Beyond amazing experience with Michelle as our guide today. Booked it as a birthday gift for my brother and had such a fun time learning about all of the diverse food options in Portland. Perfect amount of food, great history lessons along the way, and a bonus art tour of the murals in SE. 10/10 recommend and would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such an awesome day!

As Portlanders who are well versed in the food scene, my wife and I took the food cart tour as her gift for our anniversary. We thought it would be a good opportunity to be guided by someone who could give us a perspective that we haven't experienced. And this turned out to be the case. Our tour guide, Herb, took us to food carts we may not have gone to, ordered items we may have passed over and filled us in on details about Portland's food cart scene that we didn't know.
Overall, this was a really fun tour and I would recommend it to anyone coming in to town and want to spend a few hours eating and being shown around, or locals who want to relax and let someone else make the decisions for you.

This is the best food tour I have been on. When I go to new cities I pick food tours to learn about the history of the food and find great restaurants. First the food was way more than I was expecting, so come hungry. The choices of the different foods and drinks were from other countries with wonderful stories about each one. Herb is an excellent tour guide and he explained a touch of Oregon history as well as about the food scene here. If you get the chance to take this tour, do it! Savor the dessert as it was the best!

Lost Plate is a great way to experience the city and the awesome food scene we have here. We booked this experience for out-of-town coworkers that were visiting, and it was a blast! Michelle, our tour guide, is knowledgable, friendly, and made our tour a lot of fun. I loved how they selected food carts that showcased different countries and cultures, and explained the history and significance of food carts in our city. I would definitely book a tour through Lost Plate again, and recommend to a friend!

Our guide Herb was amazing - fun, funny, and very knowledgeable. The trip was well organized, a great pace, and a great value as we left STUFFED. The food and drinks were very diversified and we loved everything we tried. If anything it was too much food as we took food home and ended up skipping our dinner plans but I wouldn’t change a thing. I loved being treated with a drink on a hot day to start and the taco was my favorite bite of the trip although everything was wonderful! We would love to see more of these tours from Lost Plate around the US. Hit me up if you make it to Seattle!

My husband & I loved our tour! It was such a fun way to be able to experience a greater number of items from the various pods. We both liked every single item that was chosen. Herb, our guide, was super friendly & quick to answer all of our groups questions. Even ones that weren’t about food, or possibly didn’t paint his city in the best light, he was always honest and took the time to explain everything. We had gone back and forth trying to decide if we should book this & we were both so glad that we did.

We took the Coffee & Donut tour with Lost Plate and it was a great experience! We tasted so many delicious donuts, and learned a lot about coffee as well as history about Portland along the way. Highly recommend this tour and our guide Michelle was awesome! Thank you!

The Portland Food Pod tour was great! Our guide, Herb, brought so much energy and enthusiasm as he led us from one delicious site to another. The portions were bigger than I've had on other tours--do not eat breakfast that morning or you'll be too stuffed!

Great tour for getting to know Portland's food culture. The food selection was wide and we got to try both meals and drinks. I would definitely say come hungry. The food portions are small but enough to let you try everything on the tour. We were full, but we didn't have leftovers, so no food wasted! I think that our guide Herb made the tour much better by telling all about Portland food cart history and other interesting facts. We learned something new! At the end of the tour we got brochures about other cool places in Portland to visit and I think it's a very good idea. I will try at least a couple of them!

Excellent tour. Great tour guide. Delicious food and plenty of tasting.
I recommend this tour to anyone.
Do not eat anything before you come to the tour, they give plenty of food.

Evangel was great! She knew so much about the city and the food and provided us with the best hospitality and service. GO HUNGRY! We sampled so many dishes and they were big portions too! There was a little walking which was nice to burn off a little food for more food. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking to try out some food truck foods so you can get a taste of a variety of things.

Michelle is an excellent host. She is very friendly and welcoming. She is also very knowledgeable about Portland in general. Amazing variety of different types of food to try from all around the world. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely take the tour again.

Amazing tour guide/host/story teller/everything. Michelle was awesome with her knowledge of the food, the locations and Portland I general. Food portions were very generous and I couldn't move or breathe after hahahahaha.
Would highly recommend the food cart/Pods tour.

Went on Lost Plate's Portland food tour last week and had such a great time! Our tour guide, Michelle, was super fun and knowledgeable about the city. Even the Portland natives learned something new. I absolutely loved the wine, cheese plate, and crepe stops on the tour.
It was really nice to have everything within walking distance in such a beautiful, interesting neighborhood. The whole process was super seamless with very little waiting (if any) involved at each stop.
I would definitely recommend this tour for people visiting OR living in Portland, as you're sure to try something new.

Michelle was an amazing host! She had great energy and provided some fun tid bits on the orgin and history of each of the different foods we tried. Ive been on a couple of food tours but this has been amongst the best and the portion sizes were generous. Thanks Michelle for a great bday experience!

This was a great tour! Michelle the guide was a natural! High energy, told some great stories and is clearly a true local of Portland. Donuts usually aren't on the menu for me, but it was an interesting tour and the coffee was certainly right up my alley. The donuts are pretty incredible, although if you lack basic self control around food like me, then it's dangerous. Thankfully, Michelle ordered just the right amount that limited my intake.
What I was really impressed with, was the incidental, historical and cultural stories along the way. It really brought downtown Portland to life.
I hear there are some new Portland tours in the works at Lost Plate, so I think I'll be back for more on my next visit to the city.

Great way to learn about Portland's creative food and arts cultures! Michelle was a delightful tour guide and the variety of dishes we experienced on the tour were *chef kiss*. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour for foodies! Michelle was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable and super personable. Everything we sampled was absolutely delicious! My husband & I can’t wait to come back to Portland to do another tour with Lost Plate 😊 …

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland! We did the evening tour, and I was not disappointed. Ryan is absolutely wonderful, so knowledgeable and passionate about the city, it's history and everything is has to offer. All of the places we visited were fantastic. It was great to see the culture and true Portland gems that weren't "touristy". The tour was my favorite part of the whole trip- thanks Lost Plate!

man I had no idea I was gonna love this so much! Michelle is an awesome person to be around, her enthusiasm and knowledge really made my day!! we only had a little over a day to spend in Portland, and through this tour alone I feel like I got a week's worth of tourism in... and maybe a week's worth of food, haha, it's a great value. I can't recommend it highly enough!

What a fantastic time! I’m from the PNW, about an hour from Portland, and have spent a good amount of time in Portland in my life. I had only been to, or heard of, one of the locations we went to on the tour. The wine stop was fantastic. Delicious Asian food stop, As a picky eater I tried many things I would never have tried otherwise and not a single thing disappointed. It was all wonderful, I’ve never been so full in my life. It was a great value in my opinion. So much food and so many fun details to learn about the city and it’s history. I pride myself on knowing local history and culture, and I was surprised by many of the details our tour guide Michelle told us about. It was an excellent time with friends and family, I highly recommend this food tour to locals and visitors. It’s a great night of entertainment to take friends or family from out of town! Not a single downside to the night!

Anyone visiting Portland looking for an interesting enjoyable evening might want to try this tour. We went last night and it was great. Michelle shared so much information about the area as we walked and the people who opened the restaurants we went to. My favorite was Fullerton Wines! Our host that served the 3 wines we tasted along with the beautiful appetizer board was very amusing. Each and every stop was an enjoyable experience! Thanks to Lauren’s knack fo finding interesting things to do and see. Anywhere in the world! I’m looking forward to visiting Portland another time soon to do an encore tour!
Phil Crocker
This was my first food tour and I was pleasantly surprised. Each stop was unique and most enjoyed. The Fullerton wine company was the highlight of the tour. The wine was excellent and the cheese and meat plate was outstanding. This stop set the mood for the tour. Each stop following was very good and the tour guide was most informative. We finished off the tour at the Happy Labrador Brewery. I had an excellent cider as I am not a fan of beer. I recommend the Lost Plate Food Tour to anyone looking to learn about some of the finest but lesser known food and beverage establishments. I enjoyed every moment of the tour.

Recently did a food tour in Portland with Lost Plate and had a blast! It's a great way to mix some of the best food spots in Portland while getting a little bit of history along the way. Our guide was excellent, the food was great and would highly recommend!

I am someone who always looks for food and drink tours when I travel as I wholeheartedly believe it's the best way to immerse yourself in the local culture. Lost Plate was exactly this and definitely didn't disappoint as Michelle not only took us to the best hidden gems in NW Portland but also gave us the most awesome historical nuggets along the way! Every place that we went was more delicious than the next and I for sure found some new favorites. I loved that is was a smaller tour group than other tours I have previously been on as it felt more personal and I was able to really connect with everyone. I would definitely go on this tour again and am not dying to experience one of their tours in Asia!

What a fantastic time we had. I had never been on a food tour and this was a great experience for all of us. The food was fantastic and the walk was fun and our tour guide was informative and made it interesting and she had a great sense of humor. I would recommend this to anyone and I can’t wait to go again. Hopefully this summer when we can sit outside and enjoy an evening in the Portland neighborhood. Thanks for a great time.

Lost Plate is an AWESOME Portland food tour! The tour guide was super interesting and friendly, and the food was amazing. It was the perfect mix of walking, eating, learning, and drinking. I would highly recommend Lost Plate for anyone looking for a Portland food tour.

We book food tours every time we travel and we travel ALOT!!! We expect a unique variety of food, exceptional flavors with detail about ingredients and preparation along with history about the area. Michelle checked all the boxes and she did it with an infectious smile all while accommodating the COVID restrictions. We highly recommend the food cart tour!! Portions are HUGE! Travel time between locations is comfortable and Michelle kept it entertaining; she’s a great photographer too!

We've lived in Portland the last 6 years, but this tour took us to places we'd never been and we even learned some fun facts about the city we didn't previously know. I definitely recommend this tour to any visitors to Portland as well as locals who want to have a fun night out. Michelle was a great guide and you'll definitely leave filling full!

I had such a fun time on my food tour with Michelle. She was engaging and bubbly and a delight to be around. I learned so much about coffee and donuts and we tried a nice variety in the downtown area. It was cool listening to the stories of how donuts and coffee influence the area. Thanks for showing me around and I look forward to taking another tour with you guys!!

This was a fun experience and I was happy, knowledgeable and full by the end of the food tour. Our group had a great time trying different menu items at the local spots in the NW Slabtown district of Portland. I would definitely recommend this as a part of a Portland visit. Thank you Michelle for the awesome food tour! Cheers!

This tour was so much fun! Michelle is a great guide, a local and knows great spots! We started at Fullerton Wines with a wine tasting and awesome charcuterie plate. The presentation was beautiful and the wines were great! Second stop: Grassa for hand made pasta with truffle sauce! I love that we just sit down and they bring everything to you! Third stop: Boke Bowl for fried chicken bao buns and a strong lemongrass vodka cocktail! Fourth stop: dessert at Le Happy! This salted caramel crepe with baked apples was like a delicious apple pie and was gigantic! Last stop: Lucky Lab Beer Hall for a pint of beer, some darts and fun! Overall a great tour of food, wine, company! Would highly recommend to anyone from out of town or just for a fun time with friends and family!

Such a fun, informative, and yummy tour! Michelle was an amazing tour guide and has curated an amazing food pod/cart/hall feast. Come hungry, and leave full and satisfied!

The restaurants/cafes that we went to were certainly varied in types of food that we ate and drinks that we had. Michelle, and he helper (Dominique) were truly spectacular. Their personality and knowledge came through at all times during the tour. I think the cost was very worthwhile. I would recommend this group wholeheartedly and wish they had other cities where they provide tours.

I went on this tour with some friends from out of town. I am from the Pacific Northwest and have been to Portland many times. I didn’t really think this was going to be as filling or fun as it turned out to be!! & our friends LOVED it too!! On this tour I tried foods I never would have ordered at restaurants I didn’t even know existed. I cant wait to have more people visit from out of town so I have the opportunity and reason to relive it. As I write this, I’m drooling & dreaming of the cheese and meat platter that kicks off the tour, paired with the perfect wines....yummmmm🤤

Michelle was a friendly, flexible, thorough and knowledgeable tour guide. The food selections were of vast ethnicity and generous portions. I’ve never been to any other food tour that offered so much food and of the highest quality.

Amazing food with a great guide. We started with wine tasting with charcuterie, then homemade pasta, then steamed buns, crepe dessert, and finished with a beer at a brewery. Everything was great and we were stuffed. Highly recommend.

There are a few things that I loved about the food cart tour with Lost Plate Food Tours….First thing is I LOVE that this is a small, family owned and run company that focuses on experience and quality! Second thing is that my tour guide, Herb, was so knowledgeable about the city, LOVED his job and LOVED working for Michelle and Lost Plate Tours. It was such a pleasure to be led around Portland with Herb and meet new people and new foods. There was a disgruntled patron at one of the pods we visited and it created quite an uncomfortable feeling for everyone, but Herb handled it exceptionally and was able to shake off the disrespectful & negative energy and continue with the tour in the best way! The food selections were amazing, the locations were super cute and fun and it was only perfect that it was raining! I would definitely recommend and take another tour.
