The tour itself was okay. It was prerecorded and was somewhat difficult to follow as it didn’t always match up to our exact location. The driver often pointed in the general direction the recording was referring to, but was easy to miss if you were busy looking around. It was difficult to decipher which building was being talked about.
The website really should have more information to make the experience less stressful such as an exact address to the pickup location and loading time. Joe’s Crab Shack is located at 2288 N. Garden St, Boise, ID 83706. The trolley arrived about 10 minutes prior to the departure time, but parked at a little lot across the street so make sure to keep your eyes open because they didn’t announce when they had arrived.
We went in July and there was no ac, but the breeze felt pretty good once we started moving. Thankfully, they were selling cold water bottles for $1, but you are allowed to bring your own drink with you.
My husband and I got to really see the area without either of us having to focus on driving, we learned some neat information about Boise, and the driver was very nice. All in all, I’m happy that we took the tour. I hope this was helpful!

I’ve done the tour twice and both were wonderful. The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s very pretty and educational, perfect for the whole family.

Had a hard time finding it at first. But if you look at their website or call them you meet at Joe's Crab Shack 15 minutes before 11 and then the trolley shows up. Had a wonderful time and learned a lot of history of the city. I suggested to anyone that comes here.

A great tour. 1:20 long and loaded with interesting, good to know info on Boise.
Besides education just good fun riding around in an open air trolley meeting nice people.
Excellent value.

FUN way to see Boise if you are from out of town (and probably if you lived there!). I took my kids (ages 16 and 12) on the "Haunted Halloween Tour" and we thought it was great! We were on the first initial trip of the Halloween season so we were warned that there may be hiccups, but we didn't seem to come across any. The tour guide was so personable, sweet and fun. We got to drive around the city and hear some really neat historic facts, went to a cemetery which was kind of a spooky experience in the dark and then on to the Idaho Penitentiary which was closed, but still a cool stop with no one around. Overall a great experience that was well worth the price.
If I had to leave any kind of constructive criticism, it would be that they should have a set leave time. We got there 15 minutes early, and because the guide had two groups of people that were very rudely late we had to wait an extra 15 minutes beyond the expected departure time. It was very nice of him to wait, but it would be good if they made it clear that the trolley left with or without folks.

We did the haunted Boise tour. It was a fun, after dark tour of Boise going around to all of the supposed haunts of Boise. It was a fun experience, and I'd be interested in doing the regular tour one day. The October tour is cold so dress warm.

Wonderful tour. Nice driver. But seats aren't the most comfortable. Only real bad thing was front seat right behind driver gets the engine hot air constantly blown on it. Too hot in the summer!

Tom was great. This was a good surprise for my mom, we loved hearing about the history of the area.

Took the trolley tour of. Boise, idaho in July &
Really enjoyed the narration, historical info, & the city experience. Great driver. Would highly recommend to those who are interested in this city.
William Kidd
Great for architecture, very dry, no humor. Entire narrative was recorded, I enjoy some candid input from the driver please!
Donald Wood
For $20 it is a great value. Informative, entertaining and time ... excellent use of 90 mins.

Tickets may be purchased online 24/7. The business is closed in October and only open during our Halloween Tours. Google has been harassing my business with sales phone calls. I do not believe this person is a potential customer as our season kicks off on Friday 10/21 and he says he called two weeks ago? All calls have been answered up to 10/12. If he really wanted to come on our tour, he would purchase tickets now online. I believe he works for Google and just wants to sell me something. My customers don't act like this nor do they post reviews on google.

Mostly architecture and some history but worth the trip to get an idea a Boise' past.

Was told to be at pick up site 15 min early which we did. Then the bus driver visited with a couple for an extra 10 min which means we left 10 min late and sat in sweltering heat. Lost his tip from us
