The Deluxe Trolley Tour was so fun. It’s great because we got to get out a couple of times. Our driver, Donna, was so knowledgeable about the area. She had great personal stories to tell which made all the information so real. She did it in a fun way, too. I highly recommend the 1-1/2 hour deluxe tour while you’re in Anchorage!!

Absolutely loved the tour and our tour guide, Isaac, was so knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The only comment I have is about the pick up and drop off location being right next to where all the homeless congregate on the City Hall steps and near the cannabis shop. We were attacked one block down on the sidewalk after we were dropped off and I had to call 911 after the guy wouldn't leave us alone. Obviously mental health/drug issues but he threw a punch at me and put us in a position to have to defend ourselves. Could've happened to anyone and I think it would be a lot safer to find another pick up location.

Booked the One Hour Trolley Tour. Came for this tour within hours of arriving in Anchorage as wanted a good informative tour about Anchorage. Staff was well-organized upon arriving in getting everyone together and boarded. Upon boarding, you can sit anywhere you want and didn't seem to be any advantageous seats. A few seats on each side do have windows that open all the way, but most opened them for pictures, then closed them as we picked up speeds. As far as the tour, it was very fun and informational. Was a great introduction on the history of Anchorage. Learned a good amount about the culture, history, landmarks, sights, etc... I learned a lot about the devastating 1964 earthquake and its dramatic effects. I recommend this tour for a good overall education tour about Anchorage.

A great tour! Our guide Donna was wonderful, telling us the history of Anchorage interwoven with personal stories and anecdotes. This tour is a good way to get an overview of the city and drive by some attractions that you'll want to visit later on your own. Highly recommend the "One Hour Trolley Tour." When you're done with the tour, stop by the Visitor Center and pick up some free Alaska postcards, which they'll even mail for you!

On August 1st, my family took the hour Anchorage Trolley Tour. Our multi-talented guide, Alice, was a WILD & CRAZY GAL! 😁 Extremely informative & fun presentation! Learned things I didn't know (even though I grew up in Anchorage, since 1968). Alice tied all of the city/ state facts together in an exciting way, and is gifted with a beautiful voice! I live in Myrtle Beach, SC now but still have family/ friends in the state. Glad to see the mountains and beauty of Alaska again. The trolley tour was so much fun!!!! I wish it was longer. Our tour guide Isaac was great, really informative and went above and beyond. We saw 2 baby moose and a mama moose , and he turned the trolley around to make sure we all got a good view. It was fun seeing the city sites. The two individuals who helped us onto the trolley were helpful as well (sadly did not catch their names). Definitely recommend!! Thanks guys!:)

Our Guide, KRIS, was outstanding! We had a great time with him and his corny jokes. He was obviously quite knowledgeable and was articulate about Anchorage and is quite proud of being an Alaskan native. We liked the stops that he picked and felt that he gave us plenty of time off the bus. He was very conscientious and very congenial about taking pictures of the bus riders at various spots along the route. The tour was chosen well and planned very well. we highly recommend this tour!

They were great. We had a wonderful lady who took us on a 1:45 min tour. She was very energetic and you can tell she loves where she lives and is very excited about showing it off. This is a fairly new business and the trollies are brand new. She showed us a bit of downtown, earthquake affected areas, residential area and the float plane airport. I'm sure there was a ton more she could have shown but there is only so much you can see in this time frame. I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

We had a wonderful tour of Anchorage with Donna. She was an entertaining and enthusiastic guide who provided a great amount of information. Her presentation style kept us interested on the 90 minute tour. Because it was raining, we were not able to get out of the trolley at Earthquake Park. However, she got out to note the fault line and to point out how the earth had shifted. Great tour -- highly recommend it!

My 74-year old mother & I were in Anchorage for 2 days as part of a “Land & Sea” vacation. Looking for something to do in a town we knew virtually nothing about, we thought this would be a good way to learn more & get ideas of other things to do. It was good that and so much more! Our tour guide was fantastic - knowledgeable, personable, funny, and engaging. The fact that she was a ‘local’ made her stories & perspectives that much more entertaining and helped us appreciate how truly awesome this town is.This is a reasonably priced, terrific way for visitors of any age & activity level to spend a little free time. Highly recommend it!

On a whim, and a recommendation from the customer service desk, I opted to try out the Anchorage trolley tour. We arrived at approximately five till one, and we’re able to get on the 130 tour. We bought tickets, When we returned at 1:20 pm the line was forming to board the bus Everyone boarded, our driver introduced herself, gave a brief safety instruction and we were on our way!! Our driver, I think her name is Ann, was cheerful and knowledgeable. She asked each row where they were from to get an idea of her audience. As people identified the city and state they were from, if she had a tidbit of info, she offered her insight. She drove us around Anchorage, stopping at places of interest such as earthquake Park, a high school, a lake that serves as a landing strip for the puddle jumpers, a few highlights of downtown, and a unique underground home. At one point, she was talking about the park, and noticed two moose across the road, so she took time to allow folks to use their camera to capture images, and provided us interesting facts and tidbits about the local moose population. Overall we had a nice time, it was an informative, made a chuckle a couple of times, and overall well worth or hour and $25 per person. If you were in Anchorage and have a couple of hours to spare, I would recommend this tour.

Great way to start off my trip. Tour guide and driver Amber was knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. Amber started talking at 858am and we finished the tour about 954 am so it wasn't cut short by any means. Would recommend to anybody coming into Anchorage for the first time like myself, it set the mood for the rest of my trip

We loved the trolley tour. Our guide Isaac was fantastic...a great communicator with many facts about the area and relevant stories. We learned a lot about the earthquake in 1964. Also much about the sea planes and moose! We had about an hour before we had to head to the airport so this was a neat way to spend time rather than sit in our hotel room! We definitely recommend it!

We experienced a wonderful 90 minute fun-filled tour with Jenny, our guide. She was knowledgeable of the history of Anchorage, sharing the human stories of courage and resourcefulness that it took to settle this part of the USA. We stopped at several sights to take in the view and hear more stories and jokes. It was very relaxing. My favorite part was walking down the embankment where the 1964 earthquake buried homes (as well as a few residents) and seeing the ground waves frozen in time. It was a sacred moment. Jenny made us feel like part of the Anchorage family!

Our tour guide was AMAZING! She shared a ton of historical information and mixed in some humorous jokes. She even sang a few songs she had made up about Alaska! Our tour was very informative. We Highly recommend it. First of all - the meeting place was clearly defined and well accessible. There was zero delay. We were loaded up within minutes. Also our guide, Alice, was a local. Her knowledge of the city and the state was brilliant. She was a careful driver as well as a genius guide. We really enjoyed our Anchorage Trolley Tour. We took the extended tour that took us to Earthquake Park. I do wish we had time to explore but that is not possible on a tour like this but we got so much information about the earthquake and aftermath while there. The view of Anchorage from the park is beautiful! We also went to an area where the Salmon are moving upstream. Terrific photo opportunities! I got lots of midair salmon shots. At another stop we had a chance viewing of a small bear actually swimming across the river. I do regret we didn’t have time for the ‘City Tour”. Anchorage is spread out over a large area. I believe it would have helped us to navigate better when we rented a car later. Highly recommend.

The Anchorage Trolley Tour was great in spite of the inclement weather. Our guide Donna (a local from the are) was not only an entertaining educator who shared a wealth of information. She presented facts and stories from her heart. One could tell she was proud about the history which she shared and the personal touch (because she is related to some of the people she spoke about added a nice touch) SUPER good tour guide. Our family loved the trolly tour. It took just an hour of our time but showed many of Anchorage’s highlights and historic sites. Loved seeing a typical neighborhood to get a better feel for life here that we wouldn’t have understood staying in a hotel. Isaac was a great tour guide with lots of anecdotal information and for getting us close to the land changes in Earthquake Park.

Alice, our driver/tour guide, was fabulous! Very entertaining! I think the hour tour would have sufficed, however, as there really wasn’t a need to pay so much more money for the ability to get out of the trolley at each stop. Didn’t feel that was necessary. Well worth the money for a trolley ride if you don't have a lot of time in Anchorage. Jen was excellent, friendly drive and tour guide, visiting all the prominent spots of Anchorage. In an hour we visited key sites, well worth it.

Absolutely love the tours! Super cute and quick 1 hr. tour around anchorage giving you a history of the city and how it was built. Definitely recommend if you've got an hour of downtime. I would have done the deluxe but my schedule didn't allow :(

My husband and I have lived in Alaska for 29 years, but had never taken the Anchorage trolley before. Friends from North Carolina came for a visit, and since it was raining, we were looking for sheltered activities to do... are we ever glad we did this! Dave was an amazing guide, and we learned new things that we had never heard before about AK! Some of his stories had us looking at each other and shaking our heads in disbelief. After the tour, we googled the info and it is ALL TRUE! Take this tour, you won't regret it! And if the weather is nice, take the 1.5 hour version, where you can get out to take pictures!

Had a DEUCE of a time following Google Maps instructions to the Visitor Center ("Turn there", but no 'there' there.) (construction) BUT WORTH THE TROUBLE! In turns, so informative, fascinating, & fun. OUR guide grew up with the Sarah Palin kids. (Wonderful lady. Spoilt kids.) I'd recommend the Anchorage Trolley Tour to ANY visitor! :o)

We did then tour to the earthquake site. Our driver Donna had decent knowledge and lots of stories. Visiting the earthquakes site was interesting but not as exciting as I’d hoped it would be. Deducting one star because Donna felt it necessary to insert her political views into a comment about gas prices and some day making the drive to Alaska. Sorry it also cost her a gratuity. Upd: appreciate the response but I think my bigger comment is that political commentary was not necessary, regardless of whether we were aligned politically or not.

I apologize for the delay. If you are even remotely thinking about visiting Anchorage and trying to decide what you should do...take the extended tour and wait until you can go with Donna. Donna is the epitome of an educator, an entertainer, a historian, a genuine human being. As a retired educator myself, I judge the presenter by the attention shown by those on the tour. Guess what....nobody was checking their text messages, making calls, sleeping, acting bored....the pride in the history of Anchorage was so very apparent...Donna and her family ARE Anchorage. $20 for about an hour. Speaker system and the guide were great (other than the corny jokes). Most of the other passengers were older couples from cruises. Took us to some interesting places, earthquake park, kincaid park, talked a lot about the earthquake. Comfortable enough seats. Recommending getting a window seat, it's very hard to get pictures of anything.

My wife and I are first timers in Anchorage, but have read a lot on Alaska. So this Trolley tour raised our level of knowledge of various facts, especially around the 1964 earthquake, the story of the sled dogs that were so heroic, the size of Alaska relative to the rest of USA and North America, Captain Cooke, and the role of bush pilots and planes in helping Alaska grow. The married and Alaska-experienced team of presenters were very easy to follow and to like, and we felt this was a very worthwhile use of our limited time in this city, including the 4-5 stops we made along the way to get off the trolley and experience the different major points they were making, so by the end we felt we "knew" Anchorage much better than we could have otherwise. And amazingly (gratefully) they did not spend any of our time pushing various stores, businesses, or points of view.

We were able to get on and off at a few stops and I was happy we picked the longer tour that allowed this. I always try to take a tour like this if I am going to be in a town for a few days. This tour was certainly among the best. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to learn more about the town.

The Red Trolley Tour is The Way to see the city, it's environs, get the lay of the land, learn some history, and most importantly, Have Fun!! I decided the 2 hour tour could be better for photos and interaction than the 1 hour drive, and couldn't have made a better decision, or had a better time! Your driver, host, song stylist found a great way to bring her nightclub act on the road...literally! Topic: balance of 200 men for each woman. Your guide let's you know exactly how her gender feels by breaking into song about the lack of personal hygiene by mountain men! A wild and witty one she dives into full voiced, and a great one it is! Then she tells you about the founding of the land by Capt Cook, who was unfortunately named the same as his own fate at the hands of peeved Hawaiians, who also share a love for the 49th state. You see boats, planes, trains, submerged homes, and an earthquake hiding in a beautiful forrest, each with a story. You laugh, you learn, you look for moose. Sorry not to have seen any is brushed aside as she again breaks into a witty ditty about Alaskan roadkill. Then she stops by a riveting mural at a local school, and you learn why you're learning....she taught there! Probably why she's good at keeping us moving on and off the lil' red bus. As she returns us to the starting point, she explains the emotional origins of the beautiful state flag, then launches into her grand finalé, an equally stirring song of the land she so clearly loves. And so will you! Only there for the day, the 2 hour tour went by too quickly, and was The Best decision I could have made!

Fun way to get to know the city in a short period of time. Guides are funny, knowledgeable. Was able to hit up.a few places i might otherwise not have seen. Only practical tip: bring bug spray if you go in summer. The "alaska state bird" arrives in large numbers at several of the stops and are thirsty for your blood. Earthquake park in particular is mosquito central. Favorite part is that our guide was an aspiring marriage counselor and she worked that into.a running comedy bit during the tour.

Cyrus was great - super nice and absurdly hard working! We bought our tickets from him and he also gave us some great advice on other things to do while we were there outside of his tour. The tour guide, Donna, was funny and really knowledgeable. We loved it. The only thing I would change, and trust me this isn't a 'woke' moment because it's annoyed me since I was little, was saying that the early explorers from Europe 'discovered' Alaska........makes me cringe every time. Please change it to say that they were the first Europeans to visit that area, they did not discover it.
