Andy was great! Knowledgeable about the area as well as flora and fauna. Had a beautiful day and fantastic views. 4 hours barely enough time to take every picture you might want to take. Someone who is interested in strenuous or serious hiking should consider a different your, for my group this was great! Bottles of water offered with every stop. If you need snacks bring your own.

We were able to see a sampling of each location. The level of difficulty is low. You will need to climb stairs to get to the best viewing locations. Minimal walking. Gorgeous views the entire time you are outside the City. The tour is 4 hours and the company makes sure you get your full 4 houra by picking you up a half hour early and dropping you off a little after your 4 hours. (Tour 2-6pm. Pickup 1:30, drop off 6:30pm.) The tour guide, David, was knowledgeable and helped make the trip an enjoyable event!

Sampled the outstanding Oregon Coast tour yesterday with our excellent guide Bryn. Got to take in all the scenery on the way out there whilst learning some interesting tales about Oregon in general. All the stops were equally stunning and well chosen to show off the location. Canon Beach was a great spot for lunch, you can't really go wrong there. Thoroughly enjoyable day, spotlessly clean and reliable transport, beverages and snacks provided, vehicle smoothly and safely driven. A* recommend. EDIT: Also went on the half day waterfalls and gorges tour with Deana. I can only reiterate what I said earlier, the scenery is stunning and undertaking both tours gives you a truer picture of the Oregon countryside and coastline. Both well worth the time and money.

Our experience with Wildwood Adventures (full day Gorge and Mt. Hood) was phenomenal - from the moment we booked over the phone with questions, to the end of our full day tour with recommendations for more things to do and see in Portland. Our tour guide was Brian - he was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and was a very safe driver. Elliot was our other tour guide and he was wonderful co-pilot. Our first full day tour of an area was stress-free with signing up with Wildwood Adventures. They do it all. It was spectacular.

I recently went on the 4 hour Columbia River Gorge Tour. What a fabulous experience from the moment I sat down in the air conditioned van. Our tour guide Dominique was literally a living encyclopedia of knowledge of not only the Gorge area but also of Portland, inuding restaurants and more. At each stop and along the drive her narrative provided fascinating information including the story of an attempted kidnapping of a 24ft Sturgeon that is now at the fish hatchery we visited. I highly recommend this tour as one not to miss. This was the highlight of my visit to Portland!

We had lots of fun. The tour guide, Brian, picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off as well. He took us to 5 sites, including 3 amazing waterfalls. We went on the 8 am tour, which was great because the attractions were not as busy as other times. Overall, the tour was amazing. Brian was very knowledgeable about all the places we went to and places we passed by. Overall a great experience.

Went on the coastal tour because we wanted to see the coast. The tour was composed of 11 people and the driver/guide, Natham, who was very informed on local laws as well as lore. He made the hour drive down to the coast very enjoyable and he engaged with the passengers by asking questions as well as answering them. Given that the tour was composed of a small number of people whom all returned to the van at the time requested our guide was able to add an additional stop. The van was comfortable and water, apples and locally grown hazelnut were provided for snacks. We were also given plenty of time for lunch and shopping.

Our first time with Wildwood and we have no regrets. 5 stars to Aaron. We traveled to the Oregon Coast and loved our time with him. He’s very personable and down to earth, knowledgeable and informative, all while being very accommodating. Thank you for making the Coast such an awesome experience for us.

I had a fantastic afternoon tour led by our tour guide Deana. She is a knowledgeable energetic fun lady. We spent 4+ hours toured Vista House At Crown Point Latourell Falls Multnomah Falls Horsetail Falls and Bonneville Fish Hatchery. Along the way, Deana shared with us the history of the highway, the region, and each sightseeing point. She also introduced us local gourmet restaurants and other local attractions for the days we stay in Portland, such as political protest event, concert event, and naked bike ride event for the weekend we stayed in Portland. A tour group is always not more than 12 persons for Wildwood Adventures. This made the grouping easy and fast during the tour. At the end, our small group of tourists became friend to each other.

We booked a private Columbia River Gorge Waterfall tour for our wedding guests (25 people) this past weekend. Since our group was larger, we booked 2 vans with Wildwood Adventures. Andy and Sam were our guides and went above and beyond for our group. They had umbrellas and ponchos if we needed, water they passed out at each stop, they managed to wrangle our entire group for multiple group photos for us and even snuck in a bonus waterfall. We had sent them some information about our relationship (we met in the Columbia River Gorge) and both guides did a great job personalizing the tour by adding our relationship tidbits to the history and facts they shared about the Gorge. Andy and Sam made sure to stay with any of our guests that needed a little extra walking time - even when it started to downpour. They were both personable and a lot of fun and fit in really well with our group. Leading up to the tour, Taylor and Kaylee were super responsive to all of my questions and e-mails. They helped me customize the tour and recommended some alternative stops that fit what I was envisioning. If I could rate the entire experience a 10/5 I would. All our guests commented on what a great addition to the weekend it was.

We did the Choose your own Tour. It was great! We started with a city center tour of Portland. Then we went out to see numerous waterfalls. They had suggested the route. It was really perfect- just long enough in downtown and then out to the waterfalls. They even checked the weather report in choosing the route. Skylar was great! Very knowledgeable about the area. He was friendly and had a good sense of humor. (but wasn't overly chatty!) The car was beautiful and they had snacks of us. I highly recommend this tour! Louise Cummings

My wife and I took the Columbia River Gorge and Waterfall tour this past weekend. It was exactly what we were looking for. Brian, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He was very personable and had a vast knowledge of Portland and it's sights. He picked us up at the promised time, and even offered to drop us off at any location we wanted after the tour was done. The van was very comfortable and came loaded with snacks and drinks for us to enjoy throughout the morning. I highly recommend both Brian and Wildwood Adventures!

We did the Columbia River Gorge/fish hatchery/waterfall tour. Our guide was SO hospitable and took great care of us. He allowed us plenty of time at each waterfall and location, shared Portland knowledge through the whole trip, and knew where all the best photo opportunities were. He took our pictures and gave us close up sightings of all the places we went. Strongly recommend for intimate waterfall experiences and Portland info and history along historic route 30.

We had a fantastic tour today of some of the beautiful falls of Oregon, and our tour guide really helped make the trip great. Her personality and her knowledge helped fill the gap in between each stop along the way! Our tour guide (Will) was superb. Unfortunately, traffic throughout the city that day, SAT/July 13th @ 1:00 pm was horrible, but Will entertained us well with all kinds of historical information during the entire tour and kept apologizing for the unexpected traffic gridlock. He was so friendly and made us all feel like VIPs. I would definitely recommend this or any other tour Wildwood Adventures offers. I plan on taking another tour in the near future. I will definitely use this tour company again when having visitors. Our guide, TJ, was enthusiastic and his knowledge of the geology and history of the area exceeded our expectations! I tried to book a tour of the Columbia River Gorge & Mt. Hood with two other companies. Neither company could tell me which tours they were going to offer on the days I had available and I was left not knowing if I would get a tour at all. I was relieved when I discovered Wildwood Adventures last weekend because they had a schedule on their website the clearly stated which tours were offered on what days and the number of tickets still available for purchase. My tour guide for the Columbia River/Mt. Hood trip was Parker. I’ve spent my career working in the field of museums/archives and have been around more tour guides and docents than I can count. I’m not easily impressed, but Parker is among the best tour guides I’ve ever encountered. His knowledge of Oregon, Portland, the local ecosystems, wildflowers and Oregon history is extensive, and he answered all manner of questions with ease. He was full of energy, easy to converse with, eager to talk to everyone, and made countless recommendations of attractions and restaurants. His pride in and his enthusiasm for his city and state was palpable. But above all that, Parker genuinely seemed to care that the group enjoyed not only the tour but also our time in Portland. The day was well thought out and Parker kept everything running smoothly. I will definitely use Wildwood Adventures again if I am ever fortunate enough to find myself back in Portland.

Went on the Willamette valley Wine tour with my wife and it was amazing! We are from the Portland area but had never been out to Oregon wine country and it was well worth the trip! Andy was our tour guide and he did an amazing job of providing great info on the area and industry that was interesting and engaging even to Portland natives. He was great about keeping us on time to all the different wineries and engaging in great conversation. We will definitely be booking more tours with Wildwood and likely requesting tours that have Andy as the tour guide!

We booked a waterfall tour, and lucked out with Jessie as our tour guide. She was spectacular! She was incredibly knowledgeable about Portland and the surrounding areas. She shared her vast knowledge with humor, and was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with. The van was clean, spacious, and there were plenty of snacks, water, and hot tea to keep us satisfied. Jessie often checked in with us to make sure the tour was tailored to our needs and wants. I HIGHLY recommend Wildwood Adventures, and we will definitely be booking another tour on our next visit to Portland!

The Gorge & Waterfall tour was fabulous. The driver/guide was friendly, funny, and extremely well-informed! The bus was small but comfortable and the offering of refreshments was a nice added bonus. Highly recommend this company. The bus was clean, new, and very nice. We took the Gorge and Waterfall tour. The sights were incredible. I think our tour guides name was CJ or TJ. I feel bad for not remembering because he did an excellent job. He gave a long and engaging history lesson about Portland, some interesting characters in the history of the area, and a fascinating (to me) discourse on the geologic history of the gorge. All from the comfort of a nice cozy bus with some friends where I did not have to drive and could actually pay attention to the scenery. Highly, highly recommend.

The Columbia River Gorge, Falls, and Mt. Hood tour was the best tour we've even been on. We sat back and enjoyed beautiful and majestic sights while Wildwood Tours provided the transportation. For folks going it alone, well they'll probably still waiting for a parking space. As for a favorite part, guess it would be the Columbia River Gorge. Spectacular! I think what made the tour extra special was our driver, Mischa. This young man was very knowledgeable, gave interesting history and background about the area, was very articulate with a wonderful voice. And he provided extra accommodations for us. Mischa, you're the best!

Tour guide/company co-owner, Skyler, was very knowledgable and passionate about the Portland area. Healthy snacks and hot tea or cold drinks a nice touch. I took the Oregon Coast tour today and it was fantastic! Misha was an outstanding, informative and sincerely funny native Portlander. He answered all of our questions, brought a lot of insight into current relevant happenings in Portland and Oregon as a whole, and acted as a photographer at all of our scenic spots. The small group was a great part of this, but really the Oregon Coast was the star of the show! The van was nice and comfortable as well. This is a small local outfit that was a great fit for my needs. Also, Misha handed me a personalized birthday card when he picked me up at the hotel, not cheesy at all. Thanks!!!

Our tour guide was engaging, knowledgeable, and all around excellent. The tour far exceeded my expectations. We saw far more in one day than driving by ourselves, and Ross added all kinds of interesting facts. We did the full day tour for the Falls and Mt. Hood. There were even bonus stops along the way (Hood River for lunch which has excellent restaurants and breweries and a stop at a hard cider orchard). This is an excellent way to see many sites in a short amount of time. This tour company is professional and cares.

Really enjoyable tour of various locations on or near the west coast of Oregon with our tour guide, Chuck. We were driven from downtown Portland, Oregon to the coast, which included visting Oswald West State Park, Cannon Beach (think of the movie location for 'Point Break' and 'The Goonies') and Ecola State Park (where the famous/infamous lighthouse 'Terribly Tilly' is located). Lunch is held at a local town (at your expense), which was tasty and inexpensive. Chuck, our tour guide, was excellent. He is an ex-science teacher and lecturer, and his experiences shone through in a knowledgeable and fun way when providing the small group (seven plus guide) with information about the locations. Totally recommend this tour to any tourist to Portland, or even residents that fancy a bit more information about their surroundings. Well done Chuck! You were very enthusiastic and kept the day (about eight hours) very interesting and fun. Keep up the good work!

I travelled with Andy over the course of two days to cover the Oregon Coast and waterfall tour. Christina was always readily available to answer my calls and fit me in last minute for the tour locations I was looking for. That's where my first impression of great client experience was formed. It was a great way to meet new people from all over the world and share the experience of all the stunning locations. Andy was always energetic, happy and informative. Every stop was breathtaking and it kept on building up the suspense to the final and last stop where we were just speechless (e.g Mount Hood). Thank you for helping me reach my bucket list goals for this trip!

My wife and I visited Portland for the first time in June and on a whim decided to take a tour with Wildwood Adventures which turned out to be the best decision of our trip. We signed up for the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls tour which is a half day excursion that takes you by the infamous Multnomah Falls and through an amazing area of lush forest and greenery that is something you have to experience for yourself. The owners/operators Maria and Skyler were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and provided an excellent experience for the price. This was by far the highlight of our trip. If you are in the area, I would consider this a MUST DO during your stay. Enjoy!

Brin was our guide this afternoon for the waterfall and gorge tour. He was FANTASTIC! The dude is like a waterfall of Portland fun facts and he has SO much info to share. The trip was lovely, Brin took great pics of my hubby and i and he also was a very safe driver (which i appreciate, as I am a horrible passenger) The tour bus was a clean mercedes van and had snacks and drinks. Id go again with this guy in his van anywhere he would take me! :)

My girlfriend and I took a tour with Wildwood Adventures early this Fall. Can't recommend them enough! We had a great time and were able to see and learn much more about the area than we ever could have on our own. We met the owners and learned how passionate they were about their business. I had four friends visiting me, so I booked the City Tour with Parker. Such a great experience! Perfect opportunity to get a good overall sense of the city and area - and I learned a lot as well. Parker was our guide, and I must say he really went out of his way to make sure we all had a wonderful time. He knows a ton about the area and I've made notes on some of his recommendations for my own investigation with local family. It was perfect - highly recommend :-)

What a great day! The tour guides were not only very knowledgeable but had a great sense of humor. We are in town picking up my daughter’s ADA Service dog and we are here for a week of training. Great day trip to the coast. Fun and informational. Didn't spend the whole day on the beach, but was still able to go out and enjoy it. It rained a little, it wasn't bad at all, actually refreshing. Cooler on the coast than inland (FYI). Super glad I went on this tour from Portland! I otherwise would have always wondered what the coast was like. It is AMAZING!

I just moved to Portland from Salt Lake City and wanted to familiarize myself with outdoor recreation opportunities surrounding Portland on the Gorge/Mnt. Hood tour. Wildwood adventures begins by providing a biography of Portland, followed by environmental facts of each of the diverse landmarks (e.g., waterfalls, river viewing outlooks, volcanoes) you visit along the way, which all on the tour loved so we can now act like we know what we are talking about when we have visitors :). In addition to being able to sample outdoor destinations to later explore in more depth on a full weekend adventure (e.g., Mount Hood), you get exposure to local culinary destinations, such as the Full Sail brewery in Hood River, or the restaurant/bar at the Timberline lodge on Mount Hood. However, great snacks and refreshments were available all day on the tour, which we all took advantage of. A highly recommended tour if you only have a brief stay in Portland and want exposure to lots of the local destinations, or in my case, a fun and highly informative reconnaissance mission!

Great tour to the coast, Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. Not that many people on the tour. Lunch Stop is around the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce, so you can plan around that location. I really miss the weather.

Well guided by an individual who knew what they were doing. Thanks Zeke. It was the amount of time allowed at each location that was an issue. I would have rather seen half as much and given more time as opposed to feeling crammed. But even still, the drive was enjoyable.

The coast was beatifull, nice car and guide. The cheesefactory was not mine cup of thea. A long line for a bit cheese and even longer for an icecream. A bit more time on the beach or in the nature was better for me. Without the cheesefactory 5 stars
