An afternoon on Lake Pleasant being narrated on habitat, wildlife and the building of the dam and reservoir. We are young seniors, traveling in our RV and were staying at the roadrunner campground. The boat cruise was very informative. The price was fair and affordable, parking a breeze. We really appreciated the people who drove guests in golf carts. We purchased our tickets online the day before. It may be more crowded as summer approaches. We ordered a couple beers and a bucket of fresh popcorn! The Captain and staff were friendly and welcoming.... we highly recommend this as both tourists and for locals.

The view was phenomenal. Meanwhile, the food was a typical American breakfast. Lastly, the crew was efficient, alert, and respectful. Regardless, the only thing that I think that they should improve is the shuttle. Add more shuttles, you cant expect 2 shuttles going back and forth quickly while more than 50 passengers are waiting in the heat.

Brought my wife and one year old daughter. This was an amazing experience! Close to Scottsdale/Phoenix as well. We saw Donkeys, Blue Herons, birds, ducks, and fish! Food was great, customer service was excellent. Beautiful sunset views all around. Very fun family activity. Worth the money. Will be coming back and bringing family/friends! Thank you Captain Matt and Crew! (If you need a high chair for a child, make sure to ask them before departure when you arrive to the docks and they will get you squared away.)

We had such a nice time! We took a sunset music cruise on Thanksgiving weekend last year and it was great. Music was excellent, ample distancing between groups, a few drinks and munchies available for purchase on board and the views, the views were just excellent. Will definitely be back!

Did the dinner tour, food was good, but cooled off quickly in the top deck. A slight bathroom odor outside the stairs to the upper deck-- probably can't be helped? Scenery was pretty but no offer of craft sample beers as listed on confirmation email.

Enjoyable relaxing sunset boat cruise with live music along the lakeshore. No narration for that particular tour. Beautiful weather sitting on the upper deck. Drinks were pricey but not awful. We will definitely consider another tour with this company.

It was a picture perfect cruise! This was our first time on the cruise and we were celebrating our 16 year wedding anniversary. The crew was amazing. The Bartender Cheryl, made fabulous drinks and was pleasant to talk to. We experienced the Sunday dinner cruise with Prime Rib and Salmon. Everything was reasonably priced. The captain and his first mate was too adorable to watch as they steered the cruise. The weather was wonderful and the sunset was mesmerizing. Definitely a return date night! Thank you Lake Pleasant Cruise for making our anniversary memorable.

So much fun! The staff was super friendly, attentive & helpful. Brunch was very good, bloody Mary was better than expected. The weather was perfect, definitely recommend getting there early & sitting by the rail up top. Only downside was the price, especially for kids.

Greatly enjoyed our Narrated Cruise. It was calm and relaxing. The captain gave good info but didnt talk the whole time, so it was a nice combo of informative and peaceful. Only minor complaint is that it was not explicitly stated the bar & snacks were CASH ONLY until boarding. If we had known, we would have planned to have cash. Nonetheless, we will probably return for a Sunset Cruise.

A good time. Went on a lake cruise with around 15 co-workers, the boat was spacious and clean, the bar on the boat had a nice variety of drinks at fair prices, snack selection was a little limited but well priced, the tour itself was informative and easy to listen to while still maintaining conversation with your group. Would go again.

Beautiful lake! The 90 minute narration tour is the perfect amount of time, with information interspersed with boat music that was pleasant and easy to talk over. Friendly ans knowledgeable crew. We look forward to taking one of the other cruises with this company.

We were a party of 6 on this cruise, 2 from out of town and 4 from Phoenix area. We had a great time and really enjoyed the cruise and narration. We were a little late as we lost our way and the crew were so patient with us🥰. Learned a lot about area that we did not know prior to coming, even the locals in party. Will not hesitate to tell others to try the cruise and to come back again. Anxious to take sunset dinner cruise!!

It was our first time visiting the lake. The complimentary shuttle service to and from the parking lot and marina was very helpful. The crew was very friendly and captain was very knowledgeable of the area and history. They even had my son meet the captain. Overall relaxing experience.

So we we were running late, about 5 mins away from the meeting point to take the shuttle to the dock. We kept calling to see if they could wait for us. Finally someone called back they made a call to the Captain and he actually waited which was nice of him. As we celebrated my good friend's Bridal Shower on this Sunset Dinner Cruise we enjoyed the delicious Bbq plate w all the fixings. It was awesome! The stroll around the lake was calming and the sunset was absolutely beautiful! Everyone was so friendly! Thank you for making it an amazing experience for us! Plus we got to thank the Captain on the way out! Will definitely be going again sometime soon! 😊

Cruise was great and the crew had exceptional service but the speaker on the lower deck for the live music upstairs was way too loud! It really ruined the comfort of the cruise and sound of the live music. It was ok on the outside back deck but once the sun went down it was too cold to stay out there.

Enjoyed the cruise and the dinner (veggies were not completely cooked). One suggestion- either more shuttles or larger shuttles. When you want to leave and someplace, you don't want to have to wait 1/2 hour or so.

Such a wonderful and relaxing experience. We chose to sit inside on the 1st floor because it was very windy the day we went. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could walk outside to the decks in the front and back of the boat for the whole experience. The drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Please tip them accordingly. Learned quite a bit about the area which was slightly unexpected.

Thanksgiving dinner cruise was a delight ! Wasn’t expecting much as we thought were going on a boat cruise and they happen to be serving some food. The meal was better than expected and the service great . Tables were tight so not much room to move around but tu made thanksgiving memorable

Good one for a half a day family get-together. Only suggestion would be proper sign or information on guiding to cruise place. Probably free parking for cruise customers would be good

Great time. The staff were all very friendly, Always greeted you with a smile, And the captain will even let your youngsters come up and steer the boat. It is a family owned business. The boat is clean, spacious, Plenty of seating, and also plenty of areas to stand and enjoy the views. The captain will even give history of the areas as you pass. They do have a bar that has beer, soda, and snacks. There is also an onboard bathroom, To enjoy the 90 minute tour.

I went with a friend on the Easter breakfast cruise to celebrate her getting married in a week. It was a great way to relax and have some girl time before the big day. The food was really good. They had Bacon, sausage, eggs, fresh fruit, orange juice, bagels, French toast and more. April was beautiful weather for the activity. downstairs was shaded and a/c and upper deck was perfect for photos. We saw several animals during the cruise including a donkey. Highly recommend and will do again Only negative feedback is that the directions from the parking lot are not clear so if you’ve never been to lake pleasant arrive early and that the line for the shuttle golf carts was so long that we decided to walk

We bought tickets for the Booze cruise for a friend's bday through lake pleasant cruises and it was so much fun. The DJ was awesome had everyone dancing, the drinks were very good and strong. Highly recommended doing this if you haven't yet.

We chose Lake Pleasant Cruises for its scenic views and the unique experience of having a wedding on a boat. From start to finish the whole crew was fantastic and professional. Amy, the bartender, did a great job handling the large crowd during the reception. During the ceremony, Captain Matt held the boat in the most scenic position to ensure we had an amazing backdrop for the ceremony. There was more than enough room for all of our guests with the downstairs serving as the more formal seating area and the upstairs being the dance floor with additional tables and chairs which was converted after the ceremony. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and highly recommend.

We have done this cruise twice now. Both time the food was excellent and the cruise very enjoyable. Our latest one was for Thanksgiving and was a great choice, food was good and cleanup was super easy! We definitely recommend this dinner date.

Beautiful blue water with majestic mountains... this lake is huge. The highlight was cruising very close to an island and seeing nesting blue herons! I took the 2:00 and will return for the sunset cruise. An interesting drive as well.

This was a beautiful cruise! The crew members were professional, attentive and kind. The M/V Phoenix was very clean and tidy. The live music was classy, not too loud, just really relaxing. The catered meal was suburb. A top-notch operation! I would recommend this cruise to anyone who just wants a little get-a-way, or a date night/afternoon. I highly recommend it if you have out of town guests and would like to show them an extraordinary time.

As we boarded we are promptly greeted by Fred. We decided to sit outside on the boat and Fred was quickly to assist us with a table so we can enjoy our Mother’s Day brunch outside on the boat. The weather was perfect, staff was super accompanying, the food was delicious! The BBQ dinner sunset cruise on the Phoenix includes, corn bread, brisket, pork, or turkey, beans & mac n cheese. I was really impressed with the turkey!! It just fell apart and melted on my tongue! I enjoyed the dipping sauces and the beans were SOOO good!! Definitely recommend this cruise!!

We had a wedding on the cruise boat, did the dinner cruise, and did the music cruise. All were first rate, I wish I could give the crew 6 stars. This is a family ran business, they are also boat builders, and built this boat specifically for Lake Pleasant. This is the relaxing way to enjoy seeing Lake Pleasant. Update 5 years later: Well, I was so impressed with the numerous cruises I have enjoyed over the years (weddings, narration, dinner cruises) that I retired and now work on the boat as a deck hand. I really enjoy working with the family that built the boat and runs the cruise business. The family's goal is to provide a fun memorable experience.

The dj cruise is now officially one of my best things to do in Arizona. I have had the best 2-hour entertainment experience, started with the captain welcoming us on board, the dj with amazing choice of music, and most of all the views of the lake. We had a very fun time on the boat. There was a very good band playing on board. A two piece band with no computer back ups. Just drums and guitar. No fake bass or keys just raw talent. The singer was awesome. There are drinks and snacks served on board...great fun..

What a cool experience! We were nearing the end of a seasonal stay in the Phoenix area, and someone asked if we'd taken this cruise. Wow, who knew? We did it the next day, and were thrilled. Every staff member, from shuttle driver to Captain were pleasant and informative. On our cruise, we were fortunate to see some wild burros, and a mule deer. It can be chilly on the water in the wind at times of the year. Bring a jacket and a hat, and perhaps binoculars. I appreciated the shuttle from parking to dock, as I measured the distance at 2,900 feet. No doubt we'll do this again!

The boat accommodated our group of 85 people plus service staff perfectly! The weather was perfect hot at the start of 6:00p on May 30, but the lower deck is air conditioned. Cooled off perfectly when the sun went down for everyone to enjoy the covered open air of the upper deck. The captain's commentary while we ate our Dillon's catered dinner was spot ON! The bar tender was great, friendly and accommodating. The dinner cruise idea of a "backyard BBQ" atmosphere on a hull was accomplished. Working with Lake Pleasant Cruises was enjoyable, easy, and no hassle. The whole event off without a hitch. The shuttles from the hilltop parking lot to the boat was fast, friendly, efficient, and surprised me with no backlog of people waiting to be transported. I can't say enough about how great everything was! You want a unique venue that is reasonably priced this is it.

We had an awesome time on this cruise around the lake. It's been about a year, but we hope to get back for another. They now have their full bar license and the staff is very accommodating. The captain took us to the north end of the lake to see the wild burrows and told us about the history on the way.

My 3rd boat trip with Lake Pleasant Cruises, this time with Valentine's Day dinner and the cruise. Food and drinks were great. Service good. Had a great time made some friends and in spite of rainy weather would do it again. One down side is the table seating was cramped and seating 10 adults to a table was like being on a airplane. I would take into account that the upper deck would have been used if the weather was cooperative. And would have freed up some elbow room. Good fun!

We went on the Narrative Tour. The captain provided the informative narration about Arizona and the natural habitat. We saw nesting Great Blue Herons and a wild burro. The bar was great! It is a very casual and low energy event. We sat on the upper outdoor deck which provided wonderful views.

We did the Valentine sunset cruise. The boat was clean and in good repair. The food on the other hand was sub par. The prime rib was overcooked and the portions were very small. I would guess under 4 ounces, served on plastic plates buffet style. Not totally disappointing but less than we expected.

Went here to celebrate my leap year birthday. Drinks where great . Staff was awesome. Live d.j. did a great job. But the best part was Capt. Matt. He made everyone feel welcome. I even got to see the inside where he was steering and took awesome pictures. Great times.

Great small cruise, friendly staff, clean, entertainment, and the ride was educational. The price was decent for the trip. Has bar but no buffet for during the day. Buffet for evening dinner cruise. But did have snack food chips,and popcorn. Beautiful sites and smooth ride. If u got kidos they get to drive boat for a min.

I surprised my husband for his birthday and we had a wonderful time!! Beautiful scenery, fun atmosphere, warm crew, and even meet some new people!! Not to mention, Lantern Fest 2019 was happening the same day, and eating and dancing at Dillon's made it a memorable night!! We can't wait to go back!

Always a great experience at Lake Pleasant Cruises, the Captain took our kids up to help steer the ship. The music is always a good selection and the bartenders know how to run a crowd very smoothly. Relaxing, informative 90 minute boat ride. Snacks and excellent drinks available. Seen wildlife and captain did his best getting large boat close to shore for all to see. Thursday is senior day so price is lower if over 60. Boat is 2 levels with restrooms. Dinner cruises are available as well as private cruises for parties, weddings and etc. Not wheelchair accessible is my opinion.

We used a voucher for the regular daily "cruise". Here are my thoughts. Pros: – The park provides golf cart shuttles between the parking lot and the marina – Drinks and snacks offered on the boat – Seating is comfortable – Lower air-conditioned and upper open-air levels – Overall relaxing experience Cons: – Snacks are expensive (which is to be expected, to be honest) and you can't bring your own. – Not much scenery to look at, unless saguaros excite you. Really, that's all there is. And other boats. Overall: Relaxing, but kinda boring, which is not the company's fault. It's a good way to get out of the city and relax with a drink, if that's your thing. Also note, I was told that showing my voucher will waive my "parking fee," but discovered all too late that they meant it waives the park *entrance* fee. Parking is free once you're in the park. By the time I realized that, I had already paid the entrance fee. Hopefully they straighten out their jargon so folks like me don't end up paying again for something they've already effectively paid for.

Beautiful way to spend a warm day or see a sunset. The lake is always cooler than the surrounding areas and the views are amazing. See the water, the wildlife and the backdrop of the mountains. A beautiful spot close to Phoenix when wanting to get away from the busy of your days.

My husband and I got married on The Phoenix on March 14th, 2015 and held our reception on the boat as well. Throughout the process, Kate Finney was very helpful answering my questions and called me right away if there was an important update (for example, when the marina changed their policy and no longer charged cruise boat guests for parking). I knew that getting the food (we provided all our own food and didn't really look into catering because of cost) and decorations down to the boat would be a challenge, but we were able to work with the marina's shuttles and only needed a few trips to get everything down to the boat. That was the aspect of the venue I was most concerned about, but it actually went very smoothly and only took about 20 minutes to take two car loads of supplies down to the boat. I gave my guests instructions on where to park and how to find the boat and told them to plan on a minimum of 20 minutes to park and board since the shuttles would probably be busy (there was a huge fishing tournament the weekend of our wedding). Everyone made it down to the boat on time since they were able to plan ahead (we had about 80 people at the wedding, in total). And no one had to pay the $6 for parking thanks to the marina's new policy! The wedding party waited downstairs on the boat while the guests boarded and were seated on the top deck for the ceremony. We were even able to use the docks/water at the marina to shoot more wedding photos while we waited for everyone to board. I had friends and family who helped set up for the wedding and clean up afterwards. Kate's crew took care of setting up the chairs on deck and wrapping the railings with white lights. I believe there was also a crew member helping with boarding, etc during the cruise but honestly was too distracted to remember for sure. The wedding itself couldn't have gone better. We did a sunset wedding because the lake is simply transformed at that time of day; it was so beautiful and 75 degrees the whole evening. Simply perfect. With the lights and decorations, the boat was transformed. I was so happy with how everything looked and turned out; it was even better than I anticipated. The wedding was absolutely everything I could have hoped for.

I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. My journey started with an almost two year engagement. My now husband and I wanted a unique wedding but we could not and did not want to spend the big bucks. We spent numerous hours a week searching for the right place and nothing grabbed our attention. With all the stress and pressure from our family on when we were going to tie the knot we decided to take a little break and go kayaking at Lake Pleasant. Fast forward a couple hours, we spotted "The Phoenix" and saw that they rented the boat out for parties. My husband and I looked at each other with the same spark and said "This is it! This is where we need to get married!" On March 16th 2015 we were married aboard "The Phoenix" and we could not have asked for a better day. The boat provided us with a unique and intimate setting that left our guest relaxed and enamored. The weather was perfect and the scenery during sunset is breath taking. Katelyn Finney and her staff are by far the most kind and friendly people you will ever meet. Katelyn helped with all aspects of the wedding to make sure that it was a stress free process for my husband and me, and it was. She took care or all the details that I otherwise would have overlooked. The entire staff was gracious in helping with the details of accessibility for some of our guest that had mobility issues. Even one of the deckhands offered up his muscles to carry my maid of honor up and down the stairs because she is in a wheelchair. The most important aspect was that the entire staff genuinely cared about making our wedding day perfect. They treated us like family and not just another paying customer. We truly are blessed to have had them there. We originally chose Dillions as our catering service out of pure convenience. However, after working with Laurie I highly suggest using their services not only because the food was wonderful but also because of their professionalism and kindness. She took care of EVERYTHING. All I had to do was tell her the menu (I suggest the Salmon and Prime Rib) and how many people would be attending and that was that. That staff that was provided for our special day were helpful in setting up the tables, friendly to all our guest, and kept everything clean and running smoothly. There is only one regret my husband and I have, WE DID NOT BOOK A LONGER TIME.

I've gone twice now. The first time was very nice and a great dinner for your special someone. The reason for 3 stars is because of my most recent cruise. I booked the valentines Day cruise and expected a bit of romantic ambiance than what we got. Besides some table clothes, a couple of chocolates and a tea light just thrown on the table, there was nothing special about it. The cost was about $15 more than a regular dinner cruise and did not allow children, which was good. But the extra cost and the occasion, I would have enjoyed some mood lighting and more of a romantic playlist rather than the classic rock they were playing. On any other occasion, this would have been fine. But they lost stars for effort on the valentines Day cruise.
