Our tour guide was incredible! I found the number of details that he had stored in his brain amazing along with his sense of humor. I said to my husband on the way to the tour,that the only thing I knew about Rhode Island was that it is the smallest state in the country,and one of the original thirteen colonies. Well our guide Phil expanded on my inadequate knowledge from elementary school. He covered all the bases the historical,academic,cultural,and famous celebrities. It was the best 75 dollars I spent in a long time! I would highly recommend it to anyone as a starter experience about Rhode Island as a state and Province as a city,so they can return to experience all that it has to offer in depth. Thank you for such a pleasant,informative,and well coordinated tour.

What a great way to see so much of the state in a a single day! Our tour guide, Ted, was super knowledgeable about local history, as well as places to see, shop, eat, and stay; and he made the whole trip fun and engaging. He pointed out a good variety of points of interest, from natural beauty to historical significance. My husband and I loved that this tour gave us a quick overview of a lot of the great things to see outside of Providence, and it helped us plan the rest of our trip by providing a good first look at the state. I liked that we got a bit of time to explore something on our own in Newport, and that we had ample opportunities to get out for a minute or two to stretch, take a bathroom break, or shoot some pictures of a particular location. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a jumpstart to their time in Rhode Island!

Our guide,Ted, was very knowledgeable with trivia and facts about Rhode Island. He entertained us with life experience anecdotes which made the trip interesting and time fly fast. The trip was fun. We went to the southern part of the state along the coastline, seeing the different beaches, lighthouses and grand houses. We got to taste doughboy and home made ice cream as well as gave lunch in a cozy restaurant. Who would have thought that llamas, peahen, camel and alpaca can be found in a lavender farm that is not a zoo. Scenic Rhode Island tour was worth the time. I do not think we would have found some of the places we visited on our own

This tour was organised by the graduate council at Brown and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide has lived in RI for the majority of his life and thus had some insight into all the great restaurants, events, and even the history/drama with parts of Providence. The tour lasted about 1.5 hours and covered the majority if not all of Providence. There were multiple stopping points to get out and take photos or stretch your legs. For anyone visiting RI, I strongly recommend taking a tour with this company!

This was a fantastic tour of Rhode Island! Our tour guide, Ted was extremely knowledgeable on facts and history. He was outstanding and made the all day tour fly by with lots of entertainment. We learned so much about this beautiful state and saw many wonderful places. The beaches to the rocky cliffs to the mansions and ‘summer homes’ on Ocean Drive to the church where Jackie and JFK married to the Colonial area and so much more! This is a must do tour!!

Nice overview of the city’s history and sights. Loved that we were able to get out 3 times. Was able to buy 3 of the “only in Rhode Island” items on my list - pepper biscuits, red wine biscuits, and Del’s frozen lemonade. All quite delicious! Would highly recommend for those with little time to explore on their own, or those who are uncomfortable driving in an unfamiliar city.

What a wonderful tour. We spent 2 days Rhode Island tour and the Autumn tour. Both days exceptional. Ted gave the history of RI, and other Bits of information. The history on Roger Williams woven with the gospel message was superb! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing tour provided by Ted on this 2 hour bus experience He not only remembered the home bases of all 25 people on the tour, but gave an entertaining, well organized and inclusive presentation of Providence (and Rhode Island) history including founders, historic buildings, regions, restaurants, and events. My wife and I do many tours and he certainly gave one of the BEST we have ever been on.

Block Island is beautiful and going with Ted made it so enjoyable. He took us all around the island so we got to see so much more than we ever would have by ourselves. He then drove us where we wanted to go and picked us up later. Didn't have to worry about renting bikes or taxi or anything else! We were able to do what a wanted. A perfect personal touch!

My husband and I wound up directionally challenged and walked two blocks in a soaking downpour in the opposite direction of the pickup point. We were struggling to get back to our car, giving up on the tour location, when the owner providentially pulled up beside us at a traffic light! He warmly welcomed us aboard, even though we were dripping wet, and led us on a wonderful tour of his beloved city. We had several interesting stops that clearly would've enticed anyone searching for a new place to live to choose Providence! My only suggestion: it would be so much more helpful to include in your directions that your pickup point is directly across the street from the Omni Hotel since that's where we started our walk in the opposite direction!

Great way to get an overview of Providence. Our driver/guide Ted was personable and knowledgeable. The 90-minute tour included opportunities to exit the comfortable bus for photos and see some of the small parks and waterfront features up close.

Educational tour that touched on many pieces of Providence history. Our tour guide was great and enjoyable to listen to. It was nearly 100 degrees today and although the bus had air conditioning, we couldn’t feel it in the back of the bus. We were hot. It was the only drawback to this tour.

This tour was better than expected! We were only in Providence for a day and this tour really helped us soak it all in. It even included a couple of stops that i wasn't expecting. I think one of the stops could be swapped for a more exciting stop, but overall this was a great tour that worked perfectly for our time.

The entire tour allowed me to have a better appreciation of the capital of the smallest state in the U.S. My husband and I took this tour because we had only one day in Providence and wanted to get a taste of the city on our first visit. Our tour guide's love for his hometown was gleaned through the colorful but fact-filled stories about Roger Williams, Buddy Cianci and others. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he managed to keep us engaged as he interacted with the group throughout the tour. I however believe that the tour could be extended by at least a half hour to enable participants to consume the mountain of information presented with at least 5 minutes added to each stop.

It was great! We had limited amount of time to visit, the 3hr tour allowed us to learn about and see so much of the city. The guide was very knowledgeable with a great since of humor. The van was roomy and comfortable. The stops were timed well and at a variety of locations that let you sample the city. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful day for a fun and informative tour. The only thing I would change was the address info. Putting the street name and number is fine, but it would have been helpful to note the meeting place was in or in front of the convention center. Street signs and address numbers are not helpful in Providence.

Great experience with our driver buddy who took us from our wedding venue to the location for our photo shoot. He kept us updated on the traffic due to Waterford but made sure we knew he would make the time up for us. I would highly recommend this service

They were great to work with when booking, answered all my questions when planning out the times, and provided prompt confirmations. The pricing was great and beat other options we looked at. The drivers were courteous, the shuttles were impeccably clean, and our guests had a great experience. We even received a voicemail from Rebecca when they thought one shuttle might be a minute or two behind schedule due to extra heavy highway traffic - that's how attentive they are to customer service! The tour was nice and the guide was knowledgeable. I am removing 1 star because the microphone gave out in the beginning of the tour so those of us on the back of the bus had trouble hearing. Additionally, the bus could use some work, especially the shocks in the back.

Great tour—-one suggestion would be to limit the very short stops. Perhaps two longer stops would be better? Seemed like 15 minutes wasn’t long enough at Federal Hill because we were waiting for people to pay for their cannoli, etc. Eliminating the shorter stops would allow more time at Brown and Federal Hill.

We experienced Taste of Rhode Island today & OMG was it fabulous!! Ted was our tour guide & while he treated us to a Dels lemonade we drove to get the best clam chowder in the State! He explained the history & story bout the Providence River, walked across the bridge. Ate calamari up on a rooftop in the city of Providence. Surprised us with more treats up on Federal Hill then topped it with special dessert from the best Pastiche Bakery! OMG again! Sent us home with a favorite New England beverage. This tour is awesome. Ted was so knowledgeable about the city & the history, made it fun & interesting & delicious. Everything was timed perfectly & you really get more than your bang for the buck in food tasting! I would recommend this tour for all, visitors and natives alike. It’s fun & interesting & I would definitely go again.

Ted was fantastic!!! Brought a family including myself, my aunt/uncle (60's) and two kids (pre-teens). All of us were entertained. He engaged each one of us with every ounce of genuine one could offer. Didn't think we could spend 7 plus hours in a van and not be bored, but we did! Hi stories and historical facts filled in the time between travels. There were just enough stops that allowed for bathroom breaks and photo ops. So much history packed in one day! Would truly suggest this trip to all. Ted has made me want to retire in Rhode Island ( 30 more years!). There are so many other shorter tours available if all day is not a possibility for you, but if you do have a free day, buy a ticket. Parking was right next door in the parking garage as well. Only 15 for the whole day. Can't beat it!

We enjoyed our 90 minute tour of Providence, RI. The bus was on time and the driver was a safe driver. He was also the narrator. He was informative and entertaining. He happily answered questions. We also had the chance to get off the bus and take pictures in some picturesque spots. We had a limited time to visit, so this made the most of our time.

It was a tasting tour in Providence and Ted is such a wonderful tour leader who knows RI and does not just present a "canned" tour. He can answer questions beyond the scope of his presentation. He engages his clients and takes a personal interest in them, where they are from and what they do. The sampling of foods was excellent giving a cross section of the city's favorite foods which were all excellent and I know that it was a struggle to manage the cabinet and the hot dog came home with me. "The tour is a bargain! This is my second one with Ted and I know there will be more.

We did two tours with Experience RI during our recent stay. Our first tour was the Providence city tour, which was a wonderful way to see the city and highlights. We were able to decide where we needed to spend more time and explore. We also did the Newport day tour and loved it! We drove through some adorable towns and Newport with history and facts being given to us throughout the drive. We really enjoyed the Newport tour due to the fact that we had about 3 hours to do whatever we wished in the city. The guides were awesome and accommodating! The small buses were clean and comfortable. The company also gave us information on the ferry to visit Newport again and several excellent restaurant recommendations. I definitely recommend taking at least 1 tour with this company during your stay in RI! We cannot wait to return to RI!!

The bus was clean and fit our wedding party and guests with no issues! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for shuttle service in the area!

Experience RI did an amazing job as transportation for our recent wedding; you’re crazy if you don’t use them! Their price point was fantastic, the entire staff is responsive, eager to help navigate logistics, flexible, and easy going. They got all of us to ceremony, then photo location (which was determined THE DAY OF the wedding due to covid), then to reception and back to our hotel on time and without a hitch. The coach looked brand new. It was super clean and the seats were very comfortable. Hiring them was the best decision we made (besides getting married), and we can’t wait to book a private tour with them next summer!

We used Experience RI to provide shuttles to our wedding in Providence. They did an amazing job! The planning process was super easy. They were always very responsive and patient when I had questions. On the day of, everything ran smoothly and all our guests made it to and from the venue safely. Our guests said the shuttles were very clean and presentable. It was such a relief to know our guests were being taken care of and no one would have to drink and drive. This was a MUST for our wedding. We would definitely use them again!

Excellent tour of Providence RI. We do city tours nearly everywhere we go - this was one of the best. John was very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. We went on Oct 04, 2018 which is getting into the off season, and the original day and time scheduled had to be cancelled. However the company did a great job of contacting us and giving us a time the next day which worked. There was plenty of parking at the convention center - only $15 for the whole day.

Best tour company I have ever experienced! The two owners Jon & Ted are extremely knowledgeable, genuine, and fun!! The Providence tour with Jon is packed with history and wonderful stops along the way. A great comprehensive view of the city and great orientation to get around with awesome reccomondations for breakfast lunch and dinner! I also took the fabulous day trip with Ted to Newport. I lwas amazed to learn so much about the state of Rhode Island and its historic part in the founding of our country! The scenery on this trip was unbelievable and we had an hour and a half of free time with the options of a harbor cruise, tour a mansion, shop, dine, do the cliff walk or go to the beach! I was floored to be offered free time like this! Everyone got to do their own thing and get picked back up! IT WAS AN AMAZING TOUR! Thank you ever so much! This is not you average tour company these guys care! The guy at the ticket booth helped us with things to do locally, free appetizer cards, and a map to get around! What a great team! Thank you for the education and making our stay most memorable!

Hired for our wedding as shuttles, they were on time and with the exception of one driver who called the groom day of confused of what to do which added a little stress to the day, everything worked out perfectly. When hiring them we did change plans a few times as we knew how many guests we had at each hotel and they were very amenable to change. We had one shuttle for the wedding party and he was fantastic as well taking us around for pictures. Would definitely recommend.
