Travel between Philadelphia and NY couldn’t be easier. You get what you pay for, no frills bus ride between the two Chinatown’s. Bus is usually on time and fills up fast. Arrive at least 30 mins before departure so you can line up. There is a restroom on the bus but suggest you bring your own toilet paper/napkins just in case. There are outlets on some buses but others don’t have it so depends on your luck.

Bus was on time. Not too many stops.However, My seat was number 30 and it could not recline at all. I believe for more than 10 hours trip, the chairs should be confortable.

When I arrived to the bus location, the check-in was quick. Passengers were already on board and it wasn't crowded at all. We also left in a timely fashion.

This bus service, while a little rough around the edges, is very reasonable on pricing (especially considering current fuel costs) and despite what seems like a lot of stops, they get you there on time, and sometimes even early! The busses are fairly comfortable, usually have either AC outlets or USB charging ports, and free WiFi. Greyhound charged almost double the price, and nearly double the travel time to the same destination!

China bus they get you there fast safe the only thing I don't like that I'm really going to make an effort to make sure they do is to clean the bathrooms on the bus keep them clean keep hand sanitizer none of the buses have it and it was horrible I was going to call the governor but I'm going to give you a chance to fix the problem first keep those bathrooms clean we are dealing with covid but hand sanitizer Lysol keep them clean other than that I love the China Box

I like that there is no layovers it does stop 15- 20 minutes on major stops. U can get out and walk stretch seat are lil tight overall it get you there not that bad for the price

I went to visit my family. And it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Honestly the bus ride was great outsides it being crowded. But the station attendant in NY was horribly rude! Other than, no complaints here. (Traveled from South Carolina to NY, then to Boston.)

Cheap, clean, no fuss, smooth ride. When our flight canceled and our car rental fell through, leaving us stranded in NYC, we walked into the Allen St terminal and got 2 Chinatown Bus (Eastern) tickets to Washington DC for 25 bucks each on the 10pm late bus. I didn't expect much for the money. We got a clean, smooth, warm bus with no hassle that left on time and took us exactly where they said they would. The whole trip for us from New York to DC was cheaper and more comfortable than the cab ride out to the airport where out car was parked.

Had a good safe trip from Orlando to Chinatown & back again to Orlando. No complications. The only Con was the TV was showing movies in Chinese only, which if you do not understand Chinese it’s a loss. But other then that the ride was smooth as can be, the driver was very professional and drove the bus in a very safe way. No sudden stops or jerking, which in my opinion is what mostly matters!!!! The bus did make a couple of stops to pick up some people but once it got on the highway it was smooth sailing throughout with minimal stops to fuel and eat. Very satisfied customer! Would travel again!!!

Although they were running late, we reached New York from Charlottesville on time. Drive was smooth and they offered snacks and beverages which was nice. They are never packed to capacity. I have no problem to refer them. Will definitely go back.

This is still one of the best bus lines state to state. Just DON'T MISS YOUR BUS! I do commend the staff for trying to accommodate you if it should happen.

Great prices, but they need to clean the bathroom on did bus with bleach and Mr. Clean it smell really baddd and put air fresheners. Also, they need to leave on time and stop broading people waiting 5 min before the bus scheduled.

No longer the inexpensive alternative it once was. They're competing with MegaBus, Greyhound, BoltBus, Peter Pan, etc. So, there are other options, although they still do offer more frequent if not as many trips (least to NY) as others.

Only as a last resort are u to ride this bus I was coming from NYC to Columbus the bus was packed and I had to sit up the whole ride because the seat was broke so if i even leaned on it at all it would extend all the way back into the person behind me lap SMH

The people are friendly , i bring a mountain bike for past 11 yrs back then it was free last month it was $5 extra and today $10 extra way too much ,otherwise would give another star . Wish they had bike racks on the front of the bus that holds 5 bikes like the west coast. I heard there will be another bus service that goes to D.C and bike will be free

Always ride Eastern Bus company I've been traveling back an fourth from Virginia to New York frequently to assist with caring for my 91 year old mother suffering with Dementia I'm on a fixed income and couldn't travel if it wasn't for Eastern my only problem is the cleanliness of rest room coming from Virginia

As a customer riding the Eastern shuttle it was not at all as I had expected it to be. The 🚌 bus was too crowded where there was no leg room between the seating area and the aisle were very narrow. Overall the price is very reasonable $25 each round trip. also you'll reach your destination in an timely manner. They need to expand their buses with much spacious space in the 💺seating area and aisle, widened chairs too.

The company is good and reliable however coming back from DC the bus already picked up people in Va and the people there are really gross. It must be a bad neighborhood because everyone looked poor and spoke in Ebonics. So if you're traveling to by from DC take a 7 a.m. bus so you don't have to hear ghetto fools and their poor behavior. Btw TIP YOUR DRIVER it's not just appropriate, it's the same as not tipping your cab driver.

Cozy packed bus on the overnight run from Richmond, Virginia to NYC. No stops (DC or that mall in Maryland) as everyone was sleeping and we were flying. There were very few cars on the road early in the morning of 12/26/18. Arrived in Chinatown at 5:30, 1 and 1/2 hours ahead of schedule! There wasn't a seat to spare. Beautiful cold morning for a walk down to the SI Ferry. Highly recommended and inexpensive - now if they'd only serve some Chinese food and tea on board...
