Gus is amazing to work with. He had our trip planned out perfectly. We didn’t have to worry about anything. He gave us recommendations on restaurants, how much we should tip each person, and places to visit. From the time we got off the plane in Cairo until we got back on the plane heading home, everything was perfect! He had a representative meet us at the airport and helped us get checked into our hotel. Gus arranged an English speaking tour guide and driver everyday. They were very informative and helpful. Gus did the work in planning all the details, day trips, flights, and took all the headache out of planning a trip. Anytime we had a question we sent him a message him and he responded immediately. Gus made this a very enjoyable trip!

My husband and I knew we wanted to visit Egypt and that’s about all we knew before we contacted Egypt Adventures Travel. We started doing a bunch of online research and got completely overwhelmed. First we stumbled on the Egypt travel adventures YouTube channel and after watching a few videos we reached out for help. Gus was extremely helpful from the time we contacted him until we were back home in the United States. Gus answered all of the questions and concerns we had about Egypt as well as planned our entire trip starting with when we arrived. He made this such a stress free experience. He connected us with an awesome guide who spoke great English as well as created our itinerary so that we could fit in everything we wanted to see or do and also the best restaurants. Gus also checked in regularly and also continued to answer questions while we were on the trip. He also located a place for us to get our covid test and ensured the process was smooth for entering back into the United States. I seriously don’t know what we would have done without his help.

Gus spoke with us via Zoom and email and WhatsApp and connected us with a local guide for our trip. Gus from Egypt Adventures Travel was so helpful with our recent trip to Egypt. While planning our trip we came across his YouTube channel and found so much info everything was covered. Information on his website really came through. While we were preparing to leave Cairo we needed to get Covid-19 test with a very short turnaround. He provided a number using Whats-app of a team of medical personnel. They scheduled a time and came to our hotel and collected a sample and provided the results in less than 6 hours. Highly recommend Gus and Egypt Adventures Travel for anything to do with planning a trip to Egypt.

Stumbling across Gus' YouTube channel was one of the happiest accidents I can remember. My boyfriend and I have wanted to go to Egypt, but like so many, we had no clue where to begin. Also, it was a little daunting and scary to think about given it's so far away and so different from any place we'd ever been. After reaching out to Gus and setting up a zoom call, we instantly started to see our pipe dream becoming a possibility, and not nearly as scary as we thought. Gus is absolutely amazing at what he does, assisting us in planning and arranging the trip of our lifetimes. But more importantly , he set every fear we had at ease. Not only is Gus knowledgeable about Egypt from his time living there (which he still basically does part time I think), he also makes himself available before and during your entire trip. This was such a comfort to us. One of the best services he offers to travelers bound for this amazing country is setting you up with one of his trusted tour guides on the ground ready to help you navigate a brand new culture and make memories that will last forever. I took the option of interest survey -- candid discussion -- itinerary recommendations -- three local guides recommendations. It worked perfectly for me and my college-age son's visit to Cairo in April 2022. Gus made some initial assumptions and recommendations, and we talked about some things that I didn't want or need. Gus listened and updated -- he also gave me good advice from his insider perspective. He recommended three local guides. I selected Noha Nabil, and she was great. We saw what we wanted to see, and re-visited Khan el Khalili a second time, and we didn't overstay anywhere -- she adapted to our comfort level. I have travelled a lot without a guide, but a guide seems essential in Cairo.

I was lucky enough to be a member of Gus’s inaugural guided tour in November, 2021. And I’m struggling to convey a sliver of what that experience was like. If you can imagine all the sense of adventure with none of the hassles that befall one when venturing out alone, that’s kinda what it’s like on an Egypt Adventure Travel tour. What Egypt holds as a destination is beyond overwhelming. Yet on this tour it felt like we experienced a nearly exhaustive overview, perfect for the first-time visitor. Although I always felt very well tended, I never felt like we were traveling in sort of a protected bubble. Rather, we were plunged into the thick of it, whether eating at a local restaurant, crawling into (very claustrophobic!) pyramids and crypts, or coursing through the mazes of nighttime markets. From day one the accumulation of indelible memories begins. Experience it!

Visited Egypt and used Gus as a tour guide in Cairo for a couple of days before joining a different tour. I traveled with a group of friends and has some specific requests. We wanted to see some of the local shops, try some of the local food and see the "nightlife". Gus had it all set up and was very organized and efficient. If it’s your first time traveling to Egypt, you’re 100% going to need a guide and/or someone to at least help craft an itinerary that gets the most out of your time there. Well, look no further than Egypt Adventure Travel. My wife and I wanted to spend 5 nights in Egypt as the cherry on top of our 3 week honeymoon in different parts of Africa, seeing all the major sights of Cairo and Alexandria. Other people we spoke with said this would be too tough with such a limited amount of time. Gus took my request and in less than 48 hours came up with an itinerary that included everything we wanted to see/do in the most efficient order possible, and also included reccomendations to the best restaurants (get the rice muammar with pigeon at Abou El Sid *chefs kiss*) and other tips like how to most conveniently get your covid test done to re-enter the United States. Our only regret was that we didn’t just bring Gus along to be our guide on the ground!

In December 2022 I traveled to Egypt to join a two-week tour that I had originally booked in early 2020, but had twice been postponed due to the pandemic. When I booked my airline reservations, the best flight schedule and fare put me in Cairo two days before the group tour was to begin, which was fine, since it gave me an opportunity to visit museums and sites not included in the packaged tour. However, since I have never visited Egypt and am not familiar with public its transportation, I wanted to secure the services of a private guide to maximize my time. Having viewed a few of Gus Gleiter's YouTube guides, I contacted Egypt Adventures Travel for assistance with the list of historic sites and museums I wanted to visit during my two extra days. Gus made additional tour suggestions and arranged for my personal guide, Usama, who was very knowledgable of Egyptian history and fun to be with. Usama's efficient scheduling of our itinerary even permitted us to visit a couple of additional museums and to take walking tours of some fascinating historic districts. He introduced me to some wonderful local restaurants where I believe I was the only foreign customer. During the two days, Gus periodically checked in with us by WhatsApp to make sure all was going according to plan. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service that both Gus and Usama provided!
