We were walking through the streets of Ybor checking out the various cigar shops and stopped into Long Ash. The staff here are extremely friendly and accommodating. They showed us the various cigars they make in their humidor and had people rolling cigars at the front so you can see how cigars are assembled/rolled. One of the staff explained the drying process that follows after the rolling is complete. We purchased a few cigars and came back the next day for more cigars and drinks. The experience and atmosphere was awesome and we will be sure to stop in again next time we are in Tampa.

Fabulous hand rolled cigars at great prices!!! Very nice place, well stocked bar, great people that work there. Very knowledgeable about their cigars and alcohol!! They have their people rolling cigars right there in the store, which is very interesting to watch.

They roll everything fresh and by hand. On site. In front of you. They will even help you cut and light if you need it. We did. Rum bar. Overall a fantastic experience and cannot wait to try it again.

Great experience! I had some questions and the OWNER (Mike) called me himself and gave me some great information. Very flavorful cigars. Newer smokers might consider the Connecticuts as they are lighter. The "Bullets" are amazing with plenty of flavor! These are all hand rolled by experienced staff. They come shipped in loose leaf tobacco to keep fresh during shipping. I'm a customer! Looking forward to a visit to sit outside with a glass of rum and a stick! Nice job everyone.

Haley is the best!! Very knowledgeable, personable and makes the best drinks. I recommend going on a Wednesday to visit her and experience the chill vibes longash has to provide. Didn’t know much about cigars before going in there and now can say I’m much more knowledgeable because of their great staff!

As soon as I entered the establishment, the staff was very professional and prompt. He asked if I have visited there before and immediately began showing me around. He then entertained any question that I had. While shopping, an individual entered without a mask and the employee was very polite by asking him to please step out and put a mask on. The customer kindly respected him and did so. Great customer service.

Long Ash Cigars is a very friendly, fun, and refined atmosphere. The staff, especially Francesca and Ryan, are super friendly and knowledgeable. Ask for them to explain the process of making the cigars in house. Perfect for reading, cards, and conversations. The bar is also a rum focused bar, and their specials are amazing. Enjoyed Brittany and Jojo's knowledge and service on a Sunday afternoon. Since they specialize in rum we had a tasty mango specialty and local beers while enjoying cigars picked for us based on our tastes. The Cuban cigar roller we communicated with through Jojo welcomed photos. Regulars came to pick up favorite cigars from the humidor while we tourist enjoyed the Long Ash.

I stopped by to grab some sample cigars. Well I grabbed some of the super duper toros. Not a size I normally pick but they smelled great. Burned one last night and it is a great cigar. Not for the faint of heart, but they are superb. Glad I grabbed 5. The staff was helpful and friendly.

EXTREMELY helpful!! Several other shops on 7th, not worth your time. Go to Long Ash cigar! Not only do they go over details and history, but they have lots of cool swag!!! Guitars, lighters, cutters, ashtrays, even cheap boxes! My boyfriend keeps saying he wished we would have gone here first!!!!

Stopped by from out of town and I was impressed. Just lit up a torpedo I bought from them and it’s a very high quality construction, complex flavors, and a great smoke without any aging needed. Very reasonable prices given the quality offered here. Great service, too. Definitely recommend to any cigar folks visiting Tampa.

I am from Chicago, and my friend took me to this cigar lounge. It was a medium size lounge with a good ventilation system and nice sized humidor of hand made cigars. A small section of lighters and ash trays. Christie, the bartender, was very friendly and participated in our conversation. She lit our cigars and gave great service. Of course, there were only 3-4 customers at the bar on an early afternoon on a Saturday. I will frequent this cigar lounge on my next trip to Florida.

Probably the best shop in ybor, it is quiet and relaxed, giving you all of the Cuban vibes that the city has to offer. The Cafe con Leche coffee here is fantastic. They offer cigars that are rolled and aged fresh in the shop for great prices. Cannot think of anything negative about this shop.

Stopped on our way from Orlando to Naples, no business hours posted on the door. We walked around killing time for a bit doing what tourists do. At 10:56 2 members off their staff came out and I asked if they were open, they said not until 11:00. We figured if they couldn’t invite us in with 4 minutes to go, they didn’t need our money. Tried Longash on a recommendation from a friend. John helped with the cigar selection, and recomended some fine drinks to complement the cigars. It was an incredible experience. The cigars were amazing, and John was the consummate gentleman. Left with 15 cigars to take home, and they have become my go to for all occasions. Will be ordering more. If you enjoy a fine cigar, a wonderful atmosphere, and top notch service, go to Longash. If John meets you at the bar you will not be disappointed!

However, we also wanted to ensure the cigars were fresh and authentic. I contacted Mike at Long Ash Cigars and I'm so happy I did. My husband and I went in to the shop a few days prior to the wedding and were so impressed. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, and helped us pick some great cigars for our honeymoon. On the wedding day they were easy to work with, arrived on time and provided excellent cigars for all our guests. Our guests are still raving about how amazing their services were, and how happy they were to be able to take some cigars home. We would recommend Long Ash Cigars time and time again, and will definitely be back!

It seems like every other shop in ybor is a cigar shop, with that being said, this is the shop I come to most and the one I bring out of town friends to as well. It's quiet, charming, and every cigar in the humidor is hand rolled at the shop. The owner and the manager are stand up guys who treat customers like friends. They are happy to answer any questions and I've never felt judged for not knowing enough about cigars.

My wife and I just visited on the 10th of April. Got there in the morning and Nicky was fantastic. Knew her stuff. And made a wicked Cafe con Leche. Smoked in the shop and brought back several sticks. The owner was also very cool and helpful to us. Would recommend this place for sure. They only have handrolleds except a very limited flavored selection like acid. They also have flavored tipped handrolleds if that's your thing. Try the candela or the mild Barbor pole unsweetened of course. With the coffee they serve it is a great experience!

I was in Tampa for a work convention in April 2013. Our company president insisted I take my wife. We stayed in Clearwater Beach and I commuted to the convention daily. We were staying the weekend to relax and enjoy the area. On Saturday my wife insisted that we visit Ybor City, esp since I informed her that it was the Cigar Capital of the USA and a great Cuban neighborhood to visit. I smoke cigars occasionally but usually not in her presence since she does not like the aroma of cigar smoke and, therefore, was surprised at her suggestion. We had a great time and I happened upon Long Ash Cigars. We live in Wisconsin and we have some great cigar shops in the greater Milwaukee area but non have the quality of hand rolled cigars that come from this shop. I purchased about 20 cigars while visiting the shop and brought home a business card, after finding out I could purchase cigars over the phone and have them shipped to my house. I order cigars whenever my humidor is getting low and they arrive save and sound. The Cuban Sandwiches are an outstanding value and I now am forced to purchase several bundles for my friends when ordering. All of the other cigars, which are hand rolled by this shop, are a class act, smoke well, have outstanding flavor, and are a pleasure.

So, cigars, like everything else in life, are about one's personal tastes. Having been to many, not all, of the places in Ybor City that roll their own cigars, this has been the only place in Ybor that has gotten my business for the past three years. Their Cuban Bullet is my hands-down favorite, although there are many great cigars being rolled at all times. As for the lounge area, the place is chill, and the ventilation system makes it less smoke filled such that i can take my wife, and she is not one for smoke filled rooms or cigars in general. Whenever i drive through Tampa, i make it a point to stop in and load up. Try it!

If you have never been to Ybor City, you may wonder why there are so many cigar bars and shops. I found out that Tampa and Ybor City is considered the 'Cigar Capital'. I have lived in Tampa for 18 years and recently gotten into cigars. I have tried a good majority of the commercial cigars...JFR, Rocky Patel, Arturo Fuente Etc...But I guess I was looking for a fresher, different kind. I stumbled upon this shop after trying out alot of the other shops in Ybor and felt very comfortable at Long Ash. For starters, the staff and owners SPEAK ENGLISH! I didn't have to use hand signals and act like I knew what they were talking about. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. I am 27 years old and I enjoy that the environment is suited anyone who enjoys cigars! I like to stop in after work for a shot of espresso and a good smoke. The cigars are hand rolled and always fresh. The owners are welcoming and they really make you feel like apart of the family. If you're new to the world of cigars or have been enjoying them all of your life, stop in and say hi to Al! Tell him I sent you!

Ybor City is known for its long history in the cigar industry, and "Long Ash Cigars" is the best and only real "cigar lounge" in Ybor. They have nice leather couches and chairs everywhere and you can see a TV from every seat in the house. The employees are very knowledgable and have the best customer service around. Oh and by the way, they speak both english and spanish!!! They have their own house blended cigars that are second to none. All the cigars are handmade in Ybor City, so there is only one place to get them, Long Ash Cigars. I would definitely recommend stopping by when your in the area and judge for yourself.

Whenever I travel to Tampa from Miami I always stop at Long Ash for a Cigar and Cafe con Leche. Gary behind the bar is a knowledgeable host he is always on point on any subject. The place has a very smooth flow to it where you can enjoy one of there delicious drink a glass of wine, beer, or Cafe con Leche. A must when in Ybor.
