Reviews of New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours
Max Cheng (Max A. Cheng)
Phenomenal! This kayak swamp tour was so much fun! Really enjoyed this! Lovely weather and lots of wildlife. Gators, birds, insects, etc.
Our tour guide Kali was awesome! She was very nice and personable, and gave great explanations. Her stories were both educational and fascinating, really knows her stuff about the swap! Love it when you get a friendly tour guide.
There’s a shuttle that goes from 405 Frenchmen St for a fee, making the trip to Manchak swamp all that easier! Don’t forget to tip y’all!
Dionne Martyn
What a great way to spend a few hours between our conference sessions. Bingo was a fantastic guide, and really advocated for us when our van was without adequate A/C for the shuttle ride to and from Frenchmen St. He’s a strong advocate for the wetlands as well, and it was refreshing to have someone so passionate about respecting what this habitat has to offer. He paddled among the groups to chat, and had really insightful and educational answers for our answers. He had a few group chats, which were informative. Very relaxing and time very well spent. We went during the hottest period of the day at 11:30, which is when the gators are least active, but still saw two. Thank you.
Kelsey Futeral
If you’re wanting a peaceful tour of the swamp with naturalists, this is your jam. There’s no obnoxious air boats, no feeding wild animals, and no manhandling baby alligators. Nick, our guide, shared about the changing ecosystem, spied well-camouflaged alligators, ducks, owls, and plants, and pointed out native and invasive species. It was perfect for us to do - we have kayaked just 3 or 4 times - and the paddling was easy. The downtown pickup was super convenient and made this trip accessible without a car. Highly recommend and would take another tour!

My girlfriend and I booked an impromptu kayak tour through the Manchac swamp two days before take-off. Signing up was easy, and I thought the short notice would be a problem but it absolutely was not. Our tour guide, Bingo, was amazing. We all knew it’d be a hot one as it is mid-July but he was still very informative, interactive, and made sure to give us some breaks in the shade while he gave us a great speech about the diversity, uniqueness, and importance of the Louisiana ecosystem. I kind of hovered and asked a billion questions as I was very interested in the environment, but Bingo was very patient and answered every question keeping us very engaged. He is such a happy and funny person, it kept all of us in good spirits through a pretty vigorous (for beginners) and hot paddle. I highly recommend Bingo and this tour for anyone who wants to experience New Orleans in a different kind of way, you can tell when someone has a passion for what they do. We even saw some smaller gators! Make sure you bring LOTS of water and sunscreen, everything else is optional.
Quranna Khan-Coley
We had a great time with Bingo! He was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we had fun and were safe the whole time out. We saw some gators but they were always a safe distance from us and I never felt like they were a threat. Beautiful scenery and we even saw a rainbow!
Nick Osano
Bingo and Carter are excellent tour guides. They did a great job ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe during the excursion. Bingo had a wealth of knowledge about the ecology and history of the area. His stories and insights made the experience feel more personal and in-depth.
Stacy Corbett
Really enjoyed this tour. We took the late afternoon tour. It was so quiet and peaceful. Saw alligators, owls, other birds and heard several other animals. We learned about the ecology of the swamps and how they are being impacted by climate change. Since we went later in the day, we got to see a beautiful sunset.
Karina Neal
What an amazing experience! So well organized. So serene. Our guide, Bingo, was extremely knowledgable - we learned so much about the local wildlife, the ecosystem and its impact on the environment and local cultures. We saw many alligators in their natural habitat serenely sunning themselves or drifting in the banks. I would highly recommend and plan to return with my family so they can experience it as well!
Amanda Slama
This experience was so incredible. Very chill and respectful of wildlife and nature. Our tour guide, Bingo, is amazing. He is very knowledgeable on all sorts of topics and the vibe was very good. This organization needs to keep him as long as they can and give him a raise!
Sarah Greer
I wish I could give more stars! Absolutely gorgeous Tupelo-Cyprus swamp. We booked on a weekday in the off-season and ended up with practically a private tour. Our guide, Bingo, was incredible. He was funny and friendly and he knew so much about the wildlife and the ecosystem (even the role it plays in local social/political issues) and explained everything in such an accessible and interesting way. Overall, it was a unique and relaxing experience - probably my favorite part of my New Orleans trip. Only one thing I’d do differently: bring sunscreen!
Eric Boyer
We had a great time on the kayak tour. Our guide was knowledgable and friendly. He answered all our questions and knew information about the entire ecosystem and the animals in it. We encountered many alligators and different birds, including a pair of owls! Would definitely recommend!
Colin Hanna
Great tour. Worth the money, not just for the scenery, because our guide (Bingo) was exceptional. He made us feel comfortable as beginner kayakers. Beyond that, he was incredibly thoughtful as he taught us and shared his own reflections about the history and ecology and social issues that could be observed on the bayou, in the swamp. Awesome experience.
Carine Conti
Magical. We had the best time doing this kayak swamp tour with our guide Bingo. They were passionate and kind and fun, it was a joy. The other tourists were also very friendly and we laughed a lot. Everyone was chill and we all had a very good time. Bingo is really a good guide and you will learn about many fascinating things with them. I'll remember this day for a long time.
Also, this tour is really eco-friendly (and not a scam, as other New Orleans swamp tours may be). There is no feeding or touching animals involved and kayaking is not as harmful to the nature as are boats and airboats.
The pick-up service is really efficient too!
Highly recommended!
Thank you Bingo, wish you all the best <3
Debbie Minter
This was such a great experience! Mike was a great guide - he watched out for us but also gave us some freedom. He was very knowledgeable on the ecology of the swamps, waterways, and trees. We were beginner kayakers and felt safe at all times...even when we were spotting gators on the side! The kayaks were very stable. I chose this activity over airboats so that we could have a more intimate experience with nature and the bayou and I'm so glad we did!
Anastasia Trent
The swamp tour was the highlight of our weekend! Bingo was fun, witty and full of knowledge about the wildlife, plants, history and ecosystem of the swamp. We saw white egrets, snails, whistling ducks, fish and at least 8 alligators. The weather was perfect. We definitely recommend this excursion!
Alex Leung
One of our favourite experiences in Louisiana! The group size was perfect and everything ran smoothly. Alex was a fantastic tour guide, always open to questions and sharing stories and information about the swamp as we went along!
Sharon Coryell
The tour and the tour guide Nick were AMAZING! We saw a lot of alligators, yellow tailed Kayak Hawk, pileated Woodpecker, painted and red eared slider, and a barred owl! I would recommend bringing binoculars if you have them to see the wildlife that is farther away. If I had one negative it would be that the transport van seatbelts didn’t work very well and kept locking up, eventually gave up.
Candice Cogdell
I had a great time kayaking in the swamp! Alex, the guide, was very knowledgeable about the swamp and animals. We went at a nice steady pace. Very relaxing. There were so many alligators that I couldn’t keep count! We also saw turtles, large snails, variety of birds and a snake. Life jackets are provided but not mandatory for adults. I recommend bringing water, sunscreen, hat, shades and water shoes.
Helen’s Moto Diaries
We had a great experience with NOLA Kayak tours! It was clear that our guide Bingo knew a TON about the area. Throughout the tour Bingo shared info about swamp ecology and fascinating NOLA history that they don’t teach in schools. We saw lots of alligators, turtles, and other wildlife. 10/10 would recommend this unique experience for anyone visiting NOLA!
Andi Oles
I had a few hours to spend after being in town for a conference, so decided to invest my time with NOLO Kayak Swamp Tours. AJ, our tour guide, was amazing and very informative! He helped the new kayakers in the group learn some techniques so they could truly enjoy the out-and-back tour. He also spent time along the way explaining the history of the swamp (and the towns while we drove to the location - I do recommend getting the shuttle, by the way). We saw plenty of wildlife and alligators, it was fun t take it all in. The views and weather couldn’t be beat. I’ll definitely be back again, and highly recommend AJ and this tour group. You won’t be disappointed!
Janet B
Really enjoyed getting away from hustle and noise of French Quarter. This is the real Louisiana. Tour guide knew area well and provided us (only 4) with an up-close nature tour. We saw gators, learned history and was informed about how destructive Irma was to area. Nice city escape. Highly recommend.
Stacey Rieger
Outstanding experience with AJ and NOLA Kayak Swamp tours! The 2-3 hour experience was very informative and we were lucky to see so many beautiful wildlife including Limpkin, alligators (one was about 12 ft!), Osprey and owls! Maybe even an eagle. The overcast day made for very comfortable paddling, no bugs and a serene time in the bayou and Cyprus/tupelo trees. AJ was outstanding with not just great information on the ecosystem, but great recommendations for food, music, etc.
Joey Vee
Firstly, our guide AJ was most excellent; knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to genuinely care to curate a great experience for our group.
The kayaks were ocean kyaks (the sit-on-top kind), so really stable and comfortable. The shuttle was in a very clean, brand new van, and of course the scenery and wildlife was incredible.
This is a company that cares about the environment and will not bait animals ever, which is great.
Saw lots of gaters, owls, hawks and a bunch of other cool stuff.
I highly recommend the tour!
Lauren Parkes
My husband and I did the group manchac swamp tour. Bingo was our guide and he was phenomenal. We were picked up on frenchman street. Bingo explained the importance and building of levies and then stopped at a Pilot to get water, go to the bathroom, etc. A few minutes later we were at the put in and ready to paddle. We all got on the water and saw our first alligator pretty quickly. Bingo told us about Louisiana alligators and what makes them different from Florida alligators and other crocodilians. The scenery was breathtaking. We got to see an eagle and its nest. This is where Bingo also took the time to teach us about the different trees in the wetlands, the importance of the wetlands as an ecological system and the people that own the land. Could not have asked for a better tour guide! Thanks Bingo!
Kat Jarmoluk
A great kayaking trip and Nick was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the swamp environment and all the plants/animals in it. We saw plenty of alligators along with some barred owls, a water moccasin, raccoon, and limpkins.
Melanie Ciancio
We did a tour of the Manchac Swamp area and loved it. The views were beautiful and our guide, AJ, was very friendly and informative. We saw lots of alligators and learned about the nature and history of the area. We were the last tour of the day so we ended up getting to stay on the water a little longer than planned. There were 10 people on our tour all in double kayaks so it still felt personal. The tour also offered a convenient shuttle that took us to and from the French Quarter.
Ashley Porche
Bingo was a great tour guide! We had a great time, lots of alligators, beautiful scenery. It's a must do while in the area
danny peltz
A terrific experience in every way. Our guide, AJ, was great. We saw over a dozen gators, 3 eagles and got to learn a lot about the area. Highly recommend.
Christina
This tour was the best! Our guide was Bingo - and he was excellent! He was attentive to giving us space to enjoy the experience while sharing information as we went. His knowledge of the area (not just the bayou environment, but the history, cultures, languages, and economic realities of the area, etc) was outstanding. My three kids (20, 18, 15) all loved the experience and enjoyed Bingo as a guide. When I travel to NOLA again, I will definitely do this kayak tour a second time and would recommend to anyone. We will always remember that adventure. Thanks Bingo!
Chai Montgomery
The tour was exceptional. It's one thing to discover the beauty and tranquility of the Louisiana swamps (which are profound); but, it's an entirely better thing to discover this with an informative, enthusiastic, and capable guide, like A.J. I can't recommend this outfit enough!
Madison P
I had such an amazing experience with this company last month! We were visiting New Orleans and knew we wanted to visit a swamp and I'm so glad we chose this company. The customer service was fantastic and they even rescheduled my tour (the day before) when my plans changed and I needed to rebook. Our tour guide Carter picked us up in the French Quarter (I would recommend the shuttle for all tourists) and we stopped at a gas station for snacks and a bathroom break which is a thoughtful touch. He was a fantastic guide and such a nice guy! We really enjoyed chatting with him on the drive there and he answered the group's questions with ease. He is clearly very knowledgeable and amazing at his job.
Sara Moore
This tour was great - it was peaceful and we got to see wildlife. This is a completely different way to visit New Orleans and we loved it.
Lee Tracie-Stockburger
The tour was amazing. Being able to paddle through the swamp and get a close up experience of the ecosystem and environment of these unique wetlands was a deep treat. Our guide Bingo was incredible! He was informative and articulate in his talks along the route. He kept us laughing even as he invited us into his own passion and advocacy for the water, the land, the creatures, its people, and its history. I want to bring my family back for this experience.
A Coates
We loved our kayak adventure. 6 of us ladies had no problem paddling down the alligator infested swamp. It was all very safe and Bingo was extremely knowledgeable about the swamp life and history of the area. I would recommend it to everyone who comes to the New Orleans area. Make sure you get good directions to the launch site, we definitely had trouble with that. Book now, you won’t regret it.
Zak Bradow
Great trip. Our guide, Bingo, was VERY knowledgeable about the surrounding area, the landscape, history, etc. But not only that, he actually made it fun and was open for any and ALL questions. He was personable, funny, and just overall had a really good energy about him that added to this whole trip. If you want a more private, quiet experience through the beautiful landscape of the wetlands, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Ask for Bingo if possible. You won't regret it.
Patrick Griffin
The tour was lovely and informative. I was able to see lot of wild life on my little adventure in the swamp! Highly recommend.
Mathias Binder
Our tour guide Bingo did an awesome job - we saw gators, owls, crabs and other wildlife during our kayak tour in the swamp. The nature is beautiful and our tour guide explained the many different facets of the swamp ecosystem which was very interesting. Personally I was interested in other aspects and we also would talk about the great impact, the bayou has had upon the Mississippi region.
I definitely recommend this tour!
egg head
My sister and I did the kayak swamp tour and thought it was great! Our guide Sam was friendly and knowledgable about the wildlife. The kayaking was at your own pace and it was very peaceful and scenic on the swamp from start to end. The whole experience from pick up downtown by a friendly and enthusiastic bus driver (Dwayne) and free drinks on the kayak was great. Would recommend this tour to anyone going to New Orleans.
Madeleine May
Our group had an amazing time kayaking the bald cypress swamp. We saw a lot of great animals like gators and snakes and owls… plus learned a lot about the ecosystem. Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable!
Lupe Banales
My hubby and I, and two other individuals were on the tour besides our guide. So we were a very small group that kayaked through the swamp. The kayaking was amazing on the swamp. The flow was slow and the environment was every shade of greens and browns. Beautiful! Our guide AJ, made our trip fun and informative. He knows the area well and it’s inhabitants. We felt safe and had a memorable wonderful time.
Shastah Horn
My partner and I had an AMAZING time on the tour. Neither of us had kayaked before and the tour was very beginner friendly. Our guide Bingo was so funny and knowledgeable, he did the perfect amount of sharing information and just letting us paddle and site see. He honestly made the tour. Would happily go again!
Amber Wiza
I had an amazing trip to New Orleans, and this was the highlight! Cannot recommend enough. If you're looking to get out of the city for a bit and experience some of the natural environment, please consider booking this kayak tour!
I'd originally been looking at the boat tours through the swamp, which seem much more frequent, when I came across pictures of them holding baby alligators and feeding adult alligators. I couldn't bring myself to support a company that thinks that kind of behavior is ok. Almost anywhere else you go, rule number one of wildlife is "don't feed the wildlife". That should apply here too, but the boat companies all seem to put profit above what's actually beat for the animals.
The kayak trip was so beautiful and peaceful, and the guide was knowledgeable about the local animals and the swamp itself. Amazing experience!
Alex W
Awesome experience! Bingo, our tour guide, was a pleasure to be around, a fountain of knowledge and loads of fun.
Christopher Strider
This was a wonderful tour. Our guide, Bing, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. We were able to get a nice variety of encounters with gators, turtles, and birds along the way. Bing was able to teach us about the region from a historical, ecological, and socio-economic perspective. Very interesting to learn about how interconnected the bayou is to everything about southern Louisiana. I would highly recommend this tour and, if possible, request Bingo!
Sandy Fox
What a fantastic tour!!! We had an amazing time and are SO happy we got Carter as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went the extra mile to help my daughters find snakes and gators. I highly recommend this kayak swamp tour for locals and tourists!! We will definitely be back.
Jeremy Redmond
This was truly a great company to enjoy a kayak swamp tour with! They were efficient getting us going and very knowledgeable of the wildlife and flora of the region. We saw at least 15 alligators. Initially they were sunbathing but by the end many were floating around in the water! It's totally worth the trip and I can't wait to do it again!
Sabrina Madero
We had a fantastic time on our ride. We had a great tour guide, Bingo, we hadn’t realized just how educational our ride was gonna be. But being from out of town and knowing nothing about the wetlands in Louisiana, we learned so much. All from the types of plants you’ll be kayaking through, to the history of the people surrounding the land. Sadly we didn’t see any alligator during our tour though, but just means we have to come back!
Breauna Conner
It was an amazing experience! I planned it for my boyfriend’s birthday and he loved it. Our tour guide Alex was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the swamp. Recommend wearing light clothing and bringing water. I would definitely come back again!
Caroline Lloyd
Amazing morning out! The swamp was beautiful and we saw a few alligators and other wildlife. Our guide, Bingo, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the swamp and conservation. Definitely worth the cost and one of the best tours we've done.
Brendan Horton
We had a great time on our Kayak tour! We spent a long time searching for an eco friendly/conscious tour, and are very happy with what we picked! Our guide Alex was very knowledgable about the area, local wildlife, and shared great stories on the tour. The kayaking was a bit of work, but the pacing and rest time was the perfect balance! We saw lots of wildlife including a handful of baby Crocodiles, would definitely do again!
Alejandro Villavicencio
Bingo was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and cared a lot about the wet lands and environment. The tour was fun and safe, don't go hangover. :-)
Maggie LeBlanc
So fun! Best way to experience the swamp. No, the alligators don't bother you. Our guide was super chill and had some good folk lore to tell us. Could have done a little more story telling but it was a great experience nonetheless!
Go in the morning or you'll likely be rained out (earlier the better). Wear sunscreen and bug spray (even though some bugs don't care what you have on!)
Two of the girls I was with had never been in a kayak before and they did fine so even if you've never been in a kayak, you'll be good.
Dustin Matchett
This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Bing, is so knowledgeable & articulate about the ecological history & present of the swamp & the surrounding region, and really helped us kayak through the watery landscape & get the most out of our time there. I would give 6 stars if I could! I hope to be able to take this tour again. We saw several gators including babies which was a big treat.
Andy Chan
Loved the extended swamp tour. Nick was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and passionate. The 4 hours gave us time to be leisurely and stop to see things, ask questions, and not feel rushed. More people should opt for this opportunity to see a genuine look at the Bayou!
kai wilson
Really fun trip, our guide AJ was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we all had a good time!
Bob Templin
This was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Bingo, was a delight and really helped make this kayaking trip a lifetime memory. His knowledge and humor was appreciated by all of us, especially the first time kayakers. Kudos to New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours!
Shruti Punjabi
Had a great time with our kayak tour guide Bingo. A unique experience for those who like adventure. Do carry mosquito repellant as there will be bugs, spiders and flies in the swamp. Overall, great experience.
Cassandra Cohen
Great tour! We had Nick and he was very knowledgeable about the trees and animals. My favorite part was going into the tight swamp areas where you really had to maneuver your kayaks to get around. It was so beautiful! An arm and core workout for sure! I was surprised to see the kayaks were all tandem. I expected to have my own (based on the images at the website) but it was ok. My friend and I found we are quite compatible for a tandem kayak. Highly recommend! Saw so many alligators. They were smaller (but 5-7 years old) so no worries a Lake Placid monster was going to get you.
Amber M Ray
I work for a conservation organization in NJ and while traveling with colleagues to New Orleans for a conference, wanted to book a team-building experience exploring Louisiana's natural areas. We couldn't have picked a better tour! Our guide AJ was super friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. We got to see a variety of wildlife and learned a lot about the local habitat--and great places to eat! Highly recommended.
Michele Mire
Nick was a great guide! I booked the extended tour, and got to see so much more wildlife. We saw Ibises, Limpkins, Eagles, Woodpeckers, Owls, and one quite beautiful racoon. We would have paddled right by some of these, but Nick stopped us to point them out. It was quite a lovely experience. I would recommend to anyone interested exploring the bayou just a little bit deeper.
Adam Gabardy
AJ was a great guide with extensive knowledge of the area and environment. In addition to alligators and turtles we had the privilege of watching a bald eagle swoop in and out of its next! If want an up close and personal view of the local wildlife I highly recommend these guys.
Anne Marie Welter
This was super fun! My husband and I loved kayaking through the swamp. THE BEST PART OF OUR NOLA TRIP. Our tour guide was fantastic, laid back, and told some fun history about the Manchak Swamp. Please do this tour.
Carina Merrick
We went in mid-October and it was the highlight of our trip to NOLA. Our guide Bingo was fun and knowledgeable (I gave him a vague bird description and he knew right away what it was) and brought an unusually nuanced view of the human/ecosystem relationship. Conditions made for fairly easy kayaking though occasionally you'd have to push off an underwater log. We saw great blue herons, turtles, lots of limpkins (the aforementioned bird), butterflies and dragonflies, and best of all we saw something like twelve alligators. I think that's more than usual :) I'd previously been on a motorized-boat swamp tour where they have to lure in the gators, who would otherwise be scared off by the boat. But with the kayaks, you got to see the gators just lounging on logs near the waterline, or swimming across, as they normally would. Don't be nervous about the gators, they have NO interest in touching your kayak and most were far too small to capsize you even if they wanted to, which they don't. Highly recommend, would definitely do this again.
Priscilla Swanson
Excellent tour. Our guide Kayla was so friendly and knowledgeable.
Cheree Franco
My friends and I were excited to get out in the Manchac Swamp, but when I put together my folding kayak, I noticed a crack. It took on water immediately and wasn't swamp-worthy, and the other vessel, a canoe, already had three people. Luckily, the extremely kind people at NOLA Kayak Swamp Tours were at the take-out with a couple of trailers of 'yaks, and noticed my predicament. AJ and Bingo offered to lend me a kayak and didn't even ask for payment. They were incredibly kind and just let me toss it on the trailer when I got back, so I didn't even have to be on their timetable. The people on the tour seemed to have a great time, but I didn't actually take the tour. I just wanted to leave a review and say how helpful and generous and kind these folks were to rescue a fellow boater, so that we didn't drive all the way out from New Orleans in vain.
Ursula Weaver
Tour Guide Mr Bingo was very professional and knowledgeable about the history of the swamps, the animals and fauna. We enjoyed the Tour very much. I booked it for my visitors from Germany, and they were fascinated by the area.
James Jennings
Kelley the tour guide was a trip. He added a eccentric vibe and was very informative on the area. I particularly enjoyed the tales of gator hunting and liked his take on the spiritual side of the hunt. Plus for no charge you can do yoga on the voyage- impressive. Highly recommend
Tim E
We had a great time. We went in october and saw a lot of alligators sunbathing, which was great. With the Kayaks it was also quit quiet and we could hear all the sounds of nature clearly. Our host Sam was also great!
Amy Tsao
Had an awesome time with Bingo on the 9:30 tour yesterday. Really knowledgeable guide who really cares about educating tourists about the swamp and its wildlife. It was my first time paddling so I did a tandem with my guy and it was simple to pick up. We saw birds, rat snakes, gators, and a bald eagle nest. Just FYI- the pickup spot didn't have picnic tables out so we all waited on the corner. There's a gas station stop to pick up anything you forgot to pack (or Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds) on the way. Recommend wearing sandals or water shoes and bringing a small bag that you don't mind getting wet.
Nick Hudanich
Best kayaking experience I could have possible hoped to have. Swamps are fantastic places, and it was exciting and engaging to explore with our guide. Lots of gators, ducks, and other birds on a temperate summer day. Would do again.
Alecander Graf
Had a great time paddling through the mystic swamps, seeing several sun-bathing alligators, turtles and a swimming snake. Our guide Bingo had fascinating stories to tell about everything from the geographical background to the wildlife to the history of the various communities that lived and live here.
Jo Hidalgo
It was a lot of fun, but they should of told us that there was bathrooms. You literally park by the swamp and go on the tour, which itself was GREAT! Bingo was our tour guide and did a great job!
B K
Fantastic tour, beautiful scenery. Bingo was super knowledgeable and a great tour guide

We had a wonderful experience with AJ, our tour guide this week for an afternoon kayak adventure. Despite all weather odds not being in our favor, everything turned out beautifully. He was so knowledgeable and shared quite a bit about conservation efforts, invasive species, and other threats to the bayou. I learned so much as well as having time to just take in the natural wonders of Lousiana bayou country. Definitely recommend booking for all group types, solo, couples, groups, etc.!
Kayla Miller
Bingo is the best Kayak swamp guide! He was very knowledgeable about the local history, plant life, and animals on the River. We felt safe, had fun and learned a lot - 10/10 would recommend or come back!!
Elliot Kaplan
We had a great trip and Alex was amazing! We saw lots of alligators as well as other wildlife. Very relaxing and fun. Two hours was perfect.
Matt Marks
Had a great experience on the Monday 12/5 9 AM tour! Had essentially a private tour with just my group due to the offseason timing and learned a bunch about the swamp ecosystem! Highly recommend the morning when it’s quietest.
Kaitlyn Zielinski
We had a great time on our outing! Bingo, our guide, was wonderful! He was extremely knowledgable and was open to questions. He was helpful, informative, and fun! Good vibes all around!
Joanna Horevay
Loved it! So peaceful and the nature was beautiful. We had a wonderful time and would go again. Spring and fall are when the gators are out but we still saw 4 and other wildlife. Thank you!
Jonathan Dean
A beautiful adventure, glorious day and Bingo did all he could to make sure we all had a fine time. Kayaked past a couple alligators, turtles, herons, eagle...I'm impressed by how much Bingo taught us about the environment, history, and cultures down here.
Matt Clarke
This kayak tour was so fun! The guide was amazing, friendly and professional. We were really happy we went on this tour. We only saw two gators, but it was a really peaceful and beautiful kayak ride in the Bayou. If you get a chance go off of the rope swing, its a very cool story to tell!
Sarah Scott
We took the Manchac tour with Bingo, who was super knowledgeable about the historically accurate peoples, rituals, and traditions of the area. Definitely recommend visiting in September as the temperatures are lovely and the wildlife is abundant.
Spencer Nord
This was on our list of things we had to do when coming out to New Orleans. It did not disappoint. Our tour guide was great (AJ). Despite not seeing many animals, he knew a lot about them and the vegetation and told lots of interesting facts about it all. He is clearly passionate about the work he does and it shows in the quality of tour he gives. Our only complaint had to do with the group we were with. If you go, you'll want to be with people who won't be making a lot of noise and constantly running into you. We also recommend going in warmer months if you are interested in seeing alligators. Because it was December, they had moved further inland already. But highly recommend this company and tour!
Emma Johnson
we had a wonderful tour of the swamp! Ryan is a knowledgeable guide who gave us lots of interesting facts and stories about the area
p w
We had a lovely time with AJ. He is very knowledgeable of the swamps and its many inhabitants. But more than anything, I really enjoyed the deep respect he conveys for the wildlife and its ecosystems. No disturbance of the aligator's habitat, nor any silly marshmellow-feeding going on. Great tour, authentic and serence experience. And yes, we saw a whole lot of aligators. ;-)
Alecea P. Rathbun
We had such a great experience on our tour today. Our guide was Carter and he was so kind and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone, even beginner kayakers such as ourselves.
Milana Clauss
It was a very great tour. Everything was like in the description, we had a very nice and friendly guide! Info: Bring extra shoes and pants with you, it could be necessary.

Signed up to this with TripAdvisor. Our guide was Jeffrey...he is super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We did a 2 pm tour that ended just before it got dark...gave us the whole 411 on the area, the history, the habitat... Unfortunately we didn't get to see any wild life from the area. Our group was small so we were moving at a good clip...
Again, wish there was more to see besides the cypress, swamp and that one heron that flew by. Perhaps it was because we were in town right before the new year.
Samantha Goforth
The tour guide had some good information. If you drive yourself be aware there are no restrooms at the launch point so go before you show up.
Emmett Seifert
We had Josh as our guide. He was fantastic! From when we got picked up in the French Quarter to when we stopped to get in our Kayaks he was giving us amazing facts about the area via the environment. We saw a bunch of Gators, even with it being cloudy and not that warm. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a more intimate feel of the Swaps!
Gabriel Parra
I did the Manchac Mystic Wildlife Kayak Tour and it was such a blast. The tour guide was awesome really knew some cool facts about where we were kayaking and also made sure we were all doing good. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an adventure to do in New Orleans other than drink and party on burbon st. I did this in July and it was on a hot humid day so just plan on it being a physical activity. I'm a 250lbs alright shape guy and I managed well, just drank lots of water and applied good amount of sunscreen. In all you will have a blast, my tour group had about 14 people and it was a blast. Worth every cent.
Kristi Rose
This was totally worth the money. Our guide AJ was fantastic, knowledgeable, and pleasant. We could have stayed out there all day. Would highly recommend this tour.
E.B. Fouts
Wonderful break from a busy conference week -- We saw lots of bird (including an owl), and had perfect views of several alligators relaxing in the afternoon sun. Would go again in a heartbeat!
Cherian Varghese
Amazing experience with New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours! Our guide Bingo was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Would definitely recommend!!!
Teresa Balistreri-Warsh
This kayak tour was awesome! The location was beautiful, our guide was well informed, and it was easy to kayak around the area. We saw a few birds, some alligators (those of us that were on the search) turtles, and wild flowers. It’s so cool to see the eco system of the swamp and enjoy this beautiful place.
Bruce Comeaux
Such a great time! Exercise yet relaxing. Scenery was fantastic. Our guide Sam was informative and a genuinely nice person.
Shelby Swagel
Fantastic kayak tour with Bingo! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us great insight into the city and state history!
Miguel Veintimilla
Experience the wild wonderful and beautiful Louisiana! Amazing out remote this tour feels so close to New Orleans. The company was super great about opening up early morning tours for us at our request and keeping in contact to make sure we were able to find the location.
Patrick Keaveny
We had a fantastic tour with Slash! He was super informative and clearly passionate about wetland conservation issues in Louisiana. The setting of Manchac swamp is breathtaking! We saw a handful of wildlife, alligators, eagles, owls and turtles. I'll bring a crew next time! Go Bucks!
Lisa Johns
Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Had an amazing day paddling through Shell bank bayou it was so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful.
Gregg Re
It was a very fun tour and Bingo was great. He helped make sure we had a great experience and had a great attitude. Even if you have zero experiencing kayaking, you will get the hang of it quickly, and it becomes a lot of fun to steer the kayak with a tandem partner (although a couple of people had solo kayaks).
Many people support the U.S. government's meddling in Venezuelan politics, but let me tell you, Bingo is probably not one of them. He made sure we all stuck together and got back on time, but more than that, Bingo helped us understand that these swamps are not guaranteed to exist for much longer. This is an extinction-level event. While it's easy to curse the names of Rex Tillerson and Bill Gates for this, Bingo taught us that anger isn't the answer.
While Bingo's chakras stole the show, I would be remiss if I didn't mention how cool the other kayakers were. Early on, I yelled to all of the other kayakers that my only experience with the outdoors was on an Oculus Rift headset. In the corner of my eye, I caught a knowing nod from another kayaker upstream. My comments emboldened another kayaker to admit to me during the tour that he enjoyed the RPG classic "Assassin's Creed" -- Odyssey, not the Egypt one -- because of all the stuff you can pick up. If that's not a useful game recommendation, I don't know what is. Bingo, thank you for making this kayak tour so memorable.
Jennifer Garde
Best swamp tour I've taken! Our guide was fantastic! I'll be booking exclusively with this company from now on.
Matt Teaford
This was such a great kayak tour! You can really tell that the company cares about the ecology of this diverse landscape and our tour guide, Olive, was incredibly knowledgeable about both the swamp and city of New Orleans.
I highly recommend this to anyone, either experienced or inexperienced. We even saw a gator despite it being late in December!
Robyn Oliver
Sam was great, really knowledgeable about all the different wildlife as well as really friendly. Was such a fun experience and really recommend doing it.
ANA MUNOZ-RIVAS
Best experience I could have asked for! Thank you!
James Moulson
Amazing experience! I’m not normally one for doing tourist related things on my travels but thought this looked really cool - it was!
Bingo, our guide, is clearly someone who loves what he does and filled the trip with enthusiasm and expert knowledge about the history and ecology of the surrounding wetlands. If you can get him on guide duties for your trip you are guaranteed to have a memorable adventure around some fairly insane flora & fauna.
For the experience I think it was very reasonably priced, with the option to be picked up from near where you’re staying.
Sarah Bither
This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip! We had a great time with Nick, who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the swamp, kayaking, and conservation. We took the 9AM tour which was perfect as we avoided the worst heat of the day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting NOLA: get out of the city and learn more about the crazy cool ecosystem that makes Louisiana such a unique place.
Steven Hensley
Nick was a wonderful tour guide! We learned a lot of great information on Louisiana's swamps ecosystem! My wife and I strongly recommend!
Lauren Phillips Coleman
Mike was such an awesome guide! I'd highly recommend taking a Swamp Tour. We learned a ton about the natural history, species, and challenges of the area. While we had a cloudy and cool day, we didn't see much wildlife, but we got to see some cool birds! It was a great way to get to know Louisiana better. We've been on a lot of kayak tours, and can confidently say: Strongly recommend.
Samantha Hasty
Awesome, low key kayak tour through the swamp. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants around us and answered all our questions expertly. We did have to do tandem kayaking so that was a small learning curve from our normal single kayaking, but we got the hang of it and had a great time. The tour size was perfect, not too big.
E squared
We had a great time on our trip and saw several alligators either sunning or swimming around. Also saw various birds and learned about ecology of the swamp. I definitely recommend the first trip in the morning before it gets too hot and nice light for taking pictures. (I bought a waterproof phone bag from the kayak tour company)
The only thing I would recommend to improve is to mark the kayaking point a bit better for those traveling with their own vehicle. For example with a small sign on the mailbox.
Chelsey Kreil
Perfect Day For A Kayak Swamp Tour! Temperature Was About 69 Degrees, Not Too Hot Or Muggy! Bingo (Tour Guide) Was Amazing! Very Informative About The Environmental Implications Of Wetland Conservation And Of The Indigenous Populations Of The Area. Bingo Also Was Very Knowledgeable About Native/Invasive Species As Well As How They Affect The Wetlands As A Whole, In Addition To How This Impacts Louisiana. Especially When One Considers That Most Of The State Is Situated On Silt Deposits And Every Year Faces Devastating Land Loss!
Was Able To See A Variety Of Species, Ranging From Alligators, Turtles, Birds (Egrets, Red Wing Black Birds, Eagles) And Various Other Aquatic Life. Would Highly Recommend This Excursion As A MUST DO When In NOLA!
Lorri Slaugh Hansen
My 12 year old and I had a wonderful time on our tour! Our tour guide, Carter, was very knowledgeable about the swamp and pointed out so many plants and animals (including lots of alligators). We passed another tour company and it made me realize how fortunate we were to have chosen this company because our group was small enough (6 double kayaks) that I felt we could all easily hear Carter and he had time to talk with all of us and answer our questions.
Michelle Nykjær
Best swamp kayak tour in Nola. Knowledgeable and caring guides that loved to share their swamp wisdom. We saw gators, owls, beautiful birds, and more wildlife. Nick was great and really cared about the ecosystem and changes happening to the swamp. Thanks for an awesome morning!
Mark Guggenberger
Thank you to our tour guide Bingo for such a great kayak experience. He was very informative along the way and it was a great learning experience for us all. It was fun to learn about all the wildlife that we had witnessed along with informing us about the wetlands and swamp. Will definitely be back for another tour when we visit NOLA.
Becky Coats
Our guide was very knowledgable about the wildlife and history of the swamp. It was very easy to get the transport from Frenchman street and we even stopped off at a gas station for a restroom break. The excursion itself was very special and we seen alligators, an owl and lots of other swamp creatures. We did get stuck in a rainstorm but that just made it even more magical winding through bald cypress trees in the rain.
Suzanne Pettypiece
Highly recommend extended half-day tours with this group. Our experience was the highlight of our trip. The whole experience was so thoughtful: A very clean, cool bus picked us up and was playing local music, which was a nice touch. The guide stopped off for restrooms and snacks just before the tour. The tour itself was amazing. The guide clearly very much cared and was passionate about the habitat and was incredibly knowledgable. We saw about 12 alligators, snakes, eagle fledglings, a limpkin. The lunch prepared for us was incredibly thoughtful and everyone in our group was impressed that it was healthy and not some supermarket sandwich. All around just a super great time and a must-do experience while visiting New Orleans.
Julie Stein
We decided on the Shell Bank 1/2 Day Extended Bayou Adventure, hoping to explore some of the less traveled bayou byways during our New Orleans vacation. Nick was a phenomenal guide--we could tell that he really loves the area, knows it well, and authentically enjoys sharing it with others. He tailored his pace to our small group, making sure that we saw as much as we could see without getting exhausted by the paddling. He also coached us on how to spot the wildlife that was "hiding in plain sight," perched in the branches of bald cypress and tupelos, sunning on logs, or rustling in the foliage, munching on apple snails. The educational aspects of the tour were sweetened by fun (and funny) stories and a yummy picnic lunch, lessons on steering a kayak from the back AND the front, and tips on the best places to find the best food in Nola proper. Next time we visit New Orleans, we will do this trip again, no question. Thank you so much, Nick and team, for a truly memorable adventure in the beautiful bayou!

This was the highlight of my trip! I had soo much fun. The kayaking part was fun and the scenery was just gorgeous. My tour guide Bingo made sure our experience was comfortable and fun. It was interesting to hear what he shared about the history of the area. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to New Orleans.
Donna Deuter
Perfect day on the Bayou! Nick was a wonderful guide. We enjoyed every second of it…especially the alligators. Will be back soon to bring some friends!
Jordan Stimmel
I could not recommend this tour enough! It was by far the highlight of my New Orleans trip and a memory I'll have forever. It was my first time kayaking but that was no problem as our guide Nick made sure we knew the basics and kept the tour at a pace that was not too strenuous. The periodic breaks to point out things and share facts about the region, the swamp, and the local wildlife were very insightful and all-around Nick was a great guide. It is clear he is highly knowledgable and very passionate about the region and in particular these swamps. Some of the views were just breathtaking and it truly was such a wholesome and relaxing experience. We got a picturesque day and got to see more than 10 alligators, 4 brown owls, and a series of other birds as well. I loved it all and if given the time to do it again, I certainly would.
Michanne Hoctor
This is the best way to explore the swamps - serene under the Cypress trees and a free workout. Our guide, Nick, was very knowledgeable about both the flora and fauna of the bayou, all with a kind, chill presence. We saw alligators, broyozoas, Apple snails, limpkin, egrets, heron, and even roseate spoonbill, along with tons of local plants.
The audio tour of the Whitney plantation was extraordinary and we had plenty of time to explore it.
Throughout the day, Nick shared his knowledge and did an excellent job with all the driving.
Highly recommend!
Will Mullery
Bingo was an amazing tour guide, we had a wonderful time looking at the swamp ecosystem and she pointed out so many things among the trees and wildlife that pieced together the story of the New Orleans landscape. Highly recommend.
Sylvia Prehmus
Bingo was an amazing guide for a great day. From the moment he picked us up he had great facts about the bayou and history of the area. He made sure we all saw the alligators and so many bird species and was friendly and funny and so knowledgeable. Really could not have asked for a better guide or a better day. Thanks Bingo!
Wendy
We loved every minute of this guided tour with Emily, who was really friendly and knowledgeable. Felt completely safe. Beautiful, tranquil swamp and at least 15 gators and plenty other wildlife spotted at close quarters. Just 9 in our great little group. Highlight of our 10 days in NOLA, LA and Vegas. Can not recommend this tour enough.....do it. Pick up and return to NOLA was simple and efficient. Good communications from Co throughout booking. Thank you so much. Wendy & Alison from Scotland.
Diana Fisher Gomberg
We had a great time kayaking in June, even though the temperature was super high! The alligators were little and sparse but the bayou was lovely and our guide Carter was very knowledgeable.
Henrik Krehenwinkel
We had a great experience on our swamp tour. The area we visited was beautiful and very quiet. We were particularly interested in the local flora and fauna, of which our guide was very knowledgeable. We got to see various interesting wildlife, including an alligator and a bald eagle. We will definitely return for another trip, if we visit New Orleans again.
Madeleine Monroe
Carter was a fantastic guide!! We had such a fun time, learned so much about the ecosystem here and got to see lots of alligators and bird varieties. Absolutely beautiful area. Great for beginner kayakers too!
Cassandra Harris
This was one of the best parts of our trip to NOLA. Launch spot was easy to find. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. Kayaks were sturdy and clean. One of the members of our group was nervous about running into alligators, but all went smoothly thanks to the expert tour guide. We felt safe the entire time. Suitable for children about 10 and up. Bring sunblock!!!
brandy guilbeau
Very fun and entertaining. It took myself and my friend a minute to get the hang of it but it was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend if you up for something different. I’m sad I don’t remember our tour guides name. He was pretty young and he showed us a wonderful time.
Jaydeep Pattanaik
Excellent tour in the swamp. Our guide AJ was phenomenal in providing us initial training and guidelines to navigate through the swamp. We are impressed with his knowledge on environmental conservation. Saw alligators, birds and other wild life. This was the best part of our trip to New Orleans.
Siena Tulipe Fisher
Bingo was the best tour guide! We had lots of fun and it was a really cool learning experience!
Troy Ballinger
What a day! Alex our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The views were spectacular! We got stuck on many tree stumps but survived. Lol Alex even showed us around on the way back to New Orleans. Thanks so much!
Laura Jauch
Bing was an amazing tour guide who made sure my disabled body was comfortable at all points during the tour.
Highly recommend!
Teeter
Wonderful kayak trip! Saw multiple gators, turtles, owls, cranes and even a bald eagle! The guide was super knowledgeable and the shuttle out there made it really easy.
Frida Ozuna
Absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide (Carter?) was knowledgeable and great at spotting wildlife we would not have otherwise noticed. Definitely the best part of my trip to New Orleans!
Ariane Thompson
The wetlands are a BEAUTIFUL MUST-SEE if you are visiting the region as they shaped the land and the culture and are an incredible ecosystem! Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and passionnate and set the perfect pace for our group to take in the scenery and the wildlife which we saw lots of. I would recommend this outing to people of all ages as the waters are calm and you get to ride two-by-two :)
Amanda Rizzo
Beautiful tour. Bingo was a wonderful guide. I’m a local and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Amazing how close this is to NOLA!
David Fryauf
Beautiful! Bingo is a very fun, fascinating, and kind tour guide. I've got a new appreciation for the wetlands and this unique environment.
Rita Giordano
The tour itself was really lovely, and AJ was a great guide - really knowledgeable and interesting, and very patient with novice paddlers.
Kelli Gordon
Bingo was a fantastic guide who has an incredible amount of knowledge. We had an absolute blast paddling in the rain and saw at least a dozen alligators! This experience was everything I was hoping for.
ami fofana
It was so much fun and Kelly (our tour guide) did such a great job teaching us about the swamp and keeping the tour mood at an all time high! Would definitely come back and do this again
Lisa Noland-Shalosky
Visiting from Ohio. We had our own equipment (kayaks, life jackets and paddles) and they allowed us to join their tour using our own equipment at a discounted rate. The equipment they have is in great shape. Tour was awesome! Tour guide was great (Sammy and Emma). Booked tour with Jess via text to coordinate our trip...very helpful! Joined them at launch site. Transportation is provided if needed. Incredible experience being back in the cypress swamp and was given extra time to paddle around and take pictures. Given time to swin in river on way back. Overall awesome time!!! Lisa and Patrick /Ohio
Michael Frank
Great tour!! The swamp was beautiful and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable!! Would definitely use them again!
E C
Exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted to get a sense of the swamp and the wildlife, without much hassle or worrying about getting lost. The shuttle location was easy to find, and they provided clear instructions on what to bring. Carter, the guide, was informative and made it a very pleasant trip.
Morgan Clement
Great tour bingo was our guide and was incredibly knowledgeable and gave wider context to the area beyond just looking at the animals
Jariah Woodmore
Had the best time ! Bingo was a great instructor and made sure to keep his eye on everyone and made us feel safe
Chimbu Kumar
We did our booking in the last minute but was able to do it successfully. Though instructions were given yhe place quite difficult to reach, would appreciate if they write some direction boards. If you have car, dont take taxi or book travel with them, you can park your car safely there and go for Kayak.
Kayak is definitely not for beginners, it quite intense and 2.5 hours but thoroughly enjoyed it. Will was our guide and he explained everything pretty well and ensured our safety as well. If you are looking for budget swamp tours, this is best place to go. We were able to see turtle and alligator as well
nancy marsh
Our guide, Sam, was super knowledgeable, upbeat, and patient. Everything was made easy for us. We had a blast!
Allison Moore
Mike was an awesome guide! Learned a lot about the swamp and even though it was a bit rainy we still had a great time! Only thing that stunk was we really didn’t see much wild life but that isn’t something that could be controlled lol
Elisabeth Le Guin
Well-planned and well-executed, fun exercise and a nice level of information-sharing about the swamp and the many, many factors endangering it. A great way for a visitor to get closer to understanding what makes this part of the world unique.
Abigail Ismail
Awesome experience! Our guide Bingo was great and knowledgeable, and the option for pickup from the city made things simple!
Chloe Janik
Amazing tour! Our guide was Bingo, and I really admired his passion for the environment & wildlife. The kayaking itself was fun, but the information that Bingo provided about the ecosystem and Louisiana was my favorite part. I really care about the environment, and having a tour guide that shared that same respect for the habitat made it all the more worthwhile. I definitely recommend this excursion!
M. Victoria Kline
The tour was fun and informative. I was pretty worried about kayaking, I had never done it before, but it was so much fun and not difficult at all once I got used to it (and I have noooo upper body strength). The tour guide was very friendly and easy-going with his two newbie kayakers. He made it educational and answered our million questions.
On the tour we saw a juvenile alligator and many different birds, including a bald eagle and their fledging! I honestly felt this kayak tour was the best part of my trip to the New Orleans area.
Sidenote: The other people who were scheduled to go canceled last minute, and we were afraid they'd cancel the tour with only me and my friend present, but they didn't. I saw that as a plus for the company, very respectable!
Cory Cruz
Lots of fun! Tour service was great! Picked us up and was very professional. Our tour guide Kelly was very nice throughout the trip. He stopped us by a gas station for restroom breaks and so we could get any last minute things (water, snacks, etc.). The kayaking itself was great. Kelly pointed out alligators and other wildlife along the water and stopped a few times to share information about the local ecosystem. We saw plenty of alligators sunning themselves on logs throughout the tour. Kelly also took us into a more secluded area where he taught us more about the natural habitat. The ride home was just as pleasant with a quick stop to the gas station for restroom breaks and anything else we needed. Great experience, I would recommend to anyone.
Jason W
We met our guide Nick, who has a master’s degree in wildlife sustainability, at Shell Bank. He was informative about the history of the wetlands and various species of plants and animals. The half day tour was the perfect amount of time. There was zero wind which allowed for a peaceful experience. The weather allowed for encounters with alligators, turtles, snakes, and birds. We followed Nick’s instructions to not disturb the animals, and that allowed us to see them for longer periods and appreciate our surroundings. I highly recommend this tour for beginner and experienced kayakers alike. Thanks for the memories Nick!
Sarah Foster
The whole experience was wonderful. The Bayou is very serene and Nick was very friendly and super informative. If you like to experience nature, and don’t mind being in a kayak close to the elements, the half day kayak trip is awesome.
Daniel Snow
Such a fun tour, our guide bingo was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and a blast to be around.
Sarah McCutcheon
Sam was a great tour guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour very much! We were able to see alligators, turtles, an owl, and a bald eagle and it’s nest!
Connor Brown
Great kayak trip. Guide showed up on time and was very knowledgeable about the area and kept things interesting.
Catherine Valentine
Awesome tour! Very informative and fun. Environmentally friendly and got to see a few alligators!
Caroline Coyer
This was an amazing tour!! Was beautiful and relaxing and fun for our whole group! We did the 2 hour tour, if we were to do it again we would do the 1/2 day tour because we would have loved to stop for a picnic and hear more about the landscape. Went by so fast!
Rachel Huhta
We did the self-guided kayak rental and it was great! Highly recommend!
Lisa Harrigan
Our tour guide Carter was absolutely phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about all things kayak, bayou, and Louisianna wildlife. 10/10 recommend.
Angie Duran
We had a blast on our kayak tour. Carter was an exceptional guide. Super friendly and knowledge. It was a great way to spend a morning here in NOLA
Lynette La Mere
10 stars. Maggie was an informative and fun guide. I’ve done lots of kayak tours all over and this was perfect and interesting Highly recommended.
Gina Ray
What an awesome experience! Our guide, A.J. was very informative and provided us with a great experience. Saw lots of alligators, several birds native to the Bayou as well as an immature eagle in their natural habitat
Julian Williams
Such a brilliant afternoon on the swamps! Bingo was a great guide with so much incredible knowledge to bring it all to life. Plenty of gators, birds, fish to spot too!
Lori Ives-Godwin
Sunny our guide was great. Easy trip out of the city and worth a half a day. Thumbs up.
Kristen Jock
A few friends and I went on the swamp kayak tour and had a great time in this beautiful place. Our guide, Kelly, was very informative and passionate about explaining the ecology, native and invasive species, wildlife and impacts of a warming planet and human intervention on the wetlands and Louisiana as a whole. We saw a wide array of wildlife including numerous american alligators, water fowl, spiders, turtles, dragonflies and gar fish. We were adequately instructed on procedures and what to expect from the tour and all aspects went according to plan. Highly recommend for nature lovers!
Britt Corley
I had a great time on the tour of Manchac. The area is absolutely gorgeous. We were the last tour of the day and our group set off a bit after the other group, so it seemed like a lot of the wildlife had maybe been scared off by the previous group. That said, we did see some small alligators and lots of beautiful foliage.
Hands down the best part of the tour was hearing about the economic and ecological background of the area. Our guide Bingo was extremely knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about educating others about the area. He didn't gloss over the ugly parts of the area's history like a lot of other tour guides do, which was really nice to see.
Bring bug spray and sunscreen 👍🏻
Eli Hamann
Our experience in the swamp was the best! Our guide Joseph was passionate about the ecology and had all the answers to our questions. We saw tons of birds and alligators. Wildflowers and snakes. Everything was very well organized and we felt safe in our two person boat. Our pickup at 405 Frenchman went off seamlessly. Very convenient to have a ride to and from since we did not have a rental car and an Uber would have been 4X the cost. The trip itself starts in a wide part of the bayou and ends snaking through the swamps. In places there was only room for one kayak to pass at a time. Our favorite part was spotting alligators and titles along the edges of the swamp. Thank you to Joseph our guide and to Jeffery who was our go to for information about logistics. They both deserve a raise. Thank you for a memorable trip!
Alex Jessen
The tour was awesome! Our group saw two alligators and our guide Olive was amazing. She was super knowledgeable about the areas were paddling through. If we had a question about the creatures or the plants she really knew her stuff. This is a definitely a must do if you're in the area!
Anna Marziliano
A lovely trip with lots of information. Definitely a workout! AJ was professional and courteous, an incredible memory!
Noelle Butler
Manchec swamp was beautiful and so peaceful, and Bingo was the best tour guide! So knowledgeable, thoughtful and funny. We also very much appreciated the emphasis on the important of the wetlands and preserving them! Such a great tour.
Jackie Folsom
We had an excellent time! Our guide Josh was incredibly knowledgeable about local plants, wildlife, and infrastructure. The pace was great, not too slow that it dragged and not too fast that my out-of-shape self was struggling. I also booked this particular tour company because it is respectful of the wildlife and does not create a spectacle of feeding marshmallows to the alligators (that’s a thing). A must-do tour for those interested in the beautiful and unique Louisiana wetlands!
Victor Ortiz
A group of 12 of us went to NOLA for a triple birthday celebration and besides boozing it up we decided we also wanted to check out the the area’s natural sights & this kayak tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Bingo, did an amazing job explaining the flora as well as the fauna and the history of the habitat! I left with a deep understanding and fascination with the Manchac Swamp! Thanks Bingo!
Joe Pnewski
We had a blast out in the Bald Cyprus swamp! Our guide Nick was awesome and had tons of great information. Saw plenty of wildlife, lots of cool birds, an alligator, and even a nutria!
roy roy
The tour was a blast, our tour guide Bing was so funny and very informative. Highly recommend!!
Danny Johnston
This tour was so amazing the scenery was breathtaking. There was tons of wildlife and alot of gator, and our guide bingo was so nice and gave an educational look at the swamp lands. If you do go I would definitely recomend having him as your guide.
n m
Our guide, AJ, was fantastic and so knowledgeable. We got caught in a storm and he handled it so well, we still all had a great time and got to see a lot of wildlife! Would definitely recommend this company.
Audrey Fox
With gentle waters and abundant wildlife, the NOLA kayak tour was a great way to get a sense of the local ecology. Our experience was made all the richer by our deeply knowledgeable guide, Bingo.
Dakota Boughman
We had an awesome time. Bingo was our guide and was very helpful and informative. We learned alot while having fun. I would recommend NOLA kayak tours and Bingo to anyone

Abbey (the Operations Manager) is just fantastic!
Normally I don’t review a place without actually going there first, but this is an exception. I misbooked a tour somehow and tried to call after hours. I called and got a message saying it was outside normal business hours, but nonetheless got a call back very shortly from Abbey (again, after hours), and she was kind enough to help me out and walk me through booking another date and even put me on a waitlist for my preferred date.
Abbey gave me a customer service experience that exceeded every expectation I had, and it was clear to me that she took time out of her day, when she could have simply waited until the next day to call me back. She never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, or like I was a burden, she helped me out and spoke to me like an old friend, while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. I will forever associate the kindness and hospitality that Abbey showed with the swamp tour I’m looking forward to so much!
I’ve never been on a swamp tour, but my fiancée and I are looking forward to it.
I’m looking forward to a great swamp tour!
Don Harrison
This was a good kayak tour. We were looking for a short tour, that would let us see LA swamps, birds and animals. We were not disappointed. We saw many different birds and several alligators which was our number 1 goal. Nick was very informative on the trees and plant life. We recommend this tour if you have limited time.👍 …
Jonathan Schiavone
It rained, it shined, we petted the gators (just kidding)! It was an over all blast. Although some may not agree with me, it poured in the middle for a bit and that was my favorite part. It really cooled us off! Fun experience!
Mary Jackson
Our tour guide was Nick and he was FANTASTIC! I’m a tour guide in the French Quarter and I’ve been on tours in multiple countries so I have experienced lots of tours and tour guides. It’s easy to see that Nick is someone who truly loves his job and knows his stuff! He was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the tour covered topics such as plant and animal life, Louisiana’s history and greatest environmental threats, myths and legends of the bayou, helpful kayaking maneuvers, and then some. It’s a unique and fun way to experience Louisiana. Definitely recommend🥳
Nora Harris
We absolutely loved our experience kayaking the Manchac Swamp with Nick! This company provides transportation from the city out to the launch spot for a reasonable fee and you spend about 2 hours on the water. Nick was such a knowledgeable and personable guide and made the experience feel very unique. We saw many gators, turtles, limpkins, 2 barred owls, a bald eagle, and a great blue heron - not to mention all of the beautiful cypress and tupelo trees and other plant life. We would definitely kayak with this company again next time we are in the NOLA area.
Claudia Corona
I came to New Orleans for a conference and my friend and I decided to do this tour. The tour with Nick was AWESOME. He was very knowledgeable about the local environmental, marine bio, and land history of New Orleans. He was highly qualified to lead the tour and he pointed out nearly a dozen alligators, several turtles, a bald eagles nest, two bard(?) owls and a river snake! It was quite a fun experience. I would do it again!! Definitely recommend, A+++
Sabrina Bayona
Went on the Manchac Mystic Wildlife Kayak Tour with Mike as our tour guide. It was an excellent experience! Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. Responded to all of our questions. Pointed out local wildlife.
Spot was easy to find if you decide to drive to the launch site yourself
M G
Great experience, learned about the native species as well as the invasives that are posing threats to the environment. Two hours went by so quickly, I wish I could've stayed out there all day. Definitely a worthwhile addition to our trip.

Honestly, if you're looking into this just DO IT. Kayaking through the swamp is an experience you can't capture anywhere else. Although the kayak route takes about 2 hours, you won't get tired because it really is a leisurely tour. Don't focus on your paddling and just take a moment to soak in the delicate natural beauty and sounds around you. It's one of those "see it to believe it" experiences. Our tour guide was Maggie and she was just awesomeness in a nutshell. Great vibes, super knowledgeable, and you can tell she's passionate about the environment. There's lots to love in NOLA and this will definitely be on your list to remember.
Alessa Kim
Our guide was so amazing and the paddle was so fun and easygoing. We got lots of background on the wildlife and the vegetation which was great!! Unlike anything I’d seen before — so happy we chose to book this tour!!!
Brittany Batz
Do not wait to book one of these tours! Our original tour had to be cancelled because of weather but the team was super helpful and responsive in helping us to rebook our tour. Our guide, Kelley, was super knowledgeable and helped us to understand not only the beauty of the bayou but also the ecological impacts of various invasive species. We did the 4:30pm tour and even on a hot day in July the weather was PERFECT! I cannot recommend this tour enough (especially if you are a beginner!).
Gabrielle Aviles
Favorite tour of our whole trip! Well worth the money for the time you're out there on the water and the experience. Olive was our guide and she was great! Super helpful with out being overbearing and definitely lets you do your own thing. We had SO much fun! She even told us where to get some of the best food we've had all year. Will be coming back in a few months and look forward to doing this tour again!
Nick G
Wonderful experience getting up close and personal with the swamp. We were well-briefed and expertly guided - without ever feeling like we were “stage managed”. It’s an authentic, easy-going tour - and there’s no better way to get out the city for a day and enjoy something unique. Kayaking wasn’t too strenuous and the provided gear was more than enough for this trip. Plus with no motors, we weren’t scaring off the wildlife - and could enjoy the orchestra of sounds emanating from deep within the forest. My six year old son saw an alligator (or five) in the wild, and was perfectly happy even after two hours on the water. Hats off to Kelly and the team for making all this happen - with such care for our group, and passion for the environment.
Lauren Stock
We had such an amazing time on this tour! Our guide Will made sure that the kayak catered to all levels (we had brand new beginners as well as very experienced kayakers in our group).
It was really interesting to hear about the biodiversity and ecology of the area as well as the challenges past and present that have affected the swamp. A really unique experience.
Alexa Chiaro
We had Kelley as our tour guide today. He was super knowledgeable about the area and passionate about what he is doing. We saw 2 gators and a lots of turtles on our tour. The water was calm and scenery was beautiful. We couldn’t have had a more memorable experience. Worth the money!!
Lydia Medina
Our tour guide was named Bingo. Bingo was very helpful and very knowledgeable! He talked about the ecosystem, fish species, land history, alligators, indigenous history of the landing people, invasive species and a lot more! He was able to answer any questions and is also knowledgeable about New Orleans history. He was a great guide and also helpful to first time kayakers! He was accommodating and all around a joy to be around! Definitely recommend this tour😊
Jacob Maxey
Had a great guide (Olive) who made our tour really interesting. Gave us a brief overview of some kayaking tips (my girlfriend and I had never kayaked, but we feel pretty confident in it now), and some interesting information about the local ecosystem along the way. Loved kayaking for the first time and will try to book another one of the tours of a different spot at some point in the future.
Chelsey Wagaman
Kelly was a fantastic tour guide! Provided a surplus of information on the specific bayou we toured and gave tips for how to use the kayaks most effectively and safely. He was informative, professional, and fun! Would definitely do it again!
Ashley Brown
Our tour was nice. We had a good group of people but all agreed that our guide, Nic was a bit abrasive and unfriendly. We tried to engage with him on the way to our destination but received one word answers. Overall, it was an average tour that could have been made much better with a friendlier and more enthusiastic guide.
Will Beeler
We had a great time out on the water. We saw lots of wildlife and gators and our tour guide Bingo was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting history about the area.
Charlotte Kroløkke
My son and I loved the tour! Kelley was incredibly fun and hugely knowledgeable about the area and kayaking. We were only four people out and this kayaking trip was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to New Orleans. We saw a wide-range of wildlife (including several small alligators) and really experienced the swamp area of NOLA. We highly recommend the tour as well as Kelley as a tour guide.
Grace Windeyer
Really great experience. Our guide Josh was very knowledgeable about the wetlands and was great at pointing all kinds of wildlife (alligators included of course), as well as filling us in on the geography and history of the region. 2 hours flies by, would highly recommend.
Colleen Schmittgens
Despite some rain to start off, everyone had a fabulous time. The guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the wildlife.
Meagan RiddikulusMN
It was our first time kayaking and the Kayak Swamp Tour was out this world amazing! The guide was very informative about the wildlife as well as the history of the formation of the wetlands. I especially liked this tour because I felt like we were observing and not invading the wetlands. HIGHLY recommend!!!
Laoighse Styles
Kayla was a great tour guide. Very enjoyable experience
Tiana Thorum
This kayaking tour is one of the most memorable parts of my visit to New Orleans! The scenery was spectacular and not like any other place I have been! Our guide, Mike was awesome as well! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and didn't rush us. I would reccomend this tour if you're in the area!
Dorothy Hanrahan
I participated in this kayak swamp tour with Mike, who proved to be a wonderful guide! Mike is relaxed, easy going, and very knowledgeable. He punctuated our kayaking with several stops along the way to give us a rich overview of the area's water and ecology systems, incorporating issues of history, race, river engineering, local wildlife populations, and much more. We had a fun, peaceful, and insightful morning. I would definitely recommend this tour and Mike as a guide!
Magdalena Justyniarska
The tour guide Ryan was super great!
Mariah Mardis
We spent our last morning in New Orleans doing this tour and it was amazing! Nick was so enthusiastic about the wild life and very knowledgeable. We had an amazing time paddling through the swamp! I would highly recommend doing this tour. If you get nick as your guide it will be a real treat! Thanks for an amazing last day in New Orleans.
Kaela Stuart Christensen
We had a great time on our kayak tour of Manchac swamp. Colin was an excellent guide, sharing his extensive knowledge and love of the area. Even with a little rain, the landscape and plant/wildlife found in the swamp was quite special to experience. I would definitely do this again on another visit to NOLA!
Madeline McClelland
Amazing, beautiful! Bingo was a great guide, so kind, welcoming and full of knowledge. Definitely our favorite thing we did on our trip!
Shirmila Cooray
We had a great experience with our guide Mike! He gave us a fascinating tour that wove together history, ecology, economics, and more-- including some great book recommendations at the end. We were a group of 11 women celebrating a bachelorette and appreciated this relaxed and beautiful tour to start our day. Would highly recommend.
Jessica Holzman
Beautiful kayak. Saw many birds and tons of alligators. Highly recommend.
Christopher Thoms
What a great little tour and kayak ride! Our guide, Bingo, was amazing!! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and hospitable!! Apart from giving a stellar tour, Bingo also gave us some great food recommendations!! So happy to have done this tour!!
epete (epetet)
We had a great time with Nick who shared his knowledge and love of the backwaters of Louisiana with us. It was Nick's first tour after hurricane Ida and he provided many references to the difference in the waterways, the vegetation, and the animal activity that had changed.
Nick checked often with us and the other couple on the tour to ensure that the pace was good and the information was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing Nick's appreciation of the Southern Louisiana ecosystem.
Meagan Cortez
Kelley was a fantastic tour guide. Super spirited and educational. I had a blast out on the water. It is beautiful to be out there in the nature and seeing animals in a natural setting. I highly recommend to people all of the time that NOLA kayak tours is what you have to do if your in NOLA. Great service and friendly people. Thanks again!
K Wheeler
Really awesome little day trip out of the city. Not far from New Orleans. Relaxing and interesting 2 hours in the swamps. Our guide, Kelly, was so informative and easy to be around. This was such a cool way to adventure through the swamp at your own pace and see some wildlife. I would definitely do it again.
Kara Hughes
Highly recommend this tour of the Manchac swamp. The guide Bingo was just lovely, kind and accommodating. The information Bingo shared about the surrounding ecosystem was fascinating, and the whole kayak tour was really peaceful and beautiful. Loved this experience!
Jake Reed
Our tour guide Josh was amazing! Very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question. Made sure everyone in the group was included and had a great time. We loved seeing the bayou! Would definitely recommend this company! The actual kayaking was so fun! Not too fast, not too slow.
Yandong Li
Mike is our guide, he is very nice and provides great help when our kayaks got stuck in the swamp, also very knowledgeable about the aquatic plantation and the history of Lousiana.
Billy Maxwell
Will was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and really seemed to care about educating others on the effects of climate change in the area. The tour itself was equally great! Once you get away from the highway, it's beautiful and quiet. Highly recommend it and will definitely do it again when we're back!
Ling Curtis
Great tour! We got picked up from Frenchmen street and the drive was about 45mins. The kayaking paired or singular was very relaxing - not difficult. Will, our tour guide was very informative about the nature, wildlife and environmental impact that is happening right now. The scenery was beautiful. Only feedback I have was some people joining our group were almost 30mins late which delayed our tour (and subsequent tours). Would suggest a cut off time!
Patrick Obando
We did a tour today with Kelly and had the most amazing time! He was super informed about the swamp's ecosystem and was amazing to talk to! The swamp itself was beautiful with various vegetation and birds making their homes on the trees. Thank you all for such an amazing experience!
O3 Necro
Overall the tour exceeded my expectations greatly. I thought it was going to be a side show deal but our tour guide Mike was awesome. Being a biologist myself, I was highly impressed with Mike's knowledge of ecosystems, aquatic plants and animals, and swamp processes. He made the trip highly interesting for the science guys IMO. To add, he wasn't a cliche tour guide. He was easy to hang out with and talk to the entire tour. The only negative I'd say is I get the feeling they don't give these guides a decent pay for what they do. The knowledge and safety awareness was evident in seeing other tour groups passing by in addition to driving that much for several hours and keeping a smile on their face. Kinda became apparent when I saw our tour guide paying for his meal outta his pocket, should be company covered. Just the little things I notice during my tour and thought I'd pass that along to the company if they read this. But, highly recommend them and made my stay in New Orleans amazing!
Brian Beer
We decided to do the honey island kayak swamp tour on a whim and we’re sure glad we did. It was an exciting and relaxing adventure made better by our guide Sammy. He was great and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to be the only ones on the water with him this particular day so it made for a more intimate experience. In an ever changing fast paced world, it was great to unplug and hit pause for a couple hours and enjoy a guided tour. Would definitely recommend this
Rachel Kim
My girlfriend and I booked a kayak tour with these guys. Definitely recommend, Ray was a great tour guide. Laid back, easy going, knowledgeable and funny. We saw a variety of wildlife: snakes, turtles, frogs, owls, and 3 alligators! The swamp was quite beautiful, a great afternoon activity.
Jon Singer
AJ our guide made it a great experience. Highly recommended!
Alyssa Shaw
We had an amazing time on our tour today. It was very easy so first timers could easily do it. We opted for the transportation and it was so easy to get to from the French Market. Ross was our tour guide, he really cares about his home state of Louisiana and the local ecology. We are very thankful we booked this because it was such a wonderful adventure and a great way to spend our last day in New Orleans.
Kyle Saathoff
This was a fantastic way for my friends and I to spend our morning. Our tour guide Nick was very knowledgeable about the wildlife as well as the ecological challenges that wetlands face. The pace was doable for everyone in our tour.
Augusta Johnson
The kayak tour was so much fun! So beautiful and the guide was amazing. Kelley was super knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, history, and ecology of the wetlands. He was great. I would highly recommend it!
Lanie Sundell
Definitely book a tour if you want an up close and informative look at the swamp! Nick was our guide and he was super nice and helpful. It was a 4 mile tour but very manageable for new kayakers!
Jerrel and Shelby Ngo
My husband and I went on a Kayak Swamp tour with Nick over July 4th weekend. The scenery was beautiful and Nick was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and everything to be seen out on the swamp. This was a great tour and I would recommend this company. My only complaint is that it was hard to find the meeting place, but they do attempt to give directions by email.
Becky Rempel
Wonderful experience! We really wanted to see and experience Louisiana and not just the city and kayaking in the swamp is a great way to do it!! I loved seeing and learning about the cypress trees and maneuvering my kayak around the cypress knees and along the rivers - way more fun than in a lake where the scenery is same old same old. We got to see some interesting native wildlife like snakes but I would have liked to see an alligator. I would definitely do the tour again but I would go on a sunny day next time so that I would be more likely to see some gators. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining! #swampselfie
Isaiah Tate
Had a great time kayaking the swamp. Saw many gators and birds. The heat was ridiculous, but the views were all worth it.
Martha Maddox
Kelly was a great guide! He went into detail about the flora and fauna in the area we were in- stopping to point out and explain what was around us- but also let us just enjoy the kayaking. The kayaks were “sit-on-top” and very stable.
Ella Norris
I loved these guys! Our guide was fun and knowledgeable about the wetlands we kayaked through. It was great to learn about them and how they tie into the story of New Orleans, and a well needed breather away from the city. Such a beautiful place to see. I highly recommend it!
April Schaefer-Ayers
Cannot recommend this tour enough! Felt great to get out of the city and the area was just beautiful! Our tour guide, Mike, gave us an excellent historical overview of the area and highlighted the connection between the land, race and class. He was both well-spoken and easy-going. A wonderful way to spend the morning!
Drew Johnson
We had AJ as our tour guide and his expertise of the swamp was incredible! This was one of the best experiences I’ve had on a vacation. I went with my girlfriend and it was peaceful and enjoyable. We saw over 20 alligators!
Alyssa Knorr
My husband and I did the Manchac tour, and it was great! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and environment and was friendly. Scenary was beautiful, and it was a nice wilderness break after a few days in the city.
We did have some hub-bubs with our tour (not on the water ), but management was aware of the issue and was quick to respond to make things right.
Mark Landros
Recently kayaked the gorgeous swamps just outside of New Orleans. Amanda was our guide. She's very knowledgeable about the birds and the trees in the swamp. Not only was it fun, but she put us at ease, and you could tell that the safety and comfort of her guests was important to her. She also gave us great contacts for other tours - all of which were excellent. Highly recommend New Orleans Kayak Swamp tours. What a delight!
Natty budka
The tour was awesome!!! Will was our tour guide and he had great information, stories and was just simply a nice guy. The swamp was peaceful and beautiful. Saw a few small alligators, but they were just baiting in the sun and hangin out. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans!
Dave Letourneau
Nick was great! We were picked up in the French Quarter. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. I could tell he really enjoyed the outdoors. It rained on us but we still had a blast! We will be doing it again in October!
Alexander Baca
We had a great time! Nick was an amazing guide and stopped to show us all the wildlife. Super beautiful and would highly recommend even of your are new to kayaking!
David Iman II
Excellent experience. Guide Kelly was great both knowledgeable and informative about the environment and the challenges it faces. The tour was laid-back and easy. Was really nice being in a kayak and thus really close to the water and plants.
W Bender
MUST DO!
This was an incredible experience. The swamp was absolutely beautiful, the photos do it no justice. Our tour guide was fantastic, he was very knowledable and also allowed for all of us to explore on our own. It was by far our best experience in New Orleans. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting.
Roland O'Daniel
We had a great time. The tour was easy to book and pay for and they answered their phone when we called for directions. We chose the Honey Island Tour and we're not disappointed. We started a little early and went a little long because our guide Sammy took us through the tiny channel to see the Cypress trees. Well worth the effort. We didn't see a lot of wildlife but did see some squirrels, lots of birds and a couple of garr (scared the hell out of me when I startled him).
Sammy was GREAT and I would gladly do another tour with him.
M. Safiya “Bee”
Beautiful and easy trek. Bingo had lots of fun information to share.
Bring a hat!
Gaby Triana
I wanted to do something in NOLA that wasn’t a museum, since I have three teen boys who can get bored pretty easily and have energy to expend. So we took them kayaking. Worth it. We’ve been home a few days and they’re still talking about it! Great area, great tour guides though being from FL, I would’ve liked to hear more about the swamp. Still, serene spot and memorable experience.
Barbara B. Hooks
I travel a lot and this is one of the best organized trips I've ever been on, and our favorite part of our trip to New Orleans. Alexander and Wheelz were first class bayou guides. They seemed to enjoy answering our many questions about the landscape and the infrastructure post-Katrina. I was also impressed by their ethics for stewardship. We learned a great deal about the wildlife and flora. Book your trip with these guys if you want to learn and have a trip that treads lightly leaving the place better than how you found it.
Jacqueline Soukup
Such an awesome tour! Easy, sit on top kayak's through the swamp. My boyfriend paddled us around and I got a ton of great pictures. The guides were the best! HIGHLY recommended for locals and tourists. I will definitely be doing this tour again
Chandler Allen
Kelley was an amazing guide with spectacular people skills!!! In all seriousness it was an amazing trip and really gave you an intimate experience with nature. Kelley also had lots of good info and a great passion for the area and environment. Had a great time and exceeded my expectations!
Caetê Nicholson
Our guide Bingo was an exceptional host and tour guide and made for a fun, convenient and engaging kayaking trip.
Brittany Greene
This was an amazing experience! Our guide Kelly couldn't have been more knowledgeable! He made the trip and we highly recommend him! It was a great time and a beautiful bayou!
Fallon Howley
Sammy was our tour guide. He was absolutely wonderful!!! Honestly, he really did a great job. Not only did he let us do our own thing, but he also informed us about the swamps.(conversation was perfectly balanced.) He was super chill and you could tell he was a local. Everyone in my party agreed that he made the tour super cool. If you are going to be in New Orleans, and you want to try something NOT touristy, bring friends and do this. It’s worth every penny.
Stephanie Hsu
Olive was an awesome guide! This was a super cool city getaway part of our trip to NOLA. We loved that it was very much self-paced, and both parts information and exploration. As a plus, we even spotted a baby alligator! Felt super safe the entire way, and would totally do this again.
Noelle Martins
The Manchac Mystic Wildlife Kayak Tour was incredible. The bayou was beautiful and filled with wildlife. Our tour guide taught us so much about the environment and the history of the bayou. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Louisiana!
jenessa bingham
We went on the Manchac bayou tour with an amazing guide, Josh. Not only did he provide us with some history about the city as we drove to the bayou, he taught us about how the bayou ecosystem has changed over the years. It was the perfect combination of serene natural beauty, bayou wildlife (with critters of all kinds) and our role within the ecosystem. An added bonus was the multiple (small) gators we were able to see.
Teya Kvasnicka
Had an amazing time on this trip. We toured the manchac swamp and did a 9am tour. Jesse was our guide and we were very happy with the whole experience. It was informative, beautiful, quiet, and overall very safe and enjoyable. Beginners would do well and it's fun for advanced kayakers too. I recommend going in the morning because even on the 9am tour it was hot on the way back. Mid-day is probably pretty brutal heat and humidity wise. If I ever come back to NOLA I'd do this tour again.
Louella Carr
Highlight of my time in NOLA! Peter, our tour guide, was obviously very passionate about the environment and very knowledgable about the swamp. If you want to experience the swamp and the wildlife (we saw some gators, several birds, and a snake!) without leaving a trace or disrupting the natural environment, this is the tour for you. The quiet of the kayaks is really the best way to experience the swamp, and not a big, disruptive motor boat.
Peter also had the BEST recommendations for things to do in NOLA. Every bar or restaurant I went that he recommended turned out to be incredible - so pleased I did this tour :)
Chris L
Great trip. It was remote and peaceful and, of course, we saw some beautiful alligators. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. An ideal trip.
Janet Pieren
Nick is a knowledgeable and pleasant tour guide. We saw several juvenile alligators, turtles, several birds and a variety of flora and fauna during our paddle! Don’t forget to tip your guides!
Diane Greenhill
My son and I had a great time today and Sam was a wonderful guide :)
Henry
Thank you NOLA swamp Kayak Tour for a breathtaking beautiful and informative journey into the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife.
I really appreciate our excellent tour guide Kelley being informative about the wild life, ecosystem, and wonderful person to talk to. We had a great time kayaking and learning about the wild life and the swamp. The swamp is not only beautiful but also fascinating. We saw many different species of birds and learned about their ecosystem from Kelley. I would love to do this kayaking tour again.
Nathan Marshall
Sam was an amazing tour guide. He made our experience remarkable and phenomenal. Their customer service was excellent. I went to the wrong location and it was my mistake. I called them and they refunded my money right away. I re-booked the tour next day. You can't go wrong with Kayak Swamp Tours. Thanks Sam.
Brendon B
Our favourite thing we did in New Orleans. Great tour guide, genuinely cares about the environment and the wildlife. Really informative. This was the only tour we could find that didn't feed the animals, it seems a lot of the other tours treat the swamp like a petting zoo.
Alan Owen
Fantastic kayaking. The tour guide, Bingo, was very knowledgeable about the area and wetlands in general, and they were very helpful when the kayakers were getting stuck 😁 …
Debi Hammel
We did the pedal boat ride as a family. Our guides were informative. I could see this ride being fun for parties. We learned alot about the bayou and new orleans. Kids enjoyed trying to pedal the boat. As adults we appreciated the motor. They were also flexible with us on our time as we were not sure when we would reach New Orleans. Thanks for.a fun afternoon.
Natalie Marshall
Had an amazing time on our kayak tour!
Our guide BINGO was fabulous. So smart and kind. We went in early November, perfect weather.
cameron fontenot
I've lived in Louisiana all my life but never went on a swamp tour until today. Very satisfied with the guides knowledge of the swamp, history and environmental impacts, as well as help with dinner recommendations! 100% would recommend that you try this tour!
Daphne Acoca
We had a wonderful morning out in the swamps with our guide Kelly. He knew so much about the environment and the wildlife! We really enjoyed exploring the surroundings of New Orleans this way and recommend this tour!
Kumar Persaud
Skip the airboat tours and pontoon boat tours. Those are targeted for the tourist only with gators trained to come out daily. This kayak tour was raw, unfiltered and 100% a natural experience. The tour guide Ross was awesome. We ventured into the Bayou swamps and saw a few gators in their natural habitats. No feeding to lure them out! We did a double kayak with myself and my woman, had a blast! Saw some eagles and owls in their nests, saw some frogs and snakes. After extensive research, I would say this was the best activity we've done so far! Plus Ross or Russ made the experience 10x better with the background information on the endangered species act and facts about NOLA.
James DeRoussel
In spite of being experienced paddlers and outdoorsmen, my friends and I just wanted a casual paddle in the swamp without having to worry about logistics, boat rentals, etc. The Manchac tour was exactly as described and well organized. Our tour guide, Olive, was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job managing the 11 people in the tour group with varying levels of experience.
David Bencomo
We had such an amazing time out on the bayou with Kelley! We were lucky enough to see 4 gators and a few turtles while we were or there. I’d definitely recommend this tour to someone who wants to have an intimate experience with the swamp and it’s wildlife.
Charles Capozza
Had a blast on the tour. Our guide Josh was very knowledgeable and showed us some awesome wildlife. Definitely reccomend this tour if you're into kayaking.
Tamera Hausman
Brooke did a great job with safety, making everyone comfortable, and talking about the ecosystem and challenges we face. Good information about the natural area, as well as knowledgeable about tourism in New Orleans. Thanks!
Kira Wizner
We had a great day kayaking in the Bayou and at the Whitney Plantation. Josh is a super knowledgeable guide and was able to talk about ecology and history in an engaging way for adults and teens (not as easy!). Lunch was at an authentic and affordable restaurant and the day was paced well. Thank you!
Elizabeth Rousseve
We had a wonderful time, with guide Jessica, kayaking the river and bayou. She was full of tons of local knowledge. She spotted animals that I would have paddled right by and not noticed. I'd recommend kayaking this area and definitely making it more special by being guided by Jessica.
Isaac Lloyd
Great experience, even for the gloomy weather. Josh was a really chill guide-- struck a good balance between fun stories, ecological information, and environmental and social awareness. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area!
Manthan Gandhi
8 of us were there for a bachelor party in May, and this outing was awesome! It was a nice way to get everyone up and out of the house (we went for a morning tour to beat the afternoon heat), instead of moping around from the previous night's activities. It was quiet, beautiful, and besides two other couples, we were the only ones on the swamp. The dragonflies took care of most of the bugs, and we got to paddle up and back at our own pace. It was just the right amount of time. Highly recommend this over a noisy fan boat tour where you can't even talk over the noise!
Mark Bitton
My son and I had a nice time on this Kayak tour. The swamp was cool and the guide (Jeff) was knowledgeable and friendly, so no complaints about him. The only reason I rated this 4 stars was that we were hoping to see a few more gators. All we saw were little ones from about 4-6ft long. If you're looking for a "thrill", then this probably isn't the tour for you. However, if you're looking for a relaxing kayak tour that's a little more intimate with the swamp than the airboats, then this is likely a tour you'll really enjoy. We still had a nice time, we were just hoping for a little more thrill out of it. :)
Jarae MARIENAU
Bingo was amazing!! No gators, but it was so fun.
Stephanie Leff
Fabulous paddle deep into the swamp. Knowledgeable guide. Beautiful scenery.
Barbara Kirkland
This was my favorite thing that I did while in Louisiana this spring. You might not think that kayaking in a swamp would be described as “breathtaking”, but those were my sentiments. Just looking at some of the photos that other travelers have posted was enough to convince me,but actually being there—wow.
My husband and I shared a kayak and it was a lot of fun; we've never kayaked together and really enjoyed doing it together. It was just the right amount of activity for us, but not so much that we couldn't enjoy it due to exhaustion. This is a great activity to do with family or your significant other. You don't have to be the most active or outdoorsy person on the planet to enjoy this. I typically enjoy historical and city activities a little more, but this was really different without being totally outside of my comfort zone (not that there is anything wrong with that!)
The people that run the Kayak Swamp tours are very professional and really fun. They showed us lots of incredible things and made the trip more interesting and entertaining. They made sure that everyone was doing well throughout and we very patient with some of the people who were first-timers.
While on this kayaking tour, I felt like I was in another world. The trees growing from the swamp and all of the vegetation and wild life were stunning. I've never seen anywhere else like it. It was so serene and completely unforgettable.

I recently visited New Orleans and wanted to get out and see some of the local flora and fauna in person. New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tour provided that and much more. Jeff was very knowledgeable and took me on an amazing tour. Not only did I get to see a lot of wildlife, but the scenery was beautiful. I would highly recommend them.
Faith Warren
Knowledgeable and friendly guide, easy tour and a great experience! In addition to the wonderful tour, they provided fantastic customer service which was very appreciated. We had last minute car trouble that prevented us from getting to the launch site. I emailed and they quickly responded and cheerfully offered us a reschedule for the next business day.
Alondra Belmonte
Bingo was very sweet and very patient with us as it was our first time. We eventually got the hang of it and it was a beautiful experience. Bingo was also very knowledgeable about the grounds and nature. Highly recommend
Jesus Lovera
We had a wonderful time. Our guide Jess was extremely knowledgeable about the vegetation and fauna. The old growth cypress grove we went to was truly beautiful. We definitely recommend this tour. We will be back later this year.
Michael Fischer
Just returned from my second experience with New Orleans Swamp Kayak Tours. Again, I was impressed by their professionalism and courtesy. Customer service is NOT dead. My kids aged 8 and 9 had their own kayaks and loved their independence as they paddled among the cypress groves. Absolutely gorgeous!
Parker Owens
Bingo was the best guide and was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. Absolutely enjoyed this trip and learned a lot about the ecosystem.
Steve Terwilliger
I rarely write reviews, but I have to share my experience with these guys. I have used other Tour Agencies in the past and decided to give these guys a try. Needless to say, I was not disappointed with my decision! They are a ton of fun, knowledgeable, and have awesome equipment. The next time we are in New Orleans, they are the only guides we will use from now on!
Thanks a bunch for the great memories!
Adam Komorowski
Fantastic experience, from start to finish, during our Maurepas swamp kayaking tour. Sam was an awesome guide - and extremely knowledgeable! - and made the entire experience a lot of fun. Great value for a high-quality service.
Cristina Silva
Me and my boyfriend tried New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours during our last trip to New Orleans and we really enjoyed it! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and we will both remember it for a long time. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and a bit different experience. A+

Wifey booked this extraordinary adventure to help celebrate our 11th anniversary ❤️x11 ;)
First off Kelly was beyond our expectations. Not over exaggerating at all. I love nature combined with more wild type outdoor adventures and he had way more passion than me.
He showed up to the pickup location on time. We got a quick brief on what to expect on the swamp during this season. Throughout the kayak tour he will pause to speak about the region and to give you a break out of the sun. He loves this place so you can feel his energy through everything he says.
On the way back you are free to go at your own pace. It very simple to get back too so don’t be worried.
Bring a hat, sunblock, bug repellent, a water proof bag (for your small stuff) and some liquids to keep hydrated. There is plenty of space for your stuff or to take off your shoes.
*Left my hat in the van after he pulled off. Called the company 5 minutes later and he returned to bring it right back. Thanks bro for the amazing time ✌🏾
Zachary Belway
Tacco took us out on a great kayak trip through the swamps. He was an excellent, knowledgable guide who was friendly and easy to talk to. He catered the tour towards the people on the tour, and we had a we had an all around wonderful time!
Sydney Norman
Our Guide, Olive, was absolutely amazing and we couldn't believe how knowledgable about the swamp she was. We had a wonderful time paddling through the swamp and got to see the cutest baby alligators and baby owl. I would recommend this to anyone going to New Orleans.
Erin Krause
We LOVED this experience. AJ was knowledgeable and friendly. We kayaked through cypress groves and saw alligators and a water moccasin, but never felt uncomfortable. If I were to have a complaint, it would be that 2.5 hours was not long enough. It was among my favorite experiences in New Orleans. :)
Dawn Kirt Bowen
We had seen the standard noisy airboats tours and being ecologically minded we wanted nothing to do with them. Mike and kayaking was the way to go. We were fortunate enough to see wildlife that went undisturbed. He is very knowledgable and patient. The swamp was peaceful and the wildlife was respected. This is not a zoo and wildlife is not fed. Absolutely wonderful experience.
Brahm V.
This was a really great tour of a place I had no idea existed or was so essential to the development of New Orleans! It's a generally easy kayak experience, and two of our group had never kayaked before, so it's definitely open to all skill levels. You're on a contained bayou so you don't have to battle with open waves or too strong of currents. I went with stitches in both hands and was fine. It is a bit of a workout and you'll feel good afterwards, but feel confident going in practically any condition or age!
You launch from the grassy banks and slide easily into a historic waterway. The tour is about two hours, but we stop and Jesse tells fascinating stories along the way, so you're not paddling the whole time. At various points, Jesse talks about the early history of the bayou and why it's so important (don't worry, no spoilers here!), points out ecological factors that contribute to the evolution of the delta, and highlights notable buildings and landmarks. I learned so much!
The kayaks can be made tandem, or solo. Definitely bring sunscreen/hat/sunglasses if it's a sunny day, and put any electronics in a dry bag (Jesse has one) or leave them on dry land. High odds are you'll be fine and dry the whole time, but you know... I err on the side of caution when dealing with water and expensive electronics :)
Jesse also apparently leads other walking tours of town, so his knowledge is vast and comprehensive. A great guide!
L Haines
We were in New Orleans for a work conference & this was the one recreational activity we could fit in - totally our worth it! Our guide Olive was fantastic - very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the NOLA area.
Nathan Abercrombie
We had a great time on the bayou with our guide Kelly. Kelly was knowledgable, friendly, and relaxed. We got to see many different animals, from great blue herons to American alligators. Also some great music for the ride to and from the bayou.
Lone Star Kayak Tours
From one kayak tour company to another. Y'all do a phenomenal job with your tours! We had such an amazing time and your guides are top notch. Feel free to look us up when you're in Austin.
Ginger Carroll
We had an amazing day kayaking with Kelley leading us through the beautiful swamp. It was a perfect mix of exploration and information. Kelley’s passion for the environment added a lot to make the experience meaningful.
Kathryn Barnish
This was such a fun, relaxing and scenic experience. Our guide, JOSH, was so knowledge of the swamp and seemed to be able to talk about anything you may be interested in. I love medicinal plants and he pointed out a few he knew about. I also loved his passion for the eco system of the swamp and his speech about wetland loss. We saw a few little Gators and plenty of fun creatures. Do it if you love going off the beaten path and don't want to do the real touristy airboat tour. I'm an eco friendly fiend so it was a nice way to enjoy the swamp without damaging or disturbing the eco system.
aleesha gambrell
I saw 10,000 alligators! Jeff was so knowledgeable about the environment and I felt like I was getting a picture perfect spotlight of Louisiana nature. I will take this tour everytime I return to NOLA. My boyfriend bought the favorite hat in his collection at the gas station before the tour. PRO TIP: Buy boiled peanuts! The perfect snack for your trip. It is the perfect daytime trip to experience while visiting. This intimacy far exceeds taking an airboat with 49 strangers.
shawn epstein
Positively one of the best things I have experienced in all the years I have been coming to New Orleans. Our guide Paul gave us interesting information and history of these wetlands. He also champions its survival considering its fragility. So relaxing and surreal in its beauty. I hope it continues to be around forever.
Laura Grossenbacher
My daughter and I took this two-person kayak tour through the bayou -- it's a wonderful way to see the swamp up close, and a nice workout at the same time, as a few stretches required paddling upriver. Our guide shared some great details about the ecosystem and the history of the area. We were able to get into areas of the swamp that would not be accessible to anything bigger than a kayak, and it is beautiful back there.
As a side note, the dive bar/BBQ joint that seems to share a building with this operation is worth arriving early to check out. Strike up a conversation with the grizzled locals inside, who are full of warnings about what can go wrong in the swamp on a kayak.
emmaline blackburn
Took the manchac swamp tour with Emma, it was fabulous, she taught us so much about the bayou and how swamps work, she made the trip very relaxing! And it’s definitely good for people of most ages, the hardest part was going through some weeds but for the most part is was pretty easy! So if you’re thinking about going, definitely do it and get out of the city!! Experience more then bourbon street!
A Wright
Great day kayaking and learning about the swamp and importance of conservation. Bingo was a great guide! Really appreciate his energy and excitement.
Devin Bryson
Great guide, tons of fun! Saw lots of alligators and birds! A very relaxing contrast to the regular tourist stuff in NOLA.
Cooper Cohen
The kayak tour was beautiful and fun! Our guide Will was highly knowledgeable, very kind & considerate, and gave us a great experience.
Julia Brennan
My boyfriend and I took the Manchac wildlife tour and we opted to be picked up in the French quarter. The entire trip went smoothly, our guide was chill as well as very informative, and the swamp was more beautiful than you can imagine. PRO TIP: Bring bug spray. When you're moving the mosquitos won't bother you but when you stop for a while they are vicious little suckers.
Timothy B Long
Will was our guide and he did a great job! He was knowledgeable and was sure to interact with everyone on the tour. Happy to see a gator, egrets and some turtles
Lori
Bingo was our tour guide and his first hand knowledge and genuine love of the area shined through and accentuated the natural, stunning beauty of the area. This is the best way to see the swamp. Thank you for a wonderful time!!
Abi W
Excellent tour by Kelly today, especially liked the land stewardship plug, we can all do our part!
Shawn Richardson
Our guide was super awesome!
Brandy Stone
Oh yes! If you are in New Orleans this is something you HAVE to do. Talk about having a great time enjoying fresh air, natural wildlife and hearing a bit about good ol' New Orleans history - this is definitely a fun experience. Our tour guides took us on a two hour intimate tour of New Orleans' historic Cypress swamps, and I felt absolutely safe! It was a relaxing getaway from Bourbon street, but still thrilling and exciting!
Adam Gustafson
Great tour, fun and nice to be outside in the nature during our visit to New Orleans. Learned a lot about the local flora and how/why to grow indigenous plants at home to encourage a healthy lifecycle wherever you live.
William Dey
Bingo was not only a super energetic and fun guide but also super knowledgeable about the area and it’s history! Kayaking is great on it’s on but Bingo made the experience even better with facts, history, and anecdotes.
Perry Broderick
Our guide was the man. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, spent extra time with us on the water, picked up a lot of garbage (more on that later), and even drove us to and from Nola proper. The tour was a good excuse to get outside of the city and get some exercise. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations, or perhaps being from Oregon where nature abounds I was idealistic, or maybe it was just the wrong time of the year, but the nature experience was dismal at best. We did see some cool vegetation, a handful of birds, but other than that, nothing but brown muddy water and a lot of garbage. In addition, the swamp tour is in close proximity to roads and houses, so it doesn't really feel that adventurous. While I'm glad I went, I wouldn't say the tour met my expectations, but I'd be willing to give it another try during a different season. Kudos to the company and guide for taking a vested interest in the swamp, its health and ecology.
Ryan Booth
We booked the tour last minute and everything went super smoothly. Mike (our guide) was knowledgeable and very contentious. His tour was fascinating and well paced. Highly recommend the experience!
Scott Lynch-Giddings
Fantastic experience, an absolute highlight of our trip to NOLA--which is saying a lot!
Debra Everett-Lane
NOLA Tours does amazing swamp tours! Nick was a wonderful tour guide and the route was beautiful. Highly recommended!
Jake O'Brien
With a torrential downpour raging on our drive out to the launch area, there was concern among our group. Nevertheless, our guide Bingo was an infectious hive of positive enthusiasm. We set off in the heavy rain after Bingo checked in with the company avout the weather forecasts, and paddled through beautiful swamplands and bayou serenity. Bingo was a wealth of balanced information on the geological issues of the area, history and land use. I would highly recommend this excursion for anyone looking to enrich their NOLA stay. Oh, and the rain did stip after a while. Great spirits in a great group.
Naomi B
We stopped for a real treat of boudin before a great adventure on Pearl River. The weather was inviting and the company excited like kids before Christmas. (A Turkey vulture was spotted before we even hit the water!) House boats, alligators, river slides, turtles, hogs, dragon flies and cypress knees for days enveloped our universe as we munched on local treats with the greatest guides I've ever had. This is a MUST DO. ♡
Giacomo Zonco
Really enjoyed the Kayaking! We were able to see a bald eagle, a lot of animals and finally an alligator at the very end!
Tour guide was also very nice!
Connor MacKenzie
Take this tour and hope Bingo is your tour guide. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, professional, and friendly. The Manchac swamp is beautiful and historically fascinating.

Amazing tour of the swamps, I did the Mancha tour just outside of New Orleans. The guide gave a great narrative and the wildlife was awesome. Highly recommend.
Katie Fitzpatrick
From a locals perspective, it's so refreshing to be on a tour that makes visitors aware of the true NOLA outside of the French Quarter. Lots of great history and environmental info on this tour-thats actually accurate! Highly highly recommended!!
Miruna Macri
We saw 5 alligators - amazing experience!!
Kellie Moberg

Jacob Dehner
This is definitely one of the highlights of my trip to new orleans. Shawn and aj were our guide, they were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and we're very patient with all the newbie kayakers. If you have a couple of hours to spare, definitely check this out.
meighan callahan
I've gone on a lot of tours in New Orleans and this one stands out alone as my favorite. If you have the chance, go on this tour and don't be fooled by the copy cat companies in he area. I've gone on all of them and they fall short on overall tour experience and quality.
Josh Murry
Well worth the price. On a beautiful sunny day I saw gators sunbathing along with turtles, and beautiful birds. The guide was very relaxed and didn’t stress about us taking our time.
Emma Watson
My husband and I went kayaking with New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours on our visit to New Orleans and had the most amazing time. On the tour Jerf pointed out the birds and wildlife (we saw otters!) and shared a great deal of history of the area too, as a local he seems to know it all. It was breeze working with both Jerf and Carl. All the details and info about what to do, how to do it and where to be were were perfectly outlined, and it all worked just like they said it would. Jerf even went onto plan the rest of our day in NOLA, which was perfect as well.
We try to take kayak wherever we go. Gets you out of museums and provides some fresh air. This ranked as one of the better short kayak excursions, and a calorie burner as well. So needed in NOLA.
Cammie Harris
First time & im addicted now. Bingo was a great guide!!!!
Omiajẹ Naturals

Kumari Lewis
Nick was great! Two hours was just enough to enjoy the kayak and see some alligators without it getting boring or too hot. Thank you!
Richard Ostry
There are few times in a life when a tour transcends the bounds of your expectations. When the perfect balance of activity and relaxation, science and nature, breeze and gator align. This was one of those times. I give this tour my undying word and a hearty recommendation to any and all brave enough to paddle. Godspeed.
Hans Friedrich Stabenau
I had a great time in the swamp kayaking with my two buddies. AJ was our guide par excellence. It was mid-december, so no gators, however, we saw an egret and a heron. Would go again for sure!
John Peaveler
Great outfit. Nothing fancy, just georgeous swamps and knowledgeable guides.

Mike is a true swamp donkey and a great bayou guide. I learned a lot about the wildlife and how sensitive the ecosystem is. Mike picked us up on time and made the trip a real pleasure. Someone give that guy a raise
Paola Martinez
MUST GO!! Super friendly staff-they genuinely care that you have fun! I wanted to jump off the rope swing in the swamp, but I was too scared so I asked AJ to go first and he totally did. It gave us all courage to try. My 48 year old dad went, I went, and a young couple went.
Make sure to take water because you will sweat a bit. HAVE FUN Y'all.

Stephani Curry
Bingo was an awesome guide and it was beautiful scenery. Saw tons of alligators!
Marc Schoenauer
Very cool afternoon, gently rowing in the bayou, with a little taste of adventure when the weeds get a little thicker. We even could come close to a (completely motionless) alligator, and saw the vulture (it seems to be wellknown :-) sitting proudly on a dead tree above us. + many nice explanations and anecdotes from Sam. THanks a lot!
Natalie Joeglal
