This was the best way to experience and see so much of Boise in a short time. We were only visiting for the weekend and this tour showed us some history, the beautiful parks, and downtown. Shawn was so knowledgeable and accommodating guide. He was very responsive when I called before booking with questions. We highly recommend this.

We just enjoyed our 2nd Boise Bicycle Tour with Shawn and we had a blast! Our group ranged in age from 4 years old to 70 years old and thanks to Shawn, we all have FUN! With his knowledge of Boise, his enthusiasm and love for Idaho, Shawn not only makes the tour a sight for your eyes but he makes it enjoyable to learn about this wonderful city. Shawn makes safety and comfort priorities for his tours. His bikes are so easy and enjoyable to ride. If you are looking for a way to enjoy Boise, take this tour. You will not be disappointed!

This was a first-time visit to Boise for me and my wife. Shawn did a fabulous job showing us this magnificent city. He is born and raised in Boise; he knows the city like the back of his hand. The route gave us a superb introduction to all the key points, from the greenbelt to downtown. The pace was good and Shawn programs a stop into the route every 15-20 minutes, which is nice for those who are not accustomed to long stretches on a bicycle seat. This was an all-around GREAT experience!

Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Boise! My wife and I loved getting to learn about the town from the opinion of a local, and only wish we would have booked a tour sooner when arriving to Boise. If you are interested in booking with Shawn, give him a call and ask him about his tour options. He has one for history buffs and ones for those interested in seeing what breweries the town has to offer.

My husband and I were visiting Boise for the first time and wanted to learn more about the area and history from a local’s perspective which is exactly what we got, it was great! The bikes were nice and easy to ride. The views riding along the river were beautiful, and riding through the city was smooth too. This was THE best way for us to experience our first day in Boise! Boise is a bike town anyway so it seemed logical to get familiar on a bike. With an incredible Green Belt, bikes lanes and drivers who respect people on two wheels we felt safe and really efficient. Not only that, Shawn is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The bikes themselves were really comfortable and new. We rode for >3hrs and my wife is 20 weeks pregnant with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend. Thanks Shawn!

Our family of four had a blast with Shawn!! We covered about 9 miles from greenbelt to city streets and Shawn shared a mix of history and personal experiences. If you’re new to Boise, I would suggest doing this at the beginning of your trip so you can go back and visit his recommendations. Take this tour!

Shawn is very knowledgeable about Boise and gives a very fun and informative tour of the river trail and the city. This is our second time doing a tour and both times were a little different. It’s a great way to see the sights and if you have out of town guests they will learn a lot about this beautiful city. It’s also a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get a little exercise but it is definitely not strenuous. Highly recommend!

Looking for a fun way to see and get to know Boise? I HIGHLY recommend Boise Bicycle Tours! I love Boise and wanted to share it with family that came to town. Saw this option and decided to give it a try. SO glad I did! Shawn Welsh gave us an incredible adventure! All 7 of us, young to old, were provided a great bike that is easy to ride (each bike also had a pouch to hold phones and personal items and water). Shawn shared historical and very interesting facts that even I didn’t know (I have lived here almost 50 years) at the many places we stopped. The pace and route were perfectly suited to all of us. We had a blast and can’t wait to go again! Shawn is great to work with and great to ride with!

This is easily the best activity to do in Boise. Shawn breadth of knowledge of the city is unbelievable. I would definately recommend his bike tour early in your trip because he will recommend stuff to see and places to eat. The history of Boise is very interesting and even a local would not know everything Shawn showed us. Biking Boise is a very easy bike ride good for all ages and fitness levels. Shawn was born and raised in Boise and his knowledge and love for the city really shines through. This was a great experience and shows you a cool perspective of this awesome little town. Took a tour with Shawn, the owner of Boise Bicycle Tours, last weekend. This was such a great tour for many reasons. He is flexible and willing to adapt the tour based on participant’s request. Starting and ending at beautiful Ann Morrison Park, this 2-hour tour was interesting, entertaining and informative. Shawn clearly has an in-depth knowledge of the history and heart of Boise. You see the city the perspective of the town founders and modern residents. History, anecdotes and little-known facts are presented in a way that feels as though you are experiencing the history during your ride. Shawn imparts humor into this ride, which enhances the experience. I recommend this tour for visitors and residents alike. Bet that you will learn something new! Next time I will try one of BBT’s other tours such as the Greenbelt ride. Highly recommend this if you have a few hours to spare when in Boise!

Sean was awesome. My sister and I were visiting Boise for the first time in late November, when most things are closed, and he accommodated us nicely with an amazingly informative and beautiful tour! The equipment was new and the route perfect for any riding level. Our tour was 3 hours long, which is plenty of time to get the lay of the land. My next time will be in the Summer with my hubby and kids, and we will definitely use this service again!

Wow what a tour! Shawn really does know all of the best places in Boise! My boyfriend and I booked the Best of Boise tour, which I highly recommend! We learned so much about Boise, and Shawn has more interesting, historical, fascinating facts about Boise than I could have imagined possible! And, he carries an iPad with him and will show historical photos to boot. The distance covered was perfect! Not too short, not too far... Not too easy not too hard! Tons of natural beauty and amazing architectural creations along the route. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shawn was awesome. The bikes he supplied were so comfortable we are now looking to buy some. Being from the Boise area for over 14 years the wife and I wanted to view the city from a different angle and learn some things about Boise that we did not know and Shawn delivered. After taking Shawn's tour the wife and I are now more comfortable coming down to Boise, parking and taking our bikes around to do things in the city and enjoying it. Shawns 's tour was surprisingly relaxing and comfortable if you are thinking of touring our wonderful city I encourage you to see our city with Shawn he is Informative and knowledge of our history and tells it in a unique and informative way. We took a tour of the greenbelt yesterday with Shawn since we had family visiting. Despite us living here, Shawn had tons of historical information, facts, and little hidden gems to share with us -- we didn't even know about most of them! The bikes were incredibly well maintained and comfortable, and he had a kid-carrier trailer that was top of the line, comfortable to pull, and easy to maneuver. He really went above and beyond to make our trip fun and enjoyable, and he kept a nice easy pace that all of us could maintain throughout the trip. Definitely recommend this tour, even if you live here!
