We took the brew tour in Burlington last Sunday and we had a great time! Ours was a bit of an unorthodox tour, as the tour bus had some issues that day (happens). City tours called us and warned us of the problem and delay which was fine, as we were being picked up at our hotel. They resolved the problem quickly and our guide was there and ready to go within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time. Our guide Lauren was fantastic! She handled the mishap with grace and without skipping a beat. City tours had to have Ubers take us from brewery to brewery which worked out perfectly fine in the end. On to the tour itself, we were a smaller group, which I loved! We stopped at 4 locations and we sampled A LOT of beer. (I don’t understand the reviews saying you barely get 3 drinks because by the end of it my husband and I could barely drink the last beers) We got behind the scenes tours at 2 of the breweries. Goodwater was my personal favorite. Lauren gave us a phenomenal history lesson along the way, which I fully nerded out to. All in all, it was a really fun experience that both, my husband and I, would recommend trying!

The Burlington Brew Tour was awesome! Our Guide/Driver Patrick was knowledgeable, personable and very friendly. The four breweries we went to all had a different specialty and the beer sampling was top rate. It was nice not to be worried about driving from brewery to brewery. City Brew Tours did a wonderful job helping to organize a private tour for 13 people. From the initial contact with a sales rep, to brewery and meal recommendations, to the convenient email updates and online payment the process was smooth. Our guide, Mikala, was knowledgeable and personable. She kept us on track throughout the day and had many personal insights regarding the Burlington brewery scene to share.

My husband and I did the Classic Brew Tour through Burlington yesterday, and we could not be more impressed with the City Brew Tours experience - the caliber of the tour itself, the breweries we visited, and our tour guide all exceeded our expectations. The cost was more than reasonable for the beer and food that were included. The booking process was simple and smooth; the tour ran efficiently without us feeling rushed. Our guide, Kianna, was warm, funny, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable. Her narration of the history of beer in between stops was humorous and educational! Lastly, each of the breweries we visited were welcoming and friendly, and the brews and food we sampled were top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend City Brew Tours to anyone looking to enjoy local craft brews in a fun, unique way without worrying about driving.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing tour with Kianna last night! She was super fun, easy to get along with, and had us laughing the entire time. The experience was quite educational as well, it was sweet learning the history of beer and how it’s made. We had so much fun with all our new friends we met, we wish we could’ve spent more time with everyone! Very excited for more city brew tours in the future

Was my first brew tour and it was awesome! Tour guide Lindsey and her two shadows were so great! Really friendly and laid back. Tour was efficient and fun never felt rushed always willing to wait for anyone that needed it. Group was fun! We will definitely do again!

Such a fun tour of local breweries around Burlington! Camden was an amazing tour guide - we had 4 separate stops including Frost (great IPAs!), Queen City, and Vermont Pub & Brewery of Burlington. The day flew by as we had behind the scenes tours, tried multiple different beers and had lunch along the way. This is a must while in Burlington if you want to explore the area easily and enjoy delicious local beer!

Our group was fun and the recommendations on different things to do in Vermont as well as drinks to try at each place was spot on, would def recommend!!

We had so much fun on our brewery adventure! Most of us were locals with a few people from out of state. But the experience of being shuttled around and having plans made for us created a delightfully easy night full of good beer and food. Patrick our guide was wonderful. Had a private tour for a bachelor party and we had a great time! Kianna was super knowledgeable and friendly and fun to hang out with. The beers were great and we really enjoyed seeing where the magic happens at Weird Window (though we would have liked to try more beers there). Easy pick up and drop off and Kianna also left our pint glasses and beers outside our house under an umbrella for us. So kind! Recommend.

Decent experience, much cheaper than taking Uber/Lyft/taxi around. Our tour guide Camden was a great host and an even better hang for our private tour for my friend's bachelor party. I was a little disappointed that the bachelor party package lists some food ("craft beer pretzel snack") but we weren't given any snacks as part of our package, that cost extra. For a group of 8 you're not going to get cheaper available transportation on Uber or Lyft these days. It was a good experience and we tried over 12 beers each. Each brewery also had non-alcoholic options if you have a friend who doesn't drink, including kombucha and root beer.

I did the classic brew tour with my boyfriend as a birthday gift for him. Kianna was our tour guide and she was amazing! I had a non-drinking ticket and I still had a great experience and my boyfriend really enjoyed himself and loved trying all the different beer! Definitely would recommend for a fun afternoon and would definitely do another tour !

I took my groomsmen and myself to Vermont, and we decided to book a tour from the best. Kianna, our beer guide, has been extremely down to earth and fun to hang around during the tour. She is knowledgeable and does her job well. We took a tour of 3 breweries including a lunch stop for pizza. This was my first brewery tour, and I was more than satisfied. My husband and I did the Classic Tour in Burlington VT and it was fantastic! We got to drink great beer and eat some amazing pizza. Best part of our tour was our guides Kiana (and Wyatt - he was shadowing and learning the ropes from her)! Kiana was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and was able to get a group strangers partying like we knew each other forever. We recommend this tour and company if you are into beer. If you are in Burlington and get Kiana, consider it the beer gods smiling down on you!

Rob was an excellent host. We visited Burlington for the first time ever and hit their re-opening tour. I learned a ton of information about beer and it’s history, and we were toured around the area to some of the top breweries. Great beer selection, extremely informative, and a cool tour through Greater Burlington. My wife and I went to Burlington, VT (from Ottawa, ON) just for this tour. We wanted to check out the local craft beer scene there as we had heard lots of good stuff about it. Let's just say we were not disappointed! We had a great time. Ian our beer guide was very knowledgeable and funny. He was very organized and professional. The beer on the tour was fantastic and our group was great, too. We will definitely go back for one of the other tours!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with City Brew tours! Our tour guide Rob and his trainee Chris were awesome! They gave us lots of information about beer and the breweries that we went to as well as some local history and made it fun in the process. Folinos pizzeria was sooo good! We had three different pizzas, each better than the last. It was a great day, great beer and great food. Shout out to Ashley and Will who took the tour with me, my husband, son and his lady love. Everyone of us got along well which made it a very chill and enjoyable day!

Such a great beer tour! We have been on previous beer tours in other cities and none of them compare to this one! Rob was a great tour guide who filled our drive time with knowledge about the history of beer and facts about Burlington. My boyfriend and I went on the day time tour for our anniversary trip to Burlington. It was hands down the most fun experience we had during the entire trip! Matt was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the group we had could not have been any more fun to be with! You don't have to be a pro to enjoy the beers and breweries (or the awesome pizza) and if you are ready to have some fun, get a sweet buzz on and make new friends I HIGHLY recommend taking this tour!!!!!!!

Our tour guide, Kevin, was incredibly friendly, and immediately established a fun, casual atmosphere between our disparate groups of attendees. He was also an exceptionally safe driver. We visited three breweries, stopping to have lunch at a fourth location, barnyard pizza, for lunch along the way. Each stop was unique, a ton of fun, and had its own charm. For a reasonable price, this was a great way to spend an afternoon, learn a little about world and local history, and try some new beers you've probably never even heard of before.

We participated in the Burlington, Vermont city brew tour. Our brew guide, Rob, was beyond phenomenal. Funny, personable, knowledgeable, you name it, he was everything you could want in a tour guide. His vast knowledge of beer was matched equally by his wealth of knowledge regarding Vermont’s unique craft brewery history. Further, the three breweries we went to, Magic Hat, Switchback, and Zero Gravity provided enough variety and taste to fulfill any beer lover’s desires. Rob was the epitome of professionalism and the beer was simply delicious. This is a great way to punctuate any Burlington trip.

Just left Burlington VT and still thinking about my brewery tour! Our guide was Matt and he was so much fun. He made sure everyone was taken care of and catered to. I had a few girlfriends who didn’t want to drink beer all day long and he made sure they were given local ciders or local maple sparkling water.. I thought it was really special how he made everyone feel included and also not pressured. Tip and gratuity is included in the tour but we gave Matt a bit extra for being so awesome and really going out of his way! We’ll be back!

What an awesome evening! My friend and I went up for the weekend looking to check out the Burlington Beer scene and look no further than this tour! Chris/Todd helped get us booked, customer service was awesome! Soren was our guide and was super knowledgeable about all the breweries and beer, if I go on another tour I would definitely want Soren as the guide again! They found beers that everyone loved at each stop and the wood fired pizza dinner was a crowd pleaser. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun night out or trying to find some great new craft beers!

We had two other fun couples do the tour with us (from Utah and NY). We are looking forward to going back to do the day tour in April. Kevin brought our tour group of 14 to Switchback, Barnyard for lunch, Good Water and Queens City. I never get rushed and had a very informative and delicious experience at every stop. My guide Soren was phenomenal. I had a great time hitching onto a group as a solo traveler. Met some interesting folks and tasted beers from Magic Hat, Halyard (alcoholic ginger beer) and Goodwater. Pizza was excellent too. I ended up ordering a fantastic ginger beer cocktail at Halyard because I liked the sample so much. Highly recommend this tour for individuals and groups.

I have to say, we went up to VT just to tour breweries. When we came across the option for someone to drive us around, you bet that we decided to do that. Our Tour Guide picked us up in the Center of Burlington, as they said that they weren't able to pick us up at the hotel, which seemed odd as the first stop that we went to, was just around the corner from our hotel. But that is my only complaint. We were greeted by Matt, our tour guide, and he was very polite and tried to get the group talking to each other. He also had a lot of neat tips about the area. We went to four breweries and got to tour and taste at all by Fiddlehead...that was just Lunch and tastings...but we got there for a limited release in can...and was able to get the last six pack. And the pizza that we had for lunch was amazing.... After lunch was another brewery and then a ride back to our pickup spot... I have to way, Matt was very knowledgeable about the breweries we visited and the process as well...we discussed a few things about brewing, the beers and other various topics. If you have the chance to do this tour, I would suggest that you do.

We had an amazing time on our City Brew Tour in Burlington, VT. Our tour guide was Frank and he did not disappoint one bit! Throughout the tour, he was very informative regarding the history of beer and how it started the beer revolution amongst our society! When I booked the tour I was excited to go to Magic Hat brewery, though, when he informed us of our itinerary, Magic Hat wasn't listed as a stop for our specific tour. It was no big deal, as myself and my husband planned on visiting Magic Hat after our tour. We picked up the rest of the parties that were booked for our tour time and headed out to our first stop at Switchback Brewery. Frank was awesome in explaining the hops and barely process and explained how to properly enjoy a beer and gather the taste for never tried beers. Just like wine, 1st sip swish to cleanse the palate, second sip, hold and allow to seep into your tastebuds, and 3rd sip will let you know if you truly like the beer or it's not for you. We then went to lunch at Barnyard Pizza stop and tried a few beers there and had some amazing pizza that normally I wouldn't try with my husband as he's a man of simple taste. The Apple, Onion and bacon pizza drizzled with maple syrup was amazing! Because other people in our party wanted to also visit Magic Hat after the tour, Frank contacted the big guns and got approval to redirect our 3rd stop from the original brewery we were supposed to go to, to go to Magic Hat instead!!! 100 points to Frank!!! The tour at Magic Hat was incredible and I was soo happy to FINALLY visit the brewery! We ended our tour at Queen City Brewery and I enjoyed their scotch stout beer...correct me if I got that wrong. Throughout the tour Frank was very informative, and interacted with our group instead of just leaving us alone during lunch or during our beer stops. I definitely will be looking into another tour with this company again, preferably Boston (as I am from Massachusetts) and Maine! Well worth every penny!!!! Because of Frank, I cant wait to come back to Burlington and request a tour with him again! Unless, can we request him for the Boston tour??!? Lol. We learned about the brew process, and if we had any questions, our tour guide, Matt, was always ready and willing to give an answer! Just a fun friendly time.

Perfect experience. We came to Burlington mostly to tour breweries, and this saved us the trouble of having to drive. We took the Classic Tour on a Saturday. Matt picked us up at our hotel, and we went to Magic Hat, Fiddlehead, Queen City, and Switchback. Matt was a great tour guide- super friendly, fun to chat with, and knows his stuff when it comes to beer. He's been doing this for a long time and has good relationships with the breweries. He was even able to score us some limited release cans at Fiddlehead! It was a great deal, and a great experience. I absolutely recommend it.

Our Burlington Brew Tour was everything we hoped it would be! We visited Vermont Pub and Brewery, American Flatbread/Zero Gravity, Switchback, and Magic Hat. Our tour guide, Matt, had a plethora of information about all the breweries and beers that they offer and he was very fun to chat with as well. We live in the Burlington area and even though we have visited some places before, we were blown away by the amount of new information, perspectives, and behind the scenes looks that we received. We are already planning on doing another tour! Overall it was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend it.

Our tour guide was really good. She knew her information and made sure we were taken care of. That being said, I think I was expecting more from the tours (company wise, not tour guide wise). I thought it would be more "behind the scenes" than just a visit to the tasting room and view though a window looking at the brewery floor. The highlight tour wise was the VT brew pub where we were actually taken down to the basement brewery.

It was fun, but not exactly as advertised, perhaps because we had a substitute driver. Pick-up was a bit confusing, there were no actual brewery tours, there was no discussion whatsoever of beer pairings, and one brewery wasn't expecting us so we had to go to a different one. We enjoyed it nonetheless.

Great tour. Started with some good history of craft beer on the east coast, lunch beer pairing was cool and taught us a bit about flavor of food vs best style to drink with it, then following breweries rounded out the day. Great way to spend a few hours on a lazy Sunday. P.S. I know logistics would be tough but an NYC tour would be awesome!

What a great way to close out 2013! We went to 5 different breweries (Vermont Pub and Brewery, American Flatbread/Zero Gravity, Switchback, Fiddlehead and Magic Hat) We were able to taste a wide range of some seriously great craft beers. Special shout-out to Steve from Vermont Pub and Brewery who delivered my left behind purse to me and was a great conversationalist - we learned so much. Lunch at American Flatbread was delicious. Every brewery was very attentive and ensured that we were able to sample everything they offered. I have now added 8 new beer glasses to my growing collection :) Many thanks to Matt who was well informed, passionate about brewing, answered all of our questions and is a really easy going guy. I highly suggest this tour!!

The best things to me about this tour are: (1) meeting new people and friends on the tour, (2) not having to think about how much beer you drink because you've got transportation, and (3) the interesting information and statistics about Burlington that the guide gives along the way. The experience differs from one brewery to the next. Some give small pours/tasters that you could get for minimal cost, while others provide a normal flight or a good-sized pour of a couple of their beers. Lastly - a tip for the lunchtime tour. Our guide picked up a growler and some cans for us to enjoy with our food, and this was more than enough beer for us. You can't take the open growler back on the bus, but you can take unopened cans. So if you can work it out with everyone on the tour, be sure to finish the growler, and any unopened cans that remain can be divided up when it's time to go.
