My family and I did the Grand Rapids Ghost Tour. Our guide was very flexible with us and offered to extend our tour time due to many of us being late, it was very kind and understanding of her and definitely not something she had to do! She was very knowlegable and was not phased by the cold winter weather we were hit with.

Recognize this guy? I've walked/driven by often and never noticed him before, standing guard above Monroe Center, until the Tours Around Michigan ghost tour. Visitor, newcomer or lifelong resident, you will learn SO much on this, or any of TAM's tours. Guide Candice is the best! She seems to know EVERYTHING GR and if there's something she doesn't know, she's sure to find out. Now everyone in the city is eager to tell Candice about their ghostly encounters - and she's excited to share them with her tourists. Candice is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. The ghost tour mixed Grand Rapids history, art and of course ghost stories beautifully! You can tell Candice loves her job just by the amount of care and effort she puts into each tour! She’s constantly learning new stories and incorporating them into the tour to keep it fresh and new. I took my boyfriend on a ghost tour for his birthday and Candice was our tour guide. She did a great job at explaining various ghost stories in detail with enthusiasm/ made the tour very interesting! I also liked being able to explore more of GR while on the tour.

Hubby & I took the Ghost Tour. It was well worth it! We enjoyed the history, interesting local stories & exercise. I highly recommend looking at all the older buildings as you walk along with the tour too. There is some pretty spectacular architecture that is easily missed by car. The ghost stories include history about the area and/or building. It's a nice easy walk, even on the super hot day we chose. Candace is knowledgeable, fun and friendly, a great tour guide! Folks on our tour were familiar with Grand Rapids history (we are too) or new to the area. We all learned new things! It's a unique experience that is definitely a "must-do".

We loved the ghost tour! Candice did a great job combining the city’s history with the stories of ghost sitings. As residents it was fun to learn more about the city and we have already walked back by some of the buildings Candice covered. A fun night!

This was one of the BEST tours we have ever taken, and the primary reason for this is because of our tour guide Candice. I cannot begin to explain how excellent she is!! I have never been to Grand Rapids, and was traveling with two 15 year old girls. We thought it would be fun to experience this ghost tour, but Candice went above and beyond our expectations. She text me the night before, giving exact directions to where to meet her and our expectations for the day. When we arrived, she instantly connected with my girls, even giving high school and college admission tips for success. Then as we started our tour, she gave the girls a fun description of two dolls that are named after two ghosts we would learn about during the tour, and allowed them to hold on to one as we travelled around. Her tour is extremely detailed, and not just about ghosts. She gave us in depth history of the city, the beauty behind many of the structures, art schools, small businesses, and much more. The ghost stories are fun and explained exceptionally well, and she definitely kept us all involved and interested. She allowed us to stop in some local shops, gave tips on dining, coffee, art, and shopping for our weekend. She spent almost an hour more than we had expected and never rushed us or made us feel like she wasn't having as much fun as we were. And then to top off an already great experience, Candice text me that evening with pictures she took of me taking pictures of my girls, saying that she didn't have many pics of her and her girls when they grew up bc she was always behind the camera, and sent some great shots of me taking pics of my girls. That was a gesture that just took me away, not many people would be so thoughtful. I am extremely happy we took this tour and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that is in the Grand Rapids area. Thank you Candice for going above and beyond our expectations. I look forward to returning and seeing you again one day!

My husband found the Grand Rapids Ghost Tour on Facebook and it was a perfect part of our date night! We were able to book it the same day too. Candice was punctual, very knowledgeable, and she just made the tour so much fun! She was upbeat, smiling constantly and made sure to accommodate everyone in the group. My husband and I both learned so much history about Grand Rapids, as well as many super cool ghost stories about buildings downtown. We will definitely be doing another tour soon, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

We booked the evening ghost tour with Candice and we had so much fun! Candice is so knowledgeable about the city (paranormal and otherwise) and you can tell that she is passionate about what she does. We live in Grand Rapids but we learned so many new things about the city. The tour was well worth the cost and was a great socially distanced activity. The ghost walking tour in downtown Grand Rapids was entertaining and spellbinding; no pun intended. It was a wonderful mix of history, education and urban legends that lends to the rich legacy of Grand Rapids. Candice provided a nicely paced, intrigue filled narrative on a relaxing stroll in the evening. I plan on coming back for arts and historical walking tour.

If you are looking for fall activities that are both safe and fun, I recommend Tours Around Michigan. My wife and I took the Grand Rapids Ghost Tour earlier this week and it was great. Candice guided us to specific sites/buildings and then gave us the spooky details both past and present. The best part, for me, was how it connected me with the history of Grand Rapids. I could literally envision downtown during different eras. Crazy things happened back then, and still do! Be sure to wear warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes, but don't miss out! Book your tour while it's still the season of the witch.

Went on the walking ghost tour of Grand Rapids and it was incredible. Went as part of a bachelorette group and the guide was so nice! Loved learning more about the history of Grand Rapids and the sighting during the tour as well as getting to meet the dolls! Tour guide was super helpful and insightful, would highly recommend going on this tour!!

Our tour with Candice began on the bank of the Grand River as she gave the history of the river, the Native American presence as we overlooked the burial mounds in the park. She led us on a walking tour of Grand Rapids, while providing interesting architectural, historical and stories of ghostly characters. Candice has obviously done her homework investigating the shadowy characters and has gathered first hand accounts from current employees in many of the buildings. We will absolutely be taking another tour from Tours around Michigan !

We were visiting Michigan from Connecticut for a long weekend and we usually try to do walking tours in every city we visit, and we are so glad we found Tours Around Michigan for the City Tour! Candice was a great tour guide and story teller. The tour was about 90 minutes and jam packed with Grand Rapids history. It was a very enjoyable way to start off our trip, would definitely recommend. We wish we had time to do the ghost tour!

A great Ghost Tour of downtown GR! Candice was personable, knowledgeable about GR in general and sure knows her paranormal stuff. A fun 'date-night' activity to be outside, walking the streets of downtown and learning about the Eerie history of many buildings.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to see in Grand Rapids or Holland, but Candice knew all the must-see's and experiences around town. She set up a day in Holland for us that took me to little out-of-the-way places I would have never discovered on my own. We tried great food and got recommendations of more places to see and eat while we were there. Candice knows everything about Grand Rapids and the Heritage Hill neighborhood. We wandered through the streets admiring street art that was part of an Art Prize contest. We also heard ghost stories about some of the most iconic buildings downtown. The gruesome story of the ghosts who were asphyxiated after a quarrel was such a chilling story. As was the demise of the Pecks. Candice was a great tour guide. Her passion for the Grand Rapids area comes through every step of the way. :)

Participated in the ghost tour with Candice. Her knowledge of Grand Rapids history was very entertaining. Having lived in GR for thirty years, I learned more about the city than I ever thought possible! I had no idea that GR was basically built on Native American burial grounds. Also never knew that GR was home to a former mobster! Both my Son and I enjoyed the history lesson and found the stories of spirits that exist in buildings around GR to be fascinating. This is a very good way to actually see GR. Having lived here for as long as I have, I enjoyed seeing the city thru Candice’s eyes as I learned things about the city that I did not know!

Our tour guide/owner Candice was so knowledgible, personable, and entertaining that the time flew. However she was such a great story teller that I was still retelling her stories a day later to my friends ( who are now going to go on the tour!!). Walking right up to the places where the ghost sightings occured and hearing the details made the whole experience 10 times better than just reading about it somewhere in print :) You can tell that she has researched and fact checked these ghost sightings before sharing them on her tour. All in all, it was the BEST experience that has stayed with me and changed the way I look at our City !!
