Absolutely do it if you’re considering taking this Segway tour at Human On a Stick. They’ll take you on a gorgeous route and make learning the history behind Minneapolis so fun! We had a big group (about 15 people) and everyone was able to pick up maneuvering the segway without any issues. They are way more fun to ride than e-bike or e-scooter. Trust me, this will be the highlight of your week! S/O to our delightful guide Ray, and his awesome team Aidan, Paige and Quinn for being wonderful teachers 😁

This tour was AWESOME! First off, if you've never ridden a Segway, then you're in for a treat. THEY ARE SO COOL!!! But then on top of that fun, this was a fantastic history tour of that area of Minneapolis. So much interesting detail presented in an easy to enjoy format. Kudos to our guides, Greg and Carl! Oh - and great fun for the whole family (they permit riders as young as 12)!

This was a family friendly and really fun activity for teens! I took my nephew to celebrate his 13th birthday and my 16 yr old daughter came along as well. They had a blast and so did I. The 3 hour tour was well worth the money. Our guides, Michael and Bill, were fantastic. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the historical aspects. He was engaging and funny. Bill was helpful and kind, offering riding tips and taking group photos. We definitely all want to do another tour with Human on a Stick. I would highly recommend the magical history tour of Minneapolis!

This is one of the best things I've done in the Twin Cities! I had guests from out of town and this tour was perfect. We did the Minneapolis tour and it combined the fun of the Segway with a little history on the city. We were age 12 to 67 and we all had a super time. Our guides were Paul and Carl and they were top notch. They were very safety conscious, provided an appropriate amount of city history and Paul has a great sense of humor.

What a fun experience! I took the Minneapolis tour on Saturday, September 3, 2022, with tour guides Thomas, Denny, and Tim. They were wonderful! The morning was invigorating and educational. Whether you are a visitor to the Twin Cities, or a lifelong resident like myself, it was great to learn the history behind the landmarks I've seen for years. I have to admit, at age 70, I was a little concerned as to my ability to ride a Segway, especially for 2.5 to 3 hours. However, the guides teach you well, keep a watchful eye at all times, and stay close by to offer assistance if needed. I actually found it to be a piece of cake and quickly felt very comfortable. There were other participants several years my senior. Additionally, because we made several stops along the way, the time went by quickly and easily. If you are wanting to find a fun little adventure, I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour! TJ was our guide and he was very informative on the history of Minneapolis at each landmark we stopped at. The Segway was in very good condition and given this was my first time ever on a Segway, operated with ease. I met the owner of the company and he's a super down to earth guy. I've just moved to the mid-west so this was a great way to learn about the history of Minneapolis and part of the Mid-west. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant, informative tour around a very pretty city.

Paul and Tim are awesome! Paul did the historical portions or the tour and was very fun and knowledgeable as he shared the history of the area. You can tell he has a passion for history, an amazing memory, and loves sharing his passion with his tour groups. Paul did not miss a beat when it came to the overall organization of the tour as well. Tim was equally fabulous! He was so thoughtful and gracious. You can tell he is a people person and enjoys sharing what he knows and getting to know the group. Tim took some super memorable photos of us all too with some great architecture in the backgrounds. I would recommend the tour to anyone looking for something fun to do. Also great for tourists or others wanting to learn more about the area/history. We made some fantastic memories with our nieces! I was looking forward to the Segway experience since I've never done! Unfortunately the airline delayed and ultimately cancelled my flight. I would arrive after the the Segway tour and we'll within the 48 hours cancellation policy period. I immediately sent an an email explaining my situation. The general manager responded within hours and provided me with a full refund! That's what customer service is about. Understanding that there are times that the customer doesn't have control within the policy's time and still provided me with a refund. Well done and thank you very much. I hope to use your services in the future.

We had an amazing time! The lessons were simple and easy to follow and our tour was beautiful. I wish we had gone further and didn't take such long breaks along the route but it was still filled with beautiful sights and history of the city that we enjoyed. I wish I cities remember the other guys name but shout out to Paul. He was kookie, fun and knew a lot of history! I enjoyed talking with him. Jim did a great job as tour guide, his knowledge of the area around St Anthony Falls is very impressive. He had a great way of sharing history mixed with story telling. Being honest I was skeptical, but after the tour I would highly recommend. Note- be prepared to be heckled on the stone arch bridge as some seem to not like sharing the bridge with Segway tours. Other than that enjoy!

Went on their tour of Minneapolis, and it was fantastic. I admit that, before going, I wasn't really sure if it was going to be fun. I usually don't like tours. But, even as a Twin Cities native, I saw parts of Minneapolis I had never seen before, learned things about the city I never knew, loved riding the Segway, and had a blast with the tour guides (Cady, Roop, Luke, and Chase . . . you rock!). Highly recommended to people from the area and to those visiting.

The segways at first were a little intimidating but the guides do an awesome job getting you trained in and by the end you feel like a pro! I was born and raised in Minneapolis, and I was blown away by how much I didn’t know about my own city! Would recommend the tour to anyone. Make sure you dress for the weather because it can get cold near the river.

This is absolutely the best way to tour, as long as you can get the hang of controlling the equipment (not that difficult). We are not native Minnesotans, so it was really nice to see sights up close and to learn some history at the same time... and, yes, the riding was super fun! Their guides are engaging, knowledgeable and always focused on safety. The two- hour tour was a bit pricey, but I'd still do it once a year... at least.

We wouldn't have gone to half of those places on our own. Learning how to drive the Segway was also awesome.Ray patiently coached us and made sure I was comfortable.

Great place to learn how to ride a Segway and get a tour of the city. The tour was a good length, it's not just a mile long hop on hop off. You actually get to spend a lot of time on the Segway. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

Our tour started with our guide Andy getting us comfortable with the Segways to the point where we never had any issues riding, mounting, or dismounting for the rest of the tour. After officially starting they always went out of their way to check on us to make sure we were in the clear from traffic and making sure we felt comfortable with any maneuvers we made and if we ever needed to take a break for whatever reason. He was also open to any questions we had along the way and although he couldn't fully answer all of them the ones he did were very well-spoken and many felt as they came from a place of passion. By the end of the tour, Andy had maintained a very comfortably casual connection with the group and if I could go again even if we only to see the same things again I absolutely would. In the end, I would give the tour a 10/10 rating Thank you, Andy, for the wonderful tour you provided

"Human on a stick" was a fun experience for our family. Our guides (Thomas, Denny, and Julia) were awesome! I was somewhat nervous for the tour, but they guided me through every step of learning and ensured that everyone was comfortable with the Segway before actually beginning the tour. Riding the Segway was easier than I anticipated and was quite fun! Thomas was very knowledgeable about the city of Minneapolis. He was funny, kind, and overall gave us all a great experience! I’d recommend The Magical History Tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Minneapolis. Locals (like me) and tourists alike will have a great time and learn a lot about this beautiful city while on this tour!

My husband and I had a really awesome time with Bill & Jim, along with our group- even though it was stormy and raining out. The training/safety was quick but thorough, we felt safe even though we’ve never hooverboarded or segwayed before. The tour was perfectly timed (about 2 hours on the Segway around Minneapolis for us) plenty of opportunities to take a break to sit if you’re old or have bad hips/knees and they even had water & cookies for us which was fun 🤩 thanks for the 1 year wedding anniversary memories!

What a wonderful and delightful experience in so many ways! My family and office team had so much fun and the Segway tour really was magical. When you drive a Segway, it is as easy as walking, but you feel almost like you are hovering as you roll down the Mississippi River pathways. Our tour guides, Ben, Denny and Ruth were thoughtful and safe and Ben did an incredible job of explaining the fascinating history of the area. He made the past come alive and taught us so many things that I never knew - even though I've lived here all my life. I would rank this as a "Must Do" experience for anyone who wants to have fun making memories that truly last.

This tour was so much fun! The instruction on how to ride was very thorough, and then the tour itself was delightful. Michael is extremely knowledgeable about Minneapolis history as well as being very engaging. He also spoke loudly enough so that we could all hear him through his mask. Physical distancing and mask wearing was evident during the tour, as well as disinfection of helmets, etc. It's a super fun way to spend a beautiful afternoon, especially if you're afraid to do anything indoors right now!

The Segway of Minneapolis tours are fantastic! Great for those new to the city, or those who just want to try out the Segway for fun. I went on the Downtown tour which goes through St. Anthony Main, the Stone Arch Bridge, Downtown, Boom Island, Nicollet Island, and back. The tours are run by extremely knowledgeable guides who really take the time to show off Minneapolis, both old and new. What really impressed me was the general knowledge of the history of the city of Minneapolis, and the changes with the riverfront. I'll definitely bring along visitors next time as this is a great way to show off Minneapolis.

Went on this tour with my 12 year old daughter during some down time of a volleyball tournament. Well worth the price and a professional experience top to bottom. Tour guides Rachel and Julia were informative and made sure we had a lot of fun during our almost 3 hour tour of some really cool spots in MPLS. I wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with this outfit...you can't go wrong and the segway is really easy to use after the 10 minute training session they give you at the beginning of the tour. The guides are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and know what they're doing. This was our second time on a Segway tour; the first being in Washington, DC. Our guides to be, Ben, Sarah Catherine and Rielly, greeted us and started preparing us for the fun to come. They started with the mandatory training and kept things light. Then we went outside to do the hands-on training where they make sure we could control our Segways. Finally they unleashed on the world under their supervision. We had fun, enjoying their guidance, the weather and Ben’s wit, humor and knowledge of Minneapolis’ history. Rielly and Sarah Catherine rode shot-gun and tail-gunner, interchangeably, informing us of faster traffic, talking with us about the neighborhoods around us and keeping us together. The terrain changed constantly: concrete, brick, asphalt, crushed gravel, up hills, down winding paths and dips in the roads; our shepherds got us safely over it all with “heads-up” cautionary statements. I am glad we did it. A most enjoyable way to be introduced to a unique city.

Our sales team of 5 people went a couple of weeks ago (sort of on a whim) for a private tour. We showed up slightly sceptical of how quick we would catch on or how much fun it would be. It was $80/piece and then an extra $100 since we were going to be getting our own personal tour guide. I'll be the first to tell you that it's the best money we ever spent on a group outing! Our tour guide asked us in the beginning of the tour what kind of history we wanted to learn about and we chose to hear the "interesting and tragic" version and boy was he great! We learned all kinds of interesting facts about Minneapolis and the Twin Cities area from a Poli-Sci major (who grew up in the area) that you never would have learned about by just going to a museum. There are very few places where you need to cross roads, you are surprised by how quickly you catch onto how the segway drives (and are an expert by the end of the 3 hours), you don't feel like a dork at all, and is an experience that will not be forgotten. It was the talk of the sales group and everyone else was sooo jealous when they heard about how much fun it was! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for something outside of the box to do in Minneaplis! I'd like to take my family on this tour ASAP!

We were invited and, as inexperienced people, had a lot of fun on the two and a half hour city tour on Segways in a group of 26 after the short briefing! participants.
