Reviews of Bobby's Bike Hike - Chicago Bike, Walking & Food Tours
Kim Leaverton
Great way to get an overview of Chicago food & downtown! Our guide Gabe was the perfect balance of engaging & informative. He was pleasant and seemed to enjoy leading our tour. He has great knowledge of Chicago, not just the tour points. He was fun without any of the corny jokes that sometimes come on these types of tours. The food stops were delicious and a perfect overview of the famous Chicago foods. We added the beer, which I recommend, even not being a big beer drinker. Highly recommend taking this tour!

Brooke was an amazing tour guide for the favorite foods of Chicago walking tour. She allotted for stops along the way to share some history, take pics, and look at the amazing architecture and landscape. She took the time to know our names and provided great recommendations. She checked and double checked any dietary restrictions. We made four food stops and several stops in between for the scenery. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes! Also…it’s a lot of food for one so we brought ziplock bags…I know I know super touristy but we are slow eaters and again it was a lot of food!!! Absolutely worth it! I highly recommend this tour and I would definitely do another tour with Brooke!

The Chicago Favorites Food & Walking Tour was a good time, and Gabe, our tour guide was really entertaining and knowledgeable! Would totally do this again, it was a great way to try Chicago favorites, without waiting, while learning some food history! Chefs kiss! Wish I had snagged pics of the delicious food, but here are some from the walk.

My son (10 years old) and I went on the 9:30am tour and had an amazing time. Aside from it being an unseasonably cool day (high in the mid 70s), our guide Lou was knowledgable and friendly, and we felt like we were in "good hands" the whole time. He did a lovely job making sure we were safe and having a good time. I highly recommend Bobby's Bike Hike...AND asking for Lou as your guide! :)

We chose the Chinatown Walking Tour and it was great!! York was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the people and buildings in Chinatown. The food and drinks were great! The amount of walking was an easy amount and gave a nice break in between each restaurants.
Blake Buscherfeld
Fantastic tour! The food was great and Dylan was an amazing tour guide! We learned so much about the history of Chicago as well as the history of the foods we were trying. We also got a ton of great recommendations on other food and sites to visit in the city. I'm definitely going to go on one of their other tours that they offer while we're still in Chicago (Chinatown food tour 🤤)!

This was what felt like my 100th trip to Chicago, but I never get to see everything I want to on foot alone. Took the Ultimate City Bike Tour from Bobby’s. The tour allowed us to get outside and bike all around downtown and the lakeshore. It was historically informative and I got to see things I’d never seen before (Northerly Island specifically, which completely made the trek) and we got some good exercise. Rory was our tour guide and she was amazing! Would do it again and maybe try another of their bike tours too. I haven’t ridden my bike in years, but the pace and physical activity were no issue. Inspired to get back on my own bike now!
Amber Halliburton
What an amazing experience! I attended the Chinatown tour with my 8 and 10 year old kids. Jeff was our guide. This tour was amazing- guide, tour, info, food, and company. We tried so many new foods and saw things we never would have without the tour. It also gave me the confidence to stay and explore even after the tour had ended.
Haris Qureshi
Great experience, Bobby and the team were great to deal with, and Paul was a very nice and informative tour guide. He made sure we were safe the whole trip with the wetter weather conditions, took great photos of our group, and had great information about the history of Chicago… couldn’t have had a better experience 😄 …
Jay Exiomo
I joined a biking tour led by Bobby’s Bike Hike. Having explored the central part of Chicago, I wanted to see the relatively less explored parts of the city, so I joined the Lakeside Neighborhoods Bike Tour. Our group was led by York, who was entertaining, informative, and really helpful as a guide. I learned so much about Chicago’s northern neighborhoods while enjoying the views and without having to worry for my safety.
glenda walker
Had so much fun touring different types of restaurants and bars, food and drinks were great and a nice variety. Got to learn so much history and see so much art!!! Even made friends along the way! Tour guide was Alan, very impressed. Favorite was house of mac Jerk chicken mac n cheese. Great way to spend the day!
Mike Hendry
Tour was awesome! My fiancee, her kids and mine had the best time. Chicago is amazing and so was Gabe our guide. Super friendly, knowlegable and fun to talk to. Great guy! Great, food, great city awesome tour.
Kristin Kunik
Josie was a great tour guid! She was friendly and made sure to know everyone’s names. Hee energy level and enthusiasm for Chicago was perfect. The food selection was great! We had a fun and friendly group making the experience even better.
Raynie Gibbs
We had a wonderful time with Justin on the Chicago's Favorites Ultimate Food and Walking Tour! He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and found the shadiest routes for maximum comfort. The food was a great way to experience all the must tastes of Chicago in one afternoon. Would whole heartedly recommend!
Alex Zamayoa
Excellent place to tour the city. The bikes are in good shape and the staff are very friendly. The place is behind the 540 building, it’s easy to missed. You have to go through the parking lot, and you get there.
Sonia Berriz
We took two tours - a bike tour through Chicago and a walking tour through Chinatown. They were both amazing. If you have only time for one thing in Chicago check Bobby's out. It was fantastic to see so much and taste such a variety.
Abe Usher
Jeff was a great bike tour leader! He helped us learn about the history of Chicago, and enjoy seeing the city on bikes :)
Also we appreciated the vegetarian options Jeff presented at each of the food stops.
Highly recommended!
Iysha Dawson
We enjoyed Justin's personality and knowledge of the city. He was very funny and polite. If coming to town- you must take the food/walking tour with them- ? costly but well worth it👍🏽 …

Had a wonderful experiences renting a bike from Bobby’s Bike Hike during the Fifth Third Bike the Drive, September 3-4. Although the bike I originally order was not available due to damage from a previous driver I was able to obtain a comparable road bike that was great during the ride on September 4. The folks I encountered at Bobby’s were friendly, helpful and professional. I will definitely use their services the next time I am in Chicago.
Meredith Tunison
We had a wonderful time on the Chinatown food and culture tour with Jeff "Chicago Gandalf" as our guide! Dim sum at a Michelin star restaurant to kick it off, followed by culinary delights from Szechuan, Shaanxi, Portuguese, and Cantonese influences! It was just us two and Jeff, and he made it such a lovely night for us. Jeff was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and welcoming. We ordered the boba tea on Jeff's recommendation (not included in our tour) and it was fantastic too. He took us through New and Old Chinatown and even corrected my Chinese astrological year. Tiger to fellow tiger, I appreciated that. We were so full of history, culture, and food by the end of the 3 hours. A great experience!
Jennifer Russell
My husband and I took the China Town food and culture tour with Jeff, and it was amazing! The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed the history and information shared during the tour. We would highly recommend it to anyone, and we have definitely found some delicious places to come back to the next time we're in Chicago!
Bernice Bakley
We live in Illinois but don't get to Chicago that often. I wanted to spend time with my family while enjoying the city during the holiday season. This was a great experience. The food and drinks were awesome as well as the pace of the walking, we had a great time!
brian salomons
There are bike tours, then there are bike tours with Josie as your guide.
Our family visited Chicago, and one of our favorite things to do when visiting a new city, is to take the bike tours.
We lucked out and were the only ones to book the later time slot, and ended up with Josie as our guide.
Not only did she show us some really neat sights and teach us some really fun facts about the city, she catered to our kids and got to know us on a personal level.
We completely recommend this company! And I'm sure that all the guides are great, but definitely suggest asking for Josie.
Josie, I hope you get to see this. You are a wonderful person inside and out. Your outgoing personality and love for your city was evident every moment of our tour. We wish you all success in every endeavor you pursue.
Thank you so much for a memorable time!
Bill Neely
Nate Jenkins did a great job in our Bikes, Bites, and Beer ride. Nate was a very knowledgeable and a safe guide, even changed one flat. Lou Maltnati’s, The Weiners Circle, Bittersweet, and beer at Wrigley Field. Bikes are well maintained and, easy to ride and pretty comfortable. Finished with a long leg along Lake Michigan.
Jay Kang
It was an awesome experience! We tried the bikes, bites, and brews and we had Rya as our guide. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable when it comes the to Chicago city and history. Its definiately something worth trying when its your first time out in Chicago and you get to experience the city's beauty, learn some history and culture as well as try the local foods and beers. I would definiately try again when im out in Chicago.
Kari Kos
It was a great way to experience the Chicago classic’s. Our guide was fun and the made the experience easy and entertaining. My only issue was the directions for the meeting spot were different then where the tour starts which made it a tad confusing.
Marion Mensay
Janine was an amazing tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about the city, the history and the culture. Her friendly and funny demeanor made the tour very enjoyable. Not only did she answer all of our questions about the city, but she also gave helpful tips and recommendations on how to get around the city safely and other good attractions to see. If you are a first timer to Chicago, this is a great tour to taste the different foods Chicago is known for while also getting some good exercise.
Chelsea Gilchrist
The food and walking tour was one of the true highlights of my trip to Chicago. It was one of the first things we did during our vacation and gave us such a good basis for the rest of our visit. Our guide, Josie, was funny, knowledgeable and really great at taking us through the experience of the foods we tried. I loved all the food spots we hit up and I loved the talking points- learnt so much and did not go away hungry!!! This experience is a must for anyone visiting chicago in my opinion.
Michael Tuttle
Julia was amazing! We did the bikes, bites and brews tour and it didn’t disappoint. We had a great tour with some iconic stops. Julia also took the time to show us some local spots. She went out of her way to order us local food and drinks which kept it easy for us to just enjoy this amazing city. My wife and I highly recommend this tour! Don’t forget to ask for Julia as she has a great personality and a vast knowledge of Chicago.
Lindsay Mikita
We went on the Chinatown food tour with Jeff this weekend and had a great time! I learned so much about the history of the Chinese coming to America and settling here. Perfect amount of walking, talking, and eating. It was great to just show up at a restaurant and have the food ready for us. Highly recommend!
Clay Barnett
Had the absolute BEST DAY in Chicago thanks to Brooke our guide. She had a great energy, helped everyone feel welcome, and ensured everyone had a great time.
We did the bikes, brews, and bites tour. Do it!
Brendan Youngquist
The Chinatown walking tour was fantastic. You'll experience hidden gems with fascinating historical context, in the care of a sharp and personable tour guide. Our guide was Jeff (aka "Chicago Gandalf"). He is knowledgeable, insightful, and down-to-earth———he clearly lives his life looking for the hidden meanings in things, and he very much brought this inquisitive spirit to our tour. I have been going to Chinatown all my life, and have even been to China, and I still walked away from Jeff's tour with many historical and cultural insights completely new to me, which have enriched my appreciation of Chinese-American culture. Plus, the food was excellent, and our group had many good laughs. Jeff and Bobby's Bike Hike know how to make a well-rounded, highly-enjoyable experience. Five stars!
Reina Takamura
My husband and I booked this tour spontaneously for our wedding anniversary stay in chicago. We both love Asian cuisine and this didn’t disappoint. We were so full after the tour. Come hungry! We were so lucky to have York who guided us through our food tour. Not only is York knowledgeable about Chinese cuisine and history, but his own personal story and journey made the food tour that much more admirable. We enjoyed the China town food tour very much and we’re still talking about how cool this experience was. Thanks York!
Vedang Manerikar
Josie was our guide and she did an _amazing_ job! It was such an energizing, happy experience! Also, I can't believe I waited this long to try the deep dish pizza and the Chicago dog. They were delicious. All the food / drinks in this tour were top notch, and Josie enthralled us with stories of food origins.
My group was excellent as well, we all had a blast!
The tour is expensive, but completely worth it. Highly recommended.
(PS: Josie's Mom, I hope you are reading this! 😁😁)
Dan D
We had a great time on the bike and food tour. It allows you to see a lot of the city, learn about Chicago history, and great food. Brook was a great guide! An issue came up with my bike and she was able to fix it right away. She also knew all her stuff really well and was super friendly. Great tour
Matthew Burns
Easy to find location right next to the Lakeshore Bike Path on Lake Michigan. The staff here were helpful, knowledgable, and helpful. They also customized the rented bikes to each customer's requests. Nice!
Diane Hardy
Had a great Saturday night family bike and good tour with Joe! This was a great way to see the city and try some great local food and beverages! Highly recommend for families, couples or even something to do by yourself while in town.
Jocelyn Johnson
We did the Bikes and Bites bike tour. Literally the best way to tour Chicago. Our tour guide was Julia. She was so knowledgeable, funny, and such a ball of fun energy. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Melissa Hilal
We have visited Chicago and most of the usual tourist spots many times. We wanted to try something a little different and selected this tour. Dylan was an enthusiastic guide and the stops were all excellent choices. Appropriate amount of time at each stop and the food was delicious. My teenager and I really enjoyed this tour!
Courtney Liddell
We had a spectacular time on this tour with our guide Josie! She was THE BEST guide we could have asked for, above and beyond our expectations! The food and beer choices were amazing! We loved all the scenery while getting some exercise and especially hanging out in Wrigleyville! We ended our tour with a jump in the lake because it was pretty hot, so that was the cherry on top! Highly recommend this tour!! Thank you again Josie!
Graysen Othman
Had a tour with York today, it was one of the best things I’ve done in Chicago. I’m a local so having deep dish and hot dogs have become normal but being able to tour the city and enjoy those things was such an amazing combo. I don’t drink either and they were able to accommodate me with awesome craft sodas. I will be 100% recommending and definitely will return again soon.
Eleanor Moriarty
Great 3 hour tour at the perfect pace for young and old alike. Gabe was an awesome guide and shared not only the “facts” at each iconic location, but also had many additional details and interesting tidbits of information to add. He was very entertaining as well. We would request him again if we are able to come back for another tour!
Joan Sullivan
Although the weather was rainy for our walking tour, Anna made the best of the situation. She was funny, informative, and the food stops were great. There is a lot of food to consume so you need to be sure to "pace" yourself. Anna tried to let us know the directions prior to leading the group, I think since it was raining. Anna gave great information. I had never been to Chicago so I learned a lot. I also laughed a lot even with the rain! Great tour.
Mark Burbridge
Had a great Bites Bikes and Brews tour. I felt safe on the roads and enjoyed the sights and food stops. Brook made the tour very enjoyable and was passionate about the city and it’s food. I’ve never done a bike tour before but would recommend it strongly for anybody wanting to catch a bit of the city and a good portion of the lakeside trail.
John Cate
Dillon was awesome ! Fantastic food tour with a lot of added history.we went to places we would have never been if not for Dillon. Highly recommended!
Kathleen Beaudoin
Having been to Chicago many times, we were looking for something new & different to do. We decided to try a Bobby’s Bike Hike Tour, it did not disappoint! Our guide, Lou, was fun, friendly and informative! We saw so many different parts of the city we’ve never seen before, learned some interesting facts and enjoyed some delicious tastings along the way!! It was a great time!!
Yale Levy
Great afternoon fun in Chicago. Josie was unbelievable and her depth of knowledge on Chicago was amazing. Would 100% recommend the Bike Food Tour and Josie!??
Deborah
Greatest way of sightseeing Chicago. Our tourguide Paul was just magnificent. I love traveling and biking, so mixing both of my hobbies was one of the best experiences ever. Took the bikes, bites, and brews experience and had so much fun...plus the beers and food were delicious. Also Paul took some pictures and they were just amazing. I totally recommend this!
James Crocker
Excellent way to see parts of Chicago that are slightly off the beaten track. Well organised by great hosts - one of our favourite memories of the trip.
Azin Nour
We had a short stay in Chicago and this tour was the best way to see around the city.
If you have a choice to take the tour with Rory, I strongly recommend to get her as your guide. Very knowledgeable about the city, good leader for the tour so anyone in any level enjoyed the tour.
Lucie Douma
I did a 4 hour bike and food tour with our guide, Josie, she was amazing! She explained all of Chicagos history using stories and looked after the group so well! The whole group had a fantastic time with Josie, I would definitely recommend this tour if you have a few hours spare and want to see some highlights of Chicago.
Paul Smith
A tour package company booked this tour for my wife and me. We are sheltered nerds who rarely leave the comfort of our laptop screens. but Janine was very friendly and talked to every one on the tour. She memorized all 19 of our names. She hit us with enough Chicago history to help us answer random Jeopardy questions
We covered all the major Chicago foods groups of deep dish, Italian beef, and a hot dog buried in enough vegetables to trigger your teenage daughter. If I stayed here longer, I would do more tours with these guys.
We started hungry, and left laughing and full. Right back to our laptops.
Ann Rousseff
Our guide York, btw born in China, gave us many insides from this Chicago place called China Town. I tested different food and some drinks, and enjoyed our sunny October day in China Town Chicago.
Izzy M
We did the Foodtour of Chinatown with our guide Dylan, we had a fantastic time and tasted some amazing food. Dylan did a great job telling us not only about the food, but also about the restaurants their history and their chefs. He gave us information on Chinatown and was happy to answer any questions we had as the tour went on! We left very full, highly recommend! The food was delicious!
Carolene Méli
It was my first time in Chicago and had a great time on this tour. Delicious food and loved biking around the city, especially next to the water. Brooke was an amazing guide!!! Her storytelling skills are pretty epic.
Darren Brackin
Jeff the tour guid was awesome! Gave us historical facts about Chicago and also sprinkled in his own personal experiences with his city. He kept us engaged and safe. Extremely fun and will definitely do one of the other tours asking for Jeff specifically when we come back to Chicago.
sarah oostenbrug
Amazing tour!!! Highly recommend, not to physically demanding, with just enough stops along the way. The stop points are great and get to learn so much about Chicago with great food! Tour guide Brian was a blast, super friendly and a good tour guide.
valeria morales
I booked the bike, brew and food tour for my husbands birthday weekend. Jeff was our tour guide and he was awesome. We could tell he loves what he does because he was having a great time so we had a great time. Will definitely recommend and will ask for Jeff the next time we come back to visit. Thank you Jeff such a fun informative day we learned so much about Chicago!
Daniel Caballeros
My boyfriend and I took the Food and Walking Tour, and I am going to share this with all of my friends who are visiting Chicago. Our tour guide, Janine (J-9!) was AMAZING! She was knowledgeable , quirky, and, made the trip very enjoyable. We had a blast, we learned a lot, and the food was delicious.
Jinghan Chen
The overall bike rental experience was great! I reserved my road bike two days in advance online and basically came and picked my ready-to-go bike with the right size and the type of pedal I want. The early morning line could be long and there was only one person serving the line.
brianna Petras
We were family and friends group of 16 and we had a greatest time. Though we live in Chicago suburbs it’s nice when somebody organizes your day, we just have to show up and all it’s taking care off. Super organized, fun, family friendly trip. Special thank you to guide Paul.
Len Jr.
Teamed up with three other groups for a Chinatown food tour during -25 wind chill. What an amazing experience despite the cold! It was informative, delicious, and a great way to meet nice people while traveling. Thanks Jeff for guiding our adventure!!
Kateryna K
Did the Bikes, Bites and Brews tour with Josie Wednesday (hope I got her name right, otherwise it’s Larry haha)
She was great! Energetic, knowledgeable, careful. She tried really hard with our group even though we were giving her nothing haha Great quick way to see the main sights, some views we may not have otherwise walked to, try Chicago staples from family-owned places and learn lots of curious little history nuggets along the way.
Leslie Herrera
This is an EXCEPTIONAL tour when you only have one day to tour the city. This tour included, food, beer, history, and essential Chicago attractions that kept us wanting more and more. The deep dish pizza and the beef sandwich were mouthwatering; SOOOOO GOOD! The hotdog was good too, but had a lot of toppings I don’t normally eat with my hotdogs. Nevertheless, all food items and beer choices were great! Paul was an outstanding guide who was extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny, and experienced! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Brenda Millender
Our Food and Walking Tour was great. I can not say enough about our guide Josie!!!! She was so energetic and knowledgeable. She made sure everyone was taken care of and kept us on track. Josie gets a. A+
Carolyn Haney
Our guide York is the best! While we live in Chicago, we hadn’t spent much time in Chinatown - this tour allowed us to try new food, at new places, while getting a good mix of general knowledge + personal anecdotes from York about his experiences as a Chinese American that we were privileged to hear. We can’t recommend highly enough!!
Mark Ochoa
My S/O and I did the Chinatown Walking Food and Culture Tour and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Our guide York was amazing, and all 5 places we stopped had excellent food. I am not a huge fan of the egg yolk cakes we had at the last dessert spot, but overall I would totally take this tour again!
Melissa
Chicago’s Best Food and Walking Tour was fantastic. Food and beer tastings were amazing and our tour guide Dylan was very versed on Chicago’s history. Would definitely recommend taking this tour!

Amazing tour with amazing food. Our tour guide Brooke was super knowledgeable and had a great personality. I would book this again on future visits to Chicago.
Bryn Muller
One of our favorite things we did in Chicago!! Rented a tandem bike and went all the way up and down the lakefront trail. Renting was super easy and everyone there was so nice!! Would 100% recommend to everyone!
Aleks Poldma
My girlfriend and I had a great time on the bike tour! Even though it was pouring rain out, Brooke was a great host and guide, and we would recommend this tour to all of our friends!
Mark Kowalik
Ria was a great tour guide! I did Bike Bites and Brews tour with for a college alumni reunion! Ria had great communication skills, great story teller, made me feel safe biking the streets of Chicago at night and the FOOD was the da bomb (pizza, hot dog, ice cream and perfect amount of beer!) Keep it up Bobbys!
Lisa Wolschina
Wonderful way to see so much of the city! Ride is not strenuous because the city is flat. Jeff was a great tour guide! I would love to do this again when I go back. Excellent!
Kyle Akaloo

Highly recommended tour!

We rented 2 bikes for an entire day from Bobby's Bike and it was a fantastic day!! The employees were very nice, helpful and made the rental process easy. They offer helmets and locks if you're renting for an entire day.
We had a great day riding all around Chicago and the Lakefront Trail. Highly recommend if you will be visiting Chicago!!
Minnie P
This was one of my favorite activities from our Chicago trip! Jeff was an awesome guide. The food was amazing. Highly recommend this tour!

The Chicago Chinatown Food Walking Tour with guide York Chen was terrific. He was so knowledgeable, interesting, and fun. We very much enjoyed the food and the facts he so expertly provided. A real treat!
Nick F
We had an awesome time on our bike tour around some of the best eats and drinks in Chicago! Alicia was the best tour guide I've ever had and we would love to give her a tour of our area if her and her partner would ever come this way...even though she's and Eagles fan lol great stops, super informative and we were lucky to try some of the classic Chicago eateries!
Nancy Nusbaum
China tour is excellent. Tour guide Jeff is a pleasure to be with and most knowledgeable about Chinatown and Chicago. Not to be missed - locals and visitors alike
Yasmin White

Our tour guide James was absolutely incredible!! Full of knowledge and a blast to interact with! This tour was the highlight of our trip and James is the reason!! If you’re considering booking, absolutely go for it and request James if possible!
Todd Christiansen
FUN!
First, Omar, our guide was great!. Pleasant, entertaining, detailed in knowledge and description and just assured that we all had fun. The weather was cold and windy (it is after all, Chicago in the winter), but fear not, we covered all the stops enjoying chicago style pizza, local cupcakes, a verifiable Chicago hot dog, and great local beer - 5 stops in all through great North side neighborhoods of Chicago. We stopped at famous Wrigley Field which was a first for me!
I enjoy experiential activities that combine history, food and exercise. This tour checked all the boxes.
The tour begins at the shed with bikes that are in great condition (tuned thoroughly), easy to ride and include pouches for small items (e.g. umbrella), ponchos if needed for rain, safety vests if you prefer.
I'll take the tour again in the summer! Highly recommended!

My sister found this place on trip advisor. Had an awesome time on this tour! We did the food and beer tour where we stopped at Lou Malnati’s for a slice of deep dish(best I’ve ever had) a few bars.. one including right across from Wrigleyville, Murphy’s Dog for a Chicago style hotdog( again, best ever! Sad it’s closed now) and Swirlz( for a very good cupcake)
Our tour guide was awesome and hilarious. Our group was a fun one. If you want to have a good time and explore Chicago, this is the best way to do it. You definitely get a taste of the city! Pun intended.
Leah Cross
Awesome food and billing tour of Chicago. Our guide, Courtney, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, her energy was infectious. We appreciated her keeping us safe on the roads and her recommendations of other things to see and do!
Catherine Le Blanc
Greatt tour with Jeff on 2022-11-11. We did the Bikes, Bites and Brews, and tasted 3 different beers and ate 3 different snacks. Great way to get to know the city neighborhoods of Lincoln Park and Lakeview.
Wolfpack, assemble!

We had the most amazing time on this tour!!! Julia was the absolute best!! She was so friendly, down to earth, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely hilarious. The food was incredible! We got to experience the best of Chicago! Getting to see the beautiful sites in downtown Chicago with Julia was such a great experience. By far the best food tour we have ever experienced!!! Thank you Julia!

This was an awesome ride! We were blessed with a beautiful Chicago day to ride through the town. Brooke was our bike guide and we all had a great time. The food was great and the best part was riding the bike path by the Lake on the way back. Brooke is very knowledgeable about Chicago and made sure we were all safe. Thanks Brooke!!
steve shea
We did the food walking tour, which also had history of buildings and landmarks, have to say the tour host Janine was perfect.
Bill Mohr
Bobby’s made the online sign up process super easy for my whole family. Julia did an excellent job with the tour. She provided interesting facts about the city and also conducted a very safe tour of our group of eight. Excited to come back and take one of the other tours the next time we visit the Windy City.
Pieter Bosboom
Just had a great tour with our guide Paul in Chicago!
Recommend it to everybody.
Nioka Chisholm Burns
We did the family tour with a 3,11, and 18 year old. It was a terrific trip and everyone enjoyed it. We used a child seat for the three year old and all of the equipment was comfortable and in good condition. We loved the stops and the food was just the right amount. We added the craft beer experience and it probably wasn't necessary. You can just buy a drink a the restaurant if you want one.
Brian Nordyke
Fantastic way to spend an afternoon learning about the city. The tour guide (Nate) was fantastic, others on the tour were a pleasure to get to know, and the length / number of stops was just right - enough to see some of the city without being a full day event. Will definitely be recommending to all future visitors to Chicago!

My 2 kids and I were the only group which turned up for the Ultimate City Bike Tour. We pretty much got a private tour from Gabe since we were the only ones there; he was willing to customize (shorten) the tour since my boys very much wanted to play at the Maggie Daley Park. Gabe provided numerous interesting tidbits about Chicago and its history which even my boys (4 and 7) understood and enjoyed.
The bike was well-maintained and fairly comfortable to ride. Helmets looked and smelled clean. The trailer was a bit cramped for a 7 and 4 year old, but then I had somewhat expected that as I did not think my older boy would have managed riding on his own for the whole tour. We'll definitely consider coming back again in the summer when it isn't so cold and blustery.
Natalie Love
I've done my fair share of bike tours and this one was by far my favorite. Not only did Julia make our group of 18 laugh the entire time but she was so much more knowledgable than I would have expected. She answered every single question like she was a Chicago encyclopedia and was punctual and safe the entire time. Two thumbs, way up. The deep dish pizza and hot dogs weren't half bad either :)
Suzy (SuzyBee)
An awesome experience and great way to check out Chicago! Our guide, Vasil was knowledgeable and super friendly, like a friend showing you around their city. I thought I'd feel nervous about riding a bike around such busy streets, but honestly, it wasn't bad when you are with a group. The ride itself is easy and didn't feel strenuous or tiring.
Daniella Fremstad
The bikes are very upright for a hybrid but comfortable nonetheless. Easy checkin and out. Cool Looking t-shirts to buy. Biked 25 miles in the 4 hours and bike had no issues.
Katherine McNeill
This was a 10 out of 5 stars! We learned so much, and got so many good jokes from our knowledgeable tour guide, York! He has firsthand experience of immigrating here from China, and it make the experience even more immersive. He was fun, informative, and beyond kind to everyone in our tour group! The food was outstanding at each stop. The walking was the perfect amount, and you walk away stuffed! Thank you for providing such a great experience!
Declan Furlong
Highly recommend the Chinatown walking food tour. Dylan was a great host and tour guide. The choices for food stops were excellent. It was fun & informative and the food was great.
Also highly recommend the bikes, food & beer tour, which was a great way to see the city, taste the food and get some fresh air and exercise! Brian was a great guide.
Excellent company to use for alternative tours.
Chase Parker
What a GREAT TOUR! I enjoy biking all by itself but when you add in pizza, beer, and hot dogs what else could one ask for? Julia our guide was a ball of energy and a ton of fun for the whole group. She made all 10 of us feel like a family by the end of the trip.
Holly Perella
It was exactly the type of tour I wanted. Our guide Paul was funny, informative, and attentive. The tour itself was efficient, interesting and tasty! We saw so many historic buildings and places I could never see on my own. We never had to wait for any food and he kept the tour moving. It was definitely a highlight for my first trip to Chicago.
Beth Brown
Our guide, Chloe, was amazing! Her knowledge, personality and humor kept us engaged and magnified the incredible food, views, and fun!
Sarah McKinney
Lou was an amazing tour guide and took us to all of the great Chicago sites! We went over the rules of the road prior to the tour and Lou made sure our Wolfpack was always safe throughout the ride. The perfect start to our Chicago weekend! Shoutout to our tour guide in training, Rory!!
Todd Singer
Julia did a great job of relating the history of Chicago to us while we ate great food. Everything seemed organized and moved smoothly. Highly recommend this tour.
Naj Mahal
The shop is very close to lakeshore trail which is great. We got comfort hybrids which were reasonably comfortable. They all had pouches for storage in front, some had bottle holders, others didn’t. Two of our bikes malfunctioned while riding and me and the other biker were covered in grease trying to troubleshoot and get their chains back on track. The staff said to break off the plastic around the chain. I wouldn’t have been able to do it by myself, but luckily was riding with some guys that could help. The service was also quite slow in getting our bikes ready to go even when I wrote the pick up time to be 30 minutes before we arrived.
Mary Tschida
We had Julia for our tour guide, and she was awesome! She had lots of information and trivia - all memorized! Everyone felt very “taken care of” as she was so personable!
The food was great! The walk wonderful! The history, background, and trivia was very interesting and entertaining!
I’d highly recommend this outing, and I’d hope you get as lucky with your guide!
Angela Siler
Second time around even better and certainly exceeded all expectations!! Gabe and Brian with Bobby's Bike Hike Chicago are totally awesome!! They were both knowledgeable and excellent story tellers!! Gabe made the history of Chicago come to life in a fun and memorable way making our freezing rainy day outing the best biking tour ever!! I highly recommend getting acquainted with Chicago by taking a biking tour with Gabe and/or Brian at Bobby's Bike Hike-rain or shine!!
Maugendre Agnes
Amazing Lakefront neighbourhood tour with Paul & York. Extremely kind and super friendly. Stopped at unexpected spots on the way, which would have never been seen without their experience. Sincerely high above expectations and definitely worth it! Thanks guys for your time & explanations. Will recommend Bobby's Bike Hike to anyone visiting Chicago!
William Gerundo
We did the Chicago neighborhood tour and had a great experience. Tour guides were fun, safe, and informative. Fun stops included the zoo and along the water.
Ryan Tsukamoto
I had Justin as my tour guide and wow I was so impressed with the whole thing. I didn't even know what to expect at all being brand new to Chicago but Justin took us to places we never would of gone to and showed up things we never would of even thought to look for! All while teaching us the history of everything we see and pass, it was truly an amazing experience i had so much fun. If you are brand new to Chicago I highly recommend starting off your trip with ones of these tours. 10/10.
JoEllyn Espinal
Highly recommend for some fun, history and a taste of Chi Town 👍🏼👍🏼 And on top of that our guide Josie was GREAT! So fun & knowledgeable. Made the tour a great experience! …

Great for tourists and locals. My husband and I left happy and satiated. Our guide York was awesome: great personal experience and knowledge of China Town history! Our sincere appreciation of the tour experience to York!
Alyssa Gordon
We had a great tour with Justin F. who was very personable! I really enjoyed myself! All the pictures, architecture, art, weather, and good company.

Great way to see the city.
Would have died if we had to walk the whole time.
Cassandra Lively
Super fun way to explore the city. Lizzie was the best tour guide! Would highly recommend for a first day in Chicago.
Tyler Ferguson

Nikki Henry
Amazing bikes, bites, and brews your with Josie! She was a ton of fun. Great mix of physical activity, fun, food and beers! I was definitely full!
Max Ankele
Excellent Bike shop! Perfect location ,very close to the lake. I rented a Fuji road bike bike. The bike was well tuned and had a very nice ride to it. was able ride in the rain with no problems. The bike shop is very well equipped with most everything needed. You just have show up and they have helmets and locks available. they let you test ride and make any adjustments needed. I'm from Colorado and have high expectations when it comes to bikes and bike shops. I highly recommend Bobby's Bike Hike for any serious bicyclist!!
Michael Ermann
Had a great time on the food tour. Our tour guide, Dylan, was super fun to be around and knew a lot about the town, ranging from architecture to the food.
Boris Živný
The bike park is functional, but shows significant signs of wear and tear and lack of maintenance. The location of the rental facility is ideal near the city centre and the coastal cycle route. Prices are locally normal, but I would expect to pay for bikes in better condition.
Charity Lombard Miclat
Loved the tour. More than enough food for the both of us. Exceptionally knowledgeable guides, James & Dillon. Will recommend to all my foodie friends
Daniel
Josie was a fantastic guide for our trip. She was informative, friendly and professional. Learned a lot about the city and met some good folks. Highly recommended.
Eliza Sanchez
The Bike Tour was a blast! My family really enjoyed it. Thank you Tomas!
You did great.
Lauren Ahr
This bike tour was the perfect way to see all the best parts of Chicago! Our tour guide, Brooke, was incredibly charismatic, cool & knowledgeable. She gave us background info on the history of each place we biked to, as well as additional recommendations for her favorite restaurants not included in the tour. About a 4 hour, 12-mile ride & it was well worth it!
Markus Mobius
We rented a tandem bike (10 year old son and I) - it was excellent. Great bike and friendly service - plus you get a lock and helmets included.
Suzanne Zigun
The Lakefront neighborhoods tour was an experience we never would have done on our own. The pace was perfect and the guide knowledgeable. A great afternoon activity.
Tracy Roeder
The team went above and beyond to help us with bikes to chase a relative while they ran the Chicago marathon. We can't thank them enough for the excellent service and great bikes!
Marbella Chacón Martínez
It was a really good experience!! I wanna come back just an amazing time! Riding a bike, learning about Chicago, and eating the traditional pizza and hot dogs ...beers etc
Ben Gaffney
The walking food tour is a Chicago must! Dylan is an amazing guide. Really enjoyed this tour.
todd baughman
Brooke was great. Brought fun and energy to a wonderful tour. Always made sure we had everything we needed.
Patrice Faraclas
My family and I throughly enjoyed our bike tour of Chicago with Noah. He was well organized, knowledgeable and super fun to be with. We give Bobby's Bike Hike our highest recommendation.
Emma Katchen
What an amazing experience!!! I had ardarius (and I know I just butchered his name) but he was an incredible guide. Very funny, really knowledgable, kept a great pace and made the whole ride really enjoyable. I would go back and recommend them any day. A definitely must do while you're in chicago.
Cara Lea
We had a great time, great food, and our guide (Dylan) was great! He gave very fun, detailed descriptions of the restaurants we visited and the food we ate. He also did an amazing job with telling us the history of Chicago/various land marks we passed. 5 out of 5 I would for sure do a tour with him again!
Taylor Strickland
We did our tour in Chicago yesterday! Nick was our guide and he was awesome! So personable and it felt like we were with a friend. We learned a lot about the city and had awesome food! Such a fun experience and I would certainly do it again and recommend to everyone!
Thanks Nick and Bobby’s bike hike!
Taylor, Emmy, and Matthew

This place is amazing. Our tour guide was Jake. A really fun and cool fella who made the tour very interesting and fun as well. The bicycles were in excellent mechanical conditions. The gears changed smoothly all the time, brakes excellent. The pacing was just right.
If you want to really enjoy Chicago from the inside and visit the most important and beautiful landmarks, this is the way to do it.
TIP: try to arrive other than by car. Parking is difficult to find and it's quite expensive.
Ben BGC
First time in Chicago. Great way to learn about some of the history, architecture and food. Really interesting! Loved it!
Megan Anson
We recently visited Chicago with friends and went on a walking food tour with Gabe. We had the best time! Gabe is really funny and personable. He has a lot of knowledge about Chicago in general in addition to the stops on our tour, which made the experience even better.
We cannot recommend this tour enough and you should definitely try and book with Gabe!
bob
Spectacular way to explore the city. The lakefront trail ride on the way back was beautiful with the afternoon sun. highly recommend this if you have the time
David Rachelson
Paul was an excellent guide and the tour really opened out eyes to all that Chicago has to offer.
Bryan Demieville
I booked this for my brother and me at the very last minute. We chose the 5:30 food/beer tour. Bobby's was very communicative and told us that we were going to be the only two on the tour that evening and gave us a few options. We chose to stick with our original reservation and we're very glad we did. Our tour guide, Chloe, was awesome! She just did her thing and rocked it out; not caring there were only two of us in tow. She's very knowledgable about the city as well and had plenty of interesting tidbits to teach us. Food and beer stops were great. It really gave you a taste of local Chicago. For anyone concerned with the difficulty of the ride, it was extremely easy. Our loop was around nine miles with only two or three minor hills. It did rain during our tour. It wasn't a torrential downpour so we just kept going. I personally thought it was an extra bonus and quite enjoyable. All that being said, I would absolutely do it again and recommend that friends do as well!
Joseph Shepard
Wow, is all I can say! This tour was amazing. Brooke did a phenomenal job and was so professional. We made several stops that hit all the Chicago musts. Brooke did such a great job explaining the history of different sites along with some thrown in humor. Definitely take this tour and if your lucky to get Brooke, you will be delighted. Thanks again for an amazing tour.
Colin Aylesworth
My wife and I took the Bikes, Bites, and Brews tour, and had an excellent experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, and the stops along the tour were all excellent. This tour is a great and unique way to see a lot of the city, learn some of its history, and enjoy some of the food for which it is well known. I would recommend anyone visiting Chicago take this tour.
Edward Siegel
Robert was a terrific guide! Many stories, much historical info and presented in a very humorous manner. He is very knowledgeable about local history, especially in the downtown area. Highly recommend for a Chicago historical and food tour!
Thao Dinh
Had a time with Dylan! All of the stops had awesome food. We learned a bit about the history of Chinatown overall as well as the individual shops we visited. Overall, definitely a tour worth booking to discover those gems of Chinatown.
Matthew Zic
Great experience with staff and bikes. I went in a day early to talk about the rental and got a tip that it’s cheaper to reserve online. Showed up the day of to have staff work quickly and be very helpful in showing me where to go and how to best get to the stops I wanted to make. The bikes were also well maintained and new.
Steve Cooper
Nick was our tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the Chicago area. He wanted everyone to feel welcome and have a good time. The food stops were good and well planned. He also had other great information about the city.
Mary Anderson
This was the highlight of my trip to Chicago. Brooke did an amazing job of keeping us engaged and safe as we navigated the streets and trails of Chicago. Each stop was a cool experience with lots of good info told enthusiastically and knowledgably by Brooke. I loved ending the ride along the Lakefront Trail...so beautiful! I highly recommend this experience and I hope you get Brooke as your guide!
Nicki M
The Chicago Favorite food tour was awesome! Dylan was a fun guide and has a TON of knowledge about the city. He also was great at offering to take pics, which is so appreciated. Really great thing to do, especially if you only had two days in the city like we did!
Teresa Hartley
What a wonderful experience. My first visit to Chicago with limited time yet I came away after five hours with so much information and history not to mention great food and beer reflective of the Windy City. The 5:30 pm tour gives you daylight plus beautiful night light views of the skyline. Julia was the BEST and very attentive to this 70 year old lady!!
Tracy Asamoah
Great tour with stops that represented Chicago culture well. Our guide, Gabe, was the perfect balance of your informed tour guide and local who would be be fun to share a meal with. Definitely recommend.
Amber Cross
Last minute trip to Chicago, and this ride did not disappoint. Great ride, Jake was our tour guide, and a great storyteller. He kept us on track, even we we came upon a hot wing festival! Fun, informative and safe riding conditions the entire way. When we come back, we’ll book a different ride. Jake, I hope your mom will print this post and put it on the fridge, you did a great job, we had fun!
Erin Kieley
LOU - our guide, was fantastic! He was informative, shared just the right amount of info, looked out for our group when navigating city traffic + neighborhoods, and was a ton of fun. Definitely request Lou for your next tour! A great way to experience areas of Chicago we wouldn't have otherwise known about.
Took a star off b/c we'd upgraded our West Side Foodie Tour to include the craft beer experience - for $40/person getting two 1/2 chalice and one 6 oz. portion and a piece of chocolate wasn't worth the money at all. Only disappointing part of the experience.
Ryann Parker
What a great experience with Bobby's Bike Hike. We booked the Bikes, Brews, and Bites tour and we were not disappointed. Our guide Julia was engaging, knowledgeable, and made sure every single person on the tour was engaged and having a great time. Excellent way to explore some of Chicago's famous neighborhoods, sights, and food.
Kaitlyn Rivera
Janine was our tour guide and she was phenomenal!!!!!! Knowledgeable, funny and kind - the perfect tour guide. We had such a great experience and highly recommend.
Carolyn Schmidt
Awesome tour! Great way to spend a few hours as you bike around Chicago and get some delicious food and beer. Brooke was an exceptional guide and did a wonderful job leading our group and sharing great information. We loved it - definitely recommend!!
Micah Huxford
This tour was really cool, didn’t have a ton of expectation up front, but Nate, our guide made it really fun, gave us a lot of cool, interesting info along the way. Would absolutely do this again, and recommend to anyone considering it!
alison carroll
We had the absolute best time on our bike tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and so fun! We took kids 8-11 years old and they were entertained the entire 3 hour ride. It was such a fun way to see the city! Without a doubt I would recommend this for families touring the city.
Ruby Morgan
Had the most incredible time on the Chinatown tour today. Our tour guide York was phenomenal and we learned sooo much! Every food stop was delicious too.
Kristen Stead
We did the food and beverage walking tour with our very entertaining guide, Gabe. I got exactly the types of iconic Chicago foods that I hoped for, and he chose just the right places to try them out. It was a nice small group, and Gabe had so much information that was interesting and fun about the history of the town and the sites along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Wendy Hathorn
We did a group foodie bike tour through the city and had a blast! I was surprised how safe the ride was on the streets, they sure know their stuff. Our guide Brooke was the best. Her food history talks were told with great knowledge and tons of personality, she made the whole day super fun!
Carrie Wujek
This was a Father’s Day (belated) outing for our family of 4 - including 2 older teenage sons. Perfect fit! Our tour guide Julia was funny, engaging and knowledgeable and she gave us some options among the standard stops. Can’t beat the food: deep dish pizza, hot dogs, and Eli’s cheesecake. We covered 10 miles of the city from the Gold Coast to Buckingham Fountain with stops at Millennium Park and Navy Pier some nice time on the lakefront trail. Great family time in a great city!
Phoebe Michelle
Amazing food tour and I could not imagine having the tour with anyone other than Justin, he was fabulous! The food was great! We didn't have much time in Chicago so this was perfect: tour of the city + Chicago food staples = perfection! It was 3.4 miles of walking so wear something comfortable! I would highly recommend!
Brian Sobon
We did the bikes, bites, and brew tour for my birthday. It was an incredible value with full size servings of Chicago classic food items like deep dish pizza and Chicago style hot dogs. They also provided a great variety of local beers. Julia as our tour guide was the star of the show. Her positivity, energy, and vast knowledge of the city made the tour even better than any of us expected. She made a rain storm into a fun event at a bar in Wrigleyville. Highly recommend attending any future tours with Julia!
Mark Peterson
Nick was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and engaging. He kept a good pace for the group and made sure we had plenty of time at each stop to fully enjoy the history and beauty of the city.
William Maloney
Had a great four hour tour with our guy Thomas. Bikes, bites and brews was well worth it. We rode at a leisurely pace through Chicago neighborhoods stopping for deep dish pizza, a Chicago dog, and a brownie. Murphy’s bleachers and a lakefront bar where our stops for the bruise. Thomas was friendly and professional. We had a great time and would highly recommend!
Colleen Martin
We loved Peter, he was awesome, engaging and really interested in us too! I highly recommend this tour! If you can get a group of your own it would be a blast!
Kimberly Stowe
We took the walking food tour with Sam and Brooke. We were completely stuffed with pizza, hotdogs and beef sandwich in 3 hours. Sam was energetic and funny, very polite and full of interesting information. Brooke was along for the ride but contributed and was very friendly.
We had a great time. We only had one full day to spend in Chicago and this tour gave us a perfect snip of food and architecture + city info. We'd definitely take another tour with this company!
Matt Freeman
We had 3 days in Chicago and made the Ultimate Tour our first must do activity. Paul, our fearless and fun loving guide, led us on our amazing 3 hour tour by showing us the highlights of Chicago and sharing the historical events telling the incomparable story of a one of a kind place. Btw, have your camera ready. We hit several “Instagramable” spots and travelled approximately 9 miles. Worth it! And very doable if you are in reasonable shape. Highly recommend if you want to experience the greatness that is Chicago.
Caitlin Beer
Our family did Bobby’s Bike Tour for the first time this weekend! It was so much fun to spend the day at the best places in Chicago! Each stop was filled with wonderful facts and delicious bites and brews! We loved hearing about Chicago’s history from our favorite tour guide, Gabe! Very professional, funny and super informative! We adored the Navy Pier, Deep Dish Pizza and Wrigley Field! Highly recommend for an epic run down of the best things Chicago has to offer! Thanks again Gabe, for a day of everlasting memories in Chicago!

Heather Abed
Fabulous! Our guide Justin was entertaining, fun and informative. The food was excellent. Highly recommended !
TeQuilla Williams
Its called a bike hike but you have the option to do a walking tour which is what we chose. I really enjoyed this tour which was surprising to me because most tours are boring. Our tour guide Nick was great and very knowledgeable about the history of Chicago. He was very engaging and enthusiastic. As we toured the city, we would stop and experience foods that Chicago is most known for. You do plenty of walking so wear comfortable shoes! Overall enjoyed this experience .
Ryan Chappell
We took the Bikes, Bites, and Brews night tour with Thomas and had a fantastic time! Felt safe on our entire ride and had some great views. Food and drinks were ready as soon as we arrived. Thomas is knowledgeable and so funny and really made the experience that much more enjoyable.
Linda Le
We went on the Sunset Bike Tour with our tour guide Courtney, and she was awesome. She was very lively and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited.
Berkley Snyder
Such a fun experience to learn the history of Chicago with sampling great food. Julia was our tour guide and she was so wonderful and lively, she truly made the tour.
Kaitlin Kline
This tour was a GREAT introduction to Chicago and its famous food! My sister and I had an amazing time walking through the city and eating some of the best meals the Windy City has to offer. Our guide, Gabe, was generous and funny every step of the way. Would absolutely recommend the Food Favorites and Walking Tour for a first-time visitor!
Daniel Richards
Sammy Jo was a great guide. The tour was great and lots of interesting things to see. Also the guide brought it to life.
Jon Tavernier
I rented two bikes online for some guests who were in town. They worked great, pickup and drop off was easy, and the staff is super nice.
Rachel Webb
We had a great time on the family food and bike tour. I had two 16 year old boys with me and this was a good excursion for them. The food was better than I expected and our guide, Paul, gave good history and insight into stops on the tour.
Pheba Shibu
Justin was our tour guide. We did the Chicago Favorites Food & Walking Tour. It was a great pace and he was friendly, entertaining, and well-knowledgable! We enjoyed all of the stops around the city and the delicious food!!
John Mueck
Excellent guide who possessed good knowledge and led a great tour. Ellen did a fantastic job! Enjoyed the tour.
Neera Shamith
Our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable, patient with our questions and extremely good in the tour. We took a bike tour and he took all safety precautions to make sure we were safe. We definitely recommend this place for city bike tour.
Joseph Marroquin
Our tour guide, Teddy, was so full of energy and knowledge it made our experience super fun. He was engaging and would take time to make sure everyone had a chance to ask questions. He was not just a "listen to me and move on" your guide. He loves Chicago and wanted everyone on the tour to understand why. I would definitely recommend this guide's service to anyone visiting the windy city.
Dylan Murphy
This tour is a fantastic was to see the city and cover a number of different neighborhoods and food. I highly recommend this tour. Julia is very knowledgeable, fun, and personable. I would glad take this tour again.
Kelly Shimmens
What a great way to see the city & get a taste of some local favorites! Brooke did an awesome job with our small group…she really enjoys getting to know everyone and makes it a fun ride together. Would recommend to anyone looking for a light activity & some Chicago style food/drink!
Christabel Agbugba
This was my first ever guided tour and I'm so glad that Brooke led it. She was soo kind, funny and professional. She definitely knows her Chicago history and she presented it to us in a very engaging and interesting way. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would have. This was an amazing first experience!
Eric Morse
The bites and brews was am awesome adventure even though I don't drink. Brooke's energy and knowledge were simply spectacular and she did a fantastic job getting us around and accommodating us. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone visiting the area as it's a perfect introduction to the city.
Victoria Sevcik
We took our family of six to see and taste the highlights of Chicago. They had comfortable bikes for all sizes, even a trailer for our youngest. The food and beer was excellent with soda and cupcake stops for the kids to enjoy as well. Tough to keep up against the wind but we all did it together and had a great day!
Julie Gibson
We took the West Side Foodie tour on August 28. It was a blast! Even though it was a brutal 93 degrees, our guide Gabe was fun, informative, and just a super nice guy. The food was great and the group was fun.
We'd do it again in a minute! We
Danielle Saglio
We did Bikes, Bites and Brews tour and it was fabulous!
Brittany, our tour guide did a great job! She pointed out landmarks and knew so much about the history of Chicago.
We saw 14 miles of Chicago and stopped at cute local places.
At one point it started to rain. Our tour guide had bright orange plastic ponchos for us to wear to stay dry.
I have taken other bike tours in other cities but nothing compares to Bobby's. You always have 2 guides on each tour, and you can tell that safety is a priority.
Overall it was a great way to see the city and a fun day!
Highly Recommended!
Elena Pellegrino
York was truly the best tour guide of any kind that I have ever had. I highly recommend him and his Chinatown tour to anyone looking for a fun, fascinating, delicious adventure!
Heather Budde
Easy to select products and book online. The location was easy to find and conveniently located. Customer service was nice, but mediocre - not much direction on exactly how to get to the trail (which is on the other side of a highway) and questions about bike trailer were left with a shrug.
Our two comfort hybrids were good, although my husband had to fix his chain a couple of times. The pouches at the front were nice for the locks and to put your phone to have it handy.
DO NOT rent a baby/kid trailer - the brand they have does not have adjustable straps inside and our 1.5 year old's head was wedged between straps instead of them being on his shoulders (he regularly rides in a trailer at home) - use one of their other options for bringing a kid along.
Overall, we would use Bobby's again because of cost and location, but were not super happy with the quality of the equipment.
Thor Fiol
We had a great time with Gabe as our tour guide. The trip was planned to perfection by having a relaxed pace with reasonable distance between stops, perfect portions of pizza/hotdogs/beer, and great photo ops. Would definitely recommend Bobby's Bike Hike over river cruises as you'll be able to see more of the city as well as get a taste of the town and a little workout!
Jason Basner
Best activity to do in Chicago during Covid!!
I always say that bicycle is the best way to see a city, and my tour today was absolutely amazing. Babe was so I had fun, and so knowledgeable about everything in the city! There’s so many little things I would have missed out on. The bike ride is easy, very flat. Food and beer were all delicious.
I highly recommend this tour even for locals, because these guys know their stuff!!!
Debbie Dunn
We took the Lakefront Neighborhoods Bike Tour and it was very fun! The bikes were in great condition, the routes accessible, and the areas we visited were just as described - very enjoyable to see and we wouldn't have seen them otherwise!
Sarah, our tour guide, was great! She spoke loud enough that even those of us in our 18 person group who were farthest from her could enjoy all the fun facts she shared. She also gave great directions, and was very pleasant!
I would definitely book again with Bobby's Bike Hike Tours!
Patricia Campbell
The ease of using this business was amazing. We reserved our bikes online and got there a little late (the parking garage was tight with our SUV, so the struggle was real), but we got there and they had our reservation ready. They gave us a map and some basic rules and instructions and then we were on our way! The shop is conveniently located by the bike trail . We highly recommend this place for your bike needs. It was fast, easy, and very professional.
Nancy J Sperling
Excellent tour. Anna Marie really knew her food and had great knowledge of Chicago as a city.
Marjorie Hoeksema
We had a fantastic experience with the gangster tour. Nick, our tour guide, was not only knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining, but the tour was picturesque and adventurous. We were able to explore some areas in Chicago that we never would have otherwise. We got to see areas of the south side with great views of the skyline, we biked 16 miles but the electronic assist made it more enjoyable, and the authentic Italian beef sandwiches were unreal.-The bikes, staff, destinations, and tour itself was definitely worthwhile and we highly recommend!

We went on the Chicago Favorites - Food Tasting Walking Tour this weekend and had a GREAT time! Our group was awesome but all the credit goes to our tour guide Erica! She was excellent! Upbeat, personable, comical and knew everything there is to know about Chicago. She had such more knowledge of the city's history we got to learn even more than we thought! If you want to go on a tour make sure you ask for Erica!! You will not regret it!
Kamau Gaynor
I took this tour with my sons. My guide was Julia. We all had a great time. She is hilarious and knowledgeable. Thanks, Julia. Don't forget us when you make it big...
Beth Urbanski
The best way to see a city, by bike. Loved the idea of eating and riding our way through Chicago. Excellent day with Nate!
Mariya Orzhynska Maximtsev
So impressed with this bike shop. They thought of the smallest details to make your bike ride safe and enjoyable, from having a map on the bikes to giving a safety lock. It was also so easy to check out online too, I will be renting bikes from here again!
Heather Johnson
I had a wonderful time on my bike tour! If you're considering touring solo, don't be afraid! I went alone while my SO was at a conference, but never felt that I was there by myself. Between my friendly fellow riders and the most hospitable guide, I felt totally included.
The bikes were sturdy, the seats were comfortable, and the staff made sure we were safe.
While the tour alone was good, it wouldn't have been nearly as fun without our wonderful guide. Gabe was a fabulous guide with lots of charisma to accompany his knowledge of Chicago history. We biked 13.5 miles, made five food/drink stops, and stopped another handful of times to take pictures and admire the scenery/sculptures/architecture. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
Still having second thoughts about riding alone? Don't overthink it. Just do it! You'll love it!

Good selection of bikes, and friendly service. This is a great way to see the city, we had the whole family out!
Tamara Smith
The bikes, bites, and brew tour was AMAZING!!! I'm from Chicago and learned TONS. The food stops were AWESOME and last but certainly not least Paul was THE ABSOLUTE BEST. He was informative, knowledgeable and funny. DEFINITELY recommend this tour
Jill Cooper
My husband and I had an amazing tour with Paul. It was a chilly day and he stopped in the sunniest spots when giving the detailed and interesting information. I would definitely recommend!!
Jennifer Goldin
We loved our city tour with Patrick! He was friendly, funny and super knowledgeable. He set an easy pace and even my 13 year old was able to enjoy herself and the sights! Thank you so much! We highly recommend this tour for families 😊 …
Tomer Algai
Fun and informative, well organized tours. A fun way to see Chicago, sample unique foods and even get a bit of exercise. Our guide Liz was fantastic. Had a terrific sense of humor and is very genuine.
The bikes are comfortable and in great shape. They also include a front zip bag to put your essentials (including a provided bottle of water) and not have to carry a big bag with you.
Cindi Fiandaca
We went on the Halloween Edition Bike Hike. It was cool. Paul was a good guide. He even dressed in costume. This was my second time going on a bike tour. I can't wait to try other tours.
Corey Walsh
This is the second time my wife and I have done this tour. We did the first time a few years ago and it's surprising the amount of new buildings and change this time around. There's a reason why we did this tour again...it's wonderful. The bike ride is easy (we did it in flip-flops) but great. The food stops are wonderful. Our tour guide was great and full of knowledge and energy.
In a few years I'm sure my wife and I will do another bike tour and there's no reason why we would go with anyone other than Bobby's Bike Hike!
Erin Kay
My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time with our guide Justin! He was funny, charismatic, and knowledgeable. We had a small group because it's March, which I honestly preferred. We went to 4 different places and I enjoyed the food at every location. We learned some of Chicago's history and Justin was very engaging and asked us questions to get to know us as we went along. I would highly recommend them!
Lynda
James was super informative and very knowledgeable about the city of Chicago which made the walking food tour very enjoyable.
Chelsea Zmoos
What a fun tour! Peter was our guide and I LOVED how much he was able to share about the history of the city and the sites he took us to. If you've never been to Chicago before I think this is a great way to be introduced to the city. The ride was easy, fun, and educational. I would definitely recommend it.
Nicki Kruse
Josie was fun, fruity, and fabulous. 10/10 recommend.
Lauren MacArthur
Since we were the only ones crazy enough to book a tour on a 30 degree day in Chicago we were lucky enough to have an awesome private tour with Honest Gabe! The sun, the food, the beers and the laughs kept us warm on this amazing tour of Chicago. Despite growing up here I learned quite a few new things- plus Gabe has the best Borat impression! Would 10/10 recommend! Thanks for a great day!
Andreya Risser
This was an awesome tour! We got to see a lot of the city- wonderful information provided by Justin at every stop along the way! Food was even better than expected - would go again 😊 …
jannene harker
We did the Chinatown food tour. This was a great tour and we learnt so much about the history, culture and food from different regions of China. Our guide, Eric, shared knowledge and demonstrated so much enthusiasm during the tour. The food was outstanding. We were lucky to have a small group (just the three of us) which made it really personal and enabled us to ask lots of questions. Very enjoyable and well recommended.
John Goebelbecker
I did the bites and brews tour yesterday afternoon to learn some new facts and lore about Chicago and enjoy classic Chicago food and drink. My tour guide, Ro, was fantastic. She had so much energy and enthusiasm for the storytelling and yet ways equally conscious of the safety of the group. I was impressed how she knew the names of all twelve participants, where they came from and why they were visiting Chicago. She made us all feel welcome and cared for. Kudos to Bobby’s Bike Hike and to Ro. I will recommend this tour to anyone.
Cynthia Ulrich
We've now done 2 tours with Bobby's Bike Hike and both were phenomenal. Omar was our recent guide and he was so energetic and knowledgeable. Our group of 9 loved him and our night electric bike tour (highly recommend, one of our favorite things about our trip). However, if you aren't into a guided tour, just rent a bike from them and do your own thing. They have a lot of choices and everything is well maintained.
Caroline Moore
We went on the ride to Wrigley Tour yesterday, yes during COVID. Our tour guide Gabe was amazing, he knew so much about the history of Chicago and the Cubs. We aren't really baseball followers so he catered his stories to talk more about Chicago than laying so heavy on the cubs, asking if that was okay first! He made the tour so fun, and we also still felt safe with all the COVID going on. We all wore masks until we went to Murphy's Bleachers for the chicago dog and beer, and Gabe even asked if we would prefer him sit at a table 6 feet away before removing his mask to eat and continue sharing the history of the area! I would highly recommend this tour to travelers and even Chicago residents who need to get out of the house during these crazy times! He gave great recommendations for stuff us tourists could still do and see with most of the regular Hotspots being closed!
Josh Crocker
We absolutely loved the Lake Front neighborhoods tour. Our guide Noah was funny, informative and helped us navigate the city in a way we could have never figured out on our own. He also taught us some very interesting history of the city. I highly recommend Bobby's Bike and hike tours.
Heather Wing
We've done several bike tours at different companies, and this is a great one. We did the Taste of Chicago bike tour with our guide, Evan, and it was a fun way to experience the city and taste lots of local favorites: Chicago dogs, deep-dish pizza, cupcakes, and local beer. The trip is long-- a full 4 hours, but it's a neat way to see the city, and it feels good to be active rather than sitting on a tour bus or just shopping the Magnificent Mile. I would definitely recommend. Evan did a great job and made the trip fun for everyone.
K O
Without hesitation I give Bobby’s Bike Hike 5 stars for an excellent bike tour! I truly enjoyed our tour guide Omar, who was knowledgeable, conscientious and funny. Omar made the tour through the city a fun and safe adventure. Omar took the time to ensure our comfort level before heading out, explaining how to use the electric bike, fitting us for our helmets and detailing our adventure. Omar kept us safe as we rode through the city and provided us with interesting historical facts on each stop of the tour. I love history and learned so much about Chicago, a city I actually grew up in! I recommend the Chicago Sites at Night Bike Tour to both local and international visitors alike.
Iris Jauregui
Was a great ride around town. Gabe was fantastic. Had a lot of information to share about the sites visited as well as additional locations. The pace of the tour was good. The places we stopped for pizza, hotdogs, brownies and beer were all great and delicious! Highly recommend this tour!
Michelle Marshall
Bobby's Bike Hike Chicago. We spent the morning touring the area on our bikes at a pace that was perfect. There were no problems with the kids keeping up. Our tour guide was extremely informative and kept the tour very upbeat and lively. I would not miss the opportunity to take this ride!!
Kelli Hugo
James was fantastic!!! Highly recommend this tour. James went above and beyond. Outstanding!!!
Steven Celmer
Brooke is an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgable about Chicago and other areas of travel. Excellent tour of the nicer areas of the city of Chicago, good way to spend an afternoon.
Alicia Verdile
Friends and I did a Bikes, Bites & Brews Tour with Brigid (Bridget?) this past Saturday! I'm a local of Chicago and took visiting friends on this excursion. We hit all the "must eats" and "must drinks" in the city as well all the best photo opportunities! We left the tour feeling pretty full, lots of good food and solid portions. The weather was actually downpouring rain during our tour, though that didn't really matter at all and we all had a ton of fun. I've already booked my next tour for next weekend when more friends come to visit. Pretty easy biking route, don't need to be an expert biker either.
Sarah Ellis
Taking a tour with Bobby’s Bikes was the BEST thing I did on my trip to Chicago! I took the food and beer tour with Brittany (who is passionate, fun, and made for an exceptional tour guide). I sampled famous Chicago food, learned the history of the Chicago pizza feuds, what makes a Chicago dog different, and biked past iconic places through the Windy City. HIGHLY suggest this tour!!
Pro tip: book your bike tour for when the Cubs are playing for an extra special experience!
Laura Warner
This was our FAVORITE part of our vacation!! This is an absolute MUST!! The tour guides were incredibly fun, friendly and informative. They are true locals and know all the ins & outs of the city. They took extra time to fit us with the appropriate bikes. The tour itself was beautiful, fascinating and fun. Very easy in terms of skill level, but definitely the best way to see the city. Highly reccommend the Lakefront Neighborhoods tour and request Courtney- she was the best!!! We will definitely be doing this again!!
Karen Molek
Easy booking and friendly customer service! Just wish they would start the time after you adjust the bike and actually start riding.
Julie Arrowsmith
One of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. A great way to see the city and taste some delicious food. Loved biking through the neighborhoods, biking up to Wrigley during a game and then along the lake. Our guide Ardarius was the best. Pace was just right so that it was fun. Highly recommend this for families and any other couples, friends, etc.
Maria J Brooks
Our entire family had a great time. Mark was a wonderful guide and made sure we all had a blast while staying safe on the Chicago streets. We can't wait to do another bike tour. We highly recommend the Mob tour with the Italian beef. Yum!
Jeremy Finkle
Awesome experience with this company. The staff was professional and courteous and the manager was extremely helpful. There was a tour going out while I was there to rent a bike, but they managed everyone quite well. I paid, picked out a helmet, and received my bike very efficiently. And off I rode. The Chicago lakefront is amazing and the trail system extends quite a ways, 20 or 30 miles I think. The bike was in great working order, no problems, and they provide you a pouch for any personal things you wish to store. Overall, excellent experience and I will rent here again.
Rachel Goldstein
We had a great time on this tour, with guide Paul! Great portions of food and just enough walking in between so you’re a little hungry again at each stop.
Andrea Joos
Our bike tour was the highlight of our recent trip to Chicago! Our tour guide, Tim, did a fabulous job of keeping the tour interesting and fun for all involved. We really enjoyed all of the food as well as the history that went along with it. This was the perfect way to see the city!
Stephanie K.
My cousins and I had a great time at the Holiday Hike Tour with Mike as our guide. He was easygoing and helped us navigate through some of Chicago's great food places (some places were crowded but that is to be expected around the holidays). The samples were great! Some were packaged to take home and others were full-sized samples to enjoy. Had a great time and saw some great sites!
Julie Zimmer
This was a fun way to see a lot of neighborhoods in Chicago and taste the classic must haves. Our tour guide, Brooke, was great and had a lot to share. Overall an awesome experience- highly recommend!!
Renee Smith
My sister and I went on a bike tour of the Lakefront Neighborhoods in September. It was a beautiful sunny day, the guide was great and fun, and no hassles riding on the city streets. If you are a cyclist consider that the focus is on history and location facts - you just happen to be on a group bike ride instead of sitting on a tour bus : ) It's a very relaxed pace. I will surely book another bike tour with Bobby's when I'm in Chicago next.
Beth Graybill
I've been on 3 bike tours with Bobby's Bike Hike over the last 15 years and each one has been outstanding! Although I have to say that Bex is my favorite neighborhood tour guide. Friendly service, fun facts about the city, moderate riding pace for all to enjoy, and beautiful scenery. The best way to see Chicago and work up an appetite for your favorite restaurant after the bike ride. A must-do for Chicago whether you have 24 hours or 7 days in the city!
Mike Dingman
Gabe was an incredible tour guide! Funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. This was our third bike tour with Bobby's Bike Hike and Gabe was the best guide we've had yet.
Danielle Howard
Such a fun tour! My bridesmaids and I did the Bikes, Bites and Brews tour with Tim as our guide. I've been to Chicago many times, but never on a tour. It was so much fun and I'd definitely do it again. What a fun way to see the city and burn some calories while riding and laughing with our group. Watch out brides....they have a special treat for you...!
Karen Johnson
My daughter and I took the Bikes, Bites, and Brews tour on Wed. Aug. 12th. We loved it. Jeremy was a fantastic tour guide, full of knowledge and history of Chicago. The food was fantastic, loved the deep dish pizza and cupcake and hot dog. The beer was nice too. What a fun way to see Chicago, learn some of its history, eat some great food and get some fresh air and exercise all at the same time. The biking was easy for me and I am 55 so don't worry that it will be too strenuous for you.
Michael Walker
We did the greatest hits tour. I would not recomend this tour if you have any bike skills. We had 15 prople in our group with 4 kids which slowed it to a crawl. You can see twice as much on your own with a good map. The guide was good and the bikes were solid, so they would be good to rent from. Chicago is very easy to bike around.
graeme mellow
Great tour and an interesting and entertaining guide in the form of one hairy Gandolf impersonater. Jeff!
LeAnne Hernandez
Gabe was an amazing guide! He was funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. We did the ultimate food and walking tour. This was my first time visiting Chicago and this tour was well worth it.
Silver-Eyed Star
We had a large group and did the electric bike tour @ night. Omar was our guide. He is very knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time. The stops along the tour are great for some beautiful pictures. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you're looking for something fun to do!
Howie Tang
Took the 1030am tour through the neighborhoods of Chicago. Decided to go by myself at 10am, got there at 10:15. They had room for me. Great way to see her town. Sammy-Jo was the tour leader. She was great and deserves a gold star! Don't forget to tip the tour leader at the end, they do a great job of telling stories, keeping you safe and entertain. If it's a little cold bring some gloves and a light jacket!
Kathleen Duffy Ybarra
Lou was a great tour guide - interesting history and tales about Chicago. You'll see parts of Chicago large tours can't access - Must do activity on your visit to Chicago.
Rachelle Settle
Great tour with Brooke! She was informative and engaging. We loved all of the food and drink stops. A "must do" if you are visiting the city!!
Jonathan Motney
I am so glad I took this tour. Evan, a member of the local comedy group second city, took us all over the city while he went through the rich (and sometimes ridiculous) history associated with different landmarks. After a quick explanation and overview, the tour is off. You hit a pizza place (one of the best rated in the city), a cupcake place that was delicious and a hot dog restaurant for a classic Chicago-style hot dog. Those were great but the real reason you should take this tour is because of the gorgeous parks you ride through. Each park had its own unique backstory and Evan does a great job going over the individual aspects at each stop. The pace of the tour is perfect. They space out the 14 miles well so that you get ample time at each stop but get to enjoy some nice longer stretches of trail. If weather permits I highly recommend this experience.
Ryan Sheridan
Liz was great. Even being a local to Chicago, it was a great way to see the city. Perfect blend of actually seeing the sites/city, eating and drinking vs. being too focused on one of those elements. The price point was also an amazing value for the experience and what you actually eat/drink, which is more and more difficult to find in the city at times. Would recommend for tourists and Chicago residents alike.
Alvaro J. Ruiz (RFID Guru)
Definitely recommended it is a great tour, having for the price food and drinks included it just makes sense, also no waiting lines on the pizza place, Julia our tour Guide was great, awesome knowledge, honestly my idea was to substitute the hop on hop off tour to review the landmarks we visit some not all, but overall a great tour to do, our group was great will do the other tour options for sure
Yixin Gong
Went on the Chicago Neighborhoods tour with Eddie from Bobby's Bike Hire. He took us on a nice leisurely ride for about 3 hrs, spanning across the different neighborhoods. He shared lots of information about Chicago's history - very informative. I really appreciated the emphasis he placed on ensuring everyone in the group rode in a reasonable and safe way. Overall, a great way of touring Chicago!
Joseph Ray
Nick was great! He's very knowledgeable about the Chinatown experience and Chinese history. Nick knew all about old China, and Modern China, and explained it in a way that was easy to understand. Nick is a great guide, if you're interested in Chinese history and Chinatown, this tour is a must
Thanks Nick!
Stephanie Repine
Nick did an excellent job as our tour guide for the Chicago Favorites Food and Walking Tour. He was a great historian and very personable, even remembered all of our names. We had the best time, even our teenagers loved it!! We learned a lot about Chicago and ate some amazing food.
Kara Miller
My husband and I went on the Bikes, Bites & Brew tour on October 2nd, 2015. We Loved it. Tim was our guide, and was fantastic! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the City, he knew the history, he knew the food inside & out, and his sense of humor was spot on. He had us all laughing several times. We will definitely come back to Bobby's Bike Hike if and when we visit Chicago again! LOVED IT!
Trina Poole
A perfect way to start our girls’ trip. Brooke was AWESOME. We had a great time and learned so much. It was a great way to get some Chicago staples and see some of the city. Well worth it.
brittany smith
Very friendly staff. Was on a bikepacking trip with the whole family and got a flat and didn't have the right pump, they lent me a pump and purchased a new tube in case my patches didn't hold. Ended up using the tube on a different bike a few days later. They are located super close to Ohio ST Beach and the Lake front bike path.
Mark Soticheck
My wife and I spent a long weekend in Chicago and went on Bobby's Bike Hike's "Bikes, Bites and Brews Tour" this past Saturday (April 11, 2015). We had a blast on the tour! This was a great way to see so much more of Chicago then just the typical downtown area. While I'm sure all of the guides are equally capable and fun, we had Tim and he was fantastic! He mixed in history with humor and personality with lots of photo opps. (which my wife loved). (Tim - thank you so much for making the tour everything we thought it would be and more!)
The tour is perfectly paced so don't feel like you need to be in world class shape. The spots we hit were the quintessential places, not chains, and that made it all the better. If you're in Chicago for any amount of time I would highly recommend signing up for any tour, but especially the Bikes, Bites and Brews Tour if you like food and beer.
Lindsey Msibi
This was such a fun and perfect trip for our family! Our 3.5 year old was in pull behind wagon and it was a very thrilling time! The sites and stops were very cool and definitely new experience! Highly recommend this trip in the evening!!
erin hirstine
It was the highlight of our time in Chicago! Gabe was excellent and really tailored the tour to meet our interests. His knowledge of the city was very impressive!! I would recommend taking the tour on your first or second day in the city.
PJ M
My friends and I took the Bikes, Bites and Brews tour this past weekend. I was a little concerned about a 4 hour bike ride, not really knowing what to expect. It was so much fun and a pretty effortless ride. . It is an excellent way to see the city, going to areas we probably would have missed otherwise. Our guide ,Gabe was very informative and entertaining., he really made the tour a lot of fun! I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a unique look at the city to take this tour.
Joseph Lawson
The Bike and brew tour was an awesome way to see some of the more interesting parts of Chicago. Our guide, Brook, made sure everyone had a great time.
Chris Smith
While visiting Chicago for a few days, I decided to try out Bobby's Lakefront Bike Tour.
I was cutting it close getting there and finding parking, so I called ahead. Karen answered the phone and was SUPER helpful, telling me not to worry or rush, alleviating my stress, and even telling me where to park in a nearby garage where they would stamp my ticket and basically get me half off!
Arriving at the shop, Karen greeted me with a big smile, helped get me checked in, helped me find a helmet that fit, and introduced me to the rest of the group. Everyone on the tour was super nice, outgoing personalities, confident bike riders, and a lot of fun to be around. So it was a perfect match and we all had a great time!!!
Karen was full of knowledge and enthusiasm for the city. We made several interesting stops. Being a photographer, I always slipped away from the group to take a few photos when we were at each location, and Karen didn't mind a bit.
I enjoyed the tour so much that I came back later and rented a bike for 2 more hours. Chicago is the PERFECT biking city...especially if you're a photo geek like I am. Enjoy...
Kelly Larson
Sooooo I did 3 tours in 3 days. The first day just happened to be walking around trying to figure out how to find foot passage to the navy pier from Michigan avenue and happened by and we said, bike tour? Okay sounds cool. Then I had two more days to entertain myself while my husband was at his conference. How should I see the city? Back to Bobby's Bike Hike. I did the Lakeshore tour, the Bikes/Brews/Beer and the Gangster tour. My favorite was BBB and then Gangster. Nothing against the Lakeshore...but food! It was good. My tour guides were Cody, Sarah, and Mark, I liked them each for different reasons but they all did a great job and were very memorable. There was a little bit of overlap with a couple tour stops but with a different tour guide they still brought a different perspective, it felt individualized and unscripted. And they all said "I know you heard this on your last tour" but I really didn't. They share their own favorite details which is a little different from their colleagues', which was pretty cool. Thanks Bobby's Bike Hike staff!
Elizabeth Ojo
Had a great time with our ground and our guide, Gabe! It was obvious that he knew his stuff, was personable, and kept us informed the entire way. Great stuff, great stops, would do another Bobby's tour again!
Riley Parish
I signed up for the 3 hour City Lights At Night bike tour not really knowing what to expect. I'm an amateur biker at best and wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up. How wrong I was! The ride was flat and easy; I didn't even break a sweat. We traveled along the lake for miles and rode through Chicago's vibrant downtown area. There were frequent stops along the way where we were able to take pictures of the exquisite, sparkling nighttime skyline. Anthony, our tour guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgable, pointing out buildings and sharing tidbits of Chicago's history with us along the way. Bobby's Bike Hike turned out to be the highlight of my trip and is a must-do for anyone looking to experience Chicago for the first time!
Daniel Shafron
Toured the Southside Gangster Tour this weekend and was extremely impressed. Energetic tour guide with loads of information about the history of this great city coupled with a really nice bike ride travelling through many neighborhoods. What an amazing way to see the city, Based on this tour, we will be taking the other tours this summer that Bobby's Bike Hike has to offer. Stopped for some great pizza along the way also. The pace was fairly easy and the route mostly made use of the bike lanes or paths in the city.
Teresa Goebel
We really enjoyed this bike tour. Gabe and Nate were awesome tour guides. Very knowledgeable about the city of Chicago! We loved the food and drinks! Perfect day!
Catherine Clark
My tour guide was Michael. I took the 3 hour landscape bike ride. It takes you into the neighbourhoods, which is a change from the city skyscraper sights. Michael knows his city well and has many fun facts about the city of Chicago. He made sure everyone was comfortable on their bikes and that all was in working order. He reviewed safety signals and what to expect when riding the streets. The tour ended on the lake with AWESOME city views. The ride was not difficult, easy pace. Enough stops and time to take pictures. Thanks Michael for giving us a great time, in windy and 60 degree weather!
Morgan Restaino
We did the Lakefront neighborhood bike tour. It was great! Lots of cool stops and information. Our tour guide, Nick, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining. A must do in Chicago!
Kristi Ashby
It was a great ride through the city. We rode through a lot of neighborhood streets which kept us out of a lot of traffic. The neighborhood streets are heavily shaded which is very nice on a sunny day! The ride along the lakefront is great too!
ellen norton
Ro was super fun and knowledgeable. Bike ride very flat and easy. Lots of variety in interesting neighborhoods, well known Chicago highlights as well as hidden gems, iconic eateries/craft beer , and returned along the lake. I’d recommend it for any level of biker. Fun and learned a lot!
Joe Juracich
A really fun tour guide and a great place to see. The Bobby's Bike Hike folks are cool and I really liked learning about Chicago while riding around Chicago! Any nervousness I had initially disappeared as the tour started. They do a great job!
Britni Jech
I had never been on a bike tour before and was nervous about the 13 mile ride, since I hadn't ridden a bike in years. Tim, our tour guide was hilarious and had so many fun and interesting facts. The weather was perfect, the pace was great! I would highly recommend this to everyone, even if you haven't been on a bike in years- I will be taking more city bike tours as I travel!
Heather Atkins
We went on the Lakeshore Neighborhoods bike tour with Liz recently and had an absolute blast. She was so friendly and energetic, it really added to the whole experience. She did a wonderful job of going over the rules of the road and how we would be going about biking in a group in the downtown core. She made all moves, turns, and traffic very clear to us and I felt completely safe the entire time. Liz wasn't afriad to communicate with other drivers using hand signals and actually signalled for several people to either stop or pay attention as we rolled through. She was also very polite with pedestrians and other cyclists letting them know of our passing and how many bikes they should expect to come through. She was very informative and humourous at all of the stops along the way. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone, of any physical ability. The ride was smooth and never strenuous. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned the following day and rented a couple of bikes for the full day (at a discounted rate since we had been on a tour the previous day). Bobby's Bike Hike is a great place to come for bike rentals and tours in Chicago. The next time we come back to the city, we will be back at Bobby's!!!
Jeanelle kayy
Thank you Dylan for an amazing time on our food tour. We enjoyed all the spots we went to and do not regret going on it one bit. :) loved all the food history as well!
Dale Libby
My wife and I are foodies and we really enjoyed the food tour of Chicago...Mikkel was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and made the historical food tour very enjoyable and interesting...especially with the very cold weather 🙂...we would highly recommend anyone to take this tour...especially with Mikkel. As small business owners we appreciate the enthusiasm of employees which makes all the difference in the world to any customer...Mikkel is such an employee...GREAT JOB !!!! (Dale & Joylee)
SO KO
Jeff is simply amazing!!! Bike shop done 100% right. They’ll fix you up, make sure you have all the right gear and are all set for the road ahead. Absolutely love these guys! Highly recommend to all!
Nathan Naylor
Amazing experience with Gabe on the Bikes, Bites and Brews Tour. Can’t recommend it enough. The food and beer are top notch and Gabe really knew his stuff. Excellent attention to social distancing and cleanliness for a safe and fun experience during the pandemic. Can’t wait to come back!
Leticia Emi Nomura
My boyfriend and I did the bike tour visiting brewery, pizza place, cupcake store and we were impressed on how well organized it was. We were VIP everywhere and had a blast!
The guide Pat (or Patrick) was knowledgeable, entertaining and responsible.
I highly recommend their service for food/beer lovers!
Nick Tzoumas
Bobby’s bike hike is an authentic Chicago experience. Do yourself a favor and get on a bike and learn about our beautiful city from friendly people who care. You cannot go wrong!
shay delaney
Our tour was amazing. I was interning here for the summer and chose to do this tour when by boyfriend came to visit. Mike was our tour guide and he was great. Not to mention what a great way to see Chicago, be healthy, and be green! You will not be disappointed with this tour. I would recommend this to everyone I know visiting Chicago, even ones that are already familiar with the area. I hope we can do this tour again when we return :-)
Oh yeah, don't forget to stretch when your done!
Eddie Lange
Great tour! Nice easy ride through 7 miles of beautiful lake side paths. Courtney was a great guide. Very informative with some humor thrown in. Would have liked a little more time at some of the points of interest but other than that, highly recommend.
Queen Oasis
This place is awesome and the tour guide Mark was the best. If you want to go on a bike tour of Chicago, go to Bobby's Bike Hike and ask for Mark.
Kevin Anderson
Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I took the tour of Chinatown. Our tour guide (Omar) was very friendly and entertaining - and very knowledgeable about the history and development of Chinatown. The food was wonderful and diverse, with great vegetarian options. Will recommend to anyone!
Cynthia McAllister
Courtney rocks! Our tour guide was animated, and knew her history. Food was surpassed only Company.

We went on the three hour 'Lakefront Neighborhood Tour' which was fantastic. Really great guide who was very knowledgeable, excellent bikes, nice and easy riding, very informative got to see many different parts of Chicago and learn about the City's history and development.Highly recommended.
Sandy Poeppelman
Did the City Lights at Night tour with Jonathan and it was awesome!!!. Was a bit concerned about navigating the streets at night but he kept us safe and sound. Even the small rain shower did not dampen the spirit of the ride. The skyline view from Shedd Aquarium is amazing at night! This ride was definitely the hi-light of my weekend.
I cycle regularly but in rural Ohio a nighttime ride is out of the question. What a fun way to see the city! Will definitely be back for another tour or to rent a bike and head out on the trail.
Keep your guides safe - - - - get them high-viz colored shirts (especially for the night rides)!!!
Hopefully see you in 2015!!

Planned for a 1 day rental and switched to a 3 day over the phone with ease. The whole crew was very professional and easy to work with. Best part is the easy access to the Lake Shore bike trail from the business.

Ben at Bobby’s was incredibly helpful and exhibited stellar customer service. I was renting a road bike for a triathlon in Wisconsin and they had an equipment issue with the bike I had originally reserved, so he gave me a good chunk of money off my rental. On the back end, I needed to turn in my bike a few hours later than originally expected and he was nice enough to let me bring it in later at no extra charge. I had a great experience at Bobby’s and would highly recommend!
Alexandra Lawson
Such a great experience! The food was awesome. Thomas, our guide, was incredible. He was full of fun facts, a great photographer, and very personable. 10/10 would recommend!
Jennifer Kroll
James took us on a fun, informative, delicious tour. Highly recommend

When my wife decided to sign us all up for this bike tour, I rolled my eyes, thinking this just wasn't my style. But this was hands down the best thing we did the entire trip. We did the Bites, Bikes and Brews tour and it was awesome. Evan, our tour guide, was funny and dropped some serious knowledge about the town, the restaurants and even the beer we were drinking. We saw Wrigley Field, I ate a cupcake that tasted like a snicker's bar, drank grapefruit flavored beer and, most importantly, saw the place where the salad bar was invented. Do yourself a favor and go on this tour!
Ryan Christopher
My parents were in town and the lakefront tour was a great way for them to see the city. We live in the city and we enjoyed and learned some new facts. Our tour guide was John and he did a great job. I would recommend!
Nira Cory
This tour was the best! We took the bike neighborhood tour with Nick, all of our family, including 3 teenagers had lots of fun and learned a lot about Chicago. We will definitely return and have another toor. Nick was the best guide ever
swaroop d
The tour is one of the best ways to experience Chicago on foot

Ardarius was our bike guide on our Bikes, Bites, and Brews tour. Eventhough it was 37 degrees out, cloudy, and raining, our group of 8 adventurers and one amazing tour guide set out to enjoy some of what Chicago has to offer. The bikes were easy to use and handle and Ardarius was great at giving us a tutorial and making sure our equipment fit and, yes, they supplied ponchos to keep us from getting really wet. Our tour encompassed 14 miles of Chicago with several stops including Lou Maldinado's, Swirlz Cupcakes, Murphy's Red Hots, Murphy's Bar, Theatre at the Lake and took us through several historic neighborhoods and along the lakeshore. It was an easy pace and Ardarius gave us several tips and histories of places as we went. It was also great getting to know the other people in our group! By the end, we were laughing, high-fiving each other and congratulating ourselves for making through the rain! It was a great experience and one I would highly recommend... rain or shine!
David Harkness
Gabe was outstanding and gave us highlights of the city and the food stops we experienced. He gave us tips to also help enjoy the rest of r stay. I couldn’t have been happier about r tour and r guide. One last thing they were very accommodating to reschedule another day for us after a conflict. Great company. Thanks Gabe! Dave and Cyndi

Went here on a last-ditch effort to fix the crank arm assembly on my new-ish bike. Not only did they have the part in stock, they were able to fix it for me in 10 minutes and at a fantastic price!
Would highly recommend this business for anything bike-related. They know what they are doing and have fun doing it. I'll definitely be back!
Rick Armistead
We had a great time on this tour. Our guide Julia was great, the food was was great. The pace was just right. Would recommend for adults of all ages.
Howard Cabalfin
I usually try to tour every new city by bike. Bobby's Bike tour did a great job to make the experience easy, safe for the family, and educational. Nicole, our guide, brought great energy and insights. I'd definitely do another tour with them.
Paul Roberts
Lou was the best guide. Our Wolfpack tour mates were kind and funny. Everything was chill and the dishes were awesome. Highly recommend Lou and this tour!
Andre Fisher
Our tour guide Julia was really great! She was considerate, respectful and provided a lot of great information about the city. Really great city tour.
Vasileios Tsagkalos
The guys at Bobby's are great! I booked 2 bikes for my adult children but couldn't make it to their place for pick-up. I called them and arranged it without problem. I'm glad there was someone to follow-up the case because it was kind of mixed-up with my card.
All was fine in the end, the kids enjoyed their ride and were offered some extra time for return.
Good job!
Carl Boneri
I usually don't let anyone else service my bike, but I was in a pinch. Man, let me tell you. Not only did Ben do a great job on my bike, he was totally up front and a pleasure to talk to. I'm so happy I found this shop. Absolutely will go back and would recommend for any of your needs!
Joe Moore
I did the Lakefront Neighborhood tour and would recommend it to anybody that is visiting Chicago for the first time. The pace of the tour was relaxed with plenty of stops to learn about the history of the city and take pictures and the guide was very knowledgeable.
Jieron Robinson
My friends and I signed up for a bike tour and LOVED IT! Our tour guide was Julia and she was so cool and fun. Would definitely do this again!
Mr. RM
Very efficient, friendly, a and helpful operation. We were encouraged to book on-line to save 10% from the walk-in rate. The 8 speed hybrid bikes were a good fit for the flat conditions along the lake-shore trail. I liked having the handlebar bag that was provided, which included a pump, spare tube and a lock. It even had space for my camera and phone. I give them an enthusiastic 5 stars.
Rayan Al Edreesi
Gabe was awesome. We took the ultimate Chicago tour and enjoyed it .. learned a lot about this place! The group was wonderful .. Also ask Gabe about the beach cool off special lol ! Thanks for a great time
J
Great tour. Perfectly paced. Brooke did a wonderful job keeping everyone completely engaged (even our teenaged daughter...ha!). She was a joy!
David Fink
My wife and i rented a couple of Beach cruisers fur a half day as we weren't interested in the guided tour. Awesome location right on the lake shore path close to navy pier. Helmets and locks included. Very efficient. Better than a divvy bike.
Chait Kamireddy
Had a blast with our guide Chris. We did the Neighborhood aka lakeshore tour. There was a quick pit stop to grab a beer and fries at the Lincoln Park zoo so it was probably a better setup than the Food tour. It was a lot of fun riding down crowded city streets in streeterville. Would not have done some of this stuff had we not had a large group to stop traffic with. Well worth the money and we tipped at the end.
Haley Kirchner
We had a ton of fun on this tour! Our guide was Gabe and he was fun, enthusiastic and provided us with good information on and about the tour. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good way to go around and see the city and some views!
Frank Lowenstein
Have rented here twice, once a comfort bike, once a road bike. The shop is friendly, relatively fast, and very close to the lakefront bike trail. You can see some great urban landscapes while getting exercise. Perfect! The road bike was fast, well maintained and thoroughly satisfactory. The comfort bike was also well maintained, and was indeed comfortable, but slow. If seeing more of the Chicago waterfront is the goal, go for the road bike. One other note, check which way the wind is blowing. I recommend riding against it to begin with, and saving the tailwind for the way home.
Rick Edmunds
Josie was an awesome guide!
MAmiri
Very nice and helpful folks here. Bobby's Bike Hike is located at the very southern end of the Lake Shore trail. So you could easily get a bike and go up north on the trail and then come back down south. The only issue I had was that they rent only for a min. of two hours for 21 bucks, which is a bit pricey, I mean the rate is basically "tourist rate!" I wish at least they would give the customer an hour option for let's say 10$. This causes a lot of folks to go rent the poorly built, but cheaper, city bikes that start from 3 dollars an hour and are a couple feet east of Bobby's on the city bike stands.
Donna Lichtfuss
This is the second bike tour I've done with Bobby's Bike Hike. The latest was the gangster tour with Nick. The weather was horrible, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. Nick was enthusiastic and positive and considerate. He added a stop for hot tea to warm us up from the rain. :) We remembered a lot about the gangsters partially because he used their names a lot while explaining their gangster roles. Good for him! All in all we laughed a lot, got some exercise, and learned about gangsters. I highly recommend Bobby's for a different experience.
Don Hurst
Rented 2 bikes for myself and son to ride on the lakeshore. Staff was friendly & helpful; I used their website to rent & received a 10% discount-there’s also a link for discounted parking. Great place to do business with, they also have bike tours and repairs.
John Boylan
Very energetic guide but group was so spread out that you couldn’t hear about the sites we rode past. Rushed to return to their store at the end of the tour which tasked my wife beyond what I consider a moderate pace and created a sizable gap between the front of the group and the back half that stayed with my wife and myself. Guide drove for a few miles before finally pulling over to check on the back half of the group. We didn’t want to hold them back and told them to proceed. We eventually returned to their store on our own but the whole experience was less than desirable.
Ian Masters
Incredible tour of the city and Gabe our tour guide was amazing!
Nathan Gomez
Brooke was an incredible guide! Very good mix of guiding the group, history, and interpersonal banter. Very well done! Food was excellent as well.
Leigh Wang
Prime location for starting your bike ride. I've rented half day bikes a couple of times, and the bikes were in great condition, and included are locks, helmets, a mini map of routes, a tire kit, and most bikes have a water bottle holder. The location is great because right across the street is the underpass to get to the lake front trail where you can decide to ride north or south. It's a great way to see the chicago lake front, and great exercise too. The bikes have bells and 10 speeds, so you are well equipped to go into crowded areas, or for handling various elevations.
Cindy Jorge
A must do for anyone visiting Chicago. Our tour guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the tour stops and Chicago overall. The food stops were great and the food and beer was delicious! Definitely recommend!
Brett Adams
We had Brittany as our tour guide and had a wonderful time. Considering there are all levels of bike riders in the group it was a great day for everyone. Brittany was friendly and informative on the tour. Would recommend
Craig Olsen
Our guide (Ben) was very knowledgeable of the history of Chinatown and its roots in China. We had 4 stops in total: Dim Sum, Custard Tarts, Lamb Sandwich with Bubble Tea and Hot Pot. All the food we sampled was excellent and things we wouldn't have ordinarily ordered. The final stop was Chinatown square where you can peruse the shops and buy some souvenirs or get a smoothie at a local landmark. If you have never been to Chinatown in Chicago, this is a must-do!
Andy Schmitt
Great bike ride and fun way to see Chicago! Had a great time and learned alot from our awesome guide Bex! Would definitely recommend and I will be taking one of their other tours next time I'm in town.
Samuel ACHILLE
Difficult to say any other thing that our experience with Bobby's Bike has been really good and convenient. It's been fast and we helped us to understand the city system and how Chicago works.
The 2 roadbikes rent were almost all new and a rare thing, we gave us everything to change a flat tire. Full service for the same price, you can't pick better in Chicago.
WE TRIED IT AND WE DEFINITELY APPROVE :))
Samuel and Thomas
Corey Bitterman
Sunday afternoon in late Sept, absolutely beautiful day. Did the neighborhood tour with Eddie. He was informative and entertaining. Would have liked to try a longer tour but my schedule kept me busy when those started. Would do again if I come back to Chicago.
Quincy Rose
My group had the BEST time! The Greatest Hits was an awesome ride through Chicago's history with stops at all the places you come to Chicago to see. We even got hotdogs at Millenneum Park. Would do it again!
Thomas MacLeod
We just wanted to rent a couple of decent bicycles for a half day to ride along the shoreline, and this place was conveniently located and hassle free. Price includes a helmut, bike lock, and a decent map of different bike routes. They made sure that our bicycles were the right size and adjusted for us. Would definitely recommend Bobby's Bike Rental
Note: we walked out of a different bicycle rental shop that was just a little bit closer to Navy Pier when they wanted us to physically leave a credit card or both our drivers licenses as security. This place also had a two page rental agreement to fill out and initial in about 10 places.
Peggy M
The Neighborhood tour is great for when you first arrive in Chicago. You cover a lot of land with the bikes. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago in the summer. The weather was lovely!
David Shih
Dropped in for a 2 hour rental on their hybrid. Rode that hike 20 miles up to Hollywood Beach and down to the aquarium. Comfy ride with enough gears to clear the very few gentle inclines. They provide a bike lock, helmet, and spare inner tube. Price online is cheaper than in-store so book online before going in. Super friendly staff and whole process was very easy.
Andrew Taylor
Takes you to parts of the city you may not otherwise go to buy didn’t really learn much apart from the stories behind the flag.
Genevieve Demers
Very friendly staff. Bikes are in very good conditions. Very organized: for a day hike, they provided us with an extra tube and the kit to change a flat tire. Best price found (if booked over the internet) for a bike rental in downtown Chicago.
Jill DO
What a great way to have fun in downtown Chicago!! Gabe, our guide, was awesome. Highly recommend this tour, food was great also!!
Paige Levin
This place is tucked behind a tall building and offers a fantastic cycling tour of the city. Ten of us set out for a private excursion that took us along the lake, through the city, and by famous landmarks. Tim, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny, patient, and focused on safety. Fantastic all around! #Chicago #SightSeeing #BikeTour
Matthew Woody
My son surprised us with a bike tour for my birthday. Great idea. Good company. Tour guide Gabe did a great job. Informative and fun way to spend the afternoon.
Lucie Schulz
Great bike tours around the city of Chicago. Funny tour guides with a lot of knowledge of each neighborhood. We really enjoyed the Lake Front Tour and did it twice.
William Hoadley
Had a great tour with Nick around Chicago. He was knowleadge and not only covered a brief history of the city but was concerned for the safety of thw group.
Thank.you Nick had a great ride and learned a great deal about the city.
Jeremy Miller
Our guide Tim was awesome. Very fun, knowledgable. Bike pace was a bit slow for me but most would like it. Great food/beer stops. Great way to see Chicago!
Annette Osbern
Brooke was an a waxing tour guide!! She was fun, knowledgeable and kept us safe!! I would definitely recommend going on the tour and making sure Brooke is your guide!!
Linda Coper
The people here have treated my friends and I great. If you need help filling your tires they have 4 stations to do so outside and they will assist you if needed. The promote good vibes and their business by doing this.
Erika Soublet
The tour so nice, we did it twice. In two days. Some people would say this is crazy. Riding a total of about 20 miles in Chicago in the middle of July with the heat and humidity. Especially when you haven’t been on a bike in a long time. And never ridden on the crazy streets of downtown Chicago. But I thought it was a great way to see the city. And I was right.
I was originally silently skeptical when my friend told me we were doing a bike tour (see above). But Erica, our guide on 7/5, was great and made the tour a blast. The pace was perfect for me-never felt like I was lagging behind and never heard any requests to speed it up. Except for one incident with a pedestrian who was too busy talking on his cellphone to notice the huge bike tour going past him, there were no problems with pedestrians or drivers. We saw a ton of the city and learned some of its history all while burning off some of the food we ate on the 4th.
And because we had so much fun, we booked the Southside Gangster tour for the following day. George the guide and Mark the helper were great. Our tour was huge in terms of size and we didn’t have any issues. Even though there was a ton of traffic—pedestrians and cars—out on 7/6, drivers were nice and the pedestrians were more aware of their surroundings.
If you are considering doing the tour in the hot weather months, do the earliest possible tour in the day. Wear shorts and light colored clothing. Hydrate before and bring water with you—BBH does sell water there. Leave the big bag at home—you can fit everything you need on the tour in the bag on the bike. Bring cash for snacks at the rest stop and to tip your tour guide. If you are considering buying a t-shirt, they seem to run small.
Suggestions for BBH: The t-shirts are great—awesome design. But they run small. And lots of people do not. Perhaps you could switch to a different t-shirt brand, one that offers shirts in true-to-size sizes and regular fit, as opposed to just slim fit. Selling hats would be a great way for free marketing for you and a great way to cover up helmet-head hair that riders have after the tour. Selling water bottles with the logo on it would also be great free marketing—anyone out in the heat of Chicago in the summer should be drinking a ton of water. Perhaps offering a frequent tour discount--$5 off if you book two tours in 3 days? Finally, limiting the size of the Southside Gangster tour would be wise. We had over 20 and that was really big given where we went on the tour.
Abhishek Achar
The tour itself was great and hit great spots through downtown, Lincoln Park, and the Gold Coast. Bikes were comfy with bags. They had great recommendations on what to see. Student pricing available. I would highly recommend them over and over.
Ricardo Assemat
These guys offer really fun tours. I'm not a great biker and ended up having a lot of fun in their food/beer/sights tour with Mike as our guide. Thanks for a great intro into parts of Chicago that I would have not seen otherwise.
Jake Mlsna
We have been on numerous food tours. Teddy was great as a guide and the stops and portions were top notch. Felt very authentic for Chicago
Dan Epley
This was a great tour with a lot of interesting stops. The pace was great, and it was a lot of fun to ride through the city and along the lake front. I would recommend setting aside time while in Chicago to take one of these tours.
Miguel González
This is a tour you will not want to miss. With the excellent guidance of Jonathan, this was more than just a ride through Chicago, we had fun, we visited beautiful places and we learned a little bit of history.
Definitely a must!
Kefu Du
The tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable and brought excitement to the entire trip. He also looked out for every biker in the group and was good at directing traffic to ensure each one gets through.
Chris Good
Rented a bike for a half day and was impressed with the quality and comfort of the bike and that they included a flat tire kit. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The rentals are a little pricey if you're on a budget but in this case I'd say it's worth it
Joanne Parker
We loved our food bike tour. Cole was very informative and directed an easy safe ride. I would totally recommend this tour for any foodie that wants a bit of excersise and a tour of various neighborhoods.
Brian Wells
This tour of Chicago was amazing, I really enjoyed seeing sites of Chicago which would have been impossible by foot or car. Nate was a pretty awesome tour guide. Can’t wait until next visit to Chicago to rent bikes.
Roselle Grant
Amazing experience! Comfortable bikes! I've lived in Chicago almost 4 years now and have seen places I hadn't known existed. ELLIOIT is also an amazing tour guide! Whoop Whoop!
Caleb Shaffer
This was an amazing experience! We took the sunset ride and it was absolutely spectacular, our supervisor DK( I believe that's how you spell it) was very energetic and fun. My family and I are definitely coming back very soon and I recommend you take part in this activity!
Deep Bandyopadhyay
The tour was good but we felt we were rushed from everywhere. The food variety was minimal and not completely thought through. Will recommend if you have never been to Chicago at all.
Christopher Ashley
Either Gabe enjoys his job or he is a tremendously talented actor (in fact, he's both). My wife and I lucked into being the only two on our cold November tour and connected well with Gabe and enjoyed his stories and factoids and whatnot.
Meghan Neveau
Our bike tour was great! Peter did an awesome job of guiding us around and stopping to point out neat sites! I would highly recommend a bike tour with Bobby’s bike hike!!
Jennifer Larsen
A great way to learn about the area and get a little exercise and have a little fun! Great pizza! Our guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor!
Jo Jo Russo
My rental road bike from Bobby's Bike shop was wonderful. It was comfortable helping me finish my ITU World Triathlon on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Everyone at the shop was wonderful and courteous. Check in and check out the bike process was speedy. I would recommend renting the bike from Bobby's to everyone. Thank you to everyone at Bobby's.
Maike Zachrau
Great way to See the town, the Lights and to learn about some Background Stories. Omar is a great Guide and managed to mix interessting facts about the town with funny personal experiences. Definitly recommended.
Haridas Attur
Rented a bike for 6 hours from this place. They provided helmet with the bike. This place also has bike tours and stuff. The bike was ok, I did have trouble with pushing it forward on slopes, something to do with the gear design. I was already in the lowest gear and was sitll very hard to move it forward. Any case, I was happy with the rental and biking along lakefront trail was nice.
Iain Schmitt
Scheduled a *super* last minute road bike rental with Bobby's this weekend. Staff was great, bike was well maintained, and had lockers on site so I didn't have to wear a backpack in full kit. Five stars!
Emily Douglas
This was a great tour for our family. Nick J knee how to engage our 8 year old as his co-captain. It was informational and a beautiful way to see Chicago. Highly recommend.

We took the Lakefront Neighborhoods Bike Tour. Our tour guide Nick was highly knowledgeable and provided a great tour. This tour is highly recommended.
Robert DiMartino
We rented a tandem bicycle on Memorial Day. We reserved it on line to get to the 10% discount. About 5 miles in the bike ride, the chain broke. We called Bobby's and they told us where the nearest bike shop was, but when we got there we found out the bike shop was closed for Memorial Day. We called Bobby's again, and they sent an employee to come find us and swap our tandem bike for another. We were obviously bummed when the chain broke, but Bobby's really took care of us and handled the situation well. Great customer service. They saved Memorial Day.
Shelly Ahn
Tried out the holiday hike. Wonderful tour guide named Mike who provided exceptional service. As a Chicagoan, there is a great selection of classic locations and treats.
Judy DeDonato
Great way to see parts of Chicago that you would never have the chance to see on your own. Highly recommended. Maddy was a wonderful tour guide on the Neighborhoods tour!
Nicola David
GREAT TOUR. I felt so bad I had to leave quickly as soon as we got back to shop and forgot to TIP the tour guide. He knew all our names!! Good job guys. The highlight of my trip:)
Sara Monroe
Rented bikes. We were offered the insurance but did not take it because for $5 it only covers HALF of whatever repair. However, if something breaks they say they will fix it free of charge if you bring it back to them. The man who wrung us up was friendly, and he said they service the bikes so they don't usually have issues. We got about 2 or 2.5 miles out and the tire is flat. It looked very worn so I wasn't surprised. We start walking back, and the brake locks up, so we have to carry the rear end of the bike. We call them like they said to do and they told us a bike shop was near where we could fix it. "Near" was a mile, awkwardly carrying/rolling a fairly heavy-framed bike. When we return to Bobby's, we did complain because it seemed like we were fixing the bike's normal wear and tear that they should have been able to anticipate. They offered to reimburse half of the fix cost which I guess is okay. But here's my issue: it seems like a racket! Do they REALLY service the bikes or wait till a customer is too far out with a problem and must pay themselves (thus cutting the businesses costs)? They should cover all normal wear and tear because we sure didn't use that tire to the point of needing a new tube. Sure, you ride like an idiot and crash and bend the frame, your fault. But extremely worn tire that goes completely flat after 2 miles on the paved bike path that millions of bikes ride down without incident, not your fault. How easy for them to get free fixes on their rental bikes! There are plenty of bike rental locations; I wouldn't risk them again.
Amy Owen
Great fun and educational! I took 6 teenagers on a bike tour and everyone had a blast! Fun for all ages and skill levels! Mark was a fantastic guide!
