We loved our Big Bus Tour in Los Angeles! 😍 I am a big fan of this company because we took the tour in many cities: Miami, New York, Washington, Hong Kong, etc and all our experiences has been great! The staff is always very friendly, willing to guide and recommending good places or attractions to visit 🙏 I believe that if you do not know the city or if is your first time, I very convenient to take the tour to: (1) understand or learn the history of the city and more important landmarks or attractions (2) it’s good to have a overview of the city to be able to decide where to go (without wasting your time) (3) and last but not least, having the opportunity of taking great pictures without having to drive, park, etc. Is super convenient ;0)

Great tour to take both the beaches, LA, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. A bit confusing since we bought our tickets online and a tourist helper told us to wait in front of the Shore Hotel when the pick up spot was in the back but once on it went great. They give you free headphone to listen to (many different language options) the tour. Traffic makes it a bit off sync with the recording but you eventually catch up.

We did a celebrity home tour. We scheduled for a 3 pm tour but got stuck in traffic when called to reschedule for 4 pm, the person answered kindly rescheduled and sent the email. Happy with customer support. On 21st August there was a biking event when we visited the specified address the person in charge told us to visit a different place. She told due to traffic the tour might start early. Asked us to be there by 3:40 pm. We reached early but they started the tour at 4:15 pm. The bus driver gave us a headset and told the channel. She also gave us some candies. Tour was fun. The website said “There will be a stop at Universal Overlook for picturesque views of the San Fernando Valley and Universal Studios” but that didn't happen The driver dropped us off at 6 pm. Since the bike event was over, driver was kind enough to drop us at the place where the tour was supposed to start.

Great tour full with great information related to the story of the cities and some of the most famous buildings and shops. Drivers have to be more careful when they drive closer to the trees with long branches. I was hitted by one of them during the ride on my face. Thank God I had my glasses. I would have received it directly in my eyes. But great experience overall.

We had an great Ride! Better Customer service than or home city Big Bus. Got the last 4pm Hollywood bus and enjoyed. The info was little Adult and negative but I get it. 1st I was like wow they are dragging the black people(it is BHM) but quickly realized They drag everyone lol

Tour Guide Michelle on the 130pm smaller tour bus was SUPERB! While negotiating turns, lane changes she opened her encyclopedic memory to a dozen of us. The sights she knew about, as well as STARs and other famous people dazzled us. Be ready to inhale and hold your breath as she easily maneuvers winding roads like a moonshine runner. Her stops tested those bus brakes ever so often. I suggest a pair of binoculars to see the city she knows like RandMcNally Map! "He lives here, she lives there, get the camera ready" was the constant chatter through fantastic ear buds. Perhaps she's not only been a resident (local native) of the area but probably read every supermarket paper to keep up on the Hollywood news. THANK You Michelle for the memorable experience.

The Big Bus Tour was a good view of the Los Angeles area, and gave a lot of history( on audio) regarding the city and important events. A two hour ride around the city that was spectacular and informative. It was a bit pricey, but if you notify Big Bus tour by text or email in advance you may receive a discount offer on the tickets.It was a worthwhile ride and activity. The Bus driver was friendly, helpful and professional. We give it two thumbs 👍🏾up.🙂

Had a great time on the Hollywood tour of the stars homes through Beverly Hills. Driver was very entertaining and the tour was great with some good stops for pics over the valley and of the Hollywood sign. A must do when visiting Hollywood

I always try to catch Big Bus in a new city. I’d never been to LA, so this seemed like a perfect way to get around to the spots I needed to check out. The ticket was reasonably priced. The narration was super informative, I now have a great understanding of some basic LA history. They have two routes Blue (which hits up the beaches) and Red (Hollywood). It’s impossible to do both routes in 1 day and the routes stop running too early. Started with the Blue route based on where I was staying and almost got stranded in the Red route!! I’m not sure there’s a good solution since LA traffic is largely to blame, but maybe start earlier (before 10 am) and run later (until 7 pm) so that tourist can actually get what they pay for.

Loved it. Ot is a nice and safe way to see the city. I would definitely do it again. It does get crowded, I suggest staying on the bus once around then second time around get off.

We were on the Celebrity TMZ Tour Oct 29th 2022 and we were lucky enough to have Melanie as our guide. She managed to find Jared Leto and he even hopped on the bus to talk to us! HE WAS SO NICE!!! She was also very funny and made the trip extra fun! Our driver was also very good. I highly recommend.

The app was great for finding where the bus was, but the time in between buses is a lot so you really have to choose carefully where you will stop as a one day pass you cannot do too many stops as the bus runs only 10am to 4.30pm also the view from the lower level of the bus is not great and cannot take photos since there is a black screen type thing covering the windows. The commentary on the bus was really good though but we didn’t have time to get down and many stops with the limited operation hours.

The Hop On Hop Off Bus is always the way to go when visiting a new city. The LA tour was great because it covered a lot of the best sites in and around Hollywood & Beverly Hills. The automated tour guide audio is out-dated though and should be updated. The buses were pretty full and it didn't appear that they ran more often than every hour; so it was too risky to hop off - - and there are NO signs of where exactly the bus will stop to get picked up. We just stayed on the whole trip (about 2 hours) and we had a great time.

My friends and I did the TMZ Tour in Hollywood last Sunday. It was awesome. At the check in we got a VIP badge (everyone did, kinda made you feel special) the tour was very interactive. Melanie was fun and energetic and knew all the spots where the stars were. We did see some people come out from the Dancing with the Stars practice. I wish I knew who they were🥲. Well worth it. We had a small group but would love to go again at night or during the week.

Great way to explore the city and hear some fund facts about the different neighborhoods and landmarks. Buses were timely and clean. Your pass is good for 24 hours. I started at 1pm then came back the next day and rode to a couple of the stops I didn't have time to do the day before.

Got the 2 day hop on hop off and celebrity home tour package. Great way to learn about the area. Loved sitting in the top level seeing all the sights. Good amount of stops. The celebrity tour was great but it was hard to hear the driver through the headphones, very muffled. The double decker bus was a bit dirty. Overall though would recommend. Make sure to wear sunscreen on the top deck. They provide headphones for you as well.

We had a blast on our TMZ tour. Our host was a comedian who is on the show and she made us laugh the entire time. We didn't see any stars but she was a star in her own right because she was much more entertaining than any we've ever met. We would definitely recommend this tour.

We took the hop on hop off tour to see the sites in Hollywood. The company provided ear buds for us to use, but did not tell us what channel to tune to to hear the tour until it was almost over. We still saw some really cool sites.

The TMZ Celebrity tour was great! I was running a little late for the tour and they waited for me before pulling off. They took us to all the celebrity hang outs. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. I had a great time.

If you dont have a lot of time to spend in LA, but still want to see what it offers, the Big Bus Tours is the best way to do so. A great opportunity to take pictures too 🙂 I did this tour a while ago, but I have not forgotten Victoria, I really enjoyed the tour because of her, she is such a knowledgeable, friendly, cooperative, dynamic guide. Overall great experience.

Good and informative audio, free earphones, friendly staff. One major issue: The two routes did not connect at all. Both times we switched routes, we had to wait 45 minutes for the next bus to arrive. We even saw one bus drive away while we were arriving! Very dissatisfying. Edit: Quick and great (personal) reply from BigBus to help solve matters and improve future experience.

Love this tour and the options that the bus stops at. It was very nice to be able not to have to drive and learn about all the main attractions in LA. We also went on the TMZ tour which was amazing and a must do again when we come back. It was so much fun. I got really great advice as well on what we should do and in the order from the representative who signed us up. JoJo was able to help us figure out everything that would be good for us to do based on our wants.

We took Big Bus for explanations about Los Angeles, learn more about history and hot spots. Unfortunately, we had some issues with soundtrack in bus. Customers service took very seriously comments done and they took action. We were really impressed by their receptivity to problems raised. For sure we will consider Bug Bus in our future trip! Good experience on all line!

While you get to see a lot of Hollywood and Beverly Hills keep in mind that the frequency is only every 45 minutes. You need to plan ahead to maximize your enjoyment. We want to thank Mary from customer service for reaching out to us after we had problems on our day, it is much appreciated!

get what u pay for. We thought this would take us at least 2 days of transportation but honestly we uber/lyft more than we wanted. The route is only one way and the whole ride is a long drive, bus comes every 45 minutes although you don’t even need 45 minutes at each spot. To the company i would recommend a better detailed map of what each stop is about and what to do there. Where the stops are located on map, most tourist are out of service and cannot google maps everything so it was difficult finding wifi to find the next bus stop. Following with the time table, every 45 minutes.. we had to do the math at what time each bus would come from the first bus.. made it confusing. Not sure if this is just me but when i’m on a touring vacation i like the wake up early to get as much done as we can. First bus is at 10am, figured for a touring tour it would be earlier but that’s ok. Staff were very friendly so that’s good! just i guess the system of the tour wasn’t for us. Thank you lots

The bus tour didn’t turn out quite how we had hoped and I would warn anyone coming from Santa Monica to be aware that you only have time for one very short stop if you want to get a bus home on the same day. However, customer services were exemplary at dealing with the issue once I raised it.

Enjoyed the hop on hop off service. We were too lazy to walk around and didn't really know what to do. We usually like interactive activities so in Hollywood surrounding area seemed boring but wanted to visit at least once. The app is a must when you want to catch the bus for hopping on.

Great bus driver! Super caring.. the commentary which was pre recorded didn’t align up with the landmarks which made it funny at times. You kind of needed to guess where things were. Would have been nice to have the commentary in person.. but overall very informative.

The Tour allowed a good view of the Los Angeles area, with interesting and informative audio, in several languages. If you are doing the 2 routes, you will have little to no time to actually hop on and off, as they don't have too many buses, 1st tour starts at 10 and last leaves at 4 pm, and the frequency is every 45 minutes. We did the entire 2 routes (2 hours one, and almost 2 hours for the other after waiting for about 30 minutes for the second bus) and it was already 3 pm. Anyway, it was a worthwhile ride and activity. The Bus drivers were friendly, helpful and professional.

If you take this tour, get on at the main ticket area on Hollywood Blvd to make sure you get the right tour. I wanted a tour of celebrity homes. I asked the driver if my tour included celebrity homes, and was told it did, however it did not. I'm now being told my ticket didn't say celebrity tour so I can't get my money back. I had no idea what my ticket should say. I'm unable to speak with anyone via phone so I hope this is resolved via email and chat. Update: the company resolved the issue so I updated my review to 3 stars. However, I only recommend this is you get on early enough in the day to stop at the various drop off points. This isn't an actual "tour"

Very informative tour guide to ride with and view popular places, such as celebrity homes in the hills, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. There is no AC for passengers though!

This tour shows a lot of the spots in Hollywood that you would want to see as a tourist. They give you earbuds but they're not the greatest. They tend to short out so you might want to bring your own. Missed a few stops because they weren't viewable from where I was seated on the bus and by the time we got into view of them we were already passing them.

Commentary out of sync with bus location. Too many repeated facts. Buses do not keep to any form of timetable. I thought buses were supposed to have WiFi - not on any of my buses. Walking instructions to bus stops via App was almost none existant- needs improving.

Went on the Big bus Tour with Gary our driver today. 2 hours spent travelling all around LA looking at the stars houses and main points of interest. His knowledge and humour really made the trip. Gary also noticed I am a major petrol head and made things even more interesting testing my knowledge of luxury and supercars! A great trip with the family and well worth the outlay. Recommended.

Nice, quick tour of the hollywood city. I used it alongwith my family for one complete round and it was interesting to know the history of the area. The tour makes sure they cover all the popular must see points. However, i didnt use it to hop on or hop off. But I do recommend it to get a full tour atleast once in order to see the most. I gave one star less because the bus wasnt kept clean or cleaned before we got on, something that they can add to their service.

I liked the combo ticket as we did the Warner bros tour with the classic ticket. I wish they had a little more insight about what there was to do at each stop. The app was a really nice touch since it was difficult for buses to stay on the timetable due to traffic. I would definitely recommended getting the app so you’re not just waiting around for a bus which could take around 20 or so minutes.

Took two tours with them. Did the celebrity homes tour and had Mighty Mike and was 10/10. Special secret mission master. Someone on our tour wanted to see where Harry Styles lives and even though that wasnt on his normal route, he went out of his way to make that happen. He was so funny and made the entire tour enjoyable. Then the next day we did the double decker bus tour and it was soooo lame. It didnt have a real tour guide, only a recording. There also were not enough buses on the route and the wait time between buses was ridiculously long. We ended up ubering from one of the spots because it was so much faster and we were tired of waiting. But the bus was clean, and the driver was friendly. Needs real tour guide and more buses on the route for a 5 star rating.

Big Bus Tours are amazing. The pre-recorded guide is knowledgeable about the area and is very entertaining. We used Big Bus HOHO in Paris as well and it was equally satisfying. The only issue was the TCL Chinese Theater tour in LA. They did not seem to want to honor the voucher and we ended up missing the tour. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for this.

I took the tour in san francisco and everything was fine... until I got off the bus. I thought another bus would come in half an hour but one went in less than 2 minutes from my bus and another one would only pass in 1 hour or more. I had to pay another 40 uber dollars to be able to get to where the bus would be. Frustrating.

The bus tour was just ok. My group arrived early but the person accepting tickets did not let us know that we could board the bus right away. When we did get on the bus, we found that a large group of people had boarded the small bus and took up all of the seats and left to go to mcdonalds. They were all spread out to the point where they had individual seats, until passengers foreced them to move together. Boarding the bus was very unorganized. The driver was comical but we mostly saw celebrity homes covered by trees, you didnt really see much. We saw the hollywood sign, rodeo drive and a few other places but we could've done this ourselves. The bus is very small and uncomfortable. If you're sitting in the front, you definltely wont see much of anything. I wish we did a tmz tour instead.

The audio could use an update, and to tell you to look to your left or your right when trying to "point" things out to you. I do miss the days when this company always had a live guide giving the tours so you could ask questions and learn more about the city. Over all though, Big Bus is my go to your company no matter the city I am in.

We had a great time. Our tour guide Victoria was incredible. She was full of energy and info and even got the driver to slow down sometimes so we could get good views and photos of sights and landmarks. She would even scream out to crews to ask them what movie they were working on! The bus itself was also very useful to get around the city because you can't really walk to different areas in L.A. We even used the blue line to get to the beaches and back.

My exoerubcw with Big bus was AMAZING!!! My 15yo cousin took the tour with their mother and sister, and she forgot her cellphone and ID card in one of the buses. When she realised it, they all returned to the bus stop, but unfortunately the last bus had departed. However, we call the Bug bus number and they looked for the cellphone. My cousin was leaving Los Angeles the next day early in the morning, going to Las Vegas so they were running out of time to recover the items. Long story short, they traveled to Las Vegas, but the bus personnel found the phone and ID, they shipped those items to my cousin in Las Vegas, to the hotel, FREE OF CHARGE!!! (the shipping cost was $145 or so). Honestly, the beat customer service I ever heard of. Special thanks to Marie, who helped with the process since the very first call!!!

My sister and I wanted to see LA, but we really didn't know where to start. We decided to get tickets to the Big Bus Tour to see the town and kind of gauge what we would be interested in seeing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. We got there around 3 PM and I guess the buses only ride until 5 or 5:30 and the tour was for one day only. My biggest thing is that I wish they would have said something about only riding until 5 or 5:30 because we would have saved our tickets for the next day. We weren't able to hop on or hop off due to time restraints and we also weren't able to do the beach route. All in all, I think if you're new to LA and overwhelmed by how much there is to see, the Big Bus tour is a good place to start. Just a heads up for anyone who might be new to LA, this tour (and pretty much any other tour) does not offer a great view of the Hollywood sign. They do their best, but it's not accessible by road. Just a forewarning because I didn't realize how far away it was from the road. You should also plan to go to Griffith Observatory or Bronson Caves if you want to get a GOOD picture of the Hollywood sign. Hope this helps! :)

Not a bad tour!! My mom and I woke up early to catch the first bus out at 9:00 am. The bus was on time (early even) and our first guide was amazing! Ally was super funny and charismatic and threw out a lot of interesting facts. The tour guides are a little inconsistent, sometimes you’ll get an upbeat tour guide, sometimes you’ll get one that barely speaks. The route is pretty good, nice locations, you are able to hop on and off. Each route (red and blue) are about two hours each, so prepare for an all day experience. ****For those wondering: This tour does pass by the Hollywood sign, but it’s not the best view and goes by quickly. Our tour guide (unfortunately I don’t remember his name!) suggested a quick drive to Lake Hollywood Park. Wow! Perfect view of the sign and a great spot for pictures! Take a quick drive or uber/lyft there for some great photos. Overall we’re satisfied and enjoyed our tour.

My friend, my son, and I decided to make a Saturday out of this tour. We did the red line first from stop #1 back to stop #1 (a loop), not realizing that you can only catch the blue line from stop #6. The red line tour was extraordinarily boring. There was very little historical information or even interesting "Hollywood" information. Most of the facts were given were rather vague. We decided to take the blue line anyway, meaning we would have to travel all the way to stop #6 once again to catch it (and then take the journey from #7 all the way back to #1 to get back. An extra hour of travel for us). I'm glad we did though. The final leg on the blue line from Santa Monica back to stop #7 was great. Our guide, Rob, had a lot of really cool information and shared insights into Los Angeles that were enlightening. Having him on that final stretch of our trip made the rest of the day worth it. So, just be sure that if you're going to do the blue line as well, you do so from stop #6, then reconnect at #7 and finish the red line from there. And, if at all possible, choose the bus that Rob is guiding!

Most of the celebrities houses you go by you cant really see much of any of them really and the most popular ones you cant see at all. I was not happy with the tour equipment failure on the devices to hear the driver 80% of celebrities you probably wont know unless your 50 or older not to mention they leave you sitting in the sun until the bus fills up and the driver was behind schedule because of equipment failure so he drove to fast and didnt hardly even slow down enough for me to take pics ended up getting more than a few pics of the back of the seat

If you plan on staying on the bus the tour is pretty good. I liked the extra stories the tour guides would tell. However, if you plan on hopping off it can take a while for the bus to come back. They say every half hour but we waited an hour at one of the stops. Very annoying and not what we paid for.

I really enjoyed my trip. The employees are very comical. I got on board near the Dolby Threatre and the Bus takes you all over LA. I only brought a one day ticket and I'm kicking myself that I should have gotten the two day because I had a Paramount Tour at Noon. This tour was 2.5 hours and I was exhausted afterwards and didn't want to sightsee anymore. I want to do the blue route but didn't have enough time.

Great value through Groupon. We hopped on/off from beginning to end. All the guides except one were great! There is one who spoke more about their personal life than the sights on the tour. The app to track buses "in real time" is a little confusing. It would be a lot easier to figure out if you just put a bus on the map instead of making the "we just updated" beacon flash, then the rider having to touch the location to get a status on a bus. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET A/C ON YOUR BUSES. We were forced to sit on the upper level for every ride because the cabins were like ovens. Every single driver said the A/C was broken. We were on at least 4 different buses. I gave 4 stars for the value of the bus route saving us a lot of driving, and for the (mostly) great tour guides. It would be 2 stars had I not found the Groupon deal. There are several opportunities for improvement.

Great tour of LA by double decker bus. Our tour guide, Lily, was extremely nice and helpful and sat or stood in front of us almost the entire time so I could interpret what she was saying along the trip. (I was with a little girl who is both deaf and autistic.) Definitely would recommend!

I would have given 5 stars but the stop on Washington (Marina Del Rey) we got to the pick up location and we had no idea where to stand. More signs would be nice! This tour did what it says. A few things: 1) it's a pity that they don't go to downtown LA and Koreatown 2) some of the routes are the same as the Hollywood minivan tours. Overall still a pleasant experience. I got on the last Blue Bus and there was a Red Bus waiting to pick me up. I just wished it covered more ground so I could learn and see more.

This is a must to see the city without the walking. The tour guides are knowledgeable and showed ace spots such as the freeway OJ Simpson was on when he drove his white suv. Also the tower from Die Hard. One huge tip... We booked the same day as the Oscars and disappointingly, they didn't run the tour and we had no notice they cancelled. We waited with our children for ages before giving up. We did the Blue line from Santa Monica and it was great.

We had a wonderful driver on our tour on Tuesday October 29th his name was Gary - he was not only an excellent driver on the winding roads of Mulholland Drive but extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. Gary made this tour very enjoyable with his humor - various stories about celebrities homes etc etc - I had a relative visiting from Indiana and she was thrilled with the tour and with our driver/guide - we will definitely go again when other friends and family come to visit - just hope we are lucky enough to get Gary. It wasn’t as I expected. Their was an issue with a passenger which caused the bus to stop. Police were threatened to get called. I believe the bus chauffeur could have handled things differently. Also it was very quick and not informative for 50$. They made very brief stops(60 seconds) asking if anyone wanted to get off but they didn’t give you time to gather your crew to leave off the bus. It could have been better I’m willing to give them another try when I return to LA

Very convenient that you could jump on and off at stops. But I feel we were taken advantage of as out of towners. We were told that the cost for 2 riders was $100. But when we checked our slip they charged us $150. When we confronted them later in the day. They acted like there was no way it could of happened until we showed them the receipt. I purchased a 50% off coupon from Groupon which saved me $25 (cost online was $50) so it was definitely worth it! Pros: clean bus, friendly staff at starting point #1, bus was always only 10 mins away from a stop and we never waited long! App was helpful too. Cons: really, just the tour-guides and the fact that there was no AC on the bus (and it was HOT!). Our first tour-guide (Lauren) wasn't great and didn't give us much insight to the area/history but rather pointed out wealthy car dealerships and sites where famous people went, etc.; second guide was better (older guy but we never got his name) but, he also told us all about 'his' personal life in LA; the bus driver (Glenda) was rude and very unfriendly (she clearly hated her job AND she passed up a stop because no one on our bus was getting off even though there were people there waiting to get on the bus!). The red line never took you to see the Hollywood sign - you saw it from a VERY far distance. Tips: buy the coupon from Groupon; rent a car and go to Griffith Observatory to see the Hollywood sign; sit on top where there's a breeze. Otherwise, it's def worth the $25!

Make sure you have enough time to explore most of the LA and Santa Monica stops before purchasing tickets. I typically love BigBus but was unimpressed with BigBus LA. The schedule is not synced and tales like 30 to 40mins for each bus to arrive. LA and Santa Monica area is so big its difficult to walk between stops you want to go to. Service is from 9 to 4 and with extreme lapses between the LA and Santa Monica lines we ended up taking an uber not to waste time waiting for the bus.

(Translation) Great bus tour if you only have 1 day to explore LA. This tour does require some preparation as the bus departs every 45 minutes. My recommendation would be to get on the red line at Hollywood Boulevard, change to the blue line at Beverly Hills, and then get off the bus at Santa Monica Pier two hours away. Then you can go back to Beverly Hills from there and do the remaining 1.5 hours of the Red Line. Then the day is about over and you can eat something on Hollywood Boulevard. Furthermore, the audio tour was fine, but many stories were told several times. (Original) Prima bustour als je maar 1 dag de tijd hebt om LA te verkennen. Deze tour vergt wel wat voorbereidingen, omdat de bus om de 45 minuten vertrekt. Mijn aanrader zou zijn om op Hollywood Boulevard op te stappen op de rode lijn, bij Beverly Hills overstappen op de blauwe lijn en vervolgens bij Santa Monica Pier twee uurtjes van de bus te gaan. Vervolgens kun je vanuit daar weer terug naar Beverly Hills gaan en de resterende 1,5 uur van de rode lijn te doen. Dan is de dag ongeveer voorbij en kun je op Hollywood Boulevard wat eten. Verder was de audiotour prima, maar werden veel verhalen wel meerdere keren verteld.

Wenn man das alles mit Mietwagen erkunden würde ,wäre man allein mit den Horror Parkpreisen in den Metropolen fast beim gleichen Preis.
