We just had our SUP lesson with Andy and when I tell you it was the best experience ever, it truly was! Andy was so thorough, friendly, helpful and taught us all the basics and essentials to being comfortable with being on the water. Andy was such a great instructor that he got us standing after a few minutes in the water and we stood the whole time after! He not only taught us everything we needed to know to feel confident but he made it such a fun time with his energy and humor. And the location is super convenient! The marina is the perfect place to learn SUP. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful! Me and my daughter left on a bliss SUP high lol. We will absolutely be back and making this a frequent thing. What’s great is they rent their boards out too so we plan on making this a bi- weekly thing! Thank you Pro SUP shop and Andy for one of the best days ever! We are totally obsessed with SUP now.

My fiancé & I had an amazing time getting paddle board lessons from Andy and his assistant Cassie. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and strategic in his approach to teaching. He briefly had us start in the sand to learn paddle form & paddle strokes for maximum efficiency on the water. We then headed to the Marina where we practiced the different strokes in action along with getting comfortable with standing up and kneeling down on the SUP. He taught us paddle board etiquette when moving amongst incoming boat traffic to stay safe and be respectful. It was an awesome time - Andy was high energy and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. We will be back to rent our own paddle boards!

They were able to accomodate a large group from our gym without a problem. The owner is the loveliest most attentive person and Abel is the best!!! They even suggested great experiences for another day like a sunset paddle. We had a great time. We will be back!

It was my first time paddle boarding, and I was nervous about how it would go. Upon arriving, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. My sister and I came for a paddle board lesson and absolutely loved our instructor, Andy! We had a blast learning from him as he was patient, kind, funny, and thorough with his instructions in an easy to follow manner. My sis and I really enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to coming again! 10/10

The team at Pro Sup Shop did a fantastic job administering a special group lesson event for our Boy Scout Troop recently. We had a large group of 13-16 scouts who were missing a final set of single kayak requirements to complete their Kayaking Merit Badge from summer camp. Joy, the group event manager, was super responsive and flexible in working with our troop to set up a lesson format to accommodate all the interested scouts and arranged for very qualified/experienced instructors to follow and teach the Boy Scout badge requirements. The scouts very much appreciated having a former scout Andy, as the lead instructor. The other instructor, Karen, was great too. Both were able to teach and test the scouts on needed skills to pass the requirements, and had great coverage to pull aside and work with the occasional scout who needed some extra help in learning the skills. They even led the scouts on some fun races to cap off the lesson. The troop scoutmasters and parents were very pleased with event, and the scouts were thrilled to be able to earn their merit badge. Thank you Pro Sup Shop for all the great memories!

I had a wonderful experience with instructor Zeina! I thought SUP would be hard, but with the help of Zeina, it was super easy and super fun! I would definitely recommend Zeina and ProSUP, and always remember to have fun!!!

I was looking to get a good upper body workout and got exactly that. The day I went, the winds were very strong and the waves were somewhat choppy. By the time I finished, my arms and back were beat. The SUP shop trailer is fairly easy to spot from the street, so it isn’t too hard to find. Parking lots are available near the trailer and street parking was pretty easy as well, if you don’t mind the walk. Walk in’s are welcome but I strongly suggest making reservations online when going on holidays or weekends. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and super helpful. Ryan and his coworker were kind enough to share some sunscreen with us, and they even have a nice shoe/sandal rack so that you don’t have to leave them on the beach. For the beginners in our group, they gave everyone a quick tutorial to get things going, and even helped bring the boards out into the water for those who had trouble. Their equipment was overall well maintained and other than the loose rubber on my paddle board, I had no issues. The kayaks even looked like they had back rests! Rentals run about $30 an hour. Love the views, great service and a fun activity to do while in the area. Had a wonderful experience at Mothers Beach, thanks Pro Sup Shop!

Our tour of Marina del Ray was super! Our guide, Karen, was so enthusiastic and informative. She gave us a lot of local knowledge about the area. She told us a lot about the Marina and the animals (birds, seals, whales and sea-lions). We spotted many sea-lions and seals on our tour. She also gave us tips on paddling effectively. I highly recommend this tour and Pro SUP Shop.

It was my first time paddleboarding, and I learned so much about how to properly paddle. I really appreciated how the class was less about how to paddle "fast" and more about how to wisely navigate the marina. We had a great time--our instructor was thorough in explaining HOW to paddle, how to keep balance, how to avoid falling, and beyond that, just how to paddle safely to avoid boats, etc. I feel like I could teach someone else how to do it. I recommend taking a lesson--I feel like I can confidently go paddleboard alone. Plus, neither of us fell off so we definitely think Andy's tips were spot on!!! Highly recommend you take a class to learn how to do it safely and smartly. I feel so confident now.

I would highly recommend Pro sup shop :) My husband and I had to reschedule due to him being sick and Joy, one of the staffers, was accommodating and kind. The day of, they were organized, the kayaks+paddles were in good shape, and the staff seemed very fun, helpful, and easy to talk to! Fabulous experience! They were super kind even though I showed up too early and they gave great directions so we could see the sea lions while paddling around the marina. We booked a kayak and sup for an hour and a half, but were happy to be told we could use them all day for an $20 an hour on top of our original booking fee. Both were in awesome condition. We ended up only using our hour and a half, but was glad we didn't have to rush back for someone else to use them.

We had a fantastic experience. Made reservations to reserve 3 kayak's for 90 minutes on the 4th. The staff members were outstanding. They were helpful, professional, and organized. The equipment was in very good condition, with no issues. I would definitely recommend and will use Pro SUP in the future. After our fun on the water, we went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch, it's walking distance away. Great time!!

Unbelievable people and service, they lent me two paddles after we somehow forgot our paddles in SD. They saved the weekend for us and we can’t thank them enough. I called every shop in the area and even the other shops said my best bet was the Pro SUP Shop. They were right. Mike and team took amazing care of us and we will for sure rent from them when we return with the rest of the family. If you are looking for the spot to rent quality gear, they have it but the customer service is even better.

Excellent experience at a great location. Very easy to rent and plenty of nearby parking just adjacent to Marina Del Rey. Lots of channels you can cruise down. Along the way you may encounter a seal or two as well as a few sea lions sunning on the back of someone's boat. Just keep paddling and enjoy the cool Pacific breeze. The staff is enthused and ready to assist whether you're experienced or need lessons. I had a great time. Swing by and check them out. It's a very cool LA experience.

Fantastic professional service throughout our visit. I brought a group to ProSUPShop for a company team building event – the staff at ProSUPShop was well organized and greeted each member of my group upon arrival and seamlessly facilitated the check-in and equipment sizing process. After a brief landside instruction on the basics of standup paddling, our group transitioned to the water for a great group paddling session. Several members of our group were first time paddlers and the ProSUPShop staff was able to get them on their feet and paddling with giant smiles within minutes. 😎

Great team build experience! We just had our team build event at Pro SUP and it was a great experience. It was seamless to book paddle boards online for the team (10 of us), and when I called in to change a few paddle board rentals to kayak rentals they were accommodating. This was my first time paddle boarding, and I had a blast! Check in was smooth. Made reservations online, waited in line to get checked in, told him our names, and we were good to go. We picked up our paddles and was walked to the shoreline where the boards were waiting in the water. He gave us a short intro, and we were off. The water was pretty calm, but had to occasionally avoid the boats. Experience with the staff here was excellent and would definitely come back!

Our family had a great experience here today taking a group Stand-up Paddleboard lesson with Daniel. Pro SUP Shop is one of those rare businesses where it’s evident from the moment you arrive that everyone who works there absolutely loves what they do. Our elementary-school-aged daughter often takes a long time to warm up to new experiences and new people but Daniel worked hard to break through and establish a personal connection with her and he relentlessly built up her confidence throughout the lesson, which made it possible for us all to enjoy the experience even more. Awesome family run service! I've come here 3 times now - twice with my 3 kids and once with a friend. Online reservations make everything super easy. Just get fitted for your life jacket and pole and go on down to the water's edge for your stand up paddleboard and a quick lesson from staff if you need it. Equipment is safe and sturdy. Life jackets available for all sizes and dogs too! We had a blast. I was surprised that the water was not too cold in October, November and March. Will definitely come again.

This is a great shop. They are helpful knowledgeable prompt efficient and friendly! I had never kayaked before but was able to paddle through the marina for a couple of hours with ease and thoroughly enjoyed being out in the Water with the fabulous scenery of houseboats and yachts docked along the shore. The guys at Pro SUP are pretty friendly and nice! I really appreciated them giving pointers here and there when it was my first time out on the Marina where boats are constantly moving. Staff is quick to get you out there on the water for your session. Nice to know that I can leave my items and shoes with them instead of trying to sort last minute essentials in the car. Parking is through MDR, and rates are not that bad/can be found online on the city's website.

I am a case manager at a non-profit in pasadena. We are hosting our summer programming for our high school and middle school students. All of the students were beginners in Paddle Boarding and the Pro Sup team was amazing. They gave demos ( some needed a repeat lesson), made sure they felt safe and secure on the boards, and even played a game with our middle school students. Even though the kids were nervous at first, they came out of the water saying they had a great time and wanted to stay on the water for much longer. The team was amazing and we are looking forward to bringing more students and maybe team members there in the future. Thank you for the great experience!

We had a large group from the Jewish big brothers and big sisters of Los Angeles, and when I went to them and first bought all of their two-person kayaks, they were very accommodating and helped me out, and gave me all the information I needed. Then H contacted them and told them we would be tripling our order, and they found a way to make everybody happy and make sure that the people at my event were all taken care of. Everyone who needed a vest got one, and everyone who needed a lesson on how to do paddleboard or kayaking had the instructions needed. I would recommend these people 100 percent

From the moment we got to the location this whole team was just so friendly and accommodating! They were all smiles and it was only about 2 minutes from checking in to getting down to our kayaks and taking off. The location is stunning with all the boats at the marina. There's even a little beach area to hang out after returning your gear. The only down side is paying for parking but that's common around here anyway. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back!

Had a great time at out on the bay this morning. I thought padding in the Marina with all the boats would make the experience crowded and a bit dangerous. However, I found it strangely comforting and connecting with the others engaging in water activities (kayaking, sailing, boat tours). For the most part the water was smooth with occasional turbulence calls cause by passing boats. Over all very pleasant experience. I will caution to pay attention the return trip, easy to confuse the right boat path.

My family of 3 booked a 2-hour intro lesson with Cole and absolutely loved it! My daughter is 10 and having him there as we worked on gaining confidence without worrying about her safety was HUGE. He was patient with her and had a great vibe about him, which made the whole experience super pleasant for the three of us. If you're looking for a fun, easy activity for any adventure level, do this. Friendliest staff and the sea lions were an added bonus.

I’m sure their kayaks are fine, but I called an hour and a half prior to wanting to go out and they said they had kayaks available and they wouldn’t let me put my name on the list, then in the twenty minutes it took us to get there, apparently they had more reservations than they can handle. So, my recommendation: Make a reservation online 2 hours + BEFORE you want to kayak. Bc they won’t let you put your name down and they won’t let you book within 2 hours.

I’ve rented paddle boards from pro SUP Shop about a dozen or so times over the past few years. Everyone who works there is always super nice and helpful. Equipment is always in good shape and parking is easy... (about $6 to park in the Jamaica Bay Inn lot). Reservations are best... weekdays are never an issue, though I’ve been by one or 2 times on weekends (pre covid) and had to wait a while till they had enough boards for our large group (not so painful- we just got drinks at the hotel while we waited. Lol) I suspect things may be less busy after covid though (?) so don’t let the possibility of it being busy deter you. Have fun!!!

Rented a tandem kayak online an hour ahead of time (awesome). Check in was super easy and COVID safe - we grabbed our kayak by the water and were on our way within minutes. Pro SUP was very accommodating, had competitive rates, and were super responsive when I called with questions. My friend and I rented paddle boards there for an hour and were really happy with the service and quality of the gear. They are set up right next to the beach and have an area where you can leave your shoes and belongings while you paddle. My friend had never paddled before and one of the employees was able to give her a quick rundown on what to do. The waters of the marina are very calm which makes it an idea place to learn for first-timers. We also went on a Sunday which meant we were able to park for free on the street by the marina where the curbs were painted yellow.

I've been SUPing for over a decade and these guys are by far the best. Local knowledge, kind, friendly and experienced. Today was the first time I took my 7 year old on a board, we rented from ProSup so I didn't have to lug my 12 footer all the way to Mother's beach. It was so easy, the Pro team was so friendly and helpful that my little man jumped right on and paddled away on his first try. Point is he wasn't nervous because everyone was so encouraging and fun. Very friendly and helpful staff! My best friend and I arrived 30 minutes early for our booking and we were having trouble finding the location of Pro SUP. We called them and they led us in the right direction and found them shortly after. My friend had made a reservation for the tandem kayak, but the other person she was going on it with couldn't make it so they hooked her up with a single passenger kayak and offered us a voucher for the difference in payment (tandem was 35, single is 25). The two young ladies then took us to the shore and kindly demonstrated proper form and technique for both the stand up paddle board and kayak. We went out and had a great time!! Very nice marina, beautiful day, and unforgettable time. Thanks!

Fiendly staff and excellent service!! They rent single Kayaks (25$/hour), double kayaks (35$/hour) and stand up paddle boards (25$/hour). They are located at mother's beach (the location in google maps is pretty accurate). Although paddling is pretty easy and doesn't need much experience, if it's your first time they will give you an introduction on how to paddle before getting into the water. If you wish to paddle in marina del ray area this place is highly recommended.

Going to pro sub shop was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only did I learn how to stand up paddleboard, but using it in my surfing has increased my fun factor more than 100%. Additionally, there is such a strong great group of people there, we ended up becoming a bunch of great friends, and have been on many amazing journeys together. From 15 miles around Palos Verdes, too many trips deep in the northern Malibu. This is a great place to learn how to become an excellent stand up paddle boarder with all the tips and tricks, from seasoned pros who teach from experience.

The waters are calm there boards are new, light weight and fast. At Pro Sup Shop you can rent SUP boards, Kayaks, buy SUP boards and get and amazing lesson. They are based out of the most beautiful hotels in Marina del Ray, The Jamaica Bay Inn. There is a restaurant at there location called the Beach Side Cafe. It's delicious try the Hummus, $7 Fish Tacos, Seared Ahi Salad. The HAPPY HOUR is always 2 for 1. This all really comes in handy after a long paddle though the Marina. Last time i went out I saw Dolphins in the Marina. I give PRO SUP SHOP Two Thumbs way up high!!
