This tour was so much fun! Janet was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and made everything interesting. Loved the food stops - don’t eat before! Also liked that it was small group so we got a chance to chat with other travelers from all over the US. Highly recommend this tour and Janet, the wonderful tour guide.
We LOVED the North End Food to Freedom walking your with Bob Hornstein! So much delicious food and amazing history, and Bob made it extra special with his personal stories and recommendations. If you’re new to Boston or lived here all your life, you’ll live this tour.
Me and my family went on the Boston: North End to the Freedom Trail food and history tour, which was amazing and incredibly informative. Our tour guide, Tim, was a walking encyclopedia of Boston and presented the history of the city in a charismatic and entertaining way. All of the places that Tim took us had amazing food, especially in the North End, where we had some of the best, freshly baked bread that I have ever tasted. Additionally, Tim recommended my family and I other amazing restaurants and breweries in the city that we visited during the rest of our time in the city. I would easily recommend this tour to anyone who wanted to learn about Boston's history while also eating at amazing restaurants that you might not otherwise find during your visit.
Sully was an excellent tour guide! He was knowledgeable and answered questions before I could even ask him. The stops were also wonderful. Lots of history and tasty food that there was no way that I would have found on my own. Would definitely book a tour with them again (and ask for Sully)!
Connor was a great tour guide. We enjoy doing food tours whenever we travel to a new city. This one was excellent!
Loved this North End Food Tour! Bob was a great tour guide sharing lots of interesting history and lesser known facts. He made sure everyone was included, was very friendly, and helpful. I loved being shown the spots where the locals frequent that are lesser known to tourists. The food was delicious as well. Very enjoyable morning :)
Sully was amazing. One of my sons favorite all time tours and a hit with the whole family. Would highly recommend. History, food and some personal stories and pop culture info mixed in as well.
I did the Seaport tour with Sully today and I had the best time! I grew up in Boston and didn't realize the rich maritime history of the Seaport district. Sully told fascinating stories about the area. He is definitely a Bostonian that is proud of his city. He was fantastic! The seafood on the tour was delicious. The Chowder at James Hook was the best I've had. We also had shrimp cocktail and a lobster roll at a couple of other great spots. I would recommend this tour for any seafood lover. Yummy!
Visited Boston for a few days and luckily got in on this Seafood walking tour of Boston!! One of my favorite things I did while visiting this city! The Seafood was DELICIOUS!! Dylan made the tour even better with his abundant knowledge of the city. It was a seafood and history tour all in one! We didn’t have to wait at any restaurants, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable process! Highly would recommend this tour!!
This food tour prompted my first experience trying lobster, and I could not have been more pleased! The lobster rolls were generously portioned and absolutely delectable. Our insightful and knowledgeable tour guide, Conner, really made the tour experience come to life. As we walked between our locations, he provided in-depth commentary about the historic significance of our surroundings, and he was keenly aware of Boston's rich historical landscape. We had a blast on this tour, and I'd highly recommend touring with Conner!
Great tour and I highly recommend. I have taken many food tours in different cities. This tour is heavy on history and medium on food. We had delicious fresh bread, an amazing cannoli & cappuccino, Italian sandwich, and Sicilian pizza. While most food tours I’ve taken I feel like I couldn’t eat ever again, this one added up to about a regular meal. Bob was extremely informative, lively, and an overall joy to be around. Honestly my favorite part of the tour was being shown around the north end and the food was secondary. Splendid!
Corine did a great job telling the stories and history of Boston. She was personable and knowledgeable about the food and area. The food we had was delicious and she made some great recommendations for places to dine The only thing we would change would be to drop the bar stop and add more food.
WOW! What an informative and entertaining tour. I learned so much about Boston and American history from this tour. The food we had in the historic North End neighbourhood was great, authentic, and out of the sight of other tourists, which is the my preferred way. I'm not a fan of big touristy spots; and if you're one of those people looking for authenticity, then this is the one. Our guide Bob was so knowledgeable, passionate and eager to pass on that information to us. His cool sense of humor was a made the heat bearable. Thank you!
Excellent experience! Our guide Sully was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and informative. The restaurants and stops along the way were tasty and pleasant to visit. My wife and I along with our two teenage boys enjoyed the food and the history. If you are visiting Boston or live in the area, this tour is a must.
My wife and I did the small-group food and history north end freedom trail walking tour recently on our first trip to Boston. Great tour!! Highly recommend it. Very informative and the food was fabulous! Shout out to our tour guide, Jack! Thank you Jack, for making the tour not only extremely informative but also so much fun!
Booked the Boston Small group Food and History North end and Freedom Trail with Tim as our guide. We ate great food and Tim's knowledge of the history was great! he answered ALL questions and was a lot of fun. We got to try delicious bread, cannoli, sandwiches, pizza, and even got a beer in toward the end of the tour. Great tour and great guide! thanks Tim!
Bob Hornstein was our guide, and he did an outstanding job! He was very personable, accommodating , and polite. We learned so much about Boston’s past, present, and future. The food choices and his recommendations for future dining and shopping spots were perfect. I have been on dozens of tours in my life, and Bob ranks right at the top. It is apparent he loves his work, and being with people. I highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to take this great tour.
Bob Hornstein did a wonderful job leading an very informative tour as we ate our way through the North End. He was so gracious and accommodating to our granddaughters need for vegetarian options. His knowledge and humor made the tour one of our best moments in Boston - not to mention the delicious food! Will certainly recommend the tour (and Bob) to anyone coming to Boston. I have also included my rave review on Trip Advisor.
Amazingly fun tour. Guide Conner was super friendly and knowledgeable. He gives great restaurant recommendations for after the tour too. Highly recommend- book it!
Sully was our guide and he was fantastic. I think the tour is a great value considering the food and the history. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston. It was 96 degrees today and we still had a blast.
I had an excellent food and Freedom Trail walking tour of Boston. The first part of the day was a group tour and the second part was a private tour. Bridget was excellent in her knowledge of Boston and American history. I really enjoyed her stories as well as all of the food and historical spots we stopped at during the day.
We had an excellent day on the walking and food tour with Conner as our guide. He guided us very well and was very friendly and helpful with everyone in the group. We were especially thankful for the accommodations that he made for two of us having gluten free requirements. We thought he gave many great facts and information along the tour and shared a lot of knowledge of the area.
In June we did a Boston History & Highlights Small Group Walking Tour with Tim Mitchell. We were very fortunate to have gotten Tim as our tour guide. The breadth and depth of his knowledge is very impressive. Tim connected so many parts of history to events happening today, how our Constitution was formed, the intimate and detailed personal history of many of our Founders, the sparks of the Revolution, details of many of the significant characters involved in the Revolution. So much of this knowledge must have been obtained by doing his own extensive research. Simply impressive.
His enthusiasm for the subject and the fact that his energy was still there even near the end of the tour. In fact he seemed to become more energized the more we went.
Although we had some others on the tour who contributed to the discussion and feel of the tour, it in no way detracted from Tim’s excellent tour. Overall a great tour and an excellent guide, by far the best tour we have ever been on. We are going on a Mediterranean tour soon, I wonder if Tim could meet us there? Lol. Thanks so much Tim, your tour filled in a lot of blank spots in our knowledge of American history.
We had a wonderful tour with Bob on Mother's Day! With twin 11 year old boys it's always a bit unknown how they are going to react to an organized event. Bob was the perfect tour guide for us! He was amiable, friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. The boys felt included and really enjoyed themselves. For me, that was the best Mother's Day present of all.
Tim is a great asset to your walking food tour. He is friendly, has a wonderful personality, and is very knowledgeable about the city of Boston. We had a fantastic time, was very sad it had to end. Lots of laughs and fun!!!
This was an incredible experience! Bob took us along the freedom trail and shared his in depth knowledge about the rich history of Boston. The small group size made everything more personable as though we were spending the day with friends. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute of it. It's clear that Bob enjoys what he does. He shared things that only a true Bostonian would know. He also emailed later that day with a recap of our day including recommendations on where to eat while we were in town. I would highly recommend this tour with Bob to everyone!
This tour was awesome! The food was outstanding - especially oysters. I used to live in Boston and thought I knew a lot about the Seaport area but our guide, Bob, provided so much history in a really fun way. He even took us to places that I didn't even know existed and the views of Boston and the harbor were crazy good.
We booked out tour through TripAdvisor. Wonderful experience. Great tasting food and definitely delicious and fulfilling. Bob was a great tour guide he took his time walking us through the streets of Boston. Never did we feel rushed. It was a great way to try food out, learn about the best food spots, and Boston’s history. Highly recommend!!
We had a great time on the food tour of Boston. Our guide, Bob, was fantastic - super friendly, very knowledgeable about the city and history, and made a big effort to introduce hidden gem food spots instead of take us to the big tourist spots. Highly recommend this tour!
Conner took us on a fantastic tour through the Seaport area! The seafood was an perfect bonus to the history of the location! Conner was incredibly informative and even more fun! I highly recommend this tour, especially to seafood lovers. There’s nothing like a Boston LOBSTAH roll!
Corinne lead our tour during our first visit to Boston and she did an Awesome Job! We learned so much and the restaurants she picked out for us along the way to taste their food and drink were so memorable and fantastic! Would totally recommend her for your next tour in Boston!
Bob provided a phenomenal combo tour including insights, advice and historical knowledge that made our first visit to Boston unforgettably amazing. We loved the selection of stops in not-so-obvious locations. We appreciated the frequent restroom and refreshment pit stops.
Food , sights and stories were very cool. Our tour guide Bob knew his stuff on history and was great storyteller. On the North End food tour, he took us beyond the obvious and it felt like being let in on local secrets.
I did the double tour and had a lot of fun.
Wear comfy shoes.
I just finished the Seafood tour with Boston Tour Hub and it was an incredible day! Sully was our Tour Guide and he wowed us right away by taking us up to the Observation Deck on top of Griffin's Wharf. We got a bird's eye view of the whole Seaport while Sully versed us on some great stories of the area's past history. I've never had a lobster roll before and we stopped into James Hook to try one. Now I'm "hooked"! Sully told us that James Hook will ship live lobsters right to our doorstep in Iowa! All the food stops were delicious and Sully was a super guide. Thank you!
We live in Marlborough and we've been to Boston a couple times. Going on a 5 hour tour with Sully has been an absolute gift! We learned so much about this city and the origins of our country. Sully was relentless with his knowledge and ability to answer every question in an interesting and engaging way. I have to say that if I had the ability I would sit with this man over a beer and drink in his stories about this great city. I highly, highly recommend you do this tour.
The walking tour of Boston with Bob was FANTASTIC! It was easy to find where to meet and Bob made it fun for the whole group. He had great stories at every stop on the trip and gave us a lot of fun facts about the different places. He was very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we knew where we were headed after the tour. Highly recommend the tour with Bob!
Janet was great! She was fun and full of great information. My daughters and I really enjoyed the day.
Conner was awesome! Did the North End food tour last week, and we found it to be fun, informative, and tasty. Definitely a great bang for the buck. Conner was very nice, natural, and easy to talk to. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston
Bob was a fantastic tour guide. We nearly canceled going on this tour for fear of walking for 5 hours in over 90 degree temperatures. But we went and we are so glad we did! Bob was a wealth of knowledge. It was information about the history of Boston, culture of Boston, food of Boston!!! We had some terrific treats to eat. Bob was attentive to the need to stay in the shade as must as possible, stay hydrated and rest when needed due to the heat of the day. It was the best tour we had while in Boston and we highly recommend taking it with Bob H.
Thanks Bob for an enjoyable day!!!
Even though we are from Massachusetts and have been in Boston many times, we learned new things and thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Janet Donovan. I loved the fact that most of the food establishments we visited were the "first" of their kind in Boston. Food quality took precedence over popularity. Janet's stories were well presented and interesting. We would definitely recommend this tour.
My husband and I recently participated in the Food to Freedom Tour offered by Urban Adventures on our first full day in Boston. We had the most wonderful guide, Sully. He led us to the most amazing food and drink spots in Little Italy and was a walking encyclopedia of historical and cultural information. We also walked away with great recommendations for additional sights to see and where to eat during our remaining days in Boston. It was absolutely the best way to start our vacation. Sully even took the time after the tour to send us a full itinerary of the day for future reference. If you are thinking of doing a tour in Boston - don't hesitate - just book this one.
I had an excellent experience with Boston Tour Hub. My guide was Jim. We tried amazing cannolis from Boston’s oldest coffee shop. Jim told the story of Paul Revere as we passed by the historical sites in his life. I highly recommend Boston tour hub for an authentic experience in the north end!
We are great fans of food walking tours and this was one of the best we have done anywhere. The tours was nicely paced between visits to historical venues like the Old North Church and visits to North end eateries that are mostly known to locals like our tour guide. Sully O'Sullivan. The perfect blend of interesting local color commentary and historical highlights of Bostons ' amazing heritage.
On 12/31/20 I had a Boston guided tour with the guide Corinne. She was very friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Not only I had a great and pleasant experience, but I also learned a lot of new facts about Boston with Corinne. I highly recommend Boston Urban Adventures Tour, and specially Corinne.
Went on a food tour with my mom and our tour guide was Janet Donovan and it was so much fun! The food was amazing and I loved how we were able to go to places that we would have never found on our own if we weren't on the tour. I also got to learn about some of the history in Boston which was also super fun. Great experience and would definitely recommend and go again! :)
Wanted to rate 3.5 but was not an option. So...Connor was a good tour guide for this food and history tour. He was a 4 but the food and history bits were a 3. It was very hot day and Connor made sure to keep us in the shade as much as possible, allow stops for water refills or drink purchases, and checked in to make sure everyone was ok in the 90+ degree temps. He is joyful, tried to connect with each group on the trip, and seemed genuinely happy to be serving as a tour guide. The food was just ok. Cannoli was good as was coffee and the bread but sandwich and pizza were fair. Not much considering the abundant options in Boston and for the time we spent. We have been on several other food tours in other big cities (US and UK) which offered much more diversity, many more stops and food items, and much more information about the food in the area. The history information was mostly what you could get out of a school history book. We wanted more details and information that extended beyond US History class. Decent tour but we would look at another if re-doing this experience.
Great tour! Although my husband and I live in the area we learned a lot and enjoyed it a great deal. Bob was funny and super friendly, we would love to have him as a tour guide again. We highly recommend this tour especially for those who have only a couple of days in Boston, you will cover a lot of ground and learn quite a bit about Boston’s history while snaking on delicious food.
What an AMAZING tour! Even in the rain!! We were in the city for a surprise birthday trip for my husband, and this was one of our highlights, for sure!
Bob was a fantastic tour guide; mixing history, food, and Boston culture gave us an outstanding experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the city and it makes a difference! His secret little spots that aren’t the typical tourist stops are the types of places we love! We’ve taken tours in other, bigger cities that don’t compare! We took the 2 hour North End tour, and after it ended, returned to the North End to spend the day exploring. Every one of Bobs recommendations was spot on. We’ll definitely tour again next time we’re in the 617, hopefully very soon!
Thanks again, Bob! Was great meeting you!!
We had the BEST time on our 5 hour walking food and history tour on the Freedom Trail in Boston! Janet was our guide and she was fantastic! It was great to walk along ~ learn some history ~ and get special treats along the way!! In the description it says “samples” but we had full servings! You will not leave this 5 hour tour hungry at all!!
Keith (sully), our guide, did a fantastic job walking us through the many historical features of Boston. The tour was so interesting and informative and the food stops were delicious too! I would highly recommend taking this specific tour! It was a day well spent, for sure!
My two friends and myself enjoyed the small group walking food tour with energetic, upbeat Corrine. Besides the food on the tour, she relayed a lot of interesting historical information. We visited some of the oldest establishments in the North End area. My favorite food stop was the delicious cannoli and amazing cappuccino. The Old North Church was included, and IMHO a must see. Accommodations were made for vegetarians and hot chocolate was recommended for the child on our tour, who didn’t want coffee. The tour ended up being longer than 2 hours, which was fine. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail after the tour with a run down of the places we visited and what we learned. Suggestions of other places were included. We were glad we were able to book this tour as our other booked food tour canceled with one day notice.
Sully was awesome as our guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We saw so many different sights, learned many interesting, historical details, and enjoyed delicious local fare! As first time Boston visitors, this was a perfect choice for becoming familiar with the area.
Highly recommend the From Food to Freedom Trail with Boston Hub Tour!
We did the North End Food Tour with Conner as our guide. Despite the rain the tour was fantastic. The food was amazing and the information that Conner gave us was great. We had a great time even in the rain, would definitely recommend this tour and would definitely do it again if we came back to Boston!!!!
This tour guide was amazing. He was perfectly paced for a wide range of ages. He was just great. He had many historical unknown facts intertwined with the traditional known. Most importantly beyond excellent factual presentation, Dillion was expert at reading our group. Honestly, he was the highlight of our two days in Boston. We also took his recommendation for an Italian dinner in the North End. An excellent neighborhood Italian experience. This guide was the best. He made a rainy day shine. I was so glad we decided to do this tour of Boston. I recommend it to brothers we met in a bar. They said they would do.
This tour guide rocks at the highest star.
He is the best. Don’t loose him. 👍❤️
We absolutely loved the North End Food Tour in Boston. Our tour guide Sully was phenomenal. He truly enjoyed sharing all the history and amazing food with us. Both my 17 year old daughter and I wished we could have toured even longer. The food (bread, cannelloni, Italian sandwiches, and pizza) was delicious, and we really got to spend some time as out of the way locales that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Touring the Old North Church and learning so deeply about Paul Revere was a great bonus. Sully shared the rich history of the neighborhood both professionally and personally. He was genuine and kind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our North End, Freedom Trail food tour with Tim was ahhmazing!!! I'm a lover of food and history geek and this tour was on point and throughly enjoyed. I could and will do the tour again to learn new tidbits about the history of Boston including the architectural designs. We saw so many buildings illustrating the old and new and learned loads. Tim was knowledgeable,
enthusiastic and personable. Loved it!! Will def look up Tim when we return.
It was our first time in Boston and were very excited to do this tour. It met our expectations ten fold. We did the Food to Freedom Tour with Tim who will easily show you how passionate he is about history and Boston. He has connections in the North End and was able to get us a good about of food throughout the tour (plus two cannoli's instead of the normal one during the tour). Everything was good. Along the way we stopped at various historical sights and learned so much. Tim's sense of humor helps make what you learn stick as well. After the food portion ended we went into Downtown Boston and was taken on a pretty big tour of the area. We were able to go onto the balcony of the State House since Tim has connections beyond the North End which was incredible. The amount of history, food, and personalty met within this tour was definitely worth the money. We had a great time and would highly recommend it to others for their trip to Boston!
We took the North End food tour with Sully, our tour guide. Not only was Sully knowledgeable about Boston’s rich history, but he also knew where to find excellent food in the North End! He showed us the places that the locals go for fantastic Italian food, bakeries, pastry shops, cappuccino, pizza…it was awesome. Book your tour with this company!! You will not be disappointed!
We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Sully was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and entertaining. He packed so much into our 5 hour tour and brought us to the most delicious places for food samples. Even in 93 degree temperatures, it was a pleasure to spend the day with him.
Our group of 3 adults enjoyed the food and history tour in Boston this past week. Janet was our guide. She was very welcoming and professional with lots of interesting facts to share about the food and history of Boston. The tour moved along at a good pace with time to relax and enjoy the food stops along the way. Janet assisted with picture taking at some great points of interest along the way.
I took this tour to expand my knowledge about the city, but was way over the expectations! My tour Guy Dillon was so kind and well prepared about all the questions and was very informative .I will highly recommend him to my friends and everyone who us looking for a good time and a lot of info about this Wonderful city of Boston.
Thanks.
Stanley.
Bob was an excellent guide. He knows a lot of history about the North End. We were a group from New Hampshire and had all spent time in Boston. This was something new and we all had a wonderful time. The food stops were delicious and he gave wonderful tips of special food places in not only the North End but also Boston. We enjoyed it all. Highly recommend! Thank you Bob for a great time.
My family took the tour together, with 2 kids, and my parents. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our tour guide was Conner. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, the food, and the culture of north end.
We tasted great food, best fresh cannoli, best bread.
I actually went back to the stores to buy more food to bring back home.
Highly recommend!!
Amazing experience! Tour guide Corinne Bennett was funny, knowledgable, and made sure we all had a good time. I go to school in Boston and I still learned so much and found so many new places I'm definitely going to go back to! 10/10.
***VIRTUAL TOUR - PAUL REVERE***
Bob (our tour guide) and Stacey (our event coordinator) were amazing. They helped us coordinate a team event of up to 28 people and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our group decided to do the Virtual Boston Paul Revere tour. Bob our guide was live from the streets of Boston and a wealth of knowledge! The best part was he was entertaining, funny and not only showed the group many interesting historical facts about Paul Revere, he also gave the group a taste of Boston and showed/told us must things to do if we visited in person. When our group had questions Bob or Stacey would stop to listen and answer any question they had. Thank you so much for accommodating our group! We will be back again for another Virtual Tour!
I participated in the Food to Freedom walking tour in Boston with Tour Leader Bridget. She was very informative, friendly and personable and this tour captures the rich history of this city along with a delightful food tour. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and give Bridget 5 stars!
We did the North End Food Tour and the Walk Along the Freedom Trail with Bob on a beautiful October Day. Bob was amazing! We tasted some great food and met some of the owners from small businesses most tourist would never see all while getting a true history lesson of the North End. Due to Covid - National Park buildings along the Freedom Trail were closed, however Bob kept the tour very entertaining and informative and did not cut the tour short. I appreciate the extra effort he put into this tour to make up for the closures
Corrine was a great host and fun to be with. We learned a lot about the history of Boston and stopped for coffee, cannoli, pizza, sandwich and beer along the way! We started promptly at 10am and finished at 4pm - roughly 5 miles and 15000 steps to give you an idea of the pace but I found it to be leisurely. I highly recommend this tour.
We did the food tour of the North End with Bob and it was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants. He was honest with his reviews and recommendations which I really appreciated. It was a small group, COVID-19 precaution friendly and encouraged. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend others to book! Omg the Italian sub I want another one!
Jimmy did a fantastic job explaining the history of the specific food shops, the North End neighborhood, and greater Boston in the context of the Revolutionary War. Definitely a good stop if you want a quick overview of the North End neighborhood (which is one of my favorite in Boston) and want to navigate some of the lesser-known gems in the neighborhood.
Highlight of the tour was chatting with the owner of the oldest pizza shop in Boston, whose great-grandfather owned it way-back-when.
We really enjoyed the Food to Freedom tour! Our guide Connor showed us all the best spots to eat in the North End. We had a cappuccino, cannoli, Italian sandwich, bread, pizza, and a beer. Connor was very informative and stopped to give great stories about the historical places. This is a great way to see and eat through Boston.
It was wonderful. We learned so much history and ate some excellent food. I would recommend to do the full 5 hours. It is a lot of walking so make sure you wear good walking shoes.
Our tour guide, Sully, was the best. He really seems to love Boston and sharing the history with others. This has been the best thing we have done so far.
Tim has an amazing knowledge of Boston and it's history. The food tour was great! Tim needs a little more training in understanding his tour guests and listen! The tour advertises a 5 hour tour which is a long time in the first place. 15 minutes before the scheduled end of the tour one of the guests mentions they have sore feet and would like to wrap things up with the tour because of the sore feet. Tim then proceeds to say let's look at one more site, and then one more site again, and again! When all is said and done we end up on a 6 hour tour and a 30 minute walk back to our vehicle. We do appreciate his time and knowledge but, Get a clue!
My daughter and husband and I had the most amazing tour with Sully. We learned so much about the city and all of the amazing historical building and events that have happened in Boston. I would definitely recommend this tour and make sure you ask for Sully!
Bob was terrific! He was so informative and charming for us older women. My sister and I are from Boston/Cambridge and new a few things about our cities but Bob showed us fascinating things in the north end we never knew. It was so much fun, I would gladly take the tour many times over! Thanks Bob, take care.
Corinne Bennett is really a great guide. She's passionate on history and so much care of each of us in each stop. It was excited to hear her telling story in up and down voice, like she was painting the history in front of us, very vivid and exciting. Thank you Corinne, it was a great day!
My husband and I were so glad that we booked this tour since we only had one day to spend in Boston. Connor was such a great, personable and informative guide. We love the mix of food and history and would highly recommend this tour!
I really enjoyed this tour. It was fun & informative. Our guide, Sully, had a great grasp of the facts, historical timelines & interesting tidbits.
My only suggestion would be, aftet a 3 hour tour walking Boston's hilly terrain, that we end closer to where we started. Other than that, I just might do again with family.
I went on the From Food to Freedom tour back in July. I was visiting my sister and had a few days to myself, so I booked this tour. Corinne was such a great guide! She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel included. I was on the tour by myself and not once did I feel out of place! The food was delicious and I learned so much. I highly recommend this tour! Thanks Corinne for an awesome experience.
Bob was an amazing guide tour. We enjoyed very particular places that would have never known the story behind them and would have never visited. North End is full of history and Bob was able to share some of that with my group.
Really awesome tour, guide, and of course FOOD! For a graduation event, we were able to join on a tour of the North End. Really fun and light hearted conversation. 10/10 would recommend. Corinne was fantastic and welcoming.
Our Seafood tour of Boston's Seaport district was fantastic. Great area, great food, and Dillon was the best tour guide ever! Can't want to do another tour!
Went on the Seaport Seafood Tour with Dillon as our tour guide! Learned so much about the history of Boston's Seaport district. We also ate some fantastic Boston seafood. Overall a great experience and Dillon is an incredibly knowledgable tour guide!
Bob is an excellent tour guide. He is knowledgeable, warm and engaging. He took time to speak to each group member and answer questions. Bob is well informed about the city of Boston and its history. I highly recommend taking this walking tour with Bob!
Our tour was really great! Janet was very knowledgeable about the town and an excellent conversationalist. I would totally recommend if you want to learn more about Boston, their history, eat good food, etc! I don’t recommend if you’re gluten free but I’m sure Janet would go out out her way. We can’t wait to go back to some of the places we passed and hang out a bit longer.
Corinne was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and has a great upbeat personality. We had a great time and didn’t even realize how much we walked! It was great, fun experience
Fantastic food tour with Janet . Boston is a busy city - with lots to see and do. The food tour was a mix of information, history and food. We walked, we learned - and we had fun. Great experience - recommend for all!
We highly recommend the five hour Boston Small-Group Food & History North End Freedom Trail Walking Tour. It’s a lot of walking so just be ready and hydrated.
Our guide, Mazen, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly with great “dad” jokes. He was also extremely thoughtful about ensuring everyone in the small tour group stayed together, was comfortable, and well fed throughout the tour. He also has a great subtle way of drawing parallels between events of the past and how they are still showing up today.
Corinne was an excellent tour guide. Engaging & extremely knowledgeable on Boston history. Guided us through the ins & outs of the north end to wonderful food that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own.
Sulley was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about Boston history. He was very personable and fun. He was the best tour guide we have ever had.
Take this tour, you won’t be disappointed!
This was such a great tour! Enjoyed many parts of Boston & the food sampling was wonderful! Janet Donovan was an excellent guide! Thoroughly enjoyed having her guide us through the experience!
“Sully” (Keith) was a really great tour guide. Boston native- shared great stories and information. Educational and fun. Great food. Best cannoli that I have ever had at Cafe Vittoria! Really enjoyed this tour with our family—including teenager and pre-teen. Great time!
The North End and Freedom Trail tour was fabulous. Corinne took us to many gems in the North End for Italian food which we would not have found on our own. She also provided us with many interesting stories and facts along the 5 hour tour. Our 15 year old daughter was so intrigued with the history, she could have done another 5 hours. Thanks, Corinne!
OMG, Bob. You ROCK! You were an excellent ‘human’ encyclopedia of history of Boston & area! Thank you you so much for your patience of we ‘seniors’, minus one nice, helpful & polite young man on our tour group. You sure know your stuff, & we appreciate your recommendations for restaurants & other areas to explore, on our next trip to this beautiful, clean, historical city!
Had a fantastic experience during our tour of Boston. Our tour guide, Connor, took us through the historical landmarks of the city. He did a great job of elaborating on how the city has developed through the centuries. Overall an incredibly enjoyable experience.
Such a great day walking and learning about Boston! Connor was very fun and engaging. His knowledge of Boston and food recommendations are unmatched. Having been to Boston a couple times in the past, it was great to spend some time in the North side. Grabbing a beer with some new friends was the perfect ending to a delightful day! If you have just one day to spend in Boston, add this tour to the top of your list!
Love, love, love Bob Hornstien as a tour guide! He's a local and knows all the best secrets. He is honest, funny, and down to earth. I have been on tours in other cities and they can be hokey and a little too sachrine for me, but Bob read the small group and seemed to instinctively know the extra little tid bits of information that we would appreciate. Being in a small group was one of the reasons I picked this tour for mine and my husband's wedding anniversary, but Bob really made it for us :-)
Our tour guide, Bob Hornstein, was wonderful. He was informative, funny, and had the ability to keep my children engaged throughout the tour. Would highly recommend, especially if it’s your first time to Boston!
Bob was a terrific tour guide. He not only was quite knowledgeable but was also personable, told great stories and was a pleasure to be around. He even went so far as to wait for us when my wife felt dizzy from the heat and spent extra time making certain she was OK. He also made certain that her needs for gluten-free food were met.
We did the 5-hour North End tour with Connor and we couldn’t have had a better experience! My mom and I couldn’t believe how amazing the food was - cannolis, breads, pizza... The tour was perfectly paced with food in the beginning and lots of walking/history following. We got to know the other tourists and enjoyed getting to know them as well. The value was amazing - I’m not sure that you could do all of the same things for much less than the price. We would happily book again!
Just got back from our east coast trip. Last week I went on the Food tour+ Freedom Trail tour. Our group's guide, Janet, was an experienced professional— warm, witty, knowledgeable, and considerate. She always checked in on those of us in the group who needed to sit down on occasion due to physical ailments. The five hours seemed to fly. I recommend this tour highly.
Loved the tour, and Sully was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and professional. The day was beautiful albeit a little hot in the afternoon....it was the only point that Sully didn't have control over!! LOL
It was the best of the two tours I took while visiting Boston......truly a 5-star experience!
Thank you, Sully!
We did the small group freedom trail/food tour with Connor. We learned so much history because Connor was a wealth of knowledge. We ate so much food along the tour from cannolis, to Italian sandwiches, to Sicilian pizza. We’re so glad we did the tour at the beginning of our trip. Now we know the neighborhoods better and can’t wait to go back and explore more of it.
The tour with Janet was the highlight of my trip. I learned so much from her and she explained everything so thoroughly. If we had questions that she wasn’t sure of she looked up the answers and even emailed me when I was back home with an answer to a question I asked. She was very friendly and enjoyable to be with. I was so impressed with how conscious she was making sure everybody kept up and was doing ok.(one of the ladies had a leg injury) she was a pleasure to be with,I would definitely try to get her for your guide.
We took Connor’s tour today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was outrageously hot, but he found shade for as much of the walking tour as he could. He was enthusiastic and gave a lot of history to our group. I highly recommend this tour to visitors— our only regret is that we didn’t take his earlier food tour.
Great Boston Historic Tour!!! Highly recommend it. A wealth of interesting information delivered expertly by Bob Hornstein, native Bostonian with a great sense of humor. We loved this tour and plan to register on his North End and Seaport tours next time we’re in Boston.
It was a great experience! Our tour guide, Bob, was very knowledgeable about every site we went to. The foods were great too. We loved the sandwiches so much that we went back to buy one ourselves. After the tour, Bob sent everyone an email about the itinerary of the tour and recommendations for restaurants. We tried the restaurants he recommended and we loved it.
Had a great time this weekend on my North End Food Tour! Our guild Jack was upbeat and kept the crown engauged! My friend and I were the only "locals" in the group but still learned a lot about the history of the North End as well as was introduced to a great bread shop that was tucked away. The portions were generous as well as delicious!
A fun and very informative tour! Our guide, Bob, was super knowledgeable about all things Boston from the history to the little hole-in-the-wall panetteria that, despite being a local, I had no idea existed! The food was excellent and found the tour to be well-paced despite.COVID-related pauses (limits to party size in certain stores for example). Bob kept everyone going! A wonderful day! Thank you!
Had a tour today with Connor Bourgoin and he was fabulous! Very knowledgable, personable, and entertaining. Took us for a beer, which was a welcome break about 3/4 of the way through the tour (granted it was included but it was a really nice respite; and he made great recommendations to try a Boston brew). Highly recommend if you're visiting Boston.
Our tour guide was Bob Hornstein. We had a great time. Bob was full of interesting historical and local info. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend this tour
My husband and I went on the North End Food Tour this past week. The food was delicious. The tour was informative. Our guide Bridgette, couldn't have been nicer. We went back to the area for dinner the same night and stopped to get some Italian sandwiches to take home!
Had a great time on this food tour. Bob was an excellent guide and provided great information. Wish we had more time in Boston to revist some of the places that we stopped by. Will be back to Boston to do more tours in the future.
Mazen was a first rate tour guide! He was very knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. We felt the tour was a very good value and it gave us a great historical overview of the City as well as many valuable tips of other areas and places to visit in the Boston area. We will definitely recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Boston.
Sully was great! Having grown up in the Boston area he has a wealth of knowledge both contemporary an historical. Loved both the Food and History tour! Thanks Sully!
Our family had a wonderful time with Janet! She was very informative and made sure we had plenty of rest stops (we were booked for 5 hr tour). Enjoyed the cannolis, fresh bread and fresh pizza stops.
I have lived in Massachusetts but I had never toured the city of Boston.
Bob took us on a guided tour around historical Boston and he explained to us in a very proffesional manner.
I recommend Bob as your next tour guide around Boston
Dillon is an exceptional tour guide. He truly loves the history of Boston. His delivery is insightful, at times unexpectedly funny but always sensitive and very respectful to our history. I can take this tour over just to hear him talk. Like I took several courses from the same professor because they were so good.
Bob Hornstein is the best tour guide! He had great stories, brought us to many great locations, and made sure we all left well informed and stuffed full of some great North End finds!
Conner was fun and knowledgeable. If he can entertain 15 year olds and adults at the same time he deserves more than 5 stars. I highly recommend him and the north end food tour. It was a perfect mix of history and delicious food!!
Our tour guide was Sully and he was really down to earth. He was very knowledgeable of the area being from the area and kept the group engaged and made the tour really fly by. He really made it fun! Highly suggest the history highlights tour!
I took the Seafood tour with Sully and it was excellent! Sully was friendly, accommodating, and was well immersed in Boston history. The food was excellent-- especially the lobster tacos! I was so thankful that I got to learn about the Seaport from a true local. Highly recommend!
Jack was a great tour guide. He was upbeat, positive and personable. We very much enjoyed the history, the fantastic food, and taking in the true flavor of this beautiful city on foot. Highly recommend. Come hungry (don’t eat breakfast!) bring a water bottle and wear good walking shoes!
There a plenty of praise to hand out! The tour guide - Keith “Sully” - was very knowledgeable with a strong history of local area, talented conversationalist mixing history with a sense of humor and putting Boston’s local cuisine in front of us during the five hour walkabout. If you don’t know where to start, don’t look any further. Great value and quality.
Janet did such a great job showing around the city of Boston. She was very informative and had great stories to tell of our nation's beginnings! Enjoyed it so much!

Had out of town guests for the weekend for my daughter’s wedding shower and wanted something for us to do before the big day. We did the private North End food tour with Connor. The weather was horrendous that day, but the tour was so much fun & Connor was so good that we hardly even noticed the bad weather. Highly recommend!
Our guide was Bob who is a knowledgeable and gracious guide. I highly recommend this tour! Don’t eat a big breakfast! you’ll want to have plenty of appetite for treat after treat from the North Ends best authentic spots.
