truly interested in connecting the community to the farmers around us. We learned about the history of Pike's Place, where and when to get the freshest produce, and how to make some Northwest cuisine. This is a business I can stand behind.
We came for a team outing but I would come back with my family or for a date/night out.
Tom Goodwin
Excellent tour of the best foodie spots at the Pike Place Market. At least 10 stops, everything from beignets to clam chowder to blackened salmon.
Miriam Reeves
Highly recommended! Eric was great… just the right blend of tasty samples and PikePlace history. Go Team Eric!
Katelyn Metzger
Chef Branden was knowledgeable and did an amazing job telling us about Pike Place and had a great selection of food. Worth every penny!
Melissa Samp
Sylus was great and so informative. We got a LOT of samples and learned insider information about Pike Place that could only come from a chef. Great tour.
Emily Goodyear
The cooking class and market tour was so wonderful! Chef Eric was excellent, as well as the other staff helping out. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the class so much! I liked how it was laid back, you could participate as much or as little as you would like. Some sat back and maybe helped with one or two steps, other more enthusiastic folks helped with most every step of the making the meal. It was casual, fun and I feel like I learned some great cooking tips. I enjoyed the Mardi Gras theme of the meal! We are locals and I learned a lot about Pike Place I did not know. I'd recommend to anyone!
Chris Cobb
Bredan is awesome! Learned a bunch, even as Seattle natives, and had some great eats. The Maiz tacos were incredible!
sidney gunter
Chef Eric was our guide and he was INCREDIBLE! He had such a rich knowledge of the food that he was sharing with us and it was obvious that he was involved with and adored the community that he was leading us through. The food was delicious, the conversation was amazing, and his knowledge, background, and expertise was unmatched! Everyone that comes to the Seattle area should definitely book a food tour, it was one of the biggest highlights of our trip :)
Liz Min
Chef Eric was wonderful. He had great mix of history of the market, cooking advice and delicious samples. We had wandered the market the day before and my teen boys were not terribly invested. By the end of the tour, they were so excited to go back and visit the shops Eric had shown us. My favorite part was getting an understanding of the mission of the market and all of the good the organization does for the community. Delicious tour!
Chas Rickarby
Chef Sean was phenomenal. Obviously super experienced, and I think knows every single person who works in pike place. Super personable, and had some great stories to share, along with tons of historical facts of the market and Seattle in general. On top of everything had some great recommendations for us for food and drink post tour! Loved it and would highly recommend.
T Coutee
Chef John was entertaining and informative.
Love the different vendors and assortment of food being offered. Definitely an experience I would recommend while visiting Seattle.
Many people around the market were interested in joining the tour!!
Hope to have the opportunity again soon.
Michelle Diaz
We booked the first tour on a chilly Friday morning. Chef John was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of each place we visited. We enjoyed all the food we tasted and went back to buy from each vendor the following day! The 2 hours flew by but we would’ve walked around with him all day if we could to get more recommendations on places to eat or get snacks. Definitely a must do if you’re in Seattle and love to eat and shop at Pike Place Market.
Julia Garrett
This tour was worth it! Chef John was an amazing tour guide. His vast knowledge of Seattle's culture and food made this tasting tour extremely satisfying. His true dedication for the food and the gems that make pikes market and surrounding areas that much more amazing. I went back the next day and purchased some of the best salmon and squid jerky from Dale at the totem smokehouse. I also made some purchases from truffle queen for gifts for myself. This was a great tour and Chef John made my experience memorable. Cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of Seattle!
Marie Casey-Burke
Chef Sean was a Fantastic guide to behind the food scene at the Pike Place Market. He was friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Market and current programs that look after the seniors who used to work at there as well.
I would recommend this tour to anyone. Come hungry and ready to try great food samples.
Christopher Worley
The Chef Guided Food Tour of Pike Place was AWESOME!
Pike Place market can certainly be intimidating, especially your first visit, but this tour will give you everything you need to make the market more approachable.
Chef Brendan did a fantastic job with the tour. Having a chef as the guide you get a great perspective of the market, food scene, and trusted recommendations.
All the places we stopped at has fantastic food. On the tour you also go to some of the quieter places you might not find on your own and get a little bit of non-food info/history. It's a really well balanced tour.
While the chowder was amazing - the food highlight for me was definitely the taco from Maiz (we went back and got more on our own).
Book this tour - you won't be disappointed!
Philip Ahn
The guide was knowledgeable and engaging.
He shared his local knowledge of the market in a manner that didn't make you need a nap.
We explored many of the public areas on the multitude of levels.
Being able to skip the lines and take advantage of the many tastings was the real highlight of the tour.
We found two vendors with whom we were able to use the 10% discount being a tour member got us.
Thanks for that also!
Most useful information imparted probably all of it.
I will definitely recommend this tour and Chef John.
Andy Cammack
Had a great tour with Chef Shaun around the Seattle Pike Street Market.
Shaun is a proper chef and his enthusiasm and knowledge of the market, the owners and their produce was excellent!
He took us to parts of the market that we had missed in the previous two days in Seattle!!
Well worth taking this tour..just don't leave it until your last day in town like we did, as you will discover many extra interesting shops and stalls to visit!!
Michael Pohl
Our travel agency booked us this tour and we absolutely loved it! Chef Eric was awesome! Not only did he do a great job of teaching us about the history of Pike Place, but he did a great job of explaining the food, giving us cooking tips, and even answered a few of our own random cooking questions. We also ate at one of the restaurants he recommended based on our likes, and he hit the nail on the head.
BOOK IT!
Veronika Walker
We enjoyed the tour, Sean was friendly and knowledgeable. The food we sampled was wonderful, we especially liked the lavender coffee at the start, the smoked BBQ and the truffle store. If I had to give any constructive feedback I would say we were thirsty by the middle of the tour and it would have been nice to incorporate another drink sample. All in all a very good experience. Thank you.
Carissa Oberbroeckling
Chef John was amazing!!! He was so informative and funny that it made the tour to exciting! This was our very first experience in Seattle and it couldn’t have been better! Chef John introduced us to so many different people and all of the different tastings were delicious! So fun and worth the experience!!!
Paul Walker
Eric did a great job of leading a tasting tour through part of Pike Place Market. While limited, to a small area, it gave a great and well-rounded piece of the pit that is available for consumption in the area. The history and learning about the area is always nice when it comes to visiting cities across the US and this tour did not disappoint there. Eric did a good job of managing the people who kept trying to swipe samples from him and it is nice that the tour does give a 10 percent discount to the involved shops as well. If you like to just learn a little more about Pike Place Market, some of the vendors there, and try some really good food, then this is the right tour for you.
manticvii
Chef Eric provided us with a world class tour! I am from Seattle and brought out of town guests. I learned so much about a place I've known for years. We tasted delicious food! You really can tell there's a real community to Pike Place Market and Chef Eric is a member. Feels like an insider's access to a world of amazing food and products. Couldn't recommend his tours more!!!
Kaitlyn Day
We did the 10am on a Tuesday tour with Sean and it was EXCELLENT. This was the first thing we did on our trip here and I’m so glad it was first because we tried SO much good food, and not we have a good jumping off point to all the other places to explore during our time here. The food was incredible and the history and knowledge shared was priceless. 10/10 would recommend! If your on the fence about which food tour to book, BOOK THIS ONE.
Thomas Ward
This was an Amazing way to spend 2hrs of our Day in Seattle! Only issue is I wish it was longer! Chief Sean was awesome! If I make it back to Seattle I will definitely take this tour again and ask for Chief Sean. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you very much for the information and tour Chief Sean. The food you had lined up was simply Beautifully delicious!!!
Alexis Orr
We had a tour with chef John, and it was amazing! We saw and learned so many cool things about the market that we wouldn't have seen exploring on our own. Chef John is laid back and easy to talk to, and has so much knowledge regarding the history of the area. I would definitely recommend this tour if you're visiting and have the time. So worth it!
Daniel Osers
What a great tour. There the touristy stuff - which if you like you can always go for - and then there are the real food tours. This is the latter and if you re good with that, go for it! Meeting real people, real business and the little places you wouldn't normally go to. Our host, Sean, was fantastic (and genuine), and we ended up in many of his haunts later on to spend more time in. You'll find the flying fish yourself - go on a food tour and learn something about the real market. Eat Seattle rocks!
Julie Axelrod
This has been the best part of our trip to Seattle! Exec Chef Sean was an excellent guide, you could tell he’s passionate and cares very much about the food, places and people who make up the Pikes market. Loved all the food tastings, and I like that this tour pays each vendor for their tasting and doesn’t expect a freebie. The rooftop garden was a lovely sight and it’s wonderful how everyone looks out for each other. GREAT experience!!!
Hanna
Chef John told us the history and showed us around Pike Place market. He told us all the good spots and gave us samples of some really great food, such as cheese curds, tacos, pizza, chocolate covered cherries, smoked salmon, yogurt, clam chowder, and tea. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re from out of town and have never been to Pike Place Market!
Denise Campagnolo
This tour was amazing, chef Eric was great. He expertly guided us through streets and alleys to gems of basically street food places… delicious all in Pikes market . But beyond great samples was the history and rid bits of knowledge he gave us. Don’t leave Seattle without doing this walking your !
Cristal Meidinger
What an incredible afternoon with Eric (TEAM ERIC)!! We booked our Pike Place Markey Chefs tour for our friends birthday. Eric was the perfect guide for our team of 5 longtime locals.
He was enthusiastic about the the food and the history of the market - we learned so much! It was clear that he had great knowledge and great connections. Every step was well coordinated and we got to experience the Market through the eyes of a culinary expert who was passionate about local food. Highly recommend!
Thank you, Eric for the fun, “skip the line” day!
Ken Peterson
Chef Sean was a fantastic tour guide! Like any great chef, he dealt with the added construction on Pine & improvised yet still delivered a fun, entertaining, educational and delicious tour. We sampled wonderful food from both new & staples of Pikes’s Place Market all while learning the history behind it. He even took requests and made suggestions for later on. Would whole heartedly recommend Sean & this tour.
Gail Shallcross
Wonderful overview of the Market! Branden did a great job of showing us a lot of places within the Market in two hours. Food was fantastic, and a discount was offered at all the locations for us to buy things to take home. Lots of walking and lots of steps, but well worth the ticket!
Archie Garcia
Chef Eric was awesome. He was very informative and clearly, passionate about the food tour he helped organize for our group.
Food samples were very delicious, memorable, and by the end, filling. I expect to go back and try a few of them during my travels in Seattle.
Anyway, highly recommend this food tour. And if you can have Chef Eric lead the way even better.
Maria Davis
Spent the morning with Chef Sean who showed us the best hidden gems of Pike Place Market. He shared so much great information and insight. I can't even decide what my favorite taste of the day was! Great way to tour the market.
Laura Martin
Excellent tour! Great overview of the market and tasted so much food without waiting in any lines! Learned things we would have never known just walking through Pike’s Market on our own. Chef Shawn was a great guide and clearly loves the market community.
Mary Miller
Chef Sean was great! He tells you all about the history of the Market, gives you the background stories of the shops/owners, and teaches you about how they are working to protect the environment. So much more than a simple tasting tour. Loved it and will recommend.
Kelsey McLagan
Chef Eric was awesome! We were booked through a surprise trip company and were super looking forward to the chef guided tour and it did not disappoint. So much history, good cooking tips, and just a good time overall. Plenty of food which ended up acting as basically a meal for my partner and I because we were full after it. Showed us a lot of awesome places in the market we probably wouldn't have been able to try or wouldn't have thought to try. Cannot recommend enough! Especially if you can get Chef Eric!!
Michaela Logan
Such a great way to experience the Pike Place Market. John was a great tour guide- full of energy and interesting facts about the market. I would highly recommend this if it’s your first time to Seattle
Greg Nunamaker
The food scene at Pike Place is daunting to say the least! It was great to have someone with insider knowledge take us around and show us some highlights and insights. Chef Sean was knowledgeable and personable and made the tour very authentic, educational, and fun!
We had to leave Seattle the next day and, unfortunately, our tour ended just as Pike Placed closed up so we weren't able to go back and purchase food we learned about :/ I recommend getting an earlier tour or leaving room the next day to apply what you learned and support local restaurants and vendors.
Kelli Ruderman
Eat Seattle’s tour of Pike’s Place Market was SO cool! Chef Sean was very knowledgeable and his passion for food was evident. We got to see parts of the market that would have been next to impossible to stumble upon. We ate our way through the place and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! If you’ve got a couple hours while visiting Seattle take this tour!!!!
Drew Knapp
Chef John was the man! Really felt like we got the best possible Seattle Pike Place market experience. Would recommend to anyone. Fun afternoon and now I’m excited to go back to Pike Place market.
Catherine Larson-Nath
Amazing tour! Our guide Sean was very knowledgeable and the small group size was wonderful compared to some of the larger groups we saw walking around. I highly recommend Eat Seattle one of the top food tours we have ever done.
Curtis DeCoste
We had a fantastic tour with Eric. We stopped into so many great little nooks and crannies of the Public Market, having delicious samples and interesting stories at every stop. Totally worth your time, we loved being a part of “team Eric” for the afternoon.
Dave Yeats
Took the family on the walking food tour and it was perfect. Entertaining, informative, and an efficient way to make our way through the “greatest hits” at the Pikes Place Market. Eric our guide was able to sub out some selections due to a gluten allergy in our party, and most of the places were naturally gluten free. Team Eric was great! Highly recommended.
Caitlin Markarian
This was so much fun! My husband and I decided to do this little excursion for anniversary even though we live in the area. It was a super fun and unique way to explore a place where you already live especially since we don’t really go into Seattle and explore on our own that much. The tour guide was hilarious and super knowledgeable about everything I feel like we really got a well-rounded tour especially of some of the smaller places
Christina Yip
This was such a great way to see Pike Place Market! Brendan was great, fun, and knowledgeable. Everything we tried was delicious and all the vendors were extremely gracious and nice. Highly recommend!
Olivia Lewis
This is a MUST DO if you’re visiting Seattle! You get to know all about this history and surprising sustainability practices of the famous Pikes Place Market. The tours are guided by executive chefs who not only know the area well but have genuine relationships with the shop owners. The food is incredible and you’ll get amazing recommendations you can trust. Shout out to Chef Sean for an amazing tour. Highly recommend!
Lynn Skluzacek
We had an amazing tour eating delicious food today. Our chef tour guide Sylas was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had sample after sample ranging from barbecue, biscuits, clam chowder, salmon, truffle oils, chocolate, and chocolate chip cookies. We learned a lot about the area as well as the food we sampled. Highly recommend!
jeff brisman
Chef John. Was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Moved along quickly and gave us slot of information. He was fun and uplifting. The food we ate on the tour was fantastic. I highly recommend
Kim Alvarez
Our chef guide was Sean (hope that is spelled right). He was amazing! Very knowledgeable and down to earth. One person on the tour was a local and even they were impressed. Samples were good portions and you do not leave the tour hungry. Pace was good and every moved really well. I went back afterwards to a few of chef's recommendations and was not disappointed.
brissywc
After going on our EAT SEATTLE tour at Pike’s Marketplace, we had to go get a bigger helping of the Beechers Mac-n-Cheese and grab another chowder from Pike Place Chowder. There were so many delicious food choices we would not have known about if we hadn’t gone on the tour. The historical info was a plus. Our tour guide, Eric, did a great job!
Kelly McCloskey
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our tour with chef Sean! He was extremely knowledgeable about all things food and pike market specifically. We definitely plan on doing the tour again the next time we’re in Seattle (each tour can take you to different places!) and would 10000% recommend taking the tour to anyone visiting. I’d also recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your trip because Sean pointed out a bunch of great food and drinking locations that we definitely would have checked out if we weren’t leaving later that day.
Pamela Runciman
Chef Eric was fabulous! My husband and I live in Seattle and decided to be tourists in our town. We are so glad we did and highly recommend this tour whether local or out of town! Great samples! Loads of information and fun event! Take a tour!
Kasim Salahuddin
Had an excellent guided food tour through SLU with Chef Eric. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was quiet and scenic compared to the hustle and bustle of Pike Place. Eric is knowledgeable and witty and was always there with napkins when we needed him most.
Brian Marx
John was absolutely outstanding. He had an amazing knowledge of the market and you could tell he knew all of the places we went and they knew him. I loved his sense of humor and the food was incredible at every stop. If you are looking for a tour in Seattle this is a must do!!
D Parker
Excellent tour with Chef John w who is a bundle of energy and knowledge! Tastings were fun with some really lovely bits. Even though we live near Seattle we learnt lots about the market we didn’t know. Pace was good and group size worked well (11 people).
Monica Young
Amazing tour, not only you get small bites of some of the best food places at Pike Place Market, but you get a great historical overview of the area.
Chef Erick was amazing. Very knowledgeable, fun, and attentive.
Come hungry, because even though the samples are small, they are plenty to get you full...
Emma M
Eric was a great guide and knew so much about all the places we stopped at. The food was amazing and there were more samples than I expected. We had a great time!
Callie Martinez
Wonderful experience! Of course i wish we have bigger portions because everything was delicious! Sean was a great guide and was very accommodating. Would do again.
David Casady
10/10 would recommend. Bonafide chef Shawn gave a fantastic tour and food samples were wonderful. We saw and tasted more from the market than we ever would have otherwise and had a great time doing it.
Lisa G
Tour was great john was fabulous. The food was great and history super. Thank you so much we went back and hit the Philippine place, pieroshky. Soo delicious. Our favourite stop was truffle store. Went back there too thank you again it was a great way to spend Father’s Day
Benjamin Sessions
Chef Sylas gave us an awesome tour of the market. Super upbeat and energetic (which was needed bc of the heat!). Felt like we got a good cross-section of what could be an overwhelming selection of options. Highly recommend.
Nick Andrianas
Chef John was not only the best tour guide we could have asked for for the Pike Place food tour, but I think he may have been one of the best tour guids for any tour I've been on at all! Engaging, knowledgeable, funny, quirky, and clearly knew the "insider" info about the market to get us hooked up with great tastings and make us feel like an extension of the insiders club.
The tour was 2 hours, only about 12 people, and mazed through the market's many floors, alleys, and lookout points (some great viewpoints to stop and enjoy your samples). It's dizzying in its design and chaos, but that's what makes it so much fun! Could not recommend this tour any more highly to anyone who's interested in food or getting to know the city from a really fun perspective!
Jerry Morgan
Brendan was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and courteous of not only the food but the history of the area. He really made the experience unforgettable. I look forward to returning to Seattle in the future and hope to get him again,
Irina A
I really enjoyed this food tour. Sylas is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It's a great intro to Pike Place Market, the tour helped exploring it on my own later on.
Valeria Reynoso
Super Sylas made the tour fun, interactive, informative and special. He brought out the personality of the market through his knowledge of the history, locations and hidden gems that we seemed to miss during our prior visit to market. I highly recommend the tour and particularly Sylas, well worth the cost!
Beth Gray
Chef Sean was great. We went to 9 different locations around the market and not all that were on the original list. I like that Chef Sean set the stage for the day from the beginning and that he was very upfront and direct. He made sure that all questions were asked and answered. Highly recommend this food tour!
Gregory Sefian
The tour was phenomenal and gives you a great feel for the marketplace! I'd totally do another one if they had an alternate version available.it delves a great deal into the food itself and some of the work that goes into the final product you get.
Bill Anderson
A very good tour of the market and some of the yummy bites. Saw places I don’t think we would have seen without the tour. Guide was great for the tour, but if you are looking for a sit down chef experience this isn’t the tour for you.
Ruth Taylor
A truly interesting tour. All of the different foods offered were first class. Chef Eric was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the food discussed. I could not recommend this tour High enough.
Kevin and Lisa Konzen
Excellent tour, with tastings of a variety of local foods. Add a little local history and you have an excellent way to spend 2 hours. Chef Eric was terrific!
Astrella Stone
Really enjoyed the foodie tour with John. He was really funny, witty, and informative. He definitely knew his way around and knew a lot of people. Loved the food we sampled. Definitely encourage everyone to do this tour with him.
Shawn Sexton
Our Chef guided food tour of Pike’s Place Market was amazing. Our guide, Executive Chef Sean Welch was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, passionate and personable. Looking forward to following up on all the insider info he passed on to us. Highly recommended tour.
Joan
Our guide, Chef Sean, was amazing! He is quite knowledgeable about the Market and made our tour entertaining with his stories about the restaurant owners. It is obvious he has a history with these people and isn't just 'doing his job'. I learned so much and highly recommend this tour!
jan janken
We have done many food tours in Europe, South America, and major cities in the US. Today we were disappointed, not the worst tour ever but also not the best. Eating at each place was rushed. Also on the 2 hour tour there was never one chance to sit down. The sequencing of the tastings seemed to have no plan, chocolate in the middle as well as at the end.
DJ
Sylas was a WONDERFUL host! He gave us honest opinions on a variety of places in Pike Place. We went back to almost all of the shops after the tour and purchased food or items. Thanks for the best first day!
Nelda Jones
Chef Sean and all of the places we visited were phenomenal! I would recommend doing this tour the 1st day of your visit so you will know where to eat the rest of your trip! This tour is a must do!
Sakina Jafferjee
Very informative tour! Chef John was amazing and authentic. He seems to be loved by all in the market and has been around for a long time. Great samples to try on the tour and it was very accommodating for food restrictions! Way better than answering the market on your own since lots of stuff would probably pass you by!
Jessica Baker
Wonderful tour. Chef Brendan was very knowledgeable and personable. Made to tour very fun! A great way to tour the market and eat some great food.
Bailey Melton
Chef Eric is phenomenal! He was so knowledgeable about the food and the history and was so welcoming! The food was amazing and we had the best time! 11/10
Shannon Sparks
Chef Carolyn was amazing. She sprained her foot the night before but she was a trooper and show us the best time and to die for food. Thanks for a wonderful time.
Myles Foshee
Liz was great! She was very informative and we are a lot of different food! I’ve been to pike place a few times and still learned a lot about the history of the market!
Karin Brier
Come hungry! All the samples definitely equaled a full meal. Variety of places was great as well. Some well known places (where you don't have to wait in line!) & some places off the beaten path. Definitely recommend if you like a variety of food.
Norm LaVriha
Absolutely one one best food tours we have ever taken. Sean was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He made this tour unforgettably memorable!
Wilbert Freeland
Thoroughly enjoyed the rich experience gained via the walking tour. We got 'amazing' info on the history of the world famous Seattle Pier Market, tasted many wonderful food samples and had an excellent tour guide! Yea... Team Sylas!!! Truly an enjoyable outing!
Blake Wilson
The tour was fantastic. Sylas was very knowledgeable and friendly. The choices for food samples were very good. We’ve done food tours in many cities and this was one of the absolute best. We would gladly come again and we will strongly recommend it to others!!!
Carrielyn Weber
The tour was amazing - the samples were unique and diverse. We wanted to go back to all of the stores and experience more of the options. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the day extremely fun! Highly recommend.
Laura Rodde
My team thoroughly enjoyed this. Even though almost all of us are local we learned about some new spots, tasted delicious food from trusted faves and new spots off the beaten path. Everyone had a blast. John was a great guide!
Harshil Patel
Definitely a must do if you're visiting Seattle. Walked through Pike Place with Chef Brendan, very informative tour, stopped at some places that I wouldn't normally have, and loved it!
Stephanie Munro

I would 100% recommend this tour with Sean! I tried some amazing foods and had the best time without feeling intimidated or lost in the size of the market.

Amazing tasting tour. Chef Eric was very knowledgeable about the history of the market and the food he selected for the tasting was amazing. Be sure you come hungry!
Alli Lapps
amazing tour with chef! would highly suggest for locals and tourists alike!

Eric was awesome leading our SLU food tour. We all had a great time even on a hot summer day. The restaurants he picked were delicious and memorable, definitely ones to come back to in the future. Thanks again! #TeamEric
druidfog12
John was fun and showed us all of the nooks and cranny's of the market. The place is a maze. Also a great collection of food that we sampled. With no wait!
Savannah Vincent
This was a great experience. I think we would’ve been overwhelmed in the pike place market without this guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area & businesses, and everything was delicious. Would recommend!
Courtney Baker

This was an awesome experience and a great way to see Pike Place Market without waiting in lines for samples. Chef Eric was informative about the history of the place, and also about food and cooking in general. We had a great time and sampled some great food, which was a great early lunch. One of the highlights of our trip!
Ariel Gaines
Team Eric!!! Our Chef Eric was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable. We tried some of the markets best. Everything moved so smoothly. We were with our 71 year old grandmother and Eric was accommodating while she walked slowly. We also had food allergies that Chef Eric accommodated along with the shops. This tour is for everyone even if you have food allergies or don’t eat meat.
Heidi Morris
We had the BEST time on our tour with Eat Seattle. So informative and fast moving! Our tour guide, Eric, was really knowledgeable on the market, food and Seattle overall. He was funny, upbeat and made the 2 hours fly by. This was our first food tour and I will definitely look up food tours in every city we go to from here in out. If you’re on the fence, trust your stomach!! Haha. So good!
Pamela Reale
We LOVED this tour with Chef Eric! Great background information on the market and surrounding area, and especially on the food itself. Fantastic samples and recommendations on where to eat in the market and around town. We highly recommend along this tour!

I thought it was a great was to try a variety of foods while exploring the market. Chef John is very knowledgeable and seems to know every single person working the market. Lots and lots of stairs/walking so wear comfy shoes! I would recommend this to everyone.
Lexxi Varner
Eric was the best! We had so much fun learning about the market and restaurants and trying some tasty food!
Kay Jones
I loved this tour. We were able to learn the history of the market and some of the shops as well as try different kinds of food and drink. Our tour guide, John was very knowledgable and funny. I recommend it to everyone. There is a lot of walking so if you struggle with walking you should proceed with caution.
Janna Newman
Our tour with Eat Seattle gave us a good grounding for exploring Pike Place Market further. I would recommend this tour as early in your visit as possible so you know what you’d like to revisit. The tastings were all delicious and a great variety. Would do this tour again when visiting Seattle…apparently every tour is a little different!
Eddie Ranchigoda
Six of us did this tour with Chef Eric for my sister's birthday. As a former long-time Seattleite, I mostly did this to be a part of the birthday celebration, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it and learned about my old hometown. Eric was not just informative about the food, but also the Pike Place area's history and foodie culture. His passion for food quality and sustainability shined through, and the 2 hours flew by. My only knock was that I felt a little sugar shock from the too many sweet tastes included. Would have preferred 1-2 additional savory stops to replace the cookie or cherries at the end.
Nancy
Chef John was extremely friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable on the ins and outs of the market. He was also very good at updating plans last second if a sample booth was unexpectedly closed or not ready for us, keeping the flow steady and fun throughout. Thank you for a wonderful intro to the market!
Rebeccah Lee
I highly recommend taking this tour if you are in the Seattle area! I have been to Seattle a few times, but have only spent minutes in Pike's Market each time. After taking this tour I plan to spend much more time there!
Chef Sean Welsh was FANTASTIC! My friends and I could tell he was truly passionate about the history of Seattle, supporting local businesses and, of course, the food! We got to try some delicious food (without having to wait in the long lines) and learn about the history of Seattle. I have always loved Seattle, but have even more of an appreciation of this city after taking this tour. Highly recommend!
Meagan Canipe
Had the best time! 10 out 10 recommend!!! So much food and John was so passionate and informative about the market!
jordan fadness
My friend and I went on the tour when she came in to visit from out of state. Chef John was absolutely amazing very corky and made sure to not only include his personal experiences of the market but very detailed history as well. In addition to how to be "market smart", so after the tour we could experience stuff on our own. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will defiantly be something I recommend to people from out of the state and out of town who do not visit the market often.
Mathieu Goodman
Chef John was great. Knowledgeable and funny, he walked us through a thorough and entertaining tour which had enough food to make us skip lunch. Well, that’s not entirely true: we went back to sample more chowder at the chowder place after the tour was done. Anyways, real happy with the tour and would absolutely recommend chef John.
Mona T
Ohmygoodness, we LOVED this tour!! It was a perfect mix of fun, history, exploring, and a great variety of food sampling. Our favorites, it's hard to choose! The salmon, chowder, crazy good yogurt with marionberry sauce, chocolate . . . there wasn't any sampling we didn't enjoy. I read another review about sample sizes being small; we didn't find that at all. If you're a super big eater and are expecting it to be a meal, maybe. But we were both full and used it as our lunch.
Ok, our chef was a blast! We had Sean, super low key, yet super knowledgeable, and he made it so fun to visit. All the vendors in Pikes know him, which really lends to the mom and pop feel of the market. He had a great sense of humor, and the tour just flew by.
Loved it loved it, well worth the money for us. Going back to the market tomorrow to purchase some of the yums we found today!
Janet Lloyd
Chef Eric gave a great tour with lots of local history. And the food was amazing, Beecher's Cheese Mac and Cheese, Chukar Cherries, the clam chowder, Barbecue, smoked salmon, Uli's sausage, Ellenos Greek yogurt, Honest Biscuits. The icing on the tour was the final stop at Indi Chocolate for the browned butter chocolate chip cookie with cocoa nibs and Maldon sea salt flakes on top. You will not come away hungry. I highly recommend this as a great way to get a 2 hour tasting tour of Pikes Place Market.
Jaclyn Smith
My boyfriend and I are on a trip in Seattle from Texas. We booked a tour with Eat Seattle Tours and had the pleasure of touring the Market with Chef John. He was a great guide! Chef John is super informative, knows all the info you need to know about the Market/surrounding area, and had AMAZING spots lined up for us today! I do wish this tour would have been a little bit longer just because we were all having so much fun! If my boyfriend and I come back to Seattle again, I would love to take another tour with Chef John!
Leigh Coleman
The tour was fabulous and very informative. Sylas was absolutely wonderful!! He was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed all the food and the history of the market and all the food areas. We are glad we chose this tour out of all the options we had.
Luke Barlos

Michael Breslin
This was a wonderful tour, well worth the time! Our tour guide, Carolyn Manning, is a retired chef, and her exceptional knowledge of food and cooking techniques were evident throughout. I absolutely loved all history of the market and the people there, as well as the delicious food samples. After the tour, I retraced our steps to buy goodies to take home. Loved it!
Karishma Burnside
The 2hour Pike Place Market tour was our favorite experience during our nine day visit to Seattle! All the food was delicious and Chef Caroline was amazing - she shared so much information on the history of Seattle, Pike Place Market and food. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves food!
steve
I was really looking forward to Carolyn’s tour and she did not disappoint! Friendly, informative, and overall great time. Was sad when it ended!!
Karen Hewett
I enjoyed the tour until Jack’s barbecue. One very small piece of meat and a very small bite of pie was very disappointing. Every other sample from the different restaurants was very satisfactory. The guide was great.
Maria Wagner-Medina
This was a great food tour, I have done other food tours in other cities. This has to be my favorite one, our guide John was very knowledgeable of the food and the city. The food we tasted was delicious and walked away full. I would highly recommend this food tour.
George Johnson
TEAM ERIC! My wife and I took the tour with Chef Eric in December 2020 and we had the best time. Eric was very personable and engaging. We felt like instant friends. Eric was also incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Seattle and the market. His passion for food was evident and I think he made everything we tried taste better. We felt very satisfied by the selection of vendors and even went back to a few them later in our trip.
Michelle Klawans
We did the South Lake Union Street tour and it was great! Chef Eric was super knowledgeable and had answers to all of our questions. All the food was delicious as well! A great variety of local cuisine!
Maria Rogers
I had a fantastic time on my tour with Chef Sean! It was my first time in Seattle and this was a very fun and delicious way to experience Pike Place for the first time. Highly recommend the experience!
Lexi Stephens
This food tour was so much fun! Sean was an awesome guide not only for the tour, but he also gave us great recommendations for the rest of our time in Seattle. Highly recommend this tour as a way to get to know the market and find all of the hidden gems that you'd otherwise miss!
Megan Zimmerman
Do this. Book it now. Make sure it is in the beginning of your Seattle adventure so you can go back and eat at all the amazing places! Chef John was knowledgeable and fun!
Lisa Brown
Thanks to John, our lively and knowledgeable guide, we had a great time despite the unusually hot day. Our tastings had a lot of variety and the tour was well-paced. I’d recommend it!
Steve Sukonick
Today, my wife and I did the "Street Food Tour of South Lake Union." Our tour guide was Eric, who is also a chef. My wife and I have done many, many food tours in places such as Old Towne Alexandria, VA, Denver, Charleston SC, Nashville, Asheville, NC, our hometown of Richmond, VA, and Pittsburg, PA. None were as good as this. Eric gives the perspective from someone who obviously knows his food. The food was terrific, the variety was very good, and we learned a lot about an area of Seattle we'd never been to before. Eric was outgoing, easy to hear over noisy Seattle traffic, and very safety conscious at all times. I'm REALLY glad we did this food tour today and would not hesitate to HIGHLY recommend Eric!
Rachel Troscinski
I highly recommend Eat Seattle! It was my first time to Seattle and Pike Place Market. The market can feel like a maze if you don’t know where to go. Our guide, Carolyn, was extremely knowledgeable and fun! She knew a lot of the local vendors personally and was able to show us a wide variety of foods to sample, several from hidden gems that I would have never stumbled upon on my own. We had a great time!
blair beavers
Great food tour! Lots of food tasting, no standing in lines. Accomplished 4-6 hrs of eating easily in 2 hrs. So many super long lines we were able to skip. Kids 7 and 8 loved it too.
Lara
Do it! A great way to experience the market. A little history and a lot of food sampling. Our guide was Chef Eric and he definitely kept us entertained. Here’s a list of all the yummy foods we sampled: Bleechers signature cheese + their mac and cheese
Pike Place clam chowder
Elenos Greek yogurt w/marionberries
Pikes Pit pulled pork w/slaw
Uli’s chicken sausage
Blackened salmon
Chukar cherries
Honest cheddar biscuit
Indi chocolate chip cookie
Kelly Hipps
Such a great tour! Chef Sylas was extremely knowledgeable & made this such an enjoyable experience. This was honestly the best part of our trip to Seattle!!
Elizabeth Nixon
We’ve taken several food tours in different cities and this one did not disappoint. Chef Sean did a great job of showing us the unique off the beaten path locations in the market and the food was delish. Strongly recommend taking this tour.
Penny Miller
We had a fantastic tour with a every knowledgeable and friendly Chef. Everything was delicious and this was the best way to see the market since our time was limited. Thank you Executive Chef Sean!! We will be sure to come back!
Lindsay McBride
Chef Eric was knowledgeable and entertaining. He maintained a good pace to where you didn’t feel rushed and it filled the time well. I took the tour on my own and everyone on the tour was incredibly friendly, it was a comfortable tour for a single person.
Robyn Worthington
Chef Sean was energetic, entertaining, and knowledgeable. He gave us a wonderful tour of Pike’s Market with tastings from eight different vendors, every one so delicious.
Andrew Sherman
Chef John was an awesome guide! My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and learned so much about the history of Pike Place and the current businesses that reside there.
Kelly Peller
Best experience. I hope you get the tour with Chef Sean, so many vendors treat him like family and if y’all are ahead of schedule you get extra goodies! He truly knows his stuff this is not a gimmick like other tours!
Rachel Mayfield
Chef Shaun was very knowledgeable and created a very fun and informative tour. We took our 7 and 12 year old and they raved about good everything was! Worth every penny!
Michael Mathieu
This was a fantastic tour. Liz was great in leading and explaining not only the food and shops but also the history of the market. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area.
sydney cerovski
Tour was great besides the guide. Very dry sense of humor. Food was good, seattle is amazing. The guide wasn't bad.. just eh.
Rose Isela M.
Chef Sean was very well informed and answered all questions. Made the tour very enjoyable. Gave great tips and recommendations!
Christine Martin
Chef Sean was amazing! I'm from Seattle and visited Pike Place multiple times but haven't been to a lot of the places he took me on the tour, it was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable and friendly it was a great experience!!
Michelle Lu
We had chef John as our tour guide, and he was great! We learned a lot about the history of Seattle and Pike Place Market. They made the instructions pretty clear as we were to meetup at Simply Seattle on 1st Ave., and from there John took us all around the market. I think they did a good job picking places that are very popular in the market as well as introducing other places that may not be as well known. Would recommend!
Yang Su Chin
John was very knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. He has a deep knowledge of the market and its history. The food was excellent, you save time, and you will see things that most people will miss.
Kris Taylor
Chef Sean gave us the best tour! He really knows the market because he has been a client there for years. He truly has cultivated relationships everywhere we went. The vendors were so generous with us and, even as a local, I found so many new favorite places. I now have so many new favorite spot. Definitely worth the time and money!
Elizabeth Gassner
Visitors and Residents: Wow! Tour guide/Chef Eric was excellent. As you meander through busy Pike Place Market, you learn its history and sample award-winning clam chowder, chocolate, cheese, Greek yogurt, and more. 2-hr walking tour. Highly recommended!
Give yourself extra time to park and get to the starting spot!
Lori Evenhouse
Our family had such a fantastic experience doing the two-hour tour with Chef Carolyn. She shared stories of the history of the market, how she herself uses food and ingredients from the vendors, why places are unique and such valuable info about how the food we sampled was made and crafted. We were so full by the end but wouldn't have changed a thing - the variety of food, sights, vendors and stories was just the right way to see the market.
Mary Sue & Dave Schwarz
Chef Brendan was awesome!! Tried some fantastic places and learned about the Public Market. We would highly recommend doing this tour when in Seattle!!
kari workman
Great tour! Liz was knowledgeable, she shared some chef secrets along with a bit of history. Super fun. The tastings sizes were generous. Great way to see Pike's place. Thank you Eat Seattle.
Shaina East
We did the Pike's market tour. It was a small group (one other couple and Chef John).
The tour was amazing. We were blown away by the different and amazing food. We absolutely loved it and Chef John was super knowledgeable about everything in the market including the history.
I did this tour 2 years ago with my daughter and again today with my husband. Totally worth it. You won't regret it!
Nina Ginocchio
Great tour! Just the right length and the right amount of food. There were 5 couples in our group. It worked out well.
Michael Schnupper
We did the tour with Chef Brendan today, it was exactly what we were looking for. Good history lesson—Chef was knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was excellent.
Jason Cerswell
As a member of Team Eric I can say without question this tour was one of the best choices we made on our whole trip.
I was expecting a market tour with samples and some light history, but it was so much more. We were one of the 4 groups that made up our band of 10 tour goers. We learned quickly that this wasn't some random gaggle of tourists, but people with a passion for food and Chef Eric gave us an experience that took us beyond the basic to the extraordinary.
He talked of the history of the market, sure, but he also educated us on the food, the ingredients, the culinary process these outstanding vendors use.
I have spent over 15 years in food service, both front and back of the house and Eric kept me engaged for a full 2 hours.
It's easy now to see why this tour company has the rating they do.
Sybil Talbert
Best way to experience Pike Market. Chef John gave us an inside view of all the best places to eat at Pike Market.
Scott Cassman
Sylas was fantastic! Learned so much about the Market and loved everything we tried. A perfect tour for a couple hours. My kids were sad when it was done!
Andrew Mason
My wife and I went on this tour about 3 weeks ago. It was a wonderful tour. We got to sample a lot of food from a lot of places. We went around the Public Market and was able to see a lot of important Seattle sites. I loved that we got smaller bites from more places. My wife says she would've preferred larger plates at fewer places. I also loved how the guide, a chef, described how she cooks and makes items. My wife, however, said she would've preferred to learn more about Seattle and the places we visited. My wife's issues are the only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5. Either way, I had a great time!
