First time in New Oreleans and we decided to explore the city on a guided food tour. Did not disappoint and we wish we would've done these guided tours on our previous trips. Our guide Kim was amazing! Culinary experienced of over 30 years and a local of the city, he is fun, knowledgeable and vibrant as the city!! If you are in town and decided to do a food tour....ask for Kim, you will not be disappointed

This is the best tour I have been on in quite some time. Amazing food mixed with history just cannot be beat. Our guide Lyndel was the best of the best. Having grown up here she knows the history well, as well as has great recommendations for places around the city. Thankful for her and the opportunity to do this tour. Highly recommend!!

She taught us history of the food, culture, buildings, and everything New Orleans related as we walked downtown from place to place. This tour let us get an authentic and diverse taste of New Orleans and the most favoured dishes, and the portions were excellent. If you want a good taste of New Orleans in one tour (literally and historically) then choose this company for sure!

This tour is definitely worth it!! Our guide Denise was absolutely fantastic!! She shared history of New Orleans and made the tour entertaining. The food was great! We stopped at 4 restaurants in the French Quarter and samples were very filling! There is alot of walking so wear comfortable shoes! Glad we took this tour! Definitely recommend!!

Roger did an incredible job! The history part of the tour was not described much on the website, but it was wonderful - added so much to the tour. I loved the food, of course. My favorite was the Shrimp Creole. By the way, most of the tour was in the pouring rain, but it was worth every step. Roger maneuvered that perfectly, only stopping under covered areas. This was awesome!

She clearly enjoyed her work and as a result, we enjoyed the tour. I personally appreciated the follow up email she sent summarizing what we did and giving us resources for further information. Suzanne Stone was out tour guide for the Tastebud Tour on Sept 5th 2022. A great historian about the city of New Orleans, food and was able to answer all of our questions. It was a fun and enjoyable experience, all of the food was delicious, I left the tour full and happy. A must do when in the French quarter, its a great way to explore the city through the food.

We had a great tour today with Kim!! He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and all the great restaurants we should check out. We went to several places where we were able to try some original New Orleans plates, I would definitely recommend this tour but do it at the beginning of your trip so you have plenty of time to checkout all his great recommendations!

We had a great time with Richard. He was great at blending the history of the city with the food history (by the way, the muffulettas were AMAZING). I definitely got the most out of the tour because I had plenty of questions to ask to spur him on. One thing to note for those considering this tour is you will walk quite a bit. As someone who likes exercise, I enjoyed it but those less excited about walking need to keep this in mind. My phone logged approximately 10,000 steps.

This was my first time in New Orleans and this tour was the highlight of my trip! The customer service was top notch! We enjoyed all the stops we made, the food and drinks were amazing and the guide was so delightful. She shared an enormous amount of historical facts about the area and made other food and drink recommendations off the guided tour to try. Being a foodie and having no idea where to go considering there are so many options I greatly appreciated the recommendations. My group of 13 did this tour to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was AMAZING! Kim had so much culinary knowledge and was able to teach us many different things about the city that I never knew. This was my 6th trip to the big easy and I’ve taken multiple tours and I’ve learned the most from this one. Plus, all of the amazing food!!! We left completely stuffed! I would absolutely do this tour again and recommend to to everyone. Just a side note, I forgot to mention that one of my friends was vegetarian (all on me) but Kim was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue on the spot. This is just a heads up for if you have a friend with dietary restrictions don’t be like me and let them know ahead of time and it’ll be all good :)

She was dressed in costume for the White City tour about the world’s fair. It’s definitely worth your time and money. 1/19/2022 went on my second NOLA tour with Roger. It was Awesome and I am FULL! Our tour guide, Linda, was fantastic! We walked throughout the French Quarter and got to hear about the history of New Orleans and had different places pointed out to us as we made our way to four different restaurants. First restaurant had 2 different sandwiches and I was nervous we’d be too full to experience everything- but the other places we stopped had the perfect size for tasting. We left the tour full (but not stuffed!) and with an appreciation for the different specialties from the area. Definitely 5 stars and I’d recommend it for your first day in New Orleans to get the lay of the land and find spots to check out for your time here!

Had a tour booked for our first day in NOLA. We were so excited. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed. By the third delay update we knew that we were not going to make our tour. My husband called to reschedule and got to chatting. He explained that we scheduled the tour our first day to get recommendations and the lay of the land. They took the time to go over recommendations for places to eat, drinks, hear music, etc. My husband spent a good 5 minutes on the phone and we made lots of notes. We were so disappointed that we were going to miss 1/2 of our first day and the time they spent on the phone with us meant so much to us. If they take 1/2 as good of care of their guests as they do those that have to cancel you are in great hands. 10/10 recommend!

We were lucky to have a very small group so it made it a much more intimate experience. We learned so much, and were able to experience some great food. Saturday 9/7 we took the Tastebud Original Seafood Tour in New Orleans. The tour was fantastic. Being food-centric our group really appreciated having 6 different stops with various versions of New Orleans cooking. A true highlight of our tour was our guide Lyndel who made a very hot day so enjoyable. Lyndel was full of facts and stories that kept our group involved. We were very happy with tour and service provided and as a bonus got to hear Doreen Ketchen play her clarinet on Royal St.

I did the Original Taste of French Quarter food tour. This was our first time in NOLA together. This tour was the perfect activity to try local favorite dishes of the city. Our tour guide, Lyndel took us to six different restaurants and even had us eat one of the dishes in the park by the Mississippi River (perfect touch). Lyndel even recommended amazing restaurants to try near our Airbnb. I highly recommend this tour if you want to try a little of all the food New Orleans has to offer.

A fun foodie walking tour with Linda today, was an enjoyable way to see a bit of the local food scene in the French Quarter. Our guide shared lots of local information and tips on enjoying the restaurants economically. Food options were good and portions were just right. We would have enjoyed our last bite to be something sweet to end the "meal" instead of toward the beginning but imagine that that had to do more with the route.We would recommend this tour, A Taste of the French Quarter.

We did the Sunset Food and History Tour and ended up having a private tour with Lyndel - a former history teacher - who naturally was full of interesting insights into New Orleans' past. The food was amazing! I was a bit worried about being a pescetarian at first, but the local cuisine is full of seafood options, and there was only one stop where I got delicious fried green tomatoes instead of meat. If I would do it again, I wouldn't overeat on the po-boy because there was still so much more food to come after that stop.

Tish was our guide and she did a great job! She walked us around the French Quarter and walked us thru the history of the area while we sampled some amazing New Orleans dishes. Each dish had a story and Tish told us the story tied to each New Orleans dish. The tour took about 3 hours and you were able to stop and buy adult beverages at a couple of the stops. You could also take "go" cups with you if you wanted your drink to go. New Orleans is a world-class food town and Tastebud Food Tours is a great way to get a sample of the best that New Orleans has to offer.

This is a must do in New Orleans! My fiance and I went on our first day in the city and I highly suggest you do the same. During the tour you get to try a bunch of different restaurants (all with delicious food), receive a lot of really cool inside stories as to the creation of some of the noteable foods, and tons of recommendations on things to do, and awesome historical facts. Our tour guide Linda was so nice and really helped us to get everything we could out of the tour! She was really knowledgable and gave us awesome recommendations for activities and places to check out!

This is one of those times where you shouldn't pay attention to the bad reviews. This tour was worth every penny and more importantly the time out of the day to go on. Its not a foodie tour but a tour of the French Quarter in New Orleans that includes a lot of history and good food of New Orleans. We were stuffed by the end! and knew a lot more about the French Quarter when we were done. Our guide Reagan could not have been any better answered every question, provided restaurant recommendations and how they made the food of New Orleans. The intent is not to talk to cooks but to have a taste of this great city and learn. If you want to talk to chefs pay the $$$$ for the classes they teach. If you want to learn and eat and learn where to eat like the real folks do here, this is the tour for you. We had a great experience.

My wife and I went on this tour on Monday with Richard. We can't say enough good things about our experience and Rich. He was full of great historical facts about the New Orleans culture and how it pertained to food. The restaurants were also fantastic. All the food was quick to be served and as is our typical experience in NOLA, the customer service was not lacking. We ate blackened red fish at Cornet with crawfish mac and cheese, fried oysters and shrimp remoulade at Tujague's, Gumbo at The Court of Two Sisters, crab cakes and bread pudding at The Old Coffee Pot, pralines at Laura's Pralines and Candy, and finished off the tour with char grilled oysters at New Orleans Creole Cookery. All the food was fantastic and we went back again to Cornet that night for more. Thank you very much, Rich, for the education and experience.

If you are ever in New Orleans, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not checking out Tastebud Tours, to get a real feel for the city through food. The tour guide Richard Crawford, Director of New Orleans Operations, has been in the city for 10 years but has a lifetime of knowledge of not only the food in the area, but the city in general. I'd 100% take the same tour if given the opportunity again in the future and would love to have Richard as my guide again.
