For a fun outing with your adult family and friends (ages 21+) you NEED to take a ride on the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser! Trips vary in length, with several routes available in and around the downtown Grand Rapids, MI area. Some courses are more challenging than others based on hills and total distance, but that is largely up to you. The bike is a moving bar and you are allowed to bring your own canned beverages or other snacks. They provide water in the cost of rental. Each bike (there are two) comes with a portable cooler - so be sure your beverages are already chilled. Peddling is fun and you WILL work up a sweat! While each bike can accommodate up to 16 people, only 10 of the positions have peddles for locomotion. A driver will handle steering and braking, but you and your team provide the power. The bikes break into "peddle-assist" mode for inclines, so no need to worry about going up hills (you still need to peddle, mind you). The start/end point is just north of downtown Grand Rapids in a reasonably section east of the Grand River, which you will be thankful for on the return trip. There is no parking lot, but street-level parking is available in both metered and unmetered spaces. There are also several pay-lots near-by if street parking is full. Depending on the length of your tour, you get to stop at a couple (or more) local breweries - they apparently have some sort if deal going on as the Driver will escort your team in and work out some arrangement for quick service. The Driver will also stay with the bike to keep your onboard possessions secure. You can also bring your own music to plug into the sound system, which will greatly affect the experience - I recommend something upbeat. While this experience is a little pricey, it's not too bad when you break it out per person, coming in around $25 if you have a full load for a 2-hour trip. Longer routes will bump that number up. There are deals here and there, and the cruiser runs rain or shine. Once you place your order though, the cancellation policy is pretty restrictive, so be sure you are going to make it before committing.

So we had a thunder storm during our tour but, Andrew our guide made the best of the situation and he was still able to make a fantastic experience. The owners were very nice and were able to refund us for the time we missed out on. 5/5 would recommend.

We had an absolute blast on our sunday funday 3 hour tour! Ruth was an amazing driver and she took care of all of our requests! We are definitely going to ride again. The added bonus of being able to drink while pedaling was fantastic too! We wish we could have pedaled longer!

My group and I loved our experience with Great Lakes Pub Cruiser. The staff is so nice and have a good sense of humor as well which made our ride that much better. We did the 3 hour ride, which was a while and at the end we were sad it was over and could've gone longer. The bike is clean and comfortable to ride on. I'm sure we will be booking again sometime, thank you!

Very happy with my experience with Great Lakes Pub Cruiser. We celebrated a friend's 30th birthday with a two hour tour and had an amazing time. Our tour guide was fun and helped keep us all motivated to keep peddling. Will definitely be booking with them again!

First time riding last night. It was a very fun tour. I am not athletic and had no issues keeping up with peddling. I do wish the seats had more padding though. BYOB and music and enjoy GR in a cool way.

Such a fun experience! You can bring your own beer and hook up to the Bluetooth speaker so you can DJ your trip. There's 3 stops you make! The seats are adjustable so you can reach the pedals lol

This was a great experience! I went for one of my friends' bachelorette parties and we had a blast. Ruth, the guide, was so fun and made the trip so well worth it! My only complaint was that the seats are really hard and my butt hurt for days afterwards, otherwise everything was fantastic!

What a fun time with our host Laurie! The Pedal Pub is fully outfitted to ride even during these times of social isolation, with plexiglass and sanitizing between tours. It was the best time I've had this year, if only to ride along, singing and laughing with friends, with plexiglass keeping contact to a minimum. I noticed a negative review for not getting a refund for COVID, and there is no need, get out and enjoy the fresh air on the pedal pub with friends and loved ones! I can't wait to ride again. :)
