Naomi's communication, knowledge, and service was top notch. If we had started off like this my review would be 5+ stars!! I recommend Affordable Tours and am looking forward to our trip! First review (one star): I was assigned to Trisha F by an online price quote. Trisha told me she was "in training" all day until 4 or 5pm but we could discuss the quote afterward she finished. I wanted to discuss flight options and was willing to pay more for better travel times. I also wanted to clarify some travel details. Trisha gave me some of the information that I requested via email but not all. She said she was in training all week and would get back to me. By the time she did, the options that I had requested were no longer available. I am not sure if this was a bait and switch kind of thing? Or, if I missed out on these prices and options because she was not available? If that was the case she should have assigned me to someone else that could be more available. She now is not responding to me at all. I am very disappointed and I absolutely do not recommend this company.

October 28,2022 My 1st European MSC Cruise is worth remembering for its good delicious food, friendly staff, free application usage, economical costs and free drinking water everyday, However there were no free movies on its TV programs and it was quite a culture shock from an American, to experience the Europeans’ lack of courtesy and respect especially in observing line formation for buffet and theatrical show queues. I had booked a tour today and due to a change in vacation dates, I had to cancel the booking 2 hours later. Dana was amazing and very professional. Absolutely wonderful!! Our tour director Bernie McCarthy was so informative, polite, friendly and funny it wouldn't have been the same vacation without him, as great an itinerary as it was. So I have been fortunate enough to use affordable tours twice. My,first trip was a 15,day tour of Europe. It was called a taste of,Europe. It was truly just that. 7 different countries at a great pace. Sandra was our agent both times and she was flawless. Our tour guide in Europe was amazing and kept us on track and showed us so many great things. While on this trip we were able to meet great friends from Australia. I find the site simple and easy to use, although sometimes you have to call or send an e-mail to get an actual quote (and sometimes those quotes don't match up with what's on the site). However, this is pretty standard for the industry.

I also like the customer service. They are quick to respond by email or phone and are always happy to help. The tour took in every historical sight imaginable in the DC area, on up to & including Philadelphia. When we were booking our first trip, I checked with the Better Business Bureau in Texas to ensure that Affordable was a legitimate company. It's not what happens, it's how you respond when problems happen. We were half way through a Cosmos/Affordable Tours bus trip through Scandinavia. An hour outside of Bergen, Norway, our brand new bus developed a computer glitch. The driver tried numerous ways to reset the computer and make the bus drivable, but it wasn't working. Here is where Cosmos/Affordable Tours really shined. They are a big enough company, with enough depth of support that they had a new bus and driver out to our location within an hour. That is impressive. On top of that, although we didn't miss any sightseeing, and only arrived at out hotel about an hour later than scheduled, our tour guide treated us to a free pizza dinner for everyone as a form of apology. Twenty pizzas for forty people. Plenty of food on a night that would otherwise have been a "on or own" dinner. Their response to an unforeseen problem was top notch.

The fourth trip to India, I felt our agent dropped the ball in providing information to us to help us with the difficult itinerary and paperwork needed. I cannot say how happy I am with the way Luis handled our booking, which had a few bumps in it because of Trafalgar. Have had two terrific experiences with Affordable Tours, and we are about to embark on the third trip they have arranged for us. Our first trip, to Italy in 2010, almost turned into a disaster when a volcano eruption in Iceland caused cancellation of one of our flights, as we were actually at the airport waiting to depart! AT was able to quickly cancel and reschedule us for a few months later, without much if any additional cost to us. Most trips will come off without a hitch, but it's nice to know help is available if needed.They also have access to discounts not available to the average traveler. I attempted to use Affordable Tours to book a Cosmos Grand Tour of Switzerland in May of 2016. I subsequently found the trip through another retailer, who gave me a better deal, so I booked through Avoya Travel instead. I e-mailed Affordable Tours to let them know that I had found a better deal, since they say they offer to match prices offered by other travel agencies, but I never heard back from them.

The tour was a Mayflower Tour. It was well organized and the tour leaders where wonderful. They truly cared and watched over everyone on the tour. The group was surprisingly older even though the tour description stated strenuous activities. We stayed at a Best Western which had great food and service . The next stop was a Hilton hotel, beautiful rooms and amenities. Unfortunately the food was horrible and disappointing. My rating is 4.0 stars instead of 5.0 just because this most recent trip I have booked for June 2017 did not include free transfers and I have to pay almost $400 additional to the cost of the trip for 4 people. For the last 3 trips all our transfers from airport to the hotel and back were included in the package. I did not pay extra, that's the reason why I always book our flights with Affordable tours because of the free transfers. I thought the airfare I was offered was reasonable, but it turned out the route was not optimal and it will take long time to get there for the price I was quoted. When I asked about the flight schedule, they told me they have a better choice but not at the price I was told. I hope this trip is as good as the other ones I had or even better (except flying part).
