Stellar experience on a Mighty 5 trip in Utah starting in Salt Lake City. The guide was very informative and knew which hikes to hit and when to go. Utah is stunning, and this trip allows you to really appreciate all that beauty. Would definitely recommend!

After waiting decades to make the trek to Utah to see all the national parks, I couldn’t be happier to have chosen Southwest Adventure Tours to organize the trip. No worries about where to stay or what to see or how to get there. Having a small group of fellow adventurers kept it friendly and flexible. Captain Adam made it relaxed and fun, with the safety of a knowledgeable (and younger) guide. He had a great playlist that kept us rocking on the drive and knew “secret” restaurants and homemade pie stops. He chose some hikes to suit the capabilities of our group and encouraged us to challenge ourselves on others. I highly recommend SAT and Captain Adam to explore Utah’s Mighty Five!!

Our trip was delayed due to COVID so we were very excited to be able to take the trip this week. We did the Mighty 5 from Salt Lake City. This was one of the best tours we have ever be on. Our tour guide, Adam, was exceptional. He tailored the tour to the groups expectations and gave us unbelievable information about the formations. The group was 11 individuals and we all got along quite wonderfully. The tour exceeded our expectations and every day was better than the previous day.

My husband and I just got back from the Mighty 5 tour in Utah.... what an incredible experience. Our guide, Vicky, was the best!! It was all laid out so well, and the van was comfortable and lodging was great. It's so nice to have everything planned for you, and also some open time to explore. Enjoyed our small group of 10. The locations we ate were fantastic. October is the perfect time of year for exploring the parks as far as weather. We can't wait to take another trip.

We did a 7 day self drive Yellowstone/Grand Teton tour with our 8 and 11 year old granddaughters. Jason and Southwest Adventure Tours planned a fantastic trip for us. This is the second time we have used this organization, and I honestly think we save money by paying them to plan our trip! We love the self-drive option. It includes rental car, hotel reservations, and an app that plans out each day with an array of suggested sites to see, trails to hike, restaurant options, maps, etc. When we tried to plan our trips ourselves, we found it difficult to book rooms, cars, etc. in the national park areas. We think the travel agencies have better connections, and it makes trip planning easy! Southwest Adventure Tours is so accommodating to your personal needs. Jason knew we had our 2 granddaughters with us and highly recommended we add on the Bar T 5 Covered Wagon trail ride and cookout (with family friendly entertainment). So glad we did! We highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours!

Awesome trip to see Utah’s Mighty 5 with SWAT from SLC! Our guides Adam and Ja were both friendly, engaging and excellent guides. They were accommodating to everyone in our group to make sure they had a memorable trip and were able to see and do what they wanted. It was easy to reserve the Mighty 5 National Parks tour over the phone. The employees that I spoke to were clear and answered all of my questions without rushing through it. Our tour guide, Chris, was exceptional. He was fun, professional, knowledgeable and knew where to take the group based on activity level. He also captured the best photos that he shared daily with our 12 person group. Visiting the National Parks on this small group tour is the way to go. I recommend Southwest Tours and I look forward to using them again.

My husband and I used Southwest Adventure Tours (through an independent travel agent) for our trip out West to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks. I would highly recommend!! They helped us book awesome activities, including fly fishing and whitewater rafting, as well as unique places to stay. We had no problems with any of the reservations and our trip was smooth sailing. They also provided the Vamoos app, which was a huge help and kept things super organized. Each day was mapped out with an itinerary, important documents, links to maps, and other suggestions. It was really helpful to have everything in one easy spot.

My wife & I travelled with Southwest Adventure Tours from August 14-21, 2022. Although the sights were incredible, amazing & beautiful, I feel the need to express our gratitude to our incredible Guide; Christopher Vander Wilt. His enthusiasm, kindness, knowledge & love of his job are unmatchable. He spent each day trying to make sure we had every opportunity to see EVERYTHING! From early morning sunsets, scoping out wildlife, and making certain we saw all of the breathtaking sights. He went above & beyond on many occasions to make this a memorable trip for us all. We did the Arizona with SWAT during the holidays and it was AMAZING!! Our guide Hadyee was FANTASTIC ! It was like traveling with a passionate history professor. We toured with Mike Knarzer on the "Mighty Five" Las Vegas to Moab. It was the most amazing tour. He is an outstanding tour guide. We loved how he took our needs and abilities into consideration. Mike was able to adjust our planned tour so that even limited walking ability had a trail they could manage. I will highly recommend this tour to all.

October 5, 2021. My sister and I had a wonderful experience in Moab, thanks to our guide, Joe. He went above and beyond to create a memorable day for us. Since he grew up in the area, he had lots of anecdotes to share and his love of Moab is apparent. Our tour included Arches (where we saw the sunrise), Dead Horse and the night cruise on the Colorado River with light and sound which, even in the rain, was amazing. He also drove us along the Colorado River (Hwy 128) to the Red Cliffs Lodge where a little gem called the Moab Museum of Film and Western Heritage is located. We also saw petroglyphs and rocks where Joe and his friends climbed as boys. Thanks to Joe for an exceptional day.

We took the mighty 5 from Las Vegas (Apr 5 to Apr 9, 2021). It was just fantastic, and way better than expected. Our tour director - Ean Dunder - was not only knowledgeable but also a lot of fun. He took is to places we would have never imagined if we had done this on our own. He also is a great judge of ability - so in our group many a time he split us up and let us go for hikes while others were taken to other spots for sightseeing. The hotels were nice and clean - the restaurant recommendations were on the spot - Each day topped the next. We couldn't have asked for more - but we did get more - On this trip Ean was accompanied by a future guide, a gentleman by the name of Dan Barton, who was also from the area and also very knowledgeable. We had some great hikes and conversations together. I would definitely tour with this company and these gentlemen again. Very highly recommended. Thank you guys.

Southwest adventure tours with geologist and tour guide, Simone, are the greatest. I had a fantastic trip visiting 5 Utah national parks. We averaged about three 45-minute hikes each day. The scenery was magnificent. Simone's geological knowledge made the trip a true educational experience.

I reached out to Southwest to put together an 8 day self drive tour of the Utah national parks and the Grand Canyon. They put together one of the most memorable trips of my life for me and my boys. They booked every hotel and tour and provided us with many ideas for each site we visited. It took away all the stress of planning the trip and allowed us to just enjoy ourselves maximally. I know Southwest has great guided tours, but this alternative is incredible for those who like a bit more independence. I cannot recommend Southwest Adventure Tours Enough!

What a trip we had! I cant tell you the number of people who've asked for our itinerary. And the best part of all? I didnt have to lift a finger. One minor snag along the way and it was handled immediately and without hesitation. Cant say enough good things about this company. Did i mention they provide an app that not only provides you with driving directions but also directs you on the best spots to visit between destinations? Fabulous. Horsehead Bend was one of those spots and it turned out to be my favorite. Thank you so much for memories of a lifetime.

This was by far the best planned trip to really explore and enjoy Utah! We did the Mighty 5 and I had a blast each and every day and got my hiking “fix” in for sure, not only was Shybree (our tour guide) very knowledgeable and fun in her presentation and introduction to Utah to our group as new visitors to Utah, but really got to know her group and offered additional points of interest during our stay. Taking a solo trip this time around, I can honestly say that I felt 100% safe and well-taken care of during the entire trip! I can’t say enough about the attention to careful planning that was done to make sure that our trip was phenomenal! Thank you for a lifetime of memories! Loved everything about the trip!

I had been to a few of the parks before but i learned and experienced new adventures. I was a solo traveler and felt comfortable with the other hikers. Will do more trips with Southwest Adventure.

We took the Mighty 5 tour out of SLC with Southwest Adventure Tours in Oct 2021. There were 8 of us in the group and 3 additional travelers. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel, I could tell we were in good hands. Our tour guide Ean was professional throughout and went out of his way to make sure our requests were meet. Ean has been to the parks many times, but he reacted to them as if he was seeing them through our eyes. Not worrying about the driving, hotel accommodations, food arrangements, and park scheduling was a huge plus in using Southwest. The guides are knowledgeable about when to enter the parks (which included many sunrise hikes), top places to go in the park, delicious pies in Capital Reef, and a great coffee shop on the way to Bryce Canyon. Ean kept us moving to maximize our time in the parks often picking up sandwiches enroute and eating at a scenic view inside the park. I would highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours and Ean was an excellent guide.

We rented boots and walking sticks for only $25. We were blown away by the quality of the products that they offered. The water boots and walking sticks were high quality and worth every penny. We highly recommend them.

We just finished an amazing tour of Mighty 5 From Salt Lake City through Southwest Adventure Tours. Ann Evans was our guide through the week and did an outstanding job. We had a perfect size group of 9, plus Ann. The group was very diverse in age and hiking abilities. Ann provided many options, allowing each of our group to have a wonderful time. The only issue we had was the heat. I would never pick August as a time to do this tour, but that was our fault. August is just hot! Ann was beyond careful that no one became dehydrated or had physical issues from the heat, or anything else for that matter. The tour was exactly as stated, we received an overview of the 5 main parks (never ending incredible scenery), plus Ann elected to show us a few extras, which was GREAT. The accommodations and food provided were all very good. Ann is very knowledgeable of the area, with lots of extra stories to throw in. Her flexibility, patience, easy-going fun nature never ended.

I did the Grand Circle Experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though I am not AT ALL a serious hiker, the hikes were well worth the amazing scenery. Our guide seemed to know every mile of road like the back of his hand, and he went out of his way to find better alternatives when some of our destinations were closed due to COVID. If you are planning to visit the national parks of the southwest, I highly recommend this tour.

Southwest Adventure Tours provided my wife and me and tremendous vacation experience. My wife and I had always wanted to take a tour of the National Parks located in the Southwest. The year of Covid-19 seemed like a good opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. Our local travel agent wasn’t very familiar with the Southwest region. I googled tours of the southwest and found Southwest Adventure Tours (SAT) and started corresponding with them. I gave them some basic information of what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and how many days we wanted to spend on the road (in our case 12 days). SAT developed a tour of the southwest that was customized for us. They were friendly, informative, and very responsive to our questions. Because SAT is familiar with the region, they not only provided us with an itinerary for the national parks but made additional helpful suggestions for additional places to go and see; national monuments, state parks, museums, scenic drives, etc. They provided a detailed itinerary which included our airline flights, a rental car, hotels, driving directions, park information, etc. All this information was contained on an App that we could download to our phones. Therefore, we always had all the information with us in a convenient place and format. We spent twelve days exploring the beautiful southwest doing it “our” way. Many thanks to the Southwest Adventure Tours team for a truly “once in a lifetime” experience.

I went on the Mighty 5 tour 9/19/21-9/26/21 with tour guides Adam and Ja. They were excellent guides and worked hard throughout the trip. The hotels and restaurants were top notch. I recommend this trip if you want to see a lot of parks in a short time.

Southwest Adventure Tours is the best way to see Arizona and the Great Southwest! I've been on two trips with them! My 1st one was to see the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah and my most recent one was a custom tour around Arizona to see Petrified Forrest, Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon. My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the Mighty 5 National Parks of Utah! The itinerary from Las Vegas was very thoughtful, not only did we love the national parks we very much enjoyed the interesting sights and commentary along the route. Can't say enough about Shybree, our tour guide. Shybree was so kind, flexible and knowledgable. She was attentive to everyone's particular skills and preferences. She is s special person! The Mercedes tour van was very, very comfortable, and with the custom captains chairs, our ride was even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours, and will definitely tour with them again.

I did the Mighty 5 in Utah, I couldn't fault the tour at all, great guide, great transport and great food. We had snow and shut roads, but our guide worked overnight to ensure we still had a great experience and saw everything possible. I highly recommend this company.

I was so glad to hear about this service. The shuttle through recreation.gov was sold out so we thought we'd have to walk. I loved that it was a smaller shuttle with AC, as it was a little warm when we went. The drivers were all nice and very informative.

I hired SAT for my trip to Zion and Bryce Canyons. We had a great tour. The driver picked us up on time at 7am and dropped us off at 7pm. The tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. We went places we may not have gone to without the guide so I felt like we got our money worth! IT also included a nice lunch a a decent restaurant! The vehicle we traveled in was roomy and very comfortable. We were able to charge cell phones in the van with many plugs. This was important bc we were in the vehicle for a few hours. Thanks for accommodating us ! I would use again!
