Lynn and Katie were great hosts for our hike and mountain top yoga. The hike was no joke if you're as out of shape as I am (boy do I need to work on my cardio again). However, the scenery was breath-taking. That cool morning air was refreshing. Lynn was a fantastic instructor and Katie took some great photos. Oh and definitely opt-in for the post-yoga tea. It's delicious!

My friends arranged two events through Asheville Wellness Tours for my bachelorette and I had the best time!! The morning hike was gorgeous and the class was perfect for all levels. We thought the instructor was great and the views are breath taking. I felt one with nature & appreciated that we were able to bring mimosas for after the class to enjoy. We also used the private chef who was down to earth, friendly and the food was the best local and healthy tasting food i've ever had.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Asheville Wellness Tours! We brought a group of ladies to Asheville for my sister's Bachelorette Weekend and the activities we did with AWT were the highlight of the entire weekend. We started on Saturday with the Yoga Hike. Sunny was SUCH a wonderful guide, pointing out plants and regional information along the way. The class was restorative and perfect for all experience levels. We grabbed lunch then headed back to our condo for a Tarot Card reading with Aubrey. None of us had done a Tarot reading before and we had no idea what to expect but it blew us out of the water. Absolutely the highlight of everything we did. Then we each did an in-house massage at our condo with David and Ash. They were both wonderful and it was so relaxing to all be hanging out together while we waited for our massages. All in all, it made for the perfect day. AWT made coordinating all of this a breeze and they've been kind and responsive anytime we needed anything. We will absolutely be returning to Asheville in the future and I can't wait to try more of the services that AWT offers. Thank y'all SO much for what you do!!

We booked a Yoga Hike and Personal Chef services for a friend's bachelorette party. The yoga was so relaxing and the views were breathtaking. Kristin (the yoga instructor) was amazing! Personal Chef experience with Christian blew us away! The food was delicious, filled with unique combination of flavors and textures. Would definitely recommend both services if you are in Asheville area!

Mountain top yoga was a surreal experience. Sadie was an awesome tour guide and knew lots about the trail/mountain we were hiking. She also helped me find the meeting location when I got lost. Needless to say she was super helpful! This was by far one of my favorite activities that I did while I was in the area. The view is BREATHTAKING. I recommend this activity for anyone who loves nature or yoga. You won’t regret it!

The Forest Bathing experience at NC Arboretum was a holistic grounding practice. The guide cultivated a community within our small tour group, allowed us to explore on our own terms, and invited us with prompts for utilizing all of our senses in the experience. It was an incredible experience that I would recommend to all people looking to connect with nature.

Excellent experience + terrific views! Review of Yoga on the Mountain Hike A terrific all levels experience with breathtaking 360 degree views! Sue Ann was really knowledgeable about the area, the vegetation and created a delightful all levels yoga flow. Will 100% be recommending Asheville Wellness Tours to everyone! The cows were such a great bonus to the flow too.

Update (August 2022): I attended a goat yoga class with Asheville Wellness Tours at the Round Mountain Creamery. Kim was a wonderful instructor, the farm and scenery were beautiful, and the goats were so much fun! I’m looking forward to doing this again next year. Fantastic! The hike was beautiful and the yoga class was just what my body needed. Leaflin was a wonderful instructor. Great views and a fun "photo shoot" at the top. I took a friend visiting Asheville and this was a unique experience of mountain living.

We had a large group of women staying at an Airbnb in Asheville for the weekend. Three massage therapists came with all their equipment. They were timely organized and friendly. My therapist was Joey and he was incredible! My massage with him did not disappoint!! I highly recommend Joey!

Incredible experience! Our guide, Leaflin, was such a kind, gentle human. We all vibed so well with her yoga instructing and her excitement for nature. When we opened our eyes after Shavasana, we were surrounded by some big 'ole cows (slow moving, gentle, sneaky cows). Such a cool experience! Thanks also to the podcast Making it in Asheville. Our experience was part of a giveaway, but I will definitely be coming back for more mountain cow yoga!

Our guide Kim was fantastic. She was patient and understanding when we got turned around and were late to arrive. Our group did the Yoga Hike as part of my bachelorette weekend. The hike is moderate level and the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. The yoga class itself was relaxing and restorative. Even the more hesitant members of the group were raving about the experience as we left. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience! I attended a Forest Bathing with my husband. I was skeptical that I would get much out of this experience, but I had such a great time. This was one of the best decisions I made in a long time. We coordinated with Nicole and Caitlin, who were both incredibly helpful. This was a surprise birthday experience for my mom. We hiked to bearwallow top of the mountain for a private yoga class. Caitlin was the perfect guide, incredible yoga class and as my mom said, "One of the best birthdays she has ever had." Highly recommend, especially during Covid-19 times as a safe but incredible experience.

Goat yoga - it’s exactly what you think it is and it’s a totally memorable experience! If you’re thinking about it, just do it. We started by setting our mats out on a hillside inside a baby goat pin. Kim was an excellent instructor and lead us through a short breathing exercise, a couple mindfulness practices, and yoga stretches/poses. Yes, the goats may walk on you, eat your hair, or poop by your head (lol) but it’s all part of the experience! It keeps what is typically a serious/focus practice more light-hearted and silly. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who dares to try something different. Kim was the best!

We did the Yoga Hike. Our guide, Jeri, was awesome. She taught us a lot about yoga and the earth. She took great photos of us along the hike and during the yoga practice. Her method and practice were wonderful and helped us feel relaxed and grounded. The hike was fun and the sunset was absolutely beautiful! The views are breathtaking. We will definitely want to book another tour the next time we are in Asheville. If you decide to do this, be sure to read their email about the driving directions. I didn't realize how important it would be! The route that our GPS navigated us to from Black Mountain had us drive up part of the mountain on a one-lane, gravel road with hair-pin/blind turns. It was a bit precarious and scary at times especially when we met oncoming traffic. Had I read the email more thoroughly, I would have learned that there was another fully paved way to drive up the mountain. We will be taking that route in the future for sure!

We had a great experience with Asheville Wellness tours. We did the yoga hike on a Friday morning. Our guide Sunny was so friendly and shared her knowledge of plants and herbs and led us in a really peaceful yoga practice at the summit. I would definitely do this again!

We booked a private yoga instructor through Asheville Wellness Tours that came to our Airbnb. They were quick, responsive, and very flexible as we had some changes occur last minute. The instructor Kristin was amazing and the yoga class was beautiful. She was prepared and set us up outside and also stayed around to provide recommendations. She even brought a nice tea to wrap up our practice. Highly recommend this for a bachelorette party or anyone who just wants to start their day off well!

This Forest Bathing walk with Christa was beyond words beautiful! This is a lovely modality that is so supportive to our health on all levels, and Christa guided with gentle care and excellence. We each experience this in our own way and for me, this was deeply profound. It was a cold but beautiful day and I cherished every moment on the trail in the Pisgah National Forest.

We did goat yoga with Asheville Wellness. It was awesome! So relaxed, so natural, and a beautiful setting. You could tell these were happy goats just hanging out and not forced to participate with us. The yoga was on a beautiful goat farm and the instructor was amazing. It’s a really cool drive up a mountain. I cannot recommend more. Also don’t forget to buy some goat cheese on the way out.

Everyone we worked with, from the booking folks to the providers, was absolutely wonderful. Today we went on a yoga hike with Mandy and it was everything we could have asked for! She was kind, knowledgeable, and fit in so well with our bachelorette group! It was incredibly windy at the top during yoga, but she rolled with it and made jokes and had fun with us despite the circumstances. We are not serious yogi's and she catered the experience to our level of skill so well. Overall, a great experience! If I ever come back to Asheville and want a yoga/hike experience, Mandy is the guide I'd ask for!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Asheville Wellness Tours at my bachelorette! I called on Wednesday thinking there would be no chance they could fit 7 girls in for an at-home massage in Lake Lure for Friday, but they worked with me and found an amazing massage therapist for us. They were so nice and quick to respond! David had such great energy, was so kind, and did 6 massages and 1 foot scrub--he was able to accommodate many different preferences in terms of massage style (we had people who wanted heavy-duty sports massages and people who wanted very light massages and everything in between). He drove all the way out to Lake Lure in a rainstorm! Plus, I had shopped around to many different at-home massage therapists in the area, and they either would not drive out to Lake Lure, or cost much more in travel fees--the other option was almost 300 dollars more than Asheville Wellness Tours. Thank you again for helping me pull off a wonderful spa day at such short notice!

I had a short amount of time in Asheville (2 nights, 2 days). Nicole listened to my goals for this short respite and planned the most beautiful experiences. I enjoyed an incredible sunset hike with Leaflin- the views of the mountains and valley, the cows that joined us, and her gentle nature in leading the hike and yoga practice were incredible. The next morning I participated in forest bathing with Mattie- whose knowledge of nature, the area, history and lore were so impressive and enhanced the experience. Her passion for her work adds to the beauty of the hike on the mountain and alongside the river. It was a very spiritual experience. The massage from Katie and Tarot reading from Alex were the perfect end to an already amazing day. Everyone was passionate about their work, so gracious and very professional in being COVID friendly. I felt safe and comfortable in being able to immerse myself into these special Asheville experiences. I had ample time to explore all that Asheville has to offer in between these scheduled events- it was all very fluid and relaxed. We took a quick weekend trip to Asheville and tried to book the nature hike but it was full, instead we booked the yoga hike. It was nothing short than magical and worth every penny. The hike was moderate and so pretty.. when we got to the top where the yoga practice began, there was a panoramic view of mountains and free range cows. This was an AMAZING tour. I booked a sunset hike for my best friend's bachelorette party, and Caitlin was so good about getting our party booked and worked with me through multiple booking changes. Kristin was our guide, and we LOVED HER. She handled our hiking trip expertly, pointing out various plants and fungi and having gear on hand for hiking, and the yoga itself was beautiful and restorative. I also CANNOT understate how beautiful the scenery is. There is absolutely nothing like it. Definitely a great thing to do with your friends, and especially for a bachelorette party!

We booked a private yoga hike for my sister's birthday over memorial day weekend and it was perfect! Out guide, Leaflin was wonderful! She guided us through the hike, stopping to observe local cows, herbs and plants along the way. The hike was moderately paced for all 6 of us in the group. Then brought us to the top of the mountain with a great view where we did yoga and meditation and shared hot tea before making the hike back down. Would highly recommend! This was such an amazing experience that I would do time and time again. My husband and I along with another couple that we were vacationing with did the private yoga mountain hike sunset. It was so magical. Heidi was our instructor, who also doubled as a tour guide up along the way pointing out some beautiful pieces of nature (wild flowers, history of the rocks, and nice other nature details that we really appreciated). She was so patient as we stopped along the way to snap some beautiful pictures. She also took pictures of our group as well which was such a nice touch! Once you get to the top, she finds a nice spot for the mats. It was really nice that mats were provided since we are out of towners. With COVID all mats are sanitized before and after reach use. Heidi was a great instructor. My husband and I have some experience with yoga, although my friends who are beginners really enjoyed the poses and found them easy to do. I really enjoyed our conversation as we hiked. She is so sweet and has such good energy, which is so important for yoga. Would 100% recommend!! If you’re looking for a sign, this is it!! Amazing team and made our trip memorable! I reached out to Caitlin a few weeks before our trip. Even during this pandemic we were able to enjoy socially distance activities that made our trip unforgettable! It was a small family trip to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday. We did a virtual cooking class that was fantastic with yummy local rainbow trout, a yoga hike with a personal tour guide and a virtual tarot card reading. Aside from the personalized activities, Caitlin was an excellent resource for a local florist (Carolina flowers was amazing), bakery (Short street bakery also amazing) and restaurant recommendations. We went with her recommendations for Nine mile and Blue Curry Dream house. She and her partner Nicole were so kind and accessible. I even got a hold of Nicole on a Sunday evening about a question. Absolutely amazing!!!!! Nice hike with beautiful 360 view. We had an up close and personal experience with the cows that roam the farm land, which added a fun layer to the experience . The yoga practice was gentle and fun. The best part about the whole experience was our yoga teacher, Caitlin. She checked in with everyone, making sure to make any modifications for those who may have needed it. She was knowledgeable and considerate. She knew that it was my birthday and went out of her way to make me feel special. I would highly recommend this yoga hike.

What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with the kids doing goat yoga at Round Mountain Creamery in Black Mountain. The precious little goats just melted into our arms. My kids absolutely loved being able to be so close to them and love on them. We truly enjoyed the peaceful yoga experience at the farm in the beautiful field. The goat cheese we sampled was so delicious, I ended up bringing two different kinds home. I highly recommend giving goat yoga a try!

What an amazing experience! My mom and I had never been to Asheville and I thought this would be a fun way to see the natural part of the city and get a little exercise. I am so glad I booked it! It was a moderate walk and the view was incredible; also neat to have cows around. I think I said "Wow!" about 20 times. Sadie was our guide and she was awesome! I haven't been able to take an in-person yoga class in over a year and it was really nice to have a knowledgeable instructor who gave me tips to improve my practice. She also adjusted the practice to accommodate my mom's recent knee surgery. We got tips for what to do and where to eat while we were in town. I will 100% be booking again if/when I return to NC!

Katie was delightful! She was on time and visited with us as we ascended the trail. I turned 70 the next day, and she used a pace that was just perfect. The view at the top was amazing, meadow, cows & stunning mountains. The yoga was at a pace that both he my daughter & I could do. Had a wonderful encounter with one of the cows! Katie even brought along a cupcake for my birthday. So thoughtful!! My daughter & I highly recommend the experience.

Mandy was amazing! She led the hike at a pace that was appropriate for my fitness level. We got to the top and enjoyed the cows before we did a yoga class. The yoga was wonderful after the hike and the sounds of nature made the experience over the top!! It had been a very rainy day so we didn't get to see the sunset but instead I can now say I did yoga IN a cloud!! Mandy was top notch, professional, and knowledgeable about the area and things on the trail. She could seamlessly adjust everything to feel like it was an experience customized to me and not a canned tour. I highly recommend Mandy as your guide, I just don't see how it could get any better!!

I loved attending J. Chong's virtual cooking class. Asheville Wellness Tours was a great host and organizer - I had the ingredients and recipes in advance with time to plan, and a separate email with the link was very helpful. Even better, I loved the open format allowing attendees to interact - so many times these sort of online events are presentation only with moderated questions and feedback, and the hosts did make sure any posted questions were addressed, but the ability to respond and chat directly in the moment made it feel like we were really all together in the same room. Plus, J. is a great presenter and chef, and the cooking was fun and delicious! I'd definitely do this again, and look forward to trying some of the in-person events with Asheville Wellness Tours.

Great hike up Bearwallow Mtn and yoga. Our guide was organized, prepared and welcoming. Our pace up the mountain was great for all in our group with just the right amount of stopping to take in the view and the forest. The small group of 10 was the perfect size. Guide was great to check in with everyone when making decisions. I would definitely recommend. I was one of the oldest at 56, with many 30 something’s and I will definitely go again.

Despite the freezing temperatures, Leaflin from Asheville Wellness Tours braced the wind to give us a short hike uphill, an amazing beginner short yoga class with gorgeous views, and hilarious pictures which we will cherish for our lifetime. Even the thoughtful hot tea and snacks after the yoga made the experience much more than what we expected. Leaflin was so kind and made us have an amazing time despite the snow flurries falling down at the end of our trip. We hiked up the mountain in April, we gawked at the scenery. We discussed the cows, the city and the flora in the area. We did a lovely yoga practice for an hour and were rewarded with some tea. I felt very different on my walk back down. Wish every morning started like this!

The website where I first booked the appointment was a little confusing with regards to their rates. beautiful hike up the mountains, hike is medium difficulty (IMO), doing yoga near the cows at sunset at the top of the mountain was wonderful. My advice is to make sure to find a relatively flat spot of ground. Your guide will take pictures of you if you like and send them to you.
