Our Tour Guides John and Tom were awesome. Everyone in our group loved the tour. Nonesuch River Brewing gave us a great tour thanks to Shea. I would highly recommend Maine Brews Cruise based on my experience.

I was very hungover from the night before a let me tell you something.. JOE AND DON AND THE BREWERIES BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE! They were the absolute best and I highly suggest if visiting or live in Portland you take this tour with them. There were 3 different groups on the bus and they brought us all together so it was not awkward. ( Toy Story ladies, Susan and Mike... WE MISS YOU! ) We went to Brissell Brothers (BBB), Belleflower and Goodfire Brewing. Each brewery had amazing options. Thank you for an amazing time and we are all hoping to come back to do it again!
THE NJ BBB ladies love you all!

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Joe, was really friendly and knowledgeable about the breweries and Portland history. Stopped and saw a few historical sites and Joe filled us in on the history and area. The three breweries had a great selection of beers for us and even provided some snacks. Great tour and good way to see and drink around the city
Sarah Minischetti
Our tour guides, Joe and Jim, provided an excellent experience on our Drinks About Town tour! Our group loved visiting 3 different locations with different drinks/vibes. They were all unique and fun. Highly recommend for your next trip to Portland!
Lauren DiFabrizio
Amazing, fun experience! The best way to learn about Portland and see the sights. Both tour guides were not only incredibly kind but knowledgeable about both beer and Portland. Highly recommend!
Valerie Janos
We had a wonderful tour with Nathan! The bike ride itself was comfortable and scenic and brought us to parts of Portland we most likely wouldn’t have seen as weekend visitors. The highlight of our trip was definitely visiting Belleflower brewery where we learned a lot from Nathan and the Belleflower team. Would definitely recommend as a fun way to learn about/try local beers and get a good sense of Portland’s history.

I did the Casco Fiasco tour with Maine Brews Cruise for my bachelorette party and we all had such a great afternoon! Tom and Don were so friendly, personable, and deeply knowledgeable of the breweries. Plus, the beer and lunch were delicious. I would recommend to all!
Melecio Silva
Spencer was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about Portland and a huge beer enthusiast. He also gave some solid Acadia recommendations. Learned a ton and has a lot of fun, would highly recommend!
Maxim “Mak” Mendelson
Spencer & Joe led an incredible 3-brewery tour. They opened our eyes to the real truth behind New England IPAs. Highly recommended for people who want to experience beer in the way it's meant to be experienced.
Haley Lentz
Absolutely loved this tour! Our guides, Tom and Don were fantastic, and super knowledgeable! It was great learning about the history of some of the local breweries during the Casco Fiasco, and trying a few beers I wouldn't normally try myself. The entire group was passionate about beer, and very down to earth which made it fun! Highly recommend when in Maine!
Kathryn Rondeau
My friends and I did the Local Pour option while we were in Portland for a bachelorette party. I couldn’t recommend checking it out more! The drinks were amazing, the owners were awesome, and Jeff and Don were fantastic. We had the best time and the best drinks. I am not even a beer drinker myself, but I was recommended some things that I actually really enjoyed by the knowledge guys at the breweries! It was the perfect amount of time, so organized, and so fun!
Stephanie Callahan
My husband and I did the SeaPortland: Harbor Brews Cruise with Zach and Mike. They were both amazing hosts, kind and both very knowledgeable. Due to weather complications, Zach made it easy for us to reschedule our tour. Definitely a highlight of our trip! Thank you Zach and Mike!
David McKinney
Had a great experience on the Bikes & Brews tour with Don as our guide. He kept everyone safe and had great communication, and the breweries we visited were a great representation of the Portland beer scene as a whole. Definitely worth the money and one of the more memorable vacation activities we’ve ever done.
Sage Davino
We had an amazing time with our group, plus our guide Mike and driver Joe! Both were incredibly friendly and informative for our Drinks on the Town tour, which was part of my bachelorette. We had two informative tours with a local brewery and distillery, where we met with the owners and stopped at a new place that made their own hard seltzers/ciders. We had probably eight free drinks each and had a chance to buy more for the road! but don't worry, we got a snack and water with our ticket. All in all this was one of the best parts of our weekend!
Patrick Brogioli
Tom and Zach created a great, welcoming, and fun environment for the duration of the tour. The energy was always up and the beer knowledge coupled with historical knowledge made the whole thing an unforgettable experience. 11/10 would recommend to all who would listen.
Brigid Griffin
This was our favorite park of our short time on Portland! Don and Zach were our guides and were really great. We loved learning about both beer and Portland. The atmosphere they immediately created for everyone on the tour made it feel like we were drinking with friends. All the breweries and brew masters were great to talk to. We highly recommend taking a tour with Maine Brews Cruise!

We visited Portland from Poland, New York. While here we decided to take the "Casco Fiasco" tour. We were not disappointed at all. The tour bus was so much fun and I would reccomend this to any craft beer enthusiast. Ryan (Ry Guy) was our tour guide. He was outstanding and full of knowledge. Dana (our bus driver) was very friendly and helpful throughout each brewery we visited. We visited Sebago, YES, and Lone Pine breweries. They were all great but Lone Pine was by far our favorite. The food at Sebago was delicious and the brewery itself was immaculate. YES was really a diamond in the rough. I really appreciate their experimental work and the fact that the owner didnt get upset when I didn't like one of the beer choices. The PARFAIT beer was absolutely fanatstic. Overall I could not be happier with the experience and if we are ever in the Portland area again would love to try another tour.
sydney carlino
The Local Pour Tour was a fun thing to do when visiting Portland. Even in freezing temperatures we still had a great time! They took us to some hidden brewery gems. The tour guide was great and so was the beer! Lots of samples and they are open to catering to the group. I would recommend or do again!

Looking for a great way to start off your Saturday brunch? Jump on The Maine Brew Bus for some early morning craft beer tasting. Our guide Shea made us feel welcomed and had an excellent knowledge of the local area including all of the craft breweries and their beers. Shea made it fun for everyone by interacting with all of the riders and even playing some beer trivia. We did 3 stops, Bissel Brothers, Foulmouthed, and Goodfire, each had its unique styles of beers and vibes / atmosphere. Overall, what a fun way to spend a Saturday morning and discover some of the best beers in the country!
Dick Campbell
Guide (Chris) and driver/owner (Zac) were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. At Nonesuch brewery, the first stop, one of the owners explanation of the brewing process and the history of the brewery was informative and funny. I highly recommend the Nonesuch Red.
At the other two stops there was really no interaction with the staff. While there was no need to explain the brewing process again, it was too bad we didn't hear anything about either brewery from a staff member.
Phil Watson
Great way to experience beer in Portland. We attended on our honeymoon. Our guide Zeus was excellent, each brewery was unique and there was more than enough samples to try at each location. Definitely recommend!
Lorrie Bonczyk
If you enjoy beer! This is the tour for you! I’m not a drinker but I had a BLAST! I didn’t know the other people on our bus but they all made it so much fun! Our tour guide John was very educated on the different kinds of beers. He was able to answer everyone’s questions. Very likable. I would request him if you can. I know I will be on our next outing and Donny the driver too. Both superb!
Our first stop was the Sebago Brewery. We were served lunch there. One member of my party got the margarita pizza. He loved it so much he ate the whole thing. It’s a pretty big size pizza for one person. I had the pepperoni pizza. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. They did have a cooler on the bus for our food. So don’t worry if you can’t eat everything. My husband and daughter had the chicken sandwich and huge wedge fries. The food there was delicious!!!! They also serve a burger and wedge fries too.
We were able to tour their brewery. We had three different samples of beer. Everyone had their favorite. You could purchase beer glasses and T-shirts.
Our second stop was Lone Pine Brewery. We had a very lovely bartender there. She was able to help everyone pick out a flavor they might like. This brewery uses donuts to make their beer. A must try stop for sure! I had to buy one of their cute little glasses. T-shirt available for purchase. You were able to try three samples here too.
Our third stop was Mast Landing. Another wonderful stop. One of the owners joined us and told us how they make their beer. I thought that was very personable and added an extra touch to the tour. You were able to try three samples here too. I wanted to buy one of their little glasses but they were sold out. I hope they get some in for your future visit.
I don’t want to forget our outstanding driver Donny! He got us to all the brewery’s safe and sound!
Thanks again to John and Donny for a wonderful day! You two make a great team!
Over all, fabulous outing! Hope your outing is as fantastic as ours was.
Mariana Siqueira
The beer tour was amazing! Spencer and Joe kept us laughing, were super informative, and hooked us up with the best beers! Highly recommend if you are in Portland!
Justin Richards
Amazing tour! I had a bro of a tour guide named Spencer that showed me the ins and outs of the brew world and kept me very entertained and informed :) Tons of fun, highest recommendation I could possibly give!!!
Jelisa CC
The time of this tour flew by! We really enjoyed it. John, our guide, provided us with plenty of information on both the local beers and Portland history.
Tom Cornwell
We took a Bikes and Brews bike tour of three locations in downtown Portland. Our guide Spencer was very knowledgeable about the area, the history of brewing and distilling in Portland, and of the Portland scene. The biking portion was not particularly strenuous. We were greeted promptly by servers at each of the places we visited (a mead producer, a brew pub, and a rum distiller). The products we tasted were interesting and tasty. The bikes we rented were perfectly fine for the type of riding we were doing. I’d do this again in a heartbeat.
A Rob
Don, was the absolute best tour guide. This tour was a surprise for my 40th birthday trip. It was one of the hottest days in Portland but , Don made sure to stop in highly shaded areas. Don was extremely knowledgeable about Portland and even more knowledgeable about the beer and the breweries we visited. Don's relationship with the breweries we visited was also great. We were definitely treated well at each establishment.. I would do this tour over and over again...
Travis Tyler
We were hesitant about doing this vs. just visiting a brewery on our own. But hands down this was a WAY better choice for us. Mike and Zach were kind, professional, and so entertaining. We did the Casco Fiasco and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Food was great and the beer was just wow. I will recommend this to anyone who enjoys beer. 10/10 for this experience
Nicole Moreno
Don was an amazing tour guide! My husband and I did the Old Port Walk, Talk and Taste tour. We had a great group and got to try beer from Shipyard, Gritty and Liquid Riot and it was a great time. We learned a lot about Portland in between trying tasty beer. We’d definitely go again!
Jessica Lewis
We had a wonderful time on the bikes and brews tour! As someone who doesn't regularly bike on streets, they did a great job making me feel comfortable the whole way. Beyond that, our tour guide was so personable and clearly knew the folks at each stop, giving us the inside perspective paired with each drink. I could not recommend it enough!!
Christopher Riccardo
I took the Local Pour bus tour. Both Zach and Don from Maine Brews were very personable and entertaining. I learned something new at each of the 3 stops and really enjoyed getting to meet the owners/brewers from each location. It's great to see people so passionate about what they do, on both the tour and at the breweries.
A can't miss tour in Portland!
Samantha Vigeant
My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed our bikes and brews tours! We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We biked to three different breweries and were anticipating receiving one sample of beer per brewery, but were surprised to get a full beer at each! At the first stop we each received a full pour of a single beer, and at the next two we each got a flight of four different beers. We learned about the brewing business in Portland and got some background on every beer we drank. Because the group was small (9 including the host) we were all able to sit together at each brewery and enjoy each other’s company. Spencer, our host, was great! He definitely has a lot of knowledge about the brewing world and also did a great job of making the group feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
Meghan Rynne
These guys run a best in class business. We were due to participate in the fort and beer tour on a Thursday, unfortunately due to weather the captain called the tour and we received both an email and text regarding the update to see about pivoting to a different day and/or tour. Due to their flexibility and swift communication we were able to transition from the fort tour to a walking tour the next day.
Regarding our tour: Don is super friendly and very knowledgeable, it's clear how much he loves his city and a good beer ;)
Highly recommend doing business with these guys. Highly satisfactory regarding communication and education. Worth every penny!
Bee Davis
Amazing amazing amazing!!! Brought eleven girls on this tour who all have different tastes. The tour guide and driver made necessary accommodations in advance for those who needed it. Helpful in picking out just the right beer and additional activities after the tour.
Carley Caldas
This was awesome!! Perfect for our group of 13. The guide and driver were friendly, passionate and knowledgeable and took us to great spots in the area. They were very well connected and It felt like we were visiting their friends at every stop. Learned a lot about the history of spirits in Portland and tried some great beers and rum! Highly recommend!
Ellissa Corwin
A treasure trove of beer information. Zach gave a great tour that was not only packed with beer details, but also the history of Portland, ME. The walking tour was an easy trek, and each brewery stop gave us an option to try out four different beers and snacks. It was great getting to learn more about beer and getting to know our fellow tour members.
Corina Perugini
A fun an informative experience! We did the Drinks About Town tour and it was filled with variety. Loved all the places. Our guide Mike and our driver Joe were fantastic!
Bree Kyncl
I cannot give enough positive feedback about our tour. Don was amazing, adding so much depth to the day. He was accommodating, well prepared, and a very easy person to spend the day with. He added many details regarding local history and the local businesses we toured. The day ended with a lovely ride by the harbor. This was absolutely the highlight of our time in Portland!
Tracy Baack
Tom was a great tour guide! He taught us a ton about Portland's history as we walked around the city, which was really interesting. I honestly don't really like beer very much (the wives were there for our husbands, haha), but Tom helped suggest varieties to try that came closest to my tastes (including cider at the second stop). Even a non-beer drinker like me can enjoy the tour!

We had a great tour! We were in Portland for the day and decided to try this out. We took the Old Port walking tour. Shea, our guide, arrived on time and was really great! She's funny and informative. She gave us lots of history of the city, we got to see some very interesting buildings, and she also works in the beer industry so she could give us a lot of cool information about beer, how it's made, and the history of the local craft beer industry. We visited three craft beer venues and got to try samplers of many of their beers. Each person got to pick four samples (at the first two -- the last place we each got two bigger pours). It helps if you travel with someone so you can share samples and get to try eight! We definitely got our money's worth and really enjoyed it. The area is not too big so walking around is pretty easy and doesn't take very long.

My friends booked a tour for a bachlorette party. Nathan was our guide and what an amazing experience! He teaches history and I think it was a huge value add to the tour. It was the perfect combo of education and fun! Who knew Portland had such a connection to rum. The stops were great and I highly recommend.
Dan Loubier
Tom and Chad are wonderful hosts and know a lot about the history of the area as well as the brewing process. I was unfortunately ill on the morning of my tour, but the three others in my party were able to attend and they still talk about how awesome this tour was. When I met up with my party later in the day, we caught up with Tom and Chad when they were touring an afternoon group at Shipyard Brewery. Tom is such a gentleman, he pulled me aside so I could tour with the second group because I hadn't been able to with my group. Very grateful to Tom for that, and I regret being too ill to attend during my tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland, ME.
Darin Peterman
Maine Brews Cruise was really a terrific experience. I had the opportunity to go on coffee roastery tour of Portland to the Rwanda Bean Co. and it was so much fun! I am an avid cyclist and must admit our tour guide, Don, was very professional, knowledgeable , safe, and super friendly! If you're looking for something active and little different from the touristy streets, you need to give this a try.
The business is easy to find on Commercial St. and will outfit with you with a well fit, well maintained bike with riser bars and helmets.
Samantha Andrasko
Don was our tour guide and was super knowledgeable about both Maine beers and the city of Portland. He was friendly and personable and the information he shared was interesting, especially for a new resident of Portland like myself. The breweries we visited were great as well, and it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon team building with my co-workers and exploring the city!
Nicole Messere
I went on the boat cruise and it was an amazing way to see the islands, forts, and lighthouses of Portland from the water! Our guide Don was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We learned not only about the breweries and beers that were provided but also about the different wars that occurred in Portland, the history of why and how the forts were built, and how the private islands (which I didn't even know existed) came to be private. We also saw a few seals and a bald eagle so that was a huge plus! The boat crew was also extremely nice and professional. They made sure to warn us if the boat was coming up to big squalls (waves) so we would be able to sit quickly and be safe. The crew was also very knowledgeable about the history as well and didn't hesitate to answer questions! This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend it if you are looking for some sort of boating activity and beer!
Amy Monachino
We had a great time! Lots of Portland information, and we liked the venues. Belleflower was the best, and the owner Nick was a great host!
Jerri Carroll
Great tour in Portland, ME. Walked to 3 breweries and had sample flights at each location. Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable about the history of the city, each brewery and the beers. It was a very enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I would highly recommend the Brewery tours.
Christina McGuire
Such a wonderful tour of Portland-area breweries, wineries, and distilleries! We did a private tour for a bachelorette party and had a great time tasting a variety of libations. The Brews Cruise staff made the evening fun and educational, and the employees along each stop did a fantastic job teaching us about everything we tried.
Sonam Shah
Our first trip since CVOID. Also our first coffee tour. It was such a great tour, and we’re so glad we purchased tickets for it! Would most certainly do again and recommend to our friends and family! We learned so much about how coffee is grown, picked, roasted and brewed. Don our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about Portland. John the coffee roaster at Rwanda cafe has years of experience and was just as friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended from 2 avid travelers and coffee lovers!
Leonard Gaspary
Brews Cruise was an amazing tour. In addition to providing history of Portland, Maine, we also got to have flights of beer at some of the local breweries. Don was incredibly knowledgeable of both subject matters and super friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland for the first time.
Kimberly McLeod
Awesome beer and bike tour in Portland. We stopped at 3 craft breweries, got a flight at 2 of them and 1 beer at the other. Great to support the local businesses and get a taste of the craft beer scene in Portland. Highly recommend, well worth it!
John G
Don was an awesome tour guide! We had the best time riding bikes to various local breweries in Portland. The guy knows his stuff! We can’t wait to come back and go on another tour with Don!
Kathryn Lenhart
Highly recommend the biking tour!! So much fun. Zach was an excellent host. Got us to a few breweries/distilleries that we probably would have missed otherwise. One of the best parts of the weekend!
Sarah Smith
We had an amazing brew walk & talk tour with Zach! It was a great experience learning the history of Maine, the different breweries and trying Portland's top brews. The tour practiced social distancing and went above and beyond to create a unique experience. Recommending to all of my friends!
Christian Bryson
Had a great time with Zach! Very informative and he led a fun and cohesive group. He gave my family and I a good tour of the Old Port in Maine and the brewery scene there is like no other! Highly recommend
Kathryn Barry
We had a cruise today with Dylan and Zach and, I have to say, they made it the best birthday ever. They took us around Casco Bay, provided historical facts, answered all our ridiculous questions, and joked around with us. Both went above and beyond to make sure we got some amazing pictures of the beautiful sunset and all other surroundings. We will always remember our time in Portland, but Zach and Dylan made it truly special.
Marie-Pierre Lessard - Nomad Tours Québec
Maine Brew Bus definitely was the highlight of my trip in Portland. Don, our tour guide was amazing! He really knows what he is talking about and he is clearly a true passionate of his city. Ryan, the bus driver, did an excellent job too and was very friendly. I think Maine Brew Bus offer excellent value for the money. I would definitely book this tour again and recommend it to anyone visiting beautiful Portland.
Ashley Barton
FYI- If you are contemplating buying the ticket insurance, buy it. When they say all sales are final they mean it. Communication was great and they even discounted tickets for two group members who were pregnant, but when I had to cancel because my 7 year old son had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix they would not refund. I wish I could provide a 5 star rating but I would think some circumstances are different than others and deserve an exception to the rule.
John Bussiere
I give Brews Cruise a four-star. There knowledge was outstanding. But there was not much for snacks on the bus except for one bag of chips. And also the AC on the bus did not work very well.
Alyssa Bunyea
I attended three of their tours (two of the brew bus tours back in January and a walking tour in August). I highly recommend the Maine Brew Bus tours to anyone interested in learning about the brewing history in Portland and getting a taste of Portland's beer industry! The tour guides are friendly, knowledgable, and personable! On a tour, you can talk to the brewers about their experiences opening their brewery, their process of brewing, and ask them questions! This is the perfect way to try different beers from local breweries and connect to the brewers, tour guide, and other individuals on the tour!
Larry Russo
Came to Portland for a bachelor party, group of 13, and did the Beerunch tour 10am-1pm. The Maine Brew Bus customized it for us as well by swapping out one brewery and adding a distillery. We took a private bus and our driver and host were awesome. All the stops were great. Super easy to book and communication with the Brew Bus was super easy. Would 100% go again and recommend to friends and family.
Amanda Walkins
I loved my Brew Bus tour! Our tour guide, Nate, offered tons of fun info and insight into Portland at large as well as each destination along our route. Zach was our driver (and the owner), offering a safe and comfortable experience so we could all just sit back and have a great time. Our particular tour stopped at Rising Tide Brewery, Cellar Door Winery, and Stroudwater Distillery...and each spot was fantastic in its own right. Highly recommend this tour, this company, and its stellar staff!
Thomas Buckingham
Major Tom was a great tour guide with an abundance of local knowledge. Breweries offered a great selection and Maine Brew Bus took care of us with a nice pretzel basket at one of our stops. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to sample a few places while being entertained with relevant history on Portland and the brewing industry.
Daniel Lay
Highly recommend if you have an afternoon to fill in Portland. Walking around listening to our very knowledgeable guide doscuss the city's history both pertaining to beer and more generally was great fun. The atmosphere and fare at all three breweries we stopped at was great too. Just a very laid-back fun vibe all around, so that even after pur guide (whose name i forgot) made his exit the group was still drinking and chatting.
Esther Coyle
My best friend and I took the Fort Scammel Brew Tour on Saturday afternoon.
We found parking relatively nearby for only $15 which allowed us to go out for dinner afterwards without worrying about how much time we were spending down in the Old Port.
The tour was excellent! The owner of Fortland met us at the dock and took us on an amazing tour. The fort has a lot of local history and is in pristine condition. We all commented at the end amongst ourselves on how much we had all learned. I have lived here for over 30 years and taken a lot of tours with a lot of guests; this is one of the best ones.
The beer was also good!
Thanks for providing the opportunity to see this unique fort. In addition, the owner couldn't have been more helpful or responsive when I accidentally booked the wrong tour.
jhonny nicolas
Don^2 and Esther, first time in Maine so we signed up for this drink and walk tour. Such an amazing time, Zach and Don were both so knowledgeable and informative in the distilleries and the history of Maine. They made sure we had a great time, nothing but jokes and beers with some history in between, a perfect combo. Definitely had an amazing experience and would recommend this tour to anyone just visiting or in the area of Maine.
Jenna Friedman
We did a private tour and it was such a fun experience and way to see Portland! Nathan was a great guide who kept us on track while showing us the best of Portland. Thanks Maine Brews!
Colleen Gala
We did a bike tour of 3 breweries and Nathan our tour guide was awesome! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the craft brewery scene in Portland.

Walking tour a great way to discover hidden gems of Portland
We visited Portland for the first time a week ago and were looking for a way to get a local’s perspective of the city. We found the Maine Brew Bus Company through a google search and were pleasantly surprised to find that they were offering a walking tour during the current COVID pandemic. Our tour guide was Don, a local with extensive knowledge of Portland and how beer/spirits fit into the historical context of the city. He was very personable, and was respectful of both our time and safety concerns with respect to the pandemic. We visited 3 great breweries and had the opportunity to speak with owners as well as staff about the beer industry in Portland. There was something to fit everyone’s taste on the tour — we tried a number of interesting beers, meads, ciders, and kombucha. We were very happy with the experience; not only was it in of itself enjoyable, but Don’s advice helped us get the most out of the remainder of our trip. We strongly recommend building this tour into your schedule.
Claudia Luna
Traveling through New England and decided to try this tour. Had a great time walking around downtown, learning some city and brewing history with Don, and trying some new beers. Nice way to spend our afternoon and stretch our limbs a little. Tour was very friendly, polite, on time, and we felt safer with our masks and spacing. All spaces were distanced when trying our beers.
Rod Tewalt
Can’t say how great this tour was. My husband and I are new to Maine and the Portland area. We came away from this tour really excited and energized about our future here and all the great things that Portland has to offer! Much more than a basic brew tour! Highly recommend!! Thank you Don and Nathan!!
John bryant
I work in the beer industry and am very knowledge about all things beer. That being said, This tour was fun informative and entertaining! Don was our tour guide. He did a great job of tying local history with the beer industry in ME. For me it is a must going forward when in Portland. Not sure I would go more than once a year but think it would be an every year type tour! If you are in Portland and are looking for away to enhance your trip take the tour! (We did the Casco Fiasco.)
Schyler Lewis
We loved this tour so much, we took it both days we were visiting Portland! Both days, Nate was our guide and Ryan was our driver/second guide. We visited a brewery, winery, and distillery each day, all different locations except we did go to the same winery both days. Nate and Ryan were super knowledgeable and funny! The groups were great sizes; we didn’t feel rushed or herded like cattle. I would absolutely take this tour again.
Corey Birdsall
We did the curling and brew tour and had a blast! The curling instructors were very helpful and we all had a lot of fun playing a couple of rounds of curling. Then we went to Bunker Brewing and Mast Landing and got to sample a few different beers from each brewery. Overall I would definitely recommend.
Jillian MacKinnon
Had a great experience with Tom and Brian! Brian was our bus driver, and was awesome! Super enthusiastic and got excited chatting with our whole group. Tom was our tour guide extroadinaire. Loved the trivia questions and behind the scene knowledge we got. We went to three different breweries, generous four pours at each brewery, and a delicious snack from Union Kitchen in between the second and third breweries. Wish we had some more time to just hang at each brewery, but could not say enough great things about each place we visited (especially Brewery Extrava!) and the people we interacted with on tour. Must do for Portland!
Lindsey H
Booked a private tour through Brews Cruise for a friends gathering and it exceeded expectations! Nathan was informative and amazing. He fit in with our group perfectly and made us feel so welcome. Loved our experience, highly recommend!!
Nick Eighme
Had a really great tour with our guide Tom and driver Sarah! We visited and toured three locations, each with their own unique setup, and got to learn a lot about Portland and the brewing process. Both Tom and Sarah were upbeat and professional, and you could tell they were extremely passionate about their jobs.
I buy a pint glass from every brewery I visit, and was a little bummed that I wasn't able to grab one at Austin Street due to time restraints. Much to my surprise, while I was on the bus, Tom went out of his way to buy one for me; he literally went above and beyond!
I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat; it's affordable, entertaining, and a perfect day trip. The entire experience was so overwhelmingly positive, and I will definitely be booking another tour on my next visit to Portland!
Josh Barlow
Visited Portland and decided to do a Brew walk tour du etc COVID 19 restrictions the Brew Bus wasn't running. Definitely a must do!! Don our guide was the best ! Beer was Awesome ! And learned a lot about the City Of Portland! Great tour to do at this time of the pandemic.
Janay Bryan
I have been wanting to do the Brew Bus since we moved to Maine in August. I was surprised with the trip for my birthday in November. This was everything I wanted it to be and more!! The brewery selections were wonderful, the samples were eclectic, and the staff of both the brew bus and breweries ware both kind and overjoyed to share their passion for beers and other fermented goodies. J.C. and Mike (our driver and guide respectively) were not only knowledgeable, but kept things fun and lively. I would absolutely recommend this activity to anyone visiting, living, or passing through the Portland, Maine area. A one of a kind experience!
Thank you BREW BUS!!!
Brayton Pickard
Just finished the tour. It was a ton of fun. Normally I am not the type of person to enjoy something like this. I started out very reserved but Liz, who was running her first trip, help me ease into the idea. We hit four breweries including oxbow which was particularly phenomenal. All of the people on the bus became shockingly close and we're able to share our love of beer. The trip was well worth it and a strong recommend to anyone with a free afternoon in Portland.
Jesus Colon
Spencer is a delight and very knowledgeable! Lots of fun energy and the beers were good too!!
Jeff drove us to our locations like a champion. Highly recommend

We took the Maine brewbus today and had a great time. We booked drinks about town because it worked best with our schedule. The tour guide Ryan and the bus driver, Mitch we're both friendly and knowledgeable. We had an almost full tour but both of them spent time talking to every guest. We got to try a wide variety beers at three different breweries. If you are into craft beer definitely take the Maine Brew bus!

Love going on the Maine beer bus. This is my third visit with them! They always do it right. This visit we went curling. Great experience. My only recommendation is why the box water? Not easy to drink from. Also the vegi butter snack was the taste that keeps no giving. Stick with the theme. Pretzels 🥨 are best. Get a bakery to make you the standard. Keep up the good work guys! We love you and have and will continue to seek you out in whatever state you go to. Cheers 🍻

This tour was great! Don, our tour guide, knew all things beer. He was knowledgeable about the breweries, the beers and brewing. The breweries we went to had a great assortment and there was so much beer. A great experience!

Was with a large party and Nathan and Spencer gave us a great tour, shared some local beer history, and were overall cool dudes. Would highly recommend if you’re partying in Portland for a weekend.

The Brew Bus is awesome! I could not recommend it more than anything!!
My girlfriend and I showed up a bit late because our lunch was held up and Dawn was nice enough to stick with us and personally drive us to the first Brew Bus stop. The rest of the tour went flawlessly and had a ton of interesting knowledge, great beers, and awesome people on the bus with us.

What an incredible fun educational and memorable experience we all had for my sons 24th birthday celebration! With only our 2nd time to Portland, we learned so much of its rich history as well as learned so much about the different breweries and why Maine has so many! We cant wait to do it again! Thank you Don, we hope to see you soon!

Our tour Guide Shea was amazing on her first walking tour with us. Her Boss DON!! tagged along and gave some info as needed but between the both of them it was an amazing experience. I would do the walking tour anytime over a bus tour. To have more 1 on 1 kind of talking and joking made it way better. Our 3 stops were great and I would leave this as a walking option for the future. TAKE THE TOUR
Jessica Hodge
Great time! We did the walking tour with Don and had a blast! The history lesson was my favorite part (except the beer). Definitely want to do more like it!
Jim Devon
I had so much fun on this tour. The guides were top notch with lots of great local brewing knowledge and a super friendly and inviting attitude. The breweries we visited were just as inviting and informational. And let's not forget how amazing the beer itself was. Wait, a delicious, freshly baked that morning soft pretzel to make sure I did not get too tipsy?!?! Icing on the cake! Oh and did I mention you are served samples of beer ON THE BUS as you travel? Don't expect that on the other brewery tours.
Benjamin Knox
Spencer AKA David spade was awesome. Breweries were great and we we re able to try tons of different great beers. Would absolutely recommend giving this your a try.

We took "family" and rented a whole bus to do Casco Fiasco.... First, organization- this company has it all together, extremely good communication, organization & execution. I was shocked at the quality from such a small company.
Casco Fiasco is a great tour because it also includes lunch & takes one to some very creative breweries. Great way to experience the whole "beer explosion" in Maine. We are already looking at other tours. Great company, highly recommended!
Ashlenn Hoyt
Fun experience. However extremely difficult to get in touch with. I planned this for my sisters bachelorette party in Portland. We had some questions prior to getting on the bus and must’ve called over 20 times that weekend with not a single response. I also left voicemails. No one got in touch with me before we got to our reservation. Other than the responsiveness from the team it was a fun time and my sister really enjoyed herself.
Shawn Miller

Jump NYC
i have not taken this tour so i dont want to influence their rating negatively, but i did some research and for $70 you could just walk down washington ave. for less than 1.5 mls and already hit more breweries than they will on their entire tour, then take a cab back to your hotel, with money to spare.
plus, most of the famous portland small breweries this tour will actually pass by, yet those have better ratings.
not to mention that they also visit a winery ... on a brew-tour?
headache, anyone!?
just saying ... dont pass by all the other small brewers just because they are not on the bus' stop list ...
Todd Kibbe
