I want to highlight one employee particularly, Jimbo Taylor. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be a patron at Beehive. This guy is like the Neil deGrasse Tyson of cigars. I have never seen someone have so much love and passion for what he does. When I walk into that shop, and I am uncertain of which cigar to go with, Jimbo walks me through, not only his recommendations but the education of why that particular cigar is as good as he claims. Jimbo is a genuine soul. That man has a good heart, and if he ever leaves Beehive, I am following him wherever he goes. This dude is so valuable. He is a national treasure.

I freaking love this place! The staff is knowledgeable and the product selection is fantastic. Their walk in humidor has so many cigars that you feel like a kid on Christmas!! Jimbo has helped me multiple times down there and has spent the time to teach me about particular cigars. He has been patient with me being a novice and helped me to learn what I like and then expand from that point. Jimbo definitely is the guy to see if you have a chance to stop into Beehive!

Good customer service. Came up to ski for the weekend and checked Yelp/Google for a Cigar lounges in SLC. This place had good reviews and I see why. Surprised to see a full well stocked variety of Drew Estate Cigars. Most of the cigars from this line have been out of stock in a lot of the local B&M stores in Houston. PLUS they had plenty of the LFD Andalusian Bull just sitting out in the open. Now their cigars were quite expensive due to the cigar tax in the city. I'd visit them again every ski trip.

I appreciate them and their kindness , no judgement attitude every time I step through the door .Easy access off 300 W. w a big parking lot so u can lose the hassle of tryingto park . They also have stickers and apparel to purchase . I will always go here first when I need that hard to find or just after dinner cigar or just a unique cigar box for crafting or gifting . Stopped in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and size of the collection. I was greeted by an extremely professional and well versed Tobacconist, he pointed me to some new stuff that should be sweet on my pallet thought me about their point system for free cigars and seemed to know much more about cigars than any other shop I’ve been to they have an outdoor lounge it seems and I love that this place exists while cigars are under the attack they are in this state. Won’t go anywhere else for my sticks this is the place.

I am new to cigars and was very nervous/anxious to visit Beehive on fear of looking stupid. The girl who was up front was super nice and friendly. However, dealing with the tobacconist was quite a different story. Not only was he incredibly curt with his words, his entire demeaner was rude, unwelcoming, and seemed annoyed I was even there. The reviews of this page are all top notch, and we all have bad days, so I will give this place another try. I just find it odd someone working in field that they are passionate about would treat a newcomer so poorly.

Fantastic shop. Knowledgeable and friendly staff with a great selection and atmosphere. My only complaint would be that the pipe wall & case seems a little bit neglected. Pipes were dusty and some had oxidized stems, but nothing a quick dust & polish wouldn't fix. Still well worth a visit!

Definitely one of the top 3 humidors I have ever seen as far as selection, layout, and attention to climate details. The last humidor I've enjoyed experiencing like this one, was in Grand Junction Colorado at Rem's Pipe and Tobacco. Or the one in the panhandle of Florida, I reviewed it last year. Read thru my reviews to find that 1, that place was awesome too! I forget the name right off as I'm writing this. Lol, it IS the 1st time that the owner of the cigar shop apologized to me on my way in for the local and state taxes. I thought that was kind of unique. As all a cigar smoker's know, unlike cigarettes with their 700 plus chemicals including arsenic and tar, cigar tobacco is tobaco puro, Just tobacco, as Rush would say, rolled on the inner thighs of beautiful women down in the Dominican Republic and/or Cuba or wherever your favorite leaf comes from. It's funny how many uneducated still don't understand that you don't inhale a cigar you breathe and taste it. Anyways all that data is for anti cigar smokers or those that are just getting started experimenting with the absolute fabulous joy of a good stick. Anyways the freshness of my purchase is top rate. By the way they give military and veterans a little discount. Thank you sir! BTW, it's a little hairy getting there off the interstate, worth it, so be careful!

These guys know their cigars. Best prices in town too! If you arent sure about what you want, tell them your budget and what you've liked in the past and they'll grab you some incredible sticks. Popped in the other day for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised on the overall experience. The location is close to I15 so access is pretty easy and so is the parking which there is plenty of. To me this is an oasis in a region that does not support cigar smoking, so when I saw their large well stocked humidor I got kinda giddy... In a manly way mind you. The humidor is well light and easy to navigate. Best of all I didn't feel like I was being shadowed and was allowed time to browse alone. Something I find lacking in many cigar stores today. Another nice feature is they have both an outside and inside area to smoke cigars. I really look forward to making the 40 minute drive to visit this oasis more often. Great customer support also...Only area driving down my rating is when I called about wanting a specific cigar, the service rep said of course we have plenty. 8 hours and 40 miles later when I showed up they didn't have what I was looking for, nor did they for awhile. I found a substitute and they comped me one free 12.00 cigar. Thanks!

Stopped by today for the first time to grab a few cigars for my humidor. It was a great shop with plenty of variety. The gentleman working was a great guy and very friendly. when I arrived he was on the phone and when I reached the door he instantly hung up and proceed to ask if i needed anything (very professional). I went in picked out a few cigars proceeded to the cash register and had a conversation with him about cigars for a bit then i paid and was on my way. Beehive is the best cigar shop in the state! Staff is very knowledgeable and make you feel like life long friends. Cigars are kept at a perfect humidity. I have been to other shops and they keep their cigars too humid so I have let them sit in my humidor for a few days before I can smoke them. This is not the case here their sticks are perfect!

As a transplant and new cigar enthusiast I found it very hard to find cigars and at a good price with a knowledgable staff in the area. Beehive knocked it out of the park, great guys there who are willing to answer even the dumbest questions I have, so far their recommendations on sticks to try have all been winners in my book when I let them know the flavor profiles I liked so far. Cigars get taxed hard here, as with any other "sin product", but that won't stop me from going in and picking up a few here and there, great business and am happy to support them. Highly recommend going in and just walking around the humidor to take in the smell even and checking out their stock. Keep up the good work guys!

During COVID, they meet you at the front door and ask you what you would like to purchase, and they would grab it for you. My first trip there, I asked for a suggestion on a few new cigars and they absolutely got it right. They are knowledgeable, friendly and during COVID, they were very patient. They are 3x as far away as my regular shop, but they are probably going to be my new go to stop.

I go here for cigars and pipe tobacco. The cigar selection is okay. Lots of trendy boutique cigars. Since covid-19 they haven't let people inside, door service only, which sucks as I like to browse and choose my own cigar rather than the one they grab without checking for defects in the cigar. If they don't start letting people in to shop soon I might have to check out other shops in the valley. Also, they recommend using their online will-call ordering and they mess up the order every time which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead of time.

Spend $30+ and take some time to sit in their lounge. very worth it. Their Cigars without labels right when you walk in the humidor (the cigars made specifically for them) are fantastic. I keep trying other cigars but those are by far the best and very well prices. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Beehive Cigars is my local shop and they serve, not only Salt Lake, but the Rose Park, Glendale and Popular Grove areas on the West Side. What a cool place to hang out. Largest humidor I've ever seen... with the largest selection of cigars... and certainly the largest humidor in Salt Lake City. Excellent selection. I love the smell of the walk in humidor as well. I started out picking up cigars from the occasional smoke shop and some were pretty scary, not even storing them in any type of humidor. These guys kick ass. I bought an inexpensive plastic single torch lighter from them that broke after a couple weeks and they gave me in store credit for it which I had no problem spending. I only wish they would expand their sampler offerings. The only thing that drives me to buy online is to pick up larger sampler bundles. I stopped by Jeannie's smoke shop downtown and their prices seemed a little higher than Beehive's so I've just stuck to going here. Easier access to Beehive as well versus parking and walking around downtown.

Beehive Cigars is a fantastic place for the tobacco loving "discerner". I have been a patron of their establishment for over a year now and have found it to be well stocked with a large variety of pipes, pipe tobaccos, and cigars. More importantly is the knowledge and skill of their staff. The staff are extremely helpful. They have an acute understanding and very broad knowledge of tobaccos, pipes, cigars, and the care and handling of such things. They are extremely polite, which encourages one to return often. The small store has a homey feel that seems to reflect the care that is shown by the staff of Beehive and it's owners. As a pipe and cigar smoker for 25 years I have rarely found a tobacconist, so familiar and aware of their products and the world of tobacco in general. I highly recommend Beehive Cigars for all of your cigar and pipe smoking needs.

Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to stop and enjoy a stick or two here!!!! Made my way out to Beehive from AZ and I was blown away when I walked inside. Walking in, not only were we greeted by Lindsey’s friendly smile, but you already have an impressive selection of pipe tobacco, pipes, humidors, accessories, etc. (and my new favorite Beehive v-neck!!!!) before you even get to the humidor. The humidor is out of this world. Fully stocked without being cluttered and messy, and you could probably find just about anything you were looking for in there. GREAT mix of boutique blends and legacy product. THE LOUNGE. Go into the lounge. Pool table, movie screen, piano, the comfiest couches and chairs ever. Brandon is the coolest dude, super knowledgeable, passionate, and really very accommodating. Beehive gained two new lifetime fans for sure this weekend.

The staff is friendly and will answer any question that you may have politely and informatably. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and even more relaxing if you take advantage of their lounge room where you can enjoy smoking your cigars. It has a billiards table, lots of comfy seating and a lower lighting calming atmosphere and a few other great details, so call them and ask questions, it's worth it.

I like Beehive better all the time. They have the best cigars, best humidor and nicest, most helpful employee. It is sad that the busybody leftwing whiners have shut down their smoking lounge. (Funny that reviewer CD rails against "fascist Mormons" when SLC is run by and infested with SJW TDS-deranged snowflakes, that hate tobacco.) Hopefully the lounge will open again soon!

He sat on his laptop the whole time and would barley respond back to us when we had questions about the different cigars. The owner needs to have a talk with the guy. Based off the other review's i'm not the only person who thinks that about him. Basically he doesn't make you feel welcome On another note the selection and inventory is excellent. I just wish they offered some type or classes or setting where someone like me who is getting started into cigars can come and hang out or ask questions.

We were looking for a smoke shop in SLC....first stopped a c-store where Google pointed us to. The smokes were all machine made and sitting next to the front window and just baking. When we arrived at Beehive the proprietor took us straight to our choice smokes. We didn't have our butane lighter or cutter, so he cut the cigars for us and sold us an inexpensive lighter. There was a smoke room in the back where you could enjoy your stogie. I believe the place was BYOB, as well!

My experience at Beehive Cigars wasn't very pleasant and it wasn't because of the product, that was great! The service there was awful! The man working was arrogant and acted like we was putting him out with our questions. Tall, curly hair, over weight JERK! Beehive has a patio out back that you can go enjoy yourself if you'd like. We were really looking forward to it.. but.. unfortunately he just made us feel so unwelcome that we left:( Maybe if he spent less time on his computer and more time actually helping with questions(just your basic opinion on cigar type questions, nothing ridiculous) we'd come back! Please get better employees that actually care about your customers and the products you sell!
