A “must do experience “!! Great boat, service was very friendly, the ranger that narrated our tour was a wealth of information. Captain Chris was very fun to chat with too. The scenery was beyond compare. Surprisingly good food for an afternoon tour too. One of the best adventures during our Alaska tour.

I took a tour in Philip cruises last week.
I chose a Glacier quest cruise. We had a comfortable ride by bus from Anchorage to Whittier with beautiful landscape view and one stop to make a photos. We start tour from Whittier port and all time enjoy in magnificent mountains view. During the ride we had a interesting story told by expirienced guided-ranger. Lunch was a tasty Salmon meal. Later we saw many Glacier in different phases of moving. Kindly and professionally personal on the boat make this tours safe and please to. Highly recommended this tours if have desire to see wild Alaska. Thanks guys for unforgettable expirience.

Super friendly crew! Captain did great and ensured boat was rotated so both sides could see things! All around excellent 5 hours! 100s of pictures and memories to last a life time!!

An amazing experience! We did the glacier cruise. The staff was very informative, the views were great. I would highly recommend cruising with them.

Amazing experience and breathtaking! Took the 26 Glacier cruise. Awesome lunch and boat. Crew was awesome - one knew magic.

I’ve taken a glacier cruise on Phillips in Whittier and on a different glacier cruise out of Valdez.
This cruise out of Whittier gets you right up to the glaciers! Whereas the Valdez one doesn’t. The staff was all very nice! Super informative. And I got hot chowder and a hot cookie, which was amazing cause it’s pretty cold when you’re standing out on the deck.

I went on the train plus 26 glacier cruise package in the middle of July. It was an awesome experience. The Alaskan Railroad train ride was great, the train cars are comfortable and smooth with restrooms. Once we arrived in Whittier it was just a short walk across the street to the boat check in. The catamaran boat was really smooth and doesn’t rock at all. There are restrooms on board, heated cabin with restaurant style type tables and seats and several outside viewing areas. Service was good and the clam chowder lunch was good. The views of the glaciers were amazing. The boat gets close to several glaciers so there are plenty of photo opportunities included some spots to photograph wildlife. Overall it was definitely a 5 Star experience. If you’re debating which tour to take, it depends on how much time you have. If you have all day, I’d recommend the 26 glacier tour. I’d also recommend dressing in layers so you can bundle up as needed and bring a windbreaker type jacket with a hood as your outer layer if you plan to go outside on deck.

WOW! The views were once in a lifetime, the wildlife was incredible, the narration was great! We loved our Salmon Chowder and veggies. My Glacier Margarita with fresh glacier ice was just the tip of the iceberg, literally! Whales of all kinds, otters, seals, a goat, and bald eagles were amazing. We saw glacial calving. Amazing! I want to go every year!

Probably one of our favorite things we did in Alaska during our trip. The captain had an amazing sense of humor on the Bravest, the salmon chowder was really good and the food was generously portioned. Out of control anyone's control was who we'd sit with; but still awesome was our seat mates. They were fun people. The views and the glaciers of course were absolutely stunning. We saw stellar sea lions, sea otters, and a bald eagle. It was end of season so we expected to see less/no wildlife so that was ok.
An unexpected surprise was learning the boat's 9/11 history. The Bravest helped evacuate Manhattan and was the last ferry to evacuate. Well as it were I have a ton of family in NY and my uncle evacuated on one of the last, maybe the last ferry, I can't remember. But what are the odds? On 9/10 that was definitely a sweet moment to have.
Wonderful trip my whole family loved. Thank you!

Wow this was truly majestic and very well put together! The food, the service, and the views were all amazing. The prices at the snack bar and the on board gift shop were very reasonably priced! I will be recommending this to all my friends who plan to go to Alaska someday soon! Thank you Phillips Cruises!

The cruise experience was pleasant and memorable. The crew and staffs was kind and accommodating. Bit expensive but worth the price. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, air was crisp and clean. It’s a must to do when visiting Alaska.

Fun cruise, we got lucky and had amazing weather!

Great service and lunch was decent and plenty of snacks and drinks to buy. Get to drink real glacier water.

We did the Phillips 26 Glacier tour which was a sweet mix of Alaska Railroad and cruise on a boat...Excellently organized and executed, super nice and friendly staff...special call out to the Narrator, Captain Bobby, on the glacier cruise who narrated non stop for over 5 hours...his passion for what he does was apparent and made the tour engaging and informative in a fun way....he needs a raise!!!!

We took the 26 Glacier tour from Whittier. We we're lucky to have a sunny last day in July with scattered clouds. The crew was just the ultimate, representing several states across the country. The salmon chowder lunch was excellent, they even had a vegetarian option!
One can't ask for more!
Phillips Cruises will be a highlight of our time in Alaska!

We went on a rainy foggy day. Check on rescheduling policies. Since it was so foggy, the captain made every effort to make the cruise worth our while by exploring areas that are not routinely visited during cruises.
Viktoriia Ashbaugh
It was unforgettable tour!!! We saw many glaciers, wild life and nature. The crew were amazing and super friendly with everything. Food was delicious too. It was rainy day but we got the best experience in our life. I highly recommend to everyone in Alaska!!! Absolutely fantastic!
Nishanth Thummala
The cruise was very enjoyable! The views were incredible, the air was pure and crisp, and they were very accommodating. I recommend the 26 Glaciers Cruise for anyone looking to check out Alaskan nature (so basically everyone).
Adam Hofmann
It's hard to give a completely accurate review because I went on the first glacier cruise of the year and many of the glaciers were still covered in snow. But the captain took us to a few other little hideaways not normally on the menu to make up for that. We were able to see many different animals, and the experience was one I'll make any time I return.
The staff was friendly, the food was quite delectable.
Ed Johnston
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Staff, the cruise, the sights, the narration were amazing!!! The highlight of our 8 day stay in AK!!! If you're around Anchorage, AK and have a high desire to see glaciers and wildlife this is a must do in my opinion! If and when I come back, I will definitely be doing this again!!!! Well worth the money! 26 glacier cruise within the Klondike Express!! Look for it!

My sister and I did the glacier Quest Tour on September 2, 2022. We walked into the office in Anchorage and Tyler helped us out. Great experience, Tyler is the man!
Erik B
Great experience. The staff and crew were very welcoming and pleasant. It was pretty overcast and foggy when we left port, but besides this the views were great and hearing the large glacier crack and watching it calve was amazing. The only constructive criticism I have is that Whittier can do a lot better with signage to aid visitors on where to park as the parking lot for the cruise was full and the directions provided on where to park was not clear.
Anna
It’s amazing. We saw Glaciers, sea otters, seals, Eagle, and Dolphins. It’s super pleasant and well organized. Amazing customer service. We did the 26 Cruise ship. Amazing experience

We took the 26 Glacier tour from Whittier in 2016. It was such am amazing experience, not only seeing the beautiful glaciers but also different wildlife. Orca's, mountain goats, various birds, and i believe even a polar bear on an iceberg. The crew was great, and they had a fun activity for the kids to do. The food was also really good. Book early in the season because they seat people in the best places according to their date of booking. We had excellent seats at the very 1st table since we reserved months in advance.
Ha Dong
Great service, friendly staff and have a good chowder and other drinks on board..
Heather Johnson
What a great trip! We were pleasantly surprised by how good lunch was. The crew was very informative. It did rain our entire trip, so dress accordingly. But, we saw so much and warmed up inside. Thanks for a wonderful family trip!
DJ RC
Wonderful experience all around. Assigned seats relieved stress for all. Excellent and filling lunch - the chowder was so good! The complimentary beverages were also a big hit. Even the captain's commentary was great, filled with fascinating facts and informative. We all loved it. Smooth sailing too. 👍👍👍👍👍 …
Eric Chase
Crew is patient, friendly, and accommodating of people's desire to gawk at sea otters and whales and whatnot. Seeing the glaciers themselves is a truly awesome, if existentially draining, experience; as the captain will explain, they're dying.
Regardless, on my trip the food was good, the views were outstanding, and the crew were friendly. Highly recommend.

Whether you are traveling to Alaska, or you live here, you owe it to yourself to take this cruise. Phillips Cruises 26 Glacier Cruise is an incredible experience, with a world-class organization. Professional, courteous, customer-focused, very reasonably priced, and boat facilities (including bathrooms) were spotless. Its an extremely stable vessel gliding you through some breathtaking Alaskan beauty. From every angle, this company, and this trip, are one of the very best. Seriously, take this marine tour. You’ll never regret it. Bob Johnson, Director of Marketing, Great Alaskan Holidays.

As a lifelong Alaskan I have went out on this cruise now 6 times. We would take out of state guests, and have always had a wonderful experience. This time we made it a family event, my son Marty Weatherell was the conductor on the train down and back, so even family there! This trip was absolutely beautiful. The staff has always been first class, as well as the boat. Every effort was put into making this cruise the best possible experience by the entire crew. We were able to witness huge calving from the glacier, fin whales very close to the boat, sea otters and seals. While the smoke was a factor at times the pilot made up for it at other stops.Have and will send people on this trip! We are already planning for next year!

Best Chowder and Coleslaw I’ve ever had!
Service was spectacular, the bartender was so honest and pleasant. Our ship was also lucky enough to see a whale couple! I recommend buying their fridge magnets to remember the wonderful experience.

Tourist Trip Highlight: We booked the 26 Glaciers Cruise via the Anchorage office on 4th Avenue. They also arranged our shuttle to/from Whittier and, thanks to driver/narrator Dawn, that was a fun excursion in its own right. The boat ride was fantastic; the scenery, the sealife, the birdlife, and the onboard crew were all excellent. The onboard catering and other facilities were all great. Special mention to crew member Arian who went above and beyond to ensure we were happy onboard, and we were.
Lisa Holton
Overall a good experience, but window seats are charged the same as interior seats. Not ideal as interior seats cannot view nearly as well. Meals were good. The sights and narration were lovely. On board staff were great, dock staff were less friendly and spoke to my friend in a wheelchair like she was a 4 year old. The fact that the only handicap parking close enough to be accessible requires a parking fee that able-bodied don't have to pay because they can walk from a lot farther away is something Phillips needs to renegotiate with the marine parking people.
Jessica Jeffers
Absolutely amazing. The staff were VERY friendly from start to finish. We took the train (totally worth it). The train tickets were booked for us when we purchased our cruise tickets online. All we had to do was give our names and ID at the train station in Anchorage. I do not like salmon so we opted for a "kids meal". It was not a big deal. They didnt care that adults wanted a kids meal. Complimentary coffee was available throughout the whole trip which was VERY nice since it was so windy and cold. Wear a thick coat. We went at the beginning of June and I was glad I wore my carhart coat. Also, wear a beanie or something with a hood if you are going to be on the deck. This was an amazing adventure and I was so glad that we went. Take this cruise, you wont regret it. Also, I get car sick after being in the car for 15 minutes... I NEVER felt nauseous on the Klondike Express. It was AMAZING!!

Beautiful day and excellent experience but was crowded with people around hard to make beautiful pictures! Highly Recommend this and take professional camera 🎥 and drone all good for professional video and pictures …

Locals will not be disappointed. I've lived in Anchorage for 10 years hearing the song on the radio, but never going on the cruise. We decided to go and experience something the 'tourists rave about.' Very friendly staff and spectacular views. We even saw a 5 story glacier calving. Lots of otters, sea lions, and birds. Even spotted a goat. Well worth a Saturday. Only improvement I'd like to see was baked fish instead of fried, but still tasty nonetheless. I was nervous about eating at the beginning of the trip, but they aren't kidding about the no-seasickness guarantee. Very smooth ride even at 35 knots. As a fisherman that was quite unbelievable to me. I look forward to hearing that song on the radio and remember a great trip.

Beautiful glaciers. We took the 26 glacier cruise, and it was so nice. The salmon chowder and meal was hot and delicious. We saw otters, terns, and a fin whale. Fresh, hot chocolate chip cookies were also made to munch on for the return trip!

Our group of 3 thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. It was absolutely smooth sailing for us. The guides and staff were cordial, helpful, and knowledgeable. We saw otters, eagles, and Dall's porpoises. We were disappointed not to see any whales or seals but we understand there is no guarantee (early June date). Our time viewing glaciers was wonderful and we got really close to Surprise Glacier. We did see some calving. This trip was well worth the money!

I’m a FOB (Fresh off this boat) What an amazing experience. Boat and staff were awesome 👏🏽 the glacier are sooo majestic. Lunch and snack were delicious. I would do it again and suggest it to anyone who’s coming to Alaska. I don’t usually write reviews. I read lots of them to help me figure out fun things to do when I’m traveling. I enjoyed this this much I felt compelled to share so helpfully this will help someone else to have an amazing experience too. Louisa from Hotel Captain Cook suggested this. She n that hotel are amazing too. If you a place to stay in Anchorage.

This was our best experience in Alaska by a long shot! We loved this company and our whole boat trip! We did the sunset cruise --the food, staff and vessel were amazing! Best way to see tidal glaciers for sure!

Quality tour, great for folks who want a more comfortable Alaska sightseeing experience. I've taken visitors on the 26 Glacier Tour several times and had fun every time. Beautiful scenery and a good chance of wildlife.

We enjoyed the 26 glacier cruise and I would recommend it. Great way to get a different perspective of the beautiful Alaskan glaciers, scenery, and wildlife.

Always believe in exploring and went on a tour when I was in Middle School. All tours should reach out to schools and inspire young minds. Also, as a adult you might not be able to afford or do. If you do for adults offer fun beer tasting tours, fishing etc. Also, tours would be cool to stop in and see villages or other sights. Also, where are docks in Anchorage? There is a port but no docks for others. Monopolized

They take good care of you. Stop for enough time at each glacier, spot and stop at sea life, decent bar and food. The shuttle works pretty well too if you make it a day trip from Anchorage.
